Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Aug 11, 2019 11:00:28 GMT
The sheer cuteness that was practically radiating out of Cassie had slowly but surely been creeping up on Kenny as time went on, and he tried to stifle a giggle at the Gomamon-X's attempt at a tail wagging, and as she reassured him, he felt the live seal plushie nuzzle his leg once again. The fact that she had constantly reacted positively to what felt like everyone and their dog affectionately petting her whenever they could was not lost on Kenny either, as he once again leaned down to stroke her fur, replying with "No problem, Cassie. Always happy to help."
As for Skadi, Ophelia would remark about her own experiences and the battle beforehand. Kenny felt a little fuzzy listening to the Himamon commenting about how she was always learning from her experience. If anything, he felt like he was learning a lot from her, the devil-may-care wildchild. Skadi did blush a little bit as Ophelia complimented her, but she was trying her hardest to hide hide it, "That's what I like to hear. I'd be hard-pressed to see you whiff your own moves and going easy on me." She grinned in response, "If anything, I love a good challenge myself, if you know what I mean." She turned her head towards Valt, and only then she spotted him trying to ignore it, merely coughing as if in response. Kenny, meanwhile, smiled as he put a hand on his giant goat partner. He knew all too well.
Skadi had grinned excitedly upon Ophelia wanting to spar with her, but the grin slightly faltered as she explained that she wanted to face him solo. Still, she nodded, "I understand. Besides, Valt did say I had a few kinks I need to fix, and that little spar did show me quite a bit." She was a little disappointed that Ophelia had to turn her down on that, but she knew where she was coming from.
With that, Kenny would go over to Ryouta, who started to do the excersize routine in question. Listening to his trainer's instructions, he set himself into position, and started to do his own sit-ups. Frankly, it felt quite easier to do than the push-ups as he did, mainly because he didn't have to feel like he had to let his hands carry him, but he was starting to feel the burn.
And it was not lost on either man nor giant monster ram as they witnessed Valt change into his proper Perfect stage of Magnamon. Kenny, even while doing his crunches, was having a hard time trying to not to look upon the shiny knight in golden armour, while Skadi felt her own heart racing like crazy in excitement. "I'm ready." She simply said with a slight grin, as she followed Ophelia to the arena. Once there, she would stand next to Ophelia, her mind already swarming with potential courses of action. Learning from her first battle with Valt, and the fact he dodged her opening attack by letting her go first, she took no course of action just yet, but rather, scraped a front hove across the floor and looking at her opponent excitedly.
Of course, Cassie's arrival had been a surprise to Kenny. And now he was mentally fighting the urge to stop his exercise routine to just pet her because... well... she was Cassie for God's sake.

What is... this illegally cute being? Valt never seen anything like this before... Sure he had patted Ophi several times lately because he found out it would calm the Spadamon quicker than punishing her for whatever reason... because apparently punishing her by taking away her training time ends badly for both of them... taking away her snacks too... and then telling her that he'll give her more training time actually ENCOURAGED her to misbehave... this lion is a headache and half, until he found out that the best way to go for it is to just make her calm down with headpats and neck scritches. But this? This is.. this is on level of illegally cute. This is a foul play, one that made you want to spoil her forever.
Either way... with that out of the way, Valt decided to face his two disciples. "First and foremost, lemme open this with a simple lecture... A Digimon at a stage is four times as strong as four Digimon a level under them. So basically you guys are half as strong as a Perfect Stage. Alone, I'm 4 times stronger than you two individually. That's why you have to do some teamwork against me...
...I'll not hold back, but I'll not kill you, don't worry. The fight will be over once two of you are knocked out, or you guys managed to beat me... if that's too hard, just lock my movement and aim some sword to my neck... who knows. Basically, just make me admit defeat, alright? Well then..."
Valt gestured at the two to come at him. "...Come if you dare."

Cassie would sigh happily as Kenny once more leaned down to pet her - eagerly nuzzling against the young man's hand all the whilst. She seemed unawares to Valt's dilemma over her illegal levels of cuteness, instead just being perfectly content getting some attention. "Yesss, just like that..." She'd happily purr - her tail and backside wiggling once more once Kenny found a good spot on her head. Of course, this couldn't go on forever. Kenny would, eventually, have to leave to train with Ryouta - drawing a soft and disappointed sound from her... This disappointment would only be brief, though, as she'd prick up at seeing Ophelia, Skadi, and Valt getting up to prepare sparring once more. As before, Cassie would settle down to watch both the trio's sparring and Ryouta and Kenny's training both at once; waving a flipper to them. "You guys can do it! Do your best!" She'd cheer to everyone - grinning happily. Ophelia would glance back to Cassie, as she stepped into the arena, before being unable to help a grin - doing a two-fingered salute in the Gomamon-X's direction. "Will do!" She'd call back - before glancing back to Valt, and the challenge before them. Hearing him explain the significance behind him being at Perfect stage, there was a slight sharp inhale as excitement began to thrum under her skin once more - faint clouds of frosty mist billowing from the vents in her armor. He was strong like this - she knew it, and the intensity of Valt's signal only confirmed it. She'd need Skadi's backup if she was to properly fight him... ... but she was still excited as all hell to put her skills to the test here and now, even without Skadi's aid. "Well, you ready Skadi?" Ophelia would question - glancing in the Canandenmon's direction with a wide and wild grin; looking more and more like a wild digimon might. "Cause I sure as hell am; let's give him an all-out attack, then!"Eagerly going on the offensive - as is the norm for Ophelia - the Himamon would charge forward, already drawing her Blue Blade in one hand, and forming a frozen replica in the other in dual wielding! She was going for a frontal assault, and would immediately go in to slash and jab at Valt with her twin blades; aiming for the less armored portions such as the lower portions of his shoulders, his torso, and his hips. Of course, a frontal assault like this would be easy to see and counter; but the ever-eager Ophelia knew this. In fact, she wanted Valt to react, to really get a feel for what he could do! And if Skadi took advantage of Valt being distracted by her attack, well... All the better.
