K rubbed her muzzle and flicked her ear; so the D-reapers had nests of some kind? She couldn't imagine what sort of monstrosities that were kept there; in fact she could barely understand them past what she had been informed of. The little bit of information she was given here and there; along with this report.
"Some kind of fall out maybe? from the Destruction of the core?"
The renamon furrowed her brow and shifted slightly; she didn't like the implication of the Dark area becoming a huge nest for the D-reapers and spreading it's problems over the borders. But what could you do other than clean up there? What could you do other than stomp out the infection as it cropped up?
She'd flick her ear and feel her eyes widen a bit however when he spoke of Moeru and 'his Deputymon'.
"Even humans can be affected by the D-reaper stuff? How potent could it be for them? Their data can't be that close to that of a digimon's right?"
She looked somewhat uncertan and a tad shocked to hear that the Dark Area Rep also got caught up in the D-reaper incident. She'd flinch visibly when the claws dug into the desk and the mikemon spoke a name out through his teeth. Almost immediately her scar on her neck flared up painfully and she'd bring a hand slowly to it rubbing the area softly with a wince.
"....What... happened to him? He was.. 'fine' the last time I saw him."

Fall-out from the Core Destruction? "Not a bad guess, but no. Apparently some sort of artifact finally gave way that was limiting how the D-Reaper could appear in the area. The appearance of the 'Core' was just the first big surge that burst through when the 'gates' opened up." K might have remembered what Iko had said earlier - that the D-Reaper was a constant presence. Though Mikemon was still looking through the data, it seemed at least part of what the wolf had 'guessed' had come to pass.
Regardless, that was hardly the issue at the moment. "Hm." He nodded, flipping through the file: "Humans can definitely be affected. It generally hits them the same way as Digimon - more aggressive tendencies and a restless attitude about them. Unfortunately, we don't know nearly enough about the differences - now that its gotten this bad, anyway."
But even that thought passed by the wayside - K's question broke the silence in the room, Mikemon's ear twitching as his claws dug into the desk. Dang it... did he really have to say it? He could feel his heart sink down, a chill radiating through his bones. Setting the file down, the cat pulled himself away from the desk, sitting down, next to K, in the more comfortable 'couch' in the room.
"... He died." The words were dry, the feline shaking his head: "Overtaken by the D-Reaper, he fought near the Core - and apparently, fought a Ravemon to the death. Both were deleted in their struggle." Mikemon sighed, shaking his head, before wrapping his hands around his sides, crossing his arms as he did so. "We've barely agreed on anything. We always got on each-other's nerves - but he was still the kindest, most determined practitioner I've known. To... hear this?"
He shook his head - it was as if the foundation of his very world just took a hit. "... Why does this one hurt so much."

K scratched her muzzle and found herself frowning before leaning back in her chair. She didn't know too much about the D-reaper threat in it's entirity; it was a frustarting beast to try to fight that's for sure. But if the 'Core' burst through when the 'gates' opened up did that mean that there were more...
"How many more sites are there that are like that Mikemon? With an artifact that's supposed to be limiting how D-reaper stuff could appear?"
She frowned just a little bit and leaned forward; furrowing her brow just a little bit. The fact that humans could be affected also meant that some of her friends potentially could be in danger. She would have to warn them when she had the chance to.
"Sounds like there's more research to be done on the differences between mon's and humans then. Along with what D-reaper affects on a physical level. If we know what it does on a mental level already; or at least a little bit that's a clue on it's own right? Because there's strings of code in Digimon that would affect those things and I'm pretty sure the same could be said about humans."
The renamon rubbed her neck awkwardly staring quietly at the Mikemon as he sat down next to her. Her eyes would widen a bit however when he spoke to her. Saying that the D-reaper overtook him and that he had fought near the core. Which had ultimately had led to his death. The renamon exhaled slowly and then gently put an arm around the mikemon looking to give him a squeeze.
"Because losing a good friend, regardless of how you spoke to one another or what you thought about things affects you the same no matter what."
She'd sigh gently and gave the Mikemon an affectionate pat on the head.
"There is a positive in this though; if he got Deleted that means he has to pop up somewhere again right? His data would reform and he'd be 'back' in a way. That's what happens when digimon normally get digitized and not loaded."

