Dante and Wormmon are heading to an area they have not been to before. Rustport Town. Dante recalls the last conversation he had with his frienemy, Shirou. "Face it, Dante. You have t make a decision. Either support me in my invasion, or suffer the consequences." "I'll never fight for anyone as selfish and deluded as you." "Then I will see you in Rustport Town. Don't take too long." Dante knows Shirou is going to invade Rustport Town and force Digimon into servitude. "How much longer, Dante? We better not be the only ones going to stop Shirou's invasion." "I discussed the matter with some other Tamers, and once this goes public, hopefully it will cause enough of a stir to send someone out here." Dante knew it would take a full fledged fighting force to stop Shirou this time, but would this small town receive support? Dante and Wormmon are getting close to the town.
Over in Rustport Town, it was just another day of trying to survive out in the desert. The home of many refugees, just struggling to get by. Soon, some of the settlers see something strange out in the distance. A large tan tank-like vehicle the size of a small fortress is cruising across the sand. Shirou and Terriermon are inside this monstrous creation. Shirou is sipping wine while Terriermon is smoking a cigar. "Wha ha haha aha! Everything's going according to plan! Soon we will have all those bottom feeding scum refugees captured, and working for us. Slave labor camps, death squads, just think of the profit!" "There will be resistance at first, but my calculations predict we can triple the funds we have put into this invasion. This Desert Death Fortress was not cheap to build." "Excellent. Waha haha! Money money money!" The DDF gets closer and closer to the small settlement. "We are within optimal range." "Wonderful! RELEASE THE BUNNY BOOOOOOTS!!!" Large metal doors open up around the DDF. Large robots with rabbit features fly out an head towards the city. They unleash a barrage of firepower on the poor town. They quickly subdue a few of the settlers, placing them in cybernetic restraints that render them powerless for a short time. The bunny bots round up Digimon in the settlement, and invade the Chilly Pepper Tavern and Inn.
Dante and Wormmon arrive at the village. They see the bunny bots attacking the settlers. "Damn! We're too late." Dante hides behind some crates. A squad of bunny bots heads in their direction. They see Dante and raise their wrist mounted mini guns. "Ughh, hello." Shirou exits the DDF and strolls over to Dante. "Well then, did you really think the two of you could stop us? Come with me." Dante and Wormmon follow Shirou into the Desert Death Fortress, with the bunny bots marching behind. Shirou leads them to a large table with plenty of food, and a few too many bottles of wine. "Relax. I just want someone to enjoy this invasion with. I mean, besides you of course, Terriermon." "You can have your stupid little dinner party. I just care about the profits!" Wormmon takes a beastly bite into a cooked chicken. "Yum! Thanks for the stupid little dinner party, Shirou!" Dante pours himself a glass of wine. "Well, if we can't stop this invasion, we can at least wait until reinforcements arrive. Do you really think DATS is going to look the other way against your vicious war crimes?" "Oh, look who's suddenly crying to DATS. All this time you've been saying they are outdated and irrelevant, and now you're asking for their help." "I never said that. It was just implied. And I had 4 glasses of wine that night!"
Shirou raises a remote and activates a large screen. He flips through pictures of his 'genius' plan. "We debated where we should attack first. This is only the beginning. We are going to convert these Digimon into our loyal slaves. They will fight for us. And they will work for us, adding generous funds into our already large bank account. Once we have a sufficient fighting force, we will invade other areas, slowly converting the inhabitants of the Digital World into an army! A nation entirely under our control!" "You're a mad man, Shirou! You should have stuck with obsessing over anime girls and your addiction to video games." "Hey, lay off him! At least he's making money. Shirou! Can you use the money to build me an ice cream factory?" "If all goes as planned, yes, I suppose I could syphon some of our profit towards your ice cream factory." "Woohoo! Go Shirou! I hope nobody saves this pathetic little town, and we get to hang out in here and live like kings!" "And while we wait for the town's resources to be accounted for, let's play some video games." Dante knew that Shirou had gone too far, but that he was in over his head. The only thing he could do now is wait for someone to come to the town's aid, and hope that Shirou is stopped. Innocent Digimon were being taken out of their homes and forced into working for Terriermon and Shirou. Who would answer the call? And why is Wormmon showing even more evil tendencies than usual? This could be a sign of a mega problem. |

