While Anzu's form as Tsukaimon became surrounded by mists, something that signified her digivolving, Akemi had some conversation to engage in. Right, Jazz had been much more reserved as a Rookie...No wonder this could make Katherine uncomfortable. "Maybe because of how...much of a far cry she is at this level compared to the Lopmon Anzu met when we got those empanadas. I'm...not too worried about Anzu, she's usually like this, but I can see why you'd be worried about Jazz." Meanwhile, a rather standard-looking if not much larger Mephistomon than one might be used to, stood where the bean had been, and was more than prepared for whatever the hell this French hussy could throw at them (which, when you think about it, could be anything.) Problem was, she had better be prepared to Spirit Evolve quickly if she hadn't already. Rather than move into melee range, the Mephistomon first held a hand up, and pointed towards Amelie, a glyph appearing somewhere on her body (it could really be anywhere). THEN, she flew up and uttered a silent prayer to whatever filthy god she worshipped, before firing forth an eldritch blast multi-colored, searing hot beam down at Amelie after Jazz had sent out that wave. Essentially, it was an attempt to overwhelm right off the bat.
Relevant Passives: [LOADED PASSIVE] Brand - Mephistomon at the start of combat targets an individual, a glyph appearing on their body. Mephistomon gains a moderate amount of bonus movement speed while moving towards that target and her attacks burn them for additional light damage. Mephistomon however is only able to focus on the target and is incapable of targeting others unless they are in the way. She can reassign the Brand at a 4 post cooldown OR if the target is defeated/dies.
Dark Virus [RAM Upgrade Giga]: An echo of an active ability far along the evolutionary line for Anzu. Dark Virus enables her to freely manipulate the feelings of any Digimon, at a few costs and stipulations. One, she will encounter difficulties utilizing this on Digimon higher than her current level, as they will be able to resist this easily, while digimon of an equivalent level have a slightly more difficult time resisting this. It goes to say that the higher Anzu's level of evolution, the more easily she can make use of Dark Virus. Two, she can only drive her target to one of two emotional extremes at a time, namely extreme anger, or peace. And three, she can only make use of Dark Virus once every three rounds. She -could- use it on herself, but that's...a very bad idea. All around. Four, she can only use this on one target at a time, and the target has to be at least within three yards of her. And five, the emotions instilled upon this only last for three rounds.
Baphomet: An unholy entity, Mephistomon is healed by any unholy/dark attacks thrown her way. In exchange, holy things hurt her for double damage.
Anzu digivolves into Mephistomon(?) and flies up before firing Black Sabbath at Amelie, in a clear effort to try overwhelming her with the aid of Jazz. In addition to this, she marks Amelie with Brand. She can now only target her. Uh oh. Don't expect the author to keep track of passives too hard here or anything, in fact, expect nothing at all.Black Sabbath: Anzu’s main mode of attack in this form. One prayer for a festival of death and she fires a colorful blast from her palm. The blast is searing hot and great for destroying the environment around Anzu. One post cooldown. Cooldowns: Black Sabbath: 0/1

Loire cooed again as soon as Asher. Could it be that she thought this was some sort of game? Quite likely, even though that the next time, the Pitchmon proverbially refrained from biting more than what she could chew.
"Well, considering that she's technically a fish, and you're her father." Amy couldn't help but snicker at the situation. "She probably thinks you're a fish. A weird and handsome red-haired fish, but a fish in the end, right?"
Could it mean that Amy was a fish as well? Given the unfortunate nickname she had been given the very day before, that was likely, even though lobsters weren't fish in the strict sense. But that was a technicality at best. It didn't escape Amelie that she, at least in strict terms, was at an inherent disadvantage when pitted against Jazz and Anzu. A perfect level and an adult level versus a lone perfect level didn't seem like very favorable odds; it also made engaging into a direct confrontation with the two digimon to be a foolish task at best.
Luckily, the young woman had that fact present in the back of her mind since the very beginning; a smirk decorated her face as a ring of fractal code manifested around her left hand. Her D-Arc glowed on a bright pink shade as the code was scanned, prompting that mysterious glow to envelop her body and initiating the spirit evolution.
The result? Nothing. Literally. The spot where Amelie had stood moments before was vacant, and no trace could be seen of her current location or whereabouts. It was almost as if she had completely disappeared! Even though... truth was that Katherine was probably acquainted with this trick, at least if her memory was good enough. At least in appearance, it seemed like both attacks that had been directed at her position had hit that portion of the beach harmlessly. Had that been the case?
Now, the question was... could she really do anything about it? Guess it was time to find out. Log: Amy evolves and turns invisible. She's too ashamed to display Anzu's brand. Rip.
Too lazy to write anything else.

