That was quite a full response, wasn't it?
Honestly, Cassandra's take on the story was a bit flowery for the old man's taste, Lee finding himself running his fingers through the tip of his beard as he listened in. So she'd been through a lot - it sounded like she'd been through most of the D-Reaper conflict, in fact, even to the end with the Megidramon. At the end of it, the man held a faint smile.
"Interesting that you beheld yourself a god, even for how brief it was, but it sounds like there's a veritable fountain of knowledge to be had. Though to be honest, that red-haired boy there seems like a far more interesting subject of the D-Reaper at the moment."
"Tch..." Moeru tensed his hand around his Digivice, the Deputymon standing defensively. The Wizardmon, meanwhile, hung on every word of both stories. "So you've managed to bring back whatever pieces there were of the Phoenix's effigy, and in doing so the Devas now recognize your partner as their leader? I dare say, that's more than I could sanely accomplish!"
"Providing that you were sane in the first place." The Datamon shook his head, as Lee cleared his throat. It was clear that the old man's veiled threat had put the group on edge, but interestingly he hadn't lashed out yet.
"Our plan? Well, call this a crossroads. See, Sovereign data is potent on its own, but we seem to have underestimated the scale of what we need to bring one back. For Zhuqiaomon to truly awaken and bring peace back to the Dark Area, we need to consolidate as much 'active' data as we can. We'd originally planned to siphon it via Terminus, but that project got turned over fairly quickly... but then we figured the Devas might be able to restore their leader. And largely, they were content with that arrangement... but..."
"Half the devas only contributed a sixth of what we need."
The bird spat, and the man nodded. "Worse yet, once we've started this process, the data gained decays until we finally reach the form itself. Its problematic, but in this case, it doesn't matter if its the Devas' data or your own. All we need is for you two groups to fight..."
"And one of you to lose."

Admittedly since she had learned of Lee's existence all Cross had been able to think about had been meeting him. Meeting someone else who knew the D-Reaper as intimately as herself and who had lost just as much to it's machinations. Now however, at the Man's words her blood ran cold. Her eyes narrowing to piercing crimson slits in her fury.
"You're the founder of the Chaos Arena," Cas stated, for really there could be no other answer as she recalled the broken and branded digimon she'd found. Struggling under the boot heel of their oppressors and barely able to make ends meet. Forced into desperate circumstance with nowhere else to go either because of their typing or their lack of means to provide for themselves and their families any other way. She'd grown terribly fond of Wolf who'd risen to the challenge and become a surprisingly good Mayor, and Impy who ran the Tenebrous city guard.
Not to mention Breach. . .It had taken her so long to switch him over to a non-live data diet not to mention the slow progress of gradually socializing him and the Apocalymon had come a staggeringly long way. He was close now with his smaller form to being able to be re-introduced into Tenebrous and wander without one of Team Metal Drive babysitting him. Though he still thought of himself as the devil himself. Some psuedo-satan damned to the existence he'd lived for the sheer sin of existing though he covered it up with snark, sarcasm, and a driving need to play devils-advocate. It still hadn't taken long for Cas and Guru to realize that his humor was a mask to cover up his own self-hatred and the belief driven into him from abuse and isolation that he deserved to have been hurt. That he was created evil. A recovered abuse victim herself the Doctor adored him more then words could ever describe even through the slow progress of coaxing him to let go of those harmful false beliefs.
"You hurt Breach," She whispered voice breathless with her fury, "He was surgically attached to that fucked up chair with a kill switch implanted to pierce and poison his core killing him in agony. Not to mention how long he'd been in there," Cross spoke her voice gradually growing louder, crimson static playing over the Baalmon's skin.
"What did you do? Steal him as an egg and shove him in there!?" She snarled fangs bared in fury at the thought. Not to mention those ugly painful brands. She'd managed to remove most of them from those Digimon that wanted them gone, but many of the marks had been left too long. Were too old or infected and there was nothing she could do with the resources she had about the scarring without doing further harm. While many wore them as a sign of pride in the rebellion for all Cas's gruffness the Doctor couldn't help, but wish she could erase their hurt. Erase the agony this Man had wrought upon them.
"For that alone I should just leave you here. Leave you to toil fruitlessly losing more data then you can contain until you've exhausted your forces and are left with nothing. You don't deserve the work I've put into your project. The leaps and bounds my team has made," She spat out in her unspeakable fury.
"If it didn't mean leaving the Dark Area to ruin. . .I'd let you destroy yourself." Cross spoke voice barely above a whisper as she drew a familiar, gleaming red card from her cloak. "We already know how to mimic Sovereign data and. . .how to locate it. We're closing in on figuring out how to replicate it as well, but if you want to kill off the Deva in a useless bid to rapidly gain power when the pieces of the Phoenix are out there just waiting for retrieval. . .then I suppose be my guest." She hissed out before lapsing into silence with a sigh.
