The bond that transcends reality [Akemi/Amelie/Asher]

Post by Akemi & Anzu on Feb 26, 2020 21:23:42 GMT
The last time Akemi had ever witnessed a battle of this magnitude had been during their visit to that city with the Duskmon. Unfortunately, the name had escaped her at this very moment. Another instance?
The Yatagaramon. Though this was going on far longer than that brief scuffle ever did. And as it stood, Amy was actually taking far more punishment than that bird ever did. Southern Cross, Star Shower, they all hit Amelie head on.
...Why, though?
Why would she just let them hit her? That was something that puzzled Akemi. She didn't know Amy had the Reboot card, nor did she know what that card did. She just wondered what the reasoning behind this logic was.
And then Amelie stole Anzu's move and hit Jazz with a meteor. What else would Anzu's reaction to this be but actual fury? In the golem's final turn of life, it was going to try loosing a kick for Heraldmon, while Anzu flew for Jazz. She wasn't sure if the pig girl was okay, but...
If that was her move, then she had to get her away from the crash site. The golem goes for one final kick before it crumbles. Anzu moves to go help Jazz. She's hoping a golem isn't waiting for her there.

Well… that maybe had gone a tad too well. Given it was the first time Heraldmon itself had used Anzu’s technique, it wasn’t aware it could be so… destructive. Nevertheless, the meteor smashed upon the ex-hipogriffomon mercilessly, leaving Jazz’s devolved farm pretty much unconscious on the floor, with Anzu rushing to help her.
Amelie’s consciousness regained a rush of lucidity as Reboot took effect, restoring the aberration’s body to its state before the previous flurry of attacks hit. For a couple of seconds, it remained immobile while trying to truly gauge the extent of the situation in front of it. Sure, it didn’t take a genius to know what was the obvious decision to make, yet… it was still somewhat surprising, considering that, thus far, Amelie thought she was losing on this small spar.
A ring of data enveloped Heraldmon’s form soon after Anzu’s action, instantly undoing the evolution while, at the same time, the abyssal’s body solidified and crumbled harmlessly on the floor. The girl did her best to dust herself off while stretching her sore muscles a bit.
“I guess we can call this sparring session off.” She said while trudging towards Asher and Loire’s location. “I had enough for today, honestly.”
Attacking an unconscious digimon was definitely pushing things too far, anyway. The brunette would leave the digimons and their tamers to tend to their injured while she sat beside her boyfriend and daughter.