"Let's see... aside from the one in the Dark Area, there's three other sites." Scanning through those notes, the Mikemon more-or-less quoted them as he read through: "Apparently they are statues that resemble the Sovereign. The Phoenix was the one that broke in the Dark Area. The Lion is in the frozen north, the Turtle is in the forest, and the Dragon is in the desert. Specific locations, unfortunately, have been lost with time - though locating them is a top priority." That was obvious enough, right?
And of course, more work needed to be done understanding the D-Reaper's effects on humans. "Between Moeru and one other patient that I know of, I should be able to understand the basics of it. Thankfully, both of them still seem to be 'themselves' if not directly controlled by a nest." Those sorts of subjects would be important in the months going forward...
... But right now? With Mikemon simply trying to collect himself, he was wondering the point of it all - his own heart quaking for one that he never even realized was a dear friend. K's words finally drove it home in his heart, that careful hand resting on his stunned shoulder. Her words were filled with hope... but the Mikemon sighed, shaking his head.
"His data exists - but its honestly extremely rare for Digimon to come back exactly as they were. Around thirty percent of the time, they will have a memory of the past life - but most aren't mired in their past. Otherwise, we'd all be suffering from past betrayal. If this world has any mercy at all, then..."
"He's gone." Those final words came with the cat biting his lips. He collapsed his head against K's side, breath uneven as he tried to calm himself. Realizing just what the Renamon had gone through a moment later, his arms wrapped around her side: "You're safe... you're safe..." His words were barely a whisper, the cat clearly a bit out of it at this point.

K rubbed her muzzle and leaned back on the couch sighing gently as Mikemon continued. Statues that resembled the Sovereign themselves? That meant that the others might be failing too if this one went out. If they knew where the others were generally meant that they could send individuals out to scout for them which would mean there would be people trying to find them before the worst happened.
"Finding these locations are Top priority... easier said than done. Hope they have their faces planted in some books or old code."
The renamon shook her head and turned to look at the mikemon as he spoke about Moeru and the other patient. So those affected by the D-reapers wouldn't act hostile if not controlled by a nest? So it'd likely be a good idea to keep them as far as possible away from the 'front' as it was. But she figured that others would have that idea and hopefully wouldn't throw them forward.
"Lets just hope they'll be okay in time."
K wriggled her ears slightly and gently leaned to try to comfort the Mikemon some more as he seemed to be in a bad way with the news about guru. She couldn't blame him for taking it like this; nor could she really blame him for the stuff that was likely going to happen later. She'd lower her ears just a little bit as he talked about how his data existed and that it was rare for them to come back as they were. She'd close her eyes a little bit and sigh gently. She had enjoyed the small bit of company that the reppamon had given her; the guidance that he had given her. She just wished that she hadn't fallen; that she would of been the one to take care of him and perhaps drive him back brining him somewhere where he could be treated later. But that wasn't how things were... She had to agree that if the world had any mercy that he would be gone; but the digital world seldom had any sort of mercy. She wasn't about to say that though.
Her ears flicked and she found the cat collapsing against her side. She'd gingerly wrap an arm around him and give him a soft squeeze. She could feel his arms around her side making her let out another breath as he seemed to be somewhat out of it. It likely hadn't occured to him that she had gone through a bad time; or rather it hadn't clicked properly.
"That's right. I am safe."
The renamon leaned and gave the mikemon a proper hug gently patting his back as really all the cat needed right now was reassurance. She didn't really know what to say about all of this; she didn't know how to address the fact his good friend was gone. She had definitely gotten over the fact that he had been the one to slay her or at least had worked through the rough patch at the very least but... They weren't as good friends as the mikemon and he was. The reppamon would be sorely missed that much would be sure. So all she could do right now was sit there, hugging the mikemon with a soft look in her eyes and a gentle pat of the head here or there...

