Aylin definitely agreed that even how this room functioned would be good enough to study on, but she wanted to know more about this ruin and if there was more to it. Maybe the answer to that question was located further down.
Aylin watched gleefully as each member of the team solved their chosen part of the little puzzle in their own ways, and they all got their statues correct and where they needed to go. She couldn't help but giggle a little bit at the interactions between the tamer duos and how they learned more from each other and bantered. They must be great friends. "I think you all did it! Now let's wait a minute..." she said, beckoning for them all to come back to her. When they gathered, there's a brief flash of light from a section of the room as whatever effect that caused that portion to be transparent faded, revealing a doorway in the still wondrous room. The door rumbled to life and the heavy stone automatically parted to show the way forward "Yes! I knew there was more to this place!" Aylin said excitedly as she ran with surprising speed over to the doorway.
She was hopping up and down in joy "Ah, do you know what this means?! There could be more hidden doors like this everywhere! We can double check all the ruins we were at before! So much more to find! Let's see where it leads....uh..." he looked down and saw it was a little dark. Further down the steps and further deeper into the ocean she could see a vague light, probably another room designed like this. "I think I have...something..." she put down her backpack and dug through it before pulling out a flashlight "There we go." she turned the light on "Okay, I'll lead the way...watch your step everybody." she cautioned, slowly walking down the steps to avoid falling down.
The bottom of the staircase revealed a smaller room, but the transparent parts of the wall were more like windows this time. The room was still beautiful to behold with elegantly designed archways on the doors and different patterns painted along the walls. Four pillars held this room up and a mosaic tile floor led the group through the room. "Wow..." Aylin whispered, looking around for anything of interest. "It doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary here, so I think we're free to proceed when we're ready. What do you all think? Isn't this exciting?" she asked, hopeful they were as enthusiastic as she was.

Yup, that was it! Syre wasn't sure if her additional steps were needed to complete the puzzle, but as everyone else went along with it, the cat simply gave a grin as the door opened. And yes, Aylin had a point: there could be more just like this! "Well, maybe then we should keep a lookout for hidden statues, or something?" The cat tilted her head: "Fascinating though it may be, I hardly believe the architects of a place like this would use more than three or four tricks... but of course, I could be entirely wrong!"
Oh, this was exciting! With the Lopmon leading the way, the BlackGatomon followed along through the dark cave, down some ancient steps... towards a rather decorated room! Aylin didn't seem to think there was anything here - walking around a bit, resting a paw on a pillar, Syre nodded in agreement. "I imagine these are decorated pillars to hide supporting structure used when this cave was cut through in the first place. The fact that there are pillars here means it would have been too risky to cut through the walls to try and hide anything here..."
The cat was even thinking about something that mundane? Sheesh, Mikemon's thinking really was rubbing off on her!

After walking down the stairs, following Aylin and the light of her flashlight, with Katherine walking very carefully to not misstep and fall spectacularly, which would be pretty fit for her usual being, the group reached the next room, which wasn't too different from the other one, but it was equally beautiful too. -So... -Jazz hoped down of Katherine's head and stood in front of her. -Where's the treasure? -She asked with her eyes closed in a very confident manner. -It won't be that easy. -Katherine smacked the bunny's head, not with an angry expression but rather a calmed one.
The group kept walking through the room looking around the designs on the walls. Katherine's curiosity was rising by the minute, so she took the time to inquire a little about the ruins the group was on. Who knows, maybe she could discover a little more about this marvelous world.-So... Aylin... -She addressed the Lunamon. -For how long do you think this place has been here? Do you know anything about Sunken Elysium's origins? -The girl couldn't help but be truly intrigued by this whole place, was this a regular ground city that was sunken by a huge amount of water? or was there something else to this marvelous scenario?. Jazz was also intrigued about Aylin and her interest in studying these ruins. -So you tend to do research on these kinds of places? Is that your job? -For both Katherine and Jazz, traveling and researching this fantastic world to discover all of its secrets was something so amazing they could not even describe the excitement that filled their bodies from just thinking about it. -I've always wanted to research and investigate more about the Digital World, from ruins to ancient forests or caves, I just find this whole world so fascinating...

