To be honest, Kenny wasn't much of a people person growing up. And for someone who was now willing to open himself up to Digimon and human alike, this was proving trickier than expected. Luckily for him, Ryouta was willing to help him clarify a little better, and it seemed Cassie didn't seem to mind either. Kenny just smiled in response. Although Ophelia's short story about how she and Ryouta & Valt met did bring up something interesting: was Valt fishing for new friends/disciples by sparring with random Digimon that just so happened to cross his path? He had to ask later when he got the chance.
As Kenny stretched, he still winced a little as the loud bleat rocked the room. This thing may have been bulletproof but not soundproof. Like, he swore there were metal concerts quieter than her. And as he soon finished his stretches, Ryouta started to explain the skills Kenny would need to survive: stamina, speed, and durability. And Kenny listened thoroughly throughout.
Of course, he thought as Ryouta spoke, when we were fighting Arkadimon, I tried to help Skadi by trying to fight it off with a stick. And if I never threw the stick at it when it was charging up, Skadi would've most likely died then. But I got hurt myself. And nearly died. Ryouta's right. I'll need all the training I can get.
Wait, martial art tosses? When Ryouta added that he would later on teach him how to do the 'military crawl', one part of Kenny was screaming out to tell Ryouta to just do that for now, and save the toss for later. But Kenny wanted to show he did listen properly to him. Putting his glasses onto the side and approaching Ryouta cautiously, he started to take in deep breaths to calm himself. He knew Ryouta wouldn't try to hurt him on purpose, but the idea of being suddenly being tossed around like a cottonless ragdoll as part of his training wasn't exactly appealing to him. Still, he put on a brave face, and told him, "Alright, I'm ready for my first lesson. But please, try to avoid breaking my limbs, or my spine, by accident. I really don't want to get dad worried sick, and he's very protective of me." Speaking of, it was at least a good thing his own dad wasn't here right now. If he saw what was going to happen with no context whatsoever, he would most likely try and tackle Ryouta to stop him.
And he prayed Ryouta wouldn't bruise him either on accident. That would raise an eyebrow or two.
The soundwaves from the had come fast and furious, and it was enough to knock Ophelia to the ground. A small grin etched onto Skadi's face, believing she left her opponent open to attack. Almost as soon as the Spadamon got knocked down, she would get right back up, and charge with a loud battlecry, her sword out and enveloped in an icy aura. But did that automatically erase the grin from the sheep's face?
No. She liked a good challenge, and Ophelia was shaping herself up to be a great challenger.
Skadi readied herself to dodge as Ophelia swung the sword, and as she tried to jump out of the way from where Ophelia swung, the blade suddenly grew in length, thwacking her with the pointy icy business end of the sword, scraping her at the side, and flinging her off, and while she managed to land on her own two hooves, her grin barely faded as she looked up at Ophelia, "Good one." The initial impact of the attack quickly faded as she compromised herself again for her next attack, looking no worse for wear on the outside, as her horns glowed a bright white, as she called "Ramming Headbutt!"
In almost no time at all, she tilted her head down and proceeded to charge at Ophelia, aiming to strike her directly in the chest and send her flying onto the walls. Skadi had a surprising amount of physical strength for a Rookie level (as Arkadimon learnt the hard way), and while this attack wasn't as flashy, it was going to be just as effective if hit.
Skadi tries to dodge Ophelia's Ice Saber, but is indeed taken off guard by the sudden icy strike and takes damage. In retaliation, she tries to send the Spadamon flying with Ramming Headbutt.
Ramming Headbutt: Runs up to the opponent, with her tiny horns glowing white, and headbutts them with great force. This attack is capable of sending Rookies about her size flying a bit, and even larger Rookies and smaller Champions can be pushed back slightly. (1 post cooldown)

"Eh?"
...Wait a sec, what happened so that this misunderstanding happened? "...Um, uuuuh, I don't think I'll break any limbs, much less spine. Honestly, I break legs and arm at times, but that's only bullies but spine? Holy shit no, I'm not going to disable someone, thank you. Anyway... I think you're... misunderstanding something. At most what I'll do is to trip you. Trip your leg with a leg swipe, push you backward, and catch you midway if I don't think you know the right posture yet. We'll also do it on a mat, so there won't be any bruising... or so I hope unless you're the type that bruises easily..."
...Honestly, he's worried. Is he THAT intimidating? Is he that spartan? Maybe he have to ask Valt to tone it down somewhat. He really doesn't want to be treated like he's a spartan teacher himself when he's just honestly quite chill unless his student asking for him to be spartan.
"Anyway, for the meantime we won't do that. We will seriously only do that when you have felt enough of the burn so toppling you will be easier. For the meantime though? We'll do simple training. Why not start with push up or sit ups? Up to you which one you want to do first."
Part of Valt noted that Skadi shouted names of her attack to pump herself up... Not that it's wrong, but once the enemy knows what came out, it would make them more alert to signs of attacks. He should have told Skadi to watch her habit of declaring an attack... but even so, this is a spar. Ophelia is doing quite great on the retaliation, he noticed. The ice blade was a nice touch. She's learning. Valt writes every single thing on a notepad, of what to improve and whatnot.
Now, how would Ophi deals with this?