- Ophelia charges front and center, using Frozen Blades on Valt! - Tempo reaches 1 stack Move Used:[ATTACK] Frozen Blades: Using her Blue Blade in addition to an ice replica, Ophelia darts in and slashes or jabs at the foe! Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having particularly thick and fluffy fur, and having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against ice/cold-based attacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM] Tempo: Ophelia is a scrapper who prefers getting up close and personal - and the more she fights, the easier it gets for her as she gets into the rhythm of it. For each turn that she makes a direct melee attack, she gains 1 stack of Tempo at the end of that turn - and for each turn that she doesn't make a melee attack, she loses 1 stack of Tempo at the end. She gets a 8% attack and accuracy increase for each stack she gets, capping at 40% attack and accuracy at 5 stacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM GIGA] Lionheart: Ophelia is stubborn, willful, and passionate - especially in the heat of battle. Those who try to influence her mind or emotions find it difficult to overcome this side of her - and more often than not, she powers thru from sheer will, and the sheer anger at someone trying to control her like such. As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. How was it humanly possible for a cute little pup like Cassie to be both cute and clever? As he did his sit-ups, his eyes glanced over to the Gomamon-X positioning herself to try and watch both him and Skadi at the exact same time, cheering them on from the sides. Kenny, even throughout his exercise, could only smile in response, "Thanks Cassie. I'll try." He told her, again resisting the urge to stop and pet her once again.
Still, Kenny would try to do some more sit-ups, having done 10 so far. He aimed to do 10 more, but sadly, he could only manage 5 more, before flopping down onto the ground like a wet ragdoll, beads of sweat covering his face, and painting heavily. While the sit-ups felt a million times more easier than the push-ups, it still gave him a bit of a burn, and he just glanced over to Ryouta, "Did I do good?" He simply said, silently praying his trainer would say 'yes'.
Meanwhile, Skadi would likewise turn over to Cassie like with her now-partner Ophelia, giving a grin and a nod towards the Gomamon-X herself, before perking up her ears and listening to Valt's brief lecture. Quickly, she would get the gist of what she needed to know; he wouldn't be holding back, and the objective was to simply knock him out. As Valt gestured them to start, Skadi would only smirk confidently, "Oh, don't you worry, Valt. I'm not gonna hold back either." She replied, her hoof still scraping the ground.
Ophelia, in turn, would talk to Skadi, announcing to go for an all out attack. Skadi would grin and nod once herself, but already a plan was formulating in her head. The last time Valt let her attack first, he unceremoniously dodged it without a second thought, and no way was she gonna repeat that mistake. But Ophelia had been charging straight ahead to strike Valt head on. But that didn't mean Skadi was out of ideas.
Rather, she proceeded to run past Valt instead a good distance, and once she was at a good distance, she would run behind his back, before tucking down her head, and her horns glowing white. "Ra-" Almost immediately, she would bite her tongue, before continuing her charge. Breaking her habit of calling her attacks would be tricky, but nevertheless, if things worked, Valt would probably be so distracted fighting back, he probably wouldn't detect a charging ram ready to strike him directly in the back until it was too late.
Skadi, taking advantage of Ophelia distracting Valt, uses Rampaging Charge to strike him directly in the back while he's (probably) distracted.
Rampaging Charge: Skadi's horns glow bright white and she charges at the opponent. She can choose to headbutt them or gore them or toss them upon contact. Essentially, it's a more powerful version of Ramming Headbutt, and can easily send other Champions flying on contact. Taking the law of physics into consideration, any damage boost outside of any standard attack buffs is equal to any speed boosts Skadi has gotten, so a 10% speed boost will also boost this attack by 10%, a 20% speed boost also boosts this attack by 20% and so on. (1 post cooldown)
Passives: Tough Hooves (Passive): Skadi can run across craggy terrain, icy terrain or hot terrain without taking any damage. She can also walk/run on ice without slipping, and climb crags with ease. This also nullifies the effects of any attacks that involve scattering spikes or other damaging terrain onto the ground (damage, poison, ect). However, this does not stop other effects from occurring from those attacks (those being explosions, pitfall traps, net traps, and the like)
Woolly Coat (Passive): Her wool coat gives her sheer bulk, and warmth rolled up into one package, which allows her to reduce all physical attacks and Ice attacks by 30%. However, this also increases all damage from Fire attacks by 20%.