"Looks fine, I guess." Renamon looked away at Aylin. He just wanted to get this mission does. But, he does have to admit that it looks very beautiful yet, he doesn't say anything about it.
Blake was in awe. "I wonder if this isn't the only location with this much of decor." He wondered out loud. He then looked at Katherine to nod. "Me too! Maybe, all of us, we should go around The Digital World." He spoke before looking at Renamon which he was then greeted with a look. Blake then turned to Katherine "Most of the world anyway. You never know if a certain place can be dangerous." He shrugged.
Renamon was more focused on watching his step than Blake was but, it didn't matter as his tamer was making sure to follow the people with the flashlight. "I get the feeling that this is the part where someone is most likely to falter." Renamon thought to himself.

It was swiftly affirmed to Chaze that his current line of work was completed, as he glanced towards the now open door. He walked diligently towards the door, strolling down the stairs, silently and calmly as ever. He hardly moved his head, to examine the room itself, while basically everyone else gawked at the appearance of the room. Escamon was the first to note the all-important role of the support pillars, constructed to be thick enough to survive years of torment, clearly the constructors of these ruins seemed to desire the long-term survival of their building, as if they wanted people to examine them at some hundred years later.
"It's pretty cool." Chaze remarked, to Aylin's remark about all of this excursion being "exciting", not to be rude, but very few things other than fear could accelerate Chaze's heartbeat. After placing a hand thoughtfully on one of the pillars, he started moving on, walking towards what he assumed to be deeper into the ruins, assuming the others would eventually follow him. He stopped, at the next pathway, glancing back at the others, before shifting his attention towards the rest of the room. Why were they so interested in all of this? It was just a room, it's uses being storing things and providing access to somewhere else. It would be little different if it was a hallway, only losing the storage aspect. It was a well-constructed room, sure, but it was still a boring, basic room. He stayed silent as he pondered just how odd that sort of behavior was.

Aylin was glad that most of the others enjoyed the exploration so far the the implications it could have on future expeditions. She nodded at Syre "Exactly. This room seems to be mostly to support the hallways and the rest of the ruins. As for what's ahead of us...hm...I don't know. It could be anything, so make sure to keep on the lookout, okay?" she said, though still retaining her upbeat attitude about it.
She looked really happy that Katherine and Jazz were asking these questions "Well I know just about as much as the average person who's been here. Its origins as far as I know are still a mystery to most as it just rose up from the Macro Ocean one day. A lot of Digimon who prefer aquatic environments have taken a liking to the place but there's still so much that's left to explore. Countless places are still uncharted." she explained. She thought about what Jazz asked, looking a little nostalgic "Mhm, I do this as a job. I've been traveling for a very long time, trying to uncover so many secrets of the world and preserving our precious histories. My friend also said that history is our most powerful tool. Without it, how can we learn for the future? And I get to meet so many people and even help sometimes! I've been helping a Spirit User find his totems whenever he needs guidance." she then looked back at Katherine "I'm really glad you find this world so fascinating. I find humans fascinating and would love to see your world one day, but I have so much I have to do here first."
She admired Blake's enthusiasm "Just be sure to always be prepared wherever you go! There's a lot of danger hidden away, as much as I wish that wasn't true..." she said solemnly "But I believe in you! All of you."
She had a feeling Chaze was very focused on the job and couldn't fault him for that at all "Well it seems we should continue. Let's go, everyone!" she said as she led them through the next hall.
This hall was a wide hallway, with staircases leading into the water that goes back into the ocean. It seemed to have little purpose initially, but a torrent of water continuously flowed from the roof of the building onto the pathway ahead and into those sides. Aylin marveled at it for a moment before approaching a tablet with an inscription "It says...'Only those who face the future unflinching may proceed to the halls of knowledge ahead...'" she read. "Wow that's really pouring...I guess those stairs are to climb back out in case we fall? What do you guys think this means?" the water seemed too forceful to just casually pass under without being pushed out of the way. There were no staircases on the other side either and the walls were too steep and slippery to climb.