The mess of sheer anxiety Anzu was right now and the situation developing at the outside world couldn’t reach Jazz’s insides. Now, the digimon had her own struggle to face, even if what everyone could see was a knocked-out Cho-Hakkaimon. Jazz opened up her eyes to find herself standing up in the middle of a room covered by a soft, pink light. She had trouble differentiating the floor from the walls since the whole chamber was absolutely empty. While she didn’t know what lied beyond these walls around her, she felt trapped. Knowing she had a fight to go back to, the pig-girl summoned her Roketto-Dingpaa and started… striking the walls with it. Sadly, she didn’t seem to be accomplishing anything. “Come on…! She managed while launching her attack. "... I need… to get out of here!”
Suddenly, a gust of wind coming from one of the walls simply made her bounce backward. The strength of this had been enough to make her roll through the spotless floor. At the moment, she could only think she was the victim of one of Amy’s weird techniques. This thought would change abruptly when she heard a voice coming from inside the room. “Ugh. Why do you always want to break everything?”
When she turned, a bit startled by the sudden presence, the Cho-Hakkaimon immediately realized who this was. This digimon had suddenly appeared. She was not here a moment ago. “Shut up!” The pig-girl exclaimed while walking by the Lopmon talking to her, heading towards one of the walls to strike it again. “I don’t want to talk to you.” “Of course you don’t.” Sitting on the floor, the bunny just frowned while staring at Jazz, while the hog continued with her futile attempts. “But you don’t have much of a choice, do you?”Instead of delivering any kind of answer and, after finally realizing violence was not working, the Cho-Hakkaimon turned to look at the three-horned creature. “Why are you here? I got rid of you.”
A firm shook of her head anteceded the Lopmon’s sentence. “You can’t get rid of me. Even if you refuse to accept my existence.”The Cho-Hakkaimon directed a cold glance to whom she now knew was herself. “I don’t need you. Can't you understand that?”A sigh. “You might think you don’t need me. But… didn’t you just get squashed by Shisei?” Silence invaded the room. “I think you know you need… her.”The Lopmon turned her head to her left. Suddenly, another digimon had appeared inside this room. The Chohakkaimon’s eyes widened. This was a digimon Jazz had never seen. “W-Who are… you?”
A blonde warrior woman was sitting on… the air. She seemed to be casually floating, not really too interested in the argument between these two. Slowly, she opened her eyes to reveal a pair of green irises. However… she floated there, in silence. “You really don’t know?” The Lopmon giggled. “I thought you had kept my intelligence.”“Shut up!” Angrily, Jazz looked at the bunny again. “Shut up already! Don’t you understand? I don’t want to see you!”“Well, I’m a part of you, you idiot! You kind of have to deal with me!” For the first time since the encounter began, the Lopmon seemed to be getting upset. “You’re not!” Jazz yelled. “You’re not a part of me. You're not, you’re not, you’re not!” She continued. “You’re weak! You’re a feeble bunny who can’t stand against her enemies, idiot!” Memories of those words Katherine had said in Amelie's house were engraved inside of Jazz's head. “See…? Jazz wasn’t like this when I met her. She wasn’t afraid of fighting.” “K-Kath…” “I made her like this. Because I’m weak. It’s my fault she’s afraid.”"You're weak! You're scared of fighting and Jasso can't rely on you!"“Really!? And what are you!? Cause Heraldmon just mopped the floor with you, you weak piggy!” “T-That’s not--- I’m going to beat her, okay!?“ The pig-girl responded. “Are you sure!?” The Lopmon was now yelling, too. She was evidently angry now. “Because right now you’re sleeping soundly and Anzu is probably fighting that thing all by herself!” “A-Anzu…” That name caught Jazz off-guard. The Cho-Hakkaimon even stumbled back for a second. “Is defeating your enemies the only thing that matters when your friend is suffering!? You told her to fight, you told her that you needed her in order to win this and now you left her all by herself! You only care about being strong and fighting but what about those who need you!?” Standing on her two tiny feet, the Lopmon dropped all of this over the pig-girl. Silence. Her eyes wide open, Jazz just stared at the Lopmon. She was right. Everything she said was right. Jazz had not become any stronger. Jazz had lost to Heraldmon just like she did to Luke. Jazz had sent Anzu forward and now she was out cold. “Anzu…”Another voice reached Jazz. The Cho-Hakkaimon was immediately able to tell it was coming from that blonde warrior she had seen before. Slowly, the pig-girl walked up to her, while Lopmon followed. This warrior was… beautiful. She was shorter than Cho-Hakkaimon but still seemed majestic and powerful. And she was looking straight at Jazz. The hog remained quiet for a couple of seconds before letting escape some words. “Y-You… want to help her too.” Almost as if had read this warrior’s mind, Jazz knew what she wanted. The woman responded with a nod. Slowly, the Cho-Hakkaimon looked below. “And you… too.” She said, staring at the Lopmon. The bunny nodded too. “You! I need your power! A swift movement and Cho-Hakkaimon was grabbing the blonde girl's hands, looking at her again. "Maybe I can get up if you give your strength to me!” Now, Jazz didn’t seem to care about defeating anyone. “I’m going to help Anzu! Please…! “ She begged. “If you don’t think I’m ready then just… lend that power to me. But please, let me help her!” This was the request of a desperate friend. "Jasso and I promised to stick to our word. I can't back down now!"
Although Anzu had rushed to help Jazz, it seemed that, for Amy, the battle was over. With the golem gone, Katherine was about to rush towards her partner too. However, the sight of a burst of light emanating from the hole Jazz had made with her body by plummeting into the sand stopped the Spaniard in her tracks. From there, everyone could see that Jazz (her body covered by a glowing, yellow light) had started reincorporating. It was likely Amy wouldn’t even be able to finish the second sentence she had in her head. When Jazz opened up her eyes, she was back at the beach. She could feel a warm sensation going through her body. What was this… new power? “I-it’s a shame…” While she could feel her body healing very slowly, Jazz still had trouble speaking. Probably the air inside of her was still missing after that hit she had taken. “J-Jazz…” Katherine just stared at her partner, her green irises affixed on the Cho-Hakkaimon. “It’s happening.” “… It’s really a s-shame… Shisei..." A pause. "... That I haven’t done enough merits to make you wait a little longer before calling a battle against me over so quickly.” Jazz managed while her body started… changing. Her data was decomposing and taking a new form in front of them. “… Let’s… see... if I can change that.”This burst of light ended up engulfing Cho-Hakkaimon completely, blinding everyone at the beach by a couple of seconds. When it faded? A new digimon stood in front of everyone. Golden hair; White, long wings; a blue hood, pink boots; a sheathed sword and a staff. Silence invaded the beach for a moment. It was the warrior herself who broke this. “I don’t have much time, Anzu.” She admitted, her green eyes trailing towards the Mephistomon, who should be not too far from her. “But… I think I can do it.” Her voice? It was a lot more mature. It was firm but also… very calming. This creature was not here to bring war. She was here to bring justice. Almost unable to move, Katherine just stared at the scene developing in front of her eyes. “Jazz has evolved into a Perfect-Level digimon, Mrs. Katherine. The DNA can only occur when the two digimon fusing are at the same stage.” It was Bastian’s voice that broke Katherine’s reverie. “I'm not sure about Jazz being able to maintain that form for long. They must do it now.” The robot posited. Almost at the same time, both Katherine and Jazz addressed Akemi and Anzu respectively. “Let’s try it now, Anzu. Let’s DNA!”
“Let’s try it now, Akemi. Let’s DNA!”

