Her hands were shaking, her body squirming and her tail flailing behind her. It was hard to talk about this without actually upsetting her; she was emotionally charged and it was very obvious. Her normal calm demeanor that she usually managed to push out was falling apart. Making it hard for her to keep the same solid mon that she always seemed to be.
Mikemon helped, oh lord did he help. His own motions, actions and soft being was very therapeutic. She didn't care if he was some demonlord a long time ago; she didn't care that she had these problems. He was simply just here and helping her which was more than she could even expect from anyone.
Examon was gone. She was the strongest emotional support she had; they constantly telling her things and helping her calm down when things were going to go poorly.
Jesmon was gone. He was the strength of her relationships; he gave her solid advice about just about anything the examon couldn't. He was constantly ensuring her safety and had saved her life. He had made sure that her death wasn't permanent and even spent the time to make sure she was whole again even when GraceNovamon wanted to leave.
A hand slowly crept up to her muzzle and she'd grip it tightly; letting out a stiff whine as she could feel tears start to roll down her cheeks. Mikemon's words only made her shudder a bit and she'd push her head against his once more her ears laying flat against her skull.
He was right in every sense, they were incredible figures. They were willing to do so much for her and for the digital world even in the position they were in. Then he told her she was kind, no she couldn't help but feel selfish. That her desire for survival had robbed the digital world of two stout protectors they sorely could of used.
"...I... yes... I really do have time. I... ugh. A thousand years of soft gentle pacing into something like this.. I would be a fool to think I didn't need more time for something along these lines."
The renamon shuddered a little bit and leaned back, her head pressing against the couch and she'd exhale slowly.
"I know. You've been here for me so much so that it'd be impossible for me to think otherwise..."
The renamon reached over to the cat and patted the top of his head; smiling warmly to him.
"I might stay longer than a week, but I don't expect you to drop your work for me. But having some... time to recharge and get things together might be a good one."
She'd consider briefly and close her eyes. There was a distinct moment where she could feel the spirit within her and then as suddenly as it came it went.
"...Did she tell you her name? Did the Knights tell you their names?"

Of course K couldn't handle this so easily. It hurt to think about it, she didn't want to talk about it, and it kept welling up in her head. All the feline could honestly do was support her: his words were said, and he was here for her to talk to, to help her through this.
It was up to K to make the next step. As she came in once more for a hug, tears streaming out of her eyes, the feline simply wrapped his arms warmly around her back. For the moment, he said nothing more, slowly feeling K settle into place - at least, enough for her to start to take deep breaths, and get her words out. She needed time - probably way more than the week they had thought initially.
"You're welcome to stay as long as you want - and come whenever you need to. Heck, I'll even give you a key." The Mikemon gave a smile, nuzzling up to that hand. About then, something 'clicked' for her: what was that spirit?
The Mikemon blinked. "... The Knights were simply Jesmon and Examon. Knights aren't typically allowed to have their own name - they're usually known by their number." But as for the third spirit?
"... But as for the new one, she said her name was 'K'. That she's 'you', of course." It was a bit awkward to say, but he tried: "Its as if she knows everything about you, but only by words and not feeling. She's still establishing her own identity - she may end up being like one of those images you saw in your own mind."
That said, he gave a small blush. "... And she seemed quite interested in 'love', as it were."

