Ophelia would think over Gryz' and Tetsu's responses to her questions, as they rode along. So they had a visitor tomorrow? And they were wondering why she thought that Gajuma isn't the attacker...
`its not really any specific theory - just what my gut says honestly. zam doesnt think that gajumas behind it - and i kind of agree. he doesnt sound like a liar or schemer, and you beat him, so my gut instinct wants to say that hes not behind this. how should i go about talking to gajuma and his tribe? zam suggested visiting him tomorrow morning.
can you tell me a bit about prof kalor, by the way? whatre theyre like?'
Not long after this, her ears would prick a little, at hearing Bero on the radio - talking about the cave, well, being a shithole from the sounds of things. Ophelia's ears would twitch a bit as she wondered for a second, before she pressed the push to talk, asking "What happened in there, Bero? Did you find anything? Are you hurt?" If a teammate was hurt, she was willing to bail to aid him - even if Bero was an ass, she wouldn't want to see him get hurt! Especially since that'd mean she wouldn't get a chance to spar or goof off wrestling with him!
As other tribe members greeted Ophelia, waved to her, and even sniffed at her - Ophelia would perk up, smiling brightly, and respond in kind. She'd wave right back to them, call "Hello!" with a friendly and excitable tone, and would sniff right back as well - curious about the scents in the air, wanting to familiarize herself with the scents of Akala's tribe as well as she could. Everyone seemed so friendly, though - and she couldn't help but feel similarly jolly and friendly right back! If it weren't for the climate, she imagined that Laertes would really like it here... Speaking of climate though - Ophelia was beginning to wonder if there shouldn't be an ice bath in the shelter. Sure, she hated getting wet - but giving people a way to cool off quickly without setting the AC down real low might be helpful.
As for the questions, Ophelia would hum at the mention of Gozon. So he's been missing for quite awhile, even though he had bodyguards following after him... She was unsure of whether she could necessarily sniff him out if it's been that long, but she'd still ask more questions - asking "Do you know which way they were last seen going? Or what path they were planning to take, or something like that? Or do you guys have something that might still have his or his pals' scents on it?" Even if tracking by scent wasn't an option, maybe if she had an idea of where to start, they could search for other signs! A Flarizamon sounded like a firey digimon, so he might've left tracks or scorched foliage he passed by - and if a Tuskmon or Tyrannomon was anywhere near as big as Akala was, surely there'd be tracks here and there, right? And if she knew their scents, she could probably still sniff them out if they've been thru somewhere recently! With the mention of Unvana though, Ophelia would nod, mentioning "It might still be worth asking a few questions to her, after, if she's okay with it."
As for Gajuma, and Akala's theory that there's a fourth party... Ophelia would hum for a second, visibly thinking it over... A fourth party, possibly one trying to frame Gajuma? That's what her first thought about a possible fourth party was, at least - though she was unsure, for the time being. Nonetheless though, she would nod in acknowledgement, listening as Akala gave some advice to talking to Gajuma. The notion of fighting the lieutenants made her eyes light up in a certain way, and her tail quiver - she hasn't had a good fight in a long while, and so the notion of getting to square off against one of them seemed to excite her a hair. Which... Given that she's never digivolved beyond Child stage before, was probably not something she should be getting excited about - but when was the last time that Ophelia was one for moderation?? "What are his lieutenants like? Do you think we could ask them questions, too?"
Instead, she'd listen as Akala spoke about Gin spotting suspicious doppelgangers - ones that had both bones like Gajuma, and skulls on their bellies like Akala... Ophelia would frown, thinking deeply for a few moments, before she recalled something. The bones, before - and the scorched up area... "... Actually, earlier, while patrolling around the shelter, I found a weird scene; arm and spine bones, with scorch marks scattered round the place like there was fighting, or something was being burned." She'd mention - before asking "Do you know where Gin saw these possible doppelgangers? And do you think I could ask him about it, too?"
And at the mention of a thermal vent, with plans to make a tunnel connector, Ophelia's ears would prick up. Was that the cave that Bero had been going to? Or something unrelated...? And Lavatenga... Thankfully, Bero sounded pretty sane and calm on the radio before, even if he was... Well.. Being Bero - but a teammate going berserk could've gone pretty badly, even if she's been wanting to spar with Bero at some point!
At Akala's apology though, she would shake her head. "No, that's okay! I'm still learning things, and this is only the first day - I imagine we'll find out more as time goes on!"

