"I choose to take that Tick comparison as a compliment, thank you very much." he said, crossing his arms in a mock huff even if the sentiment he spoke was mostly genuine and wholly unsurprising to anyone who knew even the barest thing about Zack. Any comparison to a superhero would be both welcomed and embraced even if the hero in question was a square jawed, muscle brained Buffoon. He always seemed to care more about making the right MORAL choices rather than actually weighing the physical consequences of his actions. If was at once the most charming and frustrating thing about the man.
"I mean he's got like half of that, Stacy." Marigold said when she referred to her own dumb luck that had been keeping her alive for this long. Zack tilted his head, unsure of what exactly she meant by that. he was many things but "lucky" didn't exactly spring to mind. he usually caught the majority of the recoil from his own choices without a whole lot of sliding by unscathed like Stacy implied. "He's a major league champion of dumb, now we just need to find him so luck." Marigold said, nearly making herself cry laughing at her own joke. Zack merely rolled his eyes as the two women beside him no doubt took the time to laugh at his expense. He couldn't stop himself from cracking a smile though, good natured sort that he was he wasn't inclined to get offended at someone else's jabs.

Stacy grinned as Zack crossed his arms in a mock huff at being compared to the Tick. "Seeing as like the big guy you mean well but also, like him, you are there when needed even if it gets you into trouble. At least you have Marigold to help you out in tough spots and, from what I've seen, she has been quite helpful."
Marigold's next words caught Stacy's attention and like Zack she was also cocking her head in confusion. Then as Marigold began bursting out laughing nearly crying from the force of it was when Stacy got what the little be was getting at and smiled before looking briefly back at Zack seeing him taking being laughed at his expense well judging by his smile before looking back at Marigold. "I think Zack may have already found his good luck charm when he met you Marigold even if he isn't the luckiest guy himself your luck seems to be better than his and combined you two have been a tough pair to deal with."

"I'd rather get myself in trouble going where I'm needed and meaning to do my best than stay out of trouble by ignoring things I know aren't right, yknow?" Zack shrugged. As always boiling down his impossibly naïve and moralistic worldview in such a simple turn of phrase that it seemed obvious even to people who thought that they knew better. he was so anti-cynical that he hoped even cynics could see where he was coming from. It was charming in a way, how utterly simplistic he was.
"yea, and she's right too. With me as your good luck charm you can do all of that stuff and still maybe keep yourself alive for a little while!" She said, holding up one of her front leg parts in what her equivalent of a high five would be. Zack rolled his eyes but nodded along with the sentiment, reaching one of his hands out and smacking the outstretched leg spike as well as he would, pulling his hand away and shaking it slightly, she was much harder than him and more than a little sharp.

"We wouldn't have you any other way, Zack." Stacy said as she thought of how much she seemed to share in common with him before she then said "As someone who seems to attract trouble myself as some odd trade for having dumb luck I've learned one can't always be prepared for everything. I myself have lost count of how many times over the last year I've gotten out of trouble from improvising a solution. Guess having a creative mind is quite handy for a trouble attracting person such as myself, eh?" She then smirked somewhat mischievously in a way that would remind many that she wasn't as naive as she appeared. That and it gave way to her hidden impish nature despite her more dominant kind and protective traits.
Stacy's impish grin faded as if it was never there as she watched Zack and Marigold high five or, at least, Marigold's equivalent. "Who knows, maybe I'll find a way to get by on more than just dumb luck."

"You're really selling yourself short on that one, Stacy." Marigold said after a small snicker watching her father's wincing recoil away from their high five. It was hard to do that sort of thing when the person on the other end was covered in an exoskeleton hard enough to stop a bullet. or rather, from marigold's perspective, when your high five partner seemed to be as tough and substantial as a glass bowl full of whipped cream.
"Gotta agree with her there, Stacy. You're a well respected agent of a highly efficient law enforcement agency, you're a damn scary fighter when you get right down to it. I think it wouldn't be too hard to say that you're straight up just good at what you do. Luck doesn't seem to come much into play on it. Though I'm sure we could ask that big bug man you sent running with his tail between his legs." Zack said, marigold nodding along as they talked Stacy up. She was a family friend at the very least so it wouldn't be right if they simply agreed with her own appraisal of herself as unskilled or simply lucky.