K shifted slightly, her ears still flat against her head. It was painful to think of all the things she had lost; but she had to mourn them. She had to address them and not let them simmer like she let her inn. She had to let go slowly of the things that she no longer had. That was something she had trouble doing; it honestly was a surprise to her that mikemon would even put up with her honestly. She was burdened with trouble left and right...
She'd shake her head a little bit and push that thought train away and let out a firm but soft sigh.
"I would love that. But I might not need a key I can ah.. Teleport remember? I could just pop around the doors and such. It's how I used to get around the inn so fast"
The renamon chuckled softly; not seeming bothered by the offhand mention of what she used to do. If there was one thing that she had managed to move past; it was the fact her inn was gone. Never to return; she had no desire to start another. But she was willing to settle down in the end; once her journey was done... Whenever that was.
"Strange... I. Didn't know that they went by their numbers. That's a bit odd. Did you ever get their numbers? I feel like I should at least pay respects to them in earnest."
The renamon rubbed her muzzle and raised her brow as the Mikemon spoke in reference to the third 'spirit'. That it was her, that her name was K and that she knew everything about her. But only by words and not feelings. The fact that they were establishing their own identity much like how k was.. Simply wasn't surprising.
"That's a relief to hear really, if she truly is me maybe she'll be able to help where I find myself lost. But I imagine too long and eventually we'll just be one I guess?"
The renamon quirked a brow and felt her muzzle turn a light shade of red.
"She... was? That's... Strange... uh... well.. actually no it's not I suppose..."
The renamon fidgeted a bit and let out another soft sigh. It was difficult for the renamon to think about that sort of thing still; the teasing the gentle reminders they were together. Then there was always that looming feeling of what if she wasn't like her mother?

She could teleport, so she didn't need a key? Mikemon gave a chuckle, shaking his head at the though: "Though true," he smirked, "you have to remember that you're in a city. If you do something like that, someone's going to call and say 'Hey, I think a Renamon just broke into this place. Better check it out."
So yes, even with her experience a key might not be a bad idea. As for the Knights, K was starting to learn just how much she didn't know about them: who were they, really? What were their numbers? The Mikemon actually mulled over that thought, closing his eyes, picturing their cores as he remembered them. "... Jesmon the 16th and Examon the 17th. If you consider that I'm 'Greed the 36th', well... they're quite a bit more 'antique' than me, I suppose."
Age really wasn't a factor between them, of course, though K seemed hopeful for this new spirit. At her blush, he returned one of his own. "Well, she is you, so its not... 'that' surprising. Actually... I might as well..."
He paused, taking a deep breath. And for the next few minutes, he explained everything that the inner spirit had said.

K blinked owlishly and rubbed her muzzle sheepishly. She hadn't thought about that actually; it would of course bode very ill if she did that wouldn't it? She felt her face start to flush as she really wasn't used to city life or the city norms. If someone had seen her in the town they would of just presumed she had forgotten her keys inside of the inn or something.
"R-right I uh.. I don't really know how City laws work in comparison to the town's I guess. Or.. what's normal."
She'd give him a sheepish smile and look down to her hands; looking somewhat out of sorts. Out of her element. She didn't know what to do half the time here; she didn't know where to go. The standards were so much different and the renamon let out another sigh. This one sounded much more weary than the others.
"I suppose yes. I'll have to see if they have some history to them that I can access, have to learn where you came from to know where you're going... Or. Well. The humans seem to think that at least. And antique? Did you just call the both of us old?"
The renamon snickered and stuck out her tongue at the mikemon; looking slightly better than before. At his next line however she'd tilt her head, looking curious and then ultimately she'd raise her brows at that deep breath. His blush wasn't really surprising to her; he was comfortable about talking about certain things and that must of been one of them after all.. She was a little more reserved she felt.
The renamon sat there, her ear twitching a bit and she'd look down at her hands again when he finished telling her everything that her spirit had said. She looked pale and then slowly but firmly did she shake her head again.
"The hallway to the end. GraceNovamon. My keys. Her existence.. Everything about this is speaking in finalities. So whenever I get her form is when I'll end up at the Door... Lord. I've got time and at the same time I don't... It's a baffling sensation."
She'd give the Mikemon a quizzical look.
"I feel like each passing day, the Sea of Blood is less and less likely the answer to GraceNovamon. But I think I'd be more than willing to accept other's help with dealing with her. Much of what I said makes sense, and some of it doesn't. I'll see if I can talk with her later..."