Much as Skadi was enjoying the challenge, Ophelia was starting to get pumped up; her tail swishing, pupils thin slits, and her ears pricked and on the alert. Her eyes were firmly set on the Valaismon as she waited to see what the other's next attack would be. That Echo Bleat definitely wasn't a fun attack - it left her aching a little, and her ears were still ringing some - but even then, she could still hear as Skadi called her next attack! Much as Valt thought, Ophelia was starting to realize that the other was probably calling the names to her attacks - and though the predictability of it didn't quite dawn on the lioness yet, it still gave her fair warning of what exactly Skadi's next attack was about to be. She also couldn't help but wonder just how practical this was, too, though; seeing as neither she nor anyone in her family tended to call their attacks like this. As a result, Ophelia wanted to question the little Valaismon about it - ask what the point of doing this was - but she didn't have much of a chance before Skadi would be charging right at her! Dodging around it, Ophelia would sidestep around Skadi's attack; blinking as the wind from Skadi's rush would ruffle her fur a little - with the speed and the glow of those horns, that attack looked as though it would've hurt! She would grin widely at this, though - excited at these seemingly strong attacks that Skadi was dishing out - before she changed up her grip on her sword to try and use a standard Blue Blade attack as the ram-like digimon passed! Cassie, all the whilst, would fidget excitedly in watching the fight. She was more than ready to root Ophelia on, but Skadi seemed like she was really strong, too! Who would win this fight? Either way though, she would glance over to Valt - to note that he was writing something down... Seeing as she only met Valt pretty recently, and never actually witnessed their training sessions until now, she'd tilt her head curiously - before asking him "What are you writing down there?"
- Ophelia has noticed Skadi calling her attacks - and though she isn't quite sure what to make of it yet, 'Ramming Headbutt' is just enough of an obvious attack name for her to see it coming, and sidestep around it! - In response, Ophelia attempts to slash at Skadi with Blue Blade as she passes! - Tempo goes up by 1 stack, and is now at 2 stacks. Move(s) Used:[ATTACK] Blue Blade - Ophelia coats her blade in cold, and uses it to jab and slash at the enemy. Unarmed Variant: Ophelia, instead of using her sword, punches at the enemy with chilled fists. Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having particularly thick and fluffy fur, and having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against ice/cold-based attacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM] Tempo: Ophelia is a scrapper who prefers getting up close and personal - and the more she fights, the easier it gets for her as she gets into the rhythm of it. For each turn that she makes a direct melee attack, she gains 1 stack of Tempo at the end of that turn - and for each turn that she doesn't make a melee attack, she loses 1 stack of Tempo at the end. She gets a 8% attack and accuracy increase for each stack she gets, capping at 40% attack and accuracy at 5 stacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM GIGA] Lionheart: Ophelia is stubborn, willful, and passionate - especially in the heat of battle. Those who try to influence her mind or emotions find it difficult to overcome this side of her - and more often than not, she powers thru from sheer will, and the sheer anger at someone trying to control her like such. As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. EffectsTempo - 2 of 5 Stacks; 8% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 16% increase next turn. Cooldowns:Ice Saber - 1/1 - Up Next Turn!

Ryouta was confused about Kenny's statement, and honestly, the latter couldn't blame him. Kenny had only one true friend in his childhood (Isaac), and thanks to the bullies in his own life, he was mostly a lonely kid, a socially awkward individual who was now starting to open up to people. He just rubbed his shoulder, and replied, "Oh, uh, sorry man. I just got a little confused on what you meant, that's all. To be honest with you, I never really had a personal trainer, ever. This is literally my first time I've ever done this sort of thing, so, please bear with me on this."
If anything, it was of great relief that Ryouta wanted Kenny to just do push ups or sit ups for now. How about something he had merely passing familiarity with. "Yeah, let's do the push-ups first. Give me a second." He pushed himself down onto the floor face first, his hands up and tall to prevent his face from hitting the floor, and his feet straight up as well. But he felt a small tinge in his arms. He hadn't done this in a long time. Still, he wanted to do it, not just for himself, but for Ryouta, as he looked up to him and said, "Alright, I'm ready. Say when."
Skadi dashed quickly at Ophelia, like she did with Arkadimon. But with her head buckled down, and aiming for one particular target, she completely failed to notice that Ophelia had merely stepped out of the way before she could hit her. And not even seconds later, she felt Ophelia's trusty blade slice across her sides, making her wince in pain and fall to the floor with a thump. While it lacked the icy tinge of Ophelia's sudden ice blade morph, it still felt a little painful onto her, and she groaned a little in frustration as she punched the floor
Still, that wasn't going to be enough to down her just yet. Pulling herself up, she turned to Ophelia with a wry smirk. If Ophelia wanted a challenge, she was going to get it. There was still a lot of fight left inside of the sheep Digimon. She dashed back right over to Ophelia, and curled her hand into a fist. However, if Ophelia was expecting to be punched in the face, then she would be sorely mistaken.
"SPIRAL PILLAR!"
