Golden Week. It’s time where several national holidays are scattered inside that week, creating a one week worth of holiday for students and workers alike to enjoy. However, for this year there is an unprecedented history where the golden week stretched into 10 days golden week. Of course some people used this chance to have fun and overall just rest from stressful day to day work. Regardless of some people’s worries like not having access to their bank for like six working days, some chosens are definitely spending the time in Digital World and perhaps catch up to an adventure that they left behind for days due to their human world duties…
...Or that was the plan, but looks like there’s another adventure in their own beloved Shibuya. Unprecedented events came in many ways… first, the emperor abdicated his throne, thus the crown prince succeeded it. Second, the 10 days golden week… third…
“We apologize for disturbing your leisure time TV Programme. For the moment there are sighting reports about talking monsters in Shibuya area. Reports showed that three area, Miyashita Park, Entertainment District and Hachiko Square are filled with several of these creatures. Our reporter Andou is on the site. Andou, please.”
The studio visual now cut to the field, where a female reporter, dressed for the occasion. Jumping behind her and overall having fun, though, are Digimons. They’re unmistakable. Some are playing see-saws, some are hanging upside down on pull up bar, and there are even Betamon and Gomamon chilling near a drinking fountain, blowing bubbles. Some Agumon and Guilmon breathes out fireballs to make a makeshift fireworks with help of a Monodramon that shot electric charged attacks at the balls.
“Here we are at Miyashita Park, currently nearing eight o’clock in the evening we found several creatures, talking creatures, actually… they named themselves as ‘Digimon’, coming from another world.”
“Heeey, Shibuya Humans, sup! We’re Digimons and we came in peace!” a Gottsumon flashed a peace sign along with a Pumpmon beside him, as excitable as he is.
“Pardon but are you sure you’re not just kids early for halloween?”
“Well, we’re not kids, you know, we’re Digimons! Digital Monsters! Several of us are already living with you guys without you knowing, or probably already know. It’s nothing dangerous though so you shouldn’t worry! We’re here just to have fun!” Pumpmon declared
“What fun, if I may ask?”
“It’s called Golden Week isn’t it? We heard about it from the kids that came to Digital World! It seemed to be a holiday for the people here, so we wanted to just chat and have fun! There should be some festival, right?” Gottsumon asked.
“I don’t think there is any festival…”
“Aw, bummer!”
“Well, that’s fine! We’ll just have some fun ourselves! Oh, and we heard that this Golden Week is extra long because a new king-guy is chosen! Well, uhhh… how it goes again?”
“Long live the king?”
“No, no, not that one! Errr, lemme see…” Pumpmon pulled out a piece of paper from inside his stitches. Seeing how that hand just goes in like that, the reporter’s eyes bulged somewhat. He quickly pulled it out. He and Gottsumon then faced the camera and smiled.
“Aha! Right! To His Imperial Majesty (Tennou-heika), we congratulate you for your ascension!”
"Thank you very much, you two. Here Andou reported from Miyashita Park. Back to you, Sakaki-san"
While the direct feed has been cut, the cameraman decided to still record whatever happened in the field, just in case. It's a great scoop, after all! Not everyday one can see these 'Digimons' in mass appearance like this. Now, who will be the first to appear?

Cameras. Crowds. Children.
Three things Viktor wasn’t a fan of and went out of his way to avoid, if possible. The world was introduced to Digimon en masses and crowds gathered to see the various monsters gathered. They learned they were friendly and went to greet the newcomers. Genesis was eating this up, attempting to show Viktor to any and all who wanted to see him. Much to his dismay. Eventually, it added up and the fox ducked out, hiding from the crowd as he watched it more carefully, children playing with younger Digimon and adults taking pictures of the stronger Digimon. Genesis walked over, waving him down;
”Come on, don’t be such a stickler. Go have some fun! I’m sure there’s plenty of kids who would love to pat your head.”
Viktor rolled his eyes and continued to watch; ”We were just traveling and we got caught up in this. This... it feels odd.”