Ophelia and Skadi... both of them are good fighters, sort of. Ophelia is more experienced because she's a senior disciple, while Skadi seem to be a bit green. Either way Valt is proud of them both... but that doesn't mean that he'll just roll over and make it easy for them. He have mission today... and that is to give the two of them a taste of battle with higher stage. Back when he was with Skadi, it was armor perfect... that's still nothing compared to the actual thing.
While Cardinaldramon is suited for fighting by supporting wind allies and certain level of teamplay, Magnamon is a ruthless combatant that meant for one versus many... Yes, it's in situation like this.
Valt watches as Ophelia attacked him. It's predictable, all of it, and that's why Valt know that she's planning something... Testing the water, is it? It's a good move, but he wonder if she's ready for his move? He also glanced toward Skadi while dodging the attacks from Ophelia... His younger disciple instead opted to... ran past him? She instead encircled him--ah, pincer attack was it?
That would be good and all, but there's a mistake there. the moment he felt the time is right, Valt suddenly strafed to the right, and encircled Ophelia. He does not even take a break after doing that, and instead kicked the ground to propel himself forward. He aimed to grab her on the neck and back then pushes her at Skadi while aiming to trip her so she less likely to dodge.
Even if Skadi can brake on time, if these moves work, it'll most likely open them to attack, unless Ophelia decided to be creative too.
"When facing someone stronger and faster compared to you, remember this. Do not do pincer attack, especially when they're aware of your position! They'll do something like this! You would have better chance to hit me with long range attack than actually charging at me! You won't be able to stop the momentum!"
Still, that's not enough. Valt suddenly opened his armors vents, letting out numerous number of missiles that seems to seek the two combatants.
Ryouta, counting the number of situps done by Kenny, nodded. "..Ten is about right. How are your arms feeling? And your stomach. Feel the burn yet? Keep yourself hydrated, alright?"
Valt dodged Ophelia's attack, and tried to grab her by her neck, then proceed to trip her while pushing her toward the incoming Skadi! Valt used Blitzkrieg: Guided missiles that attacks all opponents on 50 meter radius, able to chase enemy once more after dodged once. Two turns cooldown.

Ophelia wasn't expecting for her attack to land; Valt was likely better in every which way - including reactions and speed. And even if her attack did land, she wasn't expecting it to leave him particularly hurting, either. This was all simply her testing the waters - as Valt figured - and trying to get a feel for this new form of his. As a result, she wasn't too surprised when Valt would easily weave around her attacks; expecting it, in fact. Valt was faster than expected, however; weaving around her to grab her by the neck. As soon as she felt the grip though, Ophelia was ready to fight back like a wild beast; lashing out by attempting to kick backwards at Valt's unarmored thigh/knees and elbowing backwards at his unarmored gut. She wasn't about to go down easily, that much was for sure! And that would only be doubly true, as she noted Skadi's charge, and Valt attempting to trip and push her in the Canandenmon's direction. Though Ophelia was briefly off-balance, there was only so much someone could do to trip from behind - and her feline graces kicked in almost immediately. Kicking off of Valt as soon as she was freed, Ophelia would still end up in a trajectory aimed at Skadi - but instead of impacting off of the sheep digimon's horns, she would allow herself to tumblr over Skadi's back to lessen the impact, gripping onto her wool to avoid falling off completely! This maneuver would still briefly knock the breath out of her - those horns were no joke, after all - but it was otherwise a glancing blow that she was able to easily recover from. She would grip tightly onto Skadi's wool as she rearranged herself into a proper seated position on the Cananden's back, much like one might a horse, as she listened to Valt's advice; readying herself for whatever he might have in store next. And indeed did he deliver - a salvo of missiles coming after her and Skadi from underneath his armor! Ophelia would be quick to brace herself; one hand gripping at the wool between Skadi's shoulders, and the other arm raised up to create an ice shield, in an attempt to defend against the onslaught. The resulting barrage would be brutal, however; and her shield would only be able to hold up against a small handful of the missiles before it would shatter, leaving her open to the remaining missiles aimed at her! She'd snarl in pain - both hands gripping at Skadi's wool in an attempt to avoid taking yet another tumble - but would otherwise remain steadfast against the attack. Fuck, did that hurt; and she was pretty sure she ended up taking a few of the missiles that had been meant for Skadi, too! Hissing low, Ophelia would go low to Skadi's back - as to avoid being an easy target for any further ranged attacks from Valt, as well as to mutter to her. "His attacks fuckin' hurt, and an upfront probably ain't our best bet - though it's where I'm most comfortable. What are you thinking, Skadi?"
