[PotT 1] The Age of Erika!

“It is, isn’t it?” The innkeeper seemed a bit pleased from Kon praising his drink. “I made that liquor myself. It’s kind of what makes our inn popular. Good alcohol for very low prices.” His smile changed into a slightly annoyed frown as he seemed to think about something. “For some reason, some people insist on going to that old place though…”
Again, the ogre acquired a happy countenance when the pirate asked for more of those. “Coming right up!” He began to pour some more liquor for the pair, sliding it over the table to serve them. “Originally, this island was known for its research lab. It’s located at the top of the hill at the outsides of the city. Some used to come here to see the results of the researches in deep-sea conducted by the scientists. Almost as if it were a museum too. As you may know, not many digimon care about science, though. So we definitely weren’t as crowded as we've been these last days.”
“We aren’t quite sure of what’s causing that, though…”The Gabumon shyly muttered as he cleaned the counter.
“I think it might have something to do with the Research Lab being closed down by the Navy some days ago. It’s like now everyone is interested in what they might have found out.”
Of course, that brought a whole lot of questions to the table.
Now, the innkeeper turned towards Fuu. “Yeah. They got here around three days ago. They built those headquarters extremely fast. Not surprised, though. They have the right digimon to do it.”
“But they still have not been able to finish all of the bedrooms, so that’s why some of them are…”
“Morning.”
The voice of a digimon interrupted the Gabumon. Two Muchomon had arrived.
“We’re here to clean up the rooms.” Each of them was carrying a bucket with some cleaning utensils inside.
“Oh. You’re here.” The Fugamon lifted a small door at the front side of the counter to get out. “You just have to go up the stairs. Most of the rooms are empty right now, so you can clean with no trouble.” Then, he turned his gaze at the dragons. “I’m sorry gals, I have to go run some errands. Gabumon will be in charge for now.” After throwing his apron to the horned digimon, the innkeeper left through the main door.
“We’ll go up to start cleaning, then.”
The red penguins also took their leave. Gabumon remained quiet, standing behind the counter, just staring at the pirates, sweating a little. Was he… shy?
What should the duo do now? So many possible choices…
“Yes! A drink going your way!” The little girl took around three or four bottles and just mixed them up in a jar. Then, she turned to give that to the sword-spitting dragon.
Unless Bu would be fine with drinking pretty much anything, she would probably find this drink a bit… ugh. Definitely not very good. Its degree of alcohol was high, which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It was just that, as a cocktail, its taste was not optimal. Kyo was definitely not an expert bartender. However, the short-haired girl showed a huge grin, looking very proud of her work.
Both Kyos beamed upon seeing Koharu get closer to pat them, even over the counter. They seemed extremely satisfied with this.
“Haru-chan! I’m glad you’re feeling better.”
“You’re the best.” Both the digimon and the girl said respectively. Thanks to Haru, their arguing seemed to be over, at least until Warg threw another question their way.
“Not at all!” Kyo, the Plotmon, shook her head intensively. “She’s just an impostor.” She now nodded pretty confident, showing a conceited smile.
“I am not!”
This was just never over, huh?
Somewhere around the bar, the group could listen to someone containing their laughter. Was it a feminine voice? It was as if they were stiffing a quiet laugh behind their hand, trying to contain themselves.
Had the crew fell right into a trap?

