Just like that, there was one Gotsumon left. Ikkakumon turned his attention to the remaining one and shot a Harpoon Torpedo.
"Hey, Tetsu!" Oboro called out. "What's going on here?" He literally had no idea what was happening here, he had just been exploring in the desert and happened upon Gryz and Tetsu. He hadn't seen the two of them since that time in the tundra when their two Digimon partners fused into the mighty Blizzarmon. Around the room, Oboro took notice of another Tamer and her two partners, a strange looking grim reaper Digimon, and that annoying Tsukaimon from the tundra.

Tsukaimon couldn't care less about the arrival of backup, first of all they were humans 2nd of all they had been proven weak in Tsukaimon's opinion. On the battlefield Tsukaimon was satisfied to have successfully dodged the rock attack but had his counter attack was stopped by a hand belonging to a reinforced Gotsumon. Well the point of the attack was defensive so it didn't bother the little fellow too much, after-all he had more tricks up his sleeve.
Now that he was close to the big Gotsumon, he might as well exploit it.
"Purple haze" The tsukaimon calmly said as a black smog passed around Gotsumon's hand like the cloud it was. Tsukaimon used the distraction to give himself some distance before retaliation would be an issue.
That gave Tsukaimon enough time to realize that something foreign was causing the corrupted data to act up though he wasn't sure what.
Tsukaimon attacks Gotsumon C with purple haze Purple Haze: Makes a small cloud of poisonous smoke that deals small damage during the next 2 posts to anyone who inhales it. Tsukaimon uses the cloud as a distraction to gain distance.
Cooldown: Purple Haze (0/2)

Gryz's attack missed. The Adult stage frown in distaste. Luckily he managed to change the trajectory somewhat so it didn't manage to hit the ceiling and brought more stalactites down.
"Oboro!--tte, you're not in this mission?" the boy asked his friend. Somehow he sweatdropped if that's not the case, but talk about very unpredictable element, this friend of him is. He don't really have time to explain so... "Uh, just think it as... uh... data cleanup. This place is corr...curr...uh... unclean! Yeah! I'm backup in this mission!"
Gryz's eyes meanwhile locked at the big Gottsumon in front of them. However, since there are nothing to do, not with that Tsukaimon there, who think that they're incompetent, he just made his usual zen face, move to the front slowly while saying 'excuse me' politely to most of the people there then sat on his delicate, fluffy buttocks. It's because there's that vile fog over there, so he can't attack---not really.
Gryz suddenly opened his mouth and roars mightily. Locking whoever there on place. Did it hit Tsukaimon? Did it hit the Gottsumon? He had no idea. He never considered Tsukaimon an ally for his attack to Tetsu, but the Gottsumon sure is an enemy. They're at general direction anyway, right? =w=
STATUS GRYZMON STR+20%
PASSIVE Raging Grizzly: Increase attack by 20% if the ally is damaged by an attack.
ACTION
Bewear of the Bear:
Gryz roars at the enemy to make them increase their defense by 10% but stuns them on spot for this turn. Cooldown for two turns. Treated as an attack. (Aimed at general direction of the Gottsumon)
COOLDOWN Earth Sentry: one more turn

OOC: Seems fair! I'll make sure to read the attack properly the next time. As interesting as the fight was, it had turned into a Dogpile at this point. Suzuran wasn't interested in adding more overkill to all the attacks that had been aimed at the remaining Gotsumon, and Ayaka seemed to be busy mending her own wounds. Not like she could contribute with even more damage to this, anyway.
That last attack had also injured Suzuran by quite a bit, but Ayaka eventually would take care of that. For now, they would withdraw to the backline and watch the fireworks.
"This is unsightly." Suzuran commented, referring to her appearance. "Had this space been less narrow, I am sure I could've avoided some of these injuries." These battlefields weren't really favorable for her, but at least she was in for an easier time that Ayaka; she saw how comparably weak were her abilities in this corrupted soil. "Will you be fine? This... black particles are seemingly moving on their own. Best to be alert."
Ayaka had also noticed the swirling black data moving almost uncannily. Better to be ready to what it had in store. "Yes. But I would be more worried about you, sister. I am not the one with a gaping wound still on her body. I will take care of that soon."
"Heh. Noted." Ayaka uses Healer on herself. Healer: Ayaka is well-versed in the healing arts. Instead of performing a basic attack, she may instead choose to restore a small amount of health (the equivalent to an unlisted attack) to a friendly target.