Genesis pushed him and chuckled; ”Of course it feels weird. You’re in places where you used to be human but now you’re a fox!”
Viktor shook his head, ”No, I mean. There’s more to this than what’s being shown. With the Ascended, the various governments and such... something is up.”
Viktor leapt out of the tree and landed gracefully, flicking his tail as he watched Genesis clamber out and meet up with him. She leaned down to catch her breath, ”So... what’s our play, then?” she waved someone down to come see the fox, clearly distracting him someone could see him. She didn’t see any other Renamon yet, so he was unique, at least!
”Well... let’s keep a perimeter, look for anything suspicious.”
Genesis chuckled, ”Right, right... anything else?”
Viktor shook his head still looking around, ”Act natural, don’t draw attention and continue to watch.”
Genesis smiled; ”Act natural you say?” she gave a small wave to a camera crew and some kids, hoping someone would take the bait,
”Way ahead of you.”

The truth was that everything happening during the so-called 'Golden Week' was dubious at best to the female aspirant. Usually, she would have not bothered with any business on Earth as to assure peace through ignorance, just like the members of DATS desired and worked for. However, for obvious reasons, this option was no longer viable. Whoever it was that was responsible for bringing dozens, if not hundreds of weaker digimons to the physical dimension, she did not know them. This alone sufficed as a reason to distrust the entire operation, and it necessitated her interference.
After all, who else but a strong personality of ladylike grace such as herself was able to see behind the veil and recognize the potential folly in this scheme. Certainly she would approve of the two species' coexistence and mutual comprehension, but she also understand that most of humanity did not work this way. Men and women alike had a tendency to be sluggish, xenophobic and timorous. Those who were capable of bending data to their will typically were not, but their numbers were nothing compared to the vast mass that was mankind. A silly rave-up was unlikely to change this unfortunate status quo.
Still, to say that the Arnamon, an unassuming, small fennec, was not curious to be witness of this incident, would have been a lie. Given the untreated grounds, infinite possibilities and outcomes were conceivable, even if many of them were incredibly implausible. If the event ended on a positive note, then she would support this. If a foul plot was revealed, then the sweet-tempered sentinel was willing to assist agents like miss Tiger to restore order. Ultimately, it was verisimilar that at least some officials would arrive to interfere. Though only time could tell for sure.
Watching the report from a moderate distance, Cion was surprised to realize that neither the feminine reporter, nor her cameraman, showed signs of fear while in the presence of otherworldly entities. To be fair, the monstrous kids were mostly harmless and cute to a degree, but this realization remained astonishing regardless. Perhaps humans coped with alien concept better than presumed? It was difficult to find a definitive conclusion, and unfortunately the silver fox was way too inquisitive. Then again, friendly banter did not hurt anyone, now did it?
Striding past kin and children, she eventually came to pause a few steps away from both adults. Gracefully bowing to them as per proper mannerisms, she softly cleared her throat and pressed the palm of her paws together, each finger splayed. "Excuse me, madame and meyser? May I kindly have some of your time? I'd appreciate if I could ask you a question, or possibly two." She addressed them eloquently - a manner of speech that had become second nature to her.

Toki has...seen better days. While he still did his best to keep a positive attitude and smile for those around him, recent events have left him a little melancholy. He tried his best not to let that show, and what was currently happening gave him reason to smile. Finally, the veil was being lifted. Will this have consequences? Most likely. Certainly. However, to Toki, it was something that had to be done at some point. Denial doesn't make something suddenly not exist, so learning to coexist as soon as possible was the only logical course of action for him. It just had to be approached in the right way.
From what he was able to see so far, the public just seem...confused. Curious. This was good. The reactions weren't hostile. At least not yet. He intended to keep it that way. He casually approached the gathering Digimon and looked at those reporting on the situation "If any of you have questions about all of this..." he pulled out a device from his coat pocket "I can answer to the best of my abilities. I know a thing or two." he said with a warm smile. "If you need proof that I'm not just making this up then feel free to ask for it, alright? I want to help humans and Digimon understand each other a little more."
