The fight was starting to get interesting, if anything! Now that the strategy was actually brewing, it seemed like this was going to be an interesting match. It was true that Siftermon had been a bit careless with her attacks until very recently, but that was probably due to a small amount of excitement that beating a not-so-true piece of itself to a pulp made it feel.
Shoutmon and Rinji were doing a pretty good job at teaming up on the opposing Shoutmon and Scolomon, which left Amelie to weather a copied attack that was mostly sound-base. Sure, the waves could get behind her new armor, but that also meant that her attack would also affect her enemy in full.
Thus, her coloration changed for a slight moment, a bit of a confused image projecting onto the digimon's body before the attack hit. Yeah, this was kinda buying the other two time, but... they seemed to be handling themselves pretty well, at least in outwardly! As far as she was aware of, things were going quite well; hopefully, they'd keep on like that. —Siftermon is using Reality Hemorrhage before the Bellow Blaster hits. You probs know more than what it does.
—Siftermon recovers a bit of health due to Reprocess.
—Chrome Digizoid Armor's remaining duration: 2 posts.

Tea, huh? If the clone had more than a moment to try and cut through that wave of fire, he might have had a quip back to his doppelganger - but, alas, he had already dedicated himself to this approach. Skidding across the low-friction surface of the mirror, he converted his defensive roll into an aggressive one, intent on barrelling right into the insect. However, he couldn't exactly see in this state - and though Rinji would likely take a pretty hefty hit to his side, the clone indeed popped up right into the air...
Hey, who said that the shadow wasn't a real Shoutmon?! But in any case, the clone had managed to drive his microphone straight into his chest. With his ears still ringing, he simply gave a chuckle as he was called a 'jerkhole'. "Man, your insults aren't even good! You have every short joke, every rocker joke, and every machine joke at your doorstep, and you go with that? How am I supposed to take... this... se-ri-ous-ly?!"
BOOM! Right at that, the Shoutmon - barely managing to even take a step out of the way - found the clone Scolomon strike heavily into his side! He was easily blown back a few feet, landing heavily on his back, taking a few moments to struggle back up. "Oh, lovely day..."
"Sorry... and what are you trying to do?" Oh, that was a confident tone: looking right down at the red Shoutmon, the insect seemed to give a grin - his entire body soon surging with the power of Archaic Lightning. Sure, that microphone would hit - but in retaliation to having struck that armored chitin, a powerful electric current would flow right out, quite easily able to shock the metallic dragon, and possibly even short out the microphone itself.
And unlike Rinji, Shoutmon didn't have a direct way to buffer the current!
The battle might have been 'fun' for now, but between the two speechless amalgamations, it would be a bit difficult to tell the status of the fight between them. After all, any serious blow could be thrown towards the opponent with a 'Reality Hemorrhage, that very feeling causing the very caster to twist with pain on the spot. This was a tricky spirit to muster - and it didn't feel like one meant for a direct confrontation.
Perhaps the clone thought this through, and tried to do something different: its neck snapped to attention, looking right in Amelie's direction, a red pulse of light surrounding the spirit's body. Should this 'connect', Amelie might feel herself caught in an unfamiliar sensation - after all, it was different to be the 'target' of a technique than the 'caster', right? But within, the color of the world around would start to flex, reds blending into blues and greens blending into yellows, everything twisting around once...
... Until it all fell to gray. No faces, only shapes, motion, aggression surrounding everything... would she be able to wrestle free? Or would she be lost to her own spell. Log:
Shoutmon could not act due to being staggered! Scolomon uses Archaic Lightning! Siftermon uses Whispers of Madness!

When Rinji's opponent went rolling towards the intended destination and smack dab into the monochrome dragon, he couldn't help but give the smallest uncharacteristic grin of pleasure. It still hurt like a bowling ball to the head and back, but he'd never done anything quite like that.
Any remaining feelings of victory were quickly swept aside when he realised what his clone was about to do to the ally Shoutmon. The minute way his body shifted position; the tiniest evidence of muscle-twitches. Muscle twitches that generated powerful electric currents.
'Shoutmon!' He wanted to yell in panic, although it was surely too late to do much for the petite red dragon. Maybe this was why he looked around frantically. Wasn't there something else he could do to help in this fight? Heck, he didn't even know what they were fighting for any more.
Suddenly, upon seeing that Amelie was still going with her spirit, he was hit with a second wind. An idea! Simple but effective enough, and maybe just a little ruthless. So without a word (because surely that'd alert the clone to his attack), he rolled into a ball after him and went careening forwards. It was a hit and run manoeuvre: smash into the clone Shoutmon while he was staggered, so he'd fall right into the electrocution path of his real counterpart. Then afterwards, continue rolling out of the way.
Of course, by then the real counterpart would've already been shocked for a few seconds, but it was worth it to try and hurt the clone and maybe mitigate the damage to the real Shoutmon.
Rinji uses Red Roll-Out to knock the clone Shoutmon into his real counterpart in an attempt to electrocute him.