Well aren't these some juicy info? Kon-chan let out an interested 'hmm' sound. She sipped the drink like a classy woman she is (ha).
"Why do you think people prefer to go there? I mean, from the outside it looked like it's dinky and old, doesn't it just look rather unappealing?" she asked. "If you ask me, it's seem to make more sense for people to come here rather than there...
Hmmm, so the island is a research lab... yes, she remembered about the location of the building and all that... Elecmon is working there and all that. "Interesting, a museum? So the lab was open to public int he past?" It's apparently closed by the Navy now. Pity. Something is definitely afoot if the navy closed it. "Sounds like people began sniffing because the Navy closed it then."
She took another sip of the drink, enjoying the taste.
Three days ago...? She tried to dig her memory. it can't be coincidence. Is it close to the time the Elecmon gone missing? Either way, the conjecture is leading there at the moment. However, something interested her... What was this about the bed? Don't tell her some of these navies are staying in this place?
Once she saw that the people from the office gone up to upstairs and the master left, Kon-chan looked at her empty cup, then at the Gabumon. The SWAT Dragon smiled at him.
"Hey, there, mind serving me some more of this drink? Why don't we drink together, hmm? Drinking alone is boring, my friend is lightweight you see." Kon-chan internally not sure what the fuck is she doing, but she's using her friend Freya as reference. She wanted to make the Gabumon loosen up enough to wring him dry of information.
...Warg cannot say that the lil girl Kyo know how to concoct a drink. Come to think of it, does Kyo even drink? He know that Yuu does, but he forgot if Kyo does drink or not... that was one hell of a mix though. The bickering never ends. While Koharu is busy calming the two of them with "now now", Warg instead looked at the source of the voice...
"...Bu, maybe it's best if we talk to other at the moment. Maybe let Anego deal with the two Kyos...Guilmon, Tinkermon? Up to you. I'm going to approach who's laughing." Warg told the armor wearing dragon.

See, the prospect of homemade alcohol for low prices did strike Fuu as something that would be a rather strong point in the favor of the inn. Of course...She could also see why people'd be interested in old places. Was it haunted or something? Or... "...Maybe the Navy found some heinous research being done and decided to just shut it all down."
...It shouldn't surprise Fuu that those Digimon could work fast. They had to get in, set up shop quickly, and likely be able to get out just as fast. Plus...when did Elecmon go missing again? Upon being left with the Gabumon, Fuu glanced towards him. Huh, maybe...he was a bit like her. "...Hi. How's your day going?"
This was going to be disastrous. But if she could establish some sort of rapport... Bu took the drink offered, had a sip, and...Oh god.
This was so abominable that she had only one real way of describing it. It's shit. It's just shit. Sure, it had alcohol, but it was just utterly terrible. She forced a smile towards Kyo. "V-Very good!" Oh god, please just let her get away from this hellspawn of a drink. Warg, consequently did not need to tell her twice what he was going to do. She turned towards the sound of the laughter, and proceeded right towards it after she politely set the hellish cocktail down.
Whether Warg followed or not was entirely up to him. Thankfully, though, he was. Approaching this alone would've been quite bad.