Crap. This was definitely not convenient at all! By pulling one of her most basic tricks, Amy had managed to throw both Katherine and Jazz off balance. Figuratively. There was a fairly decent chance that she had been struck by the techniques going her way, yes, but it was definitely a problem they couldn't see her anymore!
Knowing she was a more than targetable objective, Jazz could feel a bit of panic going through her body.
"It might be... Heraldmon?" Katherine asked her self in a mutter. "Heraldmon?" Bastian, who had seen a fair share of creatures during his trips, had never heard of a name like that. "A-At least... That's how I call it." The teenager responded, her green irises trailing down towards the robot for a second."We don't really know its name...or the name of any of Amy's forms, actually. I had a very... Strange encounter with... Ugh, I don't even know what it was to this day. She looked like an Amy from the future. She called her evolved form Heraldmon, so I just assumed that was the name of that thing." The former chef seemed extremely interested in this phenomenon. "And she can turn... Invisible?" "She can do many things," Katherine answered while folding her arms. "I wonder what Jazz is going to do..."
At least partially, that question would be answered quite soon. The Cho-Hakkaimon started swinging her Roketto Dingpaa above her head, blowing a massive wave of wind that originated in the hog herself and traveled towards every other direction. Although the burst of wind was extremely aggressive and would have a very evident effect on everyone's clothes and hair, it wouldn't blow any of the spectators or Anzu away. However, if Heraldmon (or whatever Amy had turned into) tried to approach Jazz, she would find herself having to go against an extremely powerful wind current that would send her back immediately. Besides, the slicing wind would cause severe damages to her body if she tried to resist it.
Holding her hair with one hand, Katherine didn't take her eyes away from the battlefield for a second. "She's trying to keep Amy away from her while she can't see her." She noted. Immediately, her eyes went towards Akemi, who was hopefully still right next to her. "Does Anzu know any way to track an invisible digimon?" She raised her voice to issue that question, previously shadowed by the blowing wind.
Hopefully, the Mephistomon would have a trick below her sleeve that allowed her to find an invisible giant monster. If she didn't, then how in the world were they going to hit her!?

Heraldmon. Akemi repeated that name to herself a few times. She hadn't seen much of Amy's forms, but she knew firsthand that they weren't necessarily like the average Digimon. Unfortunately...she also hadn't seen them fight before. At least, not fight directly. "That...sounds like a story you should tell me later." Akemi muttered, before she decided to raise her voice a bit. "Yep, turns out stealth's one thing it can do...I know Anzu has a...crippling fear of attackers that can do that for some reason. Yet she doesn't really have a way to track them, either." Unless she tracked footprints. Yet, did Heraldmon even leave those? Meanwhile, on Anzu's end of things? Horror quickly dawned on the face of the baphomet as she realized that much like Reptile from the acclaimed fighting game series from Midway and/or Netherrealm Studios, Mortal Kombat™, or some shithead cybercat from a few years ago that we really should not mention, Amelie had turned invisible. "You're really going to do that?!" The beast bellowed as she flew a ways away from Jazz before she turned her gaze to Jazz. Wind was able to spread irritants, right? So, she performed a gesture with her hand as the area around Jazz, the area that was also being buffeted with winds, was given a hefty dosage of a dark cloud that proceeded to get spread anywhere. For Jazz and the bystanders? It was nothing. For any enemies? It felt like pepper spray. It felt downright awful to be in, and it might just disrupt something, hopefully.