As soon as Skadi punched the ground, a small but powerful tremor would start to rumble all around the arena and stop at the boarder. If Ophelia looked down, she would notice small cracks forming at her own feet. And that would be her only warning she would get before a pillar would come out of the floor and strike her. It was going to be a little restrained, so it would not break the roof of the arena, or the like, but if Ophelia missed out from tasting her strength from her headbutt, then if this hit, then this would more than make up for it.
Skadi is hurt by Blue Blade as she passes by Ophelia and falls to the floor. In response, she runs up to Ophelia and punches the floor to launch a restrained, but still powerful Spiral Pillar from it. And if Ophelia doesn't get out of the way in time, it will hurt.
Spiral Pillar (RAM Upgrade): Skadi punches or stomps the floor, causing a small tremor up to a 7 meter radius, which can disorient everyone except herself. In that radius, a 5 meter spire emerges out of the ground to attack the opponent almost immediately. The only warning they get are cracks on the ground underneath their feet. This attack can pierce Rookie-level defence buffs and passives, and break shields for maximum possible damage. If this attack hits a Champion level instead, then this attack does 50% of the maximum damage to them if they have any passives or buffs active that would otherwise decrease it, or if a shield is active (but does not break it). Ally Digimon may be affected by the earthquake as well (but cannot be damaged by it). However, the spire will never hit an ally. If there are more than one enemy in the radius, Skadi can select who gets hit by the spire, but all of them can be affected by the earthquake regardless, leaving them open to attack from allies. (3 post cooldown)

"I mean having personal trainer is hard thing indeed. I won't claim I'm knowledgeable in that sort of stuff, being personal trainer and all, but I have some helps along the way. I'm not a personal trainer... I'm just applying my experiences to help people on how to survive in Digital World. This is not my first time though, and there are successful examples, so I guess it helped somewhat? Heh~"
Either way... "Well, for the first time, give me as much as you can do until you feel you can't do it anymore. You don't have to do it until your arms are all sore until you can no longer do it... if you think it's your max, then it's your max. I'll be counting."
Ryouta took out a counter and sit on a chair. Looks like Kenny got the proper form down already.
"You can start now."
Valt's sharp eyes watched as the battle proceeds. Speaking of which... Valt decided to spice it a bit. "...Ophi, you need to evolve soon, let's see... trade two more attacks and you should evolve. If you can't do it I'm going to take away your aftertraining snack time."
This head ups is usually a bit of strange thing to do, but Valt hoped if he do this Skadi would feel a bit pressured to evolve herself. He keeps writing what the two are doing... Skadi's attack and naming sense is rather straightforward, but that attack definitely an interesting one. So she can use Earth type attacks too?
"Hmmmn?"
Cassie caught his attention though. "I'm writing my assessment for what your sister and Skadi is doing. I'm doing this so I can point out what for them to improve and all that. So by the next time they do this, they could improve on something. It's important to know what can be improved you see?"
By the way, it looks like that the spar is going well... Let's see how Ophelia reacts.

Ophelia would purr in satisfaction in having landed the attack, her tail swishing all the while. Skadi was a tough gal, and so this fight was quite exciting and satisfying for her! How much could she learn, from fighting against Skadi like this? How much might Skadi learn from fighting her like this? Valt would call to her though, and Ophelia would glance in his direction, confused at the instruction he gave her. "Ya sure? Snacks or no snacks, I don't wanna hurt her too badly or someshit if I digivolve to a bigger form." She would call back. Though Ophelia was battle-happy, she tended to be iffy at the idea of overwhelming a weaker digimon - fights had to be fair for her opponents, even if she enjoyed picking fights with bigger digimon! But, her worries would be cut off when Skadi would, suddenly, strike at the ground! The floor beneath her would shift and rumble, eliciting a sharp "W-woah!" from Ophelia as she began to stumble - the ground underneath her feet unsteady. She tried to adjust - equating the ground beneath her feet to unstable snow or ice - but what she didn't expect either, was the spire that would rise up from underneath her! "Oh shit-" She'd get out, before trying to dodge out of the way - though would hiss as the Spiral Pillar would still manage to strike her in a glancing blow, slamming into her side! The strike would send her tumbling to one end of the battlefield, the edge of her armor slightly dented and her side aching sharply in the aftermath. She'd groan sharply, getting up onto her feet - but it seemed that there was still plenty of fire in her! "Don't think I'm done yet!" She would shout in Skadi's direction in defiance, running at the Valaismon. She would do a downward diagonal slice with her sword once more, and at the apex of her swing, would do yet another Ice Saber! "HYAAAAH!" Ophelia would make a spirited yell as the blade came down at Skadi - it quickly becoming obvious that her attacks were hitting harder, and more accurately, as the fight went on. She was getting into the rhythm of the fight, her battle instincts honing themselves all the while....! Cassie, all the while, would be curiously watching Valt - wondering what sort of notes he must be writing down, for him to point out to Ophi and Skadi. Though the ground underneath her did shake a little bit from Skadi's attack, between it being muted and being a seal, she wasn't really put off-balance by it. It was just a little surprising! "Skadi has some pretty wild moves..." She'd comment curiously, watching up to the arena once more, as she watched Ophelia and Skadi trade blows. "But Ophi's been getting better and stronger, too..!"