While it was true the comments Fugamon had issued had certainly raised some more questions, he was gone now. The digimon from the Administration Offices were also out of sight, and the pair of pirates was only left with a very flustered Gabumon. Why flustered? Kon was asking to drink with him!
“Y-You want to drink w-with… me?” He stuttered. “I mean… I…” Boy, was he nervous. “I have never drunk before!” Which, considering he worked at the bar of an inn, was… very weird. “I-I mean… I guess I could, but…” One could say he was a bit fazed at Kon’s flirting, but he wasn’t completely against it. No, it was not too hard to tell he was just nervous, although he liked it.
Now, the horned digimon turned his head towards the adorable Dorumon. “It was… okay.” He muttered. “It’s pretty crowded, so that’s extra work, I guess.” His answer was plain, but he also seemed very pleased Fuu was actually interested in how he was doing. “H-How… have you… b-been?”
It seemed like the duo would have to decide if they wanted to take Kon's flirty approach or Fuu’s nice, caring way. Why did they have to decide on one or the other? As to many questions that could arise during this adventure, the answer was…
ERIKA!
“Girls!” The pink-haired pirate jumped from behind the two of them, wrapping her arms around her crewmates to whisper something. “Listen, this is bad. This is really bad. I was gathering some info around, and there is someone in this town. Someone I really don’t want to bump into.” With a sweat drop and a shiver, Erika punctuated that sentence. “Trust me, girls. She is way worse than the navy. We have to finish this quickly.” The crew had never seen Erika actually scared of something, until right now. Who could she possibly be talking about?
Raising her gaze, she looked at the Gabumon at the bar, who just stared at back her. “Do you think you can get some info from him?” She asked the girls, whispering, making sure he could not hear them. “If you think you might, I’m willing to let one of you stay here. The other one must come with me to the Research Lab. The one who stays must meet us there with the information she finds. So, what is it going to be?”
Was the cute Fuu staying with the Gabumon? Or maybe Kon in her never-seen-before flirty version? Or, maybe, the pelted digimon was not worth it, and they should move towards the research lab together?
The events that were about to take place in the Aftermath would change the course of this mission. No, the course of this adventure as a whole was about to be shaken up.
As the laughter got louder, it was easy for Bu and Warg to tell where it was coming from: That lonely, poorly-illuminated corner at the bar where the pirate Tinkermon was at. Even if she tried to contain herself, she couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Her legs were laying on top of the table, which was otherwise covered by empty beer glasses, and she was leaning back on her chair.
“Oh my…” She tried to speak between her laughter. “… I just… c-can’t! This is… so funny!” Her arms wrapped around her belly, the pirate kept laughing frenetically. “I love this, Kuru!”
The sound of a door opening by the western side of the bar made the Tinkermon open her eyes and stop laughing for a second. Once she recovered, he issued a question.
“So? Did you find anything?”
“It’s done. We know where he is. I think there is something at the Research Lab, but we might not have the time to look for it.” Despite the poor illumination of the establishment, both Warg and Bu would be able to see a Zamielmon talking to the pirate from the door. He looked bulky, very serious, and not friendly at all. His attire was also mainly red, a bit different from a regular member of its species.
“Frenzy!” The fairy, who had a very feminine voice, clapped twice. “That’s marvelous!” Quickly, she seemed to be ready to tell her partner about what had just occurred. “Now, you should have seen what just…” She started telling the tale of what she had just witnessed, snickering.
“There’s a problem, though.” The male digimon, who had a very deep voice, interrupted the girl.
The female pirate tilted her head. Before she could utter any question, a roar echoed through the Aftermath. Someone had taken down the main door.
“This is the Navy! Everyone freeze!” At the head of a group of Hyagomon, an Octomon entered the bar.
“That's what I meant.”
Immediately, the octopus’ eyes scanned the whole establishment, stopping at the Tinkermon.
“Treasure Hunter, Barbara. You and all of the Chaos Pirates are under arrest! The rest of the clients will be taken for questioning, so please stay still.”
“RUN!”
The female pirate had not even finished shouting this when a cloud of smoke had already covered the place. It was a smokescreen. Although the Pirates of The Treasure probably could not see much, it was obvious everyone at the bar were running in different directions.
What should they do? Try to follow anyone or just go on their own? What should their next destination be? It was clear they had to escape from the navy, first and foremost!
Things had gotten a lot more complicated. Very quickly.

"Drinking on the job is unprofessional, you mean? Well, just grab any juice then, it's fine. I just want companion to talk with," Kon-chan commented. She sipped her drink once more. "Drinking alone is lonely, and drinking with companion is better."
Hmmm, so looks like there's something that's happening eh? Kon-chan turned to Fuu and nudged her head at the captain, like telling her that she'll handle the information gathering in this place. She should go with the captain, and honestly? She just want to relax a bit.
"...So, is the Navy somehow renting in this place or something?" Kon-chan asked. "Hearing about the thing with your boss... And also just between you and me, I'm not used to flirting, hah hah~ I'm trying to play it cool, but looks like I blew up my chances, huh?"
Kon-chan's previously flirty expression mellowed out to softer, gentler smile.
it's at this time that she heard something from Koharu's human-digimon communication device. Something in the research lab? Gotta ask something about that too... later, that is. Let's not overwhelm the Gabumon.
...mmm, Warg doesn't like this the slightest. Honestly, with the appearance of another rival character... and with mystery of double Kyo... it made his head hurts, but all he want to do for now? And there is the appearance of the navy. Fuck his life. The moment the smoke screen goes on, Koharu immediately activated her D-Nexus' mapping. She found Warg, who quickly grabbed her hand.
"Bu, let's bail," Warg suggested in low, hushed voice "I don't think asking the two Kyos would be productive... Anego, don't make that face. I know you want to know more about your past, but now is not the time. We're treading unknown waters. If they're illusion of the past, then whoever behind them knows everything about us. As long as we're looking for Astrivia, we might be able to find way to restore your memories.
We'll chase after that twinkletoes."
"Alright..." Koharu looked disappointed, but indeed, she cannot be selfish. Warg ran after Barbara, or what he assumed to be direction she is going to, but not before exhaling smog of his own to make the chasing navy harder to find them. White make it easier to see silhouette, but black? Now they're going to have problem.
Warg used Disruptive Smog (RAM Upgrade) Warg breathes out smog (which is useless against Kon-chan). For three turns: Deal minor damage (coughing) and obscure vision. The minor damage can be negated with proper air filtration system. 25 meter radius. 3 turns duration 2 turns cooldown.