Anzu fucking PANICS. Sure, her brand is there but she can't really see Amy, can she? So she uses Mob Rules to try flushing the crustacean out. ...That's focus, right? Probably? I don't know, don't make me have to wonder if loaded passives can see through stealth or not, christ. Mob Rules: Anzu performs a gesture with her hand as an area of her choosing is blanketed with a dark cloud, a horrid irritant for her enemies and a buffer for her friends. For the former, it's like the worst tear gas/pepper spray in the world for them. Three turn cooldown. Oh, gross, this move doesn't even have a set range. Let's say it's around Jazz. While Amelie's intent was to equalize the fight to some extent, she had also predicted that her opponents would assume she'd target the weakest link in the opposing team next, and that's why her next target would be none other than Anzu. Given how the two digimons were clearly separated, and the area-of-effect abilities were concentrated in Jazz mostly, then the path to Anzu's back was more or less clear.
For some, it wouldn't come to anyone's surprise when Heraldmon appeared directly behind the Baphomet. And then? A sharpened tendril would attempt brutally stab her directly in the back. As it did, Anzu would be able to hear the screams of the damned echoing inside her head. And a cat, muttering a famous phrase consisting of three words.
Had the attack been effective, everything and everyone around her would suddenly make her reminisce about a certain black cat she had met in her previous life. This also meant Heraldmon would disengage as fast as possible; being target of the former bean's unbridled wrath was something she wasn't keen on experiencing; on the slightest. She dived down into a patch of the beach undisturbed by Jazz's strong winds, or Anzu's super-powered pepper spray. Such an expeditious retreat would leave her open for the Cho-Hakkaimon's next move, but there wasn't a lot the aberration could do about it.
Or maybe there was? Relevant passives: A lot, some people even complain about the sheer number.
Current Ability: —Whispers of Madness [RAM Upgrade]: The target's forced to experience something nobody should experience. “S-She does?” With the wind still blowing hard, Katherine turned her head towards Akemi. Okay. Anzu being in panic was probably something awful in this particular battle. They needed her! And that was exactly why Amy would aim at the Mephistomon. This was the moment where she felt the former bean was in trouble but… could Jazz really do anything about it? While the Cho-Hakkaimon kept throwing winds all the way around to keep the monster away from her, Heraldmon attacked her friend. However, the aberration was in for a surprise! As soon as she extended her tentacle to stab the demon, a wall of fire emerged from the beast, dispelling the tentacle and probably sending Heraldmon back. “Jaenryu.” It was a good thing there was a fire spirit living inside of Jazz and her allies, which protected them from physical attacks. That was exactly why the monster wouldn’t be able to quite land that stab, heavily minimizing the damage that attack could cause on Anzu. Would this have any effect on the amount of dementia the technique aimed to produce on her? Impossible to know right now! “Jasso, do it now!” It seemed like Jazz was ready to kick things up. “R-Right.” At that moment, the teenager understood her partner’s mindset. It made no sense to try to get out of the protection granted by Anzu’s technique to launch a frontal attack on an enemy that was much stronger. Instead, she should keep her position and equal the field. And that’s why…! As soon as Katherine took her D-Tector out, a cocoon of light engulfed the digimon. When it dissipated, Jazz had turned into a winged, massive beast. Probably not something alien to any of the fighters involved in this battle. Except for maybe Amy herself but… well, she couldn’t quite see it. “Good luck, Hippogriffomon.”
Combat log:
I don't know. Have a passive: -[Ram Upgrade] [Passive ability] Jaenryu: When they are in close-range danger, the fire-dragon spirit living inside of Jazz will raise to protect herself or one of her allies from harm. A burst of fire surrounds the protected target (whether it is Jazz or an ally), burning and scorching anything in contact with them or surrounding them in a one-meter radius. The fire causes no harm to the protected target itself and the intensity of these flames is barely unbearable for the enemy. Once Jaenryu has been activated on an ally, it can't be activated on a different ally during the same fight.