Alright, everything was going according to plan: the clone Scolomon had just clashed into the clone Shoutmon, leaving the former exposed to a surprise attack! However, clone Scolomon knew what he was going to do, and immediately charged himself with electricity...
Luckily, Rinji saw what was going on, and he used Roll-Out to knock the shadow Shoutmon into the real one, and although there was a second of being shocked, ultimately he got knocked out of the way so it wasn't too bad. However, Shoutmon didn't know that Rinji was the one who started it, so he assumed that his clone intentionally hit him away. Combined with the insults from earlier, something inside Shoutmon snapped. Angrily, he got up and slowly walked toward his clone.
"You want jokes? I've got jokes..." Shoutmon said threateningly, "oh, I've got jokes... for example, I've seen little pieces of rice that are taller than you!" As soon as Shoutmon would say that, he'd smack his clone in the face with his mic.
"You think you make good music? I've heard better sounds come from my armpit!" Another smack at the face.
"You know how much noise an airplane engine makes? IT'S STILL QUIETER THAN YOU!"
And this is where a whole new side of Shoutmon would be shown. Anyone just walking in would now say that Shoutmon looked more akin to a demon than anything as he bashed in his clone's face senselessly, intending on killing it in the most brutal way possible.
"YOU (beep)ING PIECE OF (beep) I WILL (beep)ING KILL YOU, YOU (beep) (beep) (beep) (beep) (beep) (beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep)"

In all honesty, the situation at hand was definitely more complex than what Siftermon would likely ever admit. Maybe it was an inherent flaw of the digimon's abilities. A simple one; the direct angles of attack it had at its disposition were few, and that was to say the last. And, above all, there was a being that was as annoying —if not more— due access to its own abilities. That led the aberration to think about a simple conclusion; if it depended on them, the fight would drag on and on, which meant... Shoutmon and Rinji were the real protagonists in here. That, however, didn't make the dance at hand any less dangerous; it was a bit terrifying to know exactly what its foe was capable of, especially when avoiding every attack wasn't an option. It knew what was coming; and as the pulse of light engulfed her body, Siftermon felt its mind reverting to a more primal state of being, coherent thought rapidly being replaced by violence. Immediately afterward, right after a short, shriek-like sound, a geometric shape began to draw across the battlefield; anyone caught within its radius would feel the eerie influence restraining their thoughts and dampening their abilities.

If nothing else, the original Shoutmon's... 'shouting match' would certainly draw the attention of his clone. Dazed briefly from his contact with the original - and definitely worse for wear after being hit by what felt like a truck - the shadow gave a blink, and rose his microphone to catch the hit of the red dragon's.
Sheesh, who flipped his switch? Stepping back, the copy matched Shoutmon's 'swings' blow for blow, the metallic ring of both microphones carrying through the mirrored hall. Gritting his teeth, he seemed to be on the back foot for several seconds - able to divert the hits, yes, but the red dragon was putting a lot into those blows. But what could one say against all those insults, especially that swear fest at the end?
At a point when a microphone was in front of his jaw, the clone countered:
"SHUT UP!"
The echoed pulse of a 'Bellow Blaster' would be created at point-blank range - and likely with enough force to throw the original far backwards! "Ugh, I hate performance saboteurs..." Unlike the Shoutmon, the immediate effect of Otherworldly Sigil would actually have an effect on the two scorpions - feeling what felt like a 'tingle' flow through his shell, the fake shook off the sensation, its armor seeming to lose a bit of rigidity, and its antennae dropping against the floor.
Either way, it seemed that Rinji was the sort of type to care more about his allies than the fight at hand? Feeling both Shoutmon briefly against his shell, the Scolomon gave a chuckle: "You sure you can afford that?" At that same note, a number of red 'bits' of energy appeared around him - before being thrust and shot right up, attempting to slam into Amelie from her apparent blind spot!
Amelie would have certainly changed up the battlefield for both sides - but it provided just the opening that her opponent needed. The shadow warped, feeling quite the bit of information leave - but she had everything she needed already. Once more, an appendage copied that of a microphone, the copied Delerium slowly approaching, before shouting right into the mic.
That deafening sound would ring out, concentrated right around Amelie's addled frame. Would the additional sound drive her further mad, or was she already starting to make sense of her new 'world'? Just like Amelie, the clone was endlessly curious, wondering just how much she could pick apart from this...

