Kazuya was happy when he saw the suprisingly strong Jazz circling around Roy, Hitting him twice and knocking him down, assuming that it will do the trick and return his partner back to his loud normal self. the next moment was filled with silence and anticipation because if Roy is not back to normal the situation will be very difficult and if he is back he will lighten the load on everyone there. and lo and behold Roy's eyes were back to their normal golden glory, he noticed his partner looking around, too bad there was no time to explain anything to him, So Kazuya hoped that Roy would atleast figure out enough to do the right thing.
Roy smiled as Jazz blushed a little, she seems like a nice person maybe when they are not surronded by crazy beasts he could get to know her better ? but alas there was no time for him the reunite with his partners as he was thrust into the thick of battle imediately. he was lazer focused up until Jazz called him gallant warrior and winked at him, which was both flaterring and wonderful to hear and made Roy blush, before quickly shaking his head reminding himself of the situation at hand and regaining his focus and keeping an eye on the two champion digimon.
Kazuya then nodded at Kath "I see well, we came in from the west side. Roy said that we should be able to find a digimental egg in here, digimentals egg if you do not know are basically an item that grants a digimon temporary power up allowing them to evolve to a form similar to a champion. But due to my work in the human world, I got tired and took a nap on some tree and well the weird dream happened and after Roy got crazy. Frankly this does not make any sense, unless do you have a knowledge about our situation ?" Kazuya asked katherine as he tried to do multiple things at once, but luckily Jazz was back so he can leave protecting Kath to her, he stopped and turned towards his partner "Stay safe Roy and later lets enjoy a drink together, thats an order" He said with a concerned voice but putting a fake smile for his partner, but then quickly bolting away and catching up with Katherine.
Kazuya listened closely as the two wondered if they went the wrong way or not, as the two of them discussed his mind was busy trying to formulate a plan to return the two champions back to normal as it was clearly possible as Roy is an example for it happening. through his thinking started to be about what is going on (( Wait a minute what does Roy siessamon and Reppamon have in common ? they are all beast digimon ? no that can't be it, since Jazz is a lopmon. And they can't be all champions since Roy is a rookie digimon, so what is it ? think Kazuya. wait I think I got it, they are alk four legged beasts!? No that can't be either, wait they are attribute! Roy said something about food that is bad for vaccine digimon like himself, that could be it.)) Kazuya ran through a lot of possibilities quickly coming up with a convessing conclusion in under 20 seconds "Jazz, I know this might be random but what is your attribute ?" He said, so tense and worked up forgetting to give Katherine and Jazz any context.
Kazuya then was startled by the sound of somethinh coming and whatever it was it is coming quickly, Kazuya stopped as Jazz stood infront of him and Katherine, the wolf looked confused at the precense of humans, Kazuya then stood infront of the scared katherine in order to be able to protect her if the worst cause scenario happens, but wait there is something different about this digimon, he has normal pupils and can talk two traits that mad Roy, Siessamon and probably Repamon did not have "Wait a minute guys, I think this digimon is a good one. Allow me to introduce myself my name is Kazuya and we came here in peace, infact as we speak right now my friend is saving us from two rampaging digimon who have gone out of their minds and we are in a hurry to the inn nearby, please Mr Wolf lend us your help. " Kazuya desperate and afraid, asked for help fron the wolf after all his partner is now participating in what is known as a losing battle with 0.00% of victory.
((Wow she winked at me, she is really cute maybe once we make it out of this I should ask her out for a cup of coffee or no a fancy restruant, nah thats a little much a cup of coffee it is. maybe then I can ask her what her favourite movie genre and then buy tickets ? yeah that sounds oh wait Reppamon is doing something.....crap baskets)) Roy thought as his moment of distraction cost him dearly, but everything was not lost yet as the Siessamon clearly intended to rush him down, Roy prepared to dodge.
And as he predicted the siessamo leaped on him with an electricly charged body, luckily the attack was clumsy and left alot to be desired. Roy swiftly jumped backwards before quickly changing gears once again and rushing the Siessamon again jumping on top of his before using all his might to leap oncw again much higher and grabbing hold of a tree branch, quickly adjusting himself on it. "Ha! nice try suckers, but you are not getting me that easily. Man and reppamon set up a perfect opurtunity for you Siessamon too bad you cant hear me and I am now talking to myself, ah well soon I will talk to you guys later, when you guys get back to your sense for now I will attack you mercilessly" He said as he made his sword glow with blue flame and throwing his projectile from the top of the tree once again this time aimed at the siessamon, cause Reppamon is a harder target to hit.

-An inn… nearby? –The wolf asked with a confused countenance. He had a deep, mature voice, but most importantly, as Kazuya had noticed first, didn’t seem potentially possessed and willing to kill them. He was around Siessamon’s height: around 3 ft. taller than Katherine. -He’s a Black Garurumon. –Jazz analyzed the digimon, carefully . -I think you’re right! He’s not possesed! –The bunny took some steps towards the creature. Finally, a digimon inside the forest who wasn’t acting aggressively towards them. Katherine thought about trying to get some explanations from the beast for a moment, but right now, helping Roy was the top priority. - Yes! Please, Mr. Black, a friend of us needs help. –The girl nodded, reaffirming Kazuya’s request. -My name is Kiriha. –The wolf spoke again, still looking at the group, pretty surprised. –W-what the hell are you doing inside this forest? –He asked. -There’s no time for that! Our friend needs help, please! –Jazz exclaimed, jumping desperately. –We’ll have time for explanations later!-Oh, right. –Kiriha took his glance away from the group. -So you’re saying there’s someone else inside this forest who’s not under the spell? –He lowered his head to think. -Spell? –The bunny’s ears perked up. -That’s amazing. But… how? –Kiriha mumbled. Suddenly, some sort of movement could be heard coming from the branches of the trees around them, making the group turn. Horrified, Katherine and Jazz could see shadowed figures, they couldn’t quite identify what type of digimon they were, but they seemed prepared to attack. –M-more of them!? –The girl asked stuttering, scared. -We need to get out of here. –Kiriha took a sitting stance, took some breath and, pointing to the moon with his snout, he released a loud, high pitched howl. Maybe it was because they were so close to him it was deafening, but it felt like the howling could be heard across the whole forest. -I promise your partner is going to be fine, but we need to leave, now! -The creature changed his position to a running stance. –Everyone, hop in. –He added, firmly. Katherine tried to climb the wolf to ride him but almost fell to the ground instead. She was too short to accomplish such thing, apparently. She looked at Kazuya, blushing and asking for help with her gaze. Once everyone were on his back, Kiriha would start running through the forest, Jazz being in front of the two humans over the beast, followed by Kazuya and then Katherine. At first, the girl would try to hold tight to the creature’s fur, but after almost falling due to the speed the creature would reach, she would wrap her arms around Kazuya for better gripping. –I’m sorry, I’m going to fall if I don’t do this. –The girl said in a high tone, closing her eyes. The wolf didn’t move straightly, but his movements were sort of erratic, taking turns every certain time. At first, Jazz thought this would lead them to the same place where they began, but the wolf seemed to know what he was doing: for the first time, they felt like they were advancing somehow through the forest, and not running in circles. After around two minutes of running, Kiriha stopped. Katherine opened her eyes, quickly loosening up Kazuya from her arms, and hopping to the ground. There was a small cave in front of them. -You’ll be safe here. –Kiriha stated. –I know you want to go looking for your friend, but trust me, he will reach us.
-Thanks, Mr. Black. –Katherine replied. -Kiriha! –Jazz hopped down from the wolf too. –How’d you managed to move through the forest like that? You were moving weirdly, but you knew where you were going.-During the night, even our perception of the woods becomes an illusion. Trust me, it has taken me some time to even decipher that puzzle. –Kiriha explained. -Oh, right, Oda! –Katherine turned towards the raven haired man. –You asked Jazz about her attribute earlier, right? -I’m a data attribute digimon. –The bunny nodded. –Why do you ask? Did you reach something? -You also mentioned something about how you and Roy were looking for a digimental, right? –Katherine kept addressing Kazuya. The girl nodded, taking out her digivice. –That’s… one of these, right? –Putting the gadget screen-up and touching some buttons, the white digimental Katherine had found at Terabyte Mountain materialized in a hologram. –This one allows Jazz to evolve into Moosemon. –The girl explained. Jazz then looked down below, thinking. –Are you sure our friend is going to be able to get here safely, Kiriha?-Do not worry, Lopmon. I trust she will make sure your friend gets here, no matter what. –Kiriha replied. -She? –Jazz tilted her head.
Angered by Roy's speed to dodge his attack, Siessamon ran aggressively towards the tree the Spadamon had chosen to land on. The Reppamons on the circle that were exactly at the area Siessamon was going through running, disappeared, to open the way for the golden Digimon. The creature's tackle made the whole tree tremble, trying to destabilize the lion warrior. The slam was followed by another one, and yet another one, trying to take the tree down. Suddenly, one of the Reppamon ran towards the center of the circle previously made, where Siessamon and Royland were standing before. The multiple Reppamons forming the figure started to run towards the one standing at the center merging with her. For every Reppamon that fused into her, the center Reppamon started growing a little bit. Once all the Reppamons had fused into the one, the creature was around twice the size the tree Roy was at. She made a quick head movement, releasing a slash of energy that went straight against the stem, cutting the whole thing in half. The two beasts started closing in Royland; the giant Reppamon and the vicious Siessamon were becoming more dangerous by the minute. When they growled, prepared to launch another attack, a gigantic figure appeared before Roy, standing between the beasts and him. It was a sort of giant dragon made of fire. -J a e n r y u!
A voice spoke behind Royland, walking towards the scene. It was a purple nine-tailed fox with feminine characteristics and fire coming from the tips of her tails. The creature let go a huge yawn and started speaking after. -Ugh, I hate when they don’t let me sleep. –The Youkomon had a delicate, feminine, but extremely lazy tone of voice like she was about to fall asleep at any minute. –I’m very surprised to see there’s a digimon out of the spell inside this forest, they usually die just after they enter. –The fox quickly gazed at Royland. –To be honest, you must be something else to have withstood the attacks from Gong and Zaru. -She then sighed, in a sad manner. –I’m sorry to tell you won’t be able to wake them up, though. Trust me, I tried. –She paused for a couple of seconds –My name is Akane, by the way. –She added, yawning loudly again. Just after Akane finished these words, a loud howling could be heard across the whole forest, she immediately recognized it. -Hmm, retreat time already? –She asked in a low tone, looking up to the moon. –Well… -Akane turned at Royland. –I suppose you don’t want to stay here to die, right? –The fox yawned loudly, once again.