"Yeah, she does. It's...not something she's chosen to open up about yet, but it usually leads to a lot of property damage." Akemi admitted. It would be a pretty good move to exploit that fear to sow discord, but Amy didn't know that, right? Well, Anzu might have given such a fact away when she yelled earlier. Jaenryu came, but Heraldmon's tentacle nipped at the flesh of the baphomet, and...things went pretty horribly in a manner best summarized as "infinitely quicker than an OOC tournament." Anzu ended up seeing something you probably shouldn't mention lightly in the form of a shitty black cat, and her response? An infernal, ear-splitting roar, and Anzu swinging her arm around to call down a familiar meteor. Whether or not it would hit Amy? Who knows. The point is, the golem that promptly emerged proceeded to start swinging wildly at things that weren't even there. Hope Jazz could stay out of this chaos! "That's a good idea!" Akemi exclaimed at Jazz calling for a sudden Armor Evolution into Hippogriffomon. The more power they had on their side, the more control they could potentially have in this bout. That was, however, if Anzu and her golem's rampage didn't splatter Jazz or Amy.

Baphomet: An unholy entity, Mephistomon is healed by any unholy/dark attacks thrown her way. In exchange, holy things hurt her for double damage.
Anzu is hit by Amelie's attack. The physical damage is nulled a great deal by Jaenryu, but she goes positively apeshit at such old and stupid memes being referenced, and uses Abyssal. The golem starts swinging aimlessly. Abyssal [RAM Upgrade]: Anzu points one of her eldritch invocations skywards and calls down a meteor. The meteor, while something to be scared of on it's own, is actually very paltry compared to what it entails. Upon contact with the ground, the meteor reveals a flaming rock golem about Mephistomon's height that fights on Anzu's behalf for three turns and can only use a basic attack endlessly. Three turn cooldown. Oh god, I have to do durations too?: Abyssal - 0/3 Amy-Induced Delirium: 1/2 Cooldowns: Mob Rules: 1/3 Abyssal: Waiting.

Things were getting interesting, as far as Heraldmon was concerned; while a defensive measure had been taken to prevent the aberration from afflicting Anzu, it seemed like such a method hadn't been enough. One didn't need eyes nor ears to discern how the Mephistomon's form and demeanor contorted with unbridled and pure salt rage. And, in all honesty? The reason was understandable. Who even wanted to see that cat again.
While initially recoiling from the flames, Amelie's intent was to bail as soon as the attack had been effective or not; considering its possible repercussions, wanting to get out of what could be a savage rampage was probably among her highest priorities, despite any possible follow-up from Jazz by leaving herself exposed.
Luckily, nothing of the sort had happened. She recognized Jazz's evolution, even if the form wasn't something she had sensed before; guess that it had been the perfect moment to be given quarter, given how there was a gigantic, flaming, eldritch rock falling from outer space and fully intending to smash into the battlefield and the monstrosity's form! Better to avoid it, if possible!
From one instant to the next, Heraldmon disappeared into thin air, getting outside of the meteor's range and reappearing a fair distance away; still within both its opponent's line of sight, but luckily out of harm's way.
Well, at least for now. It depended on the infernal's, Jazz's, and Anzu's disposition to find out for how long such state would persist. Relevant passives: A lot, some people even complain about the sheer number.