It made sense to him that the largest one was who remained, it's strength of course was greater. But the real answer as to if it was related to the corruption? Or was it just simply that way naturally? There was really no way of knowing truly. At least not in a short amount of time. An attack from one of the newcomers followed by a question posed to the other.
Good they know one another, that'll make separation a bit easier if we decided to split up in a fashion.
The next to strike was the Tsukaimon, the spirit user shifted just a bit from their's. He didn't like the look of that attack in the least bit; but was he in any danger of going into it at this point? No. He shook his head just a little bit; this fight was getting messier and messier. Too many people in one fight; and on one target. Would this be how all the fights would boil down if they decided to stick together?
The other member seemed to confirm that they knew of one another if only by calling the other human by their given name. Supposed given name rather; it could be a nickname for all the spirit user knew. He shifted to allow the digimon to move past him; why they decided to sit was beyond him but he wasn't going to exactly question it.
The spirit user snorted again, spun his scythe lazily and took a relaxed pose. The fight didn't really need him at this point did it? Three on one already and any attack that the Spirit user could launch may end up hitting an "ally". Instead the spirit user found himself stooping to pass a hand through the swirling data; curiosity evident on his features.
"Three paths still, now that this fight is likely coming to a close."
Even though it hand't actually ended; the spirit wielder seemed relatively confident that the three would deal with this creature quickly. Seeing as it had already taken a bit of a beating earlier.
"We can cover more ground safer now, with more members. Two, one, Two split?"
The spirit user gestured with his free hand to each "fork". He was down for solving this problem while the fight was going considering everything; he wasn't being overconfident by any means. Just simply being realistic.
"Lest you have a better suggestion, we might as well cast groups when the fight concludes in earnest."

The Harpoon Torpedo tracked its target and slammed hard into Gotsumon. He immediately exploded and shattered into fragments of black glass, which dissolved in the data just like it had with the other two. All that was left was the data on the floor.
Unlike that of regular digimon, the data did not reconstitute into an egg. Ominous perhaps?
Regardless, the corridor remains the same as it did before. There are three paths. Since the stone doors had now opened, you may see what's ahead. There is a larger room in the path forward, and smaller rooms to the sides.
The data below you remains agitated for a little while, then returns to the silky, whispy smoke-like data that it was before. You hear no further sound, other than gusts of wind from the entrance behind you. However, if you listen carefully, you may hear faint rumbling ahead.
(OOC: If you'd like to heal the damage sustained, you don't have to worry about cooldowns now that combat has ceased).

"A mission, huh?" Oboro said, repeating Tetsu's words. "Sounds fun! We'll help you out! Right, Ikkakumon?" Oboro hadn't even been invited to participate in this mission, but the extra help probably wouldn't be turned down. It wasn't like they'd be able to get him to leave, anyway.
"Of course!" Ikkakumon agreed. "It's just nice to be out of the desert sun, after all."
Oboro looked at the creepy reaper Digimon motioning towards the three pathways. "Tetsu, let's take the middle path!" Hopefully Tetsu would agree, as the two would probably work well together compared to the others on the misison. Plus, if the two got in another fight, they could bring out Blizzarmon to take care of things.

Oh pity, his attack missed its (semi intended) target yet again! Gryz turned around, still on his buttock and now facing the plant twins.
"Allow me to assist you if you don't mind, ladies." Gryz put his palm together like a totem bear asking for earth's protection. With both of his paws glowing, he transferred the energy to Suzuran. "There, hopefully enough to heal the injuries," he declared, then looks slightly pleased with his own handywork.
...Then again, the earth is so foul. Gryz who used earth element could feel it... not as clearly as the plant twins perhaps, but should be clear enough.
"Ah? Middle? Oh... well sure," Tetsu was a bit shocked when Oboro suddenly takes lead, but it's not that he mind. He quickly rode Gryz again. He wanted to talk with the other first about this though... Oh well. "Then, we'll take the center path. Is it alright with you all?"

It seemed like the fight had finally come to an end, for a moment Tsukaimon was worried that he would get hit by the Harpoon Torpedo but thankfully it hit the Gotsumon. As the 3 Gotsumon got destroyed, Tsukaimon smirked with glee when they turned into data. That gave Tsukaimon a wicked idea, if he could somehow absorb this unknown type of data and get some kind of tolerance, maybe he could end up controlling it himself?
Tsukaimon could easily see himself as the master of the element earth, it would be a step up from this lowly rookie form. While everyone else were licking their wounds or discussing what exit patch they wanted to take Tsukaimon snook out to the now calm corrupted data from the fallen Gotsumon and attempted to absorb it into himself. How that will work out is anyone's guess.

This was going to be a long trip, wasn't it? Oh, well, at least Suzuran had gotten her wounds healed up by the uncalled ability from a newly arrived Bearmon and Ayaka. Now she was good to go. "Much obliged, mammal." The Kodamon responded to the gesture, her voice curt yet polite. Before long, however, she was already treading towards the path towards the right-side door. "We are taking that path." Both Mana and Ayaka promptly followed the fairy, having to pick their pace a bit to catch up. If anybody else wanted to go with them, they'd probably have to do the same.
The fight itself had a been a bit weird. Those Gotsumon seemingly had been reduced to their most basic instincts, if they were Gotsumon at all. The swirling shadows also were a bit intriguing, even though they calmed up pretty quickly after the fight ended; maybe they reacted to the conflict in some way? Those were answers that at least Ayaka wanted to find out. Maybe, if they understood the source of this corruption, they find a way to remove it in a more effective way, who knows.
For now, they had to confront whatever lurked at the other side of the door.