"Fortunately, that's one thing the Council isn't dragging their ass on. They've already sent out an expedition team to the north, with a prototype locator to try and locate the lion." That alone was fine - and at the very least, the higher-ups now seemed to have a handle on what was going on.
It was less than he would have liked to know, but a solid enough start to consider a response. It was good that the Mikemon got it out there, because once he had his eyes set on the damage report, the doctor's thoughts were miles away from examining the issue further.
No, he simply collapsed his head against the Renamon's side, tears starting to stream from his eyes. The loss of Guru had reminded him just how close he had come to losing the fox as well - and honestly, Mikemon wasn't sure if he could have recovered from that. The pain of losing Guru alone - a Digimon much closer to the doctor's heart than he would have likely realized before - struck deep in his heart. He needed a few minutes, and thankfully, K was there to provide just that: returning her hug with his own, the cat remained in silence, occasionally choking back a cry as his hands firmly gripped around the Renamon's back.
It took about five minutes for the cat to fully calm himself: slowly settling down, he'd pull himself back, looking up to the soft eyes of the Renamon, the cat returning a calm breath of his own. His tone was still somber, but he was able to talk clearly:
"... Thank you, K. Honestly," the cat turned, sitting properly on the couch, "I think its just the straw that broke open the dam. So much has happened regarding the D-Reaper, regarding you, that it just built up to this."
He gave a sigh, letting the next few moments slip on in silence.
"But I'm glad to know I have someone to lean on. Someone I can truly spill my heart out to."

"Well hopefully they're successful. I don't want to think about the price of failing to find the darned thing..."
The renamon shook her head a little bit; she was clearly worried about the state of her homeland. It was a nice place to grow up in her opinion and probably was why she developed as she did before starting up the inn.
She knew how it felt to have something slam your face with an overwhelming truth. Honestly all she could do was sit there and gently pet the cat as he had to cope with the fact that he had nearly lost quite a bit. She would admit she was sad to hear that Guru was dead; but there was a blessing in there somewhere. She knew he was trying to work past the fact he had almost lost her too; it likely wouldn't of clicked for a while and had she been really killed by the beast there wouldn't of likely been anyone to tell that she had been there in the first place probably...
All throughout the five minutes she'd gently continue to pat, pet and gently cradle the mikemon in her arms. She wished she could say more or do more but sometimes silence and some hugs went a long way. Upon getting thanked she'd give him a small smile and gently rub the top of the mikemon's head.
"No worries Dear. Sometimes it's good to just let it all out. It's quite a lot to take in at once honestly..."
The renamon rubbed her muzzle softly and tilted her head at that sigh. The lapsing into silence only made her shift a little bit. She wasn't unused to it at this point and would continue to wait patiently for the Doctor to speak. She wasn't about to push him or rush him; he needed a little time too after all.
"Well I'm glad I can do that for you; really am. Even though I can't do much else the least I can do is be a shoulder to lean on."
She'd chuckle softly and sigh glancing back at the desk with a slight frown. The report had certainly been damning hadn't it? She didn't know what they could do against something like this in reality...
A whole squad... What were they doing there in the first place though? How potent is that initial burst?

Sometimes it was good to let it all out - and right now, the Mikemon was feeling calm. He didn't feel 'good' or 'happy' of course, but he felt more relaxed, more able to calmly talk to the Renamon sitting a few feet away. Of course, he simply gave a nod to that first comment, letting the seconds pass in silence.
To her second, though, he managed a small laugh of his own. "You've done way more than that for me, K. Right now, you and your shoulder are the most valuable things to me in the world." He blushed, realizing he 'flubbed' that comment a bit, but it remained no less true in his heart. Seeing K take a look at the report, Mikemon let out a sigh: "Unfortunately, its not going to change no matter how we look at it. The council's already pursued a course of action, and there's little I can do to change it - not that I'd want to in the first place. It... it is what it is."
He settled on that, but he didn't even sound entirely certain of his own words. What he was sure about, though, was the next thing he said:
"You can take a look through the report if you'd like. Otherwise... I think I'll just hit a bit of paperwork, then call it an early day. I have a few things to figure out, of course."

