As a matter of course, Cion granted the cameraman all the time he required to contemplate and formulate his response. Evidently, the question she had posed was quite difficult for it attempted to construe the very thought pattern of mankind. It was an enigma to her, and even the adult male found it challenging to unveil. Still, it was intriguing to finally listen to the human in the hope to receive a proper answer. And though it was far from perfect, the silver fennec gained a certain amount of satisfaction and peace of mind in it.
"Inquisitiveness overcoming pusillanimity... an admirable quality" She mostly spoke to herself, although her interviewee was more than welcome to take this genuine statement of approval as a bade of pride. Nodding softly and folding her arms, the graceful and apparently thoughtful fox shifted her gaze to the nearby digimons and children frolicking together. Both species were different in most conceivable ways, yet as kids they shared the same desire for harmony and joy. Without doubt, it was a sight that bestowed on her a spark of bliss. "I see..." She whispered, a dreamy expression gracing her face. A faint grin revealed itself on her muzzle.
Unfortunately, almost as an antithesis to previous elation, a member of DATS unknown to her set foot on the seen. The blond female was quick to demand continued secrecy - a sentiment the Arnamon considered silly. It seemed too late anyway, and everything occurred peacefully. It truly appeared as if the mutual caution was no longer necessary. Wasn't this encounter of worlds the evidence that coexistence was possible; perhaps desirable? Better now than after the secret being uncovered to the public out of necessity, right? Besides, wasn't an eventual convergence inevitable in any event?
Potential understanding was thwarted by the sounds of gunshots tearing through the air, likely causing a ruckus. With the agent's partners unleashing their Perfect form, Cion's eyes widened as she leapt in front of her newest companion. It was obvious that she was absolutely willing to protect the gentleman who had been so courteous to her from any harm. "Duck!" She firmly 'suggested' her enjoyable acquaintance to find cover. Given that Matadrmon's grand entrance and his words, she already knew that things were destined to become nasty.
She needed to prevent the humans, young and adolescent, from getting harmed. This was the opportunity to establish a cornerstone of collaboration, and not worthless fiend would impede this most noble aspiration... or multiple. "Botheration..." The Rookie hissed as three Champion manifested themselves to cause a hazardous fidget. No, this was not acceptable, but she understood the rules imposed by DATS.
"Requesting permission to digivolve to a state of your choosing, lady Maria. Madame Tiger could vouch for my professionalism if you require proof of reliability." Cion exclaimed, confident that a mission debriefing had happened to keep every officer aware of the current incidents.

Iko always managed to say something interesting, no matter the situation. Wasn't there a method of hiding he hadn't tried yet, though? It seemed like he had omitted it rather easily. "What about a holosuit? You get the freedom of a human and don't have to keep appearances. Most of the time, anyway; we all know that there are some things that some folks would never accept."
Like spitting a fireball, for example. Anyway, it wasn't like that mattered at the moment, considering all the digimons that were currently parading as if there wasn't a masquerade to hold. Intriguing, to say the least, yet also... somewhat unsettling. What could Amelie say? This sight felt... weird, for the lack of a better word. And it was happening on various points of Japan at the same time, to boot. The fact that this was an organized effort was more than obvious by now.
"It's definitely having a better reception than what I excepted." She muttered, a tinge of amazement clear on her voice. "What do you think about this situation? I'm unsure on whether digimons and humans can coexist in peace, especially given that the former have the ability to act as living weapo-"
DATS was quick to arrive, the so-called 'Agent Maria' quickly commanding for the crowd and the digimon to disperse. "Welp. That was fast. Wonder if this event will have any repercussions now that the party's over. What do you think?"
Now that the police was here, it would probably be on Luke's best interests to store Iko back on his V-Pet. Or... would it? Considering how the sound of gunfire alerted everyone on short notice, maybe the party wasn't quite over yet. It seemed like a group wasn't quite satisfied with things ending right now. And wouldn't settle for less than some deaths happening, given the intent on Matadormon's attacks.
"I guess that I spoke too soon." Without losing time, the brunette stood up. It was a pity that wasn't quite done with her sweetened mocha, but the girl would have time to grieve for that later. "It seems like a fair amount of digimons have risen to deal with the bad guys already. I'll make sure that all the humans evacuate before helping with the cleanup. What're you gonna do?"
Now that the true monsters had decided to show up, it was normal to except that at least a fair bit of humans would be panicking, or at least too scared to do the logical thing and run away. Doubly true when considering the number of kids currently present in the park. Not as fun as fighting, but... probably equally as important.
For all what she cared, the brunette didn't care about DATS, the Golden Week, or the people interested in the digimons that supposedly were here in peace. As long as nobody not willingly engaging into the fight resulted injured, she'd count it as a win. And for that reason, it was time to move and begin getting the non-chosen (or anyone who looked too afraid to get out of harm's way, really) out of the way.

Alan sent a tired glare in Maria's direction, knowing exactly what she was asking the news team to do. Regardless, he turned back and continued tending to the crowds of curious onlookers just the same. If she had a problem with it, she'd no doubt take it up with Levi and him soon enough.