"Heh, no worries. It takes a bit to get used to the city, honestly." At that point, all the Mikemon could do was chuckle and offer her a playful elbow to the side - honestly, that point was more silly than anything else. And yes:
"Heh. I guess I did call both of us old." He stuck his tongue out back at her, before the conversation took a much different tone. Everything that the inner K had told him about was now on the table:
Her keys. His keys. Both of their doors, as well as that of GraceNovamon. The apparent strength of love. All of those points hung in the air - and in regards to GraceNovamon, well, K didn't seem all that surprised. It might have been the thing she spent the most time thinking of, and, well:
"The only thing I can draw from it, is that if you two fight, it is the end of one of you." He paused, and clarified: "Or, at least, that's whatever 'fate' is in the cards right now. I've stared at that door myself, and did everything in my power to change it. She even said I was strong for it... even if I didn't feel it at the time." He briefly hugged his hands around hims arms, shaking his head. For now, well, it seemed that K at least had a plan.
And, at that juncture, the cat moved to 'fall' sideways, resting his head atop one of the Renamon's legs. "Never actually 'held' my keys like that before... hmph."

"I suppose I'm not in a rush..."
The renamon sighed and gave the mikemon a smile at the playful elbow. She'd reach over and gently pat the top of his head; he was certainly being quite affectionate wasn't he? Then again she was going to be here for a while and he most certainly would of missed her. Could she really blame him? No. No she could not.
"Well, I still feel like I did when I started up the inn!"
She'd snicker and shift slightly, giving him a curious look. What was she really supposed to do other than accept everything that he told her? It all came from within her, all of the problems that she had seemed to be somewhat her fault in a strange way. So it should be that she should be the one to fix them, or figure them out. Or at the very least she should of been thinking about them.
"That's not a surprise to hear; twas my thought in the first place..."
She'd blink and tilt her head slightly as he talked about 'fate' as well as the fact he had stared at that door himself. She considered it briefly and shifted watching the cat quietly. She looked somewhat surprised to have the mikemon 'fall' onto her but she'd simply give him a smile and gingerly place her hand onto his head scritching at one of his ears.
"It takes a lot to do what you did right? She probably thought the same as I."
The renamon leaned just a little bit and looked around looking somewhat unsure. She could feel her fur bristle a bit as she tried to figure out something; the keys themselves had never been physical to her. She had never seen them in her mind's eye but she had felt them. Perhaps that was another step she could take?
"I don't.. think I've ever held my keys to be honest. Other than them just existing inside of me they've just.. been known and understood to me."
She'd rub her muzzle and stare down at the mikemon; giving him a soft smile after a few long moments.
"So... Feel up to that dinner still? I wouldn't mind more of this though."

Fate, especially when presented in such a 'physical' way to him, was both an interesting and concerning thing to ponder over. Both the 'keys' and the 'doors' were abstract concepts, meant to be interpreted and used by Digimon in certain ways, if at all - but K's own faith of them had given them form in her mind, and her faith that they could reside in others made the cat's own show as well.
Gently running a hand down K's fur, stroking just above the knee, the feline gave a nod. "It takes a lot, yes, but its what I felt I had to do." Leaning his head back against that scratching hand, the cat let out a low purr - what was that regarding her keys? "Mm. Well, I was holding them in your mental space, so I can't say I've even 'held' them as of now. Though I'm not entirely surprised they showed like that..."
In the moments of silence that followed, the cat simply relaxed - his ear twitching at her last question. Chuckling, he slowly sat up. "Sure, though it will just be whatever I have around. Let's see..."
Well, it would definitely be some time later - and really, the Mikemon wasn't kidding. Leftover turkey, raw vegetables, and whatever drinks were available in the break fridge were about as much as the cat could offer, but it would at least would have been enough for the night. In that exchange, the cat had finally managed to move their gloves and the cloak from the washer to the drier, leaving the two quite a bit of time before those would be up and ready.
Stretching his arms in a small yawn, the Mikemon gave a smirk: "Heh. Feeling a bit better, now?"

