OOC: This thread is open to any character that currently attends high school.
Colin yawned, rubbing the sleep dust from his eyes. Man, he could never get used to just how early school started in Japan. He was dressed in his usual Shibuya High school uniform, bag full of books on his back. It might seem like a mundane thing to be doing for one that spent so much time adventuring in the digital world, but, it was all part of his agreement with his parents. They wouldn't be too nosy about what he did on the other world, so long as it didn't interrupt his schooling. And since they had been super cool about letting his partners Luke and Bellamy live with them, Colin didn't want to break that agreement. Speaking of his partners, they were walking either side of him. Luke the Elecmon and Bellamy the Impmon. However, they weren't appearing as they normally were. Thanks to devices called holosuits, the digimon twins appeared as humans like any other Shibuya High student, Bellamy resembling a purple haired androgynous boy, while Luke appeared as a red haired boy with reading glasses raised on his head. Because Mr. and Mrs. James had gone as far as formally adopted the pair, they too were enrolled at Shibuya High as "Luke James" and "Bellamy James". So long as everyone who administrated this sort of thing never saw through their holosuits, that was how it was for them. "Heh. Do ya think one day we could fly in on Daedalus?" Bellamy asked the others, his impish grin still visible through his human face. "I doubt it" Luke answered while Colin smirked. The trio entered the school a little while before the first class of the morning. "Hmm, looks like we got Geography first" Colin remarked, looking at his timetable. It was the first week back from summer holidays too, so all of it was a bit of a new experience. It was his sophomore year after all. "Wonder who's taking it?""Furthermore, wonder if there's anyone we know attendin'?" Bellamy asked further. After all, they weren't the only disguised digimon that attended this school, or so he thought at least. Colin and Luke wondered that too. Well, holosuits didn't disguise digimon from other digimon, so, they'd know soon enough.

Tadayoshi couldn't spend all his time in the digital world. He had to take breaks between life-and-death situations, dangerous battles, and risky recon ops, especially if he wanted to keep his very strict father from asking too many questions. Ironically enough, compared to his wrath, shell shock was preferable to Tadayoshi, no exaggeration necessary. The only problem was that he was about to learn there was a second person asking too many questions about whom he had to worry. "Hey. Riverboy." That was the nickname given to the young man by Koto - well, not young, being he was Tadayoshi's senior by a year and physical superior by about double. Until recently, Tadayoshi had no relationship with this boy, but the General unfortunately made himself the bully's new target when he stepped in for the old one. "Bring a towel?"
"Not now," Yoshi bitterly hissed. Clearly, though, Tadayoshi was in no position to defend his position. He couldn't deploy any of his army in the hallway outside his geography class, nor did he have the frame to do it himself. Averagely built, sure, but at 5'6'' he wasn't exactly a giant. Besides, the neat brown buzzcut and flawlessly ironed school uniform made him look like perfect bait. None of that was the real reason he had attracted Koto's attention, however.
"Still never mentioned what happened after you fell in the river. You get abducted by aliens?"
"Tell me what you're doing in this class at your age, and I'll tell you." Apparently that was the wrong answer, because it got the 16-year-old boy lifted clean off his feet by the collar.
From the boy's back pocket, a deep voice asked with some concern, "General?" and that spared Yoshi momentarily from whatever his punishment was about to be. Still, he wasn't back on the ground yet; his aggressor merely reacted momentarily confused.