Only breaking the quiet with a few heartbroken whispered words as a shutter seemed to close over the Baalmon's eyes leaving them cold and dead, "I wanted to think better of you." The sentence spoken like a child that had had the last semblance of hope in a hero that they now realized never truly existed ripped away.

At least they had confirmation that those really were the Devas. Needless to say, the tamer and the digimon were far from amused at this plan. In fact, Coolmon thought it was kind of senseless. "...That boy was once my opponent." She murmured. "He's my ally now, and falls under the same clause that Cross does. You're not touching either of them."
In addition, the -other- thing this man was known for...Well. Neither of them knew what that was. Perhaps it was something they could inquire about later. Regardless, Coolmon's own data signal spiked. She was ready for something, alright. Though she was definitely anticipating the Devas to make the first move.
"...It really seems like conflict's inevitable no matter what, isn't it? Are you bunch seriously alright with this?" Aya called out towards the Devas. She figured they'd be -very- willing to give their lives to bring their lord back, but...There had to be some amount of self-preservation within them, right?

Well, as much as he hated to admit it, Carlos had to give this Lee some credit: he would have never guessed that was his plan to bring back Zhuqiaomon. But neither he nor the twins seemed particularly thrilled about it, far from it. All it took was for Lee to finish talking for both twins' signals to spike with almost as much intensity as that of the remaining Devas. There were no words to describe the sheer anger emanating from the two virus digimon.
To send your minions to (hopefully) willingly sacrifice themselves for a cause was bad enough, but to be willing to kill people completely removed from the problem for it? That was a whole other level of twisted. Or perhaps desperate. But barely justifiable regardless.
"And after this then what? This plan is as unsustainable as it gets! Do you seriously expect for more people to come wandering here?" Carlos couldn't help but to snap back, as incredulous as he was horrified at Lee's plan, and perhaps in his own way trying to talk some sense into either him or the Devas, but that seemed like a long shot at this point. And as for what Cross said, well...
They didn't really understood what she was reffering to, and it sounded far too personal to inquiry about right now, but it was obvious it was not a pleasant experience and it didn't do any favors for painting Lee in any kind of positive light. Not that they cared by this point, Lee had proven himself to be an untrustworthy individual at best or a very dangerous one at worst, all in the span of less than five minutes.
"Well, if the other Devas are really part of that sphere I doubt they have many qualms about dying." He said, more to Aya than anyone else.
"Then you're all welcome to die for your god if you want it so badly." The neodevimon finally snapped back, pure vile dripping from his tone. He was itching for the fight to finally break out, if only so they would have a chance to go for Lee afterwards.

Holly's eyes narrowed slowly as the 'uncle' seemed to take amusement in Cross' story. The meicrackmon gritting her teeth lightly and her eyes flicked to Moreu as the older human addressed them. She would of taken a defensive stature at that herself if she was attached to a human, she couldn't blame either of them but she really wanted to know the connection here. Fully know it and not just have second guesses.
The interest of the wizardmon made holly a touch nervous, could they rely on him further if he got too hung up on the current 'experiment' on hand? The meicrackmon's defensive posture deepened a little bit as she could feel the burning sensation of a fight brewing. She felt herself shift closer to her human allies, ready to knock them out of the way if need be; her reaction speeds were always great right?
Half of the Deva's provided them so little.
But the question is, half of the deva's being dead or... half of the deva's simply losing a fight? There wasn't much room to maneuver in that realm of possibilities. Cross on the other hand seemed to get angry at her uncle and the meicrackmon gritted her teeth, she felt the frustration from the other mon plainly.
The words that the baalmon put forth were simple and biting, the replication of sovereign data would work in the long haul as well as going and finding this data. But perhaps the 'uncle' was impatient or didn't have much in the way of time, thus the entire Deva plan.
Holly's eyes hardened a bit and she could feel the answer to her question strike forth. It'd be stupid to think that the Deva's would stop halfway in a fight, they'd go to digitize wouldn't they? This fight would end up with a lot of them dying just for this entire thing. The meicrackmon didn't like that, it put everyone into a huge bind.
Coolmon seemed against the entire idea, she couldn't really blame her but the way that her uncles answered made the meicrackmon nearly groan. That would just get the others to attack quicker and well.. the meicrackmon didn't really want to take the back seat of this fight. But she was going to have to if things went really south!
"To confirm a single thing. We're talking about digitization to make one of these orbs aren't we?"
She didn't want to know the answer here, she really didn't. She knew what the answer was, it was thought of the moment that that orb was brought into context but her drive to make certain didn't yield her any relief in the conversation as a whole. In fact since appearing this was... the first thing that she really said wasn't it?

Oh?
