It was settled then. At some point they would have to sightsee and perhaps even help some of the locals out to make their name a little more known. Some of the older digimon remembered when Tsusagimon used to run the monastery, so word of mouth in the Isles was already on their side. "One thing I'm still kind of trying to figure out is how to approach the other cities to help with whatever they need. What should we even help with, I wonder..." He said, at a loss for many ideas at the moment.
He crossed his arms and thought about Makoto's question "Well they've opened their borders again for one. For the longest time they've apparently shut themselves off from the rest of the Digital World so they're still adjusting to the tourism you mentioned."
He did remember one particular event "...well I fought against...an awful, awful Digimon on the bridge by the name of Surtr. They were plaguing the Isles for some time and...their sheer malice and frightening cruelty was something I've never seen before. I had to do something regrettable to make sure he would never again stalk anywhere in the Digital World ever again. They were a threat beyond Mega, and vowed to come back to kill more innocents. I...did what I had to and took his data, as much as I promised myself I would never do such a thing."
"Toki..." Aylin said softly "You freed the data of so many Digimon with what you did. So many are now being reborn because of you. Even if you don't feel like you did, I think you did the right thing."
Toki sighed and rubbed the back of his head "Thank you, Aylin..." He said with a smile returning to his face. Makoto's further supportive words helped Toki feel a little better "It means a lot to hear that. Thank you very much." He bowed to them.
Toki and Aylin returned to their respective cooking duties. Soon enough they would all have a great meal to enjoy together "Anywhere in particular you'd all like to eat? We can go to the dining room, the tea room, or enjoy our meals outside. Whatever you all would prefer."

More information for shade to process. The capital city of Blossom Isles being called Sakura Vale. His eyes slid to makoto as they did; his body language didn’t change all too much but it was obvious he was intensely curious about it. He’d scratch at his head thoughtfully; maybe it’d be good for him to experience a city that wasn’t whitewater. Given that place felt like a tomb to him.
”Shade hopes so… He also doesn’t really know what cities need. Always living on the edge of them. Maybe look to what each city has and what you’re able to provide?”
Shade wasn’t sure what more he could say regarding a place that he has never been; given that the only comparison he had was whitewater and the fact that the other cities were just distant memories or distant wonders… But he at least could give toki a little bit of advice. His own personal resource management was easy but thinking for larger groups wasn’t. His ears would flick and he’d glance to toki; curious about the answers to makoto’s questions.
He’d quietly assess the information that toki gave; as well as what Makoto told him. They both were very knowledgeable about different things it seemed. Maybe asking them more questions once he had them would be a good idea. Especially about the Red and his homeland. He’d dip his head in a nod as makoto told him that he could take his time.
”Technology is… odd still to shade. He’s not used to it.”
He’d admit and huff, working on the veggies as makoto worked on the other veggies and meat. His claws in this form were far sharper than what he could manage in the earlier forms and it was really hard to get used to it. He was worried about cutting into the countertop even through this cutting board.
”Is having the meat not cooked all the way through bad?”
He kept working on the veggies; gritting his teeth as it was getting harder as they grew smaller. This form wasn’t as precise it felt as the other forms but it was so much faster. So much stronger. He’d have to pause and think over what else toki had brought up.
The mon named Surtr. He had never heard of them before; but hearing how cruel they were and what they had claimed? And how strong they were? Shade gritted his teeth. He was still weak in the scope of the world; he could have been one of those individuals claimed by this Surtr if they had ever ran across one another. He’d bite his lower lip, sucking in a bit of air before getting back to cutting the veggies.
If toki was able to deal with threats like that perhaps he would have advice about how to fight others of that same malice; of that same hate. Perhaps he’d have advice about the red? It was an odd thought trying to fight those creatures…
”Outside would be pleasant. Plenty of places that we could enjoy this together. Maybe near some of those trees…?”

