Hunter and the Hunted [Mission]

As the group backed away from the bombs - a fair amount of the D-Reaper's plaque now coating K's cloak, flung outward from the explosion - they may had felt like they had a few moments to breathe. Cassandra had taken the time to collect the samples, Cloak was conversing with the group, and the Shutmon seemed indecisive about something. In fact, only Dio seemed to keep his gaze entirely focused in the direction the Meicoomon had fled.
However, this information was not sacred, not in the slightest. Unseen, hiding in the thick foliage of the forest's canopy, the Meicoomon watched from a distance. Her eyes took on a dark amber hue, glowing light enough to be concealed by the leaves above. And through these eyes, The Hunter kept a lock on the group's movements from a distance. Her tail twitched eagerly, eyeing each and every one of these potential meals.
After all, she had already used D-Reaper's Insight - why show herself unless she had to? The Devidramon seemed too risky, with the direction she was facing - right, right. SkullKnightmon was looking away from the woods as it was.
The tip of her tail brimmed a light red, aimed right for the clearing. A silent hum was held in her throat: time to go fishing!
But then again, all of that might go by the wayside, just the Meicoomon's idle observations from an extreme distance. There were no visible signs from here that she was watching... which would make the end result all the more terrifying. From the edge of the clearing, there would be a sheer red light - a laser - tearing through the thick of the foliage. This was far more than blind-fire - this was a precise, fast beam, aiming to strike the SkullKnightmon dead-center in the back!
Should the attack hit - and should the fractal code appear - that same laser would start to scan that surface data...
Log:
Unchallenged, the Meicoomon observes from a distance, and fires a long-range, fast-moving laser to the currently-conversing SkullKnightmon!
Trait: Eyes of the Searcher, ADR-02 - Within a certain range, Meicoomon can identify living Digimon data signals. This gaze is especially effective when time is given to search.
Technique: Red Ray - A powerful laser is emitted from Meicoomon's tail, firing a narrow beam of light energy against the target. If this is enough to defeat a Digimon or make the fractal code appear, data can be scanned from a distance.

"You're welcome Dio. It was nothing." Cas murmured offering the boy a slim smile as she watched K approach the mass with wary eyes her gaze centered more on the twisted red abomination then anything else as she and her partners calmly observed the Shutmon attempt to deal with the D-reaper mess.
"That is indeed adequate." Cloak rumbled out inclining his head towards K in thanks as he turned towards his Tamer once more to inquire of her orders in regards to the situation at hand. The motion itself likely the only thing that saved his life as the laser flashed out of the foliage. Dagger however, caught sight of the red light the Zubamon eyes widened in horror as he sought to warn his twin.
"Watch ou~" Dagger yelled, but it was already too late as the laser caught the Skullknightmon square in the shoulder and collarbone tearing a hole clean through the champions armor and form.
"CLOAK!!!" Cas screamed voice going ragged with fear and desperation as the Undead Digimon stood frozen for a moment in shock his eyes wide and unseeing as he lifted one shaking speared hand lightly to his shoulder the red of the hilt of his weapon coming away dark with data.
"Hime...?" Cloak spoke in a strangled whisper as he held his Tamer's gaze for a moment before his legs buckled sending the SkullKnightmon crumpling to the ground. The Doctor bodily throwing herself forward as she skid onto her knees heedless of the data that might stain her skin and clothes as she caught her partner clutching him to her as she pressed one hand over the entry wound trying to staunch the bleeding and the other to the exit wound in a mockery of an embrace.
"I've got you. I've got you." Cas chanted softly managing to keep her voice from cracking even as the fractal code appeared around the SkullKnightmon. Even as he buried his face against her neck shaking with shock, a ragged cough tearing it's way from his chest speckling the skin of the her throat with data as the Digimon tried to breath through the pain. Even as Doctor Cross desperate shifted her hand from the exit wound pressing the Skullknightmon as hard against her as she dared hoping to use the pressure of their embrace to temporarily slow the bleeding as she fumbled for her cards with ichor slick fingers.
"Just stay with me. You're going to be just fine. Just stay with me." She murmured fast and desperate as her fingers closed around the Regenerate card as she slid it through her D-arc a soft glow settling over the Digimon as his wounds slowly began to close. Though it was clear from where he lay on his knees half slumped across his Tamer's front his cape spilling across his frame and hers like a pool of blackened blood his back wet with data that the SkullKnightmon was going nowhere fast.
"Cloak?" Dagger managed to gasp out voice cracking in horror as he watched his twin always so indomitable crumble like so many castles upon the sand. Leaving one of his precious people once again in critical condition with him unable to do anything to stop it.
"You..." The Zubaeagermon snarled out voice dark with hatred as he followed the direction the laser had come from. "You did this!" Dagger roared out as Cas's digivice screeched the noise mingling with the golden weapon digimon's cry of fury as his form twisted into light. Light which shattered like a thousand falling stars revealing the furious form of a Duramon as it lashed out slicing it's blades through the air as it launched a glowing X of energy at the Meicoomon seeking to destroy it and anything in his path.