Oh that was an air of familiarity that he didn't expect with this group. As Lee heard Cassandra mention that accursed arena, the old man actually returned a response: a light, jovial laugh at the Wizardmon's realization. "Oh, my dear niece, the Chaos Arena was not my invention. Just the consequence of opportunity and greed from those tasked with watching over my guest. I suppose the excess power from the throne simply wasn't enough for them."
But did that really excuse anything else? Not trying to put a stop to the arena, or perhaps the injustices served against Breach? It was clear that the doctor's son wasn't going to be able to change Cross' mind - though her personal stance at the issue did put her a bit distant from everyone else. "I didn't hear a lot about that incident, honestly..."
"Some artifact they dragged right out of the Dark Area and plopped right under Terminus, then?"
Unfortunately, that was hardly the matter at hand. Honestly, Lee didn't seem too hurt at his niece's disappointment, still managing to keep a smile on his face as fielded her questions. Did he drag Breach there as an egg? "Oh, no, hardly anything that cruel. He was an excited participant, albeit one who might not have known how far it would have gone..." Conceding that much, he gave a half shrug as Cross stated that she would prefer to withhold her information - as well as hints to what she could offer.
The ability to mimic Sovereign data, and how to locate it. The latter he knew - those pearls used in the mountain incident - and the former, though interesting, was something he was largely skeptical on. It was here that Lee gave a sigh: "To be a hair off in the Digital World might cause a tragedy..."
An agreement clearly couldn't be found there, but perhaps there would be something to be had with the Devas. To Aya's remark about the Devas' own position, she'd find something of a mixed response. The Pajiramon simply let out a 'tsk', the Makuramon chuckling at her back. "We were cast from the Phoenix's flame to begin with. Returning to it's simply a matter of returning the favor."
Not all were as cheerful as the monkey, though. The Sandiramon gave a low hiss, otherwise nonresponsive, as the Vajramon rested one of its heavy blades against its shoulder. Carlos was more direct in his criticism - and to that, the Hawkmon returned a chuckle!
"Well, of course not! But call it a point of critical mass. It takes effort to build up a snowball, but once it gets big enough and you send it rolling down a hill, it'll cascade out of control. Once we hit that point, we won't have to be 'sought out' by anyone." A cruel, if efficient, point. The NeoDevimon's challenge seemed to bring the ire of the bull, a derisive snort given as he gave a step in his direction.
Then there was Holly - simply wanting to know the stakes at hand. Sure, that was on par with the deva's fate, but what of them? "Truly, it depends on just how much data you'd have to spare. Honestly we're more interested in the Digivices than anything else, but we will take what we need to at least reach a second orb."
"How about we simplify it?"
Moeru, angered but calm, focused right in the Hawkmon's direction, earning the attention of the doctor's son. The Deputymon readied both of his pistols, training them on the bird. "Fight us off if you want - but you won't be able to use anything damaged by the D-Reaper for any bit of your plan."
"Honestly, whatever makes you feel better, kid. But if you aren't going to start us off..."
Lee gave a snap, and the Deva, in unison, proceeded with their assault. The Sandiramon and Pajiramon both aimed towards the air - the former with its fangs and the latter with its crossbow - golden bolts of energy flying up to the area above them, unleashing a hail of golden spears, like sharp, needle-like pieces of razorhail, over the entire group!
The Vajramon gave another snort, smoke billowing out of his nostrils as he raced towards the NeoDevimon, apparently picking up a fair bit of rage from the demon's earlier taunt. With his charge, his two swords crossed in front, giving a cross slash a few meters away that let out a powerful, X-shaped arc of energy that threatened to crash and cut right through the demon.
The Makuramon, meanwhile, decided to take a more tricky approach. Clasping his gloves together, a glass ball forming between his hands, the monkey kept silent, slipping right into the fight, trying to get right up close to Aya as the metallic storm raged on from overhead.
All from one snap, an incredibly organized assault. Would have this been Cross' fate if she came alone?
The fight begins with Lee's signal. Sandiramon and Pajiramon simultaneously use 'Treasure Rain', using a wide area of effect attack to assault the entire group with crossbow bolts and jagged spears of light.
Vajramon charges NeoDevimon directly, readying 'Treasure Slash'.
Makuramon prepares 'Treasure Orb', and sneaks into the fight without making any unnecessary sound.
Hawkmon and Lee observe. At a glance it doesn't appear they are inclined to participate.