As Colin and his partners entered the school building, making their way to the Geography classroom, they noted something on the way. A big senior classmate was in the process of bullying a junior, even going as far as grabbing him by the shirt collar and holding him up.
If Colin hadn't been the partner of two strong digimon, he would've walked past while pretending to know nothing. But he was. And the fact that he had two such powerful friends made him stop and glare.
"Colin, just say the word and we'll fold his ass" Bellamy whispered.
"...okay, do it" Colin said. "But do it in a way where you don't break your holosuit".
More easier said than done, as a digimon using their attacks was enough to break a holosuit. So, Bellamy and Luke had to approach this situation as seamless as possible.
"So, hi there, Mr. Big Toughguy, I notice you're wearing the latest approved school uniform" Bellamy said, speaking in a professional yet airy voice as one would expect from some kind of fashion designer. "Looking good from what I can see, but, I hear that it's inflammable too, so, what do you think we have a little test of that?"
"Bellamy, careful now" Luke advised his brother, but did so deliberately. The twins' main aim was to prevent violence being done to what they saw as an innocent schoolmate.
"Heh, don't worry, aniki, worst case scenario, Big Biffo here has to go home and get some new clothes" Bellamy said, then drew what appeared to be zippo lighter (but was actually a pencil sharpener) from his pocket. Of course, in clear breach of the rules, but the look on his face would tell anyone that just a simple flick of his thumb would make some fire happen. "Or he can stop bein' a jerkwad and let this guy go".
Colin had to restrain himself here. He remembered that Bellamy had built up something of a reputation in this school as someone who would help those in need. And this was a situation where he couldn't let that reputation slip. Bellamy's green eyes glared up at the bully's, waiting for him to make his move. Luke stood in preparation for the worst meanwhile.

"Mmmmmm..."
"Johan?"
"Leave me alone..."
"Johan, you're almost late. Wake up!"
"...wait, what...?" Johan lazily looked up and checked his phone. As Dokamon had said, it was only twenty minutes until the first hour bell would ring. "Oh no, oh no, oh no!" Johan immediately got up from bed and began hurrying to get ready. He put on deodorant, brushed his teeth, and grabbed a clean uniform from his closet. As he struggled to put it on, Dokamon was there to make sure the 15 year old didn't trip over his own feet.
"Thanks for waking me up, Dokamon. You're a life saver."
"It was not a problem. You've been sleeping a lot lately. Is something the matter?"
"No, no, nothing at all. Just been busy with Digital World stuff and all, you know? Plus there is the homework, lots and lots of homework. Alright, there we go. Dokamon, digitize!" Johan would then run out the door as Dokamon was sucked up into the V-Pet.
When Johan got to the school, he immediately noticed one thing: someone was being held up by the collar by another much bigger kid. Johan was smaller than both of those involved, so he just decided to go on his way, hoping to not be noticed by the bigger kid. However, he then overheard a couple of voices start to tell the bully off, both using different approaches.
"Let him go!" A kid with red hair and yellow eyes began to yell. "He didn't do anything to you! So let him go, you bully!"
Wow, that kid has guts...

Forget Koto; this kid was the really scary one! Setting the other kid on fire? "H-hey! Could you not do that while he's grabbing me?" Maybe this American boy was trying to be nice, but Tadayoshi was afraid he was just put in even more danger now.
Still, Koto got scared. Was that a good sign? The bully's eyes turned wide, and one of the arms holding up Tadayoshi fell to his side (though apparently one was all he needed to continue suspending the Xros General). "You freakin' wouldn't!" was how the bully tried to call Bellamy's bluff. Unfortunately, there was no hiding it in his eyes; he was freaked out. "...You Americans and your dang hero complexes," Koto hissed. That was just before he let Tadayoshi go, but Koto didn't so much drop Tadayoshi as throw him. Of course Tadayoshi couldn't just be tossed like a ball, but he could be pushed backward when let go of, causing him to stumble backwards toward Bellamy.
The good news was that Tadayoshi did manage to stop in time to avoid ramming into the disguised Impmon, thus sparing his holosuit, by altering his own course and bumping into the wall. The bad news was that on impact, his aqua and silver Xros Loader fell out of his pocket and onto the floor. "Whatcha got there?" Koto asked his victim. Yoshi scooped up the machine and tried to hide it ASAP, stuffing it back into his pocket and pulling his shirt over it, too. Koto looked like he wanted to rush for it, but then he looked at the boy with the 'lighter' and thought better of it. "...Screw it. I'm skipping this one today," he muttered before turning tail and walking away.
"Oh, boy. That was... dangerous," Tadayoshi remarked while panting, coming down from fight-or-flight. "Hey, uh... stranger. You weren't gonna really set him on fire, were you?"