Kazuya was impressed that Jazz could Identify that the digimon they just met was a black garurumon, he has seen a regular Garurumon but never knew there was a variant of that speicies. But this was not the time to be impressed because as of this moment Roy is participating in a un-winable battle with the odds more than just stacked against him, but that does not mean that Kazuya should panic. Kazuya then listened to Kiriha and while most of his conversation with Jazz was normal, one thing he said made him question a possibilty he never ever thought of. What if this was all the work of one person ? No that can't be, Kazuya shaked his head quickly clearing his head out of this idea, insane theory crafting will help no one Right now, especially now that he has one in the oven.
He then nods "Yes the faster we are the better, lets get out of here and think of way to help Roy. " Kazuya said as he about to get on top of the giant wolf, but before he could do that he would see Kath try and fail only to look at him blushing and embarassed, Kazuya would smile before extending a hand to help her off the ground then help her get on top of the wolf "There you go Jasso" This moment helped Kazuya to remember something crucial and its that Katherine is a young girl and he needs to ensure her safety. He then hopped in quickly himself, sitting infront of Her "Hold on tight then." He said to Katherine, he wondered why she did not hold onto him from the get go, if he had to guess he would say it was her pride that stopped her. But ultimately that was not something he needed to know. Kazuya was worried by the erratic movement of the wolf, as he wondered what the destination would look like and he did not expect it to be a cave, once there Kazuya hopped off to the ground. He listened to the Wolf's explanation about how the perception of the woods itself change, it was quite fascinating but unfortunately there was no time for that.
"Huh, Yes. I have a theory and your answer might help prove me right. I was thinking why was Jazz and now Kiriha un-affected by whatever turned Roy and the two champions mad, So I thought about the similarties they had. Firstly they were all beast Digimon but that couldn't be it, since Jazz and Kiriha are also beasts. Second Their level, but Roy is a Rookie and they are not so that was immediatly left out. The only thing remained was their attribute, you know how there are four attributes. Vaccine, Data, Virus and Free, Roy is a Vaccine and he told me about a fruit here that is harmful to Vaccine digimon, so maybe only Vaccine Digimon get affected by this spell, unless you are Vaccine as well Kiriha ?" Kazuya said as he stroked his chin, trying to collect his thoughts and come up with other ideas, since he can't participate in combat he should diticate himself to mystery solving.
"Oh yes, exactly like that. we have been searching for days with no luck so far, but you have it which is good. Jazz is a credible asset in terms of combat, sadly Roy does not have similar fire power but with both of his with wits and experience, he can solve that tough situation" Kazuya said with a confident smile on his face, sure of his partner abilities.
"Wait hold on, She ? do you have a friend who is in the forest ? if so can you give me information about her, infact any information about the whole situation would be great." Kazuya asked as he knew he was trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle while lacking most of the pieces, so he hoped that Kiriha had the necessary pieces to this puzzle.
Royland however realized his mistake a little too late, the champion digimon could easily take down the tree he was at, left with an unstable base Roy came up with a plethora of moves and how The mad Duo can counter them. After seeing that his best option now would be to escape to a much more tree dense area, to gain multiple place where he can hide and avoid the attacks of the champion.
"Oh Cra-" Roy exclaimed before jumping from the tree and landing relativelt far away from the beasts, his landing was smooth after all cats always land on their feet. Roy turned around to observe the movement of the Two before making his daring escape. But something happened a fire dragon appeared out of nowhere and saved him, Roy then heard a voice as he immediately turned to see the person responisble for the dragon.
It was a feminine fox with burning tail, She seemed to have some knowledge about the whole situation. "Trust me, you could scour the world and you won't find another digimon like me. My name is Royland, nice to meet you Akane." Roy said with a cocky smile.
"Well, looks like we have no other option. I can't die and myself over to death and make Lady luck jealous can I now ? Lets go." Roy said as he was prepared to exist the scene with Akane.

Trying to get back into the woods would only lead them to get lost again. It was a dangerous forest plagued with aggressive digimon and, according to Kiriha, the fact that they had survived for that long was completely stunning, so they should remain where they were, and just trust the digimon that, to be honest, saved their lives. Sadly, it didn’t seem like Kiriha knew a lot more than the humans or Jazz.
Since the only thing the group at the cave could do right now was waiting, they decided to listen to Kazuya’s deductions, which were pretty useful.
-That’s amazing! –Kiriha broke the silence after the raven-haired man finished his explanation. –How long have you guys been in this forest? Did you come up with all of that just based on tonight? –The wolf asked the man. He seemed to have reached some conclusions the beast had been unable to reach himself. –I’m a virus attribute digimon. –He then replied to the man’s question. –To be honest, I had considered this has something to do with vaccine attribute digimon, too. But… -He then paused for a moment. –Something doesn’t fit.
-That’s incredible, Mr. Oda. –Katherine said clapping, not too loud. She was actually kind of jealous she wasn’t able to reach that conclusion herself, but in a good way.
-What’s not fitting, Kiriha? –Jazz asked, turning at the beast.
-Have any of you been affected somehow by this spell? –The creature asked the group.
-Oh! Mr. Oda and I met for the first time in some kind of illusion. –The girl replied promptly.
-Illusion? –Jazz asked tilting her head. –So that’s what you were doing while I tried to wake you up? –The bunny’s eyes widened. –That’s where you met Kazuya? –Since the two humans seemed to recognize each other when they met running through the forest, Jazz had been wondering from where did her partner know this guy.
Katherine nodded, firmly. –Yes. We met in some sort of weird illusion inside a dream.
-What did you say? –Kiriha’s ears perked up, him turning at Katherine. -I had one of those too! When this all began… I had an illusion while I slept too. But I then managed to snap out of it. –He then lowered his looks, sadly. –But… Gong and Zaru… they never came back. –He mumbled.
-Okay! So this spell gets into both humans and digimon’s heads while they sleep! –The brunette stated. –But for some reason, vaccine digimon can’t ever wake up from it, while everyone else manages to do it somehow.
-That’s not entirely true since Royland was able to wake up. –Jazz added.
-Sadly, we seem to be missing more information about the matter. –The girl sighed.
While she heard about Kazuya’s quest for his digimental and while she was holding her digivice after showing her artifact to the man, Katherine noticed it was vibrating, softly. It also had a flickering dot on the screen.
-Digi… mental? –Katherine mumbled. Her digivice was acting exactly like when they found that digimental at Terabyte Mountain. Could her digivice be flickering for Kazuya’s digimental?
Kiriha then turned to Kazuya, to answer his questions. –Yes. She’s not only a friend, she’s my sister. –The black wolf nodded. –I think it will be better for everyone to be reunited before we start explaining the little we know, so we should wait for her. –He then raised his gaze to the full moon. –She is the strongest of the five. She’ll get here. I know she’ll know exactly what to do.
-Damn it…
–I don’t know what to do…
-Akane yawned loudly, looking at her surroundings.
After Roy hopped on her back, she had started to run across the forest but had stopped in a clear, uncertain on what to do.
-Agh, I keep forgetting how to move through this woods. It’s a very odd illusion. –Akane seemingly had always the same sleepy voice in every situation, like she had always just woke up. –Let’s see if I can remember… -The sound of Gong the Siessamon and Zaru the Reppamon chasing them through the woods could be heard from there, they were much slower than Akane, but were closing in on them, since the fox had stopped on the clear to think. –Kiriha taught me how to move through these… -The nine tailed fox yawned again, and then maintained silence. Only the sound of the beast getting closer could be heard. Suddenly, Gong and Zaru emerged from the woods, jumping on Royland and Akane. A small fire dragon who had emerged from the fox’s tail appeared in front of the escaping duo and promptly moved to the right, trying to guide them. Akane immediately followed the fire spirit and kept running through the forest, dodging Gong and Zaru's attack.
-Thanks, Jaenryu. You’ve always had the best memory out of the two. –The fox thanked his fire spirit partner, as they kept going. The small fire dragon kept floating and moving through the woods, abruptly taking turns at certain specific points, just like Kiriha did.