The world is tinted red. The. world. is. tinted. red. . .and as Cross's vision spirals into three pinpricks of crimson light, tunnel visioning swallowing all other sight in her fury she finds this man makes her question if any of this is really worth saving with his indifferent mask. If there isn't a beauty in burning it all down and starting again, but she has burned so bright and so hot in the past for temperature to lose all meaning. Had her spine broken and re-poured with death and steel. Fought and clawed her way back from the brink surviving having not only her humanity, but soul shattered and re-knit. Till she's nothing, but a broken abomination of fractured pieces. She swore to Emma that if Lee went too far she would stop him. Her and her alone. She swore she wouldn't leave the others to do her dirty work when it came to blood. Because for all Lee's coldness at his heart he was human and Cross. Cross was not. The first arrows shatter off of the Wizardmon's shield leaving the energy to rain around her like glass as the Baalmon moves. The javalin that catches her in the gut not even stalling the ultimate as she reaches a hand into her robes, drawing a card from the folds as she tucks it between her teeth and bites down, fangs sinking deep as it shatters into data and then she's gone~ Gone in a streak of light too fast for the eye to see. Past her allies, past the Deva's, till she's face to face with Lee one gloved hand darting out to grasp him about the neck and lift him off his feet, the other lashing out to grab the Hawkmon by their throat and put pressure on the delicate avian bones of their neck. So fragile and breakable leaving her to wonder if she could wring out the rookie's life like one might snap a bird's for dinner. They'd theorized, her and Denryu, what would happen to a Sovereigns core if they were destroyed. Would they be reborn? Whole, but lesser? Staring at the bird digimon she felt she may have her answer. Slowly the wound in her gut wept as the dust settles, bleeding tainted crimson data that stains her white robes an eerie glowing red as she hold's Lee's gaze, her third eye never moving from his Hawkmon. "Call them off or I add another Sovereigns data to my collection." She warns voice emotionless as her fingers would dig painfully into the Hawkmon's neck. Because for all Lee's coldness at his heart he was human and Cross. Cross was not. Cross was a Reaper and there was nothing so cold and alien as the mind of that which once was, but now was not, and may never have been, human.

It began with a snap. A snap was all it took to send the Devas towards them. The monkey went who knows where while the snake and the goat from earlier let loose a combined assault that threatened the group. Cross moved forward, but Aya had to act fast to make sure that the rest of the group was safe. Coolmon felt the same, as she became engulfed in the light of Digivolution. Aya drew a card and swiped it through the D-Arc, at the same time. Coolmon would hold a hand that was growing steadily smaller and more humanoid. "Talisman Spell!" A barrier would appear above the group akin to the one that Cross brought out earlier. That would serve to mitigate a good amount of the damage brought down by Sandiramon and Pajiramon's combined assault as the light faded to reveal... A Justimon. Clad in pink. And bearing Coolmon's signature scarf. Said Justimon started to move already to try avoiding as many of the remaining spears as she could. Were they done yet? Because it was her turn now. Her right hand sparked with electricity as she fired a literal storm of balls made from electricity out for Pajiramon. Meanwhile, Aya was trying to back away from the rain, holding her light screen up. Someone oughta help her with that. Especially before the monkey could get close.
Relevant Passives: One for All: Justimon is inspired to fight harder based on how many allies she has present with her. She gains a 20% power increase for every ally of hers present in a battle. This caps out at 50%, three allies. Increases in increments of 12>12>13>13. Twins count as one singular entity, and mercenaries are exempt from this. 3/3 - F U L L P O W E R I am Here: Justimon is immune to fear-based effects. Why? Because there’s nothing to fear when she’s there. Heroine: Justimon is -JUSTICE ITSELF.- Do you think it’s easy to break? FOOL! Coolmon gets a 30% flat damage reduction in this form!
Aya swipes Taomon to use Talisman Spell while Coolmon evolves into Justimon. Coolmon then attacks with Blitz Massacre, using option one to launch an assault on Pajiramon! Trinity Arm: Blitz Massacre: Justimon switches to the Blitz Arm and fires a hail of electric spheres. She has two options from here. She can either cause them to rain down akin to a rain of fire or arrows, or she can leave them floating for three rounds of combat, leaving her opponent...in a haphazardous situation. Either way, should they find purchase, they pack quite a wallop in terms of electric volts. Three turn cooldown. DA-12 Card Name: Taomon Type: Digimon Rank: Gold Duration: 1 Post Talisman Spell: The target Digimon summons a barrier of light. Damage from Ultimate attacks is heavily reduced, and damage from Mega attacks is reduced to a minor extent as well. Despite Aya's or Holly's best intentions, it was clear there was no way of avoiding a fight, the Lee and the Devas had made themselves clear as day on that front. Even if by the Hawkmon's own admission their plan as is wasn't exactly "sustainable", that seemed of little consequence. They were going to keep going on their current path to the bitter end. So much so they needed only a simple snap from Lee's fingers to let loose upon the group, Pajramon and Sandiramon hanging back and letting down a shower of shining projectiles upon them as the Makuramon and Vajramon charged forward. At least most of the initial damage was stopped by Wizardmon's shield and Aya's card. That didn't stop some of the glowing lances from still hitting the twins some, but at least there weren't enough to cause any serious injuries. Of all the Devas it seemed Vajramon took the most offence from Dio's previous taunt, charging straight at him, his swords sending an X shaped wave in the Neodevimon's direction. The demon kicked the ground and with a flap of his wings took to the air, vaulting over the attack as power gathered on his arms. As he began descending upon the bull he'd point in his direction with his claws stretched, as volts of purple electricity shot out in the Deva's direction. As for Gio? He'd barely even flinch as a few of the Devas' projectiles managed to land on his shoulders, a small crackle of energy bursting through his body as the many marks on his body and armor began glowing, a light forming in the cannons of his chest... One second the smell of sulfur would flood the vicinity, and yet another second later a massive release of energy would shoot out the wargrowlmon's chest, the orange blast aimed directly at the serpent. Carlos meanwhile...well he could do little else than position himself behind the partners and hope for the best, gritting his teeth as he saw Cross practically shoot forward and try to reach for Lee and the Hawkmon. A risky move, but one that Carlos hoped wouldn't get her killed.
