Rumble in the Jungle - PLOT - MAX CAPACITY
|
Post by Vikaralamon on Aug 31, 2014 19:04:13 GMT
A rumble rippled through the jungle, smaller digimon fleeing from the source. The giant pig digimon, Vikarlamon was presently romping through the jungle, smashing aside and destroying all in his path. Smashed trees bled data, the trails rising towards the huge digimon. His though process was simple, smash everything, and he continued to bring forth a relentless charge, trampling and removing all that was in his way. He didn’t care what happened to be in front of him, Vikarlamon’s enormous size and thick hide was enough to prevent off of the terrain from actually having any real effect. It was a little hindrance, but nothing that he couldn’t handle.
He roared slightly, the sound bouncing around the surrounding area as he continued to push his rampage through the area. This all felt easy to him, the destruction was basically unopposed, and even if it was, he would simply crash his own way through, it was unlikely that there would be anything around that would be able to take him on. More trees snapped beneath his feet, a path being carved out as he passed. The invasion was well and truly starting, and the first blood, and honours would all go to him.
OOC: Thread entry closing in approx 24 hours, level will be determined at that point.
OOC again: Thread filled up quicker than I expected, locking from others joining now.

Show me your teeth, because you're a teddy beneath So just grin and bear it a while Just grin and bear it a while
A.J. ground her boots into the dirt and pressed on. Just one more step. Come on. Just one more step. And just as she was about to make that more step, she sighed and slid down the trunk of a tree. Panting, Patch came up beside her and collapsed on his belly. His tongue lolled out of his mouth like a dog's, but he couldn't help it. All this heat, and all of his fur.
A.J wiped her sweaty bangs back, but they flopped back down into her azure eyes. It seemed like ages ago that they had arrived in the Digital World in the Terminus Station. They had taken time to explore the city, but Patch had eventually found this boring. They had exited the city and crossed over never ending fields until this forest had came into view. Excitedly, Patch explained that this place seemed familiar, so of course she followed. He was the Digimon after all and knew more about this world than she did.
In all reality, this world wasn't all that different from her own, except, you know, all the strange creatures around. They had been in the city and the field, but it seemed now that they had entered this jungle, there weren't that many. Actually, it seemed eerily quiet.
That was when Patch's ears perked up and he sat up on all fours. Blinking his amber orbs, he tilted his head and sniffed. "Digimon," he whispered before latching onto the tree and scrampering upwards. A.J blinked and watched as he disappeared into the green foliage.
Up in the trees, he balanced himself on a thin branch and sniffed the air again. Narrowing his gaze, his sharp cat vision kicked in. A few trees in sight line seemed to sway, but there was no breeze. But they were moving faster and faster. A snap caught his attention and a rumble that was growing even louder. And then his own tree started swaying as the rumbling increased.

Of the many, many unfortunates to hear this war cry was the lowly Yaku. He had no weapons, nor Digimon, and as he heard the roar he shuddered softly, pondering briefly as to if it was roaring at him or at something else... as he looked around him he slowly came to dismissing this theory, but added it to many more reasons that he had to leave this jungle and find a village, it taking a slightly higher priority that finding food and water. He had returned to his business suit, although it was hot and heavy in this rainforest environment, it protected him from bugs and scratches of nature.
Eventually, Yaku came to a standstill, panting and heaving as he reached for his water bottle to take a drink. It was odd how much two weeks had changed him, before he'd have been panicking and scrambling for cover... now he knew he was in no immediate danger... or at least, any he could see... the moment that thought struck he began checking himself to see if any bugs or dangerous plants had started clinging to him, moaning worriedly.

