Odette's reply to Lulu was more than a little strange to her, considering that the Kazemon spirit wasn't entirely used to her new voice, either. Was that really what she sounded like? Regardless, the surprise silenced the trapped spirit long enough to let the other two have a brief aside. Still, she managed to recover from it well enough to respond to Amelie's rather polite, yet still somehow insulting comments.
"I'll know more whenever this human or one of my sisters wakes up," She responded curtly. "And you'll have to excuse me for not being some 'ancient and wise being'. Guess I'll try to die a little older from now on..." She tried to shrug her words off but they kept bothering her regardless.
And then the two kept trying to tell her not to mess up the human's body like she was gonna run in front of a speeding Trailmon or something. "I don't know what your guys' problem is, but I'm not exactly in some kinda rush to go fight some brutish Digimon," She responded. "Judging by this body's condition, all I really need to do is wait around! And not all Digimon get second and third chances, lady! There ain't no guarantee that you hold onto your memories, and once you lose your memories you might as well be dead!"
Some drinks and food arrived and she nodded to her server. "Oh, thank you so much!" She replied with a nod of her head and a gentle smile. Which baffled Lulu to an extent, as she didn't have any intention on performing such an action. Was such a response just ingrained into this body somehow? She was left with a confused expression on her face as she reached for one of the pastries, yet her hand froze.
"I don't even remember dying and becoming a spirit. All I know is that I'm dead now and that my sisters are also hanging around in their dead forms... probably. Just a feeling I got." She tried to move her arm, but something was resisting her from taking hold of the sweet and salty foods. Well, if her body's owner was so vehement against free food, so be it. She leaned back in her chair with her arms crossed. She could feel some sort of consciousness forming within her.
"Ain't exactly a question about this world, but if you knew a way for me and my pals to go back to being fully alive Digimon, then that would be just wonderful," She answered rather impatiently. She had a feeling that the human was beginning to stir, and she wanted an answer from the know-it-all lady. "That way, the big bad spirit that's apparently's too dangerous could split away from this human, and she can go on and get a different spirit. Maybe one that's a little more 'ancient and wise'!"

“Nice? I’ve vacationed there. The beaches are very beautiful, don’t you think? Better than any I’ve seen in Japan thus far.” Nice was, pun not intended, a very nice city. Amelie wished she could visit the place again at some point. Would definitely be fun!
Regrettably, Amelie couldn’t maintain a nice exchange with everyone present, considering, in some form another, the two older girls had managed to irk the other. It was hard to tell if the whole thing had been involuntary or not, but it wasn’t like that mattered any. A shrug followed suit.
“I mean, you saying that you’re not in a rush to go and fight is kinda… ironic when considering that your human looks like she has seen better days.” Sure, maybe the spirit hadn’t been involved when those bruises happened, but the point still stood. “I’m not saying that you’ll run headfirst to fight whatever you have in front of you. I’m saying that, while I don’t know your human in the slightest, we just tend to be emotional, do stupid things, and get on trouble more often than not, and since you’re the older and more experienced one, you should try to be her voice of reason, you know? It wouldn’t be the first time that somebody believes they can do anything just because they suddenly have superpowers. A lot of stories have been cut short due to that.”
The young woman wasn’t even gonna address how entitled the ‘not every digimon gets a guaranteed second chance’ argument sounded, so she just stopped there; the point she wanted to make was already made anyway. In the end, the three ended up sitting down. Odette’s identity as a digimon was revealed; it was a most puzzling development that the two sensed a strange kind of familiarity with each other, yet couldn’t quite nail why, however.
“How does tea taste?” That question could take hours to respond. How to settle with something easy to understand? “Well, uh. This one’s pretty bold and malty, while also having some fruity notes and a particularly citric aftertaste. It’s pretty good, if you ask me!” That's right. Tea nut reporting for duty! “There’s plenty of things to do in Tokyo if you have enough time to look around, even though looking like a kid might put some restrictions on what you’re able to do, especially if you’re not in the company of an adult. Kind of like the Digital World, barring the fighting monsters part. Anything in particular you’d like to do?”
Possible plans for yet another outing aside, Amelie wouldn’t dwell on that a lot, considering the puzzling story that the spirit narrated. Overall, it seemed that her and her sisters’ transition was shrouded in mystery. Maybe there was something out of the ordinary there? As much as she’d have liked to, it was impossible to know at the moment.
What she might or might not have a clue on, however, was on how the spirits could recover their bodies. “I might.” That statement was followed by a small sip on her cup. While the spirit seemed to be rather impatient, Amy sure was taking her time. “But it’s not a path worth following or having into account; it’s more worthwhile to try and make the best out of your current situation than forcing a change that might end up hurting everyone involved or worse. Just think of this situation as having a new best friend and it won’t be so bad, I think. Maybe you’ll even become an ancient and wise spirit by spending time with her; wouldn’t that be neat?”
The whole ‘ancient and wise’ thing was kind of becoming a bit of a meme, wasn’t it? Oh well, it wasn’t like she minded that.

