The sheer amount of attacks from all sides and various distances disoriented the Minotarumon, who simply stumbled about as something latched onto his back "Get...off!" he shouted, reaching back, trying to grab at Syre. These distractions certainly kept him from noticing the massive attack being built up, and with any luck Syre will be out of harms way in short order.
This also led to all of the attacks made against him landing, starting with Escamon's dropkick. He took several steps backwards from the force. Despite this he was still furiously trying to get Syre off him "I said get off!" he shouted. If Syre wasn't carefully, he would eventually grab her and slam her into the ground. "Didn't expect a bunch of small fry like you guys to be such a pain!"
Aylin worried for the situation at hand, though it seems the efforts were distracting Torin from completely ripping the foundation of the room apart. She waved over at Syre to warn her of the incoming attack by Jazz, not wanting to vocally shout it lest Torin figure something out. Though for the time being, Torin made no serious attack other than attempting to tear Syre off of him.

It worked! And far better than Syre could have expected!
With the Moosemon distracted by the fight - and clearly overwhelmed from the front - it was very simple for Syre to make her leap, and securely latch her claws against that back. The first slash of her Saberk sunk cleanly against the champion's back, the cat gritting her teeth as she held on for dear life. Naturally, the beast type tried to pry her off, but it would likely take a little bit - sort of like having an itch on your back you just can't reach!
And, for the moment, Syre would take that challenge: letting her claws sink in, she'd try and give another heavy slash of her Saberk, this time right between the monster's shoulder-blades! She wanted to cause as much damage as she could, but as much as he was struggling and trying to grab at her, she couldn't do more than aim dead center. Besides, it was hard to focus on the grip when everyone was shouting at you to get off!
How about you all just blast him while he's distracted?! This wasn't supposed to be a walk in the park! But it did keep her aware of her surroundings... and as that hand was about to grab her, she'd kick off, and push herself a good distance behind the Moosemon!
"Now!"
Now... what? Actually, she didn't know. But screaming in the back of the beast's ears might serve as a distraction!

If she already felt like she still had a lot to learn about her partner, this situation had only shown Katherine she had even more to learn about her evolved form. The technique Jazz was using at her Moosemon form was one the brunette had never seen in action before, so she was learning how it worked on the go. Apparently, the moose had reunited a great amount of energy from the environment: water, in this particular scenario. Now she was fully charged up and ready to shoot her beam against Torin since some minutes ago, but her desire to not harm Syre had made her hold the blast until the BlackTailmon was off from danger. It seemed that, since her body was only able to contain a certain amount of energy, and since the technique was an overextend of that gap (since it was taking energy from her surroundings and not using Jazz's own energy), she was now hurting herself by retaining such blast. Hearing her partner squeal in pain was definitely something hard for the girl to bear, so she could only keep yelling until someone got Syre off the Minotaurmon’s back. She couldn’t blame Syre, since she was actually causing some damage and didn’t know Jazz technique was coming when she latched onto the beast’s back. It was Torin’s hesitant movements that didn’t allow any of the other members to take the cat off.
-My partner… my best friend... is in pain right now…-Katherine began to walk slowly, with her gaze down, trying to hide the tears that were starting to fill her eyes. –You have no respect for our lives, for this place, or for knowledge… -As she kept walking, the volume of her voice kept rising. -…You don’t deserve these pieces or their value… -The girl stopped, at the same level as where Jazz was standing, but at her righter side. –The only thing that you deserve… -She promptly raised her view, looking directly at Torin. -… is to be taken down right here! –Syre had jumped off from the Minotauromon’s back, and the path was completely clear. –JAZZ DO IT NOW!
A blue blast came out from Jazz’s mouth, the blue colored energy surrounding her body was also thrown forward, merging with the continue beam of energy that emerged from her mouth. As the beam traveled, thanks to the energy that kept merging with it, it got bigger and bigger until reaching around the size of Jazz. It was a huge, blue blast of energy going straight at Torin.
( Moosemon makes a call for all of the nature spirits around the battle stage, gathering energy from them, this kind of energy is based on the kind of natural environment she is in: ocean, mountain, forest, dessert or others. The next turn, Moosemon will release a beam of energy from her mouth, based on the energy she gathered, this makes an enormous amount of damage, more than any other Moosemon attack, capable of immediately taking out an opponent if they're not prepared. The turn of this release, Moosemon can't perform other attacks. 5 posts cooldown. )
After such attack, a white light covered Jazz’s body, slowly returning her to her Lopmon form, completely exhausted. Not only the energy that such attack consumed but the amount of damage she had to take while she held it, probably wear her off terribly. –You did good, girl. –Katherine mumbled, with a smile while the bunny just laid on the ground with her eyes closed.
Katherine Status: - Jazz Status: Finally fired The Forest is Angry blast. Took too much damage from holding the technique for so long. Jazz is out of combat.