Stacy watched as Zack had recoiled from Marigold's high five. It was likely Marigold hadn't gotten the hang of giving high fives to beings as squishy and vulnerable as humans yet but likely would get better with practice. Then the duo tried to bring her up and though confused as she didn't think she was selling herself short but she kept her confusion to herself as she listened to their words of encouragement.
"Okay. You have a point. It hasn't been all dumb luck. Though in the beginning a lot of it sure was as I got used to the whole concept of digivolving into some ancient digimon. At first I mainly had help from the spirit giving me what you could call instinctive nudges and now I fight no different than an actual native born inhabitant of the Digital World. Since then I've made friends and even joined AEGIS. Though they can be an odd bunch at times I seem to fit in since I seem to be a bit odd myself."

"You know it seems like no human gets to set foot in this world without having SOMEONE constantly nagging them in the ear. Tamers get their partners, Xros general get a whole gaggle, an you get your ancient monkey spidey-sense." He said, tapping the side of his temple in order to pantomime the psychic connection to the spirit that Stacy seemed to be describing. "It's a shame, the digital world would be such a wonderful place to hang out in if we didn't all have a nag bleating in our ears-OW!" Zack helped and jerked as Marigold gave him a very well deserved dead legging, looking up at him with a deadpan expression like the straight man in a comedy routine.
"I think the point she's ACTUALLY getting at is that no human in the digital world would still be breathing WITHOUT those "nags" in your ear. ESPECIALLY you. At least SHE can turn into a giant monkey on her own while YOU smack yourself onto a digimon ten times your size like a mosquito on a windshield."

"Technically I have an ancient holy wolf that can digivolve into a fishing cat based line as well as a demon spider monkey and I don't consider it nagging since it has kept me alive without being overly persistent in its efforts to communicate. Though I have blacked out twice while digivolved meaning my spirit has only possessed me twice in an effort to keep me safe." Stacy said shortly before Zack got bopped by Marigold. Marigold's deadpan expression got Stacy to start snickering. Somehow she couldn't help it as Marigold began lecturing her father for his periodic stupidity.
"I don't know if the term giant really fits since as Yanchamon I was only five feet tall at the ultimate level. If anything my monkey forms have been my smallest champion and ultimate forms found." Stacy said as her snickering died down. "As for you Zack, you have proven to be a handful for Marigold to keep track of."

"Isn't that just the way? I'm supposed to be the one bossing her around and now I can't get away with anything. What a world, I tells ya." he says, rolling his eyes like the put upon husband or father character in an old sitcom. Marigold bopped him on the flesh of his leg again, softer this time but still getting a bit of a flinch out of him.
"Hey Mr. Spirits? Could we trade? even for like, a day, I would like to be able to hang out with someone who doesn't peak my blood pressure." Marigold said "talking" to Stacy with the rhetorical device of trying to talk to the digital spirits inside of her. Zack pulled her into a hug and she playfully squirmed.
"I'm sure if Marigold could find a way to make me black out while she takes care of a problem, she'd sign up for that in a heartbeat." Zack admitted as all of Marigold's limbs softly flailed while she was pulled into the playful hug.
"Sounds like a plan, I'll take two!" She agreed.

"I don't know if the ancient spirit can easily communicate but it seems to have gotten stronger with the amount of totems I have gathered. Maybe it is because of all the totems are closer to being back together or something. I'm not sure, Marigold." Stacy said before Zack pulled Marigold into a playful hug.
"I think it would be best to only knock him out as a last resort, Marigold, so at least he has a chance to avoid being creamed. Then you could move him out of the line of fire and take over the battle. Believe me, I know from experience how scary blacking out can be given I am epileptic."
Looking out the window and seeing she had little time to get back before dark. That and she was feeling much stronger but wasn't planning on digivolving for awhile. So she pushed herself to her feet before she said "It was nice to see you guys and I'll start sending some of my medications here for an emergency stash incase something happens when I'm in these parts. Bye guys. Oh and Marigold take care of your father."
Stacy then slowly made her way out of the shelter before bringing out her D-Tector summoning her motorcyle from within it before putting the digivice in the Digivice Cradle. Then she dug into the side car pulling out a motorcycle helmet and put it on her head before climbing on the bike. As she revved it up she waved before driving off.

Umm... sure. I'll approve this!
Hunt approved! Also, Zack gets like, a lot of bits, to boot! Like, 3000 of 'em!
...Whenever I get the permission to add bits in again.