With Anzu being blinded by the rage Amy had ignited in her through that illusion, the situation had complicated very quickly. The Heraldmon was trying to reduce their numbers by facing them with one another, which would mean their evident defeat.
Although dodging the striking meteorite hadn't been that complicated, since it was moving in the opposite direction from where Jazz was standing, the golem Anzu had summoned was proving to be extremely annoying! The thing kept flailing around the area where the mist the Mephistomon had created used to be, forcing Jazz to move from one side to the other to avoid getting smashed by it.
Once it seemed safe enough to fly away from the golem and Anzu, Jazz started fluttering her wings and gaining some height. Although agitated by the terrible situation, the Hippogriffomon seemed to not be desperate or scared. Instead, Jazz showed an amount of confidence and matureness that could only be visible at this stage. It was so firm that... Katherine even felt safe, for a second.
Standing up after the earthquake that meteor had produced, Katherine dusted herself up and turned to Akemi, extending her hand to help her reincorporate too. "I think Jazz is angry." Well, yes, that made sense. Before anyone could point out this was not new, she clarified. "It's different, though. I don't think Hippogriffomon shows the same uncontrolled and rampaging rage Cho-Hakkaimon does." The green-eyed looked above again, staring at her partner. "I think this time... Her anger is very well funneled." Maybe she was wrong. Or maybe this just meant she knew Jazz that much now. And if she did... it meant she had something in mind.
After reaching a certain height. The Hippogriffomon started fluttering her winds again. Behind the beast, a ray of light appeared. This light starred beaming with more intensity and it quickly covered the whole scene. Although it had always been sunny, now everything was particularly more visible.
If this had worked, it was likely Anzu had snapped out of her deliriant rant by now. The effects of Amelie's move had been canceled by Jazz's technique. And, while they were at it, the Heraldmon would find itself completely visible. Even if she tried, it was likely she could not disappear from sight again.
Jazz, on her side, took a deep breath and...
"What in the heaven's name are you doing, Anzu!?" She asked the former bean. Her voice was loud so the demon could hear her. Although her tone denoted anger, her intonation remained unaltered. "You're my rival. The digimon I look up to. Please don't you dare to fall for such a stupid trick again. I need you to win this."
For the first time ever in their friendship, Jazz seemed to be showing some level of authority towards Anzu. She seemed to be giving some much-needed scolding to her best friend. Her words were full of many emotions. Anger, love, determination. All of them fused into a shout that called for the Mephistomon to do one thing only:
FIGHT.
A move:
——Light World: By waving its wings, flying, Hippogriffomon covers the whole environment in bright radiation, lighting up any dark areas and making everything completely visible. While Light World is active, every move that alters the true will of any digimon in the battlefield is rendered completely ineffective. Light World lasts for 3 turns. 3 posts cooldown.

That was a rather shaky and difficult thing to get through, Akemi getting up and dusting herself off quickly while looking Katherine over to make sure she was fine. "I...Yeah, we're in agreement there. She seems far more...focused right now than she was earlier!" Sure, Jazz was pissed.
But it was far better to have a direct target for being pissed than anything. The light that Jazz had fired off had coated the proverbial arena, and though Anzu herself was far more adverse to the light than anything else?
It actually worked.
Even if she had been cast from up high into the depths so long ago, a part of this creature still welcomed the light. The Mephistomon paused, gritting her teeth, not at Jazz herself, but at Heraldmon.
"Oh, I'll win, alright. After all..." She rammed a claw into her own body, the claw itself piercing her hide as she took hold of...something. And the Mephistomon pulled. She pulled until that same something made an audible snap and the air around her seemed to shatter akin to glass after being slammed into by a brick.
What did this do? Well, for starters, the Mephistomon--at least the kind Anzu was thought to be, was no longer present. Instead, there was...one that looked way different. One with a skull for a head, flames in her eyes, a great hairdo, a fancy little hat, heels, and actual femininity to her figure, as scarce as it may be. Even if that was entirely subjective.
"All the French can really do is wave a white flag like the cowards they are."
A touch bleak, but with that, the golem under Anzu's control finally turned towards the true target, Amelie, as it surged forth, charging at Heraldmon to try slugging her! Either way, it seems like she got the message.
The Mephistomon X put a hand on the ground before she yanked out a parasol from seemingly nowhere, though the keen-eyed could see a small magic circle where the parasol had come from. After swiftly shaking off some dust, she traced a symbol in the air before a ebony chain fired forth from that symbol, attempting to ensnare Amy!
"...I...Uh. Kath? Did I just...see that right?" Akemi blinked in incredulity. "I-I'm not hallucinating or anything?"
I am way too frazzled at this very moment to put down a proper log so you just get the following.
Anzu is no longer apeshit. Anzu reveals her true form. Anzu fires Black Chain while the Golem tries it's greatest move, PUNCH.
Black Chain [RAM Upgrade]: Mephistomon traces a symbol in the air before firing a black chain that aims to coil around an enemy's limb. The chain causes exhaustion in the enemy for two turns and is searing hot to the touch. Three turn cooldown.
Abyssal: 1/3.