Alright, reality check: Shoutmon had officially lost it, a giant foreign letter was being drawn in the ground. For a start, he'd seen that symbol before. As one of Amelie's closest friends, he knew it was bad news.
With limited space and without sufficient time to react, it enveloped him. Suddenly, he became all too aware of exactly how his abilities worked. Every single detail and step required. At that point he knew if he were to try and actually use them, he'd be entirely unable to.
It was a strange paradox of knowledge, in the same way that walking was a subconscious process. He was sure that if he were asked how he walked, and had to think of how to move every individual leg, he'd never be able to walk again.
With his abilities crippled, he watched his counterpart mock and turn to attack one of the aberrations. Amelie.
Rinji bristled. The centipede was overprotective to a fault, but his composure battled it out and reigned it in. Losing his cool wasn't the solution. No... in the midst of a fight, he needed serenity. The ability to remain calm. And in a way, he had it.
"Trying to bait me, huh?" He asked, almost as darkly as his own clone. The insect digimon had seen what the other clone had done to Shoutmon. Truthfully, he wanted to leap into the line of fire. To save his best friend. Or even to savagely beat his own clone. But his mind won out against his heart.
The centipede shook his head dismissively; he didn't even look at Amelie. Without a word, he turned to the clone Shoutmon and prepared himself. Truth was, the girl's spirits were tough. They could survive a hit like that.
Rinji wandered up behind the Shoutmon clone. "That was in bad taste. I could've thought of a hundred better things to say," he commented calmly to it. One second afterwards and a crack of electricity penetrated the air, right towards the clone.
Despite this forthright attack, the centipede kept his own clone in his peripherals. What would he do?
Not to mention he was really hoping that Shoutmon would get the idea and help him.
Rinji used Archaic Lightning on the clone Shoutmon. Rinji has lost Singeing Shock and Red Roll-Out.

"Shoutmon, I think you should calm down," Adrian yelled from a few feet away, worried about the mental state of his partner.
"How about you shut it?!" Shoutmon snapped back at Adrian, before his clone launched another Bellow Blaster which made Shoutmon fly backwards quite a long ways, but managed to regain his footing as he slid on the ground.
"None of this is working..." Adrian muttered to himself. "If we Digivolve, the clone could simply Digivolve as well! We have no way of knowing!" Then, it came to him:
This clone couldn't predict moves that Shoutmon didn't NORMALLY have, could he?
With this in mind, Adrian reached into his card holder and pulled out a Hawkmon card. "Try this on for size!" He would then slash the card with his D-Arc.
"DIGI-MODIFY! Feather Strike activate!"
And with that, Shoutmon started to glow with power as he jumped right up into the air, firing three feather-shaped projectiles, one at the Scolomon clone and two at the Shoutmon clone.
(Shoutmon uses Feather Strike - 4 Card uses remaining)

Red. Everything in Siftermon's perception was red. The two Scolomons, the two Shoutmons and even the mirror image mocking her movements. Yet, one thing was clear as a sunny day. It was being attacked by two beings; by two... enemies.
Sinewy appendages tensed, hostility being the default response to such an act. Reciprocate violence with violence multiplied; her senses jumped into action in an instinctual reaction, her body directly shuffling in the Scolomon's direction, proceeding to pounce into him with the most distilled primal hate, not caring at all at the attack thrown in her way. Evading was a waste of time when engaging the object of her hatred, even if a second measure of protection would take care of her clone's attack.
Why that Scolomon in particular? There was something on that shape that the aberration just despised, coupled with the fact that it just had attacked him, and it wasn't like the digimon needed a lot of reasons, anyway.
Getting through the electrical bolt, one of the Siftermon's limbs changed shapes into a sharp stake while a burst of flames emanated from it. Its intent was clear; skewer the offending digimon with a flaming, living spear.
If the attack hit, of course. —Siftermon is slashed Mirror Shield in order to reflect her clone's Bellow Blaster.