The last digimon fell apart; ending the fight for the moment. This potentially was a taste of what was to come later on. He found it a bit odd that it didn't shift into an egg; it was probably related to the corruption in some manner. He shook his head and stood up straight. The two new comers seemed to desire the center path; which of course the spirit user didn't have a problem with.
"All right. Just be wary; these likely were not the only digimon here."
Mana and her digimon picked the right path; leaving only the left one unpicked. Giving a soft shrug he'd go towards the left entry; what was really the point of discussing it even further? The only one that didn't seem to say anything was the Tsukaimon; but then again it wasn't exactly the most talkitive. It'd likely pick one group to go with; which one? It didn't really matter.
"I'll take the left path then."
He took a few moments to collect himself before going into the left....

And so the group appeared to split up, ensuring to cover all of their options before proceeding forward.
Center Path
As Oboro, Tetsu and their partners proceeded forward, they would have entered a large room, 20 meters long, 20 wide and 5 meters high. The same red-yellow glowing stones and fungus still grows in this room, in fact it is more dense than it was in the corridor, lighting the room a little brighter.
It is lined with reddish tan sandstone all around, letting no sunlight in. There are no features other than a large statue at the far end. It appears to be a feminine human figure sitting on the floor in a cross-legged position, wearing a long, flowing robe. Her hair is decorated with leaves and flowers, and her eyes appear to be closed in a meditative kind of expression.
Her hands lay flat and open at either side of her, each of them holding a large stone plate of some kind. The left is slightly lower than the right.
The most obvious feature they would see is that there is a large hole where her lower torso would have been. Only in the middle of this hole is a chaotic spiraling mess of data and pixels, making a noise like rushing wind.
If one looks closely, there are words in digicode above her.
Right Path
Mana, Ayaka and Suzuran would have found a small room at the end of the right path. The black data is still present on the floor as always, but, there is something else here too.
The remains of two worn bedrolls could be seen on the floor, as well as two broken clubs - a large one and a small one. The clubs appear to be of crude design, one made of wood studded with nails, and the other made of bone studded with spikes. It appears to be a makeshift campsite of some kind.
If they look carefully, there appears to be something brown poking out from under the smaller bed.
Left Path
As Kan proceeded left, he would have come to another small room. Only this one had a little more in it than the camp room, namely a large stone table and rusted ancient metal antiques. However, all of it seemed to be simply scrap at this point.
There were other doorways in the room, one leading left and one right, but the only thing beyond both was piles of rocks and rubble. It would seem that the further corridors had collapsed at one point.
A scent of long decayed food lingered in the air. Perhaps someone may have had some food in here at an earlier point? Although whatever it was, it was long expired.
On the wall is a shelf bearing an assortment of books. At first glance, most of these are expired and rotten, probably falling apart at the slightest touch. Or would they...?
The Corridor
As Tsukaimon attempted to absorb the data, it did not respond to him. Instead, it simply remained like the eerie black smoke it always was. It appears that this is not the correct way to absorb the data, and that the only way to do so is to attempt so at its core.
OOC: It's interesting that Tsukaimon felt no effect from Gryzmon's attack even if he was in its line of fire...

The center path seem to be less eventful compared to before afterall. Gryz still looks calm in this situation, having yet find any sort of disturbance... at least until they arrived in what looks like an altar. At first Gryz wondered what sort of problem will they find... especially since both of the hand is not aligned. It felt like a scale, but he's against assuming for the meantime. The room is thicker with fungus, almost made Gryz instinctively wary of them... What sort of effect do they have? Or do they have no effect to earth typed Digimon like him?
The large hole is also... very concerning. The sound like wind whirling could be heard... and honestly, he wondered what is it all about. He don't want to assume. While it's tempting to stick his paw inside of that, he also know that this place is too full of corruption to even try...
"Gryz, that...?" Tetsu pointed out above the statue.
"...Ah. Say, Ikkakumon, can you check the plates while I try to read this?"

Oboro was a little bummed that the room didn't seem to have anything exciting or dangerous in it. His interest in these ruins were suddenly super lost.
Meanwhile, Ikkakumon figured he'd have to be the responsible one of the pair, so he did as Gryz asked and took a look at the plates as Oboro's hyperactivity got the better of him. Hopefully, he'd be able to figure something out from them.

He was the sole member to go to the left; which seemed to be an absolute pity because he was quite curious of the further abilities of his party. However he couldn't really show proper interest in the grouping without coming off as creepy. So he had to play it fairly passive; hoping for a glimpse of what they'd be able to do.
For now he concentrated on the room he came to; it was smaller than what he had expected but it was certainly wasn't missing anything in content. He'd carefully inspect the large stone table and the rusted metal; even if they were scraps they could give him insight as to what may of been here before. The scent of decayed food made the spirit wielder wrinkle it's nose in disgust.
Upon noting the books, the spirit wielder frowned quite dramatically; he couldn't take the chance of there being information in them. So of course he'd start to look through them; hoping to gleam something from them; his tail lashing irritably behind him...