"Dying isn't good period. ...I'm sorry if I don't have much to add there..." Odette admitted, in her normal voice. She had...zero clue on how to approach this. Death was a foreign concept. Yet she was speaking to someone who it had happened to.
...It was likely better to focus on other things to avoid making too much of an ass of herself. That would be super embarrassing...So, she focused on the tea explanation being doled out by Amelie. What an...interesting answer. Malty. Bold. Citric...That sounded like stuff that Omen would like, right?
Yes, maybe.
She would take a long, long sip of the tea while Amelie continued to speak an answer out to her question. "Not fight. Maybe not, this...this seems like the place where you don't fight. I kind of just...want to get my bearings. There's a lot here..." So much to do. So much to see...
"...If it makes either of you feel good, I think you're both ancient and wise compared to me."
Thank you, Odette. Very cool.

Lulu's eyelids tried to force themselves shut, and the Kazemon spirit resisted with everything she could. It seemed that whether she realized it or not, the human was finally waking up. About damned time. Still, Lulu wanted this to last as long as she possibly could. She... realized that trying to keep possession of a body that wasn't hers was... outright despicable, but this could be the last time that Lulu ever could ever get to blink of her own accord, to look someone in the eye and tell someone how much she hated her before kicking her right in the face... okay, maybe she still wouldn't get a chance to do that anymore, but the point still stood.
But Amelie's answer wasn't exactly uplifting, though. Her advise was to just... deal with it and accept the fact that she'd have to live in some human's head and just helplessly look on as she lived in some foreign world to her? Hell no! "Maybe some of us don't wanna live as some human's little ghost pet!" Lulu barked back at Amelie with a voice that was half-aggression, half-desperation. She was finding it difficult to restrain her emotions while simultaneously holding back her host's resurgence. "We still have dreams, damn it!" She slammed her palms down on the table a little louder than she anticipated, but she leaned harder onto it and glared at Amelie.
But it was Odette's comment about being ancient and wise by comparison that suddenly broke through her emotional outburst. "You callin' me an old hag!?" She asked, suddenly bursting out into laughter. Really, she should be absolutely pissed right now, and while she was definitely livid, but the circumstances of the day had finally broken her down.
Well... there wasn't much more she could do. Lulu had her little fun of being in this girl's body, but hell, this weak-ass body just wasn't worth the effort of constantly fighting off her host. So she nodded to Odette with a smirk. "Good knowin' ya, kid. Don't know why you're here in this lame-ass world, but I hope ya have a better time in this world than I did. And you." She turned to Amelie with a cold glare. "Thanks for all your unnecessary lectures and useless advice. I don't give a damn about being 'ancient and wise', but I'm gonna find a way to get my own body back. And when I do, I'm definitely gonna kick you square in the jaw!" She gave her a friendly grin that made it hard to discern whether she was serious or not before adding, "You may now direct all smartass comments towards my host!"
Her eyelids fluttered for a bit, completely unfocused. But after a couple of seconds, Honoka's clear, blue eyes focused on the woman and child in front of her. She was absolutely stunned by her sudden surroundings until she looked down on the table. "Forgive me!" She cried out in a panic, placing her rear back in her seat and removing her hands from the table and placing them properly on her lap. She stood up straight before examining her surroundings once more. Unlike Lulu's overly casual and rather aggressive tone, this one was much more reserved and proper. "This may be rude of me, but... what's going on here?"