He sat down nearby, waving happily at the peaceful Digimon. "Enjoying yourselves? I hope so. Glad to see you guys keeping things civil, just be sure to ask about our customs instead of assuming based on hearsay!" He said. He wanted to be encouraging to the Digimon as well as help them understand what's going on "Hm...maybe cultural exchange could be a viable learning opportunity..."
Toki realized that his openness and kindly nature about the whole situation might be a bit strange, maybe even suspicious, but he had to put those thoughts aside. He felt he had a responsibility to aid in this endeavor after everything he's went through. When the other Digimon showed up to approach the situation, Toki's eyes widened a bit. That was someone he hadn't seen in a very long time..."Is that...Cion...? Well that's a pleasant surprise." he said to himself. He had nothing but positive experiences with the Digimon, so hopefully her presence only meant good things.

"Eh-HEH!"
Alan's single, loud breath of laughter was stifled by the widespread commotion. The tamer had asked for it, and here it was: digimon and human interaction, as far as the eye could see. "You feel comfortable taking off the holo-suit now?" he asked to the boy standing next to him. This boy appeared to be about eighteen, eyes a noticeable shade of red and dressed as if he were a surprisingly well-kempt street urchin. He scraped his foot lightly on the ground, pondering Alan's question. "Hmmm..." he mused, his voice rather high and childlike. "I've been conditioned so that it feels weird taking it off in the human world in public like this. I guess I just gotta force myself!" After a deep breath, he would count down from three so fast that he didn't have time to have second thoughts and remove his disguise, revealing the only true part of it was the grey ivy cap, fluttering gently down onto the head of the little blue Veemon below, to the alarm of the nearby adults who had, until then, had their attention absorbed by a completely different nearby digimon, and just then noticed that someone disappeared from their peripheral vision. Levi adjusted his hat on his head and smiled up at them, rather guiltily. "I didn't... scare you, did I?" The dragon still tended towards shyness, at least when surrounded by other unfamiliar figures towering over him.
"We should probably 'set up' somewhere other than in the middle of the street. How about over towards the playground?" "Uh-huh... wait!" "Something the matter?" Levi blushed almost imperceptibly. "C... carry me...?" "Of course!"
Drawing some (wanted) attention with a piggyback ride, the young man made his way over to a location that both he and his partner would agree on. While the children were certainly less intimidating, they definitely wanted to attract a good mix of attention from all ages, children, chaperones, salarymen, everyone. The last thing they wanted was to seem like they were trying to pied-piper away children and confuse the message they wanted to send to the public. And besides - it was the adults' reactions that interested him the most - those who had spent a much longer time in the dark, only now learning of digimon. There were those who were very eager, showing great interest, asking questions, even doing some playing or patting themselves, while others kept their distance, displayed mistrust, and others still tried their best to weave their way through the crowd, concerned more with the safety of their jobs, turning away from what they perceived as 'not their business.'
Naturally, both Alan and Levi knew that they shouldn't settle for a decent first impression. In all likelihood there would be some digimon intent on creating a negative public perception, and the unfortunate truth would be that such a goal would be far easier to achieve than their own. All they could do, for now, was remain wary. Through being wary, they noticed an influx of familiar faces. Even so, they wouldn't do much more than wave. From experience, chances were they'd have a reason to catch up with them sooner or later.

Change could be a scary word.
Take, for example, Amelie's usual evening walk. It was a well-worn routine; traversing Miyashita park on her way back home from university. The sights seldom changed, and she couldn't deny there was a certain degree of comfort in the routine.
All in all, the brunette couldn't really complain about her life. Hundreds of thousands of human beings sharing the same mindset were the basis from which the first sentence had been built; routine felt comfortable and safe. It felt steady, and fulfilling, to an extent.
Yet, sometimes, one doesn't really have a say on whether they really want to keep it or not. Sometimes, change just smashes us directly in the face and leaves us wondering on whether to accept it or just to cling to the hope that everything will be back to what it was.