Kazuya was happy to hear that his theory was recieved well "Thanks, but we should treat this as just a theory and nothing more. Oh ? whats wrong Kiriha." He then listened to the wolf's input, Kazuya then remembered an important piece of the puzzle that he forgot, the dream he shared with Katherine. What was up with that, while the others were talking about it Kazuya was rubbing his chin thinking about how that would fit with his theory and if they are going to discard his theory for now or not. He kept dwelling on the matter for a couple of minutes. "So all of us are affected, but vaccine digimon are permanentlly affected ? Roy might be a special case, I am not sure if this helps or not but Roy told me has a special code in his body called Heroic Spirit, according to him it weakens negative effects upon his body, like poison and other stuff. his body heals it automatically, in fact he was able to fight this madness spell quite well in the beginning before it taking over him, so maybe thats it ?" Kazuya said, wanted to give the party every piece of information available in order to solve this puzzle.
Kazuya then felt his device flickering, he then took out of his phone and looked at it with a confused experssion "Wait what is this thing doing ? it never acts like that" Kazuya asked the young girl, in all honesty the idea of Katherine being the more experinced one among the two was till funny to him, but it is what it is.
"Your sister !? huh well hopefully, she reaches Roy in time. I really hope that idiot knight is doing well, he might have chewed more than he can swallow." Kazuya said as he looked at the digivice in his hand, the symbol of their bond with a concerned look. While he would never talk about it, Kazuya has no real strong connections in this world, except for his father who passed away, so through his goofy and happy nature Roy managed to win Kazuya over, making it the second real connection he ever had his whole life, the idea of it being in danger disturbed him. Kazuya then looked up to Kiriha "Strongest out of the five ? Five what ?" Kazuya said with a confused look.
"What do you mean you do not know what to do!!? After that cool entrance you should be invincible, you need to read heroic entrance 101 its a fascinating read." Roy said with a seirous tone, if an outsider sees him they would not think he was or rather still in a life or death situation. Roy then let out an audible gasp "What do you mean you do not know how to travese the woods!. I let my guard down cause I thought you had everything covered, I thought we were joking earlier " Roy said as his goofy expression changed as he sensed danger approaching.
Roy then got readied his weapon as he felt the two champions get closer "Don't turn back Akane, charge forward and I will swear to have to your back. I might not be a champion digimon but I can still help." He said as his a brilliant blue flame began to dance around his sword, but thankfully the methods he was prepared to use were not needed as the fire spirit fire from earlier came back and started to guide them through the forest. The movement were eratic and confusing, but Roy had complete faith in Akane. in all honesty all he wanted was to get back to Kazuya to make sure he was fine in this situation. "Umm Akane by the way where are we headed ? cause I want to search for a couple of humans."

As the night went on, the group of Kiriha, Jazz, Kazuya and Katherine, kept talking in front of the small cave the black wolf had brought them to.
-Well, that could explain why Roy was able to wake up, even though being a vaccine digimon, right? –Katherine fixed her jacket, zipping it up. The night was starting to get cold.
-That’s definitely a possibility, but…-Kiriha lowered his view. –I know of some other digimon who have snapped out of the illusion before. I think it’s related to something else. –The wolf’s countenance had turned gloomy. Katherine frowned, trying to think a little more, but then turned at Kazuya to answer his question.
-That’s it! There must be a digimental close enough! –The girl raised her view. -Somewhere inside this forest… -Her eyes then widened. –But then why is mine vibrating too? What’s with this flickering? –To be honest, the girl didn’t have much experience about digivices either, so she could only try to remember what happened when she got her first digimental, as a way of getting somewhere about this odd behavior. –Do you think this might be flickering because of Mr. Oda’s digimental, Jazz?
-I’ve got no clue. –The bunny frowned at her partner’s questioning. –I’ve always thought a digimental is somewhat related to the digimon itself, and shouldn’t work with any other digimon. –And she was right. Amelie did mention that a digimental was strictly attached to a certain digimon and digivice, and another digimon shouldn’t be able to use it.
-So… could it be…?
The girl quickly shook off this thought, as she paid attention to what Kazuya was asking to Kiriha.
‘Five what?’
-The man asked.
-The five sacred beasts, who are supposed to protect this forest. –Before anyone could answer, a soft, sleepy and feminine voice could be heard just behind the group. Akane had arrived with Royland on her back.
-These were the humans you were looking for, right? –The fox addressed her white-pelted friend, as she leaned forward to let him down her back. –I assumed if Riha was calling me back home so soon, he must have found something important.
-Kane! You’re finally back. –Kiriha addressed the Youkomon with a smile. –You sure took your time.
-Well, you know I tend to forget how to move through the forest. –Akane yawned loudly. –Thankfully, I’ve got Jaenryu. –The fox then looked around, detailing Kazuya and Katherine. –Two humans… This is amazing. How did they manage to survive? –The creature, just as Kiriha, seemed pretty impressed about them managing to stay alive during all of this.
-I was just as surprised; humans are fascinating creatures, Kane.
-Kane? Riha? –Jazz tilted her head, confused.
-Oh. –The wolf turned at the bunny. –Our family has always had nicknames for each other. This is my sister, Akane, but we call her Kane. –Again, a sad expression appeared on the wolf’ face. –Or I should say I call her Kane.
-I call Kiriha, Riha. –Akane yawned, slowly walking near a tree and laying quietly.
-Your family? –Katherine tilted her head. –So those beasts who attacked us…?
-They are Gong and Zaru. –Kiriha replied, plainly. –They are also our siblings.
Jazz gasped, horrified. –So those are your brother and sister, trying to kill you. –For the bunny, who had been raised in a family of four, only thinking about Boru, Koru or Roru trying to hurt her, was horrible.
-Trying to kill everyone, actually. –Akane said from her spot near the tree, not sounding too preoccupied, but sleepy.
-That’s right. –Kiriha added, with a much sadder tone.
-How did that happen? –Jazz asked.
-And what is going on inside this forest? –The girl looked around, Kazuya and Royland standing nearby. –Mr. Black, Sir Royland and Akane are here now, I think it’s time for you to tell us everything you know.
-You’re right. –The wolf nodded, while Akane let go another yawn.
-I’m going to lay here, meanwhile, since it’s not a short story. –The fox closed her already squinted eyes, and simply placed her head softly over the ground to sleep.
-Though, this is Jaenryu. -The fire dragon from before, materialized, coming out of the fox's tail. -He's a spirit from this forest who has followed me since I was a baby. And he had lived inside this forest for hundreds of years until he fused with me when I became a Youkomon. -The fox explained. -He has been watching me since I was born, so he can even show you pretty much the whole story.
-Hello, everyone. -Katherine and Jazz stepped back when the dragon spoke. He had a dark, deep voice. -I'm going to tell you the story of the five beastly protectors who once lived inside this forest.

"I see, well that makes thing more difficult. What was it about those two champion digimon that prevents them from waking up ? " Kazuya said, his arms crossed, his eyes closed as he was deep in his thoughts, he felt like the whole thing is within reach. But much to his Kazuya was currently powerless and had no option but to wait for Akane.
Kazuya then turned quickly to Katherine, hoping she has some insight on the whole digimental ordeal. While she certainly was much more knowledgable about that certain topic compared to the still green Kazuya and Royland who never heard of Digimentals in his previous life. But apparently his digimentals was acting strange or was what making his and Katherine's devices act up was even a digimental ? he had no way of knowing what it was now "Well whatever is causing our devices to act up can be tabled for further investigation later, we already have too many things to worry about right now." He said suggesting to wait for the others and regroup quickly before going Digimental hunting.
Kazuya then heard an unfamiliar feminine voice answer his question, that made him turn towards the source of the voice. He saw that it belonged to a Youkumon, on top of her was Royland who was crossing his arms trying to look seirous and cool. Roy then hopped off Akane and rushed towards his partner with a smile on his face "Its good to have you back Roy." Kazuya said in a seirous tone, Roy however had the biggest smirk on his face.
"Ooo what is this I am hearing, were you worried about me ? Aww thats so nice, you do have a heart Kazuya." Roy said chuckling.
"I was not, why would I worry about an idiot knight." Kazuya said.
"HEY! who are you calling an idiot, its Sir Royland you insolent knave." Roy'smirk dissaperead, replaced with an angry frown.
"Yeah, yeah Sir Royland lord of the idiots."
"Oh yeah, well I would rather be a lord of the idiots than be a regular idiot like you." Roy said with a smile on his face.
"Well its a good thing you are back, Partner." Despite their silly banter, those two really created a solid bond, they just show their feelings in an interesting. But the duo's attention was back to the rest of the group, they caught the explanation in the middle luckily they did not miss anything important.
"Oh my god that must be horrible Kane, Riha" Roy said, he acted like an old friend giving out nicknames.
"But, you two are really something. carry that resolve and we are defiently going to find the solution to this mess, after all I do owe Kane" Roy said with a smile on his face, he then remembered something important.
"Hold one second Janey" Roy said as he walked up to Jazz "Human girl, Lopmon. I am want to say something, sorry I raised my weapon against you." He said knowing that probably no one would blame him, but he not only failed to fulfil his duty to protect Kazuya, but was also directly responsible for putting him in danger, but those two helped him right his wrong. "And I thank you for making Sure Kazuya was safe, you have my humble gratitude." His said as he bowed down, his arms to his side. He then got back up and turned to Kane "now go ahead and tell us the story."