>Both Dio and Gio take heavily reduced damage from Sandiramon and Pajramon's attacks thanks to the combined defenses from Aya and Wizardmon. >Gio get's one Axon Charge from the damage sustained and retaliates by firing Ascalon Cannon at Sandiramon. >Dio dodges Vajramon's Treasure Slash and attacks with System Shock.
Passives: [RAM Upgrade Giga/Passive] Axon Charge: Due to Gio’s rather odd upbringing and traces of his old demon lord data, his body and very core react to physical trauma in an different way. On top of an increased tolerance to pain, every time Gio receives damage from a named move he stores a part of the attack’s energy within him, giving him a charge. He can store up to five of these charges. Every charge gives him a 5% increase in damage to all of his named moves, though he loses a charge for every two turns without receiving damage. Furthermore he can spend all five charges to create a medium ranged explosion around him causing heavy damage to up to two targets, but can’t gain charges for the next two turns. Axon Charges: (1/5) Named moves damage increase 5%
Actives:
Ascalon Ray: Gathers power within the Ascalon Cannon in his chest and fires off a large beam of pure energy in a cone in front of him. It’s strong enough to pierce shields and ignore defensive buffs, but it’s inaccurate at long distances. 4 turns cooldown.
System Shock: Charges up power within his arms, releasing a relatively short ranged (40ft) electrical arc from his hands. Deals heavy damage and lowers the enemy’s defense by 25% for two posts. Three post cooldown. Cooldowns:
Dio: System Shock (0/3)
Gio: Ascalon Cannon (0/4)

This entire situation was a load of Indramon manure. Holly's expression darkened and her defensive pose grew a little more aggressive, she could feel her tendrils thrashing and her silence continued to mostly permeate. This was a fight coming that they could not avoid, there was no getting around that. The talk beforehand was practically pointless, they would of if given the chance of attacked them without explaining anyways. The non-chelont way that they addressed the fact they didn't want to have their camp damaged eventually registered in the meicrackmon's head. That snap. That snap brought the assault, too well organized by any group that hadn't worked together, bled together and fought together for time after time. She knew the signs, as little as she knew about them. Her ma had explained to her at one point that it was dangerous to fight groups like this, and they'd always be on the back foot. They'd cover a wide amount of area in an effort to make themselves look overwhelming... So of course, the movements of the monkey gained her attention immediately. From one to another it wasn't hard to know that someone else had a form of training like hers, she might of been a touch rusty in terms of mental but her body didnt' forget the signs, her body didn't forget the things that it was taught. Her movements weren't wasted she'd bound out of the attacks in her area, though she'd take one to the shield thankfully enough. The effect that the wizardmon gave her was enough for her to get to aya and with a smooth hand gesture, more like a sweep. Three of her clones appeared, each one of them in a different defensive pose and all of their eyes locked on the Monkey. While the actual holly yanked Aya out of the way of the attacks, if they were going to target the tamers this would be a problem. "You all are stupid. If I didn't know better I'd call you liars too. There's nothing more than I hate than liars."There was a burning anger in Holly's voice, she practically spat them out like venom. She didn't like direct fights, she didn't like fighting in general but she was constantly forced to do so. It was aggravating and she could always feel that hunger in the back of her mind. The hunger that didn't make sense to her, not the one for knowledge but that other hunger. It always reminded her that she could snap and that was a dangerous fact in it's own right. "Don't think for a second monkey that you're going to be able to sneak around with me here." Log: -Holly help's out aya since she is squishy and full of don't break me bits -Holly summons clones to act as a wall against the monkey Passives: Beast Dance|Inherited Move[RAM UPGRADE]: This digimon moves at unreasonable speeds; faster than it's cousins by a large margin this digimon is also largely frailer than it's cousins.