- Though Valt is able to grapple Ophelia, she lashes back in retaliation with some kicks and elbow jabs! - Once thrown, Ophelia takes light glancing damage from Rampaging Charge, and tumbles over towards Skadi's back - beginning to ride her like a horse! - Ophelia uses Ice Buckler to block Blitzkrieg - though still takes half damage, and ends up (unintentionally) bodying a few missiles meant for Skadi as well! - Tempo reaches 2 stacks Move Used:[ABILITY] Ice Buckler: Ophelia forms a shield made of ice on her arm, which she can choose to use to block an incoming attack. The shield can completely block up to 2 Champion-level attacks before shattering, or block 50% of a single Ultimate attack before shattering instantly. Otherwise, the shield lasts for 1 turn before melting completely. Skadi had fully expected that Valt would be so busy tackling Ophelia, he wouldn't have time to spot her charging directly at him. But Valt wasn't dumb. Far from it. She failed to notice him noticing her, and as she charged head on, Valt simply moved out of the way, before grappling onto a wildly flailing Ophelia and tossing her at the giant ram. Quickly, Skadi tried to break to avoid hitting the Himamon, but Ophelia had other ideas, instead flinging herself onto her horns and then onto her back. "Oh shit, Ophelia, you OK? I'm so sorry!" She called out to her. Regardless, she felt Ophelia starting to mount onto her properly, and she could see what the Himamon had in mind. Instead of trying to toss her off, she straightened her body to help align her partner on her back. Canandenmon could easily support her weight. As it turned out, Valt had revealed he had seen her run over, if his lesson was anything to go by, resulting in a failed pincer attack. Suddenly, a barrage of missiles flew towards the two, and as Skadi started to gallop away to help them dodge the swarm, a cool wisp slipped through her wool as Ophelia summoned her shield to block the attacks. The missiles came hard, and fast, and the time spent as her Champion form was quickly catching up to her, as the bullets came and struck against her body. She bleated heavily in pain as the missiles struck her body, unable to dodge them all in time. Still, if it was any mercy, Ophelia did help to take some of the pain away. Perfect levels could hurt like hell for 2 mere Champions, so at least Ophelia could soak up some of the attacks, especially with her shield. She stumbled a little bit, but still remained standing. She felt Ophelia lower herself onto her body, and listened to her whisper. A full frontal assault was not a good idea. But Skadi had some tricks up her sleeve, she turned to Ophelia and replied, "Hold on tight, Ophelia, I'm going to shake things up a bit." She stomped her hoove once, causing a powerful tremor to rumble. Ophelia would probably feel a little jiggle, but that wouldn't be enough to truly throw her off, because Canandenmon could withstand the earthquake. Valt, on the other hand, would have cracks forming at the feet, and if he didn't escape, he would be pierced by a giant spire, potentially leaving him up to another attack.
As for Kenny, he really could feel the burn in his body. He slowly sat himself up properly, panting, "Yeah, thanks man. Truth be told, it was a little easier than the push ups." He grabbed himself a bottle of water, from Ryouta's suggestion, and started to drink a little bit, already feeling a bit of relief from that. He wasn't exactly the most active person to walk the earth, but at least he knew he was healthy. He wiped at his forehead to get some sweat off him, before continuing, "Jesus Christ almighty, I've never done this much amount of excersize before in my life. Closest thing I've ever gotten to it were all those daily walks with my dad." He chuckled weakly, his arms holding him up from the ground, "You must've worked really hard to get those good pecs. My dad would be so jealous." Michael was a pretty strong man, but mainly from the work he did as a young man himself. He was fit, but he clearly saw better days. Skadi gets hit with the barrage of missiles from Blitzkrieg, and nearly stumbles. She responds with Spiral Tremour to try and catch Valt off guard. Spiral Tremor: A much more stronger version of Spiral Pillar, Skadi stomps the ground several times to cause a powerful tremor to summon up to 3 spires to attack the enemy (if there is one enemy, then this becomes one huge spire instead), reaching up to 10 meters per spire, or 15 meters for the super spire. This attack can pierce Champion-level defence buffs and passives, and break shields for maximum possible damage. If this attack hits a Ultimate-level instead, then this attack does 50% of the maximum damage to them if they have any passives or buffs active that would otherwise decrease it, or if a shield is active (but does not break it). Ally Digimon may be affected by the earthquake as well (but cannot be damaged by it). However, the spires will never hit an ally. If there are more than one enemy in the radius, Skadi can select who gets hit by the spires, but all of them can be affected by the earthquake regardless, leaving them open to attack from allies. (3 post cooldown) Passives:Tough Hooves (Passive): Skadi can run across craggy terrain, icy terrain or hot terrain without taking any damage.