"It's been nice. I've been making new friends and getting to know people better, compounded upon a pretty nice island. So...I'd say I'm doing quite well, though my friend seems more interested in talking to you, so...Um. I'll let her have her piece." Fuu nodded, with a smile.
Good thing Kon had nudged her, too, it meant that she was definitely in the clear to help Erika out with her problem. "...I can only imagine this character to be absolute trouble if even you don't want to deal with them. I'll head over there with you while Kon stays with Gabumon." The Dorumon decided, ready to follow Erika at a moment's notice. And in an instant, the cops had shown up. Well, not the cops, but the Navy, and a thick barrier of smoke obscured practically everything in the room. Bu immediately reached out to grab Warg's claw so she didn't lose him or Koharu. "We'll get...nothing from the Kyos. We need to catch that fairy, wherever she might be." The Ryudamon growled as she hurried after the two in an attempt to figure out which direction Barbara headed, so that they could pursue the fairy!
She also had to hold her breath. Smog ain't fun.

As he seemed to be used to doing, the Gabumon quickly accepted the way things were going to be. He would stay with the female Commandramon, who seemed to have a definitely more… assertive approach. He waved his goodbyes at Fuu as she and Erika rushed out of the inn through a door at its northern side.
“N-No, it’s fine. I guess I can… drink alcohol.” The horned digimon looked at one of the glasses Fugamon had served for the dragons and took a sip. He wrinkled his face. This was definitely not for him. Still, he went on with it, continuing with the conversation.
“Yes.” He answered, his eyes slightly going to the upper floor for a second. “They rented a couple of rooms since their headquarters are still not fully completed and they just needed to start working.” Not too different from the piece of insight the ogre had provided. Just when he seemed to have gotten a bit of calm, the Gabumon got all flustered just from hearing Kon’s next comment.
“Y-Y-You were… Flirting?” He was blushing madly. “Y-You are not serious are you?” His eyes widened while he took a couple of steps back. “N-No! It's not like that! It’s just that…” His gaze escaped the pirate’s for a second, looking somewhere else. “… w-why would you flirt with… me?”
If Barbara liked chaos… she was probably having a blast right now!
As soon as the pirates started escaping through the back door of The Aftermath, the rest of the clients (who admittedly were probably in some sort of shady business too, even if not related to this case) had started jumping off the windows, going pretty much in all directions.
With the Hyagomons coughing behind him, the Octomon issued an order. “I’ll call reinforcements to get the clients. Our priority is the Chaos Pirates! Get them!” A couple of Hyagomon jumped up front, trying to locate their target. Once they did, Barbara and the Zamielmon had already left, but they were able to catch a glance of Koharu, Bu, and Warg making a run for it through the back. A spear was shot their way, barely missing and getting stuck on the wooden wall.
Once they were out of the bar, the Pirates of the Treasure would be able to easily spot Barbara and Zamielmon, taking a turn into an alley, keeping themselves away from the streets. Warg’s own smokescreen would help keep the chasing navy soldiers behind for a while.
It was not like keeping up with the Chaos Pirates was really difficult, though. Barbara's laughter could be heard blocks away! She was actually having a blast.
After going through three or four back alleys (it was hard to keep count in this situation) both the Tinkermon and the Zamielmon stopped, taking a moment to breathe, the fairy laughing her lungs off the whole time.
Zamielmon looked around, looking for something. Or rather… someone. “Where are Black and Blue?” He asked.
Now that Barbara seemed to finally be calming down (thanks to the temporary absence of chaos), she managed to give a clear answer, not before taking her own look around. “Gets me, Kuru! They probably ran off somewhere else.” She issued a simple shrug.
“I told them to stay close.”
It was then when the blonde noticed the two digimon from before had actually followed them! And they had brought a human, too!
Staring at them for a second or two, she quirked an eyebrow. She then walked towards them, moving her hips in a very distinctive manner. Once she was close enough, she leaned forward, placing both hands around her waist.
“Why the hell did you follow us, Kuru!? Don’t you have anything else to do?”
She seemed to know who they were.
Meanwhile, Fuu and Erika headed towards the Research Lab. It was honestly not very hard to spot. They could see the building on top of the only hill the layout of the town had to offer.
“Let’s go! They’re at The Aftermath!”
A group of Hyagomon went by them, heading west.
“Navy soldiers…” Erika muttered, her eyes widening. Looking a tad scared, she turned towards the Dorumon.
“Did they say... The Aftermath?”That was the original destination of the other part of their crew, wasn’t it?
“You don't think they…?”
Oh god…