For now, the young woman didn't really want to ponder on that, though. The atmosphere at Miyashita was no doubt different than usual; whether for better or worse, she didn't know, though.
What did this mean, exactly? The possible ramifications of digimons becoming public knowledge could very well become a topic that could be discussed for days to an end. Just as whether the change would be ultimately positive or negative.
The brunette recognized at least one or two friendly faces among the colorful panorama, yet didn't actively seek to engage into conversation with neither of them. For the time being, Amy didn't feel like taking an active role in what was happening. In her own opinion, everyone present was doing an amazing job at ensuring that this experience would be remembered as a joyful occasion. And that wasn't to say that too many cooks could spoil the broth badly.
However, that didn't mean she could take a more passive role regarding the event. It didn't mean she couldn't just sit on a nearby bench and bask on the mostly positive interactions that were being carried out between two very different species.
A more than fitting way to spend her evening, all things considered. Amelie didn't have any pressing concerns nor any place to be, and considering that from today onward, this might be Miyashita's new appearance, it was probably for the best to get used to it sooner rather than later.

Well, maybe a slightly less-than-usual evening walk.
With how busy Luke was with the Knights and Amelie's own dedication to the Council, chances like this for them to just chill out and have a nice walk were rare enough. But it just so happened that Luke was going to be back in town for a day or two of Golden Week, and a quick call to Ameleie was all it took to organize this friendly meeting, a sweetened mocha held in both of their hands as they shot the breeze and made their way across Amelie's usual path.
... A usual path that was now teeming with openly visible Digimon out and about around the sidewalk. Some reactions were expected - there was a crowd observing from a distance, and a few more curious onlookers approaching to try and interact with the smaller Digimon, as well as an about equal number of parents trying to stop their kids from rushing over to 'check out the cute little cat-fox thing!' Luke himself kept pace with Amelie, the D-Pet on his waist soon giving a flash.
The squirrel, Kinezumon, appeared and rushed right up to Luke's shoulder.
"... Alright," Luke chuckled, "But you really sure this is a good idea?"
"Not at all, but its freaking cramped in there and I just want to stretch my legs. 'Sides, you're hardly the only tamer around here."
True - there was someone else with a D-Tector who was trying to make peace with the crowd - honestly being a little awkward with it - and even Cion was trying to get the attention of the reporters. Luke found himself giving a small wave to Alan (not that he knew him, but with Iko on Luke's shoulder and Levi on Alan's back, they were at least two stuck in the same boat!), letting out a sigh and an exasperated smile.
"Probably silly for me to ask, but did you know any of this was gonna crop up here, Amy?"

Well, this is a surprise. There are so many people here and the camera crew are the ones that felt like celebrities instead, not the Digimons.
Andou Sagiri, 24 years old, interning as a reporter in channel 3... she was happened to be on site when things happened. Honestly, it's a big coincidence. Usually it's just the usual asking to the passerby near the park what they felt about this long golden week, the usual stupid interview, you know, kind that would appear later in late night news thing... At first, that's indeed what they're doing, asking passerby about their feeling of the long golden week, and suddenly... they saw her.
At first she thought they're just kids in costume before they led her and her cameraman Gotou Eita to Miyashita Park, where these Digimons have fun. When she was there, the situation already full blown like a pop up festival or something. Kids stopping to play with some Digimons, parents trying to stop them from getting too close but Digimons approached them in friendly manner anyway, curious onlookers, teenagers having selfies with Digimon... it was honestly wild...
Even then, even then! It was a prime material for promotion! Well, even if she's not going to get a promotion, this would be a great chance to get a raise!
She saw a person with fox-like companion, the human waving at the camera. At first she wanted to approach them to interview them or something, but... there are two other people coming to greet her! Oh dear! One is a Digimon... she looked kinda foxlike, and seem wanted to question something to them...