The difference in height is made apparent. Ophi may try to do any of those, but Valt's grip was firm. It's a good idea and definitely hurts a bit (he wonders if she won't hit his armors somehow), but he wished she could just try to lit herself up instead to make him release her. Much more productive when grappled. Then again, he have no idea if this Agnimon-reverse got any sort of moves like that. But he can appreciate her quick thinking of using shield like that to protect herself and Skadi when the missile hit. A proud smile graced his face. That's his disciple alright!
Then the appearance of Skadi's attack... The telltale sign would be great for ground based enemy as it can make them fell prone and unable to correctly position themselves, and most likely would STILL get hit by the attack anyway... After all, earthquake can mess with your balance and most of all make you dizzy... it's definitely a nasty attack worthy for its long cooldown. However?
On flying type, that's not as effective.
Valt immediately dodged the moment he felt the tremor, flying toward the air and readies his own attack. A golden colored light concentrated on his hand as he does.
"Not bad choice of an attack, but as you can see... it won't work on flying type like me, Skadi. Try another strategy," he told his disciple.
<Valt is charging Luminous Stream>
Training so hard huh... "Well, I admit I have no idea what happened before I lost my memories of my first time going to Digital World, but I think I can pretty much chalk it up to Digital World time dilation, you know? So either way, it might looks like slow time for people who are not chosen, but for me, I pretty much spent a damn lot of time in this world training, I guess...
But you know? Training worth it. Mainly because in this world sometimes danger are factor that you can't evade. That's why I trained... survivability is important, Kenny. Plus our group is very exploration heavy. So want it or not you'll probably get six packs sooner or later," Ryouta joked.

If Ophelia's strikes had hit armor, it was likely that she wouldn't care; between her high pain tolerance, and being heavily armored herself. The likeliest way she might've hurt herself lashing out might be with her elbow jabs - given that they weren't quite as armored - though even then, her bracers had a slight outcropping that reached beyond her forearms and partially covered her elbows. And either way, she was, frankly, was more focused on the heat of the fight; more focused on staying on her toes than whether she might be hurting herself in the process. Which, Ophelia couldn't help a small curse to herself as she saw Skadi's attack be dodged effortlessly; hands tightly gripping into Skadi's wool as she laid low to maintain balance, eyes narrowing as she thought to herself. She couldn't reach him like this - not if he was flying, after all. And on top of that, Ophelia could see that he was starting to prepare some sort of attack or ability; no doubt something akin to the Valt Crash of before. The Himamon was quiet, briefly considering this - before she'd murmur her own plan into Skadi's ear "Give me a boost - gonna jump off your horns." Once she muttered that out, she would briefly prepare herself, muscles bunching up... And once she was ready to strike - drawing her sword in one hand - Ophelia would stand on Skadi's back, stepping forward to brace herself against the Canadenmon's horns. Hopefully, if Skadi gave her that needed boost, she would jump off of the horns like a springpad; using the inertia from the boost so that she could reach Valt above! All the whilst though, she would be thinking - thinking back to the first spar she had with Valt, and the advice that she gave him about how to strike at a charging foe. An overhead swing, with the back of the blade... ... Well, she certainly hoped she wouldn't disappoint! With a vigorous roar, Ophelia would bring back her blade as it extended with ice - that familiar Frozen Cleave attack - before swinging it overhead, attempting to strike Valt upside the head with the blunt of; it with the inertia of the leap behind it, no less!
- Ophelia, using Skadi's horns like a springboard (and hopefully with Skadi helping boost her,) leaps up at Valt and uses Frozen Cleave; though strikes him with the blunt of the blade, instead of the sharp edge! - Tempo is now at 3 stacks Move Used:[ATTACK] Frozen Cleave: Enhancing her Blue Blade with ice to make it more fitting as a standard sword, Ophelia darts in with a battlecry and slashes down the foe with ferocity! Unarmed Variant: With gauntlets of ice, Ophelia bashes her foe with her fists! [1 Turn Cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against conditions of extreme cold, as well as ice/cold-based attacks.

Skadi was very used to fighting opponents directly on the ground, but one of her weaknesses was quickly becoming apparent to the casual observer. For you see, grounded opponents would struggle trying to keep themselves on their feet, but a flying enemy could simply dodge it with ease, by simply flying away from both the earthquake and the spire itself, making Skadi stomp once in frustration. And yes, she could hear Ophelia cursing and gripping onto her wool tightly, "Feeling's mutual, Ophi." She whispered back. Even through her bangs, she could notice that Valt was charging something in his palms, and considering neither party could fly, that essentially made them into sitting ducks for him at this point. Nothing more than target practice for whatever he had in store. But not until Ophelia whispered her plan into Skadi's ear, with the Canandenmon nodding and grinning in response. On cue, as Ophelia readied herself, Skadi digged her hooves onto the solid floor. and arched her head to a certain angle to ensure the Himamon would be able to stay on before she jumped. Then, as Ophelia launched herself off her horns, Skadi would raise her head too, like if the Himamon jumped off an actual springpad, before letting out a triumphant bleat to help reinvigorate their spirits and give her, and Ophelia quite a boost in the process. But that was all she could do... for now. She was in no position to do much, other than watch the end results of that little strategy. She made sure not to lose sight of Valt or Ophelia, and if bad turned to worse, she would try and escape from Valt's upcoming attack as soon as humanly possible. Hopefully. She spent quite a while as Canandemon already, and the pressure was starting to weigh on her a little.