It was indeed way too early to call the fight, but Anzu honestly didn't care about trivial drivel like that at the moment, she was too busy trying to see if Jazz was okay. But...Why? "Wake up. Please..." She had no way of healing the ChoHakkaimon. She had no way of actually helping her up. Such was her lot in life. It was frustrating. It was more than frustrating, it was actually vexing her to no end. If she had blood vessels, you'd bet she'd have popped one by now with the blistering anger she felt. And yet she...she heard words. Akemi was about to rush in with Katherine, too. Until a burst of light burst through from the smoke, a burst of light that Akemi had seen all too much to not know what it signified. Something had been triggered, something had come from this match after all outside of Anzu's true form. The Mephistomon X took but a single step back before she beheld a D'arcmon. A familiar sight to be sure, but this was a different sort of angel. Where there would be crimson cloth, there was only sapphire. This wasn't just any D'arcmon, this was... Jazz. "You don't need to think. You only need to do." The demon told her rival. This was...sure to be a rather paradoxical union, but it had to be done. The levels were the same. Their intent was the same. Everything had led up to this very moment. Akemi meanwhile quietly beheld what was developing in front of her. Jazz had finally shed the form of the pig girl for now, and she and Anzu seemed like they were about to do it. In fact, all that was even needed was confirmation. Confirmation that was given by both Katherine and Jazz speaking in sync. The response uttered by the tamer and her digimon? "You've got it!" Anzu reached out to grab Jazz's hand as a magic circle formed around them, and purple runes drew themselves allover Anzu's body, and potentially Jazz's own, before a column of light, surprisingly enough, tore it's way free from the circle and towards the sky, the cores of Mephistomon X and CefiroDarcmon spinning around in tandem with enough force to kick up a tornado of sand. The cores got ever close, until they touched. Two became one. The tornado grew even more violent, with Akemi actually moving to hold onto Kath for support/dear life, before it suddenly came to a close. Standing at the epicenter of that, was... A woman. A woman clad in gold, scaled armor, shrouded in a serpentine helmet that sat atop a braided pair of cerulean twin tails. Half her waist was obscured by a cloth that extended to the ground, but it seemed she had a strange mix of spats and legplates, too. And this all obscured a Digimon that could only be described as paradoxical in her very creation. She was kneeling, and clutching a sword as sharp as it was wide. She stood up and yanked the sword from the sand, a fanged grin appearing on her face before an ominous giggle escaped her lips. "I've been waiting almost a whole fucking year for you slowpokes to get to this part."