"Now, naturally," he continued, "digimon aren't all going to be this friendly. But I urge you to all to remember that just as with humans, no one side defines digimon altogether. Levi here and I consider it part of our jobs to protect anyone who can't protect themselves when it comes to the most mean-spirited digimon. Eh?" The partners raised their eyebrows (or areas where eyebrows would be) and looked around at the sounds that rang out through the crowd. "Gunshots? Aren't those all but banned in Japan? I swear, if some Commandramon is trying to show off..." That would have been nice, but it became very clear that the troublemakers in question were a lot larger.
"Troublemakers," scowled Levi.
"That's our first case in point," said Alan, determined to display an air of confidence as he talked to the crowds. "...Now it's time to make our second!" Keeping the civilians from getting too panicked would take some serious showmanship.
"Alright, everyone. Please stand as far back as possible as we show you what we mean when we say we'll keep you from harm, and minimize property damage while doing it! This having been said, you are free to leave the area at any time should you feel uncomfortable remaining. Those who stay... are in for a bit of a spectacle. Levi, digivolve to ExVeemon!"
"Way ahead of you," said the small dragon, despite only just then beginning to digivolve. He was enveloped by a light, growing into what was essentially a larger, more muscled, and more humanoid version of his earlier form. Not wanting to waste any time, the two split off for a small interval: Levi to go deal with one of the champions, and Alan to go consult Agent Maria. While Alan and DATS had different viewpoints, he had seen with his own eyes that their agents knew how to handle these situations far more effectively than most amateur tamers. "Agent! My partner can go no higher than champion form, and is currently moving to help deal with the champion-level assailants. I assure you that our priority is minimization, and preferably prevention, of collateral damage to both civilians and property. Do you need any assistance on your end?"
Meanwhile, ExVeemon decided he would first approach the DarkTyrannomon. He didn't want to be the first one to make any direct attacks, so he went with the first action that came to mind. He reached out towards the champion, pretending to be ignorant to any context, or the general mood at the moment. "Hey!" he grinned, "What's a handsome reptile like yourself doing in these parts?"
Alan was surprised by this, and almost immediately felt silly for being surprised, supposing it was a technique worth a try. "Archon's a bad influence on that one... eh heh."

Toki waved politely to Maria as she arrived. He figured DATS would be here soon enough and while he didn't agree with this course of action, he respected that Maria was just doing her job. Still...it seemed strange to keep this going now that so many people have probably taken pictures and videos of this already. This was likely to keep things from spiraling out of control, but the questions will come sooner or later. How would they handle that, he wondered?
Then he heard Alan and Levi nearby and smiled at their words. Their attitude towards this was exactly what was needed. The actions of some Digimon should not stain the reputation of all Digimon. The same went for humans. Cion's talks with the reporter seem to be going rather well too.
However, disaster soon struck as the crowd panicked and spread out from a sound that seemed similar to a gunshot. The cackling from Matadormon sounded like nails on a chalkboard...and Toki had absolutely zero tolerance for it. He looked around and saw the other Digimon trying to cause havoc. He grit his teeth and tried to keep himself composed. No...now wasn't the time for composure. Alan's got that in spades. Markings appeared around Toki's eyes and his eyes themselves were a bright white with blue sclera. His rage was boiling over. He shambled over to Matadormon "In the span of one week I've been kidnapped...tortured...and had to watch two of my dearest friends die. And now here you are, ruining what could have been the one chance...the one chance...at our two kinds could have come together in an environment free of tension. You know what? I have had enough!" He shouted as he brought out his Digivice and swiped data across it. No fanfare, no call outs. He just spirit evolved into his Beast Spirit, Lagosmon. He loomed towards Matadormon, then looked around at the other Digimon. "Sand Shackles!" Suddenly sand materialized underneath Matadormon as it leaped and attempted to wrap around his arms and body to restrain him.
He took a deep breath and tried to keep his rage under control "My name is Toki Akiyama." He said. He hated that he was using his name as a power move, but Digimon...Digimon may know that name. One of the humans that assisted in rescuing the Digimon of the forest. One of those responsible for taking down Megidramon. The one who communed with Ebonwumon. The inheritor of the ancient spirit Tsusagimon's will. "What...what do you hope to gain from this?" he asked, a sad look in his eyes. "I won't pretend I know what you've all went through...or why you felt the need to terrorize the human world...but do you know what you have to gain here? Nothing. Nothing but the animosity of innocent humans. Not just humans...but Digimon as well. The Digimon who have befriended and lived with humans...do you want that? To be hated? Feared? Let me teach you something. Using power to inflict fear...will not gain you proper recognition. It won't solve your problems. You're using your power stupidly and arrogantly and down the line you're not going to like where these actions take you. Please...stand down. Stand down. I'll do everything in my power to help you find a place...I'll listen to your worries...I'll help you coexist...just please...don't fight anymore."