Y'know, high school was by far the more dull part of Akemi's life as of late. Didn't really take a detective to see why, either. There was a sort of tedium that had come out of being able to go to another world and all of that. So, school had kind of become similar to going through the motions.
At least that would never change. Even the yelling! Wait. Yelling? No, that was a bit extreme of a word but someone was being really loud. The girl found herself walking towards the source to find someone getting accosted, someone yelling at the accoster and...wow this was weird.
Meanwhile, right behind Akemi, a pink-haired, braid toting girl in a school uniform just stepped forward and called out, "That guy's a weenie!" ...She probably meant the accoster. Akemi groaned. She forgot that Anzu somehow got herself registered here. Somehow. Said it was for protection purposes.

As he stood there, Bellamy felt just the slightest bit exposed. While if this human decided to take a swing at him, it would more likely than not disrupt his holosuit. Which, in the short term wouldn't be a problem, as then in his true form as an Impmon he could really set this guy on fire. But in the long term, well, "Bellamy James" probably wouldn't be a part of Shibuya High for much longer. But he felt a little more confident in what was going on as he was backed up by a kid with red hair and yellow eyes.
Still though, Bellamy's green eyes didn't change expression as they locked with Koto's. Yeah, he so freaking would. If Koto were a digimon he'd be on fire by now. But, since Colin's elder sister Sophie would probably have a stern talking to him if he did follow through with this, well, that was the main reason why he didn't proceed. That and he didn't know how to use Baddaboom without disrupting his holosuit.
Bellamy then jumped back as Koto tried to throw Tadayoshi at him. As the poor kid collided with the wall something dropped. Colin recognized that at once. That was a digivice. Or at least... one of the variants he had so far been made familiar with. So... this guy was a digidestined like he was? That made Colin intrigued.
Still though, as Koto left the scene, Tadayoshi then spoke to Bellamy. "Heh, nah, it's just a pencil sharpener, see?" he said, indicating the plastic pencil-case tool that still somehow resembled a zippo lighter. "Sometimes it's just the thought that counts though".
Tadayoshi said 'stranger', so Bellamy thought there was time for introductions here. "The name's Bellamy James. This is my twin brother Luke, and my adopted brother Colin" he indicated to the others. "Hope that guy hasn't been a problem for too long".
Colin meanwhile was surprised by the outburst from one of the onlookers. A girl declared that Koto was a 'weenie'. Colin didn't really know what to make of that. Well, that was true he supposed.
"So, uh, that happened" Colin remarked to those standing in the corridor. "Hopefully Geography class won't be this, well, nasty".
Luke and Bellamy meanwhile noted who Anzu was - a holosuited digimon. But they'd respect her right to that not being revealed, so long as she respected theirs. But they let her know that they knew too, giving friendly gestures that were commonplace in the digital world, just so the humans around them wouldn't catch on.

It seemed like the confrontation had caught the eyes of a lot of other passing students, including a pink-haired girl that had called the bully a "weenie." Thankfully, the guy had decided to back off, claiming that it simply wasn't worth it. After he left, the red-haired kid went over to help him up. "Hi there, Yoshi. Are you okay?" Tadayoshi would recognize this kid as Chenjin, a little Gatchmon that he had chased after some time ago.
Remarkably, Chenjin seemed to have no ill feelings towards Tadayoshi!
"Wait, you two know each other?" Johan had asked Chenjin.
"Kind of! We just ran into each other on the street. Talked for a little bit, you know?" To top it off, Chenjin wasn't ratting him out! Hopefully Tadayoshi will keep quiet, in case he wanted to not be in further trouble than he already was. Things wouldn't be that simple however... Johan saw Tadayoshi's Xros Loader.
Another Digidestined is here, huh?
"Johan," Dokamon says quietly from Johan's D-3, "I'm sensing three Digimon signals in the area."
"Three?" Johan looked in the surrounding area, wondering who the three Digimon were. They must've been wearing holosuits, because he could not tell who was actually human and who wasn't!