Escamon never moved to defend his face, as his face was hidden by his mask, and protected from any rubble, of course, he did have to mask his eyes from the bright flash of light. There was no way to tell if that monstrous attack worked, just yet, so Escamon had no reason to back down just yet. He then realized that he was standing on the area where Torin had excavated part of the floor, and he came up with an idea. Which was rare, for him, but whatever. He crouched down, grabbing at the rubble on the ground, and his hand consecutively closed in on itself, each time he grabbed a new piece. He continued this, moving quickly and carefully to only grab the stones that were blasted apart, and none that was still part of the ground.
After a bit of this collecting, his arm had seemingly opened up it's plates, as it expanded to almost twice it's original size, before the engine on his back roared, as his arm slammed back down to original size, and a loud puff of steam emerged from a ventilation shaft on the side of his arm. An instant later, he swung his arm, a sea-blue pillar emerged from the hole in his hand that he had shoved the stones in previously. The loose rubble had been melded back together into a stone pillar. He then charged into the smoke cloud where Torin should still be, lunging forward with his new weapon, attempting to catch whatever was left of his foe by surprise, before he had the chance to recover. Some may very well consider this ruthless or cowardly, but it wasn't his job to fight fair right now, he needed to end this as quick as possible.

Now Gatomon was already safe, Renamon didn't know what do for a second as he was awfully close to Torin but, he has to think fast. He could use him as a platform to jump off to safety or deliver him a few strikes to THEN use him as a platform. His second option could be risky but, having already to be gaining momentum, he decided to take another chance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rapid Kick: Kicks at a rapid pace ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Rapid Kick!" He started using his left leg to deliver several kicks at a fast rate to Torin's left side. He didn't think things through as he then dropped down to the ground, on the floor HARD, VERY near Torin. He attempted to get up but, he exclaimed as he dropped down again, his left leg seemed bruised as he got up on his right leg and started limping away slowly. It's most likely Torin will be able to strike him from the distance he was currently at.
"RENAMON!" Blake shouted as he started to go over there but, he stopped as Ren puts his hand out.
"DON'T! I don't want you to almost get yourself killed again!" He answered him in a hostile manner.

Torin felt the blade dig into his back, clearly growing more and more weary with the battle "Damn...cat!" he tried to swipe back but she was already gone "Stop running away!" he shouted, looking to where she landed. Much to his shock, that was also the direction the massive beam of energy launched from, blasting him away a considerable distance and dealing major damage in the process as he slammed into the wall.
Dazed and struggling to remain standing, all he could do was mutter a few angry words only to be met with yet another heavy hitting attack courtesy of a giant stone pillar by Escamon. Taking the hit directly to the torso, he reels back even more before the Renamon finalized the series of attacks with a rapid barrage of kicks into his side. "This...ain't on my pay grade. You are all somethin' else, yeah...?" he cracked his knuckles "Gotta respect that...mhm, gotta respect that a lot, yeah? I don't even care about the mission anymore...this was a good fight. Now come on, let's finish this up, yeah?!"
He looked down at the injured Renamon and sighed "I ain't about to his someone that can barely walk, yeah? You on the other hand..." he looked at Escamon "I like your style, buddy. Good use of your environment, yeah? Well come on! Horn Strike!" he squatted down slightly before rushing at Escamon and flailing his head upwards to skewer him with his horns.

"Tch... tough bugger, aren't you?!"
Despite her own combination, as well as a much stronger attack launching the bull into the wall, somehow Torin was still able to stand on his feet! Still clutching against her energy blade, her ear flicked a bit at the Minotaurmon's words. Was... was he conceding? The tone almost made it sound as much - er, nope. Nope, not at all: his eyes were focused right on the Renamon, then the Escamon, looking for an 'even fight'.
An 'even fight' that the cat wasn't going to allow! "HYAH!" With one last swing of her blade, the sword would disappear entirely from her hand, an energy arc thrown forward, intent on slashing diagonally, right across the bull's back!
That'll show you for ignoring me!