Well, it sure seemed like this spirit had quite the path to traverse if she ever hoped to become ancient and/or wise. From the looks of it, even Odette happened to be more mature than her. When a kid had a smarter outlook on life than you… there wasn’t much that could be done about it. Unlike this spirit, though, Amelie had been in one too many unpleasant situations to not know how to roll with them.
“I guess that the alternative you’re proposing is a perfectly reasonable one.” Her voice was pretty calm, with the slightest hint of irritation. “Just throw a fit at your current situation and go on a likely self-destructive path to reclaim what you’ve lost. Sounds extremely smart, doesn’t it?”
It was true that she couldn’t completely empathize with her problems, but she was fairly close to, mostly as somebody who had been on the other side of the lane. “I wish I could dump my spirits inside a trash bin and forget about them for the rest of my life, but here I am. I’ll let you know one thing from my own experience though; you can be a lot more than a ghost pet if you wanna be. For both your sakes, I hope nothing bad comes out of it.”
Odette's intervention was pretty excellent at breaking the tension. Or at least, any tension that the brunette might’ve felt. Both her peers’ words managed to elicit a hearty giggle from Amy. It took her a bit to rein herself back. “It’s been a bit since I’ve laughed like that. Guess that much I owe to you two; didn’t ever expect anyone would call me ‘ancient and wise’ at nineteen. Never thought I’d get so far.”
Once the farewells were began to be bade, the young woman couldn’t but appreciate the humor of the situation; it was a pity that her advice wasn’t taken to heart, but crying over something that wasn’t really in her control wouldn’t really do. “You’re very welcome. For all what’s worth, I hope you can find a way to get your body back without irreversibly damaging neither you nor your host. I’ll be waiting for that day eagerly; it’s not every day that somebody wants to have some sense slapped on them so readily.” Ultimately, she smirked at the departing spirit and waved her goodbye
Only to find quite the stunned girl right afterward. She seemed to be completely in shock initially, but eventually calmed down somewhat all on her own. That was good! “Hey there.” A small wave followed suit. “Nothing to forgive, so don’t worry; why don’t you help yourself with some pastries? They’re delicious.”
Jumping straight into the heart of the matter might’ve been a bit too sudden, after all! Once Amelie felt like the human was a little less nervous and a little more comfortable, she’d dive into the heart of the matter. “We found you balancing on a bridge’s railing some time ago, convinced your spirit that it was an awful idea, and then had a friendly chat on our way here; pleasant girl, I might add. So, now we’re here enjoying ourselves over some light snacks and beverages; that’s the abridged version of it. Your spirit can probably tell you the full details later if you’re interested in them.”
She made a small pause, just to give the recently-roused girl time to process what was happening. “Is everything alright on your side? Your spirit refused to tell us why you had those bruises on your face, so I kinda assumed the worst at first. Might not have been the fairest thing to do in hindsight, but with some luck she’ll be able to forgive me eventually… or something, I guess!”
Enough of a summary, probably! Truth was that Amelie wasn’t sure on what was the kind of person she had in front of her, even though the first impression she had given had already managed to show that the human behind the spirit might be the overly-polite type. Not a bad thing, even though that might mean she didn’t necessarily want to remain in this place, especially considering the episode she just went through.

Was she calling her an old hag? Well, looking at her, the girl didn't even seem to resemble what the standard human definitions for 'old' and a 'hag' were...So, that was mildly confusing, more than anything. "I wasn't...trying to...?" ...The nagging feeling that she had said something marginally erroneous was present. Just a bit.
"It's okay. I don't either. But I'll try." Odette had managed to provide some semblance of a coordinated response to Lulu before she went and...pulled that. Nineteen years was still a long time, though...wasn't it? So, there had to be some wisdom gained at that age.
There was someone else to greet, however. The spirit had given way to the human. "Hi! You didn't do anything, so there isn't anything to forgive. My name's Odette but some people call me Omen." Yes, this was the act she was going to put on now. Now and forever. "Amelie bought the pastries so they're good to eat. But...yeah, what's up? What's your name? What happened?"