Even though Tadayoshi noticed the bystander who insulted Koto on his way out, he didn't think much of her except to be glad she was on the right side even if, unlike Bellamy, she didn't have the conviction to step and be useful. Forget for a moment that the boy had just saved his life - or, his face, at least - the fact remained that the disguised digimon stepped up when he didn't have to (meaning he wasn't forced by circumstances) for the right thing. The General found that highly respectable. "I'm Tadayoshi Teppei. It's an honor to meet you all," was how he greeted his savior and his brothers. "Unfortunately, that guy has been a problem for a while. You don't know the half of it." That was Tadayoshi referencing that Koto was putting an unsettling amount of effort into finding out what happened that day he pushed the General into the river.
Naturally, Commandramon and company sensed the same three digimon from within the confines of his own digivice. However, his reason for keeping quiet wasn't that he respected the right of digimon to to remain anonymous. His sole reason was that he couldn't confirm how much everyone in the area knew and didn't want to risk alerting them. Besides, none of them had proven they were threats... yet.
Commandramon did recognize a fourth digimon, however, which was a fact he found highly unsettling since he couldn't sense that one's presence. How many digimon could be not just invisible but completely undetectable? Perhaps I'll save that info from the General, Commandramon reasoned.
Yoshi recognized that fourth digimon, too. Oh, crud, he thought as he feared this digimon could blow his cover. He had no reason to suspect the others would care about his little machine, but Chenjin had already seen it uncomfortably closely. The encounter wasn't a pleasant one. And yet, despite that, Chenjin surprised Yoshi by lying completely, admitting they knew each other but pretending it ended alright. He doesn't have to do that, Yoshi analyzed, He could pretend to be a total stranger; he knows I'd recognize that holosuit right away. Is he playing at some angle? If he was, Yoshi couldn't figure out. So, when greeted, he responded with equal joviality, "Ah... you saw that, buddy?" with a pretty bad fake smile on his face, "Maybe that's karma for last time. Call it even?" Of course the General wasn't going to blow Chenjin's cover either. What would be the point?
Since Dokamon spoke so lowly, and Tadayoshi wasn't paying any attention to Johan, he missed the little exchange between the two entirely.

Scratch a bully and add some acquaintances.
The signals were returned accordingly by Anzu. She wasn't sure who Bellamy was but there was a sort of...honor amongst the guised going on in this school that would likely be a pain in the ass to break. Akemi shrugged at Colin. "Depends on the teacher. Then again, geography's just landforms in the end..." Meanwhile, an internal monologue of swears directed at Anzu was raging akin to a typhoon.
Meanwhile, the Guised Tsukaimon felt there was more than one Digimon in the area, so her natural response was to look alert. "Nice to meet you, Teppei-san, and everyone else. I'm Nakayama Anzu and this is my t-...trusted pal, Ak-" "Amaya Akemi." Akemi finished for the bean. "...If he's that much trouble to you and others, I could figure out something to do about that." She mused.
Options existed. Snitching. Getting Anzu to devise some crude prank involving the loss of dignity...
The two were more absorbed in conversing with their classmates than anything, so any quiet conversations could remain simply that. Quiet.