Even though the problems didn’t seem to have lowered their number greatly, being all reunited again somehow gave Katherine a positive feeling. She hadn’t met Kazuya and Royland during more than a couple of hours, but somehow she already felt close to them, and feel more calmed when they were all together. Granted, it probably was due to the fact of the dangerous situation lurking on them. The girl smiled as Royland apologized for the inconvenient caused; he was definitely a very educated digimon, with a chivalry attitude. –That’s okay, Sir Royland. I think you already know our names, but we haven’t formally introduced ourselves. –Katherine slightly bowed down. –My name is Katherine Jasso. And this is my partner, Jazz. This actually goes for both, since I haven’t introduced her to Kazuya either. –She pointed at the bunny with a delicate gesture, turning at her, only to found her partner blatantly staring at Royland with glimmering eyes. –I… I… I… -She stuttered, lost for works, apparently, Royland’s display of gallantry had impressed the bunny. -Jazz? –The girl tilted her head. -Oh! Right! –The bunny nodded, recovering her senses. –Nice to meet you two. –She then crossed her arms trying to look cool, Katherine could only assume –I’m glad you’re in one piece, Gallant Warrior, I wouldn’t expect less from you.
-She then smirked, looking at the lion. The group turned at Jaenryu, as he spoke. The dragon twined, forming a circle with his body where some sort of crystalline light appeared, then materializing in some sort of mirror, showing a clear image. The creature was certainly impressive. He then began telling the story, even showing images, which Katherine could assume were taken by his own view. Always watching Akane. The girl then realized, they were seeing fragments of Jaenryu’s memory.
Deep inside the Server Woods, at its eastern part, the five siblings have lived for years. An old legend told by some digimons state that a long, long time ago, a very powerful digimon that used to live here, known as the Wind Warrior, brought them from the Village of the Beginnings, when they were only digieggs. The Wind Warrior had to leave this forest, so she brought them and let me, Jaenryu, in charge of taking care of them so they someday became the ones in charge of protecting this forest, while she was away. They were born, together, they started growing up, together and they learned how to protect this forest: together. The Wind Warrior never came back, and no one knows why, so they have been in charge of protecting this forest and its digimons until the ends of times. That was the Wind Warrior’s will.
Sprinting through the forest, a small Plotmon tried to avoid every branch possible in his way, jumping and running around. -Here I go!! –A dark figure jumped from a nearby tree, falling over Plotmon, both just rolling through the ground laughing non-stop. -Hehe, it’s impossible to win this game against you, you always catch me, Riha! –The Plotmon got up, dusting himself up.
-You can’t run away from the great Kiriha! –The Gazimon replied, hands around his waist, as he smirked haughtily. –You did well this time, though, Gong. –He added, but something had caught his brother’s attention: Their sister, Honozaru the Dorumon, was sitting in front of the lake, with a disheveled look. Meanwhile, Akane the Piyomon, rested on a branch near the top of a nearby tree, fast asleep, as usual. -What’s wrong, Zaru? –Kiriha asked as he and Gong got closer.
-Oh. –The Dorumon turned at his brothers. –Hey, Riha. –Her ears perking up, and then going down, slowly. -I just lost that wooden figure I was working on. -Oh, right, you like to make those dolls with the tree bark you find around. –Gong looked at Honozaru, his eyes widened. -What happened? –Kiriha asked, raising an eyebrow. -I was working on it right here, in front of the lake, and I accidentally dropped it. –The Dorumon sighed in a sad manner. –A Seadramon inside the lake took it, and he’s now playing with it. He comes out now and then, jumping out of the water and then diving again. –Honozaru explained, looking at the lake. –When he does, I think I can still see the doll on his mouth, but the jump is too quick, and he won’t listen to me. Gong’s face wrinkled up, feeling sorry for his sister. –I’m sorry to hear that, Zaru. –Gonkoru always cared for his siblings, he was kind and very thoughtful. He was also the jokester of the group, always making funny pranks and teasing up their brothers and sisters. -It really was my favorite; you know? –Honozaru was very calm, nice and with a very pure heart. She was always quietly working on her wooden dolls and laughing at her sibling’s doings. –Uh? –Her ears perked up, at the sound of the moving water. –I think it’s coming out again! -I’ve got this! –Kiriha stood up front, always willing to help his siblings. The Gazimon’s legs were actually shaking, was he going to be able to pull this off? He didn’t want to let his sister down, a Seadramon was a pretty huge digimon, he could get hurt trying to take the doll off his mouth, or worst, her brother and sister could end up getting hurt. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to gather the courage to do it, Honozaru and Gongkoru looking at him expectantly, Kane fast asleep on top of the tree next to the scene. Suddenly, a figure jumped from a tree, falling right in front of Kiriha.
-Step aside, Rookie. –A cool confident voice told the Gazimon. The fifth brother: Renjiro, the Coronamon, had stood up in front of his brother. –I’ve got this, he turned his looks to the group, with a smile. -What do you mean rookie, Ren!? –Kiriha replied angrily, a clenched fist. –I had this totally under control! –He didn’t. The Seadramon went out the water in a harsh movement, water splashing everywhere. Once he got closer to the highest point of his jump, everyone could see the wooden doll in his mouth. Renjiro then started running forward, jumping just at the edge of the lake, flying through the air in a very stylish manner. When he reached Seadramon’s height, with a quick sidespin he took the wooden figure off his mouth, to then safely land on the other side of the lake. The three siblings looked at the scene completely dumbfounded. Then they broke the silence bursting with a lot of cheering. -That was amazing! -I can’t believe it! -How did you do that? –They all yelled happily as they ran around the lake towards Ren, who gave the doll back to Zaru when they arrived. -It was nothing. –He said with a smirk, giving a thumbs up. Kiriha’s eyes glimmered looking at his brother as he spoke to the others. He was the bravest, coolest and toughest of them all. Always willing to save his siblings from any problem that stood in their way. They all considered Ren the leader. Kiriha admired Ren fondly.
Just like that, with many adventures, the day passed for the five siblings. Being only rookie-levels, laughing, playing and running around the forest, learning how to get food, getting to know the huge amount of digimon who used to live here, and just enjoying life. One thing was for sure, they loved that forest and each other more than anything else. Sadly, things changed, more than they could’ve imagined.
Kiriha, as a Blackgarurumon, ran at full speed through the forest, carrying some fruits on his snout. He then reached a cave, the same where they were standing at while Jaenryu told the story.
-How are they doing? –He asked, approaching Akane, who was now a Youkomon, the beautiful fox digimon sleeping by the tree as the story was told. A big, red lion with armor and a tail lit on fire arrived the scene too. -They still have lots of fever and remain fast asleep. –The fox replied, yawning right after. In a bed of leaves, Gongkoru and Honozaru, were laying.
-I brought the leaves you asked for. –The lion said, a worried countenance on his face. -And I brought the fruit. –Kiriha added. -Thanks; Ren, Riha. –Akane replied. –I should be able to make some tea with this and give them something light to eat, but I need them to wake up. -How did this happen? –Renjiro, the Firamon, asked in a low tone. Kiriha frowned, looking at his sick siblings. –They’re going to be okay, right? -They look pretty bad, but once they wake up, I’ll be able to give them some treatment. The night came and that deadly silence reigned across the forest again. Akane remained awake, taking care of her still asleep brother and sister. Unable to withstand the tiredness, she closed her eyes for a minute, until a very slight sound of movement immediately made her open them wide. In front of her, Gongkoru was standing, completely evolved into a Siesamon. Why would he be evolving if he was sick? She was about to tell him he needed to rest, and even showed a soft smile at first, seeing her brother was finally awake, but then, upon seeing his eyes with no pupils, Akane knew something was wrong. Just behind the Siesamon, she could notice Honozaru had woken up too. A bright light covered his body, making him evolve into Reppamon. Akane knew something was wrong, they had no reason to evolve at the moment, and they kept looking at her with an aggressive gaze. Just when she thought things couldn’t get worse, Kiriha appeared, on her right side.
-Thank god you’re up, Riha. I think something is wrong with Gong and Zaru–The black wolf only let go an aggressive growl. Upon turning at him, Akane eyes widened, the beast’s eyes were also completely blank. –What is going on? –His 3 siblings jumped on her to attack, Akane thought on what to do, but was sort of paralyzed at the sighting, Gong, Zaru and Riha, all attacking at her at the same time. A firewall rose around her, making the beasts step back. -Kane! Are you alright? –Ren’s voice could be heard from her left, coming out of the woods. -Ren! What’s going on? –The fox asked, confused. This all looked like a horrible nightmare to her. Ren quickly ran towards his sister, standing next to her, both covering each other’s back. -I’ve got no clue, but these things are not our siblings. –He replied, firmly. –We need to fight them. -Fight them!? –Akane asked, scared. -We can’t let them like this, can we? They’re under some kind of brain control. –The lion explained. –It’s probably a better idea to bring them back one by one. -He suggested firmly. -Let’s start with Riha, try to raise Gong and Zaru’s attention and lead them away, I’ll deal with him. Kane nodded. After all, Ren was the leader, and she entirely trusted him. –Please, take care, Ren. –The lion nodded, as Akane rose the attention of Gongkoru and Zaru moving her tail and ran away. -Okay, Rookie. –Renjiro smirked, taking a fighting stance, while the brainwashed Kiriha did the same. –Let’s wake you up.
-Jaenryu then left, following me, as he always does. –Akane was up, to finish the story. Jaenryu’s mirror had gone blank, like he had nothing else to show. -So I can’ tell you the rest of the story. When I came back, having lost Gongkoru and Honozaru, who never went back to be the same, I found Kiriha back to normal, but Renjiro was…-He was dead. –Kiriha finished her sister’s sentence. A brutal silence engulfed the scene. Katherine and Jazz’s eyes widened, out of pure shock. Now they knew what had happened to the firth sibling. -I only remember opening my eyes, and seeing him slowly vanishing in front of me… -The wolf lowered his view, his eyes wrinkling up. –I can’t remember anything else due to me being under the spell, but… -He made a brief pause, trying to control his emotions. –He saved me, he brought me back, somehow.-We know what we have to do, we have to go to the Village of the Beginnings and look for Ren’s egg and bring him back here, once he is born, we explain to him who he is and that we are his siblings. –Akane stood up. –All of this happened over a week ago. We have decided to not sleep during this whole time, to avoid being possessed by this spell. Sadly, we haven’t been able to find whoever has caused this yet, much less to free our siblings. They seem to be lost forever.-Every digimon of this side of the forest had left, and the very few that decide to enter, are killed by Gong and Zaru right after, or stay long enough to be controlled. –Kiriha added plainly. –We are in charge of protecting this forest, we can’t leave now, not until we fix this. -Now it all made sense. Kiriha knew it was possible for a digimon besides Royland to come back from the spell, cause he himself came back from it. But the digimon who had accomplished to bring him back was his brother, and he somehow had died in the process.
-There has to be some way! –Katherine promptly said. –You must be able to bring back Gongkoru and Honozaru somehow, and that’s probably finding what caused this.-Something is off, Akane… -Jazz took a step forward. –We can assume this spell only gets to you while you sleep.- That’s right. –The fox nodded. –That’s why it never got me or Ren. We didn't fall sleep that night, and I haven't slept until now.-But why were Gongkoru and Honozaru feeling ill before? What does that have to do with anything? –The bunny asked, tilting her head. -That’s right! –Katherine said, putting her hands together. –We need to take the humans off the equation, since Mr. Oda and I didn't act aggressively, so it's safe to assume the spell works on humans in a different way. Now... -The brunette made a brief pause to gather her thoughts. -If we look at the digimon that had been affected by this spell: Royland, Kiriha, Gongkoru and Honozaru, the main difference between the digimon that had woken up from the spell somehow and the ones that haven’t is…-The fact that the other two were sick before! –Jazz finished her partner’s sentence, getting the point. –Maybe the fact that they were sick before helped the spell to take full control of them.-But what could have gotten two digimon like Gongkoru and Honozaru sick? –Katherine tilted her head, turning at Kazuya, trying to get some help to decipher this. |