As Ayaka and Mana ventured into this thick jungle, she reflected on how the Digiworld was indeed a wondrous place.
Granted, she had been here only one time before, but the possibility of reaching so many different kinds of places with only one Trailmon trip and some foot travelling was indeed something amazing. Okay, maybe's more than a little foot travelling, but those places were still way closer than anywhere she could go in Shibuya.
The idea of visiting this thick jungle was actually Ayaka's. She was ecstatic at the idea of visiting a such big and lush green space that Mana couldn't just deny her request.
She had to admit that the place itself wasn’t half bad, either. Maybe it was a little humid, but sweating, forest-traveling and physical exercise had been her partners since she was a little older than five, and Ayaka's expression was just priceless. Even though the sun was somewhat blocked by the treetops, she basked in the mere act of just being surrounded by the lush flora that surrounded them.
"So.. Ayaka. Why do you like these places so much? I know that you're like a plant and all that stuff, but I just can't get it" Mana asked as she sat in a nearby root and drank some of the Ramune she brought with her.
"It isn't the sun nor the environment, Miss Mana" the little Digimon began. "This place's just pulsing with life, it's like an enormous living and breathing organism. The sensation of life thriving is just... exhilarating"
Just as she finished saying that, a roar and a trampling sound started to echo around them, and Ayaka's expression turned upside down. It was now a mix between anger and sadness.
"Someone is making the jungle bleed... taking the flora's life without qualms or remorse. That... that is just unforgivable. We must stop whoever is doing this senseless slaughter, miss Mana. It's just wrong"
Having said that, Ayaka hurried deeper into the jungle. Mana didn't know where they were heading, but as the trampling sound grew louder she made a wild guess and suspected that Ayaka could feel where the damage was being done, and, after wiping the sweat from her forehead with her wristband, she stood up and followed her. They were helping the jungle after all, and Mana just couldn't refuse to help someone, or something, in this case.

((I just like to note that while Jimmy is technically ultimate, he only has access to his Champ spirit at this time.))
Well, Jimmy had to admit that it has been awhile since he has been in the Cipher Jungle. He wiped some sweat off his brow as he took a second to analysis where exactly they were at. "Are you sure we're going the right way?" Jimmy asked his Hawkmon companion (and guide) curiously.
"Are you doubting me?" Shin responded slightly annoyed.
"No. It just feels like it's taking us longer to reach Whitewater then last time."
"Don't worry. We should reach Whitewater before your little competition begins. For now we need to keep moving."
With that, the pair continued on there way. Yet everything proved to not be at peace as a thunderous roar rang throughout the jungle, and the ground below them began to shake. They then looked at each other as the same thought entered there heads.
"That's not a good sound." Shin exclaimed.
Jimmy nodded in agreement as he looked off in the direction of the roar. He knew he was going to hate himself for it, but he didn't have much choice. "Come on. It came from this way." Jimmy stated as he ran towards where he believed the giant digimon was at.
However, it didn't prove long before Shin overtook Jimmy and pointed him in the right direction saying, "While that maybe so, that thing seems to be heading in this direction." They both understood that whatever was causing these quakes was unlikely to be something friendly, and if they don't stop it, then who knows how much damage it could do to the jungle and the digimon who calls it home.

Alone, without her friends. Only Pawnchessmon beside her as her loyal companion. Actually, while that sounds totally moody, Karin is simply here for a walk. She wanted to sort her mind out a bit. Not that she have any problem lately, just a little bit silence is good. Grouping here and there make her rather felt out of the place. She's not used to that kind of atmosphere. Hopeless, totally hopeless.
"...Mistress, what would you gain by walking alone?"
"Solitude and... calmness I guess... Two is fine, but eight... is just too much. I'm sorry, I'm a loner afterall."
"Nothing of sort, Mistress. Please, rest easy. I'll accompany you as much as I needed."
Karin was about to say her thanks before suddenly a fierce battle cry resounded far yet really loudly from her position. She turned to her companion, who shivered slightly.
"What's that...?"
"...I have no idea, Mistress, but it sounds strong. Looking at that is not suggested, but..."
Data spurt out from fallen trees, a scary sight to behold. It's impossible for a Champion to do such level of damage... it must be a level higher, or at least two. If they're doomed, it's three level higher. Pawnchessmon turned to Karin, asking what they should do.
"...We'll go. We have no idea what that is, but it's best if we alerted nearby area of its attack if possible. Chessmon, keep close watch on it. Let's not get right on its field of vision."
"Yes, Mistress."
Karin took more circled path instead of direct one, hoping that it's somehow still on her level of ability to at least scout it.