Colin and his partners noted that one of the kids that leapt to their aid seemed to know this person. Well, that was pleasant to know. Maybe they could meet up at lunch time today and learn a little more about each other? Yeah... after Geography they could maybe catch up and see what they were like? Colin could tell that there were more digimon other than Luke and Bellamy in this corridor anyway. Exactly how many digimon, he wasn't sure of, but, maybe a chat could figure that out? Bellamy meanwhile listened to Tadayoshi's polite introduction. It made him bite his lip that this bully had been troubling him for so long and only made him regret not actually doing worse to him, but, supposed if he was to keep up the disguise he'd best not go further than that. "Well, alright, but, ugh, it just ain't right that he gets to just march up on you and do that to ya" Bellamy complained, scowling . "If he does that again in front of me, I'll..." he found himself unable to express what he'd do if that happened without giving himself away as a digimon, so just ground his teeth a little, wanting the conversation to just continue with his precise threat unspoken. Then, somehow it seemed that Tadayoshi maybe two of the others? Either way, it wasn't enough for Colin and his partners to remark upon at this stage, so they just chalked that down to an observation. Colin then turned to Anzu as she introduced herself and her partner. They seemed a little shy about things, so the human and twin disguised digimon cheerfully greeted her as well. Then the bell rang, which indicated they should enter their classroom now. As they did so, their teacher would approach their room, accompanied by what appeared to be a young looking teacher's assistant that both Luke and Bellamy recognized at once was another holosuited digimon. Yet they had heard stuff about these guys, and they seemed nice, so when they crossed paths and recognized each other as they were, simply winked at him. He gave a nervous chuckle back, while the teacher gave a knowing glance at their interaction. Colin would be sure not to let his partners do anything overtly obvious in this room he thought. "Good morning everyone" the teacher spoke to them in a British-accented Japanese language. "Welcome to Geography for this year. I'm your new teacher, Lise Hamelin, but you may call me Hamelin-Sensei" she gave a little awkward grin. "I admit my native language is English, so I must insist on "Hamelin", not "Hamerin" she clarified. Colin supposed that was reasonable enough, even though English was his first language, he understood that distinction was probably difficult for native Japanese students. "This is also my trainee assistant for this class, Ark. If any of you need assistance and I'm unavailable, please feel free to ask him instead" she continued. Bellamy raised an eyebrow at that. "Huh... this place a kind of don't-ask-don't-tell place for digimon?" he muttered to Colin, who simply shrugged, not wanting to draw attention to himself. "Now then. For our first task today, I would like you all to divide into study groups" Ms. Hamelin instructed the class. Well, given that Colin guessed that he wanted to join a group with the others he had met in the corridor just now, he'd be drawn to Tadayoshi, Johann, Akemi and their companions to discuss things. "So, hey guys, would it be okay if we work together for this?" he asked them, kind of eagerly. It would be so exciting to do this class with others that he had a bit of suspicion also had knowledge of the digital world.

"If you ever have a problem with him in the future, let me know," Johan told Tadayoshi. "I hate seeing people be treated like that guy treated you."
Chenjin didn't notice the fake smile at all. In fact, he thought it was absolutely genuine! "Aw, it's no big deal! And yeah, we're... even!" The Digimon had never heard that term before, so he had to pause for a second to think about it. The whole situation made Johan a little bit suspicious since he didn't buy Yoshi's conviction at all.
Back to other things... it made Johan a bit weirded out that there were Digimon disguised as students at this school. Maybe Geography class would take his mind off of it? That was Johan's reasoning as he and Chenjin followed the others to class, taking a seat in his desk which just so happened to be next to Colin.
"I'm sensing a fourth Digimon in here," Dokamon says lowly to Johan as the teacher and her assistant walked in, ruining the human's chances of being able to forget about the Digimon entirely. Now they were going to be TAUGHT by a Digimon, for crying out loud!
Again, Johan took a deep breath and attempted to just concentrate on class. Too bad he overheard what Bellamy had said to Colin, specifically the "Digimon" part. He turned to the two of them in suspicion. He would discuss this with them at a later time.
Alright, now they were going to be in study groups it seemed. Colin turned towards Johan and the others, offering to be in a group with them. Johan needed answers, so he just decided to go with it. "No problem, mate. I'll be in a group with you."
"Can I be in the group too?" Chenjin asked hopefully. He didn't have many friends yet at this school...