Timothy was still very much out of the loop when it came to tamer information, he was only here because he wanted to play with Yokomon and Tokomon seeing as Yokomon was still really hyper. He always wondered when she would calm down. Yokomon was already taunting Tokomon and messing with him in her usual attitude, "Tokomon, you're too slow." Tokomon would frustratingly reply with, "You told me to crawl after you because I was too fast ten minutes ago!" Timothy laughed a little seeing some smoke in the distance. He didn't note the tanks there and said, "Guys, sandstorm coming, I think? Lets go inside just in case." The two small digimon nod to their tamer before following him into one of the huts.
Shortly after, Timothy, Tokomon, and Yokomon can hear the rumble of vehicles and Yokomon wondered what was going outside right before saying, "Can we go out now? I don't hear sand, I only hear vehicles." Timothy sighed, "Lemme look out first, I don't want you guys to be hurt too much yet. As soon as he looked out, all he saw were bunny bots running around grabbing villagers and enslaving them. Timothy quickly hid back in the hut, breathing heavily, "Okay, there are bunny robots out there enslaving people and we're the only ones around right now to help..." Almost immediately afterwards, Yokomon and Tokomon said, "This will be great/horrible!" Timothy laughed before saying, "Well, lets go!"
They ran out after the first bunny bot they see and Yokomon immediately started firing her bubbles at the nearest one, while Tokomon jumped at it's foot and started biting at it. None of these attacks were likely to be effective, but Timothy was hoping someone would notice the fighting soon and help.
About five minutes of doing absolutely nothing to the bot later, Timothy, Yokomon, and Tokomon are casually moved into a cage with the rest of the prisoners.

Well this was a new experence, Kira riding around on the back of a large Fox going random places, the ten year old held on for fear life as her partner ran through the digital world so she could explore the area, after being told she was fast as doing this evolution thing she was happy that she was able to run around and look for people to help, and this led her to a new town where weird bunny robots were grabbing digimon for some reason. "Kyubi." Kira said as the digimon suddenly did a one eighty and ran the other way.
"Kyubiimon! We can't just run we have to help." Kira said pulling in the Fox trying to get her to turn. "M'lady this is not our fight, we do not need to do this." She said wanting to keep the girl safe, but Kira saw the other teen fighting. "Someone is fighting already, we have to help. He could get hurt." Kira complained as the Fox sighed. "Fine, stay on my back, if anything happens we leave. You got that!" Kyubi ordered and Kira nodded, the Fox then ran back before standing looking at the robots.
Her rails glowed with a harsh blue light as several fireballs were created before firing themselves as the robots, making sure to hit no one else of course, she also aimed for a few around the teen with the smaller digimon.

Well, that wasn't a completely accurate picture of Rustport: once a thriving den of trade and backstreet, western style crime, the entire town was already once destroyed, and rebuilt into its new glory under the leadership of Beverly. The same Beverly that was currently championing as the new owner of Whitewater. And with this loose connection, Iko and Luke had found themselves in this desert town. Why not check up on their new boss's 'original turf', after all?
Absolute insanity, that's why not.
"Well, ain't this a treat... come out here in dead heat, and its the one day of the month that some madman thinks they can underestimate this place." Currently hiding in the shadow behind a nameless tavern, Iko, standing as his champion form, wipes his brow. He almost seemed more perturbed about the heat than anything else around him.
"Well, what about it? You going to try and get chummy with the person taking over this town, too?" A short distance behind, Like let out that remark, earning a mere chuckle from his partner. "Nah, not this time." His eyes viewed one of the robots. One of many, but this one was being outright embarrassed and hog-tied by a local Starmon, only to have another turn the corner. "There's a limit to the amount of stupidity I can handle in a single sitting, and this has outright blown it out of the water. Well... we may as well have fun until the cavalry arrives, eh?" They had Beverly's number, after all, just a quick cell call away. "Get that taken care of, Luke, and stay in hiding."
Luke nodded, retreating further into the shadows. As for Iko, well, this simply couldn't go unpunished: he walked straight of the alley, blazing in a golden light, immediately taking his ultimate form of Shaininmon. This earned the attention of two robots straight off the bat, guns aimed and bullets denting his armor.
"Hmph."
With a single tendril at one foot of each robot, Iko would flip them over, right on their heads, leaving nothing but two piles of scrap before him. "What half-a**ed idea is this... nothing but bunny bots?" Gritting his teeth, Iko seemed almost a bit angry. This town wasn't devoid of power, and something like this could be repelled almost locally. No, something didn't smell right about this, which was why Iko was currently taking it slow: unless someone was in immediate danger or he was aggressed on personally, the armored wolf wasn't going to waste too much effort trying to stop this entire thing at once.
Little did he know about the in-trainings just a block over...