Regeneration III: Every post rotation this digimon heals a light amount of damage. If afflicted by a status effect this regeneration stalls out until that effect is over with. Any healing ability that is used on her stalls out this regeneration effect as well. Move: Quasi|Advanced Combat Variant: Holly can create three clones of herself that can mimic her movements almost perfectly. They can move around and physically interact with things. They are capable of using any ability that she is except for other Quasi and once per thread abilities. Save for the fact that they are at 1/3 the strength that Holly's attacks would be. They only last for two posts and if they use an attack they vanish on the post that they would of used it on. At the end of those two posts these Quasi vanish. Three post cool down. The Advanced Variant cannot be used during other Quasi Variants active periods or cool down periods. Cooldowns: Quasi's: [0/3] [0/3] [0/3]

"Oh? They scrap themselves pretty quickly for something like this..."
Lee idly gave his beard a stroke as the chaos unfolded before them. Of course, it wasn't a battle that any of the others wanted to participate in, though some seemed a bit more gung-ho than others. For one, it didn't take much effort for the Antylamon to reveal her mega form as a Justimon, and for two, it didn't take Dio nor Gio much to slip right into the stride of the fight.
The former turned their focus to the ram, and the Pajiramon quickly found herself looking towards an oncoming minefield, enough to make herself backpedal away from the oncoming assault. Instead of another wide assault, she instead drew the string of her crossbow back and began firing several bolts, each towards the center of an electric sphere - weaving the occasional shot towards the Justimon's center as she did so, using a carefully calculated mix of attack and defense.
This was in sharp contrast to the Vajramon, who didn't lose a beat with Dio's assault. That electrical surge was countered by the bull simply holding his dual blades up in a cross, letting the energy build up inside the metal. It did carry down to his gauntlets, but the damage was confined to his upper arms as a result. With that came a steam-filled snort, the bull no longer interested in an opponent out of his reach.
Instead, he charged straight after Gio, driving one blade into the ground to hurl a harsh pile of rocks and debris right at his face. This would be paired with a shoulder charge to the mech's chest right after - likely deflecting that charged beam wildly off target.
Holly, meanwhile, split her attention on two fronts - one to protect Aya, and the other to counter the Makuramon directly. Halted in his tracks, the monkey gave a small grin towards those three clones, and changed his plans to better suit his target. The clear crystal quickly darkened to an opaque color, exchanging one threat for another. "Touche! But sneaking's not all I can do, miss kitty!" And with that, he'd give that sphere a harsh throw, like a baseball, towards the center clone's face - only to have it divert, three inches in front of her, to try and clock the left one in the side of the head! This attack also worked independent of the monkey's own motions, the smaller deva easily able to slip backwards a foot or so to anticipate the Meicrackmon's actions.
Aya and the 'main' Holly, however, had put themselves in a much different scenario. With the ultimate forced to protect the tamer in her arms, well, that limited her options - and the Sandiramon quickly took up that position, the large beast focusing its head right on their position. It would give a turn and a flick, using its wide body as a whip, intending to use the very back end of that tail to swipe right at that retreating ultimate. And should her defense wane even a moment, well, Aya would be at risk.
But, surely, none of this would matter if they could stop the master of the Devas directly? Moeru, covered by Wizardmon, figured that this was the best option as well, the Deputymon's pistol raised as the bird gave a smirk. But before they could act, the Baalmon made her own approach, even managing to pluck the Hawkmon right off of the ground with little effort.
... With no effort. There wasn't a squawk of panic, or even struggling to regain breath, and Lee remained indifferent of the action. "Oh dear..." The Hawkmon, feeling those nails dig in, gave an almost bored sigh.
"Who do you think you are?"
The Hawkmon's words held a different weight in that moment, but that was the only tell that Cassandra was going to get from the bird. Moeru called out: "Baalmon, nine o-clock!"
That sphere, that small ball that the Hawkmon had orbiting around itself, came circling around like a satellite around orbit, aimed keenly for the left side of the Baalmon's ribcage, the Deputymon's bullets proving ineffective at altering its trajectory, simply sparking off the marble as they hit. Should it hit, this incredibly dense ball of energy - really, like getting hit with something as heavy as a mountain, condensed down to the shape of a marble - would hammer into the demon's side, and likely send her tumbling away from the bird. It was very clear that the Hawkmon was looking down at her.
No, not only her - and not only at the approaching group, but everyone in this clearing, except for Lee.
Pajiramon is forced to regroup, and uses 'Sharpshooting' to attempt to clear away the thunderous minefield. Her attention is too high to be overtaken by such a slow attack.
Vajramon uses his blades to dull the effect of 'System Shock' to simply his forearms. The damage triggers the passive 'Roaring Bull', increasing his offensive power. He then strikes towards Gio using 'Terra Sword' to throw a heavy amount of debris in his direction, before blitzing in his direction to offset the direction of Ascalon Ray. He seems about even with both twins.