Apparently, Ryouta had lost his memory from the first time he went to the Digital World, much to Kenny's surprise, but unsurprisingly, the subsequent time dilation gave him plenty of time to train up himself. It did make Kenny think; he could easily use this to his advantage: he needed to study for an exam? Why not jump into the Digital World and study there, for one? But Ryouta was right. All that training was going to be worth it for him in the end. Kenny nodded in understanding and took in every word his trainer said. As he and Skadi were going to become part of KIZNA, that would essentially benefit in the long run. He chuckled at Ryouta's joke, "Well, if anything I'll at least be able to impress and surprise others with my six pack when others ask." He quipped. Actually, the prospect of getting a six pack did sound pretty good as well... "But anyways, what should we do next?" Skadi helps Ophelia by giving her a boost with her horns before following up with Battlecry to raise their stats for the next 3 posts. She opts to stand there for now and watches Valt, preparing to run if he tries to attack her. Battlecry: Skadi bleats loudly and proudly, but this time around, instead of causing damage, her bleats are very invigorating, giving herself and up to 2 allies within earshot 30% more attack and 10% more speed for the next 3 posts. Skadi can select which 2 allies will get the boost if there is more than 3. (3 post cooldown) Passives:Tough Hooves (Passive): Skadi can run across craggy terrain, icy terrain or hot terrain without taking any damage.

At first, Valt thought that Ophi followed his advice too much to the dot. After all, he's helmeted. What's the use of a helmet? To protect the head. Even if Ophi used the blunt end, the difference between perfect and adult was too much for it to be that noticable. He'll probably just hear some ring, and it won't exactly tremble. If she's stronger, that would do... but that's exactly what happened. Skadi's bleat empowered her, and he only need a split second to understand that this is not the kind of power that he can scoff at either. He'll feel this.
KLOOOONGGG---!!
The ringing was absolute pain in the ass. It might not enough to make Valt completely misses his aim or unable to charge more, but he must admit, that was a fine teamwork. However, Magnamon is a form that made to get more power the moment he's damaged. The moment he does, Valt's body suddenly zapping with electricity. Ah, he wanted to give his disciple something more to react, but... this is good.
"Wheeew...."
It won't hurt as much compared to facing same level, but damn, that stung a bit.
"You guys got it down already after that missile. So let's take a bit of a break to recap... Ophi! Normally, against higher opponent with helmet, especially high leveled one, that sort of trick won't work. But thanks to Skadi's bleat, at least it worked a bit. However, you will have better chance if you can use a projectile against my eyes or my wings while I can't move! I got no complaint against Skadi this time around, you did great! But it'll be better if you also have some form of actual long ranged attack! As it is, you're sitting duck against flying enemy! A gravity attack that can disable flying also would do great. Once you're official member of the team, go ask Gryz for that sort of ability, considering that you're both earth element user! Erm what's next... I guess you guys can decide if you have more question, or if you have any pressing ones that I can answer."
Ryouta just chuckled at Kenny's joke. What's next eh? "Well, you done push up, then sit up... now that they're resting... hmmm... I'd recommend something with legs next. How about side jumping? You might think that it's not much, but later on in training we'll have something like balance training, thus it's important to be able to sidesteps quickly to gain your footing."

As Skadi bellowed out with a bleat, Ophelia could practically feel the energy coming to the surface with it - the excitement of a good fight sparking up even brighter, causing her to subconsciously growl with that same excitement as she swung her blade down against Valt's helmet. And as the blade impacted, the bang that rung out from the helmet would indeed be loud - Ophelia couldn't help a brief wince, both from her sensitive ears, and how it must've been for Valt!
Once the strike landed though, Ophelia would begin to descend from the leap - landing deftly on her feet, though she couldn't help a brief stumble. Much like the Canandenmon form was wearing on Skadi, Ophelia could feel her body starting to protest a little from being in Champion stage for this long. She wasn't about to let her guard down just because she was starting to tire a little bit, though - already attempting to prepare herself for whatever Valt might have up his sleeve to use in retaliation! ...
... At least, until Ophelia noticed Valt seeming to relax. A break, already? Ophelia would deflate slightly - but she seemed unable to completely relax, the invigoration from Skadi's battlecry still running thru her veins. She clearly wasn't ready to stop quite yet - protesting "Fuck, we're taking a break already? But we barely even got rolling!" as she moved over to Skadi's side. "Especially now that Skadi's got me all wound up with that battlecry of her's, I want to let all this energy out on something!"