- Spiral Pillar strikes Ophelia in a glancing blow, sending her tumbling across the battlefield! - However, she is still able to stand, and charges in for yet another Ice Saber at Skadi! - Tempo is now at 3 stacks. Move(s) Used:[ATTACK] Ice Saber - With a battlecry, Ophelia's blade enlarges into a long blade of ice, and she leaps into a flurry of jabs and slashes at the foe! Unarmed Variant: Instead of slashing, Ophelia leaps forward to bite and slash at the foe with frozen claws and fangs - battlecry still included. [1 Turn Cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having particularly thick and fluffy fur, and having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against ice/cold-based attacks.
Ryouta pointing out that he was no personal trainer, just a guy helping others was a surprise to Kenny. The Japanese man had the body a personal trainer would kill to have, but still, it was nice that he could help out him. As Kenny adjusted himself to the proper push-up position, Ryouta told him to do as much as he could possibly do, and to not push himself too hard, before taking a seat and his counter out, telling him to start.
For every push-up he did, Kenny counted them out loud. The first 10 push-ups went perfectly fine. Kenny had managed to hold himself up for a few seconds at a time before going down. Easy peasy. However, as he got up to his next 10 push ups, it was clear he was starting to struggle. Ryouta could easily notice his trainee's arms were wobbling a lot more and he was starting to lose breath, as he kept himself up longer. All the while, Kenny mentally encouraged himself to push himself further than he could. It was quite the bad habit of his, often trying to go further than normal.
He wanted to do 10 more, but he could only push out 2 more push-ups, before flumping down onto the ground completely, arms outstretched on the floor with an exhausted look on his face, panting heavily. "I'm done..." He groaned a little weakly, "Sweet Jesus Christ... that was exhausting...." He panted as he slowly looked up at Ryouta, "Was that good? Because I'm feeling a little exhausted."
As Skadi was pulling herself up from the floor after Ophelia's attack, she could hear Valt encourage Ophelia to digivolve very soon, with Ophelia pointing out the blatant power imbalance if she were to do so. Seemingly, she wasn't aware about the full details of Skadi's spar with Valt, including the fact that Valt was a level higher than she was during that time. She had no time to point it out, as almost immediately, she was rushing over to Ophelia to use her next attack.
She stood and watched in satisfaction as the earthquake rumbled and her feet stayed firm on the ground, while Ophelia stumbled around trying to keep steady and get out of the way, before the spire emerged from the ground and struck her on her sides, flinging her across the battlefield as it did so. before it retreated back into the earth from where it came, the floor swallowing it whole and the cracks disappearing like if nothing happened,
As Ophelia started to recover from the attack, Skadi shot a glance at the aling Spadamon, "Funny you should mention that. When I was sparring with Valt, he was in his Armour Ultimate form, and I was just in my Armour Champion. And I managed to get a fair few hits on him too. I'm pretty sure I can handle your Champion form just fine, Ophelia." She grinned, moving her glance towards Valt. She knew what Valt was on about here, and while she wasn't going to mention his challenge, she hoped Ophelia would get the blatant nudge.
Speaking of, it was clear that the Spadamon wasn't gonna go down without a fight. She charged at Skadi again, her trusty sword in tow, ready to swing. Skadi readied herself to dodge, learning a lot from the last swing. Again Ophelia let out a mighty battlecry as she swung her sword at Skadi, the business end of the blade expanding with ice once again. This time around, she took the cue, jumping back to try and dodge it. However, it was clear that Ophelia was really starting to get serious here, as she still managed to slash Skadi across the chest, and this time, she could feel quite the vigour in her swing, much more intense than before, as she stumbled back a bit, her grin never faltering all the while.
"Good one." was all Skadi could say before readying herself for her next attack. Stepping back a bit further, she quickly turned her head to Valt and Cassie, "Better cover your ears for this one." She warned them, before she took in a huge breath, readying herself for her next attack.
"ECHO BLEAT!!!"
Again, Skadi let out a powerful bleat, sending powerful shockwaves at Ophelia. Again, they were not set to kill, but they were filled with a lot more vigour than before. Clearly, even when sparring for fun, 'restraint' was not a word that existed in her personal vocabulary. If Ophelia wasn't gonna roll over and quit without a fight, then neither would Skadi.
Skadi jumps out of the way to dodge Ophelia's Ice Sabre. She is still struck by it, however, and takes damage. In return, Skadi fires another powerful Echo Bleat at Ophelia.
Echo Bleat: Bleats loudly, sending shockwaves at the enemy, which is capable of causing damage and/or, disorientation, including knocking them over on their feet. Flying Digimon may be affected by screwing up their flap patterns from the disorientation, knocking them onto the ground and leaving them open to attack. This latter effect can also affect Champions (albeit not as much), but not Ultimate and above. Does not incur friendly fire. (2 post cooldown).
COOLDOWNS: Spiral Pillar: 1/3 Echo Bleat: 0/2

Ryouta counted the amount Kenny did... One, two... up to twelve huh. About the right amount for someone who doesn't train regularly. He guess that's good enough. He write it on his notes. "About right," he answered. "Usually everyone who's not used to push ups only can do 10, and if you're unfit, five is probably your limit. But that's fine. Numbers are there to tell me how much I can push you, you see... even if your body only can do five times push up, don't be disheartened. Numbers can be improved. Believe it or not, in three days you probably can hit 20. Just let your body recover from the muscle aches and you'll get the result!"