Interestingly enough, Amelie would find herself at odds with the words she had just muttered. It was both funny and amazing how things turn around from one moment to the next. In the end, that was what digimons were about.
She stopped midway through her treading once Jazz addressed her, changing her form into one she had yet to see. A D’arcmon, even though her color scheme was pretty different from the usual. It was a brief, but what happened next was nothing short of amazing. An union between two beings that she had only heard about in the past. Something that she had heard about, yet never witnessed. The so-called jogress.
Overall, the process was pleasant to watch, and the result was nothing short of impressive; Minervamon stood proud in front of the human, a challenge issued. Regarding the brunette? She just stood there, clapping at the new appearance in front of her.
“Almost a year, huh? That sounds like a pretty interesting time period.” She commented with a smirk. Truth to be told, it really felt like a fair bit of time had passed on this beach. It would come as no surprise that, quite probably, everyone had moved to different pursuits. Or maybe different time periods altogether. Yet, thinking about that was more than a bit silly. Better to focus on what was happening right now.
“In any case, you did it! I don’t even know if I helped, but at least I’m glad you two could finally jogress. However.” She didn’t want to sound like a smartass, so she just moderated her tone. “This what what we were aiming for all this time. Keeping on fighting is kinda pointless, isn’t it?”
Unless she had misunderstood the point of their spar, this is where things should end, hopefully. “We can enjoy the rest of our day at the beach now.”
Guess the only question that remained was if there was anything else pressing to do at the moment. Else, the group could hopefully just relax.

In due time. Both Amelie and the whole group of spectators would learn the word relaxing had no place in anything Minervamon was involved. While Amelie spoke, the Goddess swung her blade aggressively from one side to the other, testing the capabilities of this new form.
“W-What is… that digimon?” Having seen both humanoids and monstrous creatures in this world, Katherine had to admit she couldn’t compare this one to anything she had seen before. Slowly, she released her grip from Akemi, knowing the burst of energy that had emanated from the evolution had waved off.
“They… did it, Misu.” Bastian noted. Although she was able to hear him, Katherine’s green eyes were just fixated on Minervamon. She was both majestic and terrifying. She looked like she could bring peace and war. She undeniably resembled the combination between Jazz (the true Jazz, not the crazy pig one!) and Anzu.
The goddess nailed her sword to the sand and clutched her own fists, continuing to appreciate her new form. “I don’t… know.” She muttered, once Amelie was done talking. “Something feels odd.” The warrior added while looking at the blue-eyed and tilting her head.
“My name is Minervamon.” She immediately pointed out, turning her head towards Akemi and Katherine, who remained mesmerized.
“H-her voice…” This digimon’s voice sounded like both Jazz and Anzu’s voice were speaking over each other, at the same time.
Slowly, this new creature started making her way towards the pair of tamers. As she walked, everyone could see parts of her image disappeared for splits of second and other areas of her body seemed to be… buzzing. Almost like static on an old TV. Katherine just stood there, her eyes wide open.
Once she got to them, she extended her right hand, a glow of light conjuring over her glove. When the light faded, two white cards hovered over her palm. Minervamon crouched to offer them to the girls.
“What are you waiting for? Take them!”
Katherine obeyed and rushed to grab the card. A white playing card. Based on what she remembered about regular playing cards in the Human World, she could tell it displayed an image similar to the Queen of Hearts on one side and another similar to the King of Hearts on the other.
“I’ve been waiting for quite a while to give you those.” Minervamon admitted while neck cracking. “Thank God for liquid time, because I don’t even know the state of this ship anymore.” She added unceremoniously before reincorporating. As she did, the lack of stability of her data became more evident.
“What’s wrong with her?” Nei asked, looking at Bastian.
The robot remained quiet for a while, staring at the goddess. “I would say her data is currently very unstable. This form might break at any second unless we manage to stabilize it.”
Katherine went out of her reverie to look at Bastian. “Why is she unstable?” The Spaniard asked.
“I’m not sure. It might be related to Mrs. Jazz getting her Perfect form just a minute ago. She's now using it to merge with another digimon, which represents a new modification in her structure. Her data has gone through too many changes in a very short span of time.” The robot theorized. “We need to keep pushing Minervamon to her limits so she can get used to this new form and Jazz’s data adapts to her new limitations. Otherwise, they might not be able to repeat this in the future.” A pause. Did that mean…?
“The fight must go on a little more.”
Figured.
Slowly, a smirk was drawn on Minervamon’s face. She moved her head to look at Amelie. “Convenient, huh?” The goddess playfully showed her tongue.
Katherine looked at her friend too, putting her hands together in a soliciting manner. Of course, Amelie just wanted to enjoy her day at the beach but… she had agreed to help them until the end of this, right? The Spaniard was almost embarrassed to ask but… “… Please…?”
“I mean….” Minervamon started bouncing on the same spot, shaking her limbs and getting ready for round 2. “… I honestly don’t know how fighting fiercely against a powerful enemy doesn’t equal a fun day at the beach for you but…” Having finished her short warm-up, the goddess stopped moving. “It certainly does for me, sweetie.”
“Come on! Let’s get this over with another worldwide crisis that kills everyone’s muse for 3 months or more happens again.” She declared, yanking her sword off the sand. A green aura started circling around her body.
“W-What is she… talking about?” Progressively, Katherine was starting to notice how many of the things Minervamon said were complete incoherencies for her.
“I… have no clue.” Bastian answered.

