"I want to go home now," White Wolf responds, clearly upset by Agumaru's words. Any kind of friendship that White Wolf and Agumaru possibly had was shattered in that instant. "I want to go home..."
"Right now, Rebecca?"
"But the meat apples are almost cooked!"
"I can get food in my world, the human world... I just don't want to be here anymore."
Gabumon looked solemnly at his human partner. "Rebecca, I don't think anyone here was trying to upset you, especially me and Agumon, and Agumaru has a point... deletion is a normal part of our world."
"Killing shouldn't be NORMAL! It... it's barbaric! How can you be perfectly okay with taking someone's life? I don't care if they're reborn again, it's still wrong!"
"Rebecca, please, calm down..."
"Just tell me how to get home..."
Gabumon opened his mouth but then sighed, realizing it was pointless. "There's a function on your Digivice that allows a Digiport to be opened. You can use that to return to the human world, and it'll be like you never left at all."
White Wolf took out her yellow Digivice and pressed a button, opening said Digiport. "Agumon... Gabumon... would you like to come live with me and my grandmother?"
"What's a grandmother?"
"I don't know... we've never left the forest before."
"Well... I'll be sure to come back, then, okay? But I really should go... it was nice meeting all of you." White Wolf then stepped into the Digiport and went back to the human world.
Jeez, what's with White Wolf? Or Rebecca? Or whatever she calls herself? "So. You would rather die and let your partners die. Forever. Than delete an enemy that would not stop otherwise." He started out calmly, but his anger quickly boils over. "And how dare you think I take this lightly!? I don't know what kind of world the Human World is, but here, not everyone is friendly and nice, and deletion sometimes has to happen! But that doesn't mean I'm OKAY with it! If I were the most powerful Digimon in the world, I would stop all this killing and deleting. But I'm NOT! Guess how many Digimon I've killed? Ten? Twenty? One hundred? No! Zero! I've done everything I've could to avoid deleting any Digimon! But if it comes down to me protecting a human and deleting a Digimon and letting them be reborn, or letting the human die, what one do you want me to choose?"
He turns his back with his arms crossed, obviously furious. But he also did that to hide the tears in his eyes. "Just go. Stay out of the Digital World. Never come back. Not because I'm mad... but because you'll lose your innocence or your life, one or the other."
"Whoa whoa whoa, calm down man," Agumon said to Agumaru, trying desperately to calm him down somewhat. "You both just need to calm down a bit..."
"Agumon's right, we don't want you two mad at each other... we like both of you."
"What would make Rebecca freak out like that, anyways? Clearly it's something more than just not liking death."
"I'm personally on the fence. If a Digimon does get deleted, then there is a chance that they will not remember anything from their past life. If that happened to you, Agumon, I don't know if you'd be better off actually gone or not."
"Is that... is that supposed to be a way for you to say that you love me? Because I'm not feeling it."
"Take it or leave it... come on, the meat apples are done. Let's just start eating. Do you still want to eat, Agumaru?"
Agumaru takes a deep breath and wipes the tears from his eyes, before letting out a large puff of air in a sigh. "She of all people should know that a human's one and only life is more than the many of a Digimon. Not saying you should load them - that would be horrible. But... I'd love to meet her again, but I don't want her back here. This world doesn't suit her. The Digital World would eat her up and spit her out, either literally or figuratively. That innocent 'no deleting Digimon' mindset... I admire and envy it. I... don't want to see her die for it, and I don't want to see it be shattered by the cruel world. She's too good for that. She's... she's better than me, who has lost that innocence."
The meat apples were done. Someone in this situation would probably say something like 'I lost my appetite'. However... "Yeah, I'm starving. Thank you. I'm really sorry about all this. I did not mean to hurt anyone..."