Either way, he passed an energy drink to Kenny. "Take a bit break... lessee... ten minutes should do, then we will hit another training. Next is sit up. After that, another ten minutes break and then squat. After that about thirty minutes break with a bit of a massage, then probably a bit of a jog, If you think that three is enough, then we'll stop there. I suggest you use Digital World's time dilation you see...
One day in real world is seven days in digital world... That's why I can be this beefy in short time."
On Valt's side, he watched as Ophelia took a blow. Every single time now that he think of it... she's getting stronger and precise. That must be some sort of passive. Not a bad choice for an ability. Either way, Ophelia was not sure about evolving, considering it might hurt Skadi. However, Valt is positive.
"We want her to reach the higher stage. Skadi need a bit of a push. If she stops here, she won't be the hero that she so wanted to be."
Either way... Should he give hints to Skadi? That's the second time she's using Echo Bleat... and at this moment he's not sure if it would hit considering Ophelia already saw that one once. The moment she said the name, Valt could guessed what happened next and did not even flinched like before.
"...Ophi learned some new tricks, I see... I hope she can keep this up."

It was almost like Ophelia was acting on autopilot now, as she fell into the rhythm of the fight, going thru motions without giving it too much thought like a battle trance. But even then, she was still 'here' - she was still aware of what Skadi was doing, of what was going on; and she was vaguely aware that she was still moving, even as Skadi stumbled backwards. Ophelia wasn't about to give Skadi a chance to counter-attack; being more than happy to press the offensive, and having a strong idea of what was up next based off of the Valaismon's warning. Before Skadi could even get the 'Bleat' in announcing her Echo Bleat attack out though, Ophelia would strike at her! But this wasn't a true attack - nor was it with her sword. Or at least, not with the blade of it. Switching up the grip on her sword, Ophelia would first strike out with the pommel of her hilt, swinging at Skadi's jaw in an uppercut to cut off the bleat right at the start! Not about to back off quite that easily though, she would pull back her free hand next for a followup attack. Balling her fist, it would glow with a blue frosty sheen - and she would quickly follow up the uppercut with a fierce punch at Skadi's gut in a more unarmed twist upon the Blue Blade attack! Only then would Ophelia begin to back off - trying to put herself in a better position just in case Skadi tried to go for another headbutt. As for Cassie and Valt, Cassie would wince a hair and cover her ears in anticipation of the upcoming Echo Bleat; knowing how the last one hurt, and abiding by Skadi's warning. However, as she would watch Ophelia dart in close... She would wince even harder at seeing the uppercut Ophelia would swing out with! "Owch... That's gotta hurt..." She'd murmur to herself, her flippers lowering from her ears, before she'd perk a little at Valt's comment. Glancing up to him, she'd smile brightly, mentioning "Yeah! She's been training hard!" Cassie would chirp happily. "Between the island mission she's told me about, and that trek in the mountains we had... She's been determined to get a lot stronger, to keep up with the things going on in the world - and to do her part for the team..!"
- Anticipating the coming Echo Bleat, Ophelia strikes Skadi upside the jaw with the pommel of her sword to interrupt it! - Next, she strikes at Skadi in the gut with an unarmed variation of Blue Blade, and backs off in anticipation of a possible Ramming Headbutt. - Tempo is now at 4 stacks.

Exercise like this was never really Kenny's forte. At most, he would go for daily walks around the block, never something big. He was just a perfectly healthy young man, just lacking a bit of meat on the bones. He felt a little dizzy, and already beads of sweat formed on his forehead. This wasn't enough to stop Ryouta from reassuring him that he could improve in a short amount of time, with his help.
God how the dumb kid inside of Kenny wished for a teacher like Ryouta back in his day. He had to deal with bullshit from his school teachers claiming he 'didn't try hard enough', despite evidence to the contrary, something that left a pretty large dent in his tiny-bordering-on-nonexistent self-esteem. It was one of the things he proposed to work on when he moved to Japan. He just smiled and nodded at Ryouta's words, as if to thank him for that.
He felt his legs and arms wobble a bit, like if they suddenly transformed into set jelly without warning, as he took the energy drink from Ryouta's hands, "Thanks, mate." He said, before taking a quick swig from the bottle. As he did (and felt quite a bit of relief from the drink) Ryouta would tell him to take a 10-minute break, before the next set of exercises he would need to do, before bringing up the Digital World's time dilation.
Hearing about that did make Kenny chuckle a bit about the first time he came home from the Digital World, much to his dad's confusion. "Heh, kinda reminds me. First time I visited the Digital World, me and Skadi spent a good amount of time there chatting it up with a bunch of city-thriving Digimon there and doing some shopping, but by the time we got home, so little time had passed my dad literally thought I spent just 5 seconds in there. It took quite a bit of explanation from Skadi, and I felt my brain melting just trying to comprehend it." Being an Australian meant that Kenny had quite the penchant for both self-depreciating and dark humour. It came standard from when you were born in a country infamous for all the fauna wanting you dead.