That's a bit too vague if you ask me, but then again we KIZNA values the heart as much as we do the brain. You're not alone in your instinct. However, even if we believes so... the truth might not be like that. That's why keep doing this little investigation, Ophelia. Thank you for trying to see the bigger picture.
Also, Professor Kalor is a Weatherdramon. He hails from Rustport, and was someone who researched thermal barrier. Rustport are very hot and you know how it goes. Until KIZNA contracted him, he's lacking funds and as you see... it cannot further his research. Then, once we heard about him from the locale, we proposed it to Yuuki who OK'd the budget and made an offer to him. The result is the thermal barrier that you enjoyed in the shelter. Well more than that I think he's just a normal professor who took huge pride in his work...
Ophelia's questions does indeed make Akala more excited to help. "Mmm, let's see, his path is to the northern part of the island, the northern edge. That area has yet really delved to be honest, but we haven't find any tribes over there. If there are any we would have some knowledge of how they dressed or how their scent are. If you ask why we haven't gone there that much, it's because the terrains over there are too uneven for trekking... However, there is lava river going there, apparently... and Gozon ability includes swimming in lava. He can do that without problem."
Anything of scent? "Uuuuhhh... I don't think so....? Gozon is pretty much odorless bar his 'burning ember' smells, but that's pretty much all fiery Digimon isn't it? As for the other two, sadly they haven't been in home much nor they left any personal belonging... But if you want to check anyway, perhaps you can ask Unvana after all? She knows where they reside."
His lieutenant? "What I know is the first one is a Stegomon named Ezon. He's the most volatile of the three. Short tempered, and usually very against outsider. The second one is an Allomon named Hizek... although I heard a report that he has evolved into a Megadramon... it might be hoax, but I have no idea. The youngest and newest of the lieutenant is a Vmon named Ares. Those three are the ones we have intel about. It's not hard to spot. His lieutenants usually have weapons with them. Hizek and Ares probably would tell you anything you want to know, but I think Ezon would be too angry to form a coherent speech if you did defeat him."
Arm and spine bones? Akala squinted as if finding an oddity.
"...That's not Gajuma's attributes at all. Gajuma just pluck teeth or nails out... defanged and declawed is enough for humiliation. Claws and teeth grows over time, and Gajuma said that if they grow their teeth and nail back they can challenge him again to reclaimm their honor, so...? ... Is this the working of an outsider after all?"
Where does Gin saw the doppleganger?
"Afraid not. Gotta ask him. The night soon will fall milady. I'm afraid if you have more business, you probably only can do another thing before the sunset... either that or to return tomorrow. Nocturnal Digimons usually would hunt out starting at evening to dawn. Admittedly, this island is far more dangerous at night than at the morning," Akala warned.

Bero had safely made his way out of the cave and made his way back to the shelter. While traveling, Ophelia asked about him, to which he gave a short but confident “i’m fine.” He’d tell her more once he had come back to the shelter. He ignored the Radio for a bit and got back to the shelter, getting rid of the bones and the lavatanga in the fridge. He had ignored any of Tadayoshi’s digimon he had possibly encountered on his way back in.
Ophelia had managed to get a little further in her conversation due to Bero opting to walk all the way back to the shelter before contacting her once more. Once he had stashed his finds and the rain plants he never used, he spoke once more into the Radio. “For starters, there were large clawed tracks at the entrance of the cave, heading out, but vanishing before somewhere they could take flight. Teleportation or something. Second, the place is filled with Lavatanga, Broken digitama which are very old… and bones you may recognise. Lastly, there was a digimon in there, stronger than I am, creating powerful heat. I had to run from him, but I saw his blue armor and yellow eyes. I got some lavatanga and dumped the stuff in the shelter fridge.”
After finishing his report he kind of resigned himself to relaxedly harvesting the last of the plants that were still due for today, mostly the breadfruit and small meat. He could make himself a sandwich as reward!... wait, since when did he care about sandwiches? He didn’t need any reward. The knowledge of some stronger fire was reward enough. And maybe he had brought back something useful with the lavatanga. He didn’t even consider if the knowledge itself would be important.

