That Guilmon had enjoyed when his Auntie Lily had came over to Whitewater. He was fairly active in his work, most often taking time to help his family or visiting his old employer Beverly, owner of Caritas. But once Lily's mobile restaurant reaches Whitewater, well, it was killing two birds with one stone.
At this particular day That had been helping Lily. The was an oppritune time to relax, as it was a nice day. A good chance to walk around the area and take in the sea breeze. But there was one odd thing that the BlackGuilmon had came across. A man lying on the ground that may or may not be dead.
He decided to go back, returning to bring along Lily to see this. The two had stood near this human man, wondering what to do...
"You think he's dead, Auntie?"
"Nah, he's just knocked out. A bit scuffed up, though."
"Should we get Marin?"
"No... I run a restaurant not a mobile hotel. I can't keep allowing strangers to sleep in there, especially if they are not injured..."

After a little while, Yaku would begin moaning in discomfort, having been laying on the sidewalk for a long time. As he spread himself out he coughed and wheezed a little bit as he tried to get off the ground. about half-way through this he opened his eyes to see the two guilmon standing above him. Naturally, he screamed and fell back over, cowering behind his briefcase once again. Under his minuscule cover he tried to assess his situation, looking over himself. He remembered a giant monster... and standing up for himself... and then his money burning... oh, right. Money. He has no money anymore. That bully burned it all with his cigar.
He opened his breifcase, letting the makeshift map fall in. He didn't notice it, as he was looking for his wife's photo, which, much to his relief, still was in there. Closing the case and keeping the map, Yaku turned his attention to those who were standing in front of him.
He looked over the two standing above him... they didn't look aggressive, despite their massive claws and teeth. If they were they would beaten him and taken his data (or, however this system works) while he lay in the middle of the street. He carefully got up, keeping a defensive stance. "Wh-who are you?" He asked, pitifully. "What do you want?"

The human began to stir, and eventually fully woke up. To be fair, given that they were right above the guy, his reaction was somewhat justified. But then he started to shift through his things, as if making sure he had something. It looked like a photo, but the man quickly went back to a defensive position, using his briefcase as a shield as if that would have stopped either of them if they were aggressive.
Once asked of who they were, the large pink Guilmon sighed. "We're just passerbys who saw you laying down there. I'm Lily, this is my nephew, That Guilmon. A better question would be why would you on the ground? Aren't you with a digimon?"
"Maybe they're seperated at the moment?"
"Well, we'll let the human tell us what's going on. Are you injured?"

"I uh... I got jumped by a pair of bull- I mean... a pair of criminals. They um... took my money and left me on the streets..." He sighed as once again the Digimon question returned. "I do not have a digimon... I... I think it's a fluke or something, because I can hardly... you know. I'm trying to get home but without money I can't take a trailmon back..." The thought finally struck him. He was trapped. He had no way home. He'd no back-up plan, no associates to call upon a favor of, no idea of what services he could provide for this world or if they'd even care for them.
After staring a long and awkward while, Yaku was snapped out of it by the realization they were still there. "Erm... no, I'm not injured... not badly at least... I just have a few cuts and scrapes." He said, as if he never realized he had a massive gash on his spine. "...C-could you spare me a few um... digi-dollars? Is that what you use as currency here? I just need a train home... to my wife. I've been here a week and she must be worried sick about me..." he explained.

The poor guy was mugged and left on the street. It was unfortunate, really, and the two had some pity for him. They were also surprised that he had no digimon. They then assumed he was a spirit user but looking at him... yeah, he was no spirit user. He was just a guy who wanted to go home, back to his wife. It's a wonder how he even got here, as this is the first time either Guilmon heard of a human coming here without any means of defending themselves.
"Digi-dollars? Usually people's first guess is Digi-yen. Neither are correct, as we use Bits here. And I don't carry any on me. I'm already concerned about my restaurant getting robbed, I don't need to have that worry when I'm walking around as well."
That shrugged, also holding no money on him. "I got nothing on me either. I usually give my money to Auntie, here."
"Look, sorry about the whole mugging thing, but I'm not sure if we can really help. But... I guess if you want you can come with us back to my restaurant. I can give you money to get back to Terminus, at least... but don't go around telling everyone I did so. I run a business, not a charity, and I don't need a bunch of digimon asking for handouts."