It was about time things got interesting; in all honesty, the fight had been relatively boring thus far. Jazz's own evolution and Anzu's own... could it even be called an evolution? In any case, the point was that, for better or worse, things were beginning to get heated in this spar, and that wasn't even having into account the construct the Mephistomon had summoned! A pretty interesting sight, all things considered.
Overall? The brunette wished she had the ability to actually hear the trashtalk she was being subjected to by Anzu; a pretty nice burn would have ensued. Alas... that was for the better, at least at the current time. Now? Heraldmon Was being subject to both the infernal's attack and the Mephistomon X's own attack.
What would the aberration do in the face of such an onslaught, then? First off; Heraldmon's skin began to harden and take a metallic sheen. Second? The digimon rushed towards Hippogriffomon, making sure to close as much distance as possible before Anzu's and the infernal's attacks impacted on its body. Yup, that wasn't very nice on their part, but... the spar was about that, more or less.
Amy's first attack had Anzu as target. Now, a replica of the chains that had been launched at Heraldmon's enveloped its form as it tried to shot them straight towards the Hippogriffmon. Would that be effective? Time to find out. Amy uses Repurpose on Jazz. Trying to transfer the debuff and all that jazz.

Fascinating. The magic of evolution had mesmerized Bastian on two occasions already. Although he was not a fan of physical disputes, the displays being put on the stage by these three Digimon had managed to captivate the robot.
Once again, Katherine was forced to hold her own hair, while the sheer energy going out of Anzu through her transformation flowed everywhere. “Anzu…” It seemed like Amy’s attempt to win this fight by enraging Anzu had fired back. Now that she was out of her illusion, the Mephismon seemed ACTUALLY upset. Her green eyes went up above to stare at the new form the former bean displayed. It looked like Mephismon but… a lot more dangerous, somehow.
“I did.” The tamer replied to her best friend. “Anzu had another transformation under her sleeve this whole time?”
No matter what happened, Anzu always ended up doing something that made Katherine wonder… what kind of digimon was she?
With a new Anzu on the battlefield, the second round had started.
Was Heraldmon underestimating the only quality that was actually remarkable about Jazz’s new form? Hadn’t she been able to tell the Hippogriffomon was extremely fast? For this reason, getting close to Jazz right now was definitely easier said than done. Knowing she was keen to be the first target of Amy’s shenanigans from the start, the beast reacted immediately to the monster’s advance and flew back, getting as far from it as she could.
From the distance, Jazz started moving her wings, deploying the beautiful landscape of a galaxy before a stream of star-shaped bursts of energy started raining towards Heraldmon. Those that didn’t hit the abomination would cause fairly big holes on the sand and then disappear. The beast wouldn’t stop fluttering her wings for a second and the rain of stars wouldn’t stop.
The upside for Amy? The strength of her attack would eventually make the de-buffing chain to reach Jazz, especially considering the target had stopped moving in order to attack. It was likely the effects of exhaustion would become more evident once Katherine’s partner stopped channeling this technique, which she seemed willing to keep on launching for a while. She was trying to throw everything and Amy and leave her out of combat before it was too late. And Anzu should do the same.
Jazz used this and she'll keep using it next turn, probably.
——Star Shower: Hipoogriffomon opens her wings widely, where a portion of the outer space can be seen. Upon waving them, star-shaped portions of energy are thrown straight against the opponent, exploding on contact. The star's shower continues for the next turn, where Hippogriffomon will keep shooting stars (unable to use another technique), doing twice as much damage. 2 posts cooldown.

The pieces started to fall together in Akemi's head regarding what had just happened to Anzu as the battle continued to unfold in front of them. She...-had- seen this before, actually. Just not in it's entirety, just not in it's full splendor. "...Yes, she did. I've...seen a form of this before. Whenever Mephistomon took heavy amounts of damage in the past, her whole...body seemed to flicker and be replaced by -that.- Except it was a silhouette the whole time..." Akemi trailed off, covering her eyes a bit to protect herself from oncoming sand.
"So...With that in mind? I think she just...showed her true form. In full." That seemed to be the short of it. Why was she so upset, anyways? That was what seemed to be troubling both of the girls to an extent. On the subject of Anzu, she was a touch dismayed to find her chain being eventually redirected towards Jazz.
That simply wouldn't do. For a number of reasons. Even with the chain on Jazz now, she could still lay on the hurt on Heraldmon, and the Mephistomon X had literally every other move in her arsenal to be capable of doing just that. The golem continued to pursue Amelie with the intent of hitting her, while as the abomination drew closer to Jazz (and Jazz responded accordingly,) she'd find herself in a circle rapidly inscribing itself in the sand before a pillar of flame shot up in an attempt to cook the beast.
Mmm. Black hellfire. Sure is nice for the soul, isn't it? Oh nooo, Anzu's chain got fired at Jazz. She's using this on Amelie.
Southern Cross: Anzu marks an area around her opponent. A circle, specifically. A pillar of black flames erupts upwards from this circle, threatening to engulf her foe in flames that seem to burn at their very soul/core, leaving their defenses lowered for two turns. Three turn cooldown.
Abyssal duration - 2/3.