While those words were towards the champion levels, he gazed at Matadormon with pure malice "As for you...oh, I don't think there's convincing you with that giddy, maniacal laughter of yours. You revel in this. You want violence. You want war. You want people to fear you. Well, you're a fool. Possibly the biggest fool I've ever met. So...if you want to hurt anyone here. Destroy anything...anything at all...you're going to have to go. Through. Me."

Toki used Sand Shackles in hopes of restraining Matadormon
Sand Shackles: Conjures streams of sand to latch onto foes in an area and weigh them down, substantially hindering their movement for 2 turns. (3 turn cooldown.)

A holosuit? Iko chuckled at the thought! "No need: except from a very specific angle, the only interesting thing about me is that I'm a white squirrel. I think I've seen almost every inch of Luke's campus just like this."
"Well, until DATS tightened everything up, that's pretty much the case..." Still, this was quite the sight to see! Iko definitely got a few looks from passers-by, but he didn't look like much of one to socialize. As for what Luke thought of the situation... well, that would have to wait, just a moment, as Maria directed the crowd.
"Ugh, short party." Iko rolled his eyes, slipping back to hide a bit in Luke's shadow
"Eh, they're just doing what they have to." Luke readied the D-Pet, he got a chance to get to Amy's question. "Ideally, I can see it either way. I'm not entirely sure of the majority of Digimon want what's going on here, either. It's like someone here's trying to shake up the table intentionally. Question is if its against DATS or the Digital World..."
Welp, that mental exercise disappeared pretty quick. The appearance of a Matadormon and his cohorts quickly changed the situation at hand - and Amelie was quick to respond!
"Luke, should we go after the DarkTyrannomon? Biggest threat here?"
"No... no, we'll cover Amy. If she's directing a retreat she'll have her attention split, and she'll just have a target on her back by herself."
Sound reasoning: Iko gave a nod, and bounded onto Amelie's shoulder, as Luke clutched his Digivice in his right hand. Push came to shove, well, at least Iko's ultimate looked remotely like a superhero?

Chaos
From the moment Viktor got wrapped up in this, he was jostled left and right. Children petting him excessively, calling him pretty and constantly fluffing his tail like a pillow. It was only when DATS came and shut everything down did he get a break from the predators and their tiny demon hands. Genesis was, however, unhappy that the 'Boyscouts' came to ruin her fun. Viktor was for once happy to see them. Genesis snickered as Viktor straightened himself out;
"Well... you called it. DATS here to be a stick in the mud."
Viktor didn't respond, but rather seemed fixated on something that wasn't there. Genesis winced in the direction then waved in front of her fox partner;
"Heeelllooo, Earth to Viktor. Come in, fox-boy."
Viktor swatted away her hand and began pointing, not saying a word as an Ultimate level Digimon raised from the crowd and began speaking.
Disorder.
It went from bad to worse. The Digimon began throwing knives into the crowd, scattering them as it laughed mocked them. The duo looked at eachother and vanished as the crowd aimlessly fled. It was always the perfect opportunity to slip away, when there was chaos. Everyone is so focused on the monster with the knives they forget about a fox and a human, at least for now. But this wasn't to retreat. It was to get a bird's eye view.
Viktor moved to the highest point he could whilst Genesis was safe and sound away from the danger. He counted three Champions and one Ultimate, the ones he deemed 'Targets of interest'. It was too confusing to know who was who on the ground... he needed to assess and understand properly before making a move. He examined one party beginning crowd control, directing people to safety. The good guys. Then, one member took a higher form and face the Deltamon reading his lips, it suggested that he was... flirting with his foe? If it worked it worked, he supposed. Another began taking a more defensive posture, seemingly guarding the one directing the crowd. Smart.
Last was one who shot chains and started to restrain the leader Digimon. The one who started this to begin with. But he began... talking. Viktor could hear some of what he was saying and he wondered why? If he had her, an attack was all that was needed to end this. Perhaps he was trying to appeal to the humanity of this Digimon? Maybe it was a sense of justice? Viktor couldn't tell, but once he was certain who his target was, he would move to engage. But for now, he would observe and wait. Unless he himself was engaged, that is!

The situation slightly gone under better control with Amelie and Luke doing the backup guiding evacuation process. One thing that they might notice is that the Digimons... never actually attacked. Even if they does use their attack, they just attacking at empty spaces.
Meanwhile, as for Agent Maria... she's currently still locked in combat with Matadrmon. Knives parried by spears, gunshots aimed at the legs dodged nimbly. The fatal dance is ongoing, even then, the human decided to accept all helps given while directing the panicking crowd to the nearest exit and opening gate to Digimon to escape to.
"This is portal that will lead you to Network Plains of Digital World! If you want nothing to do with this event, please get inside the portal!"
She would quickly address both Cion and Alan.
"...I authorize any evolution at the moment as long as any damage to the surrounding is kept to minimum. Please prioritize the safety of the civilian before engaging," she declared. "Thank you, please do help."