Blowing out a raspberry at nothing in particular, Ophelia would take the time to hop back up onto Skadi's back, and flop across the large mass of wool that she was - letting out a disgruntled grumble into her wool. It was clear that she was still listening to Valt, though; half-lidded eyes peering in his direction as she idly bent her legs, swinging them back and forth in the air as she idly kneaded and ran her fingers thru Skadi's wool in her own little way of fidgeting from the energy thrumming under her skin. "Yeah, I wasn't expecting to do all that much damage, hitting your helmet." Ophelia admitted with a snort, grinning slightly. "I wanted to daze you a bit, maybe see if the ringing would throw off your concentration; between using one of my stronger attacks, me getting into the tempo of the fight, and Skadi buffing me. Certainly sounded loud though, at least to me!"
The mention of trying to use a projectile, though... Ophelia thought for a second, tilting her head a bit as she furrowed her brows. "... I mean, I'm not really one for ranged combat." She'd remark, rolling over on Skadi's back, so that the Himamon was now laying on her back... on her back. "I want to get up n' close, I want to clash weapons and trade punches; that's what I'm made for. Ranged combat doesn't come easily to me, to be honest - and it doesn't seem like it'd have the same thrill that fighting up close does,"

Skadi, despite her exhaustion starting to grow more and more apparent from being in this new Canandenmon form for the very first time, had a huge grin spread across her face as Ophelia's swing hit straight and true. Any feelings of doubt that may have had arised inside of her quickly died out just as fast, as visible sparks and jolts flowed through the Magnamon's body, thought she did flinch a bit from the ringing. Still, she was not one to relax and let her guard down just yet, she was still ready to run the second Valt fired.
That second, unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) never came. Rather, Valt called for time, much to Ophelia's chagrin, as she bemoaned how Skadi's battlecry only got her more worked up. A guilty look formed onto Skadi's face as she turned to the approaching Himamon, "Yeahhh, sorry about that Ophi. I didn't think we'd stop so soon myself. And I was just getting into rhythm myself too." She let Ophelia climb onto her thick wool without any issue - not that she minded whatever she did, her strength and bulk could easily support the average, bog standard Champion level or two.
Despite Ophelia's constant fidgeting within her wool, a very minor distraction, and the evergrowing pins and needles developing inside her feet, Skadi would also listen intently to what Valt had to say. While she was practically gushing when Valt praised her, the mention of projectiles did make Skadi fidget a little bit, brushing a front hoove against the floor. She did possess some long range moves, Spiral Tremor for one, but all Valt needed to do was fly off and call it a day. A thought started to emerge inside her head: was she really a sitting duck for flying Digimon? Certainly she could stand toe to toe with Ophelia once she got her shit together, but she couldn't actually fly.
And as it turned out, Valt was right. She was a sitting duck against flying enemies like him, and while she barely knew the true extent of her powers just yet, the suggestion to go find Gryz when she had the chance to do so. She nodded in understanding, and simply said, "I will, thank you, Valt-senpai."
So any more questions? Well, there were a million questions rushing throughout her head at this point. But there was one that was heavily weighing on her at this point. Best to get it off her chest now, "Well, Ophelia here did have a good point earlier, I, or rather, we, honestly feel the most comfortable fighting in close range, although I do have some long range abilities in my arsenal." She tapped her front hoove briefly, "I'm just wondering, how can we improve on it, especially against flying enemies, now?"
So what was next for Kenny at this point? Certainly, for not being much of an athletic guy, he seemed to be doing well for himself. And surprisingly enough, Ryouta suggested Kenny do some side jumping next. And could anybody blame him for looking a little confused at first? He didn't exactly follow the biggest exercise trends, and, up until now, only did basic exercise in the form of standard walks.
But Ryouta's reasoning did indeed resonate with him, "You got a point there, Ryouta." Kenny mused out loud, "After all, I'm pretty sure quickly jumping out of the way in time might just save my life someday, maybe from a giant monster breath, probably."
Pulling himself up, he would follow anything Ryouta would tell him to do. "Alrighty. Just say when, and I'll start jumping." Truth be told, he was starting to feel a little exhausted at this point, even when Cassie chipped in a bit to help him earlier. Having not been used to this sort of regime at this point, he would not be surprised if he fell over and hurt himself at any point.

Hmmm, Valt only could smile wryly behind his mask. The two disciple is not happy with the order to break huh. Is it because they're high on adrenaline? "Alright you two, listen well. That was a test, and if I were to seriously fire that at you, you guys are going to have a lot of trouble, you know. There are two types of charging. First is the type that still lets you dodge while you charge, and another that forces you to focus on charging... If your enemy is the stationary charge type where their charging require them to be immobile... Get your best defense ready. They're going to hit like a truck. It's probably best to interrupt them in some way, but that sort of moves are not going to help. Then the most you can do is to make their aim off.
If you're one stage lower than me, that means your power is four times less than me. If I were to shot that at one of you, that's not going to be pretty, ladies. I'm not going to be responsible for that. Although I admit if you let me charge until three turns I will fire at your general direction just to show you how important it is to not let your enemy charge without tending to them. But you guys did, except less than perfect I guess, but you still did. And that's great."