Yaku nodded. "Well... you don't need to give me money... I mean..." He didn't want to sound greedy, especially to a pair who where so keen on helping him. "I... I could do odd jobs for you... I'd probably have lost my real job by the time I come back anyway..." He sighed.
A week. He wondered if people were still looking for him, or if they even realized he was gone. He was never a very popular man, and he didn't have very many friends. Just his wife and his co-workers... and most of them hated him anyways. The term DATS would enter his mind once in a while but he highly doubted they'd do anything for him. He'd thought about this multiple times a day, but now was not the time.
"A-anyway... I'd be glad to follow you to your restaurant. I haven't eaten a home-cooked meal in a long time... I-I'll gladly work for it, if you just feed me first..." Yaku was also exhausted. Fainting and sleeping are two different things, although they're both better alternatives to being knocked out, where he would suffer concussions that would be difficult to treat in this weird, backwards world.

"You want to work for me, huh? Hmm... "
Lilly thought about it for a few moments. Well, chances are this would be temporary help, but temp help might be good. Still, he wanted to eat first and looked tired. This didn't look like some sort of trick, though. Even if he was, Lilly could deal with him.
"I was visiting some places nearby, my my mobile restaurant is outside the city. Not too far of a walk, if you can make it. That said, you better not eat and run, human. Or else you'll be running away with a limp at minimum. Come on...
As she said, the walk would take Tridori some time, and they would go out the restaurant outside of town. Once in, they would be greeted by a MarineAngemon, Marin.
"Back already? Hm...and who is this guy?"
"A temp employee. He was robbed and needs money for Terminus. He'll be under you...
The small creature would fly to Yaku and extended one of his fins to the human. "Greetings. I'm Marin. And you are...?"

Yaku was thankful this tubby woman had taken him in. He couldn't do much honestly, and his appearance reflected that, but considering the alternatives was to risk working for trailmon who would -according to UFADO- murder him if he messed up, he was probably better off working for her. She didn't seem the type to murder someone simply because he dropped something or miscounted... then again, maybe that was the reason she was so tubby... he shook the thought from his head and followed them, relaxing slightly.
"I'd never dine and dash ma'am, I assure you, I may be a lot of things, but suicidal is not one of them."
Yaku blinked, confused. How come he couldn't run into tiny adorable things like this instead of the vicious and insane monsters? Sure, they'd probably still try and kill him, but at least his heart would be able to handle them. Yaku shook it and bowed.
"Yaku, I am Tridori Yaku... I am looking forward to working for you, Marin-sama and Lily-sama... although, I doubt I could put you two on a resume..." He chuckled at his own joke, relaxing a lot now that he was out of the open.

Marin shook the man's hand, giving a friendly smile. "Actually you totally can put us on your resume. Just make sure you make note that we don't have an address and you'll be given our contact information soon enough.
Yes I know you said what you said in jest, but I just want to make sure all the bases are covered anyway, come on inside.
The restaurant was currently empty, save for two other digimon, Early the Vilemon and Katie the BlackGatomon. They looked to the human with a welcoming smile before getting up and heading to him.
"Greetings, Vile. I am Early, and this is my dear wife Katie, Vile."
"Hee hee, nice to meet you Mr. Yaku."
Marin gave the two a nod before taking Yaku to a room, and Lilly went to prepare lunch. "There's a couple rooms here. The room with the bunk is where you'll sleep at. It's probably a bit small-ish for you but I think it will do. We won't pay much but you'll have room and board here. We can discuss how long you'll stay here later.

Yaku smiled and nodded, shaking hands and paws alike as he finally found someplace he wouldn't have worry about dying a violent death in. A large amount of associates, a room with a bed, a home-cooked meal, a new job... If he didn't need to return to his wife, Yaku'd argue he'd found heaven.
"Actually, where I come from, Mister Tridori would be the proper name." He smiled, hoping not to sound like a grammar nazi.
Following Marin away, he bowed to the both of them as he left them be before entering his room and tanking Marin for his kindness. "Thank you, Marin-sama. I will do my best to keep it neat and clean."
As he looked around the small room, he did everything to try and make himself at home. Placing his suitcase in the closet and the photo of his wife, placing it in the corner of a picture-frame so he wouldn't have to take out their photos. Taking off his shoes, he took a deep breath and wondered if they'd any spare clothes for him to wear while his washed his.... shaking his head, Yaku removed his coat and pants, remaining in his socks, underwear, and shirt so he could dress quickly if they needed him.
Looking over the bunk he was given, he sighed as it was only a twin-sized mattress... considering what he'd slept on before (a park bench, a Biyomon nest, and a concrete sidewalk) it may as well have been made of clouds. As he collapsed onto the bed, he almost immediately fell asleep.