Still, he wasn't just going to stand there and twiddle his thumbs for 10 minutes, "Hey Ryouta, mind if I check on Skadi for a sec, thanks?" He asked, before going to pick up his glasses, then going over to where Valt and Ophelia stood to watch Skadi. He saw that Valt was writing down notes, so why not ask Skadi's own trainer? He attempted to tap the giant dragon Digimon on the shoulder, just before asking, "Hey Valt, how's Skadi doing right now?"
Valt was right; Skadi did need a bit of a push to reach her next stage. The Valaismon nodded to Ophelia as Valt told the fun-sized lioness this. They wanted Ophelia to digivolve, the big push Skadi needed so she could do so herself. Otherwise, she and Kenny's chances of joining KIZNA would be akin to a snowball's in Hell.
Just as Skadi was about to send out her bleats, she felt a powerful uppercut hit her chin, sending the bleat flying upwards, making it sound wonky, quieter than usual, a little off, and missing Ophelia entirely. Before she had the time to react, she felt a freezing cold punch on the chest for a one-two punch, sending her flying across the room and hitting the wall.
Pulling herself back up, she witnessed Ophelia backing out, and readying herself for Skadi's next attack, and then, something started to click inside of the little sheep's head. She was getting a little too predictable for her own good. Arkadimon was nothing more than a wild sadistic animal with no sense of self-preservation, taken off-guard by her sudden digivolution from In-Training to Rookie. Ophelia was already a battle hardened warrior come disciple who lay under Valt's wing for much longer than she had. And she needed to take her by surprise, hit her with a combo.
It was clear that as the battle wore on, Skadi was feeling a little worse for wear, panting a little bit, and pretty bruise, but still not willing to quit. It was time she put her combo into action.
And step 1 was 'slow Ophelia down'.
"Cotton Spores!" Skadi cried as she shook her body, summoning a lot of the spores all flying at Ophelia directly from all directions If she was hit, she would be slowed down, leaving her more open to attack. It was blatantly clear Skadi had not used all her moves at her disposal, and at least this attack would come off as a bit of a surprise. She looked up, hoping for the best.
By uppercutting Skadi, Ophelia has successfully interrupted Skadi's previous attack, and sent her flying. Now the former's starting to catch on to her methods, and is now using Cotton Spores to slow her down.
Cotton Spores: Skadi shakes her body to release a series of fluffy wool onto her opponent to track down and (hopefully) hit them, meant to slow them down (or at the very least, waste their time trying to get them off). They can cling for up to 2 turns. Works up to Champion. (1 post cooldown)
COOLDOWNS: Cotton Spores: 0/2 (Waiting for effect) Spiral Pillar: 2/3
Echo Bleat: 1/2

"Time dilation is not an easy concept to understand to be honest," Ryouta commented. "It's strange it messes up with your perception of time, it makes you want more and more... and it makes you lax. That's why I often told myself that if I want to use the time dilation from Digital World in full then I must make sure that I have the discipline. Otherwise I'll just procrastinate over and over again... and those who procrastinate would eventually regret... especially in world filled with monsters."
Looks like he wanted to check his partner huh... "Go for it, but make sure to take no more than five minutes extra. Otherwise fatigue will set in, and you'll lose your momentum and you would feel tired to continue the training, got it?"
It's important to keep the momentum after all. When the body cooled down too much, the fatigue would be counterproductive.
While waiting, Ryouta goes to the nearest pull up bar and do one armed pull up.
Valt who saw Kenny who approached him smiled at him as greeting. "Well, let's see... she's doing kind of well, but I feel Ophelia is currently having the edge as the more experienced one. She repeated her tactic... which honestly would not work. I taught Ophelia the weakness of move circles... So at the moment she started to caught up on what to do. I feel bad for not telling much, but I feel hand on practice is far more important than being told by your teacher what to do... and if she really doesn't get it until the end, that's where this come handy," Valt knocked at his paper board.
"...Although, you come right on time... I think time will come soon for Ophelia to evolve. You need to be present to evolve her, keep that in mind."

It indeed came as a surprise to Ophelia, as she watched Skadi use a new ability altogether - releasing wool-like cotton spores in her direction. But, the Spadamon wouldn't balk easily to that; in fact, if Skadi wasn't going to headbutt yet, she was going to capitalize on this! Roaring in what might be defiance - "HRAAAAAAAH!" - she almost seemed to be ignoring the spores completely as she would charge forward at Skadi - occasionally tearing away any spores that were particularly bothersome, but otherwise seeming completely unimpeded by it! But, all the while, as she was charging in Skadi's direction, she was also changing in form, in shape. She could feel as the armor that she wore would seemingly become one with her; extending to cover more of her body. She could feel as her shape changed to something less bestial, more humanlike; though her iconic mane remained. She could even feel as she grew larger, taller, and even stronger and faster to match this new shape of hers; as she became something else entirely. Just as the last times she had digivolved, this Himamon form of hers was exhilarating to enter; it was a new stage to fight in, a show of where pushing her limits was getting her, and a sign that she was only going to get stronger. And Ophelia wasn't about to let up, either; this fight was just getting started! As her charge brought her close towards Skadi, she would attempt to swing out with a kick at the Valaismon, aiming for the chest and letting out a spirited shout - "HYAH!" - as she did. Cassie, all the while as she watched this go on, would perk up as Kenny approached; smiling and waving to him. "Watching Skadi and Ophi fight is super exciting; I can't wait to seee what Skadi is like digivolved, too!" She would comment excitedly, fidgeting in place with her energy. Would Skadi be able to turn this around, once she digivolved? Cassie certainly hoped that she would be able to hold on long enough for that!