In midst of this chaos, there are some events that are happening. One, the reporter and the cameraman. She did indeed evacuated, but the two of them took this chance to make the camera rolling... but at what? At first it was at the attacking Digimon, but the next second, they aimed their camera at a Guilmon who's trying to help a woman and her child.
"Ma'am, hold my pa--"
But his help was instead slapped away.
"Don't come near me or my child you monster!"
The mother and child left the park, albeit the mother had to shed her high heeled shoes, leaving the Guilmon shocked. He truly just wanted to help... And it's not just him. Several Digimons tried to minimize the damage done to their reputation, but is severely rejected too, with the reaction varied between confusion to outright fear. These Digimons can't evolve yet so they had to run away. In midst of it all is Pumpmon and Gottsumon, looking so disheartened that both of them started to cry.
Levi's little trick to call out the Dark Tyranomon was not in vain however, considering the Digimon slowed down to complete halt...
"...Uh?" at first he looked confused, but then when the flirting came... yep, he blushed. Blushed real red that it almost like it's back to being Tyranomon again. It... it quickly scratched its cheek. "Uh... I... I dunno! What is a dashing blue dragon like yourself is doing out here?"
....Something is wrong with these guys.
...The one that brings the chaosbringers to complete still is Toki suddenly evolving. The three of them stopped dead in their track, at first squinting, at the appearance of the Spirit User's spirit form, but then...
"O-Oi, that guy... he's not kidding, isn't he?" the Deltamon asked.
"No, that's totally not. I saw him once... That's the real deal."
Celebrity status does help. and it was enough to have most of the human evacuates, leaving the park empty bars those who are really staying because they have business down. Toki's attack at the Matadrmon was successful.... or is it really?
Matadrmon cackled... then cackled and cackled.
"See how it looked?" he called out to the Digimon crowds. "Human hates you, a bit of a mishap like this and they all would blame you even if you're not the one doing it? What are you doing trying to go buddy buddy with creatures that will not even accept who you are?" he then looked at Toki "Goody-two-shoes human playing the nice guy yet again, kekekeke~! Always trying to meddle, that what you 'chosen humans' are! Your existence are eyesore... you're nothing but selfish bunch who pretended to be on side of justice, but actually just trying to exert your own selfishness upon u--"
"Enough from your mouth, scum!"
Noir shot her guns at the Matadrmon's chest. But the moment when it hit, suddenly he turned into bunch of bats, reappearing elsewhere, atop a lamppost.
"Kekeke~ Feisty... Oh my oh my... And looks like three spineless ones are not one to be depended on. Always the pacifist... Well... Shall we begin phase 2?"
From the darkness appeared another Digimon, a Lady Devimon and Neo Devimon. Atop where Viktor is, something cold and metallic is pressed behind his head.
"Ohto~ I wonder if looking back at this time would be a good idea, Renamon?"
An Astamon floats behind him.
Following Toki's reaction, Noir used Cross Fire: Raises her guns, then fires two holy shots at the enemy. Can fire both at one target, or one each at two targets. The bullets ignore defenses and barriers. [Cooldown: 2 posts].
In counter, Matadrmon used Free from the Shackles: In case this Digimon is shackled by any moves that affects its speed, the next time it attacked, this move can be autotriggered and let it dodge incoming attack once. If it's autotriggered, this Digimon will be free from its shackling negative status effect. Three turns cooldown.

The cacophony of uncountable voices and blurry faces caught in a maelstrom of chaos within the park was an event seldom behold by the ancient sentinel. Naturally, she understood that the peace of many was easily quashed by the malice of a single fiend, but this was something else. Men and women alike had no inherent means of properly defending themselves to proof their potential to both allies and enemies. Most of them were but human children and parents frolicking along with equally as inexperienced digimons. Innocent and weak - and above all worth protecting. The subtlety of warfare and strategy was missing in this vile undertaking. The sole purpose of this decadent act of terror was to facilitate decadence. The one apparently responsible for this malediction gladly revealed this to them and took proud in his desire to create discord among species. "My goodness... that's so... uninspired." Cion commented snidely in between statements of inane nonsense pertaining to the not yer realized coexistence. It was with anticlimax, perhaps even boredom, that the silver fennec gazed at the imbecilic Matadrmon. More than 99,9% of the innumerable adversaries she had vanquished throughout eons had been xenophobes like flamboyant martial artist. Repeated words had become dull and meaningless, for they were always proven wrong. On the inside, the Arnamon had to chuckle with vexation. Did she now have to give Daemon credit for being aspiring in its impetus? Today was a truly bizarre day - unpleasantly so. Acknowledging the permission by the agent of DATS, a white light engulfed the vulpine aspirant as she hasted through the storm of havoc that steadily simmered down. Good, for every bystander who was not injured the reputation of the digital realm was less strained. Although there were lots of familiar people she considered cherished comrades, it was Toki's exasperation that claimed her utmost attention. It appeared a friend required the emotional and physical assistance of someone they hopefully trusted, hence she was happy to oblige. "Me