"Hmmm? Why? Isn't that a strange question? Can't a lady think that you're cute and worth trying to flirt with?" Kon-chan's word is simple, yet at the same time there is indeed some truth in there. Perhaps she's being a bit affected by the lovey dovey couple back home? Either way....
"Sadly date have to come later. As much as I'm interested to know you more, my book have to come first you see... Can't really write a nice book about the island when the navy is around. Maybe if they go away... there might be some hope? Say do you know what sort of things that the Navy is looking for in the lab or something? Like, do you hear 'em saying anything at all about what they're doing here and all that? Juicy rumors and whatnot? Usually readers love those sort of things, you know... to explore more of the island so to say."
Running after Barbara was worth it. It's hard to say what's going on. Either way, Koharu's history in track and field club is still doing her justice it seems. She managed to run, run and run. Albeit a bit tired, she's not so winded that she have to heave for oxygen when she found the two of them.
"Don't you know? Following other Pirate with similar goal is probably the best way of getting what we want. I assume you have some sort of information, don't you? And considering that you know something about us but we're know none of you... it seem that you know something?" Warg commented.

Was pursuing a fairy really the right course of action in this situation? Well, when one considered the purpose behind the actions taken, that being to gather information, it wasn't too hard not to blame Bu for thinking this was a good idea. Thankfully, that spear thrown at the group's way didn't strike any of them.
Bu was good at chasing people down, all things considered. Even with the armor weighing her down some, she was able to keep up with her comrades as they cut through a few back alleys. On actually catching up with them, Bu added onto Warg's words. "You obviously know more about whatever the hell that was back there than we do, so we want answers!"
...They weren't good words to add on. "...There's a strong chance." Fuu replied to Erika. Oddly, she was able to mask a growing fear with an air of...calm. She didn't want to know what her sister, Warg and Koharu had been up to to warrant a visit from the navy. "...Do we keep going to the lab or follow the Hyogamon...? I'm a bit worried for Bu, but...It could be nothing, right? We only just got here, they can't possibly know who we are...Um..."
Was Fuu leaving this decision to the captain? Maybe. She definitely seemed unsure of what to do. The Research Lab -was- right there. She glanced towards the lab then back towards the direction the Hyogamon went off in, before she returned her gaze to the lab. "...We should make this quick if we're staying here."

