It's day, approximately 10 AM in the morning. In eight hours, the sun will set, and things will get damn dangerous. That's why they have to make haste. For the meantime, KIZNA, and one guest who's in the submarine ship at the moment, is heading toward a certain sector in Sunken Elysium. The place itself actually conglomeration of different level of civilization. Ironically, low level civilization is less dangerous compared the high tech one. And by the way? It's high tech one that the team is going to.
"Alright, please synchronize your clock. Mind you, we on the surface will most likely unable to help you, ones down there, because we'll need to defend against Digimons in case stuff goes awry. For the meantime, let's begin with our little mission briefing. As you guys know, we know very little about our base... what we know so far is that it's a piece of artifact, a megastructure that seem to be alive, as much as any Digimon would... Its origin is in fact not known. Is it from this world? is it from another Digital World? No one really knows... but where in this world there are other kind of place like that? Here.
From what we know, Sunken Elysium is place where various buildings, from other Digital World (theorized) washed up to. It's basically like an underwater junkyard... except it's more to ruins site rather than just a simple site I guess... In your D-Nexus I have put data of what building you'll need to find but basically, we're looking for building with similar match, about 80% upward compared to our own base. It might be impossible, but what we want here is to look for the best match possible, look at what information available... The keyword is "Memory Stella". Of course any information will be useful...
Anyway, joining us today..." Yuuki politely turned to face Amelie "Miss Saboro right here. She's apparently already here before, although apparently is from different sector. According to our intel on this place... it has been flooded with mutated Digimon of unknown origin, so that, coupled with the speed needed... considering we need this done before dusk... I have decided to request her help. Anyway... that aside... If you have any question you'd like to address, please address them right away. We're pressed for time. I'm sure the pressure is making me haste, but whatever for the meantime..."

It's been quite a while since Amelie had gone to the tropics, let alone decided to take a dive in Elysium's ruins. The second time was, undoubtedly very different from the first, however. This time, the effort had been organized to a degree a single person couldn't really hope to accomplish. Definitely a worthwhile effort, especially in the face of what the KIZNA itself could gain if this endeavor proved to be fruitful.
Yuuki's own explanation had been detailed enough considering that their goal was, ultimately, rather nebulous. Well, at least for the brunette it was; perks of not quite belonging to the organization that had organized this effort, she guessed. Not like she had to understand the overarching repercussions, anyway; at least for her, it just came to trying her best at making the team succeed. If this adventure had any overarching repercussions, she could only hope to have those be explained in terms she could understand, more or less!
Reverie time was over, though, especially considering that time was of the essence. Making sure that her clock was on time, she proceeded to smile at Yuuki's introduction. "That degree of formality isn't necessary. Name's Amelie, but you can call me just Amy if that's what you prefer. Pleased to meet you all."
Questions, huh? At least on her stead, the task seemed to be pretty straightforward, especially since she had to more or less follow the lead of the people/digimons with the D-Nexus. "None here. I'm ready to go."

The idea of taking someone who had zero idea of where they were, especially in terms of 'what world am I in' to something as time-oriented as this mission was something Fuu found preposterous. Bu, on the other hand, was entirely convinced that this was a necessary endeavor they needed to take. Sure, it was a trial by fire in the eyes of the tamer they found in the Spyware Cavern, but she had to learn somehow.
Yui Kita had been busy trying to ensure her clock was synced up, with it taking a nudge from Fuu for her to look up. "...Right, I'm Yui. I'm really new here, so don't throw me under a bus or anything." When it came to questions, the twins were oddly silent. They were obviously looking to see if Yui'd call any shots or something. "What sort of Digimon can we expect to meet here? I know it's obvious we're looking at sea creatures but what kinds even exist? That's my only question, otherwise I'm ready to go." She managed a smile despite being woefully out of her element.
Fuu, on the other hand, had another question. "Are...we talking about a match in composition or architecture?"
"Shoot, that's actually a good question." Both Yui and Bu muttered to themselves.