as well!" Cion exclaimed as her transformation completed. Coming to a halt next to the Lagosmon, the CyberSagitamon softly leaned herself against his side as to grant the boy support and reassurance he clearly needed. Thankfully, her Ultimate form was likely recognized by the brown hare, for it was in this state that she and Vertigo had saved him from the desert's harshness several years ago. What an unforgettable yet pleasant incident this had indeed been. Drawing her futuristic bow, it was evident from her nearly overboiling aura that she was severely restrained by the devices of mankind. If unchained, this clash would have ended in mere seconds. However, the same presence of might she felt radiating from Toki, too. His progress was outstanding! Unfortunately, he was currently unable to tap into his apex, which was a true shame. The cybernetic archer would have savored witnessing it. "Violence is an innermost aspect of digimons, Mr. Akiyama. Numerous succumb to and revel in it. They can't be reasoned with, so you must not allow them to wield your frustration against you. Instead seize your wrath and channel it, so it is yours to master, not vice versa. Never grant your opponents quarter, or they will capitalize on your hesitation. ... And if you wish to realize your dream of peace, you must pursue it relentlessly. Never back off, or you'll lose sight of it - possibly forever."It was with these lessons learned from experience and anguish that the vanguard narrowed her aureate eyes. With a crack of her neck, a maelstrom of surging data abruptly and violently manifested itself around the Matadrmon in an attempt to snare it for precious seconds they had to capitalize on. She did so with arrows of pure energy. With some luck, the Astamon was slowed by the veil of white corruption that surrounded the singularity of binary code. Toki looked around and saw all of the digimon and humans fleeing. Some Digimon wanted desperately to aid the humans in evacuating, but seeing the humans so scared and pushing them away like that...it was heartbreaking. He wanted to cry. Everything looked to be ruined and there was no coming back from this...! He pressed a hand to his chest, trying his best to keep himself composed. But...that Guilmon's selfless actions despite the chaos and the fear. It inspired him. Everyone's actions here. So many trying their best to make the situation better.
At this point, even people in the human world would know him. That he could become what is so feared right now. Oddly enough, he smiled at this. That was his quest. His challenge. To help show people that Digimon weren't as terrible as they thought. Besides, the three champion levels were completely deterred from the battle. It didn't even look like they wanted to be involved in the slightest.
The area looked to be entirely evacuated save for those looking to put a stop to this. Then, a familiar Digimon approached him and leaned by him to offer support "It...really is you, Cion. Heh...it's really been a long time, hasn't it?" he smiled softly at her presence and stood tall "Though, there's something about what you said...you could say that violence is an innermost instinct among humans as well. We've fought wars...people enjoy watching boxers and martial artists fight...humans are violent beings too. But that doesn't mean violence is all we are. And that Guilmon proved that Digimon are more than just violent as well. They cared about the safety of the humans and was visibly hurt by the rejection...and those champion levels stopped in their tracks after my words. While I may want peace, I will achieve it in a way that makes people the most comfortable. I will not force my ideals on others, but I will still fight for them if people I care about are threatened. However...I definitely agree with you on one thing."
Toki cracked his neck and knuckles, rage still present in his mind, but now more focused thanks to Cion's intervention "My wrath is just." Before he continued the battle he called out to the Digimon still here "Everyone!! Never give up on hope. Never give up on peace. It will be hard. It may seem impossible and you'll despair sometimes but that's okay. We need to work together and face this obstacle together...I, and many others will help mend the broken ties between human and Digimon. This isn't hopeless, regardless of what this pompous blowhard says." He said, gesturing to Matadormon.
"I haven't forgotten about you, Matadormon. I'm still going to beat you to the ground without mercy for what you've done. Yes, I'm a goody-two-shoes human, but I'm not playing at anything. Selfishness? Maybe. Maybe. But sometimes we have to be a little bit selfish to make progress happen, hm? You underestimate humans and your fellow Digimon. People like you...you're weak. Anyone who decides that spreading violence and chaos is preferable to happiness and togetherness...are the weakest of us all."
He looked around as more Digimon, all of them Ultimate level, arrived. "Something tells me you're not going to be so easily swayed." He said. He saw Astamon being the most immediate threat and slammed their palms against the ground "Stalagmite Fortress!" he shouted as the ground rumbled beneath Astamon, a series of earthen spikes erupting from the ground, not just to skewer the Astamon, but to push whatever they were aiming at the Renamon away and give them some breathing room.
-----
Toki's rage becomes a little more focused and channeled thanks to events happening around him as well as Cion's support. He uses Stalagmite Fortress near Astamon to disrupt their threatening stance against Viktor.
Stalagmite Fortress: Upon placing their palms on the ground, an area of their choosing erupts in a barrage of earthen spikes. Enemies caught will be damaged and suffer bleed damage for 2 turns (2 turn cooldown.)