"W-Well... Y-Yes... Of course, you can but..." Had a Gabumon been this nervous before? Probably not. "... no one had ever thought I was cute before..." The horned digimon frolicked with his claws nervously, while he desperately tried to look away from Kon's eyes. Was he trying to say something?
"I - t-t-think you are... Hnn..." He muttered, before being interrupted by the Commandramons inquiries. Now that the topic had drifted away from the flirting, he seemed a bit less desperate. Although he kept acting very shyly.
"Well... They do hang around the inn a lot. They don't like to be in the Aftermath. Probably because there are all kinds of shady businesses happening in there." A claw on his chin, the digimon mused about this. "I've heard some of them mention something about finding Mr. Elecmon. Which honestly makes sense, considering they got here right when he disappeared. But..." Although he hesitated for a second or two about issuing his next sentence, he finally decided to do it.
"... I can't help but feel they are more interested in who might have kidnapped him than actually saving Mr. Elecmon. It's like... Mr. Elecmon knew something whoever might have kidnapped him should not find about."
Then, the Gabumon added something else. "I'm sorry. That's just my opinion... I'm... Not very good at saying what I think. I don't want people to judge me" A short pause. "... y-you seem... N-nice, though." Maybe this had been Kon's flirting paying off?
"Ha!" This sound was so loud coming out of Barbara that it clearly conveyed how ridiculous she felt the statement coming from the Pirates of the Treasure was. "You want answers? I don't answer to no one but my captain, honey!" She promptly added, moving her index finger from one side to the other, holding her hand still.
On his side, the Zamielmon was looking all around, trying to study the entirety of their surroundings. "We should get going." He said, his voice sounding as flat as the rest of his statements today. "Come on."
"Kuru!" Barbara nodded. "By the way! Tell that Radish that, as always, she does not stand a chance of finding Astrivia. Why?" She moved a hip to a side, pointing at herself with her thumb. "Because she is competing against ME!" A giggle was issued to punctuate this sentence.
"Barbara... " Her partner muttered.
"Just like when we were kids, I'll beat that Radish over and over..." But Barbara kept going.
"Judging by its name, we're going to a place where silence reigns, so we really shouldn't..." The Zamielmon continued in the back, speaking at a lower register, but not impossible to hear for the rest of the squad.
"... Again. She has never stood a chance against me. I'm prettier, stronger, pretty stronger, and..."
"Barbara! We should keep it down!"
"Ugh!" Finally, the fairy seemed to have acknowledged her partner's presence. "Why!?"
"There they are!" At the other side of the alley, a group of Hyagomon stood. They were wearing their goggles. "Stop right there!"
"Exactly because of that."
"Crap!"
Barbara and the Zamielmon got propelled upwards, heading for the roofs. This time, they were moving a lot quicker, both thanks to them being able to fly and the amount of energy they were using. Even if they could try, a couple of rookies wouldn't be able to keep up with them, and the group would quickly notice they had lost them. The Hyagomon, however, had managed to keep up, moving through the air swiftly. If they would get them or lose them too eventually, that was a mystery.
Fortunately, it was clear the chaos pirates were their priority, and although some reinforcement could arrive at the alley soon, for now, the Pirates of the Treasure were alone and clear to move. The question was... Where to?
Maybe they should retrace everything the Chaos Pirates had said, not only here, but also at the bar. It was clear they knew something but... Had they even hinted at where were they going next?
Or maybe... Should Koharu, Bu, and Warg just reunite with Erika and Fuu? If they did, they would probably feel they had missed something. That there was something else they could do.
Erika was definitely having trouble to decide. Time was running out, the Hyagomon were running away, the Research Lab was right there and...
"Aaaaaah!" She squealed, both hands on her head. "Let's go!" The human lifted the Dorumon and started running uphill towards the Research Lab. Since Fuu had not made a decision, her captain had just decided for whatever she felt the little dragon was more keen on choosing.