K considered what her Keys might have in store for her, what fate might have in store for her. The end of the hallway, the door that she'd have to address later. The strength of the other that was intertwined with her in such a way that would make it impossible for them to avoid one another. The renamon slowly exhaled and looked down at her hands; she felt weathered she felt old. She felt the weight of the years that she had been through sort of bear down upon her; but did she flinch? Did she worry?
No she just simply decided to carry on.
The gentle hand that ran down her fur only elicited a small but somewhat pleased sigh from her before she gingerly continued her ministrations to the other's head. How many cat like digimon could she say that she honestly knew? She was surprised that she even managed to hit the right spot.
"Well, I'm glad you did it. Else I don't think we'd be sitting here right now."
The renamon chuckled softly and leaned back against the couch. She could feel the faint tingling of the scars on her body; and some aches from staying so long in that shower. She really should of gotten a hold of herself shouldn't she?
"Perhaps the presence of other keys spurred them to appear in such a manner?"
The renamon quirked a brow and gave the cat a small grin as he sat up. She was looking forward to an actual meal. As jerky along with the water that she had made due with when she actually had eaten wouldn't of amounted to much.
"That's fine, it's probably better than jerky!"
The renamon certainly enjoyed the left over turky, the raw vegetables and K wasn't really picky about what there was to drink. Honestly she was just happy to have some food in her belly. She'd stretch after the meal of course shooting the mikemon a small smile.
"I'd say so, it definitely agrees with me to have a full stomach.. Mm... I'm surprised you had that much in what amounts to a break fridge."
There was a soft chuckle and she'd sigh, running a hand along her muzzle quietly.
"Mm... back to the couch I suppose? Unless you have a better idea of course."
The renamon wasn't too partial to the idea of going out right at this moment. Considering how late it was and how she had been feeling earlier; what she had been dealing with and what she would probably be feeling like in the morning once that set in properly...

Honestly, the Mikemon could have just rested like that all night: just a slow, occasional banter with the Renamon while he purred, the Renamon's claws running past the back of his head. His ear gave a small twitch at K's thought of the keys, the feline simply returning a shrug:
"Its probably simpler than that. You've been focusing on them, primarily, for over a month now. Inside your data, they have meaning, so they exist. It's just a touch more abstract than one would really think." Even while saying that, the feline did seem a bit reluctant to sit back up... but it wasn't as if they were going far.
One meal later, with both Digimon having had their fill, the cat returned a chuckle to K's comment. "Well, I live here too, so its usually a bit better stocked than it ought to be. Sometimes what's upstairs has to spill into the downstairs fridge... well, its not as if the patients see that, anyway." Returning her chuckle, he simply gave a nod to her question about going back to the couch.
It was too late, and really, there was probably a bit too much on her mind to focus on any of the sights. As they would head back on upstairs, though, as K took a seat on the couch, the Mikemon jumped right up on the chair leg, before walking on all fours across the back of the couch. Behind a maybe-curious Renamon, Mikemon would reach over, resting his bare paws against her shoulders, giving a gentle-but-firm grip.
A shoulder rub - why not? He was cautious not to work over any scars near the neck, of course. "Heh. Could get used to this." He chuckled, a slight tinge pouring through his white cheek.

"That's just so strange honestly..."
The renamon shifted slightly and rubbed her muzzle; she didn't really know how the inner workings of data or mind really.. well. Worked. It was kind of not a surprise though; she had spent most of her time learning how to do and understand simpler things. Less abstract concepts and the ilk.
"Maybe a bit of research is needed on my part... better to understand the things I don't."
The renamon stretched and gave the Mikemon a small smile and tilted her head slightly. So the mikemon did indeed live in the same building that his office was? That certainly would cut down on living costs wouldn't it? But wouldn't that also lead into problems if other things came up?
"Fair enough I suppose, I'd be a liar if I said the inn didn't do the same thing!"
The renamon gave the mikemon a grin and of course once she was seated on the couch. She'd stretch and let out a rolling yawn. There was a small sound of surprise however when the mikemon touched her shoulders. She simply wasn't expecting it.
She would welcome the idea of a shoulder rub; well much more than welcome it. She'd lean into it and shudder as the mikemon worked on her shoulders. Some muscles twitched and some were bound to get a reaction from her neck which made her inhale sharply. Though of course there was quite a bit of stress built up, so that certainly out did the pain from those particular 'muscles' being worked.
"MMph... Get used to.. What? Giving me shoulder rubs? Or me just being here...? Or something else hah...?"