As Shade and Toki mused over what the group could provide for other cities, Makoto would ponder it over themself, as well. "Shade has a good point - asking around and seeing what civilians and the like think would never hurt. I also think that we should also consider what we can provide, and be good at providing." Makoto would soon point out, tapping their chin idly with a single claw. "No doubt, if there's those who are in need, us dears should do whatever we can to provide aid - but we especially shouldn't neglect the things we're good at doing, and capitalizing on that where we can. For example..."
Smiling over to Toki, Makoto would continue "Seeing as you're a Spirit User, I imagine your spirit - or spirits - are a great source of wisdom; and you yourself are quite the wise darling, too, as far as first impressions go. Monasteries, on top of that, are typically places for monks, priests, nuns, and the like - depending on one's religion - to live, as well as places for them and travelers to learn. I imagine that you and Aylin both would have many a lesson that you could teach visitors, and those who come here to join us. The world can never have enough education, after all, dear."
And glancing over to Shade, they would continue "And you yourself having lived out in the wilderness... I imagine you would be great at teaching others to survive in the wild, as well as how a tribal or feral digimon think - especially those of the Dark Area - to avoid conflicts with such digimon. On top of that, there's also how Toki and you discussed using your abilities to help digimon whom are suffering from trauma, and find peace."
"But in general, both of you are tough in your own rights. There's always a need for strong, good-hearted digimon; especially with how trouble seems to crop up one after another, nowadays. And we could all help teach other digimon to be strong, wise, and kind, themselves..." They'd add - though after a few moments, Makoto would softly conclude with a fond smile "... That all being said, though; sometimes a positive community is all that one might need, too."
As Shade commented on how odd technology was, though... Makoto would smile and pat the wolf digimon's back in a reassuring fashion. "We'll teach you the best we can - don't be afraid to ask questions, okay?" They'd reassure him, adding "I'm more than happy to help you acclimate however necessary,"
At the question of meat though, Makoto would hum a bit. "For a digimon like yourself, it'd likely not be the worst, as I imagine you've had to make do with whatever you could eat. In addition, it's worth considering that meat from our world doesn't necessarily run into all the same issues that meat from the human world does. However, it's still a good habit to make sure that meat - especially meats like chicken or pork - are cooked all the way through; because there's a risk of the meat making someone sick if it's not properly cooked, especially for more civilized digimon and humans."
"That being said though, some meats - like hamburger - you can let have a little bit rare; which is to say, that it's not completely cooked in the center, and so it looks a little pink in the middle. The important thing there, is making sure that it still got heated through, even if it's not completely cooked."
"But another thing worth considering, is that some ingredients cook at different rates; and typically, you wanna add the ingredients that cook slower first, and then the ingredients that cook faster later - that way, they're all properly cooked at around the same time. If you add all the ingredients in at the same time, you might risk the faster-cooking ingredients burning by the time everything is ready, or otherwise the slower-cooking ingredients being undercooked."
Which, speaking of ingredients... Once Shade was done with chopping the vegetables, and the meat was starting to look about right, Makoto would start adding those in - as well as rinsing the noodles, to add those in to the wok as well. "Pardon my ramblings though, darling; you're doing great, chopping and asking questions both." They'd praise Shade with a warm smile in his direction. "Once this is all nice and cooked, we'll have our yakisoba!"
in the meantime though, would come the subject of Surtr; something that would, admittedly, bring Makoto pause. It sounded like this Surtr was quite the fearsome digimon - and Toki seemed to have some uncertainties, over how he had to load the digimon upon defeating him. "... It's certainly a tough decision, isn't it?" Makoto would muse out loud. "Death has a far different meaning to us, than it does to humans - given that most of us are reborn, when we die. To be loaded, however, is typically a more permanent death; something more akin to how humans die."
"I think that it is a good thing that you hold regret over this decision - namely because that means that this is not something you chose to do lightly. That this was a tough choice that you made because you had to for the good of others - and not because it was the easiest route to take." Makoto spoke gently, somberly - casting the young man a sympathetic glance. "Whether or not this will be the last time you have to made such a decision is hard to say - let alone if next time may even have right or wrong decisions - but... I personally believe you chose well, this time around."
"And if you ever have those feelings of regret well up in the future, you're free to talk to me, darling." Makoto would state to Toki with a warm smile, before glancing to Aylin and Shade next, and addressing them as well "And both of you darlings, too, are free to talk to me if there's ever anything on your minds."
As cooking began to wrap up to a close though, Toki would ask about where everyone would like to eat - to which Shade suggested eating outside, underneath the trees. "That sounds like a wonderful idea, Shade darling." Makoto would agree, smiling as they put the finishing touches on the Yakisoba. "I'll get some trays and lids, so we can take this all outside."

Already Toki had a bit of an idea "I think the Blossom Isles could do with establishing trade with the rest of the world...imports and exports are a great way to get a feel for other cultures and form mutual connections." He said as he pondered how to help with that. For now though he would think on it more.
He thought about what Makoto had said about his spirits "Tsusagimon was very wise. There isn't a day that goes by where I'm not thankful for the wisdom and knowledge he passed on to me. I miss him dearly, but I know he's resting well now." He said with a sad smile. "Do you really think I could offer that kind of teaching here? I...I would like that, but I need time to think about it. I don't want to make a mistake or anything. Though I do want to tell people about my ideals and my dreams for the future. I want to teach them to be strong, body and mind. I've always believed true strength is one's spirit and integrity...their capacity for good and kindness. I do understand that we must be pragmatic from time to time, but a kind heart should still guide those actions."
A positive community...yes. That was the reason he formed this group in the first place. Somewhere people could feel safe and surrounded by those who care for them. "Yes...I want this place to be a beacon of hope. A safe haven for those who need it."
Toki was about to explain the importance of cooking meat all the way though, but Makoto was a step ahead of him. "Most forms of raw meat are especially dangerous for humans to eat. Could lead to a lot of sickness."
He sighed when they spoke of Surtr. He nodded "Mhm...the weight of a life is heavy. I don't take them lightly. It was clear though there was absolutely no reasoning with him. They were too far gone...too mad, too powerful. His death freed many lost Digimons' data, allowing them to be reborn at last. I will never kill simply because it would be easier to do so. The truest paths are the ones most difficult to walk. Thank you, Makoto."
Aylin smiled softly and wanted to brighten the mood "Okay then! If we're eating outside, let me grab a blanket to spread out over the grass." She said as she stepped away for a moment. When she came back, she had a large roll of fabric in her arms. The sight of her waddling around carrying something like that brought an adoring smile to Toki's face.
Soon it seemed everything was ready. He helped Makoto get the trays of food ready, arranging the curry in an appetizing manner "There's plenty for all of us, so don't be afraid to come back for seconds later." Then he began to fill the bread rolls with the yakisoba. The sauce seeped into the bread and he knew it was going to be delicious. Once everything was set he would help bring everything outside.
Aylin spread out the blanket and sat down while the others distributed food. One plate of curry, one helping of yakisoba bread, and one cup of tea for each. Once it was ready, Toki said "Alright everyone, dig in! Here's to a bright future for all of us." He said as he took a bite of the bread "Mm...so good...haven't had this in so long. Perfectly seasoned too..."
Aylin giggled as she tried some "Wow, no kidding...no wonder you like it so much!" She said as she continued to eat. "Thank you both, by the way...having you two around just...makes this place feel more alive already. We really appreciate it."