K grumbled a bit and eyed the D-reaper patches on her cloak. If she wasn't careful that could ease closer and closer to her. She should consider once she had the ability to do so to use her breath on the cloak. She'd sigh gently and rubbed her muzzle unsure of what exactly to do next. Chasing it was out of the window for sure. Upon the question carlos posed she'd shake her head.
"If anything that just makes it harder to gauge what it has and what it doesn't. The D-reapers probably have a wide variety of attacks as well as the Meicoomon itself. If this is anything to go by we should be even more careful."
There was a distinct pause and she'd shrug at Dio's question.
"Both seem like a bad choice honestly, but we have a job to do so it'll have to be a careful pursuit if we do that."
She'd sigh and shake her head unsure what to really say about this. She'd however turn her head to Cloak when he told her it was adequate; not even a moment later. The warning was yelled from dagger causing her to jump a little bit.
She'd watch the digimon fall over eyes widening a little bit. She'd trace the trajectory of where it had been fired from growling in irritation as she found herself flipping her blade around a few times. She needed to be close to fight this thing and she had just the tool to sear the meicoomon's... fur..
The shutmon stopped full out and looked down at her primary hand's blade frowning and flexing her desire for the blade to be awash with fire. There was a mere sputter of flames for a moment and she'd frown deeper. When had that happened? Her memory cut back to the interaction she had with mikemon back in the clinic for a moment before gritting her teeth.
Just how many of my moves are changed? Unavailable because of my death?
With a snarl instead she'd flick through her cards in her head for a few moments settling quite firmly on one of them. They were having trouble fighting it in the cover it was provided.
So remove the cover.
The shutmon would sigh softly and flex her primary arm before drawing it back... and punching downwards into the ground. There was a pause before the card would take effect. She'd look up at the area as it was no doubt shifting.
"Pursue it. We wait for no one but the Sovereigns themselves. Forget not your caution."

Even as the demon kept his eyes trained onto the now frozen treeline, he was not quick enough to warn the others when he finally notice the red light coming from within the forest. The attack wasn’t aimed at him however, or even his own tamer, but rather the black knight Cloak, the doctor’s partner. Much to the duo’s shock, the attack pierced right through the SkullKnightmon’s armor with ease, to the Doctor’s grief and dismay. In fact, the sheer pain and anger from seeing the Knight be taken down was enough to get Dagger to evolve, his form growing into a rather pissed off Duramon that wasted no time sending his own retaliating attack in the direction of the laser. “God damn it…” Carlos simply muttered out, biting his lip as he saw Cas getting down to comfort the fallen digimon. Things had just gone from bad to worst in the blink of an eye. Trying his damnest not to think what would have happened if the cat had decided to target him or the Doctor, he turned to face Dio, who still had his eyes locked on the direction the attack had came from. He was far from being unaffected however, as his slightly trembling form showed. He was either afraid, or very, very angry. Probably a bit of both, knowing his past experiences with Meicoomons. Both he and Carlos had gone through a very similar pain the other two were now experiencing, and it was something not even the Dark Lord wished upon anyone else. But it seemed he’d be forced to stay put and keep his rage to himself…until K did away with the tree line in one swift movement. Apparently she also had access to cards despite lacking a Digivice. As if she was reading his mind, she then basically ordered them to charge forward now that the way was clear. “Carlos?” Dio asked, turning for a moment to the human, as if asking for confirmation. “You heard her. Give em hell.” Carlos said, his eyes flaring with cold determination. If they stayed there they would be sitting ducks. They had to take the fight to the Hunter. “Understood.” The demon replied, eyes flashing red for a moment, his tone almost sounding pleased at the answer. Had he not known better, Carlos would almost be sure his partner was…smiling. “I’ll take lead.” And with that, the NeoDevimon dashed forward the plateau, claws dragging against the ground with a scraping sound. As he made his way into the field, his claws would start glowing with power, and a moment later be enveloped by pure purple energy, giving his already long fingers even more range as the large energy nails extended from his finger tips.
Dio happily charges into the fray and activates D-Nail. [RAM Upgrade Giga] D-Nail: Focusing power on either of his clawed hands, Dio summons forth a set of sharp needle like blades of pure, glowing purple energy enveloping his fingers. Having an advanced form now means he’s finally able to wield this power somewhat efficiently, no longer making it elemental. The blade will disappear after either three successful attacks or a block, and can only be used for either attack or defense per activation (it can't used to block after doing one swing). Three posts cooldown. Cooldowns: Red Ray (2/3)