Makuramon halts, and changes 'Treasure Orb' for 'Primal Orb', attempting to knock out one of the clones.
Sandiramon tracks Holly and uses an application of 'Venom Axe' to attempt to strike her with a fast-moving tail at mid-range.
Hawkmon uses a basic attack at Sovereign level.

If the Reaper could register shock, Cross might have been surprised at those words, but in her current state the world existed in cold hard numbers and the risk. The risk was calculated and all she could feel as her theory was confirmed was an exacting sort of pride in peeling back the avian's mask. Leaving the Baalmon smiling all sharp fangs and bright bright crimson eyes as she dredged up from within her that commanding spark that had been Solarimon.
"Who I need to be." They rumbled out as Moeru called out his warning giving the Baalmon a split second to respond. There was only one way they knew to stop an the attack from a Sovereign. . .and that was with another Sovereign.
Thus Cross didn't bother to dodge. There was nowhere to run. Instead they spun, bringing the Hawkmon up with the intention of smacking the bird right into the black sphere to take the brunt of the hit, likewise putting the avian and their own body between the attack and Doctor Lee should the Sovereign not decide to pull their punches.
Cas still gripping Hawkmon and Lee spins to put Hawkmon between her and the attack, and her and Hawkmon between Lee and the attack.

Each arrow making contact with the electrical mine would yield a high-voltage explosion. It seemed Pajiramon was forced to move thanks to that. While the sheep had her attention mostly on the mine, Coolmon broke into a sudden sprint towards Pajiramon, her arm reconfiguring itself into a bulky and terrifyingly large slab of metal. The Justimon aimed to weave through her own quickly dissipating field, as well as the shots fired at her by Pajiramon (some of which actually grazed at her sides, a pity) to, for all intents and purposes, give the ram the punch of a fucking lifetime.
Aya, meanwhile, was thankful for the help offered by the Meicrackmon. "...I'm going to need you to cover me while I go find some actual cover--this is a goddamn mess to be in the middle of!" She whispered, which...honestly sounded like a hiss in these conditions. Of course, the presence of Sandiramon complicated things immensely, Aya practically leaping for her life away from the snake while trying to get the card she wanted.
The moment she hit the ground? She swiped it.
Holly would find a weapon that she definitely did not possess before in her hands. An axe-like sword the likes of which could only be wielded by the leader of the Royal Knights themselves. The cat was armed with Alphamon's own Ouryuken for a time, what would she do with it? Relevant Passives: One for All: Justimon is inspired to fight harder based on how many allies she has present with her. She gains a 20% power increase for every ally of hers present in a battle. This caps out at 50%, three allies. Increases in increments of 12>12>13>13. Twins count as one singular entity, and mercenaries are exempt from this. 3/3 - F U L L P O W E R
I am Here: Justimon is immune to fear-based effects. Why? Because there’s nothing to fear when she’s there.
Heroine: Justimon is -JUSTICE ITSELF.- Do you think it’s easy to break? FOOL! Coolmon gets a 30% flat damage reduction in this form! Coolmon makes like a battering ram and moves through her own minefield, trying to avoid the occasional shot from Pajiramon to attempt getting close to the Deva and striking at her with SMASH.
Trinity Arm: Smash!: An enhanced Buster Punch powered entirely by the Accel Arm. It hits with enough force to possibly send an opponent flying or plummeting to the ground as well as make a sizable dent in armor. Two turn cooldown.
Yeah, that might hurt. Meanwhile, Aya swipes a card for Holly to use after she jumps away from a wild snek!
DR-33 Card Name: Ouryuken Type: Modify Rank: Chrome Digizoid Duration: 3 Posts Effect: The target Digimon summons Alphamon's Ouryuken blade. It is a powerful cross between a sword and polearm, and heavily boosts both the range and power of basic melee strikes.

Needless to say, being so focused on shooting down Pajramon left Gio completely blindsided to the Vajramon's attack until it quite literally blew up in his face. First the rubble smashing across his metallic muzzle like a cannon ball, blurring his vision for just long enough to be unable to react before he felt the bull's shoulder crashing against his chest with the strenght of a freight train. Te combined attacks were more than enough to send him reeling back, the dragon barely keeping himself from losing balance and falling to his back, and obviously his previous attack veering far off course, dissapearing into the darkened skies without so much as grazing it's target. Gio snarled as his attention turned from the sheep to their similar looking companion, a growl not of pain but of sheer anger. As if on command a myriad of lights lit up along the Wargrowlmon's arms, from which just as many small missiles shot out from, all of them intent on exploding against Vajramon's frame. Dio meanwhile didn't quite took kindly to seeing Gio being hurt (and even less to the Vajramon shrugging off his attack so easily), so he quickly closed in the distance with the bull like centaur, descending upon him brandishing bright purple claws of malignant energy. "Leave him be."Was about Carlos? Well, he'd be taking after Aya's example, and trying to put find cover between himself and the ensuing battle, so as to not make himself another target, making a mental note of just how...bright his digivice seemed to be glowing. A warm all too familiar glow of the light of digivolution. After finding himself a relatively sturdy looking rock to stand by, he'd wave for Aya to get closer,. The cover should be enough for both of them. >Gio takes damage from Vajramon's Terra Sword, missing his Ascalon Cannon and getting another Axon Charge >Gio and Dio focus on the Vajramon with Plasmic Salvo and a D-Nail powered attack.