It seemed Syre's guess was about right, which earned the cat a small grin, nodding along with the Lunamon. At their leader's discretion, they would continue to make their way onwards, as Jazz and Katherine chatted up their host. Between the four of them, the group had a lot of energy - even if the Renamon and Chaze seemed to be dragging the room down. Sure, Renamon was cautious, a twitch flickering in the cat's ear - but why was the spirit wielder here if he couldn't enjoy the mission?
Syre didn't put too much stock in that thinking, though: hearing about the Lunamon's occupation was more than interesting enough! Stepping down the hall, the cat seemed impressed: "You hunt for spirit totems? Does the wielder trace them or do you have to find them in the first place?" She was genuinely curious, both of that and the cavern before them...
... Until they reached what was honestly a frightening room. Tons of water poured down straight on the path, towards an outlet on each side, staircases built out towards each side. Between the tablet and the stone slab, the Lunamon had a first guess - but Syre shook her head. "That can't be it - the outward current of the water would force anyone that fell right back out into the ocean. The stairs are likely only there because the builders needed a way back out - that, or there's a way further on to shut off the water from above."
Further on? Giving a sigh, Syre gave a deep breath, taking a moment to calm herself. She was wearing a diving kit, right? The cat had the best chance to 'risk' something like this: "Just like before, I'm guessing its just taken at face value. Throw away common sense and walk through the middle?"
That... honestly didn't sound too attractive of an idea. Being swept out to sea was a serious risk, but there didn't seem to be any other trick to the room. Unless Aylin would caution her otherwise, Syre would give a nod - and give a try, stepping out down that center path, right down the middle, keeping a steady pace.

Katherine couldn't help but smile at Aylin again, the little digimon was not utterly adorable, but was also very determined and hungry for knowledge, which led the girl to sympathize even more with her. The girl's curiosity also kept rising about this friend of Aylin, who seemed to be a lover of ancient history too, and, based on what the Lunamon mentioned earlier, a great digimon that she looked up to. Asking about him seemed rude right now since that probably wasn't their business, so the duo kept following the cute digimon into a hall, that seemed truly imposing, with a huge fall of water blocking the path ahead, with staircases on the sides, where someone from down below could get back into the pathway.
Jazz frowned upon hearing Aylin read the inscription on the tablet next to the big fall of water. Then, after listening to Syre, the situation seemed even less favorable to the group. She had a point, if someone were to fall due to the strength of the falling water, they could be dragged back into the ocean, thanks to the current of water, that seemed to be extremely powerful due to the height of the fall. Throwing away common sense didn't seem like a good idea, but Syre was willing to try going through it without thinking, which was kind of what the inscription on that tablet stated.
-No, I think it might work, actually. -Jazz look beneath her, as Katherine spoke, since she was again on the brunette's head. -It's a physics phenomenon... actually, it has more to do with fluid mechanics to be precise. -The girl began to explain. -The drag force, or simply drag is produced between the water and our bodies trying to cross it. Since the water is not moving in the exact opposite direction from our bodies, we shouldn't have much trouble going through it. Of course, as long as the contact area and time is reduced. -She added. -For this, is important to cross quickly and hope for the current of water to not be excessively thick.
-Woaoh... -Jazz was looking at Katherine pretty impressed, with her hand on her lower lip.
-I'm not saying it's not dangerous... I'm saying it could work. -Apparently, all of those physics classes and being a top student had paid off. Then again, if she was wrong, this would be pretty embarrassing.

Chaze naturally stayed silent as the others relayed information, from the sound of things, all they needed to do was get through the water, and it sounded like a more direct approach was necessary. He pulled out his D-Tector, and a band of energy formed around his hand. In a flash of light, as energy surrounded him, before a towering figure appeared, Escamon crouched down, gripping the ground with his massive mechanical arm. "I just have to break through, right?" He asked, the pistons on his legs pumping before he leaped over Syre, extending his legs in a flying dropkick on the waterfall.
Escamon lamented the fact he had to perform a destructive way to progress, but it's not like he could take a piece from the rest of the ruins to make a shield through the water, as preserving a structure like this to the best of his ability was more his style. If anything, kicking water was the least destructive thing he could do here, when faced with this obstacle, which seemed to welcome reckless abandon more than anything else. Regardless of if Escamon makes it through, he could still reach and grasp the edge if he ended up pushed aside, regardless of his spearhead approach.