If the battle was not coming to an end soon, the group would be clearly in trouble. The combat had begun to take its toll on them, as it was visible in everyone's faces and bodies. There was clearly a limited amount of techniques a digimon of their level could use without getting exhausted and they were drawing close to it. This was obvious to Katherine, upon seeing her mission partners go everywhere. Jazz, on the other side, was out for good. The bunny laid completely unconscious on the ground. She didn't seem to be too hurt, just completely wore off.
The technique used over Torin seemed to have been effective, to say the least, launching the minotaur straight against a wall. When the smoke disappeared, the sight of the beast still standing scared Katherine at first, but upon taking a better look and detailing the creature, also listening to his words, it was clear he was giving the last stretch. Even though she hated his philosophy and was angered at him for how he acted towards this sacred place, she had to respect him wanting to give his best until the end. Torin then went straight against Escamon, running at full throttle against the mecha digimon. Katherine then noticed Renamon, Blake's digimon limping away. Was he out too? or could he launch one more attack? in any case, even if Torin wasn't planning on attacking him, he was still in danger, Torin and Escamon and Syre's battle taking place not too far from him.
Katherine felt she couldn't stay to just watch this, she would feel useless.Jazz had done her best to help everyone so she had to do the same, then why did she feel so scared? It didn't matter anymore, because she was moving already. Once again, facing her fear inside this world, once again, acting recklessly. She picked Jazz up and ran backward towards Aylin. -Aylin! -She addressed the Lunamon while she ran. -Take care of Jazz, okay? -She said placing her partner's body next to the digimon. The brunette then sprinted towards Renamon, getting on his left side, helping the fox to walk properly. -You're going to be fine. -She said, trying to give some moral support to the digimon, even though he didn't seem to need much, so the girl was more or less talking to herself. Now that Torin had taken some distance, Blake was probably going to be there soon too; but that was okay, the two would help Renamon getting out of danger faster.

Renamon's eye widened a bit when Katherine was on his left side, helping him walk out of danger. "I can walk just fi-" He was about to say until he felt his right side being supported by Blake.
Blake had a very concerning look on his face, ignoring what Ren was going to say. "We got you. You're not alone." was all he said while he and Kat bring him to safety. Renamon grumbled and decided to go along with it.
"Get me over to that pillar." He said to the both of them as he tried pointing at it. It was far from the fight that was still occurring between Torin and Esacmon it seems.
Blake had a thought while supporting Renamon's right. "I wonder why he can be difficult when someone offers him for help. Despite that Minotaur sparing him, what if it happened differently? That's something that the both of us need to discuss but, not right now."

Escamon found himself miscalculating his foe once more, this time underestimating his foe's weight and size, his pillar was far too limited in scope to hope to restrain the foe. He did, however, succeed in once more winning his attention. The beast bucked his head at him, but Escamon still held his pillar between himself and Torin, and the compressed stone still remained strong, after his initial attack. Escamon stepped back, as the beast-man approached, and he shoved the pillar towards the incoming horns, and the piercing force behind the horns were stopped as the horns were embedded in the rapidly crumbling pillar. However, the blunt force behind the blow forced the pillar from Escamon's metal grip, slamming into his torso.
The force of the attack, while he avoided being stabbed, the force sent him flying away, slamming into a nearby bookshelf that was embedded in the wall. He dropped to the ground, some books raining around him, his engine sputtering and gasping, puffing out pitch black smoke. He landed on his left arm, before he placed his right on the ground, pushing himself back upright, his engine stuttering as he continuously tried to regain his footing, on shaky legs. A fragment of metal fell from his mask, and an emerald green light shone from behind it, as he brought up his hand to check his face, finding the opening in his helmet with his fingers, before he glanced back up towards his foe, "Okay." He said, in response to Torin's response, "I want to end this now." He stated, shakily pulling his right arm up, resting his hand on his shoulder, as he pointed his elbow at Torin, in a familiar pose. A whining noise could be heard, as the laser from before was fired at Torin's leg, once more, attempting to disable his movement, once more.