So Gozon and co went towards the north, to begin - and the north was a little more treacherous to trek, with lava rivers to boot... Personally, she was unsure if they could easily pursue them on foot, if Gozon could swim thru the rivers without a care in the world. But then again, if Gozon swam, then where did that leave his buddies? Ophelia seemed to be in deep thought as Akala answered the questions she had - it didn't seem like that she could really go off of much with scent, then - unless she went to as Unvana about Gozon and Co's disappearance...
The lieutenants, though, would make her perk visibly - it was clear she was interested in knowing what she was in for, if she wanted to fight these lieutenants. So a Stegomon, a possible Allomon or Megadramon, and a Vmon... Wait, weren't Vmons rookies? Ophelia tilted her head for a second, thinking a bit more deeply, before supposing that this must've been a REALLY strong Vmon, like Valt is! That, and Akala DID say that this Ares was the youngest and newest of the lieutenants... Either way, Ophelia eagerly nodded in acknowledgement - unable to help a small giggle at the mention of Ezon being too angry to talk, if he was defeated. She couldn't help but let her thoughts wander to Bero - which, speaking of...
She'd perk a bit as she heard the BlackGabumon in question respond over the radio, describing the cave incident. Clawed tracks that ended mysteriously, Lavatanga, broken eggs everywhere, bones... And a powerful digimon, with blue armor and yellow eyes? Her ears twitched back a second as she tried to think over what this could mean, before glancing back to Akala as he described Gajuma's attributes; which was the explanation of how the arm and spine bones didn't add up at all. The Spadamon couldn't help but cringe a hair at the mention of pulling out teeth or nails, though - that seemed like it'd hurt a whole fucking lot! "Geez..." She couldn't help but mutter to herself at the thought of it. But indeed, it seemed as though there was a fourth party involved.
Before the question of Gin and the Doppelganger though, she would speak up - mentioning "The tunnels you mentioned before... One of my friends had explored what seemed to be a cave over closer to the volcano. He described that it had a bunch of Lavatenga, some more bones - probably not claws or teeth like you mentioned with Gajuma just now - and a bunch of old digieggs. He also saw some tracks that seemed to end before anyplace they could take flight in - he personally thinks teleportation, or something like that - and he caught a glance of a big strong digimon with blue armor, and yellow eyes." She'd tilt her head a bit, scratching the side of it. "Does it sound like those tunnels you had to close up before, and do the tracks or the digimon description ring a bell of anything?"
Finally though, would come Akala's warning about heading back to the shelter before nightfall, as the island was more dangerous at night - and having perhaps one more thing to do before she'd have to go. Indeed, Ophelia would glance up to note the sun, sinking in the sky bit by bit - damn, time had flown today! She'd hum for a second though - realizing this meant she probably could only question Unvana about Gozon and co, or question Gin about the doppelgangers, which...
... While she really would like to help the tribe with finding the three - she had a bit of a feeling that, given the weird things that seemed to be going on on the island, that the trio's disappearances probably had to do with it, right? If there were dangerous digimon - possibly doppelgangers - attacking the shelter, what kept them from attacking tribesmembers who strayed too far away? Humming for a few seconds, she decided to follow with her gut. "I'd like to go talk to Gin, please." She'd mention with a small nod, before smiling brightly to Akala as she mentioned "Thank you for answering my questions, though! I'll probably be back here tomorrow, after visiting Gajuma, if I get any more questions - and probably to go talk to Unvana, too, about the missing three." Her tail would swish and sway in a pleased fashion, clearly happy about the information she had so far.
-------
With that, though, Ophelia would take the time to seek out the fabled Silver V-Dramon, and with that, came the questions for Gin. She'd start with a wave, calling "Hiya! Could I ask you some questions?" as she approached him - grinning widely and in a friendly fashion. Though she had heard from Akala that Gin was a bit dimwitted, she still couldn't help but size him up a bit - wondering if he wouldn't be fun to spar with, if things were calm tomorrow like they seemed to be today. Either way though, now wasn't the time - as much as she was itching for a fight - and so, instead, she'd ask him her questions. "Akala mentioned to me that you had seen some doppelgangers. Could you describe them to me - accessories, markings, species - and show me where you saw them?"