- In response to Skadi's Cotton Spores, Ophelia uses Force of Will to overcome the effect immediately, charging straight thru the spores! - Following that up, Ophelia would digivolve into Himamon, and aim a basic kick at Skadi's chest! - Tempo has maxed out at 5! Move(s) Used:[ABILITY] Force of Will: Ophelia is stubborn and tenacious - even when a digimon tries to handicap her, she'll shake off the effect thru sheer willpower alone. This ability allows Ophelia to get heal a single negative status effect that may be afflicting her (damage over time, stat reduction, mute, etc.) [2 Turn Cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having particularly thick and fluffy fur, and having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against ice/cold-based attacks.
EffectsTempo - 5 of 5 Stacks; 32% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 40% increase next turn. Cooldowns:Force of Will - 0/2

So Ryouta was letting Kenny go check on Skadi for 5 minutes, and only 5 minutes, lest he lose his currently built up momentum. Walking over, he turned to Ryouta, "Thanks man. But don't forget to remind me, just in case I forget. Skadi can be quite memorising in combat, I won't lie." He tried to focus on going to where his partner was, but he couldn't help and take a peek at Ryouta doing one-armed pull ups, before glancing at his own aching arms a little sadly.
Valt explained to Kenny about how Skadi was going so far, and as he did, Kenny started to recall some of Skadi's part battles. Most of her past battles, way before they even met Ryouta and Valt, consisted of wild Digimon with the intellect and technique of a batshit-crazy animal. Valt, and apparently Ophelia, were more battle-hardened and experienced than her. He then told her that for Skadi to digivolve, around the time Ophelia did, he would have to be near her in order to activate it. His mind started to recall the first time Skadi digivolved from In-Training to Rookie.
"Oh, dude, I remember the first time my partner digivolved." He sighed happily, "We were attacked by a wild Digimon, and Skadi just up and digivolved to her Rookie form to protect me. And then my D-3 just appeared next to me. It was so exhilarating, but also so exciting at the same time." He recalled about that scary but exciting moment of his life. "And the first time she digivolved to Weatherdramon, she was so amazing, man. We were attacked by a wild BlackGarurumon, then she made quick work of him the second she digivolved. God, I was so proud of her, then." He smiled. It was clear that, despite his partner's often crazy and/or embarrassing antics and/or ideas, he was extremely proud of her for how well she was growing, which was pretty hard to ignore to the average bystander. He wished he could tell how proud he was to Skadi.
He leaned onto the wall slightly, as he continued, "I'm just really happy you're so willing to help my partner better herself, Valt. She may be a little crazy sometimes, but hey, she's a kid. And she's my friend. And I love her to bits. I don't know where I'd be today without her." He chuckled, "Thank you, Valt." Of course, he couldn't omit somebody else, as he turned to his trainer, "And thank you, Ryouta." His tone was sincere; Valt may have been quite the unconventional trainer, willing to accept Skadi's crazy bets, and just playing along anyways, and Ryouta had shades of just being a big softie underneath but there was no denying that they were the stepping stones needed for both of them to grow and improve. Like if divine intervention wanted to give the budding tamers a bit more of a push.
Skadi had a bit of a confident grin on her face, thinking she caught Ophelia off guard, but her face faulted as Ophelia just got up and charged at her instead. That wasn't supposed to happen. She was supposed to be struggling, slowing down drastically to buy time for Skadi. Except she was unimpeded, and charging at high speed, and... glowing?
Yes, that was the unmistakable light of digivolution, as Ophelia went from her tiny lion-like Spadamon form to a larger, more humanoid form, akin to Agnimon, except a more light, calm blue rather than a fierce fiery red. At once, Skadi felt a mixture of amazement and fear wash over her, as the light dispersed. Ophelia was charging at her fast and unimpeded, before she launched a powerful looking kick at her, just as another, familiar voice called "SKADI, LOOK OUT!"
Like if on command, Skadi quickly leapt out of the way, but just barely, the wind brushing against her wool, and landing with her hands and feet on the floor. Looking up, her eyes quickly glanced at Kenny, and they were practically glinting in joy. He came to watch her fight! Quickly, she got up and waved, "Kenny! You came to watch me!" She cried in joy.
Kenny just smiled at his partner in response, "Ryouta said I could have a bit of a break for 5 minutes, so I thought 'why not'? Valt said you're doing pretty good so far, but..."
"Well, he hasn't seen nothing yet! Hold on a second pal!" She yelled, before quickly running off back to Ophelia again. As much as she wanted to stay and exchange chitchat with her partner, she still had a battle to do. If Arkadimon taught her anything, it was that she really couldn't banter with anyone fully until the opponent was well and truly down. Once again, when she got close to Ophelia, this time, instead of punching the ground, she stomped the ground with a lot of force for a mere Rookie level, and quite a bit of noticeable force, too.