In the end, it seemed that things wouldn’t be as easy as Amelie had presented them. Sure, she didn’t fully know how jogress evolution worked, and hadn’t ever participated in one of those herself. But, from what she could observe, Minervamon didn’t seem to predominantly be neither Jazz nor Anzu. An entirely new being, composed of the melding of both their forms, rather than two different consciousnesses living within the same digicore? Utmost fascinating.
That was overall fine, but it seemed like there was still an underlying problem in this whole situation; apparently, Minervamon’s form wasn’t precisely stable. That, and she sounded like a Deadpool expy. Neither of those were precisely good things, at least in Amy’s mind. In the end, the solution for this problem was a simple one; the two of them had to fight for some more time.
Did that bother the brunette? Not in the slightest, to be honest. She shrugged nonchalantly at Minervamon sticking her tongue towards her, then followed with a dismissive wave towards Katherine’s pleading gesture. “I don’t really mind fighting if there’s a reason for it, unlikely feisty snake-hat over there.” How was she supposed to call her, anyway? Janzzu? Anzz? Truly, the most puzzling question of recent times.
“But, in all frankness, and as much as I appreciate the flattery going in my direction I doubt she’s gonna get pushed to her limit. I’m hopelessly outgunned right now.” Her tone was matter-of-factly; neither complaining nor particularly excited about what was about to happen… at least for the time being.
Hand firmly gripping her D-Tector, she stared at the newly-evolved digimon somewhat dumbfounded. “I’m not sure what kind of kool aid you drank, but if you really want a piece of this.” The brunette proceeded to blow a raspberry at Minervamon. “You’ll have to come and get it. No way I’m rushing forward to get my ass kicked, y’know?”
It would no doubt be an entertaining fight. And, besides, it’d be her first time fighting an ultimate-level, of all things. It could only be a learning experience, and a potentially valuable lesson for future endeavors. After all, nobody knew what could happen in the future.

"That Digimon's...something I've read about, once upon a time." Akemi admitted. "There's a set of thirteen Digimon that resemble mythological figures from Greece, and that...seems like one of them?" Akemi mused partially to herself and partially towards Kath as she went with her to take one of the playing cards. "What...are these for, exactly?" It was probably a dumb question...
But also one of the MANY that she had, like what Liquid Time (TM) was or what the state of a ship was... "Don't worry about it." Minervamon said with...well, nobody could see her face, but she probably winked, right?
Regardless, it was abundantly clear that mythological figure or not, this entity was being driven by some sort of madness that reached past a few planar walls and a few more. It was something that might end up driving Akemi to have a headache. "...I think it might be a bit more than that, but let's make sure that this thing's stabilized before anything else."
Which obviously meant continuing the fight. And since SOMEONE wasn't going to rush in to get an ass whoopering..."Well, in that case, you non-Kool-Aid drinker..." Minervamon growled out like a bad rapper. She would then burst into a sprint, her blade raised and poised to strike Amy! "I'll come as close as I want!" Wow, she was really dipping into some shitty memes, huh?
Regardless, it seemed like she was all too eager to make the first attack here, as winds kicked up around Minervamon! Gosh, golly, I'm supposed to list attacks?
I’ll SPLIT YOU IN TWO!: Minervamon rushes an opponent down in an attempt to bring her sword down upon them! It doesn’t actually have the risk of splitting someone in half, but it still hurts to be struck by this technique!