"N-no... my hands were placed on the table for some reason, and it was improper, so..." Honoka shook her head. That was the least of her problems right now! "S-sorry... but I don't know what's going on right now, and..." She looked at nearby clock, then realized she was in her uniform. What was she doing here!?
Just chill, missy. A voice suddenly called out to Honoka. A strange sensation she felt once before in the Digital World. A voice that unbeknownst to the girl, only she could hear.
"Who is this?" She asked aloud, looking around in a panic. "Lili? Is that you?"
Not Lili. Lulu. I just woke up this morning myself. Nice to meet you.
"Nice to meet you, too..." Honoka answered the voice in her head, settling down in her seat. "I'm Honoka."
Yeah, I gathered that already. You weren't waking up, so I took your body out for a spin since you weren't using it.
"You did what!?" Her voice was a little louder than she intended.
I tried to get you to that school place those people in your house kept telling you to go to, but I got lost along the way and bumped into these two. Odette's a cute kid, but she's a Digimon in disguise. And the old lady's Amelie. She's a smug jerk but she's good people. Maybe.
Honoka looked at the woman and child sitting across from her. The woman didn't seem too much older than she was. "Old lady?" Honoka asked aloud, obviously confused.
Anyway, they're probably not suspicious folk, so play nice, alright?
Odette had introduced herself, apparently Omen was a nickname. Both of them assured her that everything was fine, and that she should eat some pastries. Delicious pastries, full of sugar and vice. "N-no thank you, but I appreciate the offer..." She bowed her head more out of nervousness than politeness.
Amelie and Omen had asked how Honoka was doing, and Honoka wasn't quite sure how to respond, really. She was more confused and scared than anything else. Her recent escapade in the Digital World led her beaten, captured, and when she managed to befriend one of her captors, he was killed. Then Honoka pushed her new spirit to her limits and was forced to kill her lead captor. Honoka wasn't sure she could separate her fears, anxiety, and her feelings of powerlessness from the words she needed to explain.
So the girl simply forced a smile. "It's nothing, really!" She assured the pair. "I just got a little over my head through my last trek throughout the Dig..." She looked around in the public building. "Throughout that other place!" She forced out a short chuckle. "I guess you could say that my mind was a little more tired than my body was, though, if one of my spirits took the pilot's seat! But I'll try to be a little more vigilant from now on!"

It wasn’t hard to discern that the girl the duo had just met wasn’t in the best mental condition at the moment. The fact that she was gazing to a clock and then at herself probably meant that she was one of those overly-responsible types. A prim and proper Japanese lady, probably? Hard to tell.
Harder to tell when she began to communicate with… seemingly herself. Definitely quite the show of mental soundness to a casual observer, even though seeing past it was quite easy for Amelie, being a spirit wielder herself. She could only do the best to fill in the blanks, and at the very least learned that the girl’s named was Honoka, and that her spirit’s wasn’t Lili. The brunette couldn’t help to smirk when her new moniker was mentioned; all in all? It seemed like the girl felt more awkward than comfortable here, which was the opposite of what the older woman pretended. Tough luck, but it wasn’t like she could be a lot more welcoming than this. Things as they were, more or less.
“If you say so.” She finally responded, a calm smile on her face. Further inquiring about the whole deal had pretty high chances of being counterproductive. “I’m glad to hear you’re fine and that you could recover your consciousness, though! The Digital World can be a pretty dangerous place, so be sure to be careful next time.”
As far as that topic could be addressed, probably. It was only then; it was only after that that Amelie would go to the heart of the matter. “Well~.” She took a breath. “You really don’t look all that comfortable here, so I’ll be honest; if you’d rather be somewhere else, I won’t impose on you. You kinda have somewhere to be, and I can even drive you to school if it is not near where we are at the moment; guess that’s better than you being surrounded by two strangers asking awkward questions, ain’t it?”
Things as they were, the girl seemed a bit meek, so this kinda offer probably had equal chances of being accepted or not. “Can even make up an excuse regarding why you’re late. How does that sound?”
In the end, making somebody feel worse than what they already were just so Amy could indulge into some moderately pleasant conversation was moderately selfish. Wouldn’t do, in all honesty.