Stalagmite Fortess 0/2

Well, it was a good thing that the evacuation had been mostly successful! The reporter, the cameraman, the Gotsumon and the Pumpkinmon were still among the 'noncombatants' currently in the area, but that was on their own volition, Amelie reckoned. She wouldn't be responsible of anything that happened to them. "Good job, guys. It seems like if something happens, it'll be to people who decided to remain here or just material damage. Not much we can do about that, I guess." By now, Iko was probably itching to kick the bad guys' behinds. While, at least in the girl's eyes, making sure that there was the smallest amount of collateral damage was the priority, it didn't mean that could it was probably not as heroic, nor 'interesting', nor deserving of the spotlight as battling the ones who were disturbing the public order head-on. But that was fine. The brunette didn't want the spotlight; Cion and Toki could have it, for all what she cared. "Who are you picking, by the way? I think I'll take on the Edward Cullen wannabe. Good luck on whoever you pick! I'll see if I can get the camera off me for a bit before engaging. See ya!" Yeah, laugh at her, but she still didn't want to be caught on the footage while evolving. Getting over being self-consciousness about it was hard! And nevermind the fact that she preferred to keep away from the bureaucracy linked to the whole DATS stuff, despite that being mostly wishful thinking at the moment. A tree would be enough to block the camera? Or a light post, maybe? Even a bench would be enough in a situation like that. Oh well, it wasn't like she was going to be picky! Once a decent hideout was (or not) found, a rather complex ring of fractal code formed around her left hand. The rest was history. Except for the fact that there was nothing to be found on the spot where the evolution had taken place. Had the brunette disappeared? One could say, in all honesty! If they were sharp enough, NeoDevimon would notice a looming presence above them for a split second; that's the only warning they would get before Heraldmon attempted to pin him down; it was obvious that the lither vampire would surely win in a contest of raw agility and speed, but how would he fare in a close quarters fight against the hulking abomination? Time to find the answer!
Turn Recap! —Amelie evolves to Heraldmon. —Heraldmon uses Ancientpower, copying From Beyond. —And closes the gap between itself and NeoDevimon, attempting to pin them down (Basic attack). —Card uses left: 6. — NS-31Card Name: Ancientpower Type: Modify Rank: Platinum Duration: 3 Posts Effect: The target Digimon is able to access one of previous form's attacks/abilities of their choice. This move is treated as if used by your Digimon's current level, not the previous one, for purposes of power. *From Beyond: Teleports to the location of the user's choice, given the user has been in person on that place before. Cooldown: 2 posts. —Stolen Memento becomes replaced by Slip Through Time. *Stolen Memento [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Slip Through Time [Passive Ability]: Bending the laws of time, this digimon can attack twice per post every two posts.
—Willful Desire becomes replaced by Assimilate. *Willful Desire [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Assimilate [Passive Ability]: This digimon gains perfect understanding of the effects of any attack that she would be subject of. She can use this knowledge to fuel some of her other abilities (notably, Surreal Memoir). Yes, the evacuation process went smoothly.
Too smoothly, as a matter of fact. As Amelie was focusing largely on the evacuation and Iko found himself scolding a few into accepting the Digimons' help, Luke couldn't help but notice that there was a surprising lack of direct attacks. Fireballs exploded in open spaces, and general scary noises and poses were made, but otherwise?
What are they trying to accomplish?
Regardless, it didn't take long for Amelie and Luke to clear the area out of those that wanted to vacate. Iko would retreat back to Luke's shoulder, and Luke would share a small high-five with the spirit wielder.
"We'll take the femme fatale, here."
"Need to match flying with flying... but good luck! Don't forget that we're within shouting distance!"
With that, Luke and Iko would make their way back to the main square, peeling around the outskirts as the squirrel set his sights on the LadyDevimon. Clutching his Digivice in his hand, Luke would let that light shine right over the squirrel, as the ultimate level Shaininmon, gold armor and all, appeared in its basking glow. A set of shadowy wings sprung from its back as it kicked a foot into the air, aiming its helmet square with the LadyDevimon - aiming low and at a nice, high sharp angle that would miss the buildings behind her.
"Lunar Ray!" His voice bolted out, a white ray of light shooting forth, dead-center on the LadyDevimon's body. He had his mark!
Lunar Ray: A slit opens in Iko's helmet, revealing the half-moon, energy briefly charging before being sent out as a white ray of energy. Simple, effective ranged attack.