Well, if problems did come up, wouldn't the cat be in the best place to deal with them? Hearing K's reasoning with the inn, the feline just returned a nod to the Renamon, before both would head on upstairs. K's yawn left her distracted just long enough for the feline to settle his paws on the fox's shoulders.
From there, the cat would press those fingers right into those stressed, locked-up muscles, easing them to relax under his careful grip. The Renamon's question hit the air, the cat returning a smile as he pressed into that massage. "Mm, if you want to get used to this, you certainly can. After so long in the woods, its gotta feel nice to loosen up a bit." But that was hardly the point: letting those hands slip further down her back, Mikemon gave a blush.
"But I can get used to it. You being here, your voice and reasoning, the little frozen look in your eye whenever I do anything even slightly flirty." He poked a little fun at her there, as he leaned in, giving a slight whisper into her ear. Well, he could get used to that, too: pulling away with a blush, he would give the fox one gentle stroke down her back, nails gently digging into the fur.

What was she really expecting when they came back up here? They hadn't seen one another for a while and of course she couldn't blame him for wanting to do something along these lines. Though as unexpected as it was she couldn't lie about the fact that she was enjoying the attention.
The renamon grunted softly as she could feel those fingers press right into her stressed rather locked up muscles. She had been sitting in one position for a long time anyways so even if she had never gotten one of these the mikemon would likely find that the stress she carried was deep.
"I think I might just.. feh... Have to..."
The renamon grunted and shifted forward; her face alight with a blush of it's own as she could feel the muscles loosen up a bit. The renamon's ear flicked and she felt her face redden a little bit more at his teasing voice. She'd huff a little bit and turn her head to look at him. At his whisper she'd feel her face turn a deeper shade of red.
"Well hopefully you can get used to it.. can you really blame me? I'm.. not used to people doing that sort of thing.."
The renamon let out a soft sigh and dipped her head in a nod. Leaning to give the cat a little scratch on his ear and a kiss on his cheek before giving him a little grin.
"You're going to have to get used to me not knowing what to do with you too..."

K was enjoying the attention, and Mikemon was enjoying giving said attention. A perpetual blush on his cheek at this point, he let those paws slip further down. Feeling her lean forward with a shift, the feline offered a suggestion: "Hm, you're so tense as it is. Just lay down on the couch, I'll work all that out."
Presuming the Renamon went along with it, the cat would move from the top of the couch to kneeling next to her, meticulously moving right along her back. With the blush shared between them, and the fox's back slowly relaxing itself from months of sitting in the same position, the cat would return her grin. "Then those people are missing out." Chuckling at his own joke, the cat pressed on - that small peck on the cheek and scratch on the ear was returned, Mikemon gently scratching behind K's own ear, his lips locking with her's for a few moments.
Shortly after, he'd pull back, continuing on with that massage. "Heh. Thinkin' I'm quite the handful?" With a grin, he carried on. "Let me just wrap up here. Walking through the city's going to feel so much more relaxing once all this tension is out."

K couldn't help but grunt as she felt those paws slip further down her body; much lower than what she was expecting but at the same time what was she expecting honestly? She didn't mind the touch of the cat to say the least; it was welcoming to have the cat's touch upon her body in such a stress relieving sort of way. Even if it was in a different way she wouldn't really of argued. At his request she'd dip her head and lay on the couch.
"All right, can you really say you're surprised?"
There was a soft chuckle and the renamon would groan as she could feel his paws work along her back. Her ear would flick and with each knot that was worked out she felt her body relax further and further. His comment about how those people were missing out only brought a deeper flush to her face. She of course would go to respond but found herself receiving a scratch on the ear and a kiss on her lips. Her eyebrows shot up for maybe a split second before she'd gingerly place her hand on his shoulder.
She seemed a little exasperated however when he pulled back. Her face tinted with a deeper shade of blush as was no doubt expected. She was basically beet red at this point. With a huff she'd nod her head.
"You.. certainly know how to be one that much is for certain, but at this point that's not a bad thing..."
There was a small chuckle and a matching grin followed by what of course would be a curious look from her. She'd snicker and dip her head in a nod at his statement.
"Mm.. Can't wait for that actually... It'll be nice, though am I going to carry you this time too?"
The renamon stuck out her tongue and gave the doctor a small but somewhat cheerful wink. He could be teasing so why couldn't she?