Shirou continues to watch the monitors inside the fortress. "Hmm, it appears the cavalry has arrived." Terriermon's ears stand straight up. "Who's out there?" "There appears to be two Tamers with Champion level Digimon taking out some of our squads." "What?! Lemme see lemme see!" Terriermon rushes over to check on the arriving forces. "Who's that?" "It appears to be a Kyubimon." "Ugh huh, ugh huh, who's that?" "It appears to be a Tamer with twin in-training Digimon. They have already been captured." "Baha haha! Fools!" Terriermon takes two puffs from his cigar. "I've gotta say, Shirou. Ever since I met you, our operations have had great success! Oh, this could be the big one. Let's squash this entire town!" "Actually, I've been thinking. There's a prominent trade route not far from here. If we were to ambush them and intercept the goods, we could divert all those resources to Rustport, and fortify the town." "Yes, this town could be our main base, while we pick off more areas one by one." Dante is disgusted by their greed. (Thinking) "Two Champions, and a Tamer with a pair of in-training Digimon? Damn, I hope Timothy wasn't foolish enough to come out here. If anything happens to them, I could never forgive myself for letting Shirou get away with this!"
After capturing many Digimon in the town, the bunny bots turn their attention to the attacking Digimon. Several Tamers have arrived on the scene, and the remaining locals are fighting against the bots. One of the squads goes after Ivo, firing a barrage of bullets from across the street. The sound of gunfire could be heard coming from all over the city. However many troops Shirou and Terriermon brought with them, it sure was a lot. A squad of bunny bots closes in on Kyubimon, attempting to block off an escape. Two of them fire a large laser cannon at the fox Digimon. Should the blast hit, it would target Kyubimon's data, weakening her abilities. Wormmon continues to chomp down food inside the fortress, watching the battle take place outside. "Wow, this is so awesome, Dante!" "Wouldn't you rather be fighting right now?" "Ehh, I haven't really picked a side. I'm kind of rooting for these guys." "Wormmon, how could you?!" "At least they know how to get things done. All the battles we've been in, and what do we have to show for it? Do we get a cool fortress, or bunny bots? No!" Wormmon jumps up and throws a chicken bone at Dante's head. "He's got a point there, Dante. It's all about the MONAYYY!" |

Timothy sat down in the cage, watching the fight break out and sighing, This didn't go well at all..." Tokomon sits on Timothy's leg, "I could be worse, we could be beaten up even more." Yokomon looks at Tokomon in disgust, "But we didn't which is why this is the worst possible scenario!" Timothy laughs a little, "Don't you think it would be better to... You know, think of a way out?" Yokomon nods in agreement, "Yeah! Lets do it!." She then starts slamming herself against the bars in hopes of maybe it being loose. Tokomon sighs, "For once, this is the best idea I've got..." He then runs at the bars and starts gnawing at them, in hopes of it tearing as well and them being able to squeeze out.