Loitering around the jungle wasn’t exactly the duo’s idea of a good time. Nevertheless, here they were, wandering in the tepid maze of vines and thick foliage. They had begun to grow tired of clawing their way through, and Graedon, despite his ability to reach his ultimate form, did not feel entirely positive about digivolving and mowing a path through the trees. Sure, he’d be able to without any issue, but seeing as they were already in trouble with the local authorities he decided that creating that much of a ruckus was most unwise.
They continued well into the night before deciding to call it a day. Rummaging around, they found some roots, some plants, some fruits that kept their bellies full throughout the night. Slapping together some leaves, bark, and vines, they created a small shelter which they both curled up in for a decent sleep. Being some-what night owls, the two of them both slept well into the afternoon. Frankly, they would probably have slept longer if not for a thunderous boom and rumbling terra.
Shooting upright straight out of sleep, the Bearmon rapidly scaled a nearby tree. Not too far from them was an enormous boar digimon, stampeding wildly through the jungle. It was only a matter of time before it reached them. ”Rett, we gotta go!” rushed the rookie digimon, grabbing their supply of fruits and shoving them down his throat. He left a few for his tamer, but he knew that he would need energy if this thing got close to them. Puzzled and slightly groggy, the lawyer grumbled under his breath. But he knew that whatever it was, if something could get even Graedon so riled up, it must have been bad. Grabbing a fruit and taking a few bites, the tall man jumped to his feet, and the pair fled away from the commotion.
Dashing through the jungle proved to be challenging, with all the bumps and thick plant life, the limited visibility. Graedon’s ears twitched as they acted like radars, nearby footsteps and voices clashing with the quickly growing sound of the jungle being destroyed. He realized that they weren’t the only ones here, not the only ones running. They were part of a herd, and they were all fleeing together. As the bear looked backwards, trying to peg how far the rampaging digimon was, he failed to notice a familiar figure in front of him.
THUD
Graedon was on the ground, a familiar face in front of him. There was Tridori Yaku, the man he’d previously terrorized. He almost forgot about the fact that they were being chased by an unstoppable mass, an impish grin tugging on the corner of his lips. ”Well, well, well! Hellooooo sucker!” he laughed. But, his arrogant demeaned quickly vanished as Everett jogged by, grabbing his arm and pulling him forward. ”We don’t have time for this. You’d be wise to run this way, too.” the lawyer, though also previously malicious to this man, was sensible this time. Whatever games they had played before were irrelevant now, for right now they were in the path of destruction.
Continuing through the jungle, they realized something quite alarming. To their dismay, they were not at all fast enough to get away from the colossal monster. At this point, they were soon going to be backed into a corner, and it was just a matter of time before their flight response would do a 180, and they would be ready to fight. ”You know what? Forget it, what the hell are we doing?!” the fair-haired man stopped in his tracks, turning to his ursine partner. ”Graedon, what’re we being chumps for? You know what to do!” With a crooked smile, the Bearmon began to glow with light. ”Graedon chou shinka…” A blinding beam burst from the tamer’s digivice, and the rookie’s body grew immense. He too now towered far above them, his total height at 25 feet. His features developed, his muscles and anatomy shifting and sliding appropriately, his weapons slipping out as he boasted grisly claws from his fist. ”WaruMonzaemon!” despite his massive size, he was still smaller than the oncoming beastly pig. However, at least now he stood a chance.
”I smell BACON! roared the undead bruin digimon.