"Im...proper...?" Yes, this was the other reason Odette was likely not going to be able to keep her cover for long here. She had no idea what the hell manners were! There was a bit here that was still confusing to her. There was more than one spirit with this girl? That was...something to infer with the names Lili.
"Ah. More for me." Odette decided, as she reached over...to steal a pastry for herself. Such was the joy of having arms. Yes, this was definitely something she could get to. Monch. Monch. "What's school like here, anyways?" That was something Odette decided to ask with her mouth half-full before swallowing.
Don't ask how that worked. It just does.
"Are we going there?"

Honoka once again felt helpless in this situation. Thanks to everyone's urging, she at least had a good idea of what's going on, but at the moment, she was at a loss of what to do.
In her little bout of social paralysis, Odette had reached across the table to swipe some food in front of Honoka. It was enough to snap her out of her stupor. Honoka simply smiled at the little disguised Digimon and slid the snacks and pastries in front of her closer towards Odette. "I'm not feeling very hungry, but wasting food is bad as well! So thank you for helping me, Odette-chan!"
Amelie had offered her a ride to school, and she reflexively shook her head in response. "No thank you!" She blurted out almost immediately. "You've already done so much, Amelie-san, so I can't trouble you any further!"
At that point, she didn't have much else to do. She should have gotten up and started to make a mad dash towards school, but instead she remained sitting, just watching the clock. She was late for school, to be sure, but she didn't want to ignore the sweet little Digimon that was in front of her, and she thought that perhaps this Amelie lady might be able to fill her in on some pieces of information that she had yet to figure out herself.
"Amelie-san... I know that I just said that you've already done so much... but... forgive me for being selfish, but perhaps you could answer a couple of unrelated questions of mine? I promise that it won't take very long!"

Now was when things began to get moderately perplexing. While Odette was admittedly doing an excellent job at cooling down the situation, Amelie couldn’t help but to stare a bit at Honoka’s response. It was… definitely not the logic she expected to hear, but she guessed that was fine. Not like the decision wasn’t hers in the end, anyway.
A pensive finger rested on her chin for a moment. How was she supposed to address Odette’s question? Well… “Not very different form the Digital World’s, in all honesty. Main difference’s that there’s no digimons and courses are mostly geared towards the dynamics of the Human World. Maybe you could try one and see by yourself, even though you’d probably have to keep appearances.”
Before any answer regarding whether they were going to one or not was uttered, the conversation returned to its usual course, the brunette dismissively waving at her fellow human’s concern regarding being ‘troubled’. “It’s no issue, really. Not the most troublesome thing I’ve done, and by a stretch. But…” A shrug ensued, followed by her reaching towards one of the pastries as well. “No need to be humble; as long as it’s something I can answer, go ahead. The only person who’s in a hurry is supposedly you, so you can take as much or as little time as you need to.”
All things considered, Amy was fairly curious about the nature of those ‘unrelated’ questions. It wasn’t hard to guess they probably were related to digimon, but given the topic’s vastness, that was as vague as it could be.

"I can sort of get it. I get less hungry when I'm sad or distressed too, but...I'm also neither of those right now, so this food will absolutely not go to waste, for I, Odette, do not go back on my word." ...She had to admit that -chan as a suffix was...actually kind of cute. But there was absolutely no way that anyone would catch her dead admitting this aloud.
When it came to the topic of humanoid educational institutions however, Odette...nodded. Yes, she understood this quite well. "I would like to." Yes, yes she would, but...Doing so alone would be pretty boring. And Omen, while she did not know much of herself just yet, was not one for boring.
"You two should take me to one so I'm not alone." That was not even a question or anything! That was just a goddamn demand! ...She was at least waiting for Honoka's question, though.