"Y-yes! That would be fine, and if you don't mind we also have questions for yo--"
And cut by someone else approaching them. this time human. Curious! Way too curious! Ah, how should she deal with this?
"Gotou-san, would you mind to focus on the Digimon? I'll get my recorder and ask the kind onii-san here about what he knows! It'll be a road of promotion for the two of us!"
"Ah, eh!? Andou-san!?"
Too late... well, that's way to deal with two of them I guess. "Ummm... so Miss Digimon, how can... I help you exactly?"
Meanwhile, the Pumpmon and Gottsumon who waved at by Toki just grinned. "We're most familiar with Shibuya! We're Shibuya Digimons you know!" Just at that time, Andou approached him with recorder and hand camera.
"Sounds like you know what's going on or at least familiar with the situation. May I have your name, sir?" once she got Toki's name, the reporter would continue with her questioning. "For a moment before it's seem that you showed some device, is that somehow a proof of identification? Or perhaps a way to come to this side of the world that our friendly monsters said before?"
...By the way, at this same time...
Pomf, Victor would probably find his tail hugged by small arms. Kids, about four or eight of them already surrounding him and Genesis, each spoke over one another, mostly mentioning how the fur is soft, or how they're 'beautiful' or something like that, all while some parents tried to pry them away from the two, apologizing like machinegun...
Still, among the crowds, there are some who just chilling with their own kind... seem to refuse to be close to humans... nervous? They are a swamp colored Agumon, a Syakomon, and a Muchomon...

Viktor continued to exam the crowd as he crossed his arms and look to Genesis, who was acting a tad suspicious;
”What did you do?”
Genesis only smiled as Viktor jumped a tad, his tail grabbed by many small arms that hugged into his bushy tail and ran hands along his fur, causing his to jump a tad and grunt in frustration, unable to do much else. He look over as tiny hands patted his head and roughly scratched his ears, much to his dismay. He glared at Genesis as she was laughing and answering as many questions as she could, talking about her partner as earnestly as she could.
”He’s a Renamon! A fox Digimon! Think a mix between a ninja and a fox!”
This would likely pique the interest of the children as hopefully the pet assaults would stop and Viktor would able to stand upright again and show his form a bit, not wanting to ‘show off’ but willing to if it meant stopping the kids from their actions.
Genesis chuckled as she stood over them, ”He’s a very pretty fox! Handsome fox! But he can be a bigger fox! Digimon can digivolve into stronger forms, but right now, they’re capped about half way but are still strong! He won’t digivolve now, because our foxy friend isn’t wanting to!”
She pointed at him and crossed her arms, then walked back to her partner; ”See? This isn’t so bad!
Viktor sat and spoke in a different language; ”<I’m not a dog.>”
Genesis rubbed his ear and patted him in a patronizing manner: ”Right now you are~”
Still, even with the kids’ pet assaults and the questions, even the TV camera, Viktor felt... something off. No way DATS wasn’t observing and no-way this was going as smoothly as it was. If Viktor knew one thing, it was that people grew panicky very fast when introduced to something like this. Like a lion running loose in a zoo... maybe he was wrong, maybe all was well.
But he couldn’t help but have this nagging feeling of unrest. Something felt wrong... but what? He’d figure it out in time, he was sure. That was assuming the tail hugs and head scratches would halt sooner rather than later.

As to be expected, there was a faint veil of uncertainty and minor trepidation pulling at the woman's spirit. But as almost always, Cion showed herself from her absolute best side, remaining composed and pleasant to have around. Delighted to gain a positive response, it was the sudden appearance of a familiar face that temporarily brought everything to a stop.
"Mr. Akiyama. What a pleasure." She gladly expressed her joy over meeting a cherished acquaintance after so much time. And dear goodness... it was restrained, but it was easy to sense the unleashed potential inside the spirit-wielder. Given their encounter in the desert, she was very impressed. Whatever the boy had endured to achieve his strength, it had payed out. Perhaps later, he would tell her personally. She'd like that.