OOC Notes: Everyone can hit champion if they want to for this thread. Also, whenever Vikarlamon uses an attack or ability, a full description will be noted at the bottom of the thread.
The destructive rampage was ongoing, Vikarlamon crashing through the trees, wrecking everything by his sides. He was on a warpath, not really thinking heavily about what would happen when he did pop out the other side of the forest. Obviously, he’d probably just turn around, and carve another path, and another until the forest was nothing but rubble. His work was simple, but effective, the sheer size allowed for him to unleash huge amounts of damage to terrain with a little less effort than would be expected. It was fairly irrelevant anyway, he didn’t need much rest, and would just be able to destroy anything in his path. As he continued to chew through the forest, scents began to float to his nose. Human. He adjusted his path slightly, curving to the right in order to intercept the human, who was probably quite aware of his presence. He was pretty loud, but being loud was quite irrelevant when you where a juggernaut. The forest broken slightly, and he became aware of a giant teddy bear, and a couple of squishy humans. Oh how he would be rewarded for killing the humans. ”Tusked Rampage.” He roared out, the sound echoing around nearby, before lunging into a charge, energy being generated between his tusks, not really aiming or caring for the digimon, but instead going right for the humans.
OOC: Attacks; Tusked Rampage: Vikarlamon charges forth at his foe, generating an energy bolt between his tusk. The bolt will detonate for damage whenever it contacts a foe. Also cause I found it relevant www.youtube.com/watch?v=nendMLrpI-s

Show me your teeth, because you're a teddy beneath So just grin and bear it a while Just grin and bear it a while
A.J. was resting against the tree when the rumbling traveled up her body, vibrating her whole being. Baby blues snapped open and she shot up. Her head whipped side to side, raven locks flying, as she tried to locate the source of the shaking. Did the Digiworld experience earthquakes?
It seemed as if the shaking was growing and growing. The trees around them were swaying to and fro. The sounds of trees snapping and foliage being crushed exploded in her ears. A great shadow crossed over her vision, clouding what little sunlight filtered through the tree top. What she could describe as a giant tusked pig rambled towards as her a scream broke through her throat.
"AJ!" Patch screamed from his perch in the tree tops before he dove front paws first. "Mikemon shinka..." His fur and flesh burst open in a blinding light, limbs and torso elongated. Black pants rippled around his lower half and a sword hung from his belt. "Leomon!" he growled as he landed upright on two feet. He landed for two seconds, scooped the young girl up and flung himself forward just in time as the Vikaralamon continued smashing his way through the woods.
One second she was watching as a shadow of a foot descended on top of her, the next she was flying. Her hands fisted into a course ruff and blond hair whipped in her peripheral vision. She blinked and looked up, gasping at the lion-man holding her. Patch landed in a nearby tree that had yet to be decimated and looked down at his tamer. "A.J. it's okay, I just digivolved," he said, his voice so much rougher than his rookie's yet still holding a softness. A.J. just nodded. "I have to go now. This guy has to be stopped or the whole forest will be destroyed." There was a pain in his voice and A.J could tell that this place must be special to Patch somehow.
Before he could bound away again, she grasped at his furry forearm and shook her head. "Take me with you. We're in this together."
Patch offered a fanged smile and crouched so she could clamber up onto his back. Once she was secured, he dropped off the branch and flung himself into the forest once again.
When they had landed on the forest floor once again, A.J. slid off of Patch's back and blinked, taken aback by his sheer size. He had shot up to a height of seven feet or more. She offered him a shy smile and nodded. "Go get him tiger," she said, holding up her D3. Patch growled and flung himself forward after the Vikaralamon. "Fist of the Beast King!" he growled, hoping to land a hit on the giant pig's backside as he flew forward with a flaming fist.

"You!" Yaku shouted, unhappy that his tormentors had returned to him in such a large world. Of all the jungles, of all the wanderers, of all the jerks and inconsiderate bastards he had to run into it was the men who'd bankrupted him and nearly killed him in the process. "I should gi-" He saw them running away, and at their advice and the rumbling growing closer, he decided this was a duel worth fighting another day. Grabbing his suitcase and following the men, Yaku kept a firm grasp on his hair to avoid the embarrassment that would follow if it flew off. "What the hell did you two DO?!"
Now, Yaku was not a vulgar man, but as he hid behind his two enemies like a small child would behind his mother, that question wouldn't leave his mind. ...Until he saw WaruMonzaemon, that is. "I-I thought having to be saved by you two was bad enough... w-what's coming? What did you two do? W-why did he have to turn into THAT?" The irony of this situation was not lost on the businessman, but he would much rather be pummeled by two brutes than die by whatever scared them.