Royland smiled at the duo of Katherine and Jazz who seemed like real nice people, and Katherine un ironically called him sir Royland which made him really happy "nice to meet you Lady Jasso and Lady Jazz. " Roy said with a smile on his face, Kazuya never thought about introductions, plus he already knew Jazz's name. Roy then turned towards Jazz who was stutering, their eyes locking for a second as he wondered what is wrong with her. When her partner called for her Jazz returned back to normal, which made him happy. She then called him gallant warrior again, making Roy's cheek turn rose red "hehe, yeah I am glad such a pretty digimon like you has a high expectation of me. " He said as his cheek remained red for a couple of seconds.
Kazuya took notice of this and made a mental note to remind himself to tease Roy when they return home. But now is not the time, as his attention returned towards Janeryu who turned himself into a mirror that reflected his memories. Roy then went back and stood next to his partner as the story began to unfold. The duo watched the story with complete silence, Kazuya analyzed the story trying to find things to either reinforce his theory or even build a new one, he really did not care which he just wanted to solve the countless mysteries that surronded this forest, in order to get himself and Kath out of this situation.
Roy on the other hand looked distant as he witnessed the siblings loving relationship, a relationship he envied but he remembered a group of friends he had and the memories they shared together. While they did not have a familial bond the bond they shared was still strong, so atleast he can somewhat relate to the siblings. The duo then watched as the story continued to unfold, the illness that befell Gong and Zoru was an interesting point Kazuya took note of and decided to bring it up later, but now he continued to watch the story unfold as he listened to siblings try desparetly to help their sick siblings.
But alas alas all of their efforts were in vain, as Gong and Zoru did not get better and soon turned into the first known victim of the maddness spell that Royland also fell for. What was shocking to Roy and Kazuya was that Riha also fell for it, considering the fact that he was not a vaccine digimon Kazuya had to scrap most of his original theory which was a shame as he actually believed that he could have solved the mystery or atleast a big part of it. The story then continued ending with a confortation between Renjiro and a Mad Kirhia. The details of the encounter remained a mystery, the only thing they knew was that once Kiriha regained his concious, Renjiro.......died.
The shock this revelation caused was visible on Kazuya's face as he never even considered the possibilty before hand, "I am.....sorry to hear that Kiriha, Akane." Kazuya's tone was heavy as he did not know what to say in a situation like this. Roy who was more adjusted to such news wanted to chime in and say that Ren can be reborn just like him, but he did not know if Ren had his data absorbed or not, so he stood in silence for a moment before hearing Kane say something similar to what he had in mind "yes, that way we might be able to solve this." He said mainly to encourage the brothers on finding their brother. Kazuya then turned towards Katherine impressed at her and her partners deduction skills "Exactly what I was thinking, but here is the thing without knowing the reason behind the illness all spectulations might as well be useless, wait I think I got it. The fruit !." Kazuya snapped his fingers as he remembered something that bothered him
Roy looked at his partner confused before remembering what he was talking "You mean the delicious fruit that affects Vaccine types, do you think Gong and Zoru ate from it and got sick ? " Roy said scratching his head, thinking about such possibilty. "Huh well that could be one possibilty but would'nt you think they would know about the fruit and its affects ?" Roy thought about that as a possibilty the only reason he knew about the fruit was due to his previous life, he also thought about the possibilty of them consuming the fruit without their knowledge.

Still feeling kind of heartbroken at Jaenryu’s story, the group tried to go on with the deductions, trying to get to the bottom of the matter. They had to keep going, though devastating the story of the siblings was, they could not let that bring their enthusiasm down. Katherine knew this, she knew their frustration must be transformed into the desire of fixing all of this, ending that illusion once and for all, so the siblings could go look for Renjiro’s egg and bring him back to the forest, to live all together again.
-We’re bringing an end to this illusion so you can bring your brother back, Kiriha, Akane. –Jazz nodded, her fist clenched.
-To be honest... –Kiriha turned to the bunny. –If you have survived this long, for one side I would recommend you got out of here as soon as you could, but… -The wolf couldn’t deny they seemed to be a group that could help them to solve this. -…I also think you could be very helpful.
-We wouldn’t leave even if you asked us to. –Katherine shook her head. –Much less now that we know what happened. So if you’ve got any more information about this matter, we would really appreciate it.
-There’s something you probably don’t know. –Akane said. –During the day, Zaru and Gong disappear. We haven’t been able to determine where they go, but it’s like the illusion can’t work during daytime. We have spent every day during this whole week looking for them, thinking about where they might be hiding. –The fox lowered her view, worried. –But we haven’t found them. They only appear again during the night.
-They are also getting more powerful with every night. –Kiriha added. –They have learned to use new techniques, they move faster. You probably noticed you can’t really damage them now.
Katherine frowned, placing her hand on her chin, trying to compile this new data with everything they knew so far. –Well, that only tells me we need to end this as soon as possible. Or they might get too strong.
-Plus, we should finish it before the morning comes, or they will disappear again. –Jazz added, standing next to Katherine.
-If you haven’t found anything while looking for them during a week, that probably means the source of the illusion also disappears during daytime. –Katherine nodded. –So we need to act now.
Back to thinking they were. Kazuya’s conclusion about the fruit raised everyone’s attention.
-That’s right! You mentioned something about that fruit earlier. What were you talking about? –Kiriha asked, turning at Kazuya.
-Didn’t Mr. Modo back at the Inn say something about a certain ingredient that was dangerous to vaccine attribute digimon that was found inside this forest? –Katherine turned at Jazz, her eyes widening.
-M…Mr. Modo? –Kiriha ran inside the cave promptly, like he was looking for something.
-That’s right! –The bunny exclaimed. –Now, what was its name…? –She then grabbed her head, trying to remember.
-Could it be croc? –Jaenryu’s deep voice was heard again. The fire dragon had come out again of Akane’s tail.
-Yes! That’s it! –Katherine said, pointing at the dragon with a smile.
-That… that can’t be. –Jaenryu replied, in a voice tone denoting preoccupation.
-What’s wrong? That’s exactly it, Jaenryu. –Jazz stated. Akane also looked at the dragon spirit confused.
Jaenryu made a brief silence, looking confused. -But… croc hasn’t grown in this forest since… the Wind Warrior used to live here- If the dragon statement wasn't enough to impress everyone, he added what everyone feared of already. -That was...over 300 years ago. –It was the first time they heard Jaenryu’s voice tone sort of broke. Silence engulfed the clear once again.
Kiriha ran from the cave back to the group, carrying a fold of paper in his mouth, with a scared countenance. –I'm afraid that’s not all. –He broke the silence. Great, Katherine thought, more confusing information. Nevertheless, the brunette was not prepared for what Kiriha was about to tell them. –Look at this. -He said, throwing the fold of paper in front of the group, his eyes widening. –Zaru used to collect any kind of antique stuff, between them, old newspapers from even hundreds of years ago. –The wolf explained. -When you mentioned that Inn before, I was surprised, since I have never heard about any kind of inn running on this side of the forest since I was born. I knew I have read about an inn somewhere, though, but couldn't remember where. But now that you mentioned Mr. Modo, I finally remembered this article. -Upon lowering their look, they noticed it was, in fact, a very old newspaper. When she read the front page, Katherine gasped, horrified.
‘Modoki Inn burnt to ashes. Local ModokiBetamon known as Modo died during the incident.’
-What the…!? –Jazz was stunned at the reading. –The thing that your siblings ate only grew in this forest hundreds of years ago, and the inn we were at earlier…
-That can’t be! We talked to Mr. Modo! We even had dinner there! –Katherine yelled, visually upset at the situation. -He even gave us food to take! –The girl said, moving her backpack forward and opening it. Her eyes widened at the sight: The backpack didn’t have any food whatsoever. There was nothing there. The girl started shaking, terrified. Jazz had a scared countenance too.
-Nothing makes sense! –The girl shook her head. –How can we even know what’s real and what’s not anymore!?. –The girl turned at Kazuya, lowering her look, scared. –What’s going on, Mr. Oda? –For the first time that night, the girl felt this forest was finally starting to mess with her head, making her lose the sense of reality. Also, for the first time since a long time inside the Digital World, she began questioning the reality of everything going on around her. What was an illusion? What was real? If she couldn't even differentiate that, they were doom to die inside that forest.

