"You might be right there. It's a fusion of the two so it makes sense that their knowledge would also be as one. ...And Anzu's seen Amy fight before. There's no doubt that Jazz has too..."
...But what aspects came together to make something like that? That's what Akemi wanted to know.
Something about this did not feel quite correct to Minervamon, though the question of what was correct to it was anyone's guess. As the last gash was let in, the Minervamon's diabolical laughter would finally start to die down, as she laid her blade down low.
"Ahaha...ha...Where's your white flag, huh?" The wounded warrior said, the beginnings of another laugh starting to gather on her voice before she wheezed. Okay, maybe that had taken a bit more from her than anticipated, but...
Hey, she won! They won. But mostly she!
"...I think I see what was going on there. For certain, now. Amy may be able to replicate the moves of her foes, but like any combatant she has her limits. Digivolution's already akin to a second wind, but jogressing takes the idea and drives it up to ridiculous heights..." Akemi mused aloud. It was to herself but she didn't seem to realize others could hear her.
"I think that should be enough for it. I think we have another ace in the hole!"
"Screw being stable, I wanna go apeshit! I've been here for literal years!"
...
"So now what?" Akemi found herself saying. What the heck do they do now? Obviously Asher was gonna go help Amelie, but now Akemi was looking at literally everyone present for an answer to that!

While an enthralling fight ensued, Asher stood on the sidelines with the tamers, keeping tiny Loire entertained. Could babies break easily? There were a lot of concerns here, with the whole 'parenting' type of deal. This would surely have quite the learning curve. Hopefully, after the earlier theory from Amy that Loire assumed Asher was a fish, nobody would ever actually have to tell the tiny 'mon that its parental figures were not fish. Imagine how heartbroken the baby mon would be!
Maybe Loire would find the spar interesting to watch, too. Hopefully! Otherwise, the redhead would have to overcome a whole new obstacle. But he'd much rather see his girlfriend's combat skills! Oh, and Jazz and Anzu's too. Even though he barely knew them!
Until, of course, Amelie lost. Which was kind of inevitable against something that was higher in level, wasn't it? Especially with such a bond between the two digimon! Or, some logic like that.
Hearing the brunette summoning him, Asher looked down at Loire, before carrying her over to her 'mom.' "Just a hand?" Good thing that's all she wanted, since one hand would be full of baby digimon! Or, so some sort of joke would go, until he offered the Pitchmon to her. Surely, even a wobble-Amy wouldn't reject holding such a cute baby, right?
Once he was certain the Pitchmon was securely held, the redhead would scoop them both into his arms, and start back toward the group of humans. For holding a girl that was taller than him at the time, he was carrying her quite well! As for 'what now'? Considering the sunset had been on the horizon over a year ago just before the fight, that probably meant that it was about time for everyone to begin leaving for the evening, right?
"Not trying to spoil any digivolving celebrations but," of course somehow Asher would be the spoilsport here, "we should probably head out." Lifting up the Amelie-Pitchmon combo a bit higher, to not-so-subtly point out that Amy seemed just a bit tired, he continued on with, "it's going to get dark soon anyway."
Would everyone else agree this was a good ending point to the exciting day?

