I've been juggling with the idea for quite a while, but it's time I moved on. The board's turned ever more boring, and I got better things to devote my time into.
I think this is a sinking ship, but who knows. Maybe it will stay like this, with minimal activity, or maybe it will die out at some point. But I know for sure it will never be like it used to. Staff is too adamant, too elitist to allow people to help, to take suggestions seriously. It's funny how some people are treated better than others because they are popular or whatever. How staff is kept despite their total absence - how a member is restored back to staff when they decide to come back after several months without any questions asked. Tf are you guys thinking? Things are slow enough as it is, let people help, it's not like they'll take away your 'precious'. At least most of the corruption is gone, but what remains is an utter lack of indifference and "I know better" attitude.
I'm not saying all staff are like this, I can say Sephi is a pretty awesome guy. Jun was an excellent staff person, and Ferrero, as well.
But anyway. There's virtually nothing to do here but write up stories with each other. That's pretty much the only good thing here. Plot? Plot is a railroaded fiasco. You guys are utterly missing the point of plot. Plot is about having people participate, to make it fun for them, not go on a ego trip. I understand the need for the bad guy to survive, but you guys utterly suck at balancing things out. Plot should have some kind of finale and progression to it, but remain reasonably flexible, so it is shaped according to the members. Baddies should be powerful and clever, but not pull out BS when things get tough, or when a member is clever enough.
What's the point of getting super mega if your 'power' is ignored? What's the point of planning a feasible strategy if the baddie just pulls out a bullshit hat trick? Members should be rewarded for thinking outside the box, for being clever, etc. Not minimize their efforts. I'm not saying to allow us to kill the baddie if you still need him, I'm saying you need to improvise and not disregard a member's writing. The baddie got hit by a pretty nice attack or messed up and got caught in something? Fine. He is not immortal. Have him escape, have him learn and prepare for the next fight. Fighting omnipotent/omniscient opponents is boring and cliche. Bs'ing is only an excuse for your incompetence in handling plot.
Oh, but if any of the more 'popular buddy' people posts and does something, it seems to have a better chance at the very least. Have someone like me try to stir up some activity in the form of a subplot and it's an uphill battle of nope. But hey, have a buddy buddy person think up whatever bs subplot of self-glorifying proportions and it will happen! Heck, I wonder how the Luminas event would've turned out if it was Sci in my place or perhaps Thunder, or some other popular member. No offense towards you lot, if you are offended, then I'm sorry you could not see beyond my point.
Another example was Hakai - despite their clearly shady ways, certain staff were so buddy buddy with them that they were allowed to get away with a lot of things. It was only after personal attacks to STAFF that they were banned(never mind that they constantly harassed members, staff didn't care then), to then be brought back, to have the same shit happen, to have the same outcome. It didn't stop until another admin was targeted. But before that happened, they took over areas, they did this and that - they destroyed an area, massacred another, all with cooperation from staff(I remember quite vividly getting chastised by an admin because one of Hakai's goons was harassing me. The harassment was apparently not such a bad thing, me attempting to ridicule the goon was) . But staff will not give a more legit team the time of day despite our intention to encourage activity, not only for the 10 or so members I had, but for the other people planning to join either against us or just as neutral parties.
Heck, I came to Luminas knowing I would not win. I hoped I could kill at least a Royal Knight for awesome's sake, but I knew I wouldn't stand a chance against Ygdrassil. I was even worried about directly touching the Origin of Light and how that would affect my character, I knew I could potentially die, and I had several scenarios in mind regarding that. I spent a good while writing here and there, explaining IC how Majin would gather the resources and use his own to amass his small army. He had a reason to attack, although probably not the best, but still. We planned it, and we went out of our way to make it feasible - we infiltrated, set traps, etc. it wasn't a direct assault, it was a series of consecutive actions designed to deal with the multiple forces. I still think a reasonable amount of activity could have arisen from this - Luminas could've sent an SOS to other tamers, or after Vexus escaping, a bounty would be placed in their heads, or a live broadcast could've been shown, making everyone go against the 'evil' team. But nothing happened. Staff blatantly ignored the subplot. People dropped out, and for a while we had someone willing to mod us, and I thank him for that. Until said person wanted to shape it all up to how HE wanted it to be and not what we planned. I gotta give him some credit, though. Despite the shortcomings, the level of bs'ing in the subplot was minimal compared to the recent ones.
It's been frustrating that some members do notice some stuff going on but they won't talk about it. They can mention it on chat if asked, but they will not post about it. Why? Do they lack the courage to express their concerns? Do they not care? I don't know, I just know I can't go on like that. I know people will keep leaving as they have before. A lot of good members have left, some for other reasons, some for this. I know for a fact several I spoke with did because of these things. I will not mention names, as they neglected to talk about it here, or only did minimally, so I will not drag them in further. Good members will keep leaving, but hey, noobies will probably keep joining if you bother to accept them... in less than a month.
I meant to change things by becoming staff, to somehow rid the board of bias, but I realize it's an impossible task as long as some remain in power. So I end my rant with this; keep catering to your buddies. Everyone else will just be second class members.
I'd like to say I will miss this, but I won't. It turned from a place I couldn't wait to get in to read our stories, to a place I would get in and check if my stuff is deemed right or wrong by staff that is horrifyingly inconsistent with their bs unwritten rules.
Majin, out.
PD - I'm not perfect either, and that's fine. Go ahead and say what you will, I don't care anymore.

To my friends, I wish you the best in life. You can reach me by skype, or FB. I want to give my posts and bits to Yuu and Erts. I'd like to give all 12 of my acquired Mercs to Panzer. I wish I could give Shadow to someone, but it probably won't be allowed; so Panz, keep him around as an NPC at least, k? Majin will just be killed or simply disappear.