Ah, music to her ears: the exasperated scream. The collapse of a soundless Digimon. The furor of a confused and distraught hunting group. Each of these thoughts brought a grin to the Meicoomon's face, the last remnants of that 'Red Ray' scanning the SkullKnightmon's cloak from a distance. As Cassandra would pull up her Digivice to scan that card, she'd see it quite clearly:
The image of the number '6' replaced with that of a '5'.
And, like clockwork, the twin was running right towards the origin of the blast. The feline simply gave a chuckle, slipping through the canopy to change her position. That's right, split up, run aimlessly, make yourself an easy target. Right now, the cat was split between going after the Shutmon or the Duramon, her eyes darting between both distracted figures. Look, the wolf was even hunched over, leaving herself an easy tar...
...get. "Mroawr?" Suddenly suspended in midair, the Meicoomon - now with a shinai sheathed across her back - quickly fell to the ground, in plain sight of the remaining Digimon. How did all the trees just vanish - bah, not important! Tail standing on edge, the Meicoomon turned and began to sprint away, attempting to move to the new thick treeline - she didn't want to suddenly fight the split-up Digimon three-on-one!
Well, might as well try this out: grasping that handle in her right hand, she kicked off a foot, spinning once to swing at the direction of the approaching NeoDevimon. A harsh arc of blue fire would fling itself outward - more as a deterrent than anything else - before the cat would make a straight sprint right for the treeline!
Log: Cloak has lost the form of 'Kotemon'. 'Rising Sun' has been absorbed and scaled to Meicoomon's level. Meicoomon is left surprised at her sudden visibility, and tries to outrun the three. 'Grasscutter' wildly misses, as it was aimed at Meicoomon's original position. To the approaching NeoDevimon, Meicoomon uses 'Rising Sun' - an arcing blade made of blue flame - attempting to strike the demon across the chest.

Dagger snarled eyes bright with fury as he saw the Meicoomon dare to use his twins weapon. Dare to try to wield Cloak's own attack as his fury bubbled over. His anger echoed in Cassandra's own veins as her vision tinted red at the sight of the glowing five on her Digivice even as she gripped the SkullKnightmon tight. His wounds were closing slowly, death no longer a likelihood, but the fact still remained that the corrupted cat had dared lay a finger on what was hers.
"Dagger." Cas murmured as she drew a card from her deck that she had never had cause to use before. "Rend them to pieces." She ordered as the Duramon heaved the gleaming golden broadsword from his back tossing it high into the air as it shattered into seven gleaming swords.
"With pleasure..." Dagger breathed out voice dark with vicious glee as the blades plummeted seeking to encircle the fleeing cat even as Cas slid her card through her D-arc. Three meteors coming to orbit around the Doctor's partner as he pointed at the Meicoomon with one bladed hand.
"No more running." The Duramon snarled as the blades burned with the light of a thousand suns seeking to incinerate anything within their confines. But it wasn't enough. It was NEVER enough. With a scream of rage Dagger hurled not one, but all three of the meteors at the cat. Fully intent on wiping the Meicoomon off of the face of the digital world permanently.