With one loud blast and the original blown away, the cloned dragon gave a relieved sigh, stretching out his back. "... Heckler! HECKLER was the word I was looking for, damn!" Somehow, the clone seemed more bothered by that than anything else, so much so that he hadn't even made an effort to try and approach the fallen counterpart, giving Adrian enough time to give that card slash.
Feather Strike, eh? It was true, the clone had no ability to use cards, but it didn't mean that the Shoutmon's ears weren't working. If these were just feathers, the dragon could already handle it: with a grin, he raised a hand, throwing a Fiery Fastball towards his adversary. The feathers themselves would be burnt to a crisp as the attack carried through to the red dragon!
As for the Scolomon? "Hm? Well, I have to admit its not my best work - oooooh noooooo." Turning to see the insect tower over him, the Shoutmon managed a mere step back - only to find that sudden jolt of lightning race through! His joints clicked and jumped as he yelled out in pain, trying desperately to endure the current!
Amelie knew herself perhaps a touch too well: even in her maddened state, she managed to make due simply by following the sensation of touch and pain. If she couldn't tell enemies from allies, then she'd just have to 'teach herself again', after all: the cloned Delirium twisted in place by its own attack.
However, it wasn't as if the situation had changed: with Amelie's attention drawn towards the Scolomon, the clone once more let out a Bellow Blaster, right after she had taken the damage of Scarlet Rain It seemed like the clones, as a whole, had decided to take out the 'annoyance' of the group first.
Even down below, the cloned insect pressed on, once more using a 'Scarlet Rain' to send a continued barrage of lasers up towards the spirit. That effort was met with a counter, the champion letting forth a blazing appendage - one that earned an awkward sidestep from the insect, finding himself both tipped from the side by a feather, and skewered through the flank by a flaming spear, the insect roaring out in pain!
But it was worth it - so long as they could get that spirit wielder down, the clones could collapse over the rest of the fight!
Log:
Cloned Scolomon is struck by Blaze Blast and a feather, and uses Scarlet Rain! Cloned Delirium repeats Bellow Blaster! Cloned Shoutmon uses Fiery Fastball to eliminate the feathers, but is currently stuck in place, electrocuted!

As the last of the lightning fizzled out, a disturbingly satisfied grin found itself on Rinji's face. Getting the upperhand on the dragon... that had felt good. Why didn't he fight more often?
He shook his head. No! What was he thinking? With just the slightest taste of disgust lingering in his psyche, the Scolomon gritted his teeth, leapt a metre backwards and prepared to strike again. In his peripheral vision, he saw that Siftermon was keeping the others busy. Good.
Maybe if he had time to reflect, he would've reprimanded himself for being so heartlessly tactical.
"Shoutmon! Want to see if he can counter two attacks at the same time?" Rinji yelled as he shallowly panted.
Just a second later, and a spray of bullet lasers formed in the air. Half a second afterwards, they came racing directly towards the clone Shoutmon's position. Meanwhile, he kept his own body poised and ready to dodge or defend against any sort of counter that could come his way.
To say the least, he was all fired up.
Rinji used Scarlet Rain on clone Shoutmon.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! EAT SHIT, YOU DIRTBAG!" Shoutmon cruely cheered as he witnessed Rinji roll RIGHT INTO the clone Shoutmon, completely electrocuting him. The way that Shoutmon cheered that scared Adrian a little bit...
Then Rinji asked Shoutmon if he wanted to see if clone could counter two attacks at the same time. Hearing this caused Shoutmon to grin evily. "You bet I do."
Adrian sensed that he was going to attack again. It was risky, but he decided to go for it anyways. Pulling out another card, he slashed it with his D-Arc.
"Digi-Modify! Berserker Protocol activate!"
Suddenly, Shoutmon felt like he just got a huge surge of energy! He felt powerful! Just like that, Shoutmon snapped his fingers on his free, mic-less hand. A music note-shaped fireball began to form in that hand. "Alright, let's do this... Fiery Fastball!"
Shoutmon would then throw that fireball as hard as he could at the clone Shoutmon, at the same time as Rinji used Scarlet Rain on it. He would also do the same as Rinji afterwards, which was to get in a defensive or dodging position afterwards.
(Adrian uses Berserker Protocol, which boosts attack power and lowers defense - 3 card uses remaining) (Shoutmon uses Fiery Fastball on the clone Shoutmon.)