As Yuuki spoke, Cassie would both be standing to attention - listening closely to their leader's words. Ophelia, on the other hand, would be standing to attention if she were not attempting to snuggle up to Bu, the Spadamon letting out a soft and affectionate purr as she embraced her prospective mate. She'd still be listening just as well as Cassie was, though, as Yuuki laid out all the information they'd need to know for the mission; or, more accurately, that Cassie would need to know.
Though Ophelia was present on the submarine-ship, she would only be remaining here as mission control and moral support for Cassie; given that the Spadamon had a strong aversion to water. This, too, was partially also why she was snuggled up to Bu; being very reluctant to let Bu go out into the water as well, even if Bu didn't have the same reasons to fear water that Ophelia did.
Instead, Cassie would be, essentially, flying solo today - the eager little Gomamon-X being well suited to underwater exploration; and far more comfortable in water than Ophelia was. Whilst this was her first time acting on her own, without Ophelia to back her up, she was a lot more comfortable with the idea knowing that she'd be amongst friends. Being that her main skillset was in healing, she was aiming to play a supportive role as a medic as opposed to a fighter; but she was still confident in her ability to look after herself, if things were to indeed go a bit pear-shaped.
As the sisters would listen to Yuuki's explanations though, and his request for questions - Ophelia would be amongst the ones who, indeed, had questions; unwrapping one of her arms from Bu to raise her hand. "I second Yui's question - what does it mean for a digimon to be mutated? The heck might a mutated digimon look like, or be able to do?" This question was partially rooted in her own concern for Cassie - she wasn't exactly used to letting her sister go off on her own, either; yet much like how Cassie felt, the idea that Cassie would be among friends she knew and trusted would be comforting. Amy was curious, too - seeing as she didn't seem to have any digimon partner - which led her to wonder if she was anything like Arthur, who had been able to turn into a digimon.
Cassie, meanwhilst, would move over to Yui's side, nuzzling her leg in a comforting fashion. "It's okay! This is my first mission on my own - so we're both going to be something new!" She'd reassure the human - smiling brightly as she'd add - both to Amy as well as to Yui "My name's Cassie, though - and the Spadamon over there is my sister, Ophelia! It's nice to meet you Yui, and it's also nice to meet you too, Amy!" As Ophelia was mentioned, she'd wave to the other two humans with a friendly smile. "Ay,"

Holly flicked her ears as what was... well their mission was explained to them. Some mega-struccture that was alive deep in the depths of Sunken Elysium. A place that... well not many people knew a lot about; as it was a fairly new discovery. Holly rubbed her chin as yuuki continued to explain the situation at hand.
A lot of it was pretty straightforward and thankfully she didn't have any questions herself [at least for now]. She knew of the individual that was tagging along from her sister syre, the human was an aunt to her sister and well... from what she heard had been there when her ma hadn't been.
"I know of Amy already! She's my sister's aunt!"
The meicoomon grinned and tilted her head, Yui had some questions. Holly rubbed at her chin as the human spoke, asking about digimon that they could expect, some sea creatures... and really that was it. A match in composition or architecture? Holly blinked slowly and considered this question herself.
It would be a good thing if it was both really...
The mutation that the digimon had probably stemmed from something foreign, but the question was what exactly. The meicoomon tilted her head the other way as Ophelia piped up about those digimon in question.
"Actually that's a good question in it's own... Hrrr. Is the mutation reversible or is it a permanent feature to their current data?"
Holly was curious about these mutations, if she was lucky she'd be able to reverse it with some proper applications of... well something. She doubted she'd be able to do too much in field really. Holly's eyebrows shot up as apparently cassie was going to be going on her own on this mission, she'd turn her head to look to Ophelia, quirking a small brow. There was an edge of worry as she knew that Cassie was usually around Ophelia a lot... so there'd be a little bit of reliance right? But this would be a healthy exercise if they were able to do this on their own.
"How far are we going into the Depths? And will we have any proper communication after a certain level? I know that the pressure down there could have some... effects I guess."