Kira looked around as they seemed to notice the duo, which was easy since Kira wasn't making herself well hidden by just attacking. Kyubimon looked around getting a read as to where they were coming from, they started to surround her before firing blasts at her, obviously with Kira on her back dodging was her number one priority to make sure the girl would not take a hit. She jumped high into the air, blast going straight past towards another group of bots, before spinning around cloaking herself in a blue flame. Her Dragon wheel attack.
Interesting though she didn't attack the ones in front of her. No the Fox instead sent the large blue fireball behind her towards the exit. The attack was large enough and had enough force to blast away any of the bots caught in its firery inferno, she would then land in the open space created from her attack looking ahead at the rest of the approchinf bots. Kyubi had a exit and would hold this spot unless she was forced to move,

Marshal and Firamon were riding over the Flatlands once more, still in search of that new Digimental that, frustratingly enough, had seemed to move again on the D-Arc's radar. Marshal wondered if the darn thing was just broken, or if it just had a bug that could be patched.
"We'll find it eventually," Firamon assured his Tamer. "Again, I don't see why this would be necessary, but at the end of the day it's your call."
"I guess," Marshal sighed. He was starting to get tired. They had been combing the entire Flatlands over the past few days and hadn't found it anywhere. Then when they'd come back the next day, it would be in an entirely different spot. Marshal gave a glance around the landscape. Rustport Town was coming into view, but something seemed off. There seemed to be a bunch of strange, robot-like creatures swarming the town, which certainly weren't there last time Marshal was in town. "Woah," he breathed shaply. "That's...new."
"Marshal!" Firamon cried out. "Kira and Kyubimon are down there!" Marshal quickly caught a glimpse of a yellow fox with a girl riding on top down on the ground, a squad of the strange robots approaching the duo. Without even having to say anything, Marshal and Firamon dove down to the town to help out. Firamon launched a Fira Bomb at a few of the approaching bots, hoping to catch them by surprise and distract them so Kira and Kyubimon could either get out of there or launch another attack to finish them off.

Well, maybe I've been a bit too forward already...
Already, a handful of robots had already taken a bead on the ultimate-level Shaininmon, bullets blazing across the armored Digimon. Gritting his teeth as some began to rain down on his armor, Iko adapted: contorting his own shadow around into a solid mass in front of himself, he skirted the bullets off on the side, darting as quick as he could down another alleyway. There was no point wasting energy there - if this was to be a battle of attrition, the wolf had to pick his battles carefully.
It was then, though, that Iko broke out into the other area, where Kira and a Kyubimon were holding their own? Holding the exit, even! "Finally some good news!" Ugh, but those robots beyond were still going to be a problem! A slit on his helmet opening, Iko let out a laser of his own, his Lunar Ray, aiming it dead center at the closest robot... before he would fire at the next, then the next! It was his lowest-cost move by far, but he hoped it was enough to rend them useless. A moment later, Firamon and another human touched down!
"It's not the best time, but hi, I'm Iko! If I'm going to be sticking my neck out with you four for the long-run, how about we share some names?"