K watched quietly for a moment as Carlos and Dio responded quickly to her 'order' to go after the meicoomon. It was the only course available for them the moment that the obstacles in their way had been removed. She'd crack her knuckles and slowly walk forward spinning her bladed gauntlet. There was a distinct pause as she looked over the Doctor and Cloak.
She felt the gentle bite of anger still in her mind and let out a soft irreplaceable sigh. Clenching her primary hand once more she'd gaze back to the 'fight' proper as Dio moved to attack the Meicoomon. It's reaction to Dio's attack was natural she supposed; at least as far as you could call natural for this cat after all.
It made sense to her why they were so angry, why they reacted in such a manner to one of the twins being almost outright gimped from the get go. Perhaps they had a hard time dealing with any sort of loss or perhaps it was just they loved their partner far more dearly than most. She'd like to think the latter honestly considering the reaction.
Their anger was right surely, but it could consume them if left unchecked. Hopefully after this K could if the other was still hurt heal them without question. After all many of her forms had healing moves that would likely work well on them.
A few moments passed and she could hear the scream of rage from dagger. It was at that moment that K decided to actually act on her part. Quickly did her form distend, warp reality around her and within her to become something far greater than before. She bulked up somewhat, her shutmon form being a rough eight or so feet while the MetalGarurumon-X was about ten or so. The digimon let out an explosive breath of air from her mechanized maw before turning to face the fight properly. Thankfully her light of digivolution was always the gentle sort unless it was examon or Jesmon so she didn't have to worry about drawing too much attention.
The first thing that she would do would be firing a single missile from her rocket pod on her shoulder at the meicoomon. Afterwards she'd slowly hover off of the ground and begin the process of cycling her vision from 'normal' to 'night vision'. Afterwards she'd have plenty of options as to how to engage this meicoomon...
Battle Log K digivolved to MetalGarurumon-X
Attack: Warp Missile: This digimon is able to fire a single missile that tracks a target, before making the attempt to hit them. If it misses this missile may make a second attempt to strike the target on the following post after adjusting it's trajectory. If the missile misses again, the missile detonates regardless of location and the next missile cannot be fired for two posts.
Passive: Combat Thrusters/Jump Jets: Able to switch between a general travel mode and a combat one this digimon is able to fly both in and out of combat. The travel mode puts away all weapons that this digimon can use in favor of speed while the combat Thrusters halves it's effective speed by 50% but allows full range of movement in the air.
Cyber Senses: This passive allows this digimon to detect in a variety of ways. Night vision, Thermal vision, Electric vision, Sonar, and ultimately blind sense. Each one of these senses must be cycled and are represented separately in an almost HUD like feature that the digimon has.
Cyber Sense Orta: This combat passive allows this digimon to mark targets as damage is dealt to them. This mark lasts for a short time but allows them to basically see the target up until combat is officially over. 3 post duration/ 5 targets.
Note: Let me know if Shooting a missile and cycling the sense is too much in one turn, if so I'll adjust the post if needed!

Unlike the other digimons in the hunting group, Dio remained completely silent, even as he sprinted towards the Meicoomon with evil intent. Not a snarl, not a grunt, not a scream. Merely fast, quick breathing muffled by his mask and only audible to himself. As much as he hated to admit it there was something primal, something inherently fun about chasing a fleeing target. Still, Dio knew better than to believe himself the one in control of the fight. This was still a creature infected by the D-Reaper’s influence. To underestimate it would surely lead to disaster. It was far from a defenseless prey, as evidenced by the flaming attack the Meicoomon threw in his direction. Bringing his glowing claws to the front Dio swiped the flaming blade away, the blue fire crackling loudly as it hit against the dark energy on the demon’s claws, leaving nothing but a few small sparks and embers on its wake. While Dio was far from done with the cat, the knockback of the attack pushed the demon back a bit, keeping the Meicoomon just out of his claws’ reach. Of course, that didn’t necessarily mean he didn’t have any means of attacking left. Sending power to one of his clawed hands once again, small sparks of electric energy pulsed in his palm as he aimed it towards the fleeing feline. “Stop running.”With a flick of his hand, an arc of electricity surged from the demon’s hand, crackling loudly in the cat’s direction. An unwieldy move perhaps, but it was better than risk the cat get away.
Dio blocks Rising Sun with D-Nail, losing D-Nail in the process, and tries to hit the cat with System ShockSystem Shock: Charges up power within his arms, releasing a relatively short ranged (40ft) electrical arc from his hands. Deals heavy damage and lowers the enemy’s defense by 25% for two posts. Three post cooldown