Passives:
[RAM Upgrade Giga/Passive] Axon Charge:
Due to Gio’s rather odd upbringing and traces of his old demon lord data, his body and very core react to physical trauma in an different way.
Axon Charges: (2/5) Named moves damage increase 10%
Actives:
[RAM Upgrade Giga] D-Nail: Focusing power on either of his clawed hands, Dio summons forth a set of sharp needle like blades of pure, glowing purple energy enveloping his fingers. Having an advanced form now means he’s finally able to wield this power somewhat efficiently, no longer making it elemental. The blade will disappear after either three successful attacks or a block, and can only be used for either attack or defense per activation (it can't used to block after doing one swing). Three posts cooldown. Plasmic Salvo:Fires off a salvo of missile shaped plasma projectiles out of his arms. Causes medium damage to a single target and lowers their defense by 30% for a turn. 3 Turn Cooldown. Cooldowns:
Dio: System Shock (1/3)
D-Nail (active, uses left: 3)
Gio: Ascalon Cannon (1/4)
Plasmic Salvo (0/3)

It is as some would say the worst possible scenario. The question she posed was answered in it's own as the the others attacked. Their knit together group functioning a touch better than she expected. It was frustrating to see them like this and having to deal with things like this. The joking tone that the monkey had to her made the meicrackmon growl a bit. One clone got smacked pretty hard in the head, but unlike her regular attack clones these ones didn't vanish when struck. The clone letting out it's own exasperated sound as it was forced to eat the dirt next to it. It'd push itself up and glare up at the monkey. The other two meicrackmon's glancing at one another before dashing forward. Each of them having their own terse response to the monkey. "Didn't say.""That you couldn't."The one in the middle brought it's hands up, the shadow stitching spreading across them while the right most clone drew it's hand back to throw lightning not at the monkey, but clear at the snake that was now attacking holly and Aya! Regardless of wether or not the attacks hit they both would vanish in puffs of smoke after their attacks. Leaving the one clone that the monkey had walloped dusting itself off to eye the monkey. As though it was considering it's next move. The 'primary' holly however had to deal with the fact that if she dodged like this it was likely aya would get hurt. So she'd have to toss her to one side and take that attack, banking on the regeneration to- Wait aya jumped out of her arms? The meicrackmon did a double take just as that tail slammed into her, sending the main holly flying backwards. Mid flight however she now owned the Ouryukenin her hands, the power of the blade rolling over her form and with a grin the meicrackmon used it's weight mid air to shift herself to slide along the ground a touch more majestically. The damage from the snake was already knitting shut and the primary holly gripped the large sword in both hands before dashing forward at the snake, her own attack with the sword... being surprisingly well practiced. Her attack aiming directly at the more mid rang of the snake's body.
Log: -The clone takes the ball to the face, just as expected. It holds it's action for a moment to see what the monkey does. -The other two clones dash in to use two separate attacks -Holly gets hit by Venmon axe, sending her flying, but the meicrackmon uses Ouryuken to adjust mid air so she can land without breaking something. -She then uses Ouryuken to make a heavy strike at the Sandiramon.
Passives: Regeneration III: Every post rotation this digimon heals a light amount of damage. If afflicted by a status effect this regeneration stalls out until that effect is over with. Any healing ability that is used on her stalls out this regeneration effect as well.
Beast Dance|Inherited Move[RAM UPGRADE]: This digimon moves at unreasonable speeds; faster than it's cousins by a large margin this digimon is also largely frailer than it's cousins.
Middle clone move: [Targeting Makuramon] Shadow-Stitches III: On use a somewhat dark aura radiates around one of holly's paws. Striking a target with a dark patch of data to stick to their skin, spreading out into several dark needles to stab through the surface. Deals high corrosive damage. Duration of 3 posts, cool down of 3 posts.
Right clone move: [Targeting Sandiramon] Lightning Cross II: Holly is capable of throwing lightning within two hundred feet of herself. They're surprisingly precise and punch through armor of enemies with ease. Deals high damage. Three post cool down.
Holly move: Does Ouryuken count? XD