The haze of madness that had enveloped Amelie's psyche was fading after that brutal strike against the Scolomon. It was there when she realized that it was between a rock and a hard place; her charge had been reckless, and that meant a bit of an equal exchange, didn't it? Siftermon receiving what would be grievous damage and probably rendering it unconscious for the rest of the fight in exchange for... the mirrored Scolomon.
It wasn't like she had much of a choice, right? Or maybe, she had. If the aberration had a face, it would definitely show an expression of satisfaction, its body becoming translucent for a second before trying to get another, hopefully lethal strike this time.
Whether it hit or not, that wasn't something that would be known for her. Right after, both attacks coming at her direction hit, leaving the smoldering body of Siftermon on a heap in the ground. Thoughts became fuzzy recollections as consciousness was barely kept.
But that was a small price to pay. Hopefully, the greater victory would be at hand right now.— —The effects of Whispers of Madness have worn off.

"OW OW OW!"
Damn it, that hurt! The cloned Shoutmon protested verbally throughout the Scolomon's attack, at the very least hoping that his continued calling out would prevent him from simply collapsing at the end of this assault - but, alas, no dice. As the current ended, the clone found himself buckling forward, collapsing in a heap.
Granted, the same could be said about the Siftermon, falling towards the ground in a hapless heap. She did manage to focus one more attack towards the copied insect, which put the duplicate Rinji in quite a tough bind. His focus was already drawn upward, and now he had to contest with both of the rookies as well? "Tch, I'm not getting paid enough for this!" Those words were more bluster than anything else, but he had to try something: quickly curling up into his ball, the Scolomon started to spin, setting his focus right on that annoying Shoutmon. The fiery fastball would singe his shell, but the force of the rotation forced most of the flames off to the side. As for the Scarlet Rain, well, each of those shots sank in quite well, but he simply couldn't dodge everything -
- Like that Blaze Blast! Struck in his side, the shadowy insect spun out, no longer rolling directly towards the Shoutmon, but rather hurtling towards him like a demented hockey-puck! It was doubtful the insect was still conscious after that second heavy blow, but that didn't cancel the momentum!
That said, the Blaze Blast looked especially effective. Still floating above, the cloned Delerium set her own sights on Rinji - and, like Amy had done several times before, her arm stretched out with a devastating-looking, burning claw. From that range, it would shoot right down, intent on piercing the Scolomon through the back!
Log:
Cloned Delirium has switched 'Bellow Blaster' for Blaze Blast, and aimed for the Scolomon's flank! Cloned Shoutmon has fallen! Cloned Scolomon uses Red Roll Out, and is subsequently knocked-out by Blaze Blast - leaving himself as a spinning projectile towards the Shoutmon!

A small pained yet smug smile crept its way onto Rinji's face as the explosive impact of both their projectiles hit their mark on the grayscale Shoutmon. A few aching seconds passed until the foe collapsed onto his feet. Rinji almost couldn't believe it. That was one down.
The muscles in his legs just slightly relaxed from the relieved tension. "We... did it," he stated quietly to the Shoutmon still standing. It was a victory short-lived, as the explosive thudding noise of his own clone using Scarlet Rain barraged Siftermon. It was too late to do anything.
"Amelie!" Rinji pleaded. He didn't know his own attack could be that strong...
The Scolomon would've collapsed on his knees, had he had any. Instead, he slumped onto his joints. He'd gotten too wrapped up in taking out the enemy to protect his friend. And now, he would fail again as the out of control rapid-spin clone went hurtling towards Shoutmon.
Exhaustion washed over him. Suddenly, his eyes looked tired, broken and old. He blinked slowly, aware yet not aware of the wave of heat crashing over him from above. Everything went white, then red, and finally black.
From an outsider's perspective, it was simple as seeing a wave of flame encompass the insect. When the obscuring heat dissipated, a charred Scolomon with a somewhat larger fissure running down his back was left splayed onto the glass.
Unconsciously, his mind stirred. The auxiliary intelligence was impaired. Estimated time for restoration?
...Too late. The organic chatter in what was still functioning in his digital mind whirred. It came up with a solution.
As with all imperfect systems, it was half-baked.
Minutes after the successful attack had struck, the fissure on the back of Rinji began to glow red. It shone brilliantly. The glow passed through his insides and leaked from his joints. Even the gaps in his plated carapace were touched by it.
Reflective surfaces flooded the room with red light. From the fading glow, emerged something that was most definitely not a Scolomon. First of all, it was huge. Several meters wide. As for length? Who knew.
The digimon was awake. In fact, it was reared up, staring straight ahead. But something was wrong. Just one look at its eyes said that something was dead about it. No one could say what it, or rather he, was thinking. Perhaps it was nothing at all.
Rinji is hit by Blaze Blast. Rinji falls unconscious for several minutes. Rinji digivolves to regain a state of unpredictable semi-consciousness [Primal Rage].