'No more running'. 'Stop running'. The whistling sound of missiles, the clashing of blades, the roar of meteors and the sparking of lightning.
Right, the Meicoomon was not about to take any of their advice, even as her calves started to burn at the rate she was trying to distance herself. A mere glance over her shoulder proved that she couldn't outrun the NeoDevimon, one who had a much larger stride and a convenient wingspan - and the onslaught of attacks roaring from behind put her in quite a bind. Really, she'd have no chance but to dig in her heels and fight - but how could she? Gritting her fangs, she cast her gaze back forward - just in time to see that great-sword 'pop', just above her head!
"MRAOWR!"
Meicoomon wasn't going to be nearly enough - but with that one extra bit of data, a crimson light quickly surrounded the beast. The beast that emerged would be very familiar to K and Dio...
.... With some slight differences, namely a cloak around her back with the same texture and design of (X) Pendulum Feet's. Her amber glare grew in intensity, and the cloak behind gave way, revealing a myriad of small, hooked scythes - at least twenty in number.
With her added agility, the empowered MeiCrackmon bolted forth on one leg, scythes catching and discarding the two swords directly in front of her, escaping the circle just as that blast of energy radiated through her left calf and foot, a deep burn left over the fur. After that bound, the beast dragged its nails against the ground, pivoted, and turned, a slight predatory grin escaping her lips. The electricity crashed over her, a slight twitch in her muscles as she extended her arms out, in a glorified T-Pose:
"RED STROBE!"
From each of her three tails, as well as the small mirror on the back of her gloves, two lasers - similar in construct to 'Red Ray' - erupted from the MeiCrackmon's frame. Those from the arms were the most focused, adjusted and aimed upwards to cause the meteors to detonate prematurely in midair. Another one of her tails was directed for that missile, intent on sinking it straight out of the sky.
That left her remaining two tails - and the NeoDevimon left at practically point-blank range. Grinning, the feline intended to return the favor of 'System Shock' - letting forth all four of those powerful lasers, directed right for the NeoDevimon's frame. Two were aimed high, near the shoulders - two were aimed low, near the hip!
Meicoomon Digivolves to MeiCrackmon. Her grade improves to Mega! The Hunter is wounded by System Shock. MeiCrackmon uses passive - Aspect of Pendulum Feet - to break the encirclement and lower (but not completely dodge) the 'Circle of Swords'. MeiCrackmon uses 'Red Strobe' to destroy the incoming meteors and missile - while also unleashing a close-range assault on the NeoDevimon.

Dio was close. Too close to the Meicoomon as it evolved it's form shifting and crackling into Meicrackmon. It's feline figure some demented splice between Digimon and something other as Dagger screamed out his fury at having lost his kill as it broke his circle of swords. Dodging, if not completely, his flames and neatly destroying the meteors before they could impact. Leaving the Meicrackmon to level it's tails right on the NeoDevimon and Cassandra would be damned if she watched another partner fall to it's lasers. Sliding the shadowform card through her D-arc she concentrated on Dio. The NeoDevimon suddenly finding himself becoming nothing more then darkness and smoke as the blasts pierced harmlessly through his now insubstantial form. Likewise ensuring the Dark Lord was no longer at risk of becoming collateral damage as Duramon's chest glowed as it fired off a massive gleaming beam of blue light directly at Meicrackmon's face. "Hime...help..." Cloak breathed out shifting against his Tamer as he tried to rise. "Help me stand." He begged as the Doctor slung one speared arm over her shoulders digging her feet into the earth as she leveraged them up. Leaving the SkullKnightmon leaning heavily against her side, but on his feet once more despite his closing wounds. Regeneration had healed much of the damage, but the injuries still lazily wept data as Cloak took in the scene of fire and death before them with narrowed gold eyes. Took in his twins rage with a sense of shock and muted love. Love that Dagger could care enough about him to grow so angry "Our chances don't look good do they? It appears to be stealing your forms or at least your attacks and using it to power itself." The Doctor murmured surveying the battlefield alongside her partner. Slowly the SkullKnightmon nodded his head in agreement. "We've dropped below the twenty-five percent success margin, but I know you Hime..." Cloak rumbled out his eyes drifting to the nearby lake where the Orochimon hid. It was certain if the group turned tail to run that the wounded Digimon would be the Hunters next meal. "You will not abandon the weak and injured and thus...we will not abandon you." The SkullKnightmon spoke a finality in his tone even as his form shifted, light pooling off of him as his data screamed at the strain in sync with the Doctor's Digivice. It was time, unintentional or not, that he ceased hiding. Time he returned to his true form. With a sound like breaking glass the light shattered falling around the black figure of the Dark Knightmon which now stood where the SkullKnightmon once had. Kneeling he took his Tamer's face gently in one armored hand as he ran his thumb lightly over the faded blue slash mark of her cheek gold eyes seeming to bore into hers as though memorizing the little woman's appearance. Burning it into his memory before he straightened and turned with a snap of his cape. "Evacuate your patients Doctor and prepare to go. We will either slay this Hunter or die trying." Cloak growled out unhooking his axe from his back as he brought the heavy weapon to bear launching a blade of energy towards the Meicrackmon that seemed to disappear into thin air. Only to appear at the Cat's back aiming to cleave it in two.