Honoka could only squirm uncomfortably in her seat as she continued to be in Amelie's hospitable treatment. The girl wasn't used to being treated... nicely, she supposed. There wasn't a thing in her life that she hadn't had to work hard towards, so someone being so casually polite was just... kind of awkward for the girl. Out of pure stubbornness, She didn't want to accept any of Amelie's charity, but at the same she had no choice. She was just grateful her stomach didn't begin growling or anything. Because that would just be cliche. Still, Omen seemed to have the snacks under control, so Honoka supposed she could accept Amelie's other offer. Information.
She cleared a little bit of space in front of her, then reached into her bookbag and pulled out a notebook and a pen. She turned past her English notes and to a blank page.
Oh... wonderful. You're a fucking nerd, aren't you? She heard Lulu groan within her head. Honoka shook off the detracting voice in her head and stared intently at Amelie.
"Thank you for allowing me these questions, Amelie-san," She briefly bowing her head before taking a deep breath. "Sadly, I haven't had the opportunity to ask these questions of my Spirits, but from what I'm aware of, they haven't been able to provide much useful information about anything other than themselves..." Probably due to the fact that her original spirit, Floramon, didn't speak, and her most recent spirit, Lili, was a tad bit... not so educated. "So Digimon become stronger by Digivolving, but for spirit users it progresses slightly differently. Judging from my previous experience in the Digital World, I gained more power by acquiring more spirits..." She froze up and trembled as the memories from the previous day rushed into her all at once.
The helplessness of being captured, the pain from the beating she took, being driven to her most agonizing limit, despite a gain in power, and still watching helplessly as someone who tried to protect her perish. It wasn't something she could allow herself to experience ever again. Which meant she needed to get stronger.
As strong as possible. As quickly as possible.
No matter how much it would cost her.
Honoka gulped back her trepidation down her throat as she carried on. "Is gaining new spirits the only way for... someone like me to get stronger? And how does that work exactly? One of my spirits led me towards the next, but is that the norm? What exactly differentiates a spirit user like myself from any other Digimon while transformed? Will transforming into a being made of pure data give me any side effects, medical or otherwise, on my human self in the future?"
Then there was the other things that were still on her mind. "And what about organizations in the human world? I've heard from a couple other people like ourselves that brought up an agency that's insistent on keeping Digital matters a secret. Does having a Digivice make me some sort of... criminal? What sort of legal authority do they have?" She looked over towards Odette. She had mentioned, more-so demanded to see what the classroom environment was like. "And assume a Digimon appears in the human world, one that's not taking the form of a human like Odette-chan. Do I have... some sort of responsibility to do something about it? Is there any kind of... unspoken protocol about Digivice owners that I need to be made aware of?"
Fucking. Nerd. Honoka ignored her new spirit's comment and stared at Amelie with a fierce, yet earnest glare. They may not be in a classroom, but depending on Amelie-sensei's responce, Odette-chan might just get the chance to experience the school environment right here and now!