Shirou and Terriermon continue their attack on Rustport Town. "What's this? I'm picking up another Digimon in the area." "So what's the big deal?! The bunny bots will squash them just like all the rest!" "That's just it. Too many of our forces have been taken out. At this rate, we won't have the advantage for long." Shirou brings up a file on his monitor. "Looks like we might need you sooner rather than later, Keramon." Terriermon starts to panic. The dollar signs he sees dancing around his head are being shot down. "Grrr, I'm not gonna let a bunch of kids get in the way! It's time for phase 2, Shirou." "Certainly." Shirou pulls a lever on the command console. A red button appears, and Shirou presses it. Red lights on the bunny bots start flashing. "If any of the Digimon get too close to our bots, they will self destruct, and take out anybody nearby." "Waha haha ha haaa! I like you, Shirou. When you see a problem, you blow it up!"
Tokomon and Yokomon are able to escape out of the cage. One of the bots sees them, and starts heading over to recapture the twins. The squad going after Kira and Kyubimon close in on them, staying back and firing from a distance. More squads turn their attention to Shaininmon and Firamon. They don't know it yet, but if they get too close to the bunny bots, they will self destruct and take them down with them. One of the bots charges towards Shaininmon from behind, in an attempt to self destruct within close range. Even with more Tamers showing up to defend the town, the numbers game still overwhelms the group.
Dante watches the battle on the monitors from inside the fortress. He sees the Tamers and Digimon coming to the rescue. (Thinking) "This is great. If enough Tamers are here, there's no way Shirou and Terriermon will be able to fight them all. The only thing that's certain is that there will be a bloodbath before this is over." Wormmon continues chowing down on food. The Worm King grabs a large bottle of mustard, opens the top and starts pouring all the mustard into his sideways mouth. "Ohh, that's good stuff." "Let me ask you again, Wormmon. Don't you want to stop Shirou and Terriermon?" "Why should I? They captured us right off the bat. I'm just glad we get to eat and watch this epic showdown. They could have shot us right in the face from the get go." "It's true, I could have. But even though I know you don't agree with my, "business plan", we can still be friends, right Dante?"
"Yes, Shirou. We're still friends. But some of those Tamers out there are my friends too. You should cut your loses and get the hell out of here while you still can!" Terriermon takes a puff from his cigar and puts it out in an ashtray. "Who cares about friends?! They should know better than to get in my way! The only thing that matters is profit! I've never needed friends, I have dozens of operatives working for my organization. And now that we have created the bunny bots, there's nothing that can stand in the way of our total domination." "The only thing left to do is decide on a new flag for the nation we will build. Terriermon wants to put a rabbit on it, of course." |

As soon as Yokomon and Tokomon are free, Yokomon starts hopping around, "Yay, yay, yay, yay!" Tokomon sighs, "Yes, we're two in-training digimon free in the middle of a battlefield, I don't think we're in a better position." Yokomon smiles, "But at least we're free, now lets fight!" Tokomon sighs, "I guess that's the only way out..." Timothy is looking at the bunny bot closing in on them and shouts, "Guys, there's a robot coming after you." Yokomon shouts, "Lets get him!" Tokomon sighs in agreement, "Okay, but lets not get ourselves back in a cage!" Yokomon shouts happily, "That's what I like to hear, lets go!"
As they're rushing at the bunny bot ever so fearlessly, Timothy's digivice starts to glow along with Yokomon and Tokomon. Timothy hasn't seen this happen before, last time they digivolved, they both just changed, just like that, so he didn't think it was that. He then grabs his digivice and looks at it curiously. He then holds it out trying to look at it. He looks back at Yokomon and Tokomon as they merge into one. They DNA Digivolve into a gray bird with some pink on the back and a Purple ninja shirt. They shout out, "Ninja Biyomon! This is so cool!" Obviously was Yokomon speaking. "Yeah, we'll let's try this out on Mr. Robo-bunny over there!" Timothy guessed that was Poyomon speaking. They jumped into the air and shouted, "Ninja Blade!" They begin to throw out ninja stars at the robot bunny attacking that, cutting into it and eventually shutting severing an important wire and make the thing topple over. Timothy's jaw was wide open as he saw them take over down, "Yeah! Go help the others! Go free me first!" Ninja Biyomon laughed, "Okay!" They then unleashed another burst of ninja stars that cut apart the cage side. They then race off into the battle throwing another burst of stars at the next bunny bot. Timothy is chasing after them excitedly.

Oh would you look at that it's Marshal. Good timing Kyubi could just leave this to him right? He was Ultimate. Oh and another newcomer. Kyubi didn't take her eyes off the the opposition in front of her but still gave a small nod. "Kyubi, and this is Kir- M'lady?" she asked before turning her head a bit to notice the girl cluching the Fox eyes spinning around completely dizzy. "Ughh I don't want to twrly, make it stop spinning." in hindsight just because she couldn't be effcted by the moves didn't mean she didn't get dizzy when she spun around like a top.
But at least she was holding on tight that was good, her attention was turned back to her opponents but something stood out, they started beating red. Red was always a bad sign. "This doesn't look good." she muttered out backing up a bit moving around dodging the attacks, despite their standing their ground for some reason charging them didn't seem like the best idea, better be careful.