"That's the place, yes," Akala answered. Though... a bunch of old Digitama? "...Eh? Sorry, I don't quite get it, but I think your friend said that it was broken Digitama instead?" looks like the leader's hearing ability is quite sharp. "Well either way, things doesn't add up. There are bones, which in itself is unnatural to us Digimons, and there are Lavatanga, there are broken Digitamas... inside this cave you say? I feel really bad vibe from this... Maybe it might be prudent for you to ask your leader to send a recon unit after all...?"
...........but he then looked pensive. "...But on the second thought, if they saw yellow eyes, and blue armor... it could have been the culprit... sending recon might be bad... hmmm and tracks you say? It vanished before one could take a flight or something? My theory is they're attacked before they can run away... but... it returns to the question why are they there to begin with? Lavatanga is one of a really great treat for us, but to go to place where its spores can make you berserk, and even make you rage to point where you'll die from stress... that's serious issue. No Digimon, even amateurs, would go there without proper equipment."
Coming back here though? "Most likely you won't be able to come back here tomorrow if you go to Gajuma's side, milady. It's not that I'm saying that something will befall you, but all thing considered, going to Gajuma's side will spend you all your day time, and most likely by the time you return, it would be at nightfall."
Either way, Zam would guide the Spadamon back to the gate, where she could find Gin... and thankfully he's not alone, and there is Kin with him.
...The moment Ophelia said her question, Kin would wince, probably winced more than needed... the reason revealed soon after.
"...Doppleganger? What dopplegangers?"
"YOU BLATHERING IDIOT, I TOLD YOU TO KEEP REMEMBERING THAT SORT OF INFORMATION!! YOU TOLD THIS TO MASTER AKALA LIKE A DAY AGO!"
"...I did? Uhhh... lemme try to think..."
...This going to take a DAMN while.

When Ophelia had been told by Akala that Gin was a dimwit, she wasn't entirely sure what to expect of it. Did he just make dumb decisions? Did he sometimes misunderstand things? She was unsure of what dimwit would mean, and whether or not it'd be a problem, but... When she asked her questions, only to see Kin wince severely, well... She could already tell that it didn't bode well. Nor did Gin's response, the Silver V-Dramon seeming completely clueless on what she meant! If she didn't know any better, it might've been as though Gin had never seen the doppelgangers at all - but thankfully, Kin would be there to confirm that Gin, indeed, had seen the doppelgangers. It was just that he had, more or less, forgotten about it!
As Gin tried to remember the Doppelgangers, Ophelia would glance to Kin, then to Gin, before trying to prompt the Silver V-Dramon in hopes of jogging his memory. "Akala says you mentioned having seen some digimon who had both qualities from Gajuma's tribe, and qualities from Akala's tribe, except that the skull mark was on their belly instead of their face." She'd explain, gesturing to the indicated body parts as she spoke. She would then glance to Kin, asking him "Do you remember anything Gin might've mentioned about the doppelgangers?" If Gin ended up forgetting completely, then maybe Kin would remember some stuff about the doppelgangers? Either way, she could already tell that this was... Certainly going to be something.
Hopefully something would come of this - given that the Gajuma visit was, presumably, going to take all day... How were they going to accomplish investigating everything in three days, whilst managing the shelter...? Perhaps she could ask Yoshi and Bero about it, when she got back...