He understood that they're unhappy, but they need to know that praise and punishment are in order in training.
"I understand also that it bums you, but at the same time you two has fought for a while now. You're against a perfect who can assume Ultimate stage. With this in mind, how would you fight? How should you conserve your strength? Granted I might also wasting your energy by telling you to rest, heh.
I'm not looking down on you, mind. You two exceeded my expectation, although it wasn't quite perfect, but you pretty much scored against me in this form, and that's amazing."
He pat two of them on the head before continuing.
"Ophi, your desire to tussle is fine, but don't let that closes your eyes to potentials that you can do to make opponent fight in your field. What's important is to drag your opponent to battlefield you can win, and not to situation where you're in the losing end. So what if they're flying? Create some chains of ice, 'GET OVER HERE' and pull them while making them slower for example. Or maybe creates hail so that they would drop for another... but that's for higher level. If you're not into it, search another way."
"As for Skadi, if you're not against using projectiles, try creating some from earth. Earthen spears. If you can't, then perhaps slashes a projectile generated from your horn. If that's not possible too... I have no idea other than to bring your enemy down by force with gravity. By nature those who flies tends to be superior to those who are affixed to the ground due to better degree of movement. That's why you should have projectile attacks, or at least ones that can pull them back to earth.
...Call it hubris, but there are not that many Digimon who flies that apparently got measures against ability that prevented them to fly. I don't have it either, but at the same time... I don't need it either. I can fight on ground and on sky well."
Ryouta meanwhile nodded at what Kenny said. "Righteo... then how about you start... now?"
Ryouta of course had a handy counter ready, clicking everytime Kenny sidestepped. The goal is how many times he can sidestep in three minutes.

"It's okay..." Ophelia would sigh against Skadi's wool, in response to the Canandenmon's apology; hands still idly kneading at the wool. "I'll probably see if there's anything in this gym that I can poke at later to let off this adrenaline; assuming that being in this form for so long doesn't knock me out first, heh." She'd chuckle softly at this; already seeming to be settling down some, even if she was still antsy and wound up. Speaking of being like this for so long, though... The previous protest of her body was starting to morph into a constant low ache in her muscles; and it certainly wasn't the good kind of ache that she got from exercise, though she could still bear it.
She'd quietly listen to Valt's words in the meantime; frowning softly as she processed both the praise and the chiding that he gave them. Yeah, getting hit by the attack that Valthad been charging probably would've hurt - but it wasn't like they were still beat up from the previous spar; she was confident that she could've taken it! ... Even if that meant that she had to be healed up a second time, between that and the missile attack from before. ... Okay, maybe she sees what Valt meant now.
"Maybe I would've been better off saving my buckler for that, then..." Ophelia would breathe to herself; visibly thoughtful as she continued to listen to Valt's words. And that attack could charge for that long...?? That sounded wild, and like it'd definitely hurt like a bitch... Maybe she should do something like that, too? The thought certainly was entertaining to her; charging together some gigantic weapon to use on someone...! She'd chuckle to herself at the thought; unable to help fantasizing a little...
... though, the words that would follow in Valt's praising and chiding, would turn her imagination and thoughts to another direction. Less than perfect, yet they still did it... ...
It, honestly, all struck a certain chord in her; making her think back to when she was a little younger, still a fresh Rookie, and still learning to fight with a sword. Of evenings sparring with Mom like the wild beasts that they were, of being drilled to be tenacious and tough, and of being told that she did 'Good enough, for now.'
... And yet only ever just good enough, for the time being...
The head pat would jolt her from her thoughts before they could leak outwards and show on her face, though; Ophelia blinking in surprise at Valt. It seemed that she had been spacing out briefly - not completely catching the last part of what he had to say to the both of them. "... Sorry," She'd mumble with a brief snort, grinning a bit sheepishly; being sure that Valt would chide her for that, too. She'd just tell him that she had been thinking of how she could do a charge attack like him, if he asked.
Instead, Ophelia would begin to sit proper on Skadi's back, as Valt began to go over some more specific advice for her. This would make her think a second, considering the concept of pulling an enemy down into close combat as opposed to leaping up at them like she did with Valt. Ice chains, huhm...? The Himamon would be in visible thought as she considered this; nodding in acknowledgement and understanding. The only question now, would be how to apply that; though she had a feeling that that'd be something she'd be thinking over for a little while...
In any case, Cassie was still here, of course; and she would come up to Skadi and Ophelia, chirping "Even if it was a little short, that all looked really awesome!" with a bright and happy grin; her tail wagging. "I can't wait until I get big like you Ophi, Skadi, or like Valt!" Ophelia couldn't help grinning back, laughing gently as she jumped down from Skadi's back to sit with Cassie; ruffling the tuft on her head. "Hell yeah, Cass!" Though, speaking of getting big and strong... Ophelia glanced over in Valt's direction, asking "What's next, if anything, then?"