As the drive to keep fighting and growing in power from at least one of the tamers faded, Minervamon’s hunger for chaos seemed to diminish too. Although being the representation of disarray herself, it seemed that a lot of CefiroDarcmon’s honor had stuck to her. She was not willing to keep hitting a dismayed foe at all. Much less one of her best friends and partially her mentor. While Heraldmon plummeted to the sand, Minervamon graciously landed over the same surface, nailing her sword on the sand and putting one hand on her hips. She looked at the bright sun above and scuffed. “I really hope Luke can push me to my limit…” The goddess noted loud enough for anyone to hear, right before lowering her tone of voice considerably, so Amy was the only one who, if conscious, could listen to the second part of the sentence. “… because , if he doesn’t, I’ll certainly lose to you when you reach ultimate, Shisei.”
Then? She laughed maniacally a little bit more, as Katherine rushed by her and went to aid her friend, too. Asher, of course, was also there. The rest of events at the beach went through with little to write home about. As Asher carried Amelie back to the vehicle and before the girls took the portal back to Deeplane, Katherine will show a smile to Akemi and would hold her hand. “I know Jazz couldn’t have done this without Anzu.” She noted, blushing a little bit. “And I…” Okay, maybe blushing a lot. “… Couldn’t have done any of this without you, Akemi.” Letting Akemi little room to reply to that, she pulled from her hand and rushed towards Minervamon, who was… destroying Nei’s sandcastle with the slashes of her sword as she laughed maniacally. “The goddess of dismay is here! Suffer, inhabitants of the sand world! Woosh! Woosh!” “Minervamon!” Katherine shouted, tightening up the grip on Akemi’s hand, who, hopefully, remained next to her. “Thank you.” The Spaniard reaffirmed with a smile, as the goddess stared at her a bit surprised. “I’m sure…” Then, the green-eyed bowed respectfully, hoping Akemi did the same too. “… You’ll be the one who’ll defeat Luke!”
During said bow, Katherine would unavoidably end up facing the ground, losing sight of Minervamon for a couple of seconds. When she reincorporated… the warrior lady was there no more. Only a Tsukaimon and a Lopmon laid fast asleep on the sand. The day was over.
Whenever Amelie was feeling better, whether it was at her office in Deeplane or at her room back in Shibuya, she would find a hand-written note over her desk. The calligraphy was delicate and feminine and it seemed to have been folded and placed there very carefully. "I’m only now realizing I could have probably left a message in your D-Terminal.
Huh. Well! Hand-written things have a special value linked to them, don’t they? Not that you’re not allowed to throw this away, though.
I decided to write a note because you always mock me when I get all sentimental in person. This way I won't have you giggling at my face!
… You’re still going to laugh at me when we meet in person, aren’t you? Ugh!
Well, that should be quite soon, as Jazz and I should be visiting in the next few hours after you read this.
In any case, since you like to be concise, I promise I’ll be, too.
Thank you.
Thank you for always being there. At the race when Ebirdramon almost killed me. In your room when the gems took me there after Luke appeared. Ready to fight Minervamon needed to be stabilized.
Just… Thank you. For everything.
I promise to always be there for you too. No matter what.
… Oh. And we’re so going to win this war!

One could call it one last act of defiance in what had otherwise been a complete defeat, but Amelie couldn’t help but grin fiercely at Minervamon. “Even if he does, I hope you savor this event. I don’t plan on this situation repeating ever again.”
In the grand scheme of things, this had been a fight with a foretold result; Amy’s chances of winning since the beginning had been zero percent, but it wasn’t like that was a bad thing, either. The stakes had been nonexistent, besides a light wound to the brunette’s ego and—quite possibly, a somewhat bigger injury to Asher’s own patience once the three were in the privacy of her car.
She probably was going to ramble talk at length about this afternoon, wasn’t she?
In any case, the fallen woman’s call for help would be answered promptly, even though not really in the way she expected. After a confused glance towards him, she extended her arms in order to receive Loire, only to be… completely lifted up after the fact. Least to say, that confused look turned into one of utter surprise.
“Becoming a dad hit you quite hard, huh?” It usually took a lot more to summon Asher’s gentle side! Then again, maybe Amy was just being dramatic. In any case, she wasn’t gonna complain a lot about this arrangement; one could say that, in fact, she quite liked it! Nevermind the fact that she felt hella tired.
“I feel like that’s a good idea.” She accompanied Asher’s words with her own, even though those seemed more like background actions while Loire held her full attention. “We can discuss today’s developments tomorrow, or something.”
With some luck, the only male present wouldn’t need further prompting to begin retracing their steps toward the car; especially considering that he seemed quite eager as well!
It had been quite a long day, hadn’t it? What followed next—fancy letter included, assuredly deserved a more thorough reaction by the time of their next meeting. [Exit]