K wasn't actually expecting the Meicoomon to stop; she wasn't really sure hwat it would do when face with so much firepower. But when the crimson light took hold of it's form the MetalGarurumon-X gritted it's teeth and slowly shifted so that it was just a little bit more off the ground, maybe a good ten feet at this point. She felt her blood run cold however when the cape finnally clicked with her. She felt raw anger, fear and the scar on her chest in particular started to ache fiercely. The response that the Meicrackmon had to their attacks wasn't something she was expecting either. They all but destroyed every single attack launched at them and it was somewhat frustrating to see her missile blown out of the air. Worst still Dio was in the prime position of getting blasted close range. Were it not for the Doctor using a timely card on Dio he likely would of suffered some extreme damage from such a point blank shot. She'd glance down and back to the pair as they spoke to one another. They were quick to asses the situation weren't they? But why a twenty-five percent success margin? The mechanized wolf shook it's head; unsure of what it should do immediately. If they.. fought for too long this creature would just get more and more powerful it seemed. "Last time I thought about the D-reaper threat I agreed with myself that I'd use my full strength right away. Not grind out foolish and paltry levels of Damage against it in hopes of whittling it away. The Dark Area might look hatefully on me for doing this... But I had already decided that true force was the correct answer for whatever this corruption is."The metalgarurumon let out a mechanized roar of anger and quite possibly the brightest light of digivolution that K had engulfed her immediately. Her form distended and grew again; swelling to a size and form that most if not all individuals here would recognize immediately. Jesmon. She was no knight most certainly but it didn't stop her from guarding those that she was with nor did it stop her from helping the digital world as she saw fit. With a snort she'd start floating forward; a thousand tiny blue energy petal flowing gently outwards from her 'sheathes' on her wrists. Dio and Carlos had never seen her take this form; she had always talked about it to them and gently re-assured herself along with them that this form wasn't a toy... that it would be used when needed. "They tell me to stop pretending; to stop using a name in vain when they don't understand what it means. But who is to say what the name means? Is it the masses? Or the one using it."K started to float forward; once her petals had stopped flowing out from the sheathe's only meant that her actual blades were free and clear to slide out of them. The former most would would circle around her for now while the Jesmon readied itself for no doubt what was going to be an interesting fight. But there was one question bugging her beyond belief. "Hunter. What is the D-reaper to you?" Battle Log: K Has Digivolved to JesmonPassives: Valhalla's Regeneration 'Passive': Each post this Digimon regenerates a medium amount of health. When struck by damage, this healing factor increases to a large amount for three posts and goes on cool down for an equal cool down of whatever move was used on the host. If the move was a once per thread move, a cool down of six posts will be implemented instead.
OathSworn: Any Virus Type deals 30% less damage to this digimon.
RAM UPGRADE Hero's Mantle: While worn this digimon takes less damage than normal. This cloak can be given to other individuals and they are granted the same boon. When removed The host takes damage as normal. For the first post that this cloak is given, the one that is granted this boon cannot be damage in any way but also cannot do anything that would impart damage, status effects or mobility uses. However this effect cannot be given to the host itself as their body is acclimated to the cloak. Attack: Blades of The Faithful, Odin's Flock: This attack summons up what could be considered at the most a thousand or so of tiny blades, represented by petals of a blue hue. Without direction these blades do nothing but circle around their host. It can be considered dangerous to touch them without being the host itself as they are sharp beyond belief. This move itself does not have a cool down, but the blades cannot operate outside of a fifty foot radius. Naturally they cannot fill this whole space and are usually spread out to avoid too much trouble.