For now however, the invitation for another interview lingered in the air as the lad left to sit down nearby. Nodding, the silver fennec's aureate eyes shifted back to the reporter and the assistant cameraman. And the former had relinquished the Arnamon's proposal to pursuit Toki. Oh well, at least she still had the man, who seemed rather unsure about the whole situation. Hopefully, he had a modicum of charisma and felicity.
"Just call me Cion, good sir." She introduced herself kindly. Naturally, she would have reached out a paw to shake his, but due to the fact that he was carrying heavy equipment, that opion was out of the window. Instead, she did a formal curtsy and nodded once again. "I meant to ask - you appear quite unperturbed. From hearsay, I was told by both humans and digimons that your kind was easily... agitated; when encountering foreign elements. Was this a false claim, or is there a specific reason why you and your partner, not to mention the lovely children, receive us so well?"

Toki smiled sweetly at the Digimon "Shibuya Digimon, hm? Sounds like this isn't the first time you've come around huh? Hope your time here's been fun! With any luck this is the first step of many to get our people coexisting properly." he said. His optimism held up despite his own worries and sadness. Though the weight of trying to help everyone and keep his own worries to himself was a heavy burden, one that was difficult to continue carrying.
He looked over at the reporter "My name is Toki Akiyama. And this?" he showed the device and its white and blue coloration "This is called a Digivice. There are many variations of it depending on the...well, I suppose the type of person using it. They're bound to whoever is chosen, for lack of a better word, and will only work for that chosen person. As far as I know, you don't need one to go to the Digital World. I sure didn't when I stumbled upon the place on accident. In any case, they give those who have them certain abilities in regards to Digimon. Some mean they have Digimon partners, others grant the wielder use of a Digimon's abilities. I know this sounds really insane, but it's all true."
It was difficult to explain all of this in a way that wouldn't seem overly intimidating to those who didn't know "I know a lot of people out there are scared and worried about what's going on, and I understand. Being afraid of the unknown is natural, but there's a potential here. We can coexist, as these Digimon are trying their hardest to prove. It won't be easy. It won't happen overnight...however, I know amazing things can happen if both sides put forth the effort. I'm not going to sugarcoat it though. It could be dangerous...it could lead to conflicts...but I don't want us all to pretend a whole other world doesn't exist just because it would supposedly be easier. Pretending doesn't mean it's not there. We have to adapt, just as they have to adapt. It's time to lift that veil and see each other eye to eye."
He worried his grandiose speech was too much, that it would just make others suspicious. However, the truth had to be set free, even the ugly parts of it. Connections cannot be made on lies and falsehoods. He waved happily at Cion before she was given an interview herself. He smiled over at the Renamon being crowded by children. They seemed disgruntled, but otherwise kept their cool.
Then, Toki saw Alan, surprised to see yet another familiar face here. He looked around and noticed that Amelie was here as well. He hadn't seen either of them in quite some time, but knew it wasn't the time to break away and chat. There were things to take care of.
As he looked around for his friends, he spotted the Digimon in the background and narrowed his eyes. What were they doing out of the way like that? He wasn't sure what to do. If he drew attention to himself and they did something hostile, would the public implicate him as being involved? For now, he decided he'd keep an occasional eye on them before turning back to the reporter "So yes, if you have any more questions I'd love to answer. If you want demonstrations of what I'm talking about, I'll do so. I'd just ask that you stand back in that case."

Though they tried to listen in on the other's speeches and conversations, due to the crowds, the partners mostly had to remain where they were, holding a sort of meet-and-greet, and answering questions like some sort of event staff, which, in all honesty, was pretty much what he was here. At least unofficially. He made a few offers to show off digivolution, even if Levi didn't have as many forms available as others present, he probably wouldn't have gone that high anyway. Champion at most, though Armor Champion was more convenient, and less alarming. While he was keeping an eye out, Alan's eyes landed on the three digimon that were keeping away from most of the others. Ah, I get that, he thought. It's perfectly alright to want to keep away from the crowds. Even so, with such a... volatile event, for lack of a better word, he just couldn't bring himself to think nothing of it, even if he wanted to make sure not to seem rude by looking at them the wrong way. He considered himself to be doing a rather good job of keeping watch on everything without looking like he was focusing too much on any direction in particular.