"SPIRAL PILLAR!!!" Once again, another tremor rumbled throughout the arena like last time, and the warning cracks in the floor would once again emerge at her feet. All the while, Skadi would feel a burst of energy start to surge through her body, as the grin returned to her face. And it wasn't lost on her partner, as Kenny felt his D-3 start to buzz slightly, and a small bit of light glowed from the screen, which would only grow as time went on.
Kenny could really feel his heart starting to pound rapidly. It was like if the aching sensations in his arms were nothing more than just a distant memory. Quickly, he turned to Valt and pointed to Skadi excitedly, "You see that, Valt? You see that? Skadi might be digivolving soon! Holy shit, I'm so excited!" He cried, before turning back to his partner, "You can do it Skadi! Show her what you're made of!" He never felt this level of excitement in a while.
Skadi barely dodges Ophelia's kick attack at the last second. In response, she uses Spiral Pillar again to catch her opponent off guard, this time stomping the floor.

"Roger that," was all Ryouta said and then he returned to his one armed pull ups.
Hmmm, it's about the time eh? Valt looked at Ophelia... so this is her new form. Interesting. However, he have to note that she seem have a passive to ignore whatever Skadi does. Is this limited to just speed or something else too? It's a good moveset, to be honest.
Valt smiled at Kenny. "Sounds like you're really proud of your partner huh? She's doing well... and this will be test that she have to overcome. After this we'll see how good she is in teamwork with someone she just fought before... but that's for a bit more... heh heh."
There's something fishy about Valt's grin, but he won't say anything for now.
To the comment of thanking him for taking her under his wings, Valt just looked at Kenny, not knowing what to say, honestly. Mainly because he's... flattered, honestly. He's happy that his usual pushy attitude about wanting to train newbies ended up actually being appreciated.
"Actually... I'm not sure if I'm doing great as a teacher. At times I wonder if I'm not being too pushy... or too high and mighty. People might ask 'what sort of actual ability you have that make you think you can give any of your students pointers?' and honestly I can't really answer that other than the fact I have been Super Ultimate... But seeing you guys so appreciative of it is more than enough for me to keep doing this you see."
Still, looks like it's not quite enough. Need more push huh... a bit more... "That's true, it's almost there huh. Kenny, what do you think causes an evolution? How to trigger it?" Valt asked.
After hearing his reply, he would then continue
"...Well, Kenny, first lemme tell you a secret in evolution, at least how me and Aniki triggered us. Normally, the first time evolving, you need to be in danger. Child stage, adult stage it's all the same. Think of your struggling partner. Think of this spar as a real battle instead. Think how she's out there fighting against an adult stage, feel that adrenaline rushing through you, and your emotions explode from that well. You need to be spontaneous, and utilize that emotion!"
That's pretty much it anyway.

As Skadi leapt away from the kick, Ophelia would skid slightly before she came to a stop; huffing, and grinning widely. There was something about digivolving to a higher stage that got her blood pumping, and perhaps it was just that; that it was a higher stage, both in strength and in combat in general. Either way, even as her tempo was leveling out some from the frenetic pace that she had gotten into from before as a Spadamon, she was quick to get back into the swing of things as she ran at Skadimon for a followup. However, what she didn't expect, was for the Valaismon to use Spiral Pillar! The strike to the floor would send the ground beneath her feet into a sway once more; but Ophelia was prepared upon hearing the attack being called out, jumping into the air to avoid the worst of the tremors. As she was, indeed, a bit caught off-guard though, the jump wasn't quite enough to avoid the spire that would jut up from the quaking ground though; but Ophelia had a plan for that as well. With a sharp HSSSSSS, ice-cold mist would jet from the holes in the gauntlets, on the back of her wrists; rapidly freezing together, and forming into a pair of crude ice bucklers on her arms! As the spire was about to make contact, Ophelia would slam one of the bucklers into the pillar; both it and the portion of rock that she struck shattering on impact. Though some of the shrapnel of the stone would still cut into her, making her hiss, she was otherwise able to safely land atop the remains of the spire on one knee. Not about to slow down anytime soon though, Ophelia would leap from the top of the spire, and attempt to come at Skadi with a jump kick! "C'mon, is that all you got?!" Ophelia would call to Skadi, grinning wildly and confidently; "Show me what your next stage's got!"
- Ophelia jumps to avoid the worst of the tremors, and uses Ice Buckler to block the spire from Spiral Pillar! (However, she does take some damage from the shrapnel.) - Landing atop the broken spire, Ophelia leaps down at Skadi in a basic jump kick! - I got confused about Tempo but it should be at 2 stacks now! Move Used:[ABILITY] Ice Buckler: Ophelia forms a shield made of ice on her arm, which she can choose to use to block an incoming attack. The shield can completely block up to 2 Champion-level attacks before shattering, or block 50% of a single Ultimate attack before shattering instantly. Otherwise, the shield lasts for 1 turn before melting completely. [3 Turn cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having particularly thick and fluffy fur, and having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against ice/cold-based attacks.
Effects:Tempo - 2 of 5 stacks; 8% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 16% increase next turn. Cooldowns:Force of Will - 1/2 Ice Buckler - 1/3
