In all of her 14 years of life, nearly 10 of which were basically spent living on the streets of Terminus, Cecilia couldn't help but nervously stare at the greatest challenge she's faced yet.
School.
And not just any kind of school, but junior high school in Shibuya, to be specific. A human school. The holosuited Rubescemon couldn't help but stare nervously at the entryway to the school campus. Her tactical training was absolutely useless here, and that legitimately terrified the teen (although she did manage to keep most of her nervousness hidden away, at least).
Her father actually had Tartar make fake identification documents for her human persona, so today was the day that one "Cecilia Kozuki" transferred into Shibuya's 8th grade class.
But Cecilia knew that she was just delaying the inevitable at this point, so she did her best to make her way inside the school building so that she could attempt to fake being human well enough to avoid gathering unwanted attention. She could handle that, right?
...
...
...
She was doomed.

"Multiple universes, huh?" Luneth confirmed as he and his friend Kaya Matsui were walking to school. Kaya was in the process of telling him about this problem she and her Digimon partner Hawkeye had been dealing with recently, known as the ExD virus. "I thought those were just a theory, or something they use for movies and anime. It actually exists?"
"Yeah, and the ExD virus is a nasty virus that made its way from a destroyed universe," Kaya explained, "or at least that is how King Hikaru described it. Hawkeye and I went investigating a mysterious fruit not too long after that, not knowing that that too was related to the virus..."
"Is there anything me or my family can do to-" Luneth was about to say, before he collided with something -- or someone -- that was in the way of the main entryway. "AAUGH!" Luneth yelled as he collided to the ground, unintentionally taking whoever he bumped into with him.
"Luneth! Are you okay!?" Kaya asked with concern, kneeling down and helping his friend get back onto his feet.
"Yeah... I think so," Luneth responded as he got up, looking back at who he ran into. It was a student, a girl the same age as Kaya. In fact, she didn't look familiar at all... was this a new transfer student? "I'm really sorry about that, I didn't see you there. I'm Luneth Kanzaki," the young man said, holding out a hand for the new student to help her up.
"And I'm Kaya Matsui," Kaya would add with a small wave.

Much like Cecilia before Kshin made his way onto school grounds. He couldn't believe the circumstances of him being in the same grade as some of these large human children but Mandrake took him in for testing under the cover of him being home schooled which in a sense was true. The testing said he was advanced for his age by several grades and now here he was looking out of place as he looked like a ten year old human in middle school. He had been given the same last name as LJ who also attended this school. Seeing the students Kshin was a bit nervous himself but next to him Grace was seemingly lacking the same nervous posture. She had gotten a fake ID from Yggdrasil knows where since Kshin wasn't going to question it and she was practically vibrating with excitement.
Then noise ahead of the pair caught both Kshin and Grace's attention as they noticed that a young man had bumped into a young woman and was apologizing for it. "Uhm, is everyone okay?" Kshin asked still sounding a bit nervous.

Cecilia was so caught up in her internal thoughts that she didn't even notice Luneth's approach until they both collided and ended up tumbling to the ground. Rubbing her head after it hit the ground, Cecilia briefly hesitated before accepting Luneth's hand and rising to her feet. Ooooh, Dad's not gonna like that I let myself get blindsided like that.
"Ow. It's fine. I should've been paying more attention to my surroundings. I've just ... never been to an actual school before, so I'm pretty nervous about this whole thing. I'm Cecilia, by the way. Cecilia Kozuki. Or is it supposed to be said as "Kozuki Cecilia"? I'm confused."
At this point, Cecilia started pulling at her holosuit's hair in minor frustration. "Gah, why is this so hard for me to understand?"
Remembering that she wasn't alone, Cecilia smiled sheepishly at her fellow students. "Sorry, Sorry, I haven't been here in Japan for very long which, combined with the whole 'transition into public school' thing, means that it's all a bit overwhelming for me."

Pretty much everyone nearby had stopped to look when Luneth and Cecilia had butted heads (literally) and fell to the ground. Anything that didn't happen all the time was sure to get a group of people observing at a middle school like this. "Oh, I SO wish I recorded that," one of the kids said after they both had fallen down. Kaya couldn't help but roll her eyes as she helped her friend back up. At least one of the ten year olds had the respect to ask if they were okay.
The girl Luneth had bumped into accepted Luneth's apology, admitting that she should've been more aware of her surroundings. "I think we both could have," Luneth responded. "I was a new kid last year as well, so I am aware of how scary school can be. It's not as bad as you might think it could be... as long as you just keep your head down and do not stand out."
"Luneth!" Kaya scolded her friend as she pushed him lightly. "Don't listen to him, he's... different. And when it comes to names... in English you say your first name first: 'Cecilia Kozuki.' But when speaking in Japanese, you say your last name first: 'Kozuki Cecilia.' And I'd recommend calling us by our last names until you get to know us better. So I'm Matsui-san, and this is Kanzaki-san." Kaya would then look over to the two younger kids that had walked up, asking if they were okay. "And what are your names, again?"
Luneth could feel Cecilia's frustration for not understanding human etiquette. He sighed in response. "Hey... Kozuki-san, right? If you wanna transition more easily into Japanese life, stick around me and Matsui-san. We're... well, more experienced with helping others fit in better, if you get what I'm saying. It's gonna get better, alright?"