"Uuuuhhhhhhh..." that was a long uh. Gin seem to be completely out of it and Kin only can massage his head in frustration. "I'm sorry, Miss. I do remember he said something about doppleganger, but I don't really remember the details myself. There are too much thing to remember when you're with this dimwit. Honestly, if not for his strength, I don't think he would even pass as a gate guardian."
"Oh! I remember now, yes, dopplegangers!"
Is it really finally?
"They appeared somewhere near the gate once!"
"Yeah? Where?" Kin hounded.
"Uuuuuuuuhhhhh... ummmm..."
...This gonna take a long while won't it? Even the Gold Vdramon only can gnash his teeth. Hard to believe the fate of the island is depending on this dimwit. Worse he's the one that saw it because he's the one who's in the post a lot of the time.
"I think from the north."
"From the north is it? Does they looked like anyone in particular?"
"They greeted us in our usual Halle-ho, and demanded to get inside, but I know I'm dumb so I went to get you instead. They don't look like anyone in particular, only trying to pass as one of us or something... But they... uh... they wear bones too at it."
"...And how many days this was that?"
A shrug.
"Can't you pinpoint it!? A week, two week!?"
"A week ago more or less I think...? They're spotted near the northwest wall."
Considering that the tribe is on the east of the island, then northwest means the north area where Akala said Gozon gone to.
"What bones it was?"
"I... dunno? I think it was some sort of small, cylindrical bones or something..."

Ophelia was beginning to rethink the idea of Gin possibly being fun to spar - according to Kin he was indeed strong, but he was also kind of... Well... He was very much a dumbass. A dumbass like Gin didn't sound like they'd very fun to fight against, if she was honest - even if her own fighting style tended to be less logical and more pedal to the metal tenacity. Either way though, Ophelia would perk up and listen closely as Kin managed to, bit by bit, squeeze out some info from Gin. So a week or two ago the doppelgangers had come in from the north-northwest - the same direction as Gozon - and had attempted to pass themselves off as members of the tribe - though Kin, of course, was brought in to help identify them. And the bones that they wore were cylindrical bones...
"Those sound like spinal bones," Ophelia commented, scratching the side of her head as she thought. So indeed, there might've been doppelgangers who were wandering around, and potentially causing trouble... "Do you know what kind of digimon they were? I'm guessing you guys turned them away - did they put up any fuss or issue when you did it?" She would also ask - trying to think of what other info she could glean from them. "Have you guys smelled 'em or anyone like them around recently, or before this all happened?"
Geez, figuring out all these questions to ask while keeping track of all of this info was kind of hard... If Tadayoshi's crew had been here before, why didn't they ask any questions? She could've been spending this time patrolling and exploring a little!

"No, we didn't turn then away... or more like... When I was called by this guy, they're not there at the gate anymore. We have some runics on our gates, so a forceful entry, unless done by an Ultimate stage is impossible. I cannot explain more than that, Miss," Kin would say. "I did smelled the area where they appeared, but... hey, come to think of it, the area where they were smelled like mushrooms if you ask me. It can't be Lavatanga because there are no report or signs of forceful entry, but the musk is undoubtedly something that smelled similar to mushrooms. You know, if you go inside a mushroom culture room or something? It smelled like that."
Kin proved himself to be more dependable than Gin. Even Zam who honestly just looked at Gin like a father disappointed at a bastard son seem to find this information to be more precise.
"So I can't really say I have... though to be honest since I was born I never really walked away far from our settlement, miss. Maybe the north is indeed the answer... Does that help? I'm sorry but I think you should hurry too. Night is coming soon... it'll be very dangerous to trek at night, even if your eyes can see in the dark."