All the offers for future help dealing with Koto were extremely appreciated. Too bad I can't actually tell you guys why he's after me. Tadayoshi amended that thought after glancing at Chenjin, though. Slash that; I know one person who might understand. What's with this guy, though? What makes someone come to the human world just to impersonate a kid? As a human, I gotta say it's not that great. Of course, he also had to consider, Whatever it is... it's not malice. Renamon can smell a lie a mile away almost literally, but even she thought he was genuine. The young man couldn't lie to himself; this seemed like a nice group of folks. But as he thought about the fact that the stranger who didn't give his name and Chenjin seemed to know one another. I wonder... does he know?
Tadayoshi tried to be the last one in to talk to Commandramon, but the dragonoid beat him to the punch. "Your head would spin if you knew just how many digimon were in that room."
"Want to enlighten me?"
"I can only place guesses on their identities, but I count four including the Gatchmon."
"You're joking!"
"Not at all. The rest I can only guess based on direction. One of them is either the girl in the pink hair or her companion. I'm certain that two of them were among that trio of 'adoptive brothers,' and I find it doubtful the third doesn't know."
"Sounds right."
"The Gatchmon is shielded from my senses somehow. There are others who may be as well."
"Is- is everyone in this class a digimon?"
"You won't find out from here." Good point. It seemed like the teacher hadn't shown up yet, but Yoshi was supposed to be a perfect student, so he went ahead and took his seat. While the class was still settling down, when the instructors walked in, Commandramon managed to mutter, "Make that five." By the timing, Tadayoshi understood that even his teacher or TA were also digital.
I may as well just attend digital world school. Tadayoshi was surprised that those suspected of digital activity, mostly, seemed to approach him to join the group assignment... partly because that was his own intention. Do they know? Wait! I dropped my Loader earlier. Rookie mistake! From this Tadayoshi was able to deduce that the brothers and whichever girl was the digimon definitely knew about him. ...Are they including me just because I'm a General? Well, there was only one way to find out: accepting.
The truth was, the boy was still genuinely glad to be included no matter the reason, so his grin was sincere when he accepted, "I'd be honored! Your names were- hang on... Akemi, Anzu, Chenjin, Ruke, Beramy, and Corin." Whoops! His accent slipped. "Sorry. 'Luke, Bellamy, and Colin.' I guess I have to get used to that for this teacher." A little embarrassed by the flub, Yoshi rubbed the back of his buzz-cut head.

Anzu kind of made a realization that she should be more attentive in this environment. After all, holosuited digimon seemed to keep popping up on her figurative radar. More and more...Naturally, she was keeping Akemi hilariously out of the loop on this. Not like it would do much to affect her or the rest of the class...
Speaking of class, it seemed they had to go into study groups. That was...alright. Colin was asking both Akemi and the other folks if they wanted to be in a group. "Sure." Akemi replied. There was no point in -not- sticking with people you just met, truthfully. It was also not quite directed at anyone in particular.
Seemed that was decided. Fast.

Colin chuckled when Tadayoshi mispronounced his name. "Heh, no worries, I'm used to that by now" he said. Being called 'Corin' for a few years by his Japanese peers, it was something that simply washed over him by now.
Johan and Chenjin agreed to be part of the group as well. As did Akemi and Anzu. "That's great" Colin smiled. "Heh heh, so, guess how this is gonna be for the rest of the year, eh? The, uh... nine of us geography fans workin' together" Bellamy grinned at the bunch of them. Something that the teacher seemed to catch on to. "By the way, no more than five to a study group please, so the big group there will have to split into two" Lise said to them. Colin supposed it made sense, couldn't really have too many in a group while others missed out. "Aw, nuts" Bellamy pouted, but Luke raised his hand and was acknowledged. "Hamelin-sensei, would it be alright if our study groups still coordinated?" he asked, calmly. "By all means, that will be fine" Lise said. In fact she was rather glad that the group with the digimon that Ark had identified stayed relatively close together. When all was settled, she thought she might begin a light exercise to begin things off. "Now then. I notice we have a lot of international students in this class, so I think a good exercise for us to begin with will be for us to introduce ourselves, and speak for a minute or two about where we all came from" Lise said. She gave a playful sort of smile at the holosuited digimon, wondering what sort of stories they might give, but hoped that none of them would give themselves away. She would choose at "random" but deliberately picked a human first. "We'll begin with you, please" she pointed at Colin, who gradually rose to his feet, a little shocked at being asked first, but felt reassured by Bellamy patting his back. "Okay... hello everyone" he spoke in his American-accented Japanese. "My name's Colin James, and I was born in Omaha in Nebraska. I'm an American by birth, but my grandma on my father's side is Japanese. The main thing I remember about Omaha is that it had hot summers and cold winters, and the fact that you could drive for six hours in any direction and all you'd see is cornfields".Colin spoke a little more before Lise thanked him. Luke meanwhile was rapidly thinking up what his "human" origins were. Bellamy on the other hand was screaming internally. "Very well, let's proceed with you" Lise said, pointing to Johan. Following that, she would ask Tadayoshi, then Akemi, and then begin with those she knew were digimon.