Oh, right! So deep into her reverie the girl had been, that the fact she wasn't alone had been lost to her for the briefest of instants. This was supposed to be a gathering of sorts with Luke, one of the friends she had made thanks to the Digital World. Funny how it seemed like they'd be involved in those affairs despite the fact that wasn't their goal for the day.
Maybe that had been the reason why Amelie didn't want to become too involved in the events transpiring around her? While definitely not something that should be ignored, being on the forefront and spotlight of something like this didn't strike her fancy. Not as much as sweetened mocha, anyway. The drink was very good!
"I guess that somebody doesn't like being caged." She mentioned a bit offhandedly, a smirk already forming on her features. Iko could really be a handful at times. Good thing that he was mostly behaving at the moment! He had a point regarding Luke's situation as a weirdly common sight at the moment, though.
Funny how things could make such a dramatic turn from one moment to the next. "Nah, that's not a silly question." The brunette answered, waving her right hand dismissively. "Doesn't mean I have no idea about what's up, though. One day, the whole digimon thing is a secret, and the next, everyone wants to cuddle with them. Crazy, isn't it? I'd almost say that in more than one way!"
At least right now, Amy seemed to be pretty relaxed. How would this incident finish? Considering that the government hadn't decided to intervene yet, all bets were off. "What should we do about this? At least outwardly, it seems like all the chosen over here are doing a pretty good job. Doubt any of them really need help."
And if they did, they were pretty good at hiding it!

"Eh, not in the long term anyway. At least the thing's handy for the crowds... much better than trying to pretend to be some stuffed toy." The one time they tried that, it didn't really go over all that well, evident enough by Luke's sarcastic roll of his eyes.
It seemed that Amelie was just as much in the dark as these two were! "I know, its weird - its like the script flipped overnight. And as far as I know," Luke brought his voice down a tone, "its not like Digimon really minded keeping it a secret on this side. Wonder what pushed it over the edge like this?"
"Eh, some vocal minority must have finally scrounged up enough support to just say 'screw it, let's just reveal ourselves while everyone's watching'. And for the rip-off-the-bandaid-approach... I gotta say, its going kinda well?"
Maybe! Just as Luke was about to answer Amelie, he felt his phone vibrate. One of Luke's classmates had just texted him, and - "Whoa, this same thing's going on in Hachiko Square." Luke blinked, and showed Amelie the image, of a Tentomon shooting the breeze with a Channel 8 reporter!
"That tears it, this is definitely an organized effort." Nothing else really explained it, at this point. "How about we stick around and just see what happens? Don't know if there's gonna be any foul play, but a 'wild one' might be attracted to so much data out in one spot. Kinda like a big lure?"
"Well, if DATS hasn't shown up yet..." Luke nodded. "We'll give it a bit, see if anything happens, and probably be on our way. Sound good?"

Poor Viktor, the kids are awwing and seem to take this as cue to fluff him more. The parents? They... are a bit skeptic, but less inclined to stop the kids... Perhaps these people thought that some Digimons are like pets, so to say, so that they're less... aware of the Digimons as a completely sentient beings. Perhaps they treated them more like P***mon?
The cameraman meanwhile is less inclined to treat the Digimons as pets. Instead, he looked quite ready to treat Digimons as sentient creature they are, as Cion's question was met with a... deep thinking. It took him a bit before he finally found his voice.
"It's... not a fake claim I don't think. Honestly, I didn't think I could keep my calm all this well... I was... I was honestly aiming to be a cameraman exactly because this sort of scoop you see. There are a lot of unexplained circumstances of what happened to our society... I mean, human society. Unexplained destruction, unexplained disappearances... when you handwave it, you won't see anything wrong, but if you're in journalistic field, you'll see that it's suspicious... and sort of eyebrow-rising at times. Admittedly, I and Andou-san was in same class and all that, and we shared that belief that there is something out there... So I guess it's like a Christmas came early for us.