So they left as soon as Gin came to get Kin, then? Ophelia would furrow her brows, thinking a bit more deeply at that. Did they leave because they couldn't convince Gin to open the gates, then...? And the gates seemed to have some good security on them, too - Ophelia couldn't help but wonder how that worked, although she didn't ask - figuring that it wasn't too relevant. Instead, she would simply keep listening to Kin's explanations, to him mentioning the smell of mushrooms - albeit not necessarily lavatanga - around where the doppelgangers were when they got there. Ophelia would nod in understanding - she was familiar to the smell of mushrooms, having wandered around the Eastern Timberlands a good deal - but couldn't help but wonder what that would mean.
"... Yeah, north sorta seems to have some sort of significance." She would agree with Kin - figuring that, maybe on the third day, they'd have to wander out north and check things out; look for Gozon and his crew, and these possible doppelgangers. But indeed, as Kin stated - she could see the setting sun, and would realize she'd have to leave soon if she was to make the trip home safely. "Yeah, helps a lot - gives me a lot of shit to think over." Ophelia would remark, scratching the back of her head before she grinned to Kin and Gin. "Thanks for answering my questions, you two - n' thanks again for the ride earlier, Zam. Think it's time I start heading back, though!"
With a quick farewell to the tribe, Ophelia would set off into the jungle beyond once more - making a straight shot for the shelter, so that she wouldn't be caught up in the night. As she did though, Ophelia would press the push-to-talk on the radio. "Asked the tribesfolk a bunch of shit - seems there's been weird stuff going on on the island, the past few weeks. Heading back now, though - want me to fill you guys in now, or when I get back?" She would ask as she walked, glancing around and sniffing the air for all the scents of the jungle - visibly curious. She didn't have a lot of time to linger and check things out, but she could at least listen, look, and sniff as she walked either way.

Tadayoshi's voice was the first to answer Ophelia's, "Let's meet back here and compare notes. Bero probably has something to say, too. We haven't had any security alerts while you've been gone." OK, so Bero had encountered signs of digimon activity in the cavern. There was definitely evidence that something in that cavern system was hostile - broken digieggs. Who would even do something like that? He wondered if there was a safer way to explore the cave. Bero is susceptible to that spore, but no one on my team is. On the other hand, there's no way we can stand the heat, even in an environment suit. The young man crossed his arms. I don't like having an unknown destructive digimon in my backyard. Tadayoshi checked his watch to find it was about time to change shifts, meaning he could go to the shelter proper himself once his replacement showed up.
It did, but not who he expected. "Sir, reporting for watch."
"Lieutenant? I didn't think the captain would schedule you a shift."
"I volunteered, sir. Nobody smashes eggs on my watch." Of course, Tadayoshi found her outrage completely understandable; besides the detestable act itself, protecting the Village of Beginnings was her assignment prior to Silence.
The boy relented. "As long as you worked it out with the captain. Don't forget to rotate the drones."
"No, sir!"
Besides being a good meeting spot, there was another reason the boy was glad to be heading there: he was just hungry.

Bero was going about his chores as Ophelia’s question came in. Tadayoshi replied first, letting Ophelia know he’d like to talk here. Bero agreed with the sentiment, and knew that they might get annoyed if he said nothing at all. Tadayoshi had mentioned Bero having something to say too, so he just replied “yeah.”
He continued out on his tasks, thinking back. The others might want to avoid the cave or hunt it out, based on the presence. He couldn’t know for sure what they wanted, as that’d require him to know and estimate their abilities. The question was if he could even fight there. He’d need equipment that’d make him more heat resilient while at the same time not covering his body, as that would make it impossible for him to fight at his strength. Does that kind of stuff even exist? It’s difficult to tell.
Retrieving the last of the plants, that being the meats and bread, he placed those around the kitchen and in the fridge if necessary. They probably weren’t going to leave the shelter anytime soon. He wasn’t quite ready to sleep though, so maybe when everyone was here, he’d manage to create a little sparring to help pass the time...