Right, that’s a nice question. Yuuki immediately turned on a projector and clicked the attached computer several times. “According to the intel that we have, the Digimons in question are mutated Seadramons and various other sea Digimons. Miss Amelie has generously gave us several data pertaining to her visit...
First, we talk about the existence of new programming called ExD program. For lack of a better word, I guess this is a virus. It changes how some Digimon operates, Based on what our deciphering team, lead by Prof. Ninsei the Nise Agumon Hakase, has found: These programs are not native to this world. Basically, it’s some other world’s program to make sure their Digimon adapted to ours. However, as it turns out, the program sorta mutated, and it infected Digimons in Sunken Elysium. They’re not made for ours, so side effects are bound to happen. Cure has yet to be found, but we found ways to protect you against it. It’s still a prototype, but it’s better than nothing. Carry these.”
Yuuki passed on what looked like a pendant, almost looking like keyhole shaped, except instead of empty, there is a green crystal on the center. It seem protects the data integrity of the wearer to certain degree.
“What we know about this program’s nature is... it’s similar to X-Antibody, except it gives you power over certain elements, changes your appearance… and at times, it messes with your sanity. As ExD programs are made to ‘adapt to our world’ in mind, it does not have any environmental tolerance benefit to Digimons who really lived in this place… It might show its effect if somehow Seadramon walked on land, but as far as I know, there has yet to be cases like that…”
“Actually,” Hikaru would quip “...it apparently only gives one kind elemental change to one type of digimon. So if you’re a Gesomon, it doesn’t look like that you’re going to be anything but poison, earth type if you’re infected by ExD Virus. In a sense that makes it easier when you face against ExD Digimon, because you’ll know what element it will use anyway.”
“Several found Digimons around these areas are Seadramon, Rukamon, Tylomon, Whamon, Seahomon, and Depthmon. We have yet to gather intel on most of them, but Seadramon is apparently Lightning based, Tylomons are metal. No idea about the rest, but you should be careful,” Yuuki concluded.
Match in comparison or architecture? “Architecture more than composition I guess. I’m not sure if everything in Ys are like 100% uniform. Surely there are differences here and there… As of how far, I guess it’s safe to say that you guys are going about 50~150 meter underneath this point. I don’t think it goes any deeper than that… as for communication… Be thankful to D-Nexus. But that’s why I want one of you to stick close to Miss Saboro just to make sure she can communicate with you. On top of that, we’ll definitely monitor you with drone. As it’s just a prototype, this drone needs to be protected. The goal is so that we, the one in this submarine, can give you assistance on where to find the building. Is there any more questions? Ah right, for the meantime, if you need to purchase anything in the team shop, go on ahead. We have everything in the team shop here.”

...In all honesty, the ExD mutation sounded like some kind of bootleg X-Antibody that...was more a virus than anything, as Yuuki had said. The twins both nodded their heads at this revelation, while Yui turned to Cassie. "Nice to meet you too! Uh...What are you?" Fuu quickly answered that with, "Cassie's a Gomamon, though more specifically a Gomamon X. She's a good one, too, if what I heard about that Golden Week stuff's correct!"
Yui was thankfully aware of who Ophelia was, namely because Bu wouldn't stop talking about her. "I don't have any further questions that didn't just get asked, thankfully!" She spoke, folding her hands behind her back as Bu and Fuu continued to wait for explanations to conclude. Mostly because of how informative they turned out to be. "Yeah, I...guess we're just waiting for everyone else to talk." Bu muttered.