Aylin gently took Jazz from Katherine and held her "You did great...you can rest a bit now, okay?" she whispered to the unconscious Digimon, hoping her words reached her. Jazz's attack did massive damage to the Minotarumon and lead to the follow up attacks of everyone else. Everyone did amazingly despite their foe's strength.
Due to his tunnel vision as a result of going after Escamon, Syre's attack hit home, which staggered slightly as he slammed his horns into the stone pillar. He shook his head in an attempt to dislodge the stone pillar from his horns. By the time it crumbled away, he didn't have time to react as the beam burned into his leg. Torin stood tall for a moment, legs shaking, but ultimately collapsed to his knees, defeated. He panted heavily as he tried to regain his footing, but braced himself on his metallic arm "Heh...heheh...you got me good, yeah? I'm done...I know when I've been beat. Ah, I'm so doomed, yeah...?" he said. He took his defeat with dignity, but there was clearly something more at play.
Aylin called out to Torin "You said you would tell us who's behind this...and from the sounds of it, they're not the most merciful of employers...if you tell us everything, I'll see if I can have you protected." she offered.
Torin was taken aback by Aylin's generous offer "After all I did...? You're a weird one, yeah?" he said, though he looked grateful at the very least "...No one knows a lot about them, but they're bad news. Really bad. Now that I can think on it, they might have deleted me on the spot if this place got destroyed, yeah? I'm so dumb..." he muttered "They want maps to ruins...really old ones, yeah? Something about spirit totems and harvesting them to distribute them to Digimon for insane prices or loyalty."
Aylin gently placed Jazz down and stood up "Wh-what?! Harvesting spirit totems? They can't do that! If they do that, who knows what happens to the spirit inside? It might corrupt them, anger them, something! Do you know anything else? Where are they?!" she was horrified at the implications. What if something like that happened to her friend? She couldn't stomach the idea.
Torin sighed "Ain't got much more to say, yeah? Like I said, no one knows a lot about them, but they got bits. Lots of bits...I was just hired, doing my job, yeah? But I don't think they take failure really well...but..." he looked at Aylin "Get me safely away from them, and I'll help find him, yeah? This has been a wake up call if there ever was one." he said "I'll do what I can to make it up to you all, yeah? Promise." he grinned widely, seeming to be rather genuine. Not that he had much of a choice now that he was no longer capable of combat.
Aylin smiled softly and went back to looking after Jazz "Well I'll see who I can get in contact with, but if this person is doing anything that you claim they are, then we can't leave them alone." she said. Once everything had settled, she looked around at the brave humans and Digimon that helped today "You all did such an amazing job here! I'm glad you gave it your all, but I'm sorry that some of you got so hurt...let's wait for everyone to be back on their feet and report in okay? I'd say this mission is accomplished!" she said, happily smiling at everyone.

Torin has been defeated and revealed information on a mysterious entity attempting to harvest spirit totems for their own purposes.
Structural Integrity has only taken minor damage! Success!

The moment Torin collapsed, Escamon's beam fizzled, and his form fractured and vanished, leaving a bruised, but still standing Chaze glancing around. It took him a moment, but he noticed one of his reflective lenses was cracked, "Aw, man." He muttered, gripping both of the lenses covering his eyes, and popping them off. He then placed them in what seemed to be a custom-made case, and tucked it into one of his many pockets, before withdrawing what looked to be a pair of glasses, before slipping them over his blank expression. He then glanced up, revealing his eyes under his glasses. Any who looked would immediately notice the startling beauty of his emerald green eyes, which sparkled like a cavern of carved gemstones, and they glittered fantastically as he glanced around, getting one last look at the room, before speaking once more.
"Well, if we're done, then, I kinda wanna go sleep in a bed somewhere." He explained, before a voice only he could hear spoke to him, once more, "There are motels in the digital world." "There are?" Chaze asked, aloud, "Okay, let's find one, then. He concluded, rubbing the back of his neck, as he started limping back the way he came, towards the exit. Oddly enough, this wasn't the most injured he had been while doing a job, he could recall, once, when his leg had been involved in what was described as a freak Jackhammer incident, and his leg had been so severely mangled, that Chaze couldn't get any work done, before he was carried off to the hospital. Sure, now he was winded, and covered in bruises and potentially a few broken ribs, but after a bit of rest, he could get another job, and perhaps set up an even rhythm of work and rest, just the thing he loved most in life; patterns.