It was pretty simple; she would be there for him. To help him through his rough times as he had done for her; she'd do it without pause or without question. She enjoyed the fact that they could rely on one another and it went to show that they cared for one another very deeply. She knew at the deepest point of her data that she wanted to help him; try to do something for him to get it so he felt better or perhaps just get his mind off this...
Twisted and vile thought
His gentle words of how she had done way more for him than what she said made her heart ache. She'd gingerly squeeze him; knowing what he meant and giving a small chuckle to the 'flub' that had transpired. She'd exhale slowly and nod her head a few times when he stated what the council is going to pursue as well as how they'd be unable to change it... Well. It would be nice to have some sort of lead even if it was small.
"Changing it would take time; and if they've already sunk their own resources into it it'd be harder to change their mind."
The renamon rubbed her muzzle quietly and raised her brows slightly before turning her head back to the report. She could take a look at it? She briefly frowned; considering the possibility of information that might of been missed or... K would dip her head in a nod before gently squeezing the mikemon before slowly standing up. She wanted to look; see for her own eyes what they had learned.
"I think it'd be better if you skipped out on the paperwork for now dear. Sure it'll create a little bit of a backlog but it'll be better if you can clear your head somehow. Why not get a breath of fresh air while I take a look at this?"
She'd give him a small smile before heading over to where the report was, quickly picking up the paper to give it a look...

Skip the paperwork? Honestly, that sounded like a lovely idea, Mikemon giving a nod back to the Renamon. "You're right - I've dove too far into this already to think about anything else. I'm just going to take a walk down the beach then, probably to just the pier and back." He chuckled, giving a nudge to her side with an elbow: "Maybe pick up a couple frozen drinks or something."
With the promise of a break and sweet refreshments, Mikemon gave a small peck to K's cheek, and moved to head out of the office, leaving K alone with the file. With anyone else he would have locked it up - but heck, he offered her a look, and trusted her not to take or tell anyone else about its contents. What the Renamon would find were the very events that the cat had glossed over, in a great amount of detail:
A Mervamon and a Cutemon's struggle against Moeru, a Justimon, and a D-Reaper entity known as a Paratice Head.
Kajunemon's duel with the captain, TigerVespamon, and the evidence of a flash drive still being decoded.
A spirit totem, infected by the D-Reaper, taking over the frame of a VenomMyotismon, and its impactful death against Arniomon, a Super Mega beyond compare.
A Shutmon's struggle against a Reppamon, and the resulting deaths of both the Shutmon and a WereGarurumon.
And the assault on the core, led by Wizardmon and assisted by twin birds and another spirit wielder.
The records of the events were incomplete, and apparently collected using one of Wizardmon's techniques, 'Scry of the Land'. Each event held comments from various council members. One took them at face value and described their direct consequences, one speculated how this outlined the D-Reaper's own ability, and one acted as almost a fearmonger, speculating how this might lead to the end of times.
Amidst all the uncertainty, the one main agreement was the statues themselves: hidden elements of the sovereign that kept the D-Reaper down to a level where it kept to its normal function of 'curing corruption'. However, even that definition was challenged:
If the D-Reaper, unleashed, almost immediately did something like that?
What did that mean for the state of the world in general?