Yes, the others had graciously welcomed in "Mr. Tridori" with welcome arms... although That hoped he would keep the room clean. Because that was his and his brother's room (hence the bunks). Among the other pictures Yaku placed, there would be one other picture on the wall, showing the whole family that tended to this reasaurant, including one reddish, goo looking creature. However at the moment Tab was not here.
The others would allow Yaku some sleep, as the others talked. After Lilly made lunch, That had left again, heading towards Caritas. It was a quiet day off for them all.
At some point, Marin began knocking on the door to the room Yaku slept in. "Hey, Yaku, are you up? Gotta talk to you about some stuff. Don't worry, nothing bad."

Yawning and wiping off his face, Yaku sighed happily as he found he hadn't had the usual nightmares that plagued him since he'd come here. "Give me a moment, Marin-sama..." he replied between some deep breaths. "I need to get dressed..." Putting on his pants, he returned to the door, smiling like he hadn't in a long time.
Opening the door, Yaku bowed at his superior. "Good Morning, I assume you're going to ask me a few questions about where I come from?" He asked, Marin may notice the photo Yaku had placed in the frame. "I only plan on staying a few days, Marin-Sama... just until I can make enough money to get home... I will answer any question to the best of my abilities, Marin-sama."

Marin did, indeed noticed the additional picture. He didn't mind, considering that ever since Tab and That moved out their room was basically the guest room.
"Oh, no Yaku, I already have the jist of where you come from. You somehow came here without a digimon and you want to catch a train back to Terminus to leave. Hey, fair enough goal, you know?
We're here to talk about what you're going to do, just so we're clear. You're going to be a waiter and as far as I know, it'll be like a waiter in the human world. You'll take orders and serve food. You'll also on occasion wash dishes and clean the tables; basic upkeep.
Finally... you really should get you some new clothes and clean up a bit. There's still a few hours before opening, and if you're a bit late coming back I'll not mind. There's a nearby motel we go to to clean up. Take Early along and they'll let you use our room.
You can buy one full set of clothes for yourself, on us. Don't want customers complaining that some 'dirty human' is serving them food, you know?"

Yaku nodded. "Yes, that sums it up, Marin-sama... I will do it to the best of my abilities, I-I've never been a waiter before b-but I'll give it my best... and some new clothing would be nice... but c-can I not go with Early-sama? He... um... is rather... I do not wish to offend... and I was far too tired to react before... but he kind of... he frightens me..." He whispered to his boss, trying not to be offensive or be overheard.
If anyone had heard anything about Yaku it would be about his many and numerous fears. He had been terrified by a DemiVeemon within the first fifteen minutes of arriving in the Digital World, so a Vilemon? It was miraculous he was still walking and talking at this point in time, let alone about the creature. "...I also have a question... I do not want to be intrusive, Marin-sama, so you do not need to answer... but I've noticed that in these photos there is a member of your... nakama", he said, using a word that roughly translated to "a group, though unrelated, that form a family", "I haven't met..."

Even before Yaku finished his comment on Early, Marin knew exactly what he was going to say. Although he thought things were fine before... but chances are Yaku just did not want to come across as rude.
"Early's used to it. But I assure you that his scaryness is only skin deep. If you can find a nicer Vilemon than him, I'd call you a liar. Still, keep in mind that you'll have to work with him, as he also serves. And also realize that you'll see a number of digimon in any given business day. If a customer gives you any lip, you're free to back off and get someone else. But otherwise... you just can't be sheepish like that. You'll insult the customer and make us look bad, you know? So, I beg of you, just bear with Early and I assure you that you won't regret it."
Yaku also asked about his family. Specifically the digimon in the picture Yaku has yet to meet.
"Oh, that's Tabernackle, we call him Tab for short. Him and his brother That used to work here, but they moved out. That visits us a bit more than Tab, though, but Tab has actually done very well to advertise for us. Without the two of them I don't think we'll be as financially stable as we are now."