The cold steel of the barrel from Astamon's gun was a grim reminder of the misstep he made. At least somewhat. Did he walk into their nest? Did they sneak behind him? Perhaps even shadow step? Regardless, this worked out because now the threat was over here and not in the crowd. He turned slowly, not to move the barrel away from his head, but so he could speak a little more clearly; "What's your endgame here? To have the humans violently murder us all?"He'd keep his head turned as he'd watched the events unfold on the "field", then, as the parts of the Earth erupted toward him, the fox waited for the perfect moment and leaped backwards off the building, shattering the first window as his world coming to a crawl with glass raining around him. No doubt the Astamon would fire, sending plooms of fire to cut through the glass around him, those rounds singing past him. The sound so familiar it was actually relaxing, so much so he closed his eyes as he plummeted to the Earth... his mind falling back to Genesis, to his friends, to Shade. How would he react to his death? SadnessA light began to envelope Viktor as he grew ever closer to the concrete below, bright enough to blind anyone looking until what landed on the ground wasn't a Renamon but something else entirely. The warrior formed fox slowly rose, holding his weapon out enough to engage any threat that thought him an easy target. He looked up at the Astamon and pointed his naginata, spinning it and leaping into and running up the building after the Lady Devimon first. His intent clear; the fox leapt over the edge of the structure to deliver a powerful blow to the femme fatale, but also keeping that naginata ready in the event of a defense counter measure. Should he connect to that blow, she would find it more than a simple punch! His first step to this was taking out the backup as quickly as he could and without expending too much energy. That way he could fight his equal fresh. But, like everything else, that was easier said than done.

Even with the addition of three Ultimate-level digimon to the affair, it seemed that luckily, there were still enough of the other higher-level combatants to deal with them while Levi focused on his own... methods. The big dragon man knew that Alan wasn't going to contact him on the digimon-human communicator in the interest of not making things more complicated in his conversation, so now that he had the DarkTyrannomon's attention, the best he could do was try to keep a chat going, get some information, or, in the best-case scenario, get them on his side. He placed one hand behind his head and crossed his legs while standing, grinning and keeping one eye closed. "No real reason~ seemed like a fun distraction, you know? A chance to meet people, perhaps. So I suppose you're not quite sure why you're here either, then." He tilted his head towards the cackling Matadormon with a raised eyebrow, as if the apparent episodic villain was a mildly annoying afterthought. "And what's his problem, huh? I don't mean to pry, but do you know him?"
Meanwhile, Alan was taking it upon himself to handle human relations in the area while Levi was busy with non-combat endeavors. Of course, the incident with the Guilmon caught his attention, and since he wasn't with Levi at the moment, he figured he'd be more trusted by the humans at the moment than he would have otherwise. "Excuse me, miss!" the young man ran over. "I understand your concern for the safety of your child and yourself, but the Guilmon here intended only to offer their assistance. Most of the digimon here are as afraid as you are. You don't have to take this from me. When you find the chance, ask them. Is everyone over here alright? You, too, Guilmon!"
Turning around, Alan would notice the cameras on the scene, somewhat delighted that he happened to be in front of them, giving a smile and a wave before moving on to tending other groups of bystanders, human and digimon alike.

"I don't need to be uninspired to be effective," Matadormon commented with sneer to Cion. "To begin with, those who stuck to the basic are the one who will likely effectively show the mass how brutal something is, don't you think? And what do you know about peace, fox?"
At first, it looked like Matadormon was swallowed in the vortex, but... he suddenly vanished from spot, and instead re-emerged from underneath Cion's shadow. "How about I return that, the snare that you oh-so-much love?"
Aiming for her shadow, he tossed his knives at it. Should it hit, her movement would be locked.
Endgame? Astamon simply chuckled. "Well that is easy, mate... A war, or maybe, a complete extradition of human from Digital World? The latter is fine, the former is more preferable..."
Toki's timely intervention however was enough to make Astamon unable to fire his Oro Salmon for the moment as he focused on dodging. Thing is however, because how high it is, Toki's move was unable to hit him on time as he spreads its wing. Still, the Digimon is not done.
"You see, why does every single time Digimon must provide for humans? Humans are called to Digital World, sure, but what for? What evil that must be fought? What stagnation that must be broken? At this point they're just like invaders, meddling with Digimon's affair... and when the price is right, or when their 'sense of justice' fancied it, they 'helped' Digimon that's too weak to fend for themselves... Aren't Digimons are meant to be combat species? The weak will be culled, the strong thrives!"
It immediately shoot at Cion now that its target has moved to fight Lady Devimon. Blast of Oro Salmon was unhindered by the effect of the slow put on it. However, it's still a prime target of attack.
Strange that Amelie wanted to spirit evolve when no one is looking, but for those who had no idea what she's doing, she might looks like she's fleeing. Thankfully this means nobody was looking for her at all, because the journalistic team are busy with filming the rest of the Digimons. However, Neo Devimon wasn't so lucky. He did sensed Amelie's presence, but was too quick for it to react. Trying to pin it down was a right move, considering how it hits the ground with a thud. It does look hurt, as the Digimon hissed. Thing is, close proximity like this make it easier for it to counter!
Without cue, dark energy exploded from it, aiming to take Amelie's new form off it. The damage would be brutal if she hangs on.
"Oya, what do we have in here, want to have a fight, bunny?" Lady Devimon taunted. She flicked oversized demon hand's index finger in taunting manner. The sharp angle did not faze her. She was nimble on her feet, quickly dodging the attack. Unfortunately, that means she's open to Viktor's attack. The Digimon launched several foot to the other side, clawing on the ground to brake.
"Hmph, two on one is it? Very well, why don't we dance!"