Dio couldn’t help but let out a slightly amused chortle as the Meicoomon seemed suddenly bombarded by so many attacks at the same time. Perhaps they had a better chance at winning than they initially thought. That was, at least, until the Hunter changed form, evolving further into… No…not her…not her again… The sheer shock of seeing that dreaded creature again was enough to stop the demon in his tracks for a moment, even his tamer letting out an almost chocked gasp of surprise…and fear. It would have been perhaps a bit too naïve of the duo to expect the creature to not digivolve under such amount of pressure…but the suddenness of it still made it very much surprising, barely any kind of warning before the cat turned the battle around completely. That and feeling the sheer amount of power behind it compared to everyone else right now was, for lack of a better word, staggering. He had faced one with her form again, someone that was actually among the group right now. It had been an awful moment, terrible enough to spark not one but two digivolutions within the Dark Lord. Yet despite this, now that enough time had happened since then both Dio and Carlos thought they’d be ready to face such a thing again. They were wrong, and that much was painfully clear as both demon and man felt pure panic as the Meicrackmon effortlessly took care of every attacked thrown its way, before turning to face her nearest target: Dio. Even if he hadn’t been partially frozen by fear, he would be unable to dodge such a point blank range attack. He had gotten careless, and was now going to suffer because of it. The NeoDevimon readied himself for the blow, expecting a feeling of searing pain, of his flesh being burned and cut, of having his data absorbed by another feral monstrosity once again…yet much to his surprise, he felt nothing of the sort as the burning beams passed through him harmlessly, as if he were made out of nothing but smoke. Which on closer inspection seemed to be the case, as it seemed someone from the group had used one of those cards on him, making him completely intangible. As if to take even more heat off him, it seemed the cat was not the only one growing in power, as one of Cas’ own partners and K had risen yet another level. So that’s how the fabled Jesmon looked. Admittedly, it was certainly a very awe striking image, but the duo didn’t have enough time now to gush over it. At least this would hopefully be enough for the infected digimon to forget about attacking Dio as soon as his momentary invulnerability ended. Taking this short respite, he quickly snapped back into action, retreating back to the relative safety of the group, never taking his eyes of the cat as he did so. Carlos meanwhile let out a very brief sigh of relief as his partner made his way back in one piece, unscathed from what could have easily been a life threatening attack. The doctor had now saved their lives twice today. If they made it out alive, he’d be sure to buy her a drink later. Regardless, now that their D-Reaper cat had stopped running and was now at just the right distance from the humans Carlos figured it was the best time to try and get a scan in. Grasping his digivice he aimed it in the Meicrackmon’s direction as he pressed a button, a small green light blinking on the screen as the Field Club’s scanner got to work, trying to analyze and extract as much info from their enemy as possible. Knowing D-Reaper corruption, it was probably a long shot to expect the scan to yield anything of value, but every advantage they could get was more than welcome.
Dio retreats while under the effects of Shadowform and is untouched by the Hunter's attack. Carlos attempts to use the Digital Field Club's Super Scanner.Super Scanner - The scanners of the Field Club are much stronger than the scanners one can find in the stores. After a post of thorough scanning they show up to five of its attacks, alongside its prior and following digivolution levels. Any information gathered with the scanner is immediately sent back to the database back at base. The scanner can access this database and show any info desired once it has been saved. Cooldowns: D-Nail (1/3) System Shock (1/3)

"Eheh... eh?"
Tch - what kind of trick was this? With her prey at point-blank range, and an absolutely astonished devil who looked completely out of its wits, the four lasers of 'Red Strobe' seemed like a sure thing. But, somehow, the monster had managed to turn itself to smoke. The Hunter grit her fangs in frustration, Dagger's azure beam sailing right over the MeiCrackmon's shoulder, the beast having made a simple sidestep to dodge.
The Hunter would have pursued Dio if he fled in any other direction - but he made the smart decision to fortify himself with the rest of the group. Right, this would be tricky - but with both K and Cloak taking several seconds to Digivolve, it wasn't as if the MeiCrackmon would simply leave it be. As those two took their own higher forms, The Hunter slowly stepped forward, the mirrors on the back of her gauntlets pulsing a fierce red. Dark Knightmon's own appearance was impressive, but none put a bigger grin on the predator's face than the potential feast presented before her:
Jesmon.
The feline grinned, showing her clenched, eager fangs at the sight of these empowered morsels. K's question was paired with Dark Knightmon's appearance - and perhaps in a playful bout, she gave an eager, crazed chuckle, and answered:
"Sustenance."
That declaration was matched with MeiCrackmon's own technique: those mirrors let out a brilliant glow, a thick red veil - matching the consistency of the D-Reaper's own field - surrounding her body from head to toe! Her tails now dripped with the D-Reaper's substance, glowing amber eyes and a Cheshire smile escaping her lips. Rather than wait for any further pretense, the beast tore forth:
Jesmon was a lofty target, but before she attempted it, she'd need 'something' - and as the NeoDevimon was predisposed and she already had a 'taste' of Cloak, well, that left Dagger! Dark Knightmon and Duramon were the only two to attack her in this span, giving her ample time to see Cloak's movements. She didn't know the Dimensional Slash's trajectory, but simply assumed that she didn't want to stay the same course: darting left, the slice would cut through the cat's right-most tail, as the beast made a mad dash towards the bladed adversary. With her new speed, she'd close the gap in a little over a second...
... And should she get close, she'd cut low, and attempt to slam her right claw against his chest, and her left claw against his right knee!
As for Carlos' scan, well, it really only specialized in scanning pure Digimon. As it was here?
Species: ADR-00MMM##ERRRRR Attribute: VirDNAVaccc Family: #ERR Type: ADREEERRRR Techniques: RedStrobeRedLayerRedStrobeRedLayerRedStrobeRedLayerRedStrobeRedLayer Well. Thank goodness it failed to submit to database.
If Cassandra would manage to make her way back to the lake, she would indeed see the Orochimon below the surface - but with the sounds of combat in the distance, it was loathe to move from its current cover. Approached, the gaze of a puppet head would cautiously look towards the human...
Log:
MeiCrackmon uses 'Red Layer', gaining the cloak of the D-Reaper! The MeiCrackmon is now corrosive to touch, and her direct attacks are empowered. Additionally, under this effect, MeiCrackmon can use two attacks per round, after the initial cast. Duration: 1/3
Under the influence of 'Red Layer', MeiCrackmon approaches Duramon, intent on striking him with the overwhelming speed of her level. She attempts a heavy claw strike at Duramon's chest, and a separate strike aimed at the right knee!