In all honesty a part of Kazuya was scared, scared the he might die in this forest, scared that he might be already dead and this is just one forest induced halucination, and the fact that when combat happens he might be useless did not help the growing sense of unease he felt. But he can't be scared not now, not infront of Kath and Roy who need him right now. Roy then heard Kiriha riddiculous suggestion of them leaving the forest, but he then backed out of it quickly as Kath states her intention which made him smile "Yes thats the spirit Lady Katherine, we should fight together and in this unity we shall overcome this forest. We may have entered this forest as complete strangers but we shall all leave as friends, this my oath to you children of the forest. " Roy said in a stern voice, his shoulder were wide, his body language speaking volumes about his confidence and the look on his bright yellow eyes lets the world know how seirous he is taken.
Which contrasted with Kazuya deep golden eyes, which was often considered Kazuya's most attractive feature, now it looks like dull color of a man unsure of himself in comparision with his own partners eyes. Kazuya then listened to the sibilings explaination, perfect more explanation that basically reinforces the notion of how screwed they really are. But it did help explain something "Oh, so thats why me and Roy explored the forest earlier today and have not run into any digimon that was going crazy." Kazuya added just confirming Akane's statement. He then began rubbing his chin as his eyes were looking to the ground as he dwelled on the matters at hand. Unable to come with a viable answer to the conundrum they found themselves in.
Roy then smilied at Katherine deduction and Jazz fast and steady determination "Very impressive Lady Jazz, Lady Katherine. You two are truly something else. And Kiriha I might not know the situation as well you do but I do have participated in my share of battles. And one of things I learned is that an invincible digimon does not exisit." His thoughts immediately went to his previous glorious leader Dukemon who he thought was invincible but even he was defeated, Kazuya however was suprised to hear about a part Roy's previous, it was always a jigsaw puzzle to him. And he did not want to force Roy to tell him about it. "But there are indeed some digimon with very well hidden weaknesses. So we just gotta try to figure out those weaknesses, in order to stop them from attacking us. And I know it must be tough attacking your own siblings, so Me and Jazz shall take care of that. What do you say Jazz, will you give me the honor of fighting by your side when the time comes ?" He said as he turned towards the lopmon giving her an ever so shining smile with the back side of his sword leaning on his shoulder, striking a silly looking yet confident pose thanks to his expression.
Kazuya then turned to the black wolf "yes a delicious fruit that hurts vaccine artibutes, what was it called coro- no not that, damn it the name is escaping me." Kazuya thought about the name for a second. Roy ofcourse knew what it was and wanted to chime in and say it but Janeryu beated him to the punch. "Yes that!" Exclaimed as Janeryu seems to know about. But what followed was lets say a major shock to Kazuya and Even Roy, croc has not been in this forest for 300 years!!? Roy was confused, he does remember croc from his previous life. Albeit the croc he remembers was from a different area, but still the whole situation confused Roy as he had nothing to explain this mystery. "That cant be, I know croc I am pretty sure I saw it. I am one hundered percent certain." Roy said as he began to panic and lose the sense of reality around him, what was going on ? The food Kath claimed to have was no where to be found.
Kazuya then turned towards Kath only to see her become a complete mess, shaking and unable to even maintain proper eye contact with him. Kazuya felt a strange sensation, seeing Kath afraid somehow made him more calm, maybe cause he felt like he needed to be a support for her to lean on. He then put his hands gently on her shoulders "listen to me Jasso and look me in the eyes. We are going to survive through this, all of us. I am not just saying this, we have the goofy yet dependable Roy on our side." Roy frowned at being called goofy "And we have Jazz, Kiriha, Akane and Janeryu with us." Kazuya stopped for a second "We have you, the wonderful Katherine Jasso. You are a strong, smart and reliable girl. I mean it, remember in the dream ? Where you had the guts and great decision making, figured we were in a dream and knew that I was also trapped with you. Without you I would have been still trapped in that dream. So do not be discouraged and remember to always hold your head high. And remember nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself, I bet you can even reach the stars. Now why do not you calm, because I need your help solving this problem. So let us do this together "
Royland felt somewhat touched by Kazuya's speech and turned towards the rest of the group "Alright guys our objective is clear, find the cause of the illusion. Usually I would have said to split up and cover more ground. But we are outnumbered and outmatched, so we need to stick together the enemy may be strong but we our wits, a crazed enemy is bound to make mistakes so stay calm and we can win. " Roy said as he put raised his sword wearing a big grin on his face.

Listening to Roy’s words, Kiriha and Akane nodded in determination. Jazz unavoidably blushed slightly at the silver-pelted digimon’s words, but she knew he was right, the ones fighting Gongkoru and Honozaru must be them. She smiled back at Royland, her heart beating fast. She also couldn’t help but wonder how many battles could have Royland been part of, being only a rookie level digimon. The bunny knew he couldn’t evolve further than that yet because Kazuya had said it earlier. Even though they had a battle where the lion proved a very important set of skills, how strong Royland really was, was still a mystery to her; not even mentioning his past and why did he fight so many battles before. At first, when Kazuya placed his hands on Katherine’s shoulders, the girl had trouble looking into his eyes, still kind of lost at the recent revelations. Maybe it was the fact of reality being altered and she feeling there was nothing she could do about it, maybe it was the fact of she discovering even stuff she lived earlier were not even real, but the bottom line was that Katherine was terrified, and had trouble focusing even in the simplest of things. Her wandering gaze then reached Kazuya’s eyes, and it stopped. The guy had beautiful, golden eyes, that shined even on the darkness of the forest, but more than that, there was something almost tangible at his gaze, determination, trust. If he was even a little scared at all of this, he was not showing it, he was sure of what he was saying, the words coming out of his mouth were sincere, he was sincere. Apart of all that beautiful things he said about her that made her blush, something else caught her attention: he was right, wasn’t he? What brought Katherine to this world was the determination that she could do anything, for once in her life she believed in herself, in her abilities. So was she really going to stop now? She knew this would be a dangerous place, she knew she was risking her life, so was she going to panic and back out because someone was trying to mess with her head? Katherine’s countenance changed completely, she was still scared, of course, but she knew what she had to do, and she was going on with it. Her eyes stopped wrinkling, she used her hands to remove the tears around her cheeks and looked back at Kazuya with the most determined eyes she could afford right now. Katherine Jasso was back, maybe she wasn’t the strongest, the toughest or the bravest; but she was ready to fight. –Jazz… -She said, her gaze lowered, her eyes almost impossible to be seen due to the darkness of the forest. The bunny nodded, knowing what was coming. –We’re going to fight. The girl took out her digivice. A R M O R E V O L U T I O N.
A beam of light engulfed the bunny’s body when it cleared, she had become a white a blue stripped creature, with huge antlers and red eyes. Moosemon had appeared. -It can’t be… -Kiriha and Akane had never seen a digimon evolve due to a human’s influence, so it was something indeed shocking to them. The Black Garurumon stared at Jazz’s new form. -So this is the power a human can lend to a digimon… -Akane mumbled. Katherine turned at the two siblings and Jaenryu. –I think I know what’s causing this already. The evidence we’ve seen so far seem conclusive.The two beasts’ eyes widened. –What? What is it? –Kiriha asked promptly. -It’s a Zoid Gem. –She answered, plainly. –Given the very mysterious powers it holds, the capability of acting over such a wide area and how it needs resting time to apply his powers… -The girl could relate all of this to all the other gems they had found so far. Especially the Ocher and Lazuli Zoid gem. They held a mythical power that needed a cooling off time. Plus, based on the set of powers they had seen so far the gems had, they hadn’t seen any that could mess with reality, so a lot of things pointed to the fact of all of this was a Zoid Gem acting. -A Zoid… Gem? –Jaenryu asked, shocked. Kiriha and Akane turned at the spirit, confused. -What’s a Zoid Gem, Jaenryu? –Akane asked, slightly tilting her head. -That can’t be. Is that legend even real? –The dragon seemed to know about the legend but was extremely shocked by Katherine mentioning it. –How do you know about this?-Well… -Jazz mumbled. There probably wasn’t an easy way to say this so Katherine was just going to say it. The girl moved her backpack forward again, opening it and showing it to the spirit dragon. Inside of it, three beautiful, shiny gems rested. One of a strong yellow color, the other blue as the sky and the last one complete transparent. –I… kind of have... three. –She said, without taking the determined look off her face, even though the whole situation was kind of funny. Jazz chuckled at imaging Jaenryu, an ancient spirit who had lived his whole life without knowing if such legend was actually real to then find out it is, and that a human girl already owns three. -YOU WHAT!? –The spirit around Akane yelled shocked. -We’re gathering them in order to get to the Drum Sanctuary, as the legend stated. –Katherine replied, firmly. – We want to release the Ancient Sage so he answers some questions to us. –The girl explained, as she talked, Jaenryu only stared blatantly at her, completely shocked. -Who is… this girl? –He mumbled, almost inaudibly. -Can you explain what are you two talking about? –Kiriha asked, confused. -I will tell you the full story later. For now, you must know they are powerful, mythic gems. –The spirit replied. –To be honest, I had considered this could be a Zoid Gem on the run, but since I didn’t know if the legend was real, I couldn’t confirm or deny it. But now… I’m with you, Mr. Jasso, I think this must definitely be a Zoid Gem.-You think so too, right? –Katherine asked. The girl could feel how she had earnt Jaenryu’s admiration. It hadn’t been an easy trip up to that point, she managing to collect the three gems had almost cost her life in multiple occasion, but the respect of an ancient spirit was a very good reward. Jazz then turned at Royland. -I think Royland is right, wherever we're going, we must go together. –The moose stated. –But where are we going?
Katherine then stopped to think about it, deeply. Was there something they were missing? Where could they start looking? -There must be some sort of information that could help us think where to look. –Akane said, reflective. –I don’t know if I could be of much help about this since I haven’t been inside of any kind of illusion coming from this gem myself.
Something clicked inside of Katherine. It was true, maybe something about the illusion could help them get to who was behind all of this. Sadly, now that time had passed, like a dream, she had started to forget things about such illusion. Katherine started to think as hard as she could. She needed to remember something, there must be something she was forgetting about. The gem… the illusion… the siblings… croc.
…Croc! That fruit…
…inside the illusion, they ate croc, someone gave croc to them…
…was it Mr. Modo? No… someone else… someone…
-THE EGG! –The girl yelled, her eyes widening. Jazz’s shock countenance denoted she had remembered now too. -That’s right! –She shouted. –The Digitamamon! –The moose then frowned. –What was his name?
-VOID! –That was right. –When I was inside the illusion with Mr. Oda, the only face I could actually distinguish was his! Because the memories of my classmates are not important to me, so whoever did this illusion couldn't use them, since they aren't clear inside my head. I could only see Mr. Oda because he was inside the illusion with me! -The girl continued. -It's safe to say that, when the gem creates an illusion, it can only use people from our memories that we clearly remember or people who are inside the same illusion as well. -The girl then made a pause to clarify her point. -I had never seen Mr. Oda before, but I could see his face inside the dream because he was inside the same illusion. –The brunette started to explain. –Neither Jazz or I had ever seen Mr. Modo or Void before, so they weren’t inside our memories; they were inside the illusion! They are alive!–The girl raised her voice, finally having reached a conclusion. Kiriha eyes widened, he opened up the newspaper on the ground with his paw. –Look at this, Katherine! –The news about the incident inside the Mr. Modo inn could be read. In the lower part, a final statement was shown. 'A certain digimon who worked for Mr. Modo as a sower of different fruits, chef, and assistant has disappeared after the incident and is nowhere to be seen. He wasn’t seen inside the building when the fire took place, according to witnesses.'-That has to be void... -Jazz said.
-Jaenryu… -Katherine addressed the dragon, firmly, still looking at the newspaper. –Do you know how to get to Modoki Inn? –She asked. Jaenryu nodded. |