It seemed like a piece of fine machinery humming, the members of KIZNA were exchanging information about what the ExD Program (Virus?) was, and how it afflicted the digimon that were struck by it, among a variety of other questions. Among them, one comment managed draw her attention; was that Meicoomon related to... Syre in some way? Well, better to ask!
"Take you're Syre's sister? Guess that means I'm your aunt as well!" If permitted, Amelie would rub Holly's head. She looked like a good girl. "I hope we can become good friends."
Pleasantries aside, it seemed like Amy could actually help Yuuki with his explanation, given that she had actually been there. That was a good thing! "I can show you how one of those digimon look firsthand, give me a second." It took her a bit to reach for her Infini-Store, retrieve her sketchbook and get to the correct page, but she finally managed to pass it to Ophelia. It wasn't the most detailed drawing ever, but at the very least, if the Spadamon was familiar with the species, she'd be able to recognize the horribly mutated Gesomon drawn there. Which, granted, didn't seem all that ugly in hindsight when Gesomon X is a thing, but still...
"Feel free to pass it along if you want, Ophelia. Like Yuuki said, he was pretty much all about employing poison in most of its attacks, even though it had some tricks under its tentacles; those things can be very dangerous, so you've got to be careful around them; if possible, we should get rid of them as soon as possible. I guess that'd also reduce the chances of any of us to get infected by the Virus if it comes to that. My fight with that Gesomon didn't last a lot, but it was in a very small space and I got hit a fair bit of times, so... I don't know how likely that is to happen, or if my case serves as a metric. Maybe humans can't get infected? Maybe the virus isn't compatible with my digimon forms? I don't know."
The whole thing managed to remain as a pretty big mystery, and that was part of the reason why she had volunteered to this expedition so readily. Truth was that the brunette was quite curious about the whole deal, and wanted to get to the bottom of it if she could. "I'll try my best to not weigh you all down. Sorry to impose."
Amy had been ready to begin the exploration since the start, and that hadn't changed. Was everyone else ready? At least in Yui and the twins' case, that seemed to be true. What about Cassie and Holly?

Cassie would curiously eyeball the pendant as it was passed out- the jade-like crystal in the center gleaming in the light that illuminated the ship's briefing room. "It's so pretty..." She couldn't help but breathe to herself, idly rolling the pendant between her flippers to admire how the light would refract thru the crystal. It even matched her eyes, the green; which brought a bright smile to her face as she would, before long, put it on; looping it around her neck. Once the pendant was settled, though, she would quickly snap back to attention, listening to Yuuki and Hikaru explain the details about the mission. Ophelia, similarly, would be listening; though was still busy snuggling up to Bu, bunting her cheek against the Ryudamon's shoulder, and purring audibly all the while.
As the duo listened though, another question would come up - this time from Cassie, who tilted her head. "The program being made to adapt to here... It... almost makes it sound like there were digimon from other Digital Worlds coming here on purpose?" She'd mention, though there was a questioning tone to it; cause, honestly, she didn't know for sure! She wasn't exactly confident on whether she was asking the right questions; they probably weren't very relevant to finding buildings similar to Ys, after all. "Why would their world be so different from ours that they'd need the program? Is the program mutating why it's acting like a virus?" And the elemental changes... Cassie wasn't sure if any of it would really be relevant to her - she wasn't much of a fighter like Ophi, after all - but it was still good to know!
As Fuu mentioned the 'Golden Week' stuff, though... Cassie would blink a bit, before flustering slightly - shyly hiding her face behind her flippers with a faint squeak. Aaaahh... Everyone praised her so much for it, but she was just going by gut instinct, really! All the praise kept catching her off guard! Ophelia couldn't help a laugh at her sister's flustered demeanor though, parting from Bu briefly to ruffle the fur atop Cassie's head. "Yeah, it's probably correct; she helped a whole lot in keeping any fights from breaking out, by rallying everyone together. I suppose spirit runs in the family, eheheh!" "Aaaaaaa..." Cassie would make a muffled sound from behind her flippers - but couldn't help a shy giddy giggle of her own, smiling sheepishly up to Yui. "I was just following my gut, really." She'd remark softly; downplaying it some.
And then the sketchbook that Amy would begin to pass around - first to Ophelia. The Spadamon would peer over the drawing, and was able to comprehend what the digimon here probably looked like in action; though... She didn't exactly know about aquatic digimon all that much, and neither did Cassie. Still, Ophelia would nod to herself, then pass it on to Cassie once she had her fill of the drawing. Next, once Cassie was done with the drawing as well, the Gomamon-X would pass it to Holly, seeing as she was the closest by at the moment. Speaking of Holly, though... Ophelia would notice the Meicrackmon's quirked brow, and the Spadamon would tilt her head in visible confusion and inquisitiveness. What was Holly wondering about? "Prrrp? Something up?"
Finally, there was the question of communication, and who would stick with Amy... Cassie would smile brightly, and wave a flipper in Amy's direction, mentioning "It's no problem, Amy; I'll stick with you for this mission! I wanna get to know you more, anyways; you seem really nice!" She'd chirp, moving over to the human's side, and going in for one of her signature exuberant hugs! If Amy wasn't careful about accepting this hug, it was likely that the Gomamon-X's surprising strength and energy would end up knocking her over! Ophelia would blink, and move to try and get Cassie to wait a second - "W-wait a second, Cass," - though it seemed the Gomamon was a bit faster on the draw this time; already coming in for the hug!