As Ophelia would reach the safety of the shelter, she would let out a happy and relaxed sigh to be back in the relief of the environmental barrier. It was much cooler in here, which she was pretty thankful for, with how her thick fur wasn't exactly made for the hot environments of the island. Once there, though, she would go for the kitchen; that's where Tadayoshi seemed to have had everyone gather first, and so she figured that's where he and possibly Bero would be.
Indeed, in entering the kitchen, she'd see Yoshi and Bero - the latter seeming to be putting away some harvests. Ah, yeah, they had that garden outside didn't they? Ophelia had almost forgotten; but given that she hadn't had a chance to hunt and gather and patrol like she wanted today, the garden's bounties would probably be a godsend to make sure that she wasn't going hungry tonight. She'd also spot her badge sitting on the counter - likely left there by one of the Missimon. That would make her tail flick a hair - reminding her that she was still sort of offput at how they didn't bring the badge straight back to her, and how they handled visiting Akala... Though, she was quick to shake off that annoyance; she was here to pass on information! "Hey guys!" She'd greet them with a grin and a wave nonetheless, as she moved for the counter.
"I figure I should start with what the hell happened while I was out and about, huh..?" Ophelia would muse out loud as she grabbed her badge - affixing it to her bandana, where it belonged. "So uh, first... We had a visitor earlier! One of the councilmembers from Akala's tribe - a Monochromon named Zam. Old guy, forgetful as hell, but he's also really nice? Wanted to use the hotsprings for a bit - but we talked some, and he offered me a ride to Akala's tribe once he was done!" She'd smile a little at the thought of Zam - he seemed super pleasant. "And then once I got to Akala's, I asked Akala and the Vee-dramons at the gate some questions, and I also asked Tetsu some questions on the way there! So uhh..." She grinned a bit sheepishly, as she mentioned "I got a lot of info to dump on everyone, I guess? Trying to keep it all straight in my head's hard though - I don't think I'm exactly made for this, eheh..."

"That's OK. We aren't all here yet anyway." As if it had been on cue, Jetmon flew into the room and landed on Tadayoshi's arm, which he stretched out as a perch. "Lieutenant," was his polite greeting. The free arm was used to put the Xros Loader onto the counter. "Captain, are you listening?"
"Sir," said the Xros Loader.
"We'll just fill the others-"
"Yo!" was the completely irreverant greeting of a BlackTerriermon strutting into the room. "When's dinner, boys?"
"Well we were actually-"
"-raiding the kitchen before the rest of us, were you?" That wasn't what Tadayoshi was getting at, but the Renamon who just arrogantly strode in was glaring at the bunny, not the General.
"Shh! Before the others get here!" Six Missimon all started to slowly creep inside until Renamon, Angel, and Tadayoshi all turned and noticed them. They froze.
"Busted."
At the same time they all screamed, "It was his idea!" or, "It was her idea!" each one pointing to a different sibling.
"Honestly. All of you. We're working here." Tadayoshi's was the next stomach to grumble, though, giving him away. "...Alright, we do need to keep our strength up. But after this." Tadayoshi said to the other two next, "I apologize for the interruption."

Bero’s expression sagged notably at the excitement that Ophelia showed. That wasn’t within his area of interest at all. Sure, she had some important information, but she sounded so… joyed. It wasn’t the vibe he expected for a mission. Oh well, whatever meant she would be performing her best. But not only was she excited, The strat-Tadayoshi’s army was acting childish.
Bero rolled his eyes. He can’t believe other digimon occasionally had the gall to call his aggression and taunting childish when things like this happened on the regular. “Whatever about the interruption. Usually the first thing that I want to know is what to do tomorrow. We need to summarize every new thing we have to do and might be worth doing. I don’t want to sit around wasting our time or not being sure about what we’re doing. You can’t do a job if you’re worrying if it’s the right thing to do.”
Bero didn’t have this issue much. He never worried about what was the right thing to do. The way he got this wisdom is in that he saw how easy to beat down opponents who didn’t make important decisions in the flow of battle. Truly, he sounded like he wanted them to do their job, but he just expected they’d protect him better if they had the clarity of mind to react quickly. His own life above all else. It just happened that doing the mission properly was a convenient way of doing that.