Roy smiled towards the blushing little bunny digimon, while they were not really in a place where they could things slow Roy did found something kind of alluring about Jazz, it was indiscribable but for some reason he wanted to get to know her better. But admittedly this was neither the time nor place to do so, but once this is all over Roy might go and try to charm hee like he does with a lot of digimon ? No that felt wrong, it was not that simple was it, Roy then shook these thoughts before they start occupying his mind after all he was apparently the most experinced fighter out of the four so he needed to be able take charge if push comes to shove.
Kazuya looked over at Kath as she at first began to struggle to look him in the eyes, but after a moment she did. And as his speech was done Kazuya noticed something, the determined young girl wiped away her tears along with most of her doubt and fear and gave him a confident look that is sharp enough to pierce the darkest night, which might be what they needed to get back in the game. Then the young girl called for her partner and announce her will to fight, Kazuya then let go of the girl while wearing a satisfied smile, as he turned towards Jazz. The duo's attention was solely aimed at her, as a light engulfed her body for a moment and what came from was not a bunny anymore but more of a stripped creature resemble a moose. Kazuya was awestruck unable to say a word for a second, Roy however was starring at Jazz with sparkles on his eyes "Woah! Jazz you are so goddamn cool. You could Armor evolve !?, you are amazing. " Roy exclaimed excitedly. Kazuya ears perked "So thats what Armor evolution looks like huh ? Yes if we can get our hands on Roy's that will be helpful indeed." While Kazuya did not mean anything against his feline partner, but Roy could not help but feel weak, while yes he has his experience there is still only so much he could do as a rookie, this could be seen in the lion eyes as it was lowered for a couple of seconds thanks to self doubt.
Kazuya then turned back to Katherine as she stated that she might know what caused this "oh really ?, well go ahead then Katherine." Kazuya was interested in what she has to say, hopefully it will be a good one Kazuya is tired of this forest and wanted to leave. "Zoid gems....?" Kazuya muttered in disbelief, this was not a thing he heard about before. Kazuya stood there completely out of the loop, in fact Zoid gems sounded like something straight out of a fantasy RPG so he wanted to ask about them, but Akane beated him to the punch. The conversation that occured between Katherine and the spirit made Kazuya feel more lost than before, dropping words like legend did not help either. "Hold on just one second you two." Kazuya interrupted the two "So you are telling me not only has an ancient legend been confirmed, you have multiple of these gems. Ok this a bit to take in right now, no time to tell me the story sadly but I would love for you to tell me all about them. Ok so now all we gotta do is search for the fourth gem that is suposedly causing all this ? Alright lets do this then." Kazuya said, even though the Zoid gems sounded weird, he was surronded by a lion knight, a giant wolf and fox and a spirit dragon and last but not least a moose that used to be a little bunny, accepting the Zoid gems won't be hard on him.
Kazuya then rubbed his chin at Katherine's and Jazz's discovery, to think the whole thing was an illusion was a terrifying thought but illusion or not the group were now equipped with the knowledge and extra fire power thanks to Jazz's armour evolution, now all they have to do was to find the inn. "Ok lets do this, Akane I am gonna ask you to give me a lift like last time." He said before hopping on the back of the fox "I am sure you do not mind right buddy ?" Well it was too late he already was sitting on her back at this point.

Even as a Moosemon, Jazz’s main weakness were still compliments. The moose blushed at Royland’s words, lowering her gaze and trying to escape Roy’s. Looking at the pair, Katherine noticed Jazz’s reaction at the lion’s compliments was different from her reaction to pretty much every other compliment, where she would say something like ‘Shut up!’. The girl tilted her head, confused.
-This is… nothing, really. –She replied to Royland. Would this be enough to defeat whoever was using this Zoid Gems to mess with their heads? Or even to withstand Gongkoru and Honozaru’s vicious attacks? A worried countenance took over the digimon’s face, without anyone noticing. Something about that illusion Katherine went through earlier had her worried.
Katherine nodded, looking at Kazuya. –Of course, I’ll tell you everything after this is all over, Mr. Oda. –The man deserved to know everything about Katherine’s adventure, he had been there for her when she needed him the most. If it weren’t for Kazuya and Royland, Katherine and Jazz might be dead right now. To be honest, them meeting inside this forest had saved both of the team’s lives.
Everyone got ready to depart to the inn. Royland hopped on Akane’s back. The fox yawned, as usually. –Of course, hold on tight. –She replied. Jaenryu spoke to the group, right behind Akane. –You must follow me and Akane, I’ll show you how to get to the inn. –The dragon explained. –Please, stick together, no matter what.
-Kazuya. –Kiriha addressed the raven haired man. –Hop in. –He invited, with a slight movement of his head. Katherine hopped in Moosemon, twinning her arms around her neck, to hold in tight. –I think we’re going to move fast, so hold as tight as you can. –Jazz stated. Katherine nodding right after.
-Kath… -She then mumbled. –That illusion you had while you slept… I wasn’t there, was I?
-Huh? –The girl stared at her partner from her back. –Well… no. Why?
-Nevermind. –The moose shook her head.
-I’m glad you’re here for me. –The girl said.
-Couldn’t Royland travel here too, though? –The digimon muttered blushing, Katherine unable to hear it.
-What?
-I mean, do you think he still thinks I look cute, even being in this form? –Again, muttering.
-Jazz, I can’t hear you.
-LET’S GO! –Akane had started to move, being guided by Jaenryu. The group departed to Modoki Inn. While they moved erratically through the forest, following Akane’s movements, Katherine could only wonder what would they find there.
-Protecting a human, caring for them. Is that a way of getting stronger, of gaining new levels of power? –Akane asked Roy, while they ran through the forest, following Jaenryu. –Did you know about this? Did you choose to get close to him to get power, or do you get power to protect him thanks to the sole desire of doing it? –Then, Jaenryu and Akane prepared a plan, alongside Royland.
-I’m sure Royland is glad to have you, Kazuya. –Meanwhile, Kiriha addressed the man riding his back, still chasing Akane from not too far, which honestly wasn’t hard, thanks to the gigantic fire dragon lighting up the forest in front of them. –As we’re set to protect this forest and ourselves, you two are set to protect each other as partners. –The wolf continued. –I must confess to this day I didn’t really understand why digimon had human partners. –Having lived his whole life next to his siblings, Kiriha had trouble understanding why a digimon would need a human, before meeting Katherine and Kazuya. –But I think I get it now, kind of. –The wolf now could relate the bond shared between human and digimon to the bond he shared with his brothers and sisters. –Seeing how worried you were when Royland hadn’t reached us before, I can tell you really care for him and that you humans are not that different from us. –The wolf kept focused on the road. –I really want to thank you all for all your help so far. I can feel that certainly, a decisive battle is coming. –Kiriha then prepared a plan with Kazuya, based on what he thought Akane would like to do. Since he knew his sister very well, he knew what she was planning.
After some minutes that felt like an eternity to Katherine, they noticed Jaenryu stopping at a clear. Jazz reached the place only a few seconds later. Everyone seemed to be in one piece. Jazz, still panting from the running, addressed the dragon. –That made no sense whatsoever! We were moving very oddly and it didn’t seem like we had a proper direction.
-During nighttime, the whole forest changes, like moving through it was some sort of illusion. –The spirit explained. –At first, we didn’t understand how it worked, either. But after some days we discovered a pattern, by paying close attention to the trees. –He continued. –When you see a tree that’s exactly like another one you just saw, you must change your course. Until you find one different, then, when you see that one that’s different repeat again, you change course again.
-That’s… amazing. -The girl replied. -But, for creating such an illusion even around our environment... what is this gem capable of? –Katherine asked herself.
-And does that really work? –Jazz followed, asking Jaenryu.
-You tell me. –The spirit turned to whatever was in the middle of the clear they had reached. At first, the girl and the moose had some trouble recognizing the structure, but then, they noticed; it was Modoki Inn. It had worked. Integrity-wise, the building didn’t look at all like the building they had found that afternoon. It was completely dark and burnt out, the frontal part of the structure was completely destroyed, letting them see the insides from there. The wood seemed rotten and extremely wore off. At the second floor, a green light could be seen. Due to the distance, they couldn’t really detail what it was, but it was shiny and strong.
-Look! –Katherine pointed at the second floor with her index finger. –There’s something there.
-I think you were right, Katherine. –Akane said, in a serious tone. Royland still on his back.
-That could be the gem you mentioned.
-But… they are here too. –Kiriha added, Kazuya still on his back. –I think we need to go. –He made a brief pause. The wind blew through the clear, moving the beast’s fur and Katherine’s hair. –You human's time to fight has come. –As soon as Kiriha ended this sentence, and when turning back at the clear, two beastly figures were standing at around 20 ft. from the group. It was Gongkoru and Honozaru. There was no doubt, this was the place. The fact that they two had appeared here proved it. They had been called by someone to protect whatever was inside the destroyed inn.
-Are you ready, Kane? –Kiriha asked his sibling, standing next to him. He then moved his head backward, trying to remind Kazuya of their plan. Akane nodded.
-As we planned, Royland. –The fox said to the silver pelted digimon on her back.
Without a notice, Akane and Kiriha started running, straight towards Gongkoru and Honozaru. His brainwashed siblings acquiring a fighting stance.
-Huh? –Katherine eyes widened. –What are they doing? They aren’t supposed to fight them. –The girl said, shocked at the movement made by the beasts, while she was still on Jazz’s back. –I think they’re planning something. Come on! –Jazz started running behind her friends too.
At full throttle, the fox and the black wolf kept running towards their siblings, under the full moon that lightened up the whole field. The wind kept blowing, while they got closer to the Siesamon and Reppamon every second. When Kiriha and Akane were about to crash into the duo, Jaenryu came out of Akane’s tail.
-NOW! JUMP! –The Black Garurumon and the Youkomon shouted at the same time. That was the signal for Kazuya and Royland to jump off their backs, Royland attacking one of the two with his best shot, as they planned. Once they had jumped, Jaenryu would turn into a gigantic ball of fire, engulfing both Kiriha and Akane, to then fly with them inside straight at the inn’s second floor. That was the plan, Kazuya and Katherine would fight the former Dorumon and Plotmon, while Kiriha and Akane flew inside Jaenryu, heading straight to the source of the trouble, which seemed to be that shiny green light.
Once Kazuya and Royland had jumped from the beast’s backs and were mid-air unleashing their attack, Katherine would appear passing just between them too, going at full speed over Jazz, who now had a green windy aura around her whole body. She was prepared to use her Angry Stampede technique. –We'll take Gongkoru, Mr. Oda! You two take care of Honozaru please! –The girl said, aiming at the Siesamon.
-I don’t care if the one behind this is Modo, Void or both. –Jazz started speaking, while she ran, straight at the golden beast. –But I’m tired of you all… -The Moosemon slammed the Siesamon with all her strength, the windy aura exploding and launching the enemy into the air, at least 30 ft. into the sky. -…PLAYING WITH MY HEAD!
The battle in front of the burnt out Modoki Inn had begun.