For some reason, Amelie was starting to think Minervamon and her wouldn’t be in the best of terms, but that was probably because the two had very strong personalities, and those never tended to mesh all that well. In any case…
“I hope you fight better than what you rap, else this fight ain’t gonna be a lot of fun.” Nonetheless, taunting a digimon that was so prone to get ahead of herself was fun. As much as that fact would come to bite her in the ass eventually. “I’m still waiting.”
It was then when the goddess rushed at the brunette, fully intending to not-quite split her in two. A half-defiant, half-entertained expression made its way towards the young woman’s face as a ring of fractal code began to swirl around her left hand. A transformation sequence later, Heraldmon was back in full force, navigating onwards just to… receive the brunt of the attack? Of course, things weren’t as simple as that; it was a trick that Minervamon was probably already familiar with. She’d briefly see herself in place of her foe before striking, such an event causing at least a decent deal of recoil.
Regarding the aberration, though? Being on the receiving end of a mega-level attack was something she had experienced a few times before, and didn’t make this exchange any less painful. —Reality Hemorrhage: Reality warps and bends around this digimon, changing the perception of its own self and its opponent. The next time this digimon would receive damage, whoever caused that damage is subject to the same amount of damage. Duration: up to 5 posts. Cooldown: 2 posts.

Finally, what would hopefully be the last battle of the day, had begun.
Even if Minervamon wouldn’t eventually become Amelie’s favorite digimon, the Goddess did seem to like the Frenchwoman a lot. Had this been carried over to her through the fact both Anzu and Jazz were very fond of Amy?
Whatever was the case, Minervamon seemed to be enjoying the blue-eyed’s combative side a lot more. “Now we’re talking!” She declared while slashing that sword down onto Heraldmon.
While she seemed to have succeeded in causing damage to the monstrosity the brunette had become, it seemed like Amy had pulled one of her tricks while the technique struck. The Goddess flinched, immediately holding her belly as if she were going through a massive stomach pain.
“Ow. Ow… Ow! Ow! Ow!! Ouch!! This hurts…! It hurts so much!”
Katherine immediately knew what this was.
“Amy is projecting the damage she suffered into Minervamon.” The green-eyed had seen this technique in action just too many times!
“Oh. The pain…! The paaaaaiiiin…!!” Jazz and Anzu’s fused form squealed, only to suddenly interrupt her howling and blowing half-of a raspberry to the monster. “… not really ~.” She noted playfully, making a ‘peace and love’ sign with her left hand as any display of pain from her expression and physical language just disappeared.
“It didn’t… work?” It was hard to know with Minervamon but… She didn’t seem to have actually felt any kind of pain whatsoever from Heraldmon’s trick! “How did she do that?” Katherine blinked twice.
For the time being, and although smugly enjoying her little comeback, static seemed to still be present around the Goddess’ body. This, of course, didn’t stop her from launching her next blow!
Minervamon bounced back, gaining some distance from Heraldmon and swinging her sword midway through her jump, launching a brutal gust of black wind towards the creature. If the girls had felt the wind deployed by Jazz earlier was strong, this was on a completely new level. Surprisingly, none of the spectators could be damaged by it.
-[Ram Upgrade] [Passive-ability] Unavoidable!: If Minervamon performs a damaging ability this turn, such ability cannot be affected, avoided, or hindered by any non-damaging ability. Cooldown: 2 turns.
-Black Wind: Minervamon swings her sword once, in a manner so fierce that the very wind from the slash threatens to carve an opponent to shreds!
There are cooldowns happening. 2 lazy 2 count tho.

It was a weird situation. It was undeniable that, at least at the very start, Amelie hadn’t been particularly excited about the prospect of facing a hopeless situation. However, the notion was oddly liberating, in a sense; if trying to change the obvious outcome was as likely as trying to block the sun with a pin’s head, might as well make the best out of this situation, right?
While the aberration didn’t precisely appreciate have an indistinct section of itself sliced open, at least that had been moderately effective against Minervamon. The question was, however; would that be enough?
Lying in a situation like that was pointless; it was almost assuredly a no. Luckily —or unluckily, depending on how you saw it—, the digimon wasn’t able to perceive any of her foe’s various taunts; instead Heraldmon readied itself for whatever came next; something that happened to be no more and no less than a gust of foul wind. Heraldmon disappeared erratically, yet found itself unable to move outside of the attack’s wake. Inconvenient was a bit of an understatement regarding this predicament, yet the aberration did its best to weather the gust as she moved point-blank and discharged a strong current of electricity in the ultimate-level’s direction. Most likely a vain effort, but better than to go down without putting a fight, right? Heraldmon tried to avoid Minervamon's Black Wind. It didn’t work. Rip; however, it uses the momentum to close the distance that separates them.
Then she uses Volemic Ignition on Minervamon.
Volemic Ignition: Electricity courses through the digimon, ready to be discharged through 'hot spots' on its body. The charge burns so hot that unfortunate victims will begin to feel their blood boiling, dealing immense amounts of pain. Possesses short-range capabilities if the electricity arcs, otherwise it may be used in a direct attack.
Some cooldowns or whatever.