K gave a small smile to the mikemon as he agreed that he should skip the paperwork along with going for a good walk down the beach even if it was just to the pier and back. She'd grin wide at the jest that he'd pick up a few frozen drinks; she'd gently rub the top of his head leaning ever so slightly when he gave her a peck to the cheek before humming softly.
"That sounds good to me~ Take your time all right?"
The renamon watched the cat go before taking a seat to take a look at the document. She didn't know a mervamon or a cutemon off the top of her head; they were unknown to her. Moeru was the tamer with that Deputymon.. a justimon and some D-reaper entity called a Paratice Head. She found herself frowning slightly and kept on going.
Her brows furrowed a little bit as the Kajunemon was brought to light along with a duel against TigerVespamon. Then there was the flash drive they were still decoding? She hoped that these individuals were okay; she just plainly hoped that they didn't suffer too much if they didn't.
A spirit totem that got infected by the D-reaper? They could do that? She felt herself sag just a little bit before furrowing her brow further as another digimon she didn't recognize was mentioned. A super mega digimon called Arniomon? She'd have to look into that one; if it was beyond compare maybe it could give her a few tips about fighting the D-reapers or dealing with the Rings... or even these corrupted orb she had been told about by carlos and dio.
A Shutmon's struggle against a Reppamon, and the resulting deaths of both the Shutmon and a WereGarurumon.
She read it once.
A Shutmon's struggle against a Reppamon.
She felt her breath dip as she struggled to read it a second time; she felt her jaw slightly drop and her heart catch in her chest.
and resulting in the deaths of both the shutmon and a WereGarurumon.
The renamon placed the paper on the desk staring at it for a long few minutes. She brought her hand up to her muzzle and dragged her fingers; claws and all along it. The stinging pain of them digging into her didn't do her any favors. She read that line over and over again only ending up letting out a small gagging cough before she'd exscuse herself to the bathroom as she felt her stomach turn over time and time again.
F-father...
The renamon sat against the wall looking at her hand shakily. She remembered distinctly the cold night that Sebastian, once known as J along with her mother whom she took her name from had found her lost. Freezing and worn out from the harshness of the Northern reaches. They had carefully brought her to their home and cared for her, making it so that she would not only survive that night but many more to come.
The renamon dragged herself from the wall with a snarl placing a hand on her stomach as it desired to turn again. She'd grunt and force herself to keep it cool before washing both her hands... and her face. She looked like a mess still didn't she?
The renamon shook her head a few times and went back to the paper. Those pair of lines staring back at her accusingly.
"You did everything you could. Sometimes life is rough; sometimes it doesn't allow you to live as you should. He has a chance of being back just like Guru.
The cold gentle reminder from a being deeper within herself helped K calm herself down; she smoothed her fur down and ran her fingers along her muzzle wincing a bit as she could feel the sting from her self inflicted scratches.
She'd move on to the next line frowning slightly.
So there were cores? A place where the D-reaper would be the strongest.. A place where she would one day no doubt fight against or in. She just distinctly hoped that she would never be fighting for the D-reaper as it was. The renamon sighed a little bit and tapped her fingers on the desk.
So was it a failure or a success overall? Did her failure amount to too much? Did it not matter? Did either of their deaths count for anything? The renamon placed a hard hand on the papers snarling in anger at the 'fearmongering'. There was no point in being afraid like this; not when you could act not when you had things you could do. If they had information, speculation and could do something about this... Maybe she should approach this council. Ask to help against the D-reaper threat as a whole; she had allies she could rely on to agree to help her. She had students, she had friends, she had... Well she couldn't ask mikemon to come with her. She loved him too dearly to ask that of him; she couldn't risk or bear the thought of losing him.
The question it posed along with the status of the statues; what they did and what they represented made K pause for a few moments. She furrowed her brow further and further until she picked up the paper.
Hidden elements of the Sovereign.
She toyed with the idea for a few moments before sitting down; frowning still for a few moments. At first it seemed like a foolish idea; something that she shouldn't even consider. But...
If they had hidden elements that meant that you could feasibly find out that element and...
That meant that you could figure out how the Sovereigns worked, and that strength could allow you to fight the D-reaper and protect the digital world. It was a stupid idea; something she shouldn't consider. Something she shouldn't go after; but she...
Was she really considering this?