Roy still looked in awe of Jazz's new form, for him this was the first time he laid eyes upon the mysterious armor evolution he had heard tales about it and how it once helped create miracle and defeat a great evil. " Oh you are just being humble, you look strong, I could tell this forms packs quite the punch and is probably fast. Not to mention you still look beautiful." Roy's word were filled with a sincerity of a mon that never lies, thanks to the teaching of an old friend Roy's started to always express his emotions no matter how trivial.
Kazuya turned towards Katherine and gave the young girl a relaxed smile "When we get out of here then" Kazuya voice was filled with a quite determination as if he was sure of his victory, Kazuya honestly is currently shocked and overwhelmed by everything that is happening around him in this forest, but he knew that this was not the time for hesitation, the group needed to act strong and quickly before anything terrible happens or the situation finds a way to get worse. Kazuya then hopped on top of the giant black wolf his posture is more relaxed, as the group departed at high speeds, the initial acceleration took him by suprise as he did not adapt to it yet but he managed to hold on and adjust to the speed. Roy on the other hand felt comfortable, heck this was not close to the top speeds he used to hit in his previous life so it was okay. " Power ? The ultimate goal for us digimon, the will to evolve past our limitations and grow stronger. But is power really worth it ? Is it the only thing we need ? " Roy pondered for a second " I am not interested in power myself, but I do want to portect and help Kazuya, but doing so needs something more than simple strength. Something intagible, but for that we must attempt our journey, a journey of a thousand roads but hopefully the same destination, home. " Roy said his countenance was more seirous than he is usually seen, his voice was heavy telling the tale of sorrow, Roy mind was filled with tales of his past, but he shook them off and thought about ways to help with Kazuya's lonely life style and how to change, Katherine seemed to induce a change in his usually distant partner making him genuinely care for her and he hoped this change in behavouir a will be repeating thing with the tall man with Golden eyes. He then devised a plan with the sleepy fox known as Akane. Kazuya was suprised by the wolfs statement, being at a loss of words for a couple of seconds as the wolf continued to talk about the bond human tamers and their partner share, even going as far as mentioning how Kazuya was worried about his partner when he was late earlier. What bothered Kazuya was not the fact that the wolf had said it, but the fact that it was true whether he liked it or not Kazuya and Roy shared a bond, a strong bond at that something Kazuya would have usually avoide But for some strange reason Kazuya could'nt bring himself to push Roy away, something about that cat felt very inviting maybe its the promise of friendship? But whatever it was, Roy became the first one, well no the second person outside his father to get this close to him. " Thanks, Kiriha. And for all intents and purposes, I am really glad I met you and everyone here, really put things into perspective. Its funny right ? Well after a confusing trip the group finally reached the designated area, while Kazuya wanted to comment on the bizarreness of the trip, but alas Jazz already said what he wanted to say. But suffice to say the duo were amazed at the capabilities of this so called Zoid Gems, no matter what Kazuya and Roy know that a tool with this much should never fall in the wrong hands and they wanted to retrive it. When they looked over they saw the inn, only it was not what they expected it was broken down and a shell of its former self. That did not matter for them what mattered was taking back the gem, as the siblings charged up ahead, the duo were ready to jump on signal. Once they were told the duo jumped, kazuya dove in to the ground to the ground rolling a little bit before finally maintaining to stand up. Roy however jumped high before shooting a blue flame projectile aimed the reppamon's face, before falling down aswell. The reppamon did not get hurt but the attack did cause an annoyance hindering its movement ever so slightly. " Alright then, practice Caution. " that was the only thing Kazuya managed to say to the girl and her rabbit moose. His attention shifted to his digivice that started acting weird and for some reason he felt like something was guiding to the decript building that was known as the modoki inn. Roy could feel too, it was the digimental calling for them. " Kazuya go! Find the digimental, I can handle this on my own. Just hurry." Roy requested from his partner who gave him a nod and ran towards the inn, the reppamon then turned towards Kazuya but before she can do anything she got slapped with another weak prjoectile from his sword, making her turn towards him. " Hey eyes on me, I am your opponent." He said before taking a fighting stance. Kazuya then ran ahead and did not look back, showing his trust for Roy to have his back and his trust was in its place as the digimon could not attack him. As he reached the broken structure Kazuya began to search for the thing that made his device go crazy in the first place. And after a while of searching he saw a beautiful light blue egg with a weird symbol on it, it radiated a magnificent glow of light the beauty of it left the man speechless for a couple of seconds before attempting to touch it and when he did a burst of light an energy came out of the egg it was so intense that the man could feel his hand heating up and he was not able to see what happened to it. After a couple of seconds Kazuya saw that the egg was gone.....? Royland barely managed to keep dodging from the reppamon (damn it, her moves are sharp and swift. The way her body moves and twist to utilize the blade on her tail is just ridiculous. I did not expect anything from a reppamon. But thanks to her being mad now, her moves became spastic and sloppy I can use that for my advantage, but still if this keeps up and I do not find an opening. I might......) Roy stopped himself from having negative thoughts and focused on the battle managing to get 2 more hits making them 4 in total. But eventually the reppamon got a clean hit in sending Roy flying, but instead of falling down he fillped over and landed on his feet. " No! I refuse to fall down, I shall never fall till I fulfil my promise so come at me with every thing you got and witness my unbreakable pride as the mighty Lion knight Sir Royland" Roy exclaimed loudly annoucing his identity and reminding himself of who he was ashe raised his blade and smiled through the bruises in his face specially under his right eye and on his left cheek. But suddenly something happened, Roy's body started to be surronded by a blue aura, Roy searched the area looking for the cause, he then saw none other than Kazuya holding his device with a smile on his face "tough talk coming from a cat knight, but lets see if you can back it up. Are you ready partner ?"
"Always was, Partner." You see what happened to Kazuya was, after the egg disappeared he continued to search for it only to realize a moment later that it was absorbed into his deviced. Then he rushed towards his parter to rescue him.

A burst of violent aura and light covered the body of the spadamon the aura fluttered around as its majestic blue hue delightes the eyes of anyone who saw it, but after it faded away it revealed a creature that was not the same tiny lion but a large majestic lion that shared the same fur colour as Roy and even had similar armor peices.  " Now, let us begin our round 2 shall we Zaru ?" The lion said as puffs of smoke escaped his mouth, overflowing with energy Roy felt confident that he could take down he Reppamon right now. |