"The name's Marshal!" Marshal said to his new acquaintance, Iko. "This is my partner, Firamon! We'll talk later!" Like that, Firamon took to the skies, hoping to stay out of harm's way while taking shots at the robots scattered about the town.
Firamon decided to skip all the fancy flying and just take it easy while he had Marshal on board. If things got hairy, then he would certainly tell Marshal to hang on, but there was no need to take unnecessary risks. Firamon shot a few Fira Bombs around the area, targeting small groups of robots at a time.

Kyubi, Marshal, Firamon, and 'Kir', huh? Well, at least they seemed to be in good spirits! Marhsal and Firamon were quick to exit the scene, but as Kyubi seemed concerned for her tamer's condition, Iko turned on the spot: "He okay? Can you- gah!"
That thought was cut off, as one of those robots was charging right at his direction! Gritting his teeth, not wanting this thing to get close in any respect, the side of Iko's arms began to pulse green. He would swing his right arm out, a long range, jagged whip of green energy flicking out, intent on ripping this thing in half. It was still approaching, though, and though the whip would definitely slice through the casing? That just made the bomb go off earlier! Thrown off his feet, armor singed, the wolf would land hard on his back, a clear sense of pain running through his body. But he couldn't falter: he stood right back up, and darted next to the Kyuubimon: with his back near the exit, this way, he wouldn't have anyone able to sneak up from behind.
"T... that's not a hit I wanted... to take..." Catching his breath, Iko's focus remained forward. He was the strongest one here. If he fell, well, it wouldn't take long for the sheer number of robots to overwhelm at least this part of the city!

Terriermon's bunny bots were terrorizing Rustport Town, but that wasn't going to stop these Tamers and their Digimon partners from fighting them off. Timothy's partners DNA Digivolved to the stealthy Ninja Biyomon, and in this new form, they were able to take out one of the bots by hitting them in just the right place to disable the mechanized rabbit. Iko had a close call with a suicidal bunny bot. As they charged closer, Iko was able to take them out before they reached close enough. The damage from the blast was significant, but had the bunny bot detonated within range, well it wouldn't be an attack someone could just walk away from. As the group took out more and more of the invading forces, Terriermon was beginning to sweat.
"Rrr, what's going on?! This wasn't supposed to happen!" "Relax, big ears. In chess, the pawns go first." (Thinking) "Great. So now Shirou thinks he's Magneto." Shirou scrolls through some files on the monitor. "It's time we make our next move, and get the ball back in our court." "A sports reference? I wasn't sure you've ever seen a ball before." "Oh Dante, you're just sooo funny. Even after being captured, your negative attitude knows no end." Shirou flips a switch, and he leans forward to speak into a microphone. The fortress plays his nerdy voice for all the Tamers to hear.
"Attention! This is Shirou speaking. You're new lord and master. Tenants of Rustport Town, WE ARE TAKING OVERRRRRRR!!! You will all either fight for us in our conquest of the Digital World, be forced into slave labor camps, or killed by our mighty army of killer bunny bots. And to the Tamers who have chosen to rise up against our cause, I can't say I don't understand why you are fighting. But it's time to realize that resistance is futile. I cannot guarantee you will make it out of this invasion alive. Now is your last chance to run away with your tail between your legs. If you are foolish enough to stay and fight, please report to the outside of the Desert Death Fortress, and await further instruction. Once all Tamers have gathered outside the fortress, and the city has been captured, I will deactivate the bunny bots for the time being. I have much, much bigger plans in store for you."
Terriermon smiles a wicked grin. He rubs his tiny paws together, thinking about all the money they will have once they have taken control over a significant portion of the Digital World. "Yes, yeeees!!!" Wormmon crawls over to Shirou and climbs up on top of his head. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?!" Wormmon leans into the microphone. "Is this thing on? Whoah, I can hear my voice! Check check, 1 2, chimichanga chimichanga! Please gather up all the food in the town and bring it to the giant land base thingy.