As Mana followed Ayaka through the forest, the rumbling sound grew louder, but she also heard something else… they seemed to be humanlike voices. She advanced a little until she saw two men in suits and a little bear running behind the taller one in the distance. Wait a second, she knew one of them! “Oi, Everett-san!” she tried to call him, at least until she saw the enormous piggy that was chasing them. Deciding that standing in the middle of the huge piggy’s rampage wasn’t the wisest of choices, she followed his trampling charge from the side, at least until Everett decided to stop and made his little bear evolve into a… well, a bigger, more fluffier bear. “Whoa, you’re amazing, Everett-san!” she exclaimed as she admired the bigger bear “And I thought that only your cooking was good! Bear-san is so cute!” As she said those words, the giant piggy seemed to be somewhat pissed off at the bear’s taunts and started charging toward the two people who looked like businessmen at the same time a lion head shaped fireball came directed to its fur. She couldn’t see if the attack did damage or not, but she could see a tall lion man in the distance. “Whoa! That lion guy looks cool too!” she exclaimed in his direction. It took all of Ayaka’s refinement to just not branchpalm at her partner’s antics. This girl was just a little too quirky. “Uh… Miss Mana” she tried to catch her attention “A giant boar is rampaging through the entire jungle, and you’re throwing compliments at everyone’s digimon? Don’t you think we should be getting ready, at the very least?” “But you didn’t say that you didn’t like fights or something like that?” she retorted “Yes, a lady shouldn’t get her hands dirty with a barbarian like this, and I won’t. But that doesn’t mean we cannot help these fine gentlemen out” she replied, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Alrighty! Let’s go then!” As she said those words, the Kodamon began shining brightly, her form growing and eventually being replaced with her more mature form. Now she was a Cherrimmon that was regarding her enemy calmly. “This digimon’s strong, miss Mana” the champion finally said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to take him down, but for your safety, I suggest you to take cover”. “You’re such a party, popper, Ayaka. Okay, I’ll try to be safe. Your only concern now should be giving him a hard time… or whatever you’re supposed to do”. “Actually, that’s pretty accurate, miss Mana” she said as her graceful steps began turning into a dance, and that dance began painting whitish clouds on the sky. Not even ten seconds had passed, and the unnatural hail started to rain on the otherwise tropical jungle. Ayaka didn’t know to which extent the weather would affect the boar due to its thick hide, but at least it would impair its vision and provide some kind of cover to the digimon fighting it. And as Mana looked for somewhere to hide, she could only but gasp at her partner's powers.

As the pair neared Vikarlamon, they noticed that the weather had drastically changed. From what was a pretty warm day, to a sudden hailstorm. Jimmy and Shin ignored the cold however as they continued running. It wasn't long before they saw the silhouettes of Vikarlamon charging what seemed to be a few humans through the hailstorm. It was notable that it seemed he was doing this even though he was under attack by a few digimon.
"Shoot." Jimmy cursed under his breath as he saw the scene, "I guess that means there's no chance of negotiating with it then." He then looked over towards Shin, hopeful that the Hawkmom would have an idea of what they should do.
"Well, I guess one of us is going to have to distract him while the other tries to convince the humans out of sight." Shin advised with a sigh as he knew which part he had to play.
Jimmy sighed as well as he knew which part of Shin's plan he had to play as well. He didn't like the idea of playing bait, but understood the reasoning behind it. Not only was Jimmy more capable of fighting this thing, it was also apparent that it was currently specifically targeting humans. Well, here goes nothing.
"HEY! Big Nose!" Jimmy shouted as he picked up a rock and threw it at Vikarlamon, "Easy pickings over here. Come get me." Jimmy started jumping, waving, shouting, and just about everything he could think of in an attempt to get Vikarlamon. He wasn't sure if it would work, but hopefully the thought of a human offering himself up to Vikarlamon would prove to be to tempting of an offer for Vikarlamon refuse.
Notably, Shin had went off ahead to head towards where everyone else was at during this time.