Things were, no doubt, getting very interesting. Not to say, kinda dire for Amy; the fact that she was hopelessly outnumbered began to wear down on her. It was only a matter of time until she was defeated, even though she wasn't going down without a fight. And without having some fun, that is!
Right now, she had Anzu's summon chomping her ass™️, and had to take care of a veritable meteor shower and whatever Mephistomon X was attempting to do by drawing a circle on her mere feet. It might've counted as cheating, but hey. Who said that a two on one battle was fair, to begin with? For an instant, Heraldmon's data completely froze as the aberration remained unmoving, almost tranquil in the wake of the veritable beating it was about to take.
Which it did, mind you. A combination of the infernal's punch, Jazz's Star Shower and Anzu's Southern Cross manage to leave the impact point as a smoky, smoldering crater, with Heraldmon's own body at its epicenter. What could be said about that? Well, it looked crispy, even though she was still standing up and looked far from defeated.
With any luck, however, that'd serve as a distraction and would make it so Jazz wouldn't notice the meteor that was about to smash the Hippogriffmon directly on her back. What else could be said at the moment?
A turning point of the fight? Maybe, maybe not. Only one thing could be said for sure, though; imitation was undoubtedly the sincerest form of flattery. —Amelie's is using reboot (the card) on herself.
—Then gets hit by everything. Ouchie.
—Then attacks Jazz with Abyssal. You can check what it does in Akemi's profile.

The intensity of the battle had escalated as it progressed. Right next to Akemi, Katherine stared at the exchange developing in the blue sky above the beach, her hand clenched into a fist. It was stressing to see Jazz shooting all of those stars towards Heraldmon, mainly because she knew that, remaining immobile, it was only a matter of time for her partner to become the target of the monster’s counterattack.
Jazz kept shooting her stars across the whole set of motions developing throughout the next minute. Regardless of Amy’s movement speed or its direction, the burst of energy would keep going towards her, trying to cause the maximum amount of damage before the inevitable happened.
… until it did. Not being able to do anything else but shooting at her enemy, Jazz was far from noticing the giant rock falling from the sky. She knew Heraldmon’s attack was coming, it was just that she never thought it could come from above, in the form of her best friend’s technique. The speed the projectile moved with was astonishing and, when the Hippogriffomon finally noticed its existence, it was too late.
Engulfed in flames, the meteor struck the beast’s back, making Jazz let out a squeal of pain that echoed throughout the beach. Katherine’s eyes widened and a loud gasp escaped her. Abyssal didn’t stop its course for a second; the massive meteor kept pushing Jazz through the air as her tamer just stared, waiting for what couldn’t be stopped.
Sooner than later: Impact. Jazz crashed against the sand, just below the massive ball of fire that imploded upon contact. Pieces of stone flew through the air and disintegrated as they did. Another loud moan of pain escaped the beast, echoing throughout the shoreline.
Jazz had taken a straight hit from Heraldmon, a digimon that exceeded her greatly in terms of power. If Amelie was aiming for a turning point in this battle, it had happened.
When the cloud of sand dissipated, a completely still Cho-Hakkaimon laid on the sand. Jazz’s suit showed the consequences of the damage suffered by Hippogriffomon.
Her eyes widened slowly. She could feel the air escaping her lungs and her body shaking. Those green pupils got significantly smaller and... Katherine yelled. She yelled as hard as she had ever yelled, prolonging that cry as long as her voice allowed her to.
“JAZZ!”
Combat log:
Jazz shoots stars through the whole turn until she takes a straight hit from Abyssal and rip.