'Only those who face the future unflinching may proceed to the halls of knowledge ahead.' came up into their minds.
Blake was thinking about what the Tablet meant. It was very confusing to him. "I don't think nothing, yet. Though, maybe we should have our swimming suits on standby?" Blake wondered. "You know. In case if we fall to our slight impending doom."
Renamon decided to guess. "I think we have to go through without falling. What the tablets say are not that complicated. However, you may be right." He said, referring to Katherine. "I think as long as we don't get swept away, it should be safe."
Renamon then took a step forward and stepped on something which was a small pebble. Irritated, He got his left knee up high to flick the pebble off from his foot to lay it on the ground.
When Escamon attempted go through, behind his back, he crossed his fingers. He was hoping for his attempt to be a success with Blake about to go through the water before being grabbed by his hood.
"One at a time." Was all Renamon said to him.Blake rolled his eyes, thinking that Escamon will most likely make it.

Since Escamon dove through the water first, he would find that for some reason the water wasn't as forceful as it looked and dove clean through the rushing waves to the other side with little effort. As it turned out, it was an optical illusion. The wide area in which the water fell made it look imposing, and the sound of the ocean beneath them made it sound louder than it actually was. It was a thin layer of water, but thick enough to not be able to see through it to the other side. Aylin stuck her arm in the water "Hey, it's not all that strong after all. Just what is this place if the tests are like this? I wonder if this place was some kind of school or other place of knowledge...tests that require logical thinking, even if they were simple, and ones that are just audio and optical illusions...this place gets even more interesting." she darted through the water, not wanting her backpack to get too soaked.
Once everyone had passed through, the door before them opened and the water ceased its flowing. "Well that wasn't so bad, thankfully." she said with her usual happy tone of voice. She would immediately lead the group through the door and yet another hallway. Thankfully they didn't seem to be going any further down. The next room was precisely what Aylin has been waiting for. Once more with that beautiful see-through room aesthetic, this room had a massive circular platform in the center with ancient tablets arranged in places. "This...this is what I've been looking for!" she hopped up onto the platform and looked around at the tablet "Oh I'm going to need a lot of time to record this...this must have been a...study hall? Library?" she looked at the different tablets and some strewn about "Could be either, but who knows what this information could be..."
She saw a particularly interesting tablet "But this..." she walked over to it and dusted it off "These look to be...blueprints! Maybe a map? Either way this could help future expeditions!" she took out something to take notes on and eagerly began. She would likely be at this for a while "I'm truly grateful to all of you...I promise I'll be done soon and once I am, we'll head out of here and you'll get your reward for the mission..." she continued her writings, though deep down she worried this was all a little too easy.

The water wasn't that bad at all! Syre, seeing the warrior type literally vault over their heads, flinched a bit as he dove straight through the water - but, thankfully, it amounted to little more than a thin veil of water, something like a wall fountain display!
That might have been interesting. Equally interesting was Katherine's physics theory about the whole place. However, Syre couldn't focus on that. After everyone passed through, the BlackGatomon found herself with gritted teeth, as if holding something back. Once everyone was safe, though, she gave a glare in Escamon's direction:
"Are you !#^&ing insane?!" Her 'upbeat' composure dropped at a heartbeat, a bit of venom entering her voice: "Break right through it? I was walking forward, right towards the water! You could have thrown off the water pressure and killed me, you ignorant little... ugh!" Damn it, she couldn't settle down! Fuming, the cat turned around, crossing her arms, trying her best to level herself out. Right, it wasn't so bad, they were all here... and they had to keep going, right?
Understandably, the cat was a little more silent into the next room. Yes, the next room was interesting - well decorated, several tablets around, some that the cat gave a glance or two at. Indeed, wasn't it a bit too easy? Though, the cat did have one thing to bring up:
"Strange, why are any on the floor at all?"