Karin saw the battle has already began. A gigantic Warumonzaemon has appeared. Instantly, the blond haired Tamer associated it with the crooked suited guy. God****it, last thing she want is that guy around! But since they're antagonistic to that beast, probably this time they can work together well. If it has come to this, fighting sooner or later cannot be avoided.
Karin hastened her pace to the creature's backside and found a girl carried by a muscular lion man. Another Digimon. Two pairs against this monstrosity. If this is just the number, then what can she do when her Digimon is merely a Rookie? Karin run faster to the other side, hoping to find at least some survivors. She never felt as hopeless as this. Ultimate, even if she have a Rookie it's almost impossible if she doesn't have any sense of teamwork with the other two.
Just as she laments her state, she saw a Falcomon flying nearby. Catching its attention like this is dangerous as it'll alert the Vikalaramon. Karin decided to follow it.

Warumonzaemon watched as the colossal swine ignored its digital foes, clearly having his own agenda. It immediately dawned on him that his tamer was in its direct line of fire. He knew there were other digimon around, but it seemed as though none of them would be of much help. It would be much too late for Everett to dash out of the way, considering the pig’s sheer size. He had only one option, he had to shield the human.
Rapidly he stepped in front of the fleshy beings, the gap in his gut growing in size. Graedon briskly released a massive heart-shaped bubble of thick goop, spanning 30ft in size. This technique was dubbed heart breaker, though ironically it would be what would save the life of his tamer. ”Get away Rett!” he exclaimed as he braced himself behind the bubble. WaruMonzaemon used his body to do his best to back it up, and while this attack was strong enough to deflect up to two ultimate level attacks, he knew it would most likely pop right after this. The Vikaralamon was packing an enormous punch coupled with an energetic blast. He anticipated that the bubble would bounce the pig’s energy offense back in his own face, and the elastic cushion would be enough to slow him down before he’d do his best to physically hold the giant off, even if just for moments.
Graedon knew that the bubble barrier, despite its durability, wouldn’t stop the enemy in his tracks. He knew that he would have to fight hard and brace powerfully to be able to buy enough time for the humans to get out of the way, and possibly even that he’d get hurt once the boar digimon regrouped himself. But for now, it would hopefully be enough to stall him; his own attack blowing up in his face followed by a double barrier… sounded like they would stand a chance if it worked as it should. Hopefully, the other digimons standing by would take the opportunity to start attacking him directly if he were held up at all.

Vikarlamon continued his charge, somewhat disappointed by the choice of the Warumonzaemon to intercept his charge. He collided hard with the other digimon, energy dissipating into the bubble, and he continued to pressure the other digimon, pushing forwards with his mass. He hadn’t really noticed the attack of the Leomon, the fist landing somewhere in his rear, singing fur and a little hide, but otherwise not being particularly effective. The amount of humans around his was confusing, it was like pigs to a slaughter. Oh and it would be a slaughter, he was sure of that.
Breaking off from the charge into the Warumonzaemon, he sniffed around, nose being a far more effective way to sense things than looking for a digimon such as him. So many humans, so many directions. And that one shouting at him, Jimmy. Red glistened across his eyes, at the large digimon charged again.
”Thunderous Crash.” He called out, the sound echoing around the trees as he proceeded on his charge. A couple of metres from his target, Vikarlamon hopped into the air, before landing, a shockwave being produced in all direction, extending rapidly. This was sure to hopefully catch out one of the squishy humans at least. He was pretty sure about that.
OOC: Thunderous Crash: Vikarlamon halts his charge just short of his target, instead hopping into the air, and landing producing a shockwave which travels in all directions