There wasn't time. There simply wasn't time. Not time enough to stop the Meicrackmon. Not time enough for Cas who had glanced over her shoulder to draw a card to lend aid. Not time enough for Cloak to react and force the D-reaper infected Mega away from his twin even as he charged and fired a Night Lance at the enemies torso. There was simply put just not enough time. Leaving Duramon to watch with eyes growing wide with horror as the infected cats claws flashed out at him as he brought his swords down launching a futile barrier of light in an attempt to mitigate the damage.
Even as the trio, Tamer and twins, braced in silent horror for what was likely going to be a painful and nasty strike. Waited with little they could do for the enemies attack to cleave into the gleaming metal of the blade wielding Digimon.
Cloak Uses: - Night Lance: Dark Knightmon launches a piercing beam of energy at it's opponent eviscerating everything in it's path leaving nothing, but ash, dust, and destroyed data. Cooldown two turns.
Dagger Uses: - Catch The Light: Duramon slashes both of his swords down in front of him launching a barrier of light forward to stop a single ultimate level attack or two champion level attacks. Mitigating damage from a Mega level attack. Cooldown two turns.

K narrowed her eyes just a little bit with the feline's reaction to Dio being missed by her Lasers. It was certainly fast wasn't it? Sidestepping Dagger's initial attack along with what would of been a simple chase after Dio had he not backed off. She also didn't like the reaction that the Feline had to her form; she was used to fear or surprise when she made the mere mention of this form to people. She wasn't expecting the somewhat enthusiastic one that the cat had on their face currently. K gritted her teeth a little bit with the answer that the Meicrackmon gave her. This wasn't really a surprise to her considering the sort of thing that this hunter had been doing to warrant such a mission. But she had to know on her own what they considered the D-reaper to be. The Jesmon had maybe a moment to look over what the Meicrackmon had done to their body. It was some strange red veil that she really hadn't seen before; but that dripping that came from her tails only worried her more. With a snarl the Jesmon leaped towards Dagger her blades moving much faster than she did; they looked to intercept the attacks that the beast had made rendering them a moot point against the Duramon. The jesmon's eyes looked surprisingly cold and were completely focused on the Meicrackmon; knowing that her blades had acted swiftly enough to intercept the Meicrackmon's attacks. She'd let out a small growl and try to force the the Meicrackmon to give the Duramon some space by making a wide swipe with her right most sword. Battle Log: -K leaps towards Dagger -K uses Blades Of The Faithful, Valhalla's Aegis to shield Dagger from Meicrackmon's attacks. -Makes a basic attack towards Meicrackmon to try to make her back off. Passives:Valhalla's Regeneration 'Passive': Each post this Digimon regenerates a medium amount of health.
Attack used: Blades Of The Faithful, Valhalla's Aegis: This move orders the blades to Defend anyone within a fifty foot radius of the host. They may defend the target for up to three posts, easily deflecting any attack Ultimate and lower. Mega attacks may remove chunks of blades while Super mega's may Blast swaths of blades away. After the three posts this move cannot be used for four.