When Blake got closer to Katherine and Renamon to aid the fox-like digimon, the brunette couldn't help but smile at the young man. It always got to her when humans got out of their way to help their partners, and she could see the bond Blake and Renamon shared was even bigger than it seemed like at first. Not long after they finished taking Renamon over to the pillar where she asked to be taken to and watched the rest of the battle from a safe spot, just when she saw Torin fall to the ground one last time, Katherine knew it was over. Now that she knew it was safe, she turned at Blake.
-I need to go take care of Jazz, okay? -She said, firmly. The girl then ran towards Aylin, taking Jazz back into her arms, to then listen to everything Torin said. If she thought Torin was evil at first due to his intentions, these people sound terribly worse. They were trying to find and sell spirit totems, they were literally selling power that was supposed to be reached only by holding a connection to a spirit or fighting for a purpose. -That's... horrible. -The girl muttered as she listened to the defeated beast's words. The fact that Aylin offered him a way out and even protection, was something that, if shocked Katherine at first, made her grin after. She still wouldn't take back any of the things she said to Torin about his attitude and wanting to destroy such a beautiful place, but she understood Aylin's will to help the Minotauromon. To be honest, she had a lot to learn from the Lunamon. The brunette's eyes widened when she saw Torin's grin and then turned at Aylin with a smile too, as the mission was finally completed. Jazz wouldn't wake up for a while, but she could tell she would be alright, it wasn't the first time she was this exhausted after a combat.
While Chaze walked towards the exit, it was clear he had taken a massive amount of damage during this job. Nevertheless, the tall man was surprisingly still walking. -Your name is Chaze, right? -The girl asked, looking at the man while he headed for the exit. -Thank you so much for your help, you did a great job.
She walked towards Blake who was still close to Renamon. -I hope Renamon gets better soon. -The girl made a brief pause, thinking if she should let her next comment out. Even though the two didn't have the best attitude at first, they did a great job in the end. The girl then bowed to the duo, still holding Jazz with her two arms. -Thanks for all your hard work! -She simply said. Walking back to Aylin, she turned at Syre too. With a smile, she stopped, crouching to address the cat digimon. -That desire to know more about everything, that instinct, that undying curiosity... -The girl then made a pause, looking at Syre into her eyes.-I love that, because I also have it. -She added. -W-We should hang out sometime. -The brunette stuttered a little. -Is there a place where I can find you? -She finally asked. The girl felt like out of the group of participants in this mission, Syre and Aylin were the ones she could identify herself with the most, probably because of their hunger for knowledge.
Finally, the girl turned at Aylin, once she reached where she was. -Aylin, if you ever need anything... -The girl took out the D-Terminal she had recently received. -Here's my D-Terminal ID. -She gave her contact info to the Lunamon. -I know Jazz and I are not the best fighters but... -The girl made a brief pause. She couldn't help but feel this mission had been just the first step they took into something much bigger. Much more dangerous. And she didn't want Aylin to get hurt. -I would love helping you catch these bad guys harvesting totems. So... just let me know if we can help somehow when the time comes, okay? -She finished, tilting her head, smiling.
Once everyone was ready to depart, Katherine, still holding Jazz in her arms, headed for the exit. The Shimmering Seas had left a bittersweet ending, new friends, some bad guys to defeat and a lot of Shimmering Secrets to unveil.

Renamon was now currently resting on the pillar with Blake by his side. He smiled at her a bit and faded when Katherine left to take care of her digimon.
"Escamon seems to have everything under control." Renamon said to his tamer. "I just wish I didn't overthink about my approach." He said to himself.
Blake looked at him and sat down beside him. "After this, we have to talk." Was all he said before he looked down. "I felt like I almost lost him. My only TRUE friend. Losing him would just make me feel empty." He sulked.
Renamon's left arm gave a pat on the back to Blake as his tamer looked at Ren. "I was aware that you were trying to help me. But, it's too dangerous." was all he said before they heard a thud. It seemed that Torin was defeated by Escamon.
After Torin was down, he started talking about how they were selling totems for bits.As much as he wanted to help, it probably won't happen for a bit with Ren's bruised leg.
When Katherine bowed to the both of them, Renamon gave her a small smile while Blake just looked at her and nodded.
After a minute or two, Renamon managed to get up as his bruised leg didn't hurt as much but, it still ached. He was limping a bit with Blake by his side. As they approached the way out of the temple, Ren thought about something. "I could never ask for a better partner."

They... they did it! Finally seeing that bull Digimon fall to his knees - and even better, relent to their employer - Syre looked on with a grin through her fangs. The BlackGatomon staggered and fell back, sitting down as she caught her breath. This was a lot different than simply practicing back at the Library. Only now did her fatigue actually catch up to her, the adrenaline slowly slipping out of her system. But overall, it went well!
... Well enough, anyway. Seeing Jazz collapsed in Catherine's arm, the BlackGatomon looked away for a moment. "... Sorry for getting in the way of that. Just... locked by eyes too hard on an opening, I guess." Well, it all worked out - and it seemed that the Minotaurmon's excursion was only the start of it. Someone was harvesting spirit totems? With what she knew from Amelie back at the club, well, that sounded horrible in itself! Unfortunately, they would have to dig into that later. For now?
Nodding to the Lunamon, Syre got back up to her feet. "Just winded here - help out the others if they need it..."