"Of course - and while I'm out, help yourself to what you need. My place is your place!"
Mikemon gave a smile, taking his leave from the office for the moment, to try and take a walk to relax his mind... right, like that would happen. Though the feline had poured out his heart to K in regards to Guru, there was oh-so-much more than that. Slipping through the crowd, and thankfully finding a clear-enough sidewalk to take to the beach, the feline gave a sigh.
Sebastian. He played one of the best hands of Poker I've ever know. He grit his teeth, shaking his head, Myotismon. Not the most stellar Council Member, but he managed to get along enough with the angels that they didn't want to replace him after one week. Getting a new Dark Area representative is going to be tricky, especially with how unwilling Mummymon is.
Stepping his feet onto the sand, the cat cast his gaze over the ocean, letting that breeze run through his fur. Guru. Selfless beyond his means, and a beacon of light in the last incident... heck, even 'Captain'. All four of them were great souls, and now...
He sighed, turning and walking down along the coastline. In the opposite direction, a playful Lunamon pulled her tamer along, pointing to an ice-cream stand out by the city. The cat looked over his shoulder with a small chuckle, and pressed onwards. Heh... never thought I'd see this day. But I'm old - and I'm starting to outlive those important to me. That thought in itself was depressing, the cat clutching his hand against his chest. He had lived most of his life safe in Whitewater, having seen it develop over the years from a small coastal town to a sprawling city.
He was content and safe for the longest time - but was this safety really the way to live? His thoughts carried him to the pier, the sand turning to a fine wood underneath his feet, as he came up to that stand, a lively Frigimon standing in the well-cooled booth. A few words, and soon the cat was holding two frozen drinks - one green, and one red - making his way back to the office.
A man of medicine... am I really content just trying to change the world like that? Just like that? Or is it all going to fall like sand past my paws. Ugh... so much for clearing his head. But at the very least, he managed to occupy his thoughts with something that challenged himself - something he would have to figure out over the next few days.
It would be some minutes later, that the door in front of the clinic would open, that familiar ring audible to the Renamon. "Hey, I'm back." What had it been - ten, twenty minutes? Making his way back to the office, the cat found K still looking over the file - an intense, focused look in her eyes.
"... So, um..." Right, this was a bit awkward. Despite her current tone, the cat flatly asked: "Red or green?"

The renamon ran careful fingers through her fur and gave the mikemon one last smile before he left. Properly collapsing into the events as they unfolded; her realization running thick through her as she understood the sheer magnitude that was before her. She ran it over; thought it over, kept it close to her and considered it for a good span of time.
She sat there, running over the paperwork again and again. Finding her mind resting in the same place thanks to how the paperwork ended; how it pushed that thought forward. She even felt the being that was her agree softly. Perhaps not as furiously as she desire this power; not for her own gain.
Nothing seemed to be from her own gain except for that prison raid. Everything that she had ever gotten had been because of trying to protect, save or fight for others. Or were inspired by the memories of fighting for others. Her leomon form was brought to fight for others; she saved a girl not even a moment after her digivolution. Her shutmon form was perfect for this sort of thing; it brought such strength and balance... It even had attracted the eyes of AEGIS. Maybe not in the way she thought; but her strength and demeanor had been enough for them to extend a proper offer to her.
Sangloupmon; as twisted as the form had started had always seemed to be for herself. But she knew that it could do great things for the people she loved.
Cresgarurumon had been out of anger for losing her people. Losing the place she served them and she could still feel deep down the fits of rage that she had from them. Knowing that ultimately they would be avenged for something like this. Maybe not right now, maybe not later. But she liked to think about eventuals.
MetalGarurumon-x. It had come to her out of sheer need on her own to protect herself from that Dokugumon and the realization that she wanted to protect others in not just this world but the human one as well.
Jesmon was triggered by her memories, her desires. Her earnest want to do some good in this world. It was a form purely for others and without them she wouldn't have anything.
Examon; the massive dragon was formed out of a distinct need to protect herself from someone. Or at least the form had thought that she needed protecting but if she hadn't done that the person who had 'sparked' it would of just ended up hurt even more. It's wide sweeping moves and graceful form in her mind was something that could do some serious good.
Then came the form she really didn't know how to address; what she would do with it. Who it really meant to her and what it really meant to her. She ran her fingers and felt a sense of pride well up in her chest. She knew that even though he was gone, even though she was gone. Both of her parents would be proud of what she had done. What that little digimon had become.
She looked down at the papers one last time gently tracing over the entry that meant the most to her personally. She stared hard at that Reppamon and WereGarurumon. She had gotten over the fact she had died, she hadn't known people would be watching. She had hoped that Sebastian had gotten away and that her sacrifice hadn't been in vain but life wasn't so nice about this sort of thing.
Her ears flicked forward as that familiar ring and then a familiar voice spoke. She'd look up; that intense focused look not swaying for a moment. She'd tilt her head a little bit and gave him a small smile.
"I'll try the red."
She sat there thinking about how she would address this. How she came to this decision and how she'd go about this. How hard it'd be; how pressed she'd be and with a heavy sigh she'd run a hand through her fur before standing slowly.
"I had hoped that Sebastian had gotten away; but the file says differently... Did you know him at all?"
There was another small distinct pause before the renamon gave him a small but earnest smile.
"I. Figured out something and I know you're either not going to like it or... are going to recommend I shouldn't."