She quickly snapped her fingers. Astamon's, Matadrmon's and her own speed suddenly rose. However, she's not the only one to react.
A chant rose from Awakened Sistermon Blanc. While Lady Devimon has empowered her cohort's speed, their power dropped significantly. Noir used this as chance to shoot at the Astamon. She blessed her gun prior with a kiss, baptizing it with greater power. Astamon was still weakened by Cion's technique, and unable to dodge on time. He hissed as his coat now riddled with some hole from the energy shots.
...where does Alan stand in this situation?
Unfortunately his earlier stunt with the woman earn him her fury. "I don't care what you even call those monsters! They always came to attack, and every single time they always causes chaos like this, just like that school and the entertainment district!"
She ran, and never to be seen afterward. The Guilmon still froze in place
Seeing that, the Dark Tyrannomon and his two adult friends looked slightly dejected. "..We just want human to be gone from our world. We... don't really want to fight like this. We came from Dark Area... and some of us was part of crowd who was wronged by DATS in the past. You know, they used brainwashing technique to force you to help them, kidnapping ad all that... Then DATS dissolved, and the government changed into better one... some of us felt we can live in Real World, hidden among humans. You guys can waltz in and play in our world, why can't we do the same?
And then DATS reinstated... after all of this time, they want to ignore all the crimes they do to Digimons? I had no idea, but back then all I saw were red. I just want DATS to take their shitty policy out. Why humans always do this one sidedly? Why can't they understand that Digimon want equality too? And then come Matadrmon, he said he'll make DATS pay... but I really don't want war. When I finally saw how he acted, he seriously a screw loose. We really just want to make DATS pay their old crimes, not start war. We just want DATS to see that all of these are not equal."
"You... you guys ruined it all, you know... We could have peaceful parade and protest!" Pumpmon suddenly approached. "We could have do protest better than just doing senseless anarchy like this! What are you guys thinking!?"
"We're sorry... we honestly really don't want any real harm. We just want to scare people into thinking that Digimon are scary," Woodmon dejectedly apologized. "We thought if they saw those they will finally leave Digital World alone."
They're not aware however, that the camera are rolling on them. The agent however are too busy with the situation.
"Commander, update on situation, three perfect-class Digimon joined the battle. We're a bit preoccupied at the moment."
"Unfortunately we can't yet send a backup. Sector A and C also reported similar sightings. It's suggested that you finish the battle in approximately five minutes, Agent."
Five minutes... and the backup will appear, huh... She better take everyone down in five minutes then.

Toki sighed and shook his head at the 'plan' the champion level Digimon had "As far as I know, there's no keeping humans out of the Digital World as there's no keeping Digimon out of the human world. This is why the whole secret keeping has just backfired...now all humans know is fear and uncertainty...you could have asked Tamers, or Digimon who have tamers, their experiences with them...instead you chose revenge against the wrongdoings of the past. I'm not excusing what DATS has done. If what you say is true, that's inexcusable of them, but no one side is completely to blame. We need to come together and understand each other instead of point fingers! DATS now has those who are willing to listen, like Maria. Now...as for what you can do now...either leave, wait, or help fight."
Oddly enough he smiled at the rantings of the Ultimates "Oh, so you're all cowards." he stated bluntly "Scared that your precious status quo is challenged, so you choose to subjugate through brute force and manipulation. Don't you know that makes you weaker than anyone else? I'd hate to break it to you, but the days of might makes right are over. Defending others on the other hand? That's another story."
Toki cracked his knuckled as stone formed around his hands and feet "Dance of the Mountain King!" Since it seemed restraining Matadormon was out of the question, Toki decided to be more straightforward. It was refreshing that something needed a simpler method to dispatch. He kept his arms tucked near his sides to defend himself as he swung his stone-clad foot towards Matadormon's head, followed by heavy front punches to his chest to push him away from Cion. Due to Matadormon's hostile action to Cion, each punch had a strange energy behind them. Wrath guided his fists, but it was a guided wrath. He ended the combination attack with a high kick that was followed up with a heel kick atop Matadormon's skull.
He hopped back slightly and looked to Cion "Don't bother trying to restrain his movements...between your ability and mine, he shrugged off both. Focus on simply attacking him. I'll keep him pressured, you follow up however you can. Just try and avoid anything that would cause a lot of collateral damage."
Everyone else was also tangled in their own battles. He hoped they would be able to handle their individual battles, but he had to focus on his own. Splitting attention too much would be a bad idea to get the job done in time.
-------
After a slight lecture to the Champion levels and a thorough mocking of the Ultimates, Toki attacks Matadormon with Dance of the Mountain King. Buffed through the passive 'Wrath of the Mountain King.'
Combat Passive- Wrath of the Mountain King: If Lagosmon attacks an enemy that recently attacked an ally, they deal 30% more damage with that attack.
Dance of the Mountain King: Augments their hands and feet with hard stone and unleashes a barrage of blows against a single target
Stalagmite Fortress 1/2, Sand Shackles 2/3.