Amelie proceeded to give Odette a half-encouraging, half enthusiastic nod; the disguised digimon was as adorable as they came, wasn’t she? Resisting the urge to hug her wasn’t an effortless endeavor, that was for sure! “I could do that, no problem. Doubt we’d share a classroom, though. At least not with your current form, if you catch my drift.”
As much as Odette’s situation enticed Amy, Honoka’s were a more immediate worry, not to say that probably more important in the grand scheme of things. An eyebrow was quirked at the sudden appearance of the notebook and her fellow human’s scholarly intent, but… that was flattering, in a sense.
“No need to thank me.” She replied calmly as the magenta-haired girl elaborated her question. It wasn’t hard to tell that she was doubtful —perhaps to a worrying extent—, but prodding was unlikely to accomplish anything. Instead, the brunette began to organize in her mind the best way to answer the sudden barrage of questions.
“Let’s see.” She seemed deep in thought for a couple of seconds before finally responding. “Strength comes in many forms; acquiring more spirits is a form to become stronger, but not the only one. There’s enough different ways to accomplish that we could spend the whole day here if I explained them one by one in detail, so I’ll refrain unless you’re interested in diving deep into the topic. Now, regarding the spirit acquisition progress; the usual is for either your spirits or your digivice to guide you towards the next one once you’re ready to acquire it, but that’s not the only way that can happen. There are some unorthodox methods, but that's largely spirit-dependant.”
The young woman took a sip of tea before continuing. She couldn’t avoid smirking a bit at the question that came next. “The difference is that, under that shell of data, you’re still a human, and you shouldn’t forget that one. Holding a digimon form strains both your body and your mind, and while you can hope to get used to it with enough time and practice, it’s never going to stop to feel… alien, for the lack of a better word. Regarding the side effects, you’ve already been experiencing them, haven’t you? Unless body theft was something that happened to you on a regular basis in the past.”
After all, they wouldn’t be in this situation if it weren’t for that small event, hadn’t it. “How each spirit bleeds into their wielder can vary, but you can expect for them to influence to varying degrees your behavior or your habits. You’ll also find your general physical condition either steadily improving thanks to the ‘exercise’ that is turning into a digimon to do digimon things, or quickly deteriorating if you abuse it without giving your body enough time to rest and recover. Kinda like working out, except that sometimes your life is in the line. Neat, isn’t it?”
It was tacit until now, but mentioning it fully wouldn’t do harm to anyone. Amy’s expression turned serious for a moment. “Nonetheless, remember that, at the end of the day, you’re still a human; each time you decide to don a digimon’s body, you should have in mind that your stakes are likely to be way higher than your opponent’s. If they happen to perish, digimon can reincarnate in the safety of the Village of Beginnings; humans, sadly enough, don’t have that luck. Never forget that.”
Interestingly enough, the questions that followed suit weren’t something that the brunette had expected in the first place. And honestly? Not something she was extremely sure of herself. “I’m not affiliated with that agency in any capacity but I personally agree on keeping the whole Digital World deal a secret for as long as it can be; the possible consequences are too unpredictable for that to happen without a good plan behind it, don’t you think?” It was a pretty fascinating topic, all things considered, even if it boiled down to the simple question of ‘could humanity be trusted with the knowledge of the Digital World?’. At least for the time being, Amy didn’t think so. “There are no laws around digivice ownership just yet, so you’re definitely not a criminal by definition… unless you employ it to commit crimes, that is. I’m unsure about what kind of legal authority they have, but I also feel like secret services are kinda shady when it comes to that, don’t they? Least to say, I’d rather not find out about that one on my own.”
Almost there! Just one question remained. “Only a moral one, if anything. The potential damage a feral digimon that ended up here can cause makes them pretty dangerous overall, but whether you care about that or not is your business. In a sense, you could say it’s like an odd kind of vigilantism? I think the government is equipped to deal with that kind of stuff, but I’m unsure if they can respond to the threat fast enough. Considering how risky such an event can be, every second counts, or at least that’s how I see it.”
Quite the long dissertation, honestly! “Hopefully the answers were good enough. Anything else you might want to ask?”
Honoka had proven to be a pretty curious girl; and that, at the moment, was a likeable trait, at least for Amelie. With any luck, the younger girl would be able to take all the answers without getting overwhelmed. And if she did… it was mostly her fault.

Honestly, the fact that she wouldn't be in the same class as either of the girls did not seem to bother Odette much, if at all. "That is fine. I simply want to know what going one's like for now." She was definitely planning on grabbing a better holosuit at some point. Maybe after she grew up a bit.
Because right now, she was way too weird to be in one that was as old as these nerds. Nonetheless, there was insight to be gleaned from the discussion of the two spirit wielders. At least, what was being said on the outside. She didn't have the ability to read minds. Or know what a spirit was saying. It was all based on what Honoka and Amelie spoke about.
"...It sounds like being a Spirit Wielder's one of the more strenuous kinds of...chosen you can be made. I do think that simply having a digivice doesn't make one a criminal. It is what is done that...makes one that. There's a lot that neither of us know and...a lot that is known. It's a very treacherous and precarious road you two walk..." Where did she lie there?
Hm.