"I guess you can say that my type is more to the shy one," Kon-chan answered. She shifted her position to be more sincere rather than flirting. "Whatever you think I really am, perhaps that's just my surface. If I have to say, I'm a loudmouthed girl, with serious anger issue... I can say with certainty there is no charm in me, at least for myself... But you see, shy guys are like the opposite. It doesn't mean that they're shy mat, it means they're just more conscious of what to say, and very considerate of other person. Just relax, alright?" this time she smiled kindly at him.
Judging huh... What a cute guy. "Don't worry about that. Voice your opinion. Everyone should be entitled to their opinion, you included. There might be times where it's best to not say an opinion, but this is not that time. I'm asking for it, right?" Kon-chan gently pat the guy's paw. "Be more confident about yourself. Life is choices, and what is choices if it's not for adventure? I'm sure you'll have your moments too. Be yourself, be proud of what you choose, and everything will be smooth.
Anyway, does those guys ever said anything about their latest finding in labs or some places, perhaps?"
Welp, that was some ego trip if he ever seen any... But for the moment, it's best to just go back. "...Fuu, I'm going to go back to the crime scene. I feel we might have more clue there... and honestly... something about those two Kyos bothered me. They're someone from our pasts... I know the Aftermath will be full with the navy, but its a risk I'm willing to take. Would you humor me?" Warg asked.
Either way, their next destination is set. He know that there is a saying "the culprit will return to the crime scene"... but that's exactly why he'll try to be prudent. They must not be seen. While the backup is not here yet, they must be hurry. Thankfully, D-Nexus is there to help...
"...I still got the island map with me. Time to skedaddle." Koharu muttered.
Tl;dr: Time to look for the two Kyos, and see if they can return to the Aftermath.

The ego present within this crew was so...prominent that even Bu was able to tell that this fairy had an inflated opinion about herself. Of course, her attention flipped between the Tinkermon and the Zamielmon. "Mmm...I'm gonna have to say you're actually not that pretty, but then again my tastes don't go towards fairies. Anyways, I'll tell Erika that."
...Ouch? Plus, she was going to actually tell Erika the truth of the matter. When was Bu known to lie? Since the moment the fairy started talking. Bu watched as they ran off from the Hyogamon, before nodding to Warg. "We should at least try to figure out what was up with the two...Kyos. I'm tempted to ask what the heck's your relation to them, really. They both seemed really familiar with you!"
Seriously, they couldn't just go back to the others with the mere knowledge that their rivals were going to a place where silence reigns. They needed more. Erika had deduced correctly that Fuu would wanted to have gone for the research lab, even with the lingering feeling of dread that the idea of her sister being in danger entailed.
Of course... "D-Did you r-really need to lift me, C-Captain?!" Fuu squeaked as the human just PICKED HER UP AND MADE A BREAK FOR THE LAB. Fuu's own embarrassment aside, what would the lab itself entail? Probably something that the Dorumon needed to be on the ground for, maybe!

Had Kon’s initial flirting turned into a genuine interest for what the Gabumon thought or how he felt? The horned digimon would not really notice the difference. Maybe he was too spellbound by the little female dragon.
“N-No charm?” He asked, his eyes widening. “N-No…! You are…” He took some air before blurting up some words with his eyes closed, a pink blush visible across his face. “… I think you are very charming.” Then, a sigh. “I will… try to relax.”
“Thank you. I… feel like I can tell you w-what I think. That’s… not very common in me.” Gabumon flinched upon feeling Kon’s hand over his paw. “O-Okay! I’ll try to do as you say.” Boy, was he nervous.
“They did not mention anything about any findings but… I can tell they have inspected Mr. Elecmon’s office at the Research Lab over and over again, but they still keep going there to investigate. It’s like they suspect there is something hidden in there, but can’t quite find it.”
Interesting.
Moving through a batch of streets plagued with navy officers was harder than it sounded. Or maybe not; maybe it was exactly as hard as it sounded. Warg, Bu, and Koharu would have to keep themselves out of the streets and move through the alleys if they wanted to reach The Aftermath again. Hangyomon were going everywhere, looking for the rest of the digimon who were inside the bar when their raid started.
Once the group had finally reached the street behind the gloomy place, they would have to stop at the back of an alley and see it from the distance in order to keep themselves away from the eyes of the officers. From there, they could see some Hangyomon taking some of the digimon inside the bar into custody, that Black Guilmon they had seen before included. However, no trace of any of the Kyos.
So… The Navy had been faster than them. How were they going to get into a bar completely surrounded by navy officers?
Weren’t they acting recklessly? Maybe, just maybe, Barbara and that Zamielmon had given them a hint on what to do next. If that was the case, could they figure it out?
Maybe that “mere knowledge” Bu had thought wouldn’t be enough, was exactly what they needed. What was that place he was talking about?
“Yes! Your legs are too short!” Erika squealed while tightly grabbing her crewmate. While she kept running, the pirate’s eyes widened for a second, looking straight at the Dorumon in her hands. Should she…? Was this really the moment? Welp, if not now, when!?
“GOSH YOU’RE SO SOFT!” She cried, stopping and lifting the Dorumon’s a tad higher to rub her face against Fuu’s. It was when she opened up her eyes she realized… they had arrived. Following the path, some meters ahead, a giant building with a rounded glass ceiling could be found.
“The Research Lab.” Erika muttered. One of the key places of their mission. They had to do this right. They had to.
Erika placed Fuu on the ground and moved towards some bushes, to get a proper view of the building through the thicket.
“Figured.”
Hangyomons. Walking across the perimeter and guarding the building. From where the two pirates were standing, they could see at least six of them. The pink-haired pirate scanned the layout of the place, looking for an opening. This was not an easy task, considering they stood at a decent distance from the massive building itself. But…
“Look.” Erika whispered as she pointed her finger at a small metallic lid on the side of the two-story building, some feet above the ground. “Do you think you could fit in there?” Then, her eyes drifted towards the mermen. “But… we would need to cause a distraction for them first. Any idea?"