Time itself seemed to slow for Minervamon. What should have reasonably only been a few moments...actually felt like months. Wasn't that just downright insulting? Didn't that just piss her off even more?
Why yes, yes it did. But she had made contact. "Wowee, that SURE BLOWS, doesn't it?" ...Was she not aware that Heraldmon did not give a single semblance of a flying fuck about her taunting? Yes. Maybe. But did she care? Evidently not.
The point of the matter was simple. The beast made her/it's approach, and as it closed the distance...Minervamon noted the lack of a gap between them. "Hohoho! You're trying to approach the lady with a sword? You moron! I thought the bubblegum was brain matter! I see it now for what it really is, for it's SHIT." She lapped the tip of her blade with her tongue as electricity arced through her, the fused Digimon letting out a cackle of...joy!
"Now that's more like it! I FELT that!" Now, it would be quite rude not to respond in kind. And sure, half of Minervamon was the rudest around, but the other half was a paladin. Whatever distance was left between Minny and Amy was closed in an instant as the warrior goddess began to throw slash after slash at the large critter!
...It was almost like she hadn't got wounded at all, even if she just got shocked by a rather painful attack! This is used.
-Ohohohohoho!: Can only be used if Minervamon has used at least one other technique during this combat first. Minervamon licks the tip of her sword, tasting the sweet aftermath of the battle she has taken part of until now and gaining motivation to keep going. She laughs frenetically and rams against the opponent, trying to slice them by throwing multiple slashes of her sword repeatedly at them. While she performs this technique, Minervamon gets a boost of 30% movement speed and the wounds she has sustained during this battle seem to hurt a lot less. 2 post duration, 2 posts cooldown.
Cooldowns are there. Trust in the author's ability to count!

It might really have been months, after all. Wonder who was there to blame? Hard to say, in all honesty.
As things were, this fight was proving to be fairly lopsided, but that had been its whole point, right? Yet, somehow, the fight was probably among the most exhilarating Amelie had been in a while. Weird to place why or how, though.
Similar questions could be asked regarding the nature of Minervamon’s taunts, or why in tarnation she had decided to lick her sword after slashing… that. Nevertheless, the fact that she didn’t seem to react to the terrible stench —or taste— was a fairly impressive feat on its own.
Careful consideration aside, there was still an ongoing conflict among the two digimon, with Minervamon seemingly attempting to convert Heraldmon in eldritch ceviche. Kinda disgusting, but that opinion wasn’t very important right now. The eldritch abomination tried to avoid as much of the onslaught as it could, even though such a task was virtually impossible. The slashes opened deep gashes in the digimon’s membranes. Not good, but nearly not enough to stop the fight; that still had a bit to go.
The whole deal had been a bit on the unfair side thus far, so why not even the scales a bit? A sign was promptly drawn in the sky, a meteor careening from it right away. It was aimed squarely at the armor-clad digimon, and, at least relatively speaking… it meant business. Ayyyyy Abyssal again!
Cooldowns or something.