"We believe that's the case," Yuuki answered to Cassie's inquiry. "According to the report given by Miss Saboro, some civilization that's currently in Sunken Elysium came from other Digital World which either has stagnated, or somehow destroyed. How true was that is unknown, and what we know is that there are differences, but not radical enough to prevent some sort of shift toward their world to ours... Unfortunately, there were no way for us to really examine condition of other Digital World, so there are this assumption that each Digital World worked in different manner, you see...
Thus is what leading them to create the ExD program, which has now mutated into ExD virus. As of why the ExD program become ExD Virus, it might because the transfer which causes some data to get corrupted... and in return, that's what happened. Either way, I believe there's no other question for now, yes? If you still have one, don't hesitate to ask now... I'm afraid communication will be cut there... but as long as you protect the drone, it shouldn't be a problem as it's our sort of satellite.
If you guys going to go out right now... make sure that all your preparation is ready. All team shop item should be available to purchase right here. Goodluck, team."

At least in appearance alone, it seemed like everyone was good to go! Besides Cassie asking her last doubts regarding the nature of the ExD Virus or getting flustered regarding her actions during the events that had transpired in the Golden Week, it seemed like everyone else was itching to go already.
"Thank you, Cassie. Same he-"
Besides Amelie, apparently; the Gomamon X's advances now had her in firmly in the floor, pinned by the small digimon's surprising strength. She had to admit that the gesture, coupled with the sincere display it meant made her smile from her position. In a small effort, she did her best at reciprocating it, even though not nearly with enough strength. Without a shadow of doubt, Cassie was a good girl.
"I guess we're good to go, then. As soon as I can stand up, I guess." Once again, she'd wait patiently in case anyone wanted to buy something from KIZNA's shop whilst getting ready to dive into the water. In a sense, the brunette was excited to try and uncover any mysteries she had left unresolved in her first visit to Sunken Elysium, but on the other, she also knew that this was pretty serious undertaking as well. Lowering her guard while diving into the mostly unknown could prove to be a critical mistake.

There was a lot for Yui to process at the moment regarding the Digital World and the nature of the program/virus that was said to be a possibility for the group to encounter. Fuu looked to Cassie as she posited the idea that the reason why the program was acting like a virus thanks to a mutation.
"...That's honestly what I was going to assume. No sense for it to be acting like that otherwise." The Dorumon shrugged. "Either way, caution should be exercised." Meanwhile, Bu was gonna go rifle through the team shop to see if there were any safeguards against viruses and the like in stock. Yui then realized she was kind of spacing out a bit, and turned her head, looking down to see the Gomamon having knocked Amy over. "...You okay down there?" She'd offer a hand to help Amy up when the frenchwoman was free to stand the heck up.