As for the kids... well, kids doesn't care that much I guess. They thought you guys are friendly monsters from God-know-where, I think they're far more accepting than adults because of that."
Meanwhile, the female reporter herself obviously recording every single thing in her camera of what Toki have to say. "Digital World it is? That's interesting, so if one isn't a chosen they still can enter? If you would can you---"
"I would have to request you to not reveal that part of information so readily. We would also strongly request you to stop recording and to not air anything recorded at the moment, your cooperation will be greatly appreciated," a voice cut the interaction short.
A blond haired woman stepped inside the park, along her two Sistermon partners. Did someone jinxed that DATS will come? Well, here they are. The young lady flashed her badge and credentials. Seeing that, the reporter's face looked bitter for a moment, but she quickly turned off her cam recorder. She signaled to her partner to not record anymore.
"Agent Maria of Digital Accident Tactical Squad, otherwise known at DATS. We hereby request all who are present at the moment to not record anything and keep these meeting confidential."
She nodded as an acknowledgement to Toki, but said nothing else to him for the moment.
Pumpmon and Gottsumon immediately approached her. The Pumpmon is ready to give her his piece of mind. "Hey hey, Lady, are you telling us that the festival is over?"
"There shouldn't be any festival in the first place. Are you the leader of these group of Digimons?" Maria asked.
"Mmm, not really but I guess you can say so? We just preeeee~~tty much here because we want to have fun in human world, just hanging out with humans and play! It's fun!" Gottsumon quipped.
As much as it's a heartbreaking to sully the mood of the fun, public order is still of the agent's highest priority. "...You're not supposed to be here," Maria declared with heavy tone. The disappointment already clear on the Digimons' face. "...I have to request you to return to Digital World... well, sans you two. I'd like your cooperation for the meantime for further questioni---"
"KARA!!"
She wasn't sure what was the cause of her partner screaming, but she saw a glint of metal and gunshot sound. The knife ricocheted to the ground, barely missed her and the reporter. It was enough to cause panic as both humans and Digimons scrambled to various direction like confused ants. On the opposite direction, a Digimon stood, smiling sinisterly. Agent Maria did not waste time. She quickly inserted her Digisoul into the digivice, evolving both Blanc and Noir to their awakened, perfect form. Both Digimons stood ready to defend their partner.
"Well, well, good evening, ladies and gentlemen... Quite the calm evening, don't you think?"
There stood Matadrmon, knives brandished and ready. This one definitely the one that going to spoil all the fun and happiness of the night. Worst case scenario...
"TO ALL CIVILIAN, EVACUATE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY! THIS IS NOT TRAINING, PLEASE EVACUATE!"
Shit, shit, shit... Perfect stage of all thing? From the look of it this one is independent too... She quickly called to the base.
"This is Agent Maria, I'm engaging a Perfect-class threat in Shibuya Sector B, requesting further order. Blanc, Noir, move immediately to neutralize the ta--"
"Kekekekekee~~~ look at the humans scattering like ants! But is it wise I wonder to focus on me...?"
Matadrmon clacked his knives together. Immediately from the crowd, Dark Tyrannomon, Deltamon and Woodmon raises, throwing the crowd to more disarray. The Digimons aimed to chase humans and Digimons alike.
"BASTARD! Correction, target bringing three Adult-class Digimon as backup."
The chaos, the panic, the fear only made the Vampire Digimon laugh in pure glee. Maria was at her wits end.
"Class 1 Emergency, Engage the target in same level and accept any help that you can... However, reinforcement will take a while. Other agents have their hands full in their own sectors." the voice of her commander would say.
...Holy hell. Is this some sort of systematic level attack? Is this all planned somehow? The agent wanted to help the evacuation process, but the Matadrmon already began his attacks on her partners, forcing them to engage. A wide area attack would not be wise at the moment.