Even though gasping when Chaze turned into a digimon to tackle the water in a dropkick, Katherine was pretty sure this would probably work, she just couldn't help to be scared at the sight, since she didn't want anyone to get hurt. Nevertheless, it was also pretty impressive for her to see another Spirit Evolution happening just in front of her. Apparently, his name was Escamon, he had the appearance of some sort of metallic warrior, with thick metallic arms. It was still pretty obvious Chaze was underneath that armor, which made it look even cooler. Jazz's eyes were glimmering at the sight, as she kept looking directly at the mighty digimon.
-So cooooool!! -The bunny was a big fan of digimon that looked like robots or ancient warriors, and Escamon looked like both, so he earnt Jazz's admiration right away.
Katherine, on the other side, even though impressed at the digimon's appearance, was mainly happy to see he had made it safely to the other side. Not thanks to the almost unexisting drag force effect between the fall of water and it's body, but the fact that it was all an illusion, the layer of water falling was extremely thin, as Aylin proved by sticking her hand into it. Katherine, with Jazz gripped around her neck, jumped across it, still somewhat scared due to the illusion, both landed safely. Jazz kept looking at Escamon after the illusion puzzle was over, pretty impressed by his cool looks, she couldn't wait to see him fight. Syre, on the other side, seemed to be somewhat angry towards Chaze, for rushing that way into jumping through the water while the black cat was behind him. In fact, if that wasn't an illusion, the water spread after clashing with Escamon's body could have hit Syre and knock her off the rock, but Katherine and Jazz just preferred to stay out of it.
After walking for not so long, the group reached another room, this one looked like an ancient library of some sort since it seemed to have a bunch of tablets with very old inscriptions spread around a circular platform. Katherine and Jazz smiled at Aylin, as she hoped in excitement towards one of the tablets and started taking information from it. It seemed like this was what she was looking for all along. The duo then began walking around the room, looking at the different tablets. Maybe they could find any information about the Zoid Gems here? Very unlikely, but still, it didn't hurt to look around, after all, it seemed like after finishing on this room, they would be done with the mission, which was kind of sad since exploring this ruins had been pretty fun.

It seemed as though Escamon had miscalculated and thoroughly overestimated just how much resistance he would receive from the torrent of water, and as a result of the force he exerted from his kick, his whole body was thrown off-balance, launching him through the mild stream of water, as he rotated mid-air, having lost control of his own momentum. "ah." He exclaimed, softly, as he crashed on his shoulder blade, before skidding across the ground, before slamming into the wall near the door, his legs dangling in the air. For a moment, he sat perfectly still, processing exactly what happened, and where he went wrong.
After taking this moment, he gripped the ground in front of him, with his crusher arm and hoisted his body above the ground, rotating himself back to his feet. It was then he registered the fact the black cat was berating him, something about water pressure? "Well, if the water was that dangerous in the first place, wouldn't walking straight into it be more dangerous?" He pondered, aloud, scratching his face nervously, with one finger of his smaller hand. His plan had been breaking through, and then trying to locate some sort of mechanism he could close up, to stop the water flow before any of the others got in too much danger, though now it was apparent that plan wasn't exactly foolproof.
Despite his explanation, he couldn't help but feel bad he had scared the little thing so badly, and hung in the back of the group as they entered the next room, not wanting to take too much space, while also having little reason to let Chaze back at the controls, just yet. Taking a look at this and even touching the construction of the area was something Escamon was especially interested in, and Chaze hadn't complained, so it should be fine.

Renamon was absorbed at how big it was. "This could be then some sort of temple." Ren thought to himself. He especially listened to what Aylin was saying and then realized something. "If it's a map of some sorts, they wouldn't want us to take it THAT easily. There could be a catch."
"I have to agree. I mean, it feels as if this whole place was built by people who think their better than us. i don't know if they have that type of mindset but, this is starting to get a bit creepy. To me, anyway." Blake spoken.
Blake looked at Katherine to quickly look at something else."I wish I was as smart as her. But, I don't think it will ever come to that." He thought to himself.
Renamon continued to keep his attention to Aylin but, then wanted to say something else. "May I take a look at your notes?" He asked her.