Cassie squeaked a bit - "Yeep!" - as she and Amelia both tumbled to the floor; almost as though she, too, had been surprised by her own strength! As they both landed, Cassie blinked briefly - and was about to open her mouth as though to say something (likely apologize, given that she was trying to be better about this!) But, Amelie would then hug her back - interrupting her train of thought, and making her giggle sheepishly and happily. The Gomamon-X would happily nuzzle Amelie, hugging the human with her front flippers as her short tail (and her backside by extension, almost like a happy pitbull!) began to wiggle excitedly! "Of course, we're all friends here!" She'd chirp in response to Amelie's previous thanks; visibly in high spirits now.
Ophelia, though, wouldn't be far behind the Gomamon-X; unable to help a small laugh. "Sorry, Cassie doesn't know her own strength sometimes." Ophelia would apologize- reaching down to lift Cassie off of Amelie, only to transition into giving the Gomamon-X a playful noogie! This would elicit a squeaking laugh from Cassie, as she pushed at Ophelia with her flippers to break out of the headlock, grinning sheepishly as she turned her attention to Amelie "Yeahh... I'm sorry if I hurt you at all, Amy! I can heal you, if you are hurt at all," She'd offer - smiling sheepishly, and perhaps a hint shyly. "I'm not as much of a fighter as Ophi is, but I take pride in my ability to heal others!"
The mention of preparation and team shop items, though, would draw Ophelia's attention. Huhm... Well, they had their options, though Ophelia would decide to pick out a few items for Cassie; namely a Haven Circle, an Ariadne's Thread, and an Advanced Exploration Kit. It was spendy, but Ophelia figured that the Kit would be a worthwhile investment - and one couldn't go wrong with the safety in having the thread and Haven Circle. "I'll grab these for Cassie," Ophelia would mention to Yuuki as she picked them out and got out the bits to pay for it all; which, frankly, seemed pretty cautious for the normally hasty Spadamon... Yet, this was Cassie going into a potentially hostile area, all on her own! Better safe than sorry, Ophelia figured, she couldn't be there to protect her sister...

Apparently dummy fox was developing a bad habit for being late to important things. The fault was entirely on her, as she should have been awake much earlier today but just was not. Aside from a short detour to the shops to grab some needed equipment, she had made a beeline for where she needed to be- thanking the powers that be that transporters did exist. To help herself getting there faster she took advantage of Flashfire Phantom for little additional bursts of speed, though obviously that ability made her invisible so when she finally did show up to the briefing she essentially appeared out of thin air with a little pop. And just a bit of embers.
After a small bit of recovery from all that running, she stood straight and raised a paw to bring attention to herself if that unintentionally silly entrance hadn't done it already. "I'm here! Not late!" Obviously though she was kinda late. Didn't seem like it was too horribly so, but still.
"Oof.. Hi guys." The Renamon huffed a sigh. She sort of wondered what she had already missed, though she wasn't gonna ask someone to repeat all of it to her. Someone would probably summarize anyway so she wasn't worried about it.

"Well, looks like the late one is here," Hikaru quipped, albeit seem to be joking. "Get your ass out there, Hasenya, and make your Papa proud. I'm sure you can do it anyway... aaand... with that being said... Time to get out. And here's the drone. Either way, goodluck all of you! Please be safe. Remember, you only most likely have one shot at this... we might do second exploration down the road, but this is important enough to return with something at the very least! Speaking of which, I see that Ophelia has used Ariadne Thread. I assume you want to use it in this ship as a checkpoint?"
The water was warm, warm enough at the very least. At the moment, the sonar doesn't seem to pick any enemy. There are no signature of any Digimon, but... they would later find out that they're not alone... Down there on where the civilization lies, there are several odd shaped Digimons. The normal shaped Digimon has fled, most likely... leaving mutated Digimons staying around... What for? How much as the Elysium got itself contaminated? The drone let out a beep, and seem to transmit some direct communication from Hikaru.
"Can you guys hear me? Hikaru here... currently the water temperature is around 20C. Down there it gets to 13C. What's shocking is apparently the level of contamination of the Elysium... From the coding of the sea water, the contamination rate of ExD virus has reached dangerous 47%. It's in the water by the way... amazing isn't it? In bad way that is...
I picked up some digital signature of ExD Seadramons down there... interesting how they basically looks like Mega Seadramon, but with straight horn instead... Their carapaces has been reinforced, so you might want to keep that in mind. You might need to fight some considering they're everywhere near the city....
But I feel there are some way to avoid them. I don't know HOW... but if I got some idea, I'll tell you guys... or maybe you guys can try whatever you have. Remember to not split less than two person, please. Stick together, everyone. Hikaru out."
Thankfully, it doesn't seem that the Seadramon is paying attention to them at the moment... but are they seriously meant to be THAT huge? It almost looks like the Seadramons are doubled in size! However, unmistakably, their digital signature is those of an adult stage... perhaps a bit stronger, but it doesn't looks like there are such radical changes in power to them.