Even at a glance, it was clear that K wasn't exactly in the best of ways after reviewing that file - and her first comment, regarding Sebastian, gave him a good hint as to why. Returning that sigh, handing that cherry-flavored drink to the Renamon, the cat returned a nod.
"Of course - Dark Area residents tend to get to know each-other fairly quickly. Can't say I knew too much about his personal life, but he did play a nice hand of poker." If K was hoping to get a bit more insight about her father from the Mikemon, she would unfortunately hit a wall in that front. Moving back to the desk, the doctor flicked the file shut, tapping it once to level it out before placing it inside a drawer.
His ear twitched - K said it rather plainly. "Something I'm not going to like, huh?" He tilted his head, motioning for K to take a seat on the sofa. The cat would follow, climbing up next to her, giving a simple nod to the fox:
"Alright, lemme hear it." His tone was calm, curious, and a touch concerned.

K rubbed her muzzle softly and gingerly took the drink from the mikemon as he handed it to her. She'd sip it softly and nod her head as the cat spoke; she felt herself frowning just a little bit. Had he ever talked about the north? What he had done there? Who he had lived with? What she would mean to him? What he had meant or been to her? With a soft sigh she'd shake her head slowly.
"Well I'm glad that he was at least able to make some friends and enjoy some poker."
The renamon's expression was dark for a few moments before she'd sigh once more. She hadn't really known him too well near the end, he had gotten more and more distant from her as a whole and it wasn't till recently that she remembered what he had been to her. The cycling of her data without a focal point of a core meant that she was going to remember more and more of those thousand years along with things she wished she could of forgotten.
She'd take a seat on the couch with a soft sigh rubbing her muzzle once more and dipping her head in a nod.
"So I was reading over the document and the thing that has me intrigued is this hidden element that they were talking about. If the D-reapers react to it in this fashion and it comes directly from being a sovereign; that would indicate that they're best suited to fight against them or act as sealing agents. But that also means that in comparison the same could be said of the knights right? Maybe not in the same regard but..."
The renamon let out a soft sigh and shook her head again.
"Basically, I thought that well. We find a sovereign, inquire as to what this hidden element is and we go to utilize it in our efforts to keep the D-reaper's themselves restrained in a fashion. If we can get more than just the four Sovereigns with this element, selective people that we can trust not to misuse it? Alternatively finding this element on it's own would actually be easier than seeking out the Sovereigns but..."
The renamon gave the Mikemon a small worried look and ran a hand through her fur.
"It would require someone to be infected so we can see what responds to what. The humans from what I've been able to learn from them have something called an Immune system, so if we're able to give digimon, humans or spirits this 'immunity' from getting them infected and curing it in the same fashion we reasonably could have someone to fight against the D-reapers. But the problem with both of these is one is beyond risky and the other is likely going to be beyond time consuming and it's possible the Sovereigns wouldn't want to share what makes them so.. Special I guess? Besides being basically the gods of the digital world."
There was a quick pause and the renamon tapped her fingers on her leg.
"Additionally, the demonlords themselves might have insight onto this along with the knights and they would no doubt be just as useful as the knights if not more so if approached correctly. Honor, glory and justice is great. It's things to live by, but the desire to survive can often supersede that; which is why approaching one if not multiple of them might also help lead to a proper answer."