Amy was certainly not the only one who could feel the exhilarating thrill of battle running through her body. Although the reasons for both parts involved in this combat to feel excited were probably different. While Minervamon was an absolutely War Goddess that loved fighting to the very core, Amy seemed to just be… genuinely enjoying not knowing she had a battle under complete control for once. And Katherine seemed to have gotten a grasp of this, mistaken as she could be.
Nei stared at the battle unfolding, her eyes going to Katherine and Akemi for a second. “W-What do you think?” He asked the pair.
Katherine’s green irises trailed towards the Bakumon to then go back to the battle unfolding. “This is the first time I see Amy go through so much trouble. She always seems so… dominant in every fight.” The Spaniard explained as she saw Jazz and Anzu’s fusion wave her sword madly from one side to the other. “If Heardlmon is able to feel even a little bit of the sheer power coming out of Minervamon we can feel from here, I can tell why they should be worried.” Another pause. “And… at the same time, if Minervamon has access to the knowledge of Amy that Jazz and Anzu hold, she probably knows she cannot hold anything back. Amelie has managed to pull completely unbelievable stuff without any motivation for combat whatsoever, I can’t imagine what she can become when actually interested in a battle.”
“L-Look!” Nei pointed back at the fight taking place up in the sky. A demonic circle opened up above, releasing a gigantic meteor engulfed in fire, heading towards Minervamon.
“It’s Anzu’s technique again.” Katherine glanced at Akemi.
It didn’t seem like Minervamon could stop madly attacking so… how was she going to withstand the damage from the gigantic rock about to strike her? The circle had even be positioned so this flaming meteor could strike her perfectly and, hopefully for Heraldmon, get her away from them.
As the ignited rock released by Abyss approached Minervamon, any spectator would actually notice the green wisps surrounding the goddess would turn more intense in terms of color and luminosity, even merging together to form a full aura engulfing her. An aura that turned black immediately.
“Tremolo!” Minervamon’s shout echoed around the beach. What did that mean?
“What’s… that?” Nei blinked.
“It seems to be some type of protecting aura. Probably a defensive technique Minervamon’s data triggers automatically when in danger.” Bastian explained. The robot kept his eyes on Minervamon, whose data seemed to have stabilized a lot more from this battle. Just a little more and Anzu and Jazz’s DNA would have reached a stable form, something that they could repeat in the future to fight Luke.
Bastian was, as usual, not wrong. The black aura grew in size and the energy circling around the goddess became more aggressive. When the meteor stroke? Minervamon did seem to have gone through some pain, but it was clear she had reduced the damage significantly as that energy around her sliced the rock into hundreds of pieces. Whatever was left of it would probably still summon a golem somewhere, right?
“Can you imagine…?” Minervamon started speaking while she kept attempting to slash the monster. “… trying to hurt the queen of darkness…” With each swing of her sword, Minervamon was saying something “… with the thing she’s made of!?” She laughed maniacally again as she continued to swing her blade to slice Heraldmon.
“For every move….”
“… for every trick…”
“… for every type of technique you throw at her…”
“… she has something prepared.”
“Is this… what the ultimate form of power looks like?”
Katherine asked herself as Minervamon’s laughter echoed around the beach. The legendary digimon that could stop Luke… no, that could stop the whole Dark Army, had been born.
-[Passive ability] Crescendo. Tremolo: Minervamon's aura is named Crescendo. It is a green and black aura that's surrounding her at any time, working as a shield. When Minervamon is targeted by a darkness-type kind of attack, Tremolo activates, turning the whole shield black. The shield deployed will reduce the damage that technique should inflict by 50%. As a consequence, if Minervamon is targeted by a holy-type attack, she'll take 125% of the damage it should normally inflict.
Minervamon continues using Ohohohohoho! - 2/2.
TL;DR: Minervamon has more tricks than a Swiss Army knife and can't be significantly damaged by darkness-type techniques.
Cooldowns? What are thoooose.

Well, that didn't quite work as expected. Minervamon’s defense had worked as intended, and now she was back on the offensive. Heraldmon prepared itself to withstand her opponent’s assault once again.
As her own invocation simultaneously moved to strike, reality began to warp around the two main combatants; the combination of Anzu and Jazz slashed her opponent dead on. The swordswoman would sustain the same amount of damage than her opponent, even though that’d finally do the abomination in.
The gash was too deep, and data was already seeping from it at an accelerated rate. The digimon slowly collapsed, its form shrinking until the only thing left was an exhausted brunette, laying face up on the sand. “Welp, so much for that.” She commented, a hint of strain in her voice. Her breaths were a bit on the labored side, but she seemed to be doing relatively fine. “Hopefully that was enough for the stabilization thing; I’m spent.”
It had been a fairly intense fight, all things considered, yet not one that Amelie precisely regretted; if anything, it had been a learning experience of sorts, and it served to showcase the might an Ultimate level could muster. Nothing short of amazing.
The result was predictable, and not an evil computer from another thread making a cameo could change that. It took her some seconds, but once Amy tried to stand up, she found her legs to be on the… extremely wobbly side. Even when they were supposed to be legs right now. Talk about embarrassing.
“Um, Asher?” Her tone might’ve been a little on the bashful side, but what else was to be expected? It probably didn’t matter how she asked for this, chances were she was making herself a prime target for her boyfriend’s antics. “Mind giving me a hand over here? I might have overdone myself a bit.”
Or a lot, but that was beside the point. Reality Hemorrhage. rip. words.