Kshin was beginning to feel uncomfortable with the fact that the group was being stared at. It wasn't a matter of him being shy it was the fact that he stood out more than everyone else. Grace, however, seemed oblivious to the students staring. Then Kshin focused on Cecilia when she mentioned transitioning into school being overwhelming. "Yeah this is overwhelming. There are so many students here that I wonder how the teachers handle them all."
When Kaya asked what their names were Kshin, for a few mere seconds, wondered if he should stick with his original plan of using his older brothers' surname or just spit one out randomly. Deciding sticking with his original plan he said "I'm Anderson Kshin. Nice to meet you Matsui-san."
Practically vibrating with excitement the peppy disguised Gammamon smiled before she said "And I'm Bushida Grace. Nice to meet all of you." Looking then at Cecilia she said "Cecilia sounds like such a pretty name."

"Right, right. I'll, uh, try not to draw too much attention to myself then. If that's even possible." Cecilia nervously said, while muttering the last part under her breath. It certainly seemed like that particular bit of advice came a little too late, seeing as they'd already drawn attention to themselves.
The disguised Rubescemon then straightened up and tried to bury as much of her nervousness beneath the surface as she could. "Matsui-san, Kanzaki-san, I sincerely thank you for your kindness. I will do my best to not get in your way as I adjust to being here, and I hope we can get along nicely."
It was only when Kshin and Grace introduced themselves that Cecilia finally noticed that they were even there. "Ah, Anderson-san and Bushida-san, correct? It is nice to meet you both as well."
Cecilia had just turned around to enter the school before almost immediately spinning back towards the others. "I just realized that I have no clue where anything is here. I... don't suppose any of you would be willing to help show me around before classes start?"
Smooth, Cecilia. Real Smooth.

"Don't worry about it," Kaya said with a smile as she patted Cecilia's shoulder. "Honestly a lot of weird things happen in Shibuya, and this doesn't even make the top one hundred. No one will remember this next week, I assure you." Sure enough, the surrounding kids had lost interest and just went about their lives. Maybe this incident would be forgotten much sooner than originally thought...
That Anderson kid mentioned how overwhelming this school was, just with the sheer amount of students present here. "Well this school is all three schools plus college combined into one, it's natural that there would be many students. At least they managed to separate the different campuses so it still feels like they're all separate schools."
After introductions were made, Cecilia admitted that she had... no clue where anything at the school was. She asked if any of them would be willing to show her around the school before classes started. "Oh, Lu-san and I could help with that! The school is pretty much straightforward but it can still be a bit confusing. Just follow us and we can show you where everything is."
"Yeah, uh, for sure, just one second," Luneth said before he pulled Kaya aside and whispered to her so that the others couldn't hear. "Kaya, are you sure about this? We haven't exactly had the best luck when it comes to new students. With this holosuit I cannot tell if they are even Digimon or not."

Weird things happening in Shibuya seemed like an understatement where Kshin was concerned seeing as digimon like himself and Grace came and went between the worlds and were not always kind and benevolent. Kshin had learned the hard way young how harsh life could be but that didn't mean he wasn't against taking chances with making new friends.
As for Grace she was just excited at the prospect of seeing the school since it was multiple schools all rolled into one but were separated so the various ones could be distinguished. When Cecilia acknowledged both Kshin and Grace, Grace said "It's nice to meet all of you. I wish Kshin and I knew the school but we are new too after all." Not knowing a place did not seem to deter the peppy girl but at least she showed she had control so she didn't invade anyone's personal space.
Kaya then said she and Luneth knew the school and could show them around and Kshin said "All I know about this place is that my brother attends this school. Well I'm his adopted brother but he is pretty tall and said he went to the middle school so I guess he would stand out more than I would."
When Luneth had pulled aside Kaya and started whispering to her Kshin looked at them puzzled but he kept an eye on Grace as she looked tempted to listen in her curiosity was more potent than Kshin's but fortunately she stayed put. Could those two suspect he and Grace were digimon? Maybe but unless it came up he would say nothing.