"Oh?" Kon-chan let out a sound of interest. "Even if it's just a lip service, I'm happy, thank you." It was a sincere smile that she gave him. By the way, unknown to them, Kon-chan has been hearing a lot thorough the communication device of what happened to Koharu and Warg. So there are things going on over there... things with two Kyos... But at this time, she just need one clue.
"Unfortunately my time is almost up... so what do you say about one drink? I also have a little question... what's this CID building? It looked like it's... locked and all that, and sounds like you need something to go through it, know any way to get inside? ... and then... what's in the forest? I might go there too..."
Once she got her answer, Kon-chan would drink the last of the liquor and suddenly leaned in to kiss the Gabumon. "Should our path crossed again, I think we should totally date. I'll try to finish my work as soon as possible for that, hmn?"
She waved him goodbye and headed to the Lab, of course through through the more rarely used path.
Koharu meanwhile is awaiting for Kon-chan's reply, but even so... "Looks like this is not the place. The place where silence reigns... that's either the library or something else... Keep moving, Bu." Slowly, Koharu kept her voice low as she talked. "...There's only administrative office and navy, and I don't believe our culprits would go to the Navy Base after what they stolen... ... but place where silence reigns can means the CID... now how to enter that, I have no idea. Either way, we'll go there. Maybe Barb already there... and maybe like that we can enter. Anyway, I'm waiting for Kon-chan's reply."

"Y-Yes, I understand I-I'm soft--I get it from my dad, b-but please focus, captain!" Fuu exclaimed. It's not that she didn't mind this, but the Dorumon was more concerned with getting to the Research Lab quick so they could get what they needed and so that they could go see if Bu and the others were okay.
Speaking of, they had actually reached their destination, with Fuu crouching into a bush with Erika. They needed to distract the six mermen in order for Fuu to fit through that gate. "I...I think I can. Question is, how? I mean, if we had Kon-chan with us, she could pull out some of her tools, but...I guess I'll need to improvise." The Dorumon murmured. "I'll spit out a Dash Metal--it's non-explosive, and rather lightweight, but if you throw or fire it hard enough it'll be noisy as hell. I just need a good place to aim it at..." However, before she did anything, she took her D-Nexus out, and sent a message to Kon-chan.
"Hey, how far are you from the lab? I could use some help. Like...uh. A distraction." Where silence reigns, where silence reigns... "...There's no library here." Bu noted. "So, either the CID or the forest. A forest is silent, but there'd be noise allover..." Then, it hit her. The CID was silent when they first saw it. It was alien, unfitting with the town.
"That's it! We need to get going over there now, or else that fairy's gonna beat us to it!" Bu took off towards the CID.
Hopefully with Koharu and Warg, because going there alone would be...quite awkward.
