"How I met Sanoske? Well that's kind of a long story." Crystal stated as she began to think back, "If I remember correctly, we first met while travelling through the northern mountains. Y'see. Pure and I got lost while trying to find our way to the village up there. That was around when we happened upon a drunken Gazimon who was happening to be heading in a similar direction. After convincing Pure that it would be better to have someone like Sanoske to scare some of the other predators away, we traveled. To be honest, nothing much happened during that time, and we soon went our separate ways after that. Honestly not all that exciting when you think about it." Crystal admitted with a shrug.
"We didn't really see Sanoske again til a faithful day in the Network Plains. We found Lily's restaurant while walking and decided to eat lunch there for the day. During our stay though, we heard some commotion and went to check it out. There we saw a familiar looking gazimon being beaten by Lily for trying to steal food. He looked so weak, beaten, and helpless that I went over and, with some help, convinced Lily to let me take care of him. So she took us to her room so that we could help him. And while he recovered, Sanoske and I got to talk, and were able to learn more about each other better. Then I offered him to come travel with us and that was that.
"Pure was against it at first of course, but I was able to convince him like always. The next morning we had some breakfast and headed off." There was an obvious smile on the Turuiemon's face as she reminisce on the events of that day. She didn't even want to think what would have happened if they never had lunch at that restaurant that day.

Rippah found the story interesting, although, given that he is unaware of Sanoske's size when they first met (and Sanoske's physicality beyond being unable to come into this area), he wondered how many breweries did Sanoske put out of business to get "drunk". Looks like he could drink a few gallons of beer and get only tipsy. But out of respect Rippah kept his mouth shut.
And then she mentioned that they met again after Lilly had beaten up Sanoske. Sounds just like the large Guilmon to punish the eat and runners like that.
Perhaps, Rippah just realized, he was smaller than he is now. If he just stole food, he'd have to get into the trailer... an impossible feat had he always been that size.
"Sounds like an interesting guy. Looks like you've cleaned his act up he went from some drunk who stole food to who he is now... although *beellch* I shouldn't assume I knew what his situation was beforehand.
How I met my girlfriend wasn't quite as interesting. I just... was having a really bad time, depressed *burrp* and in the dumps. And then I met Elly an she lit up my life. Hopefully, she can help me with my sister. From what I've heard, she didn't have a good life growing up."

"Well I don't know if I cleaned up his act, more just helped him with foraging food. The only reason he stole from Lily in the first place was out of desperation. He probably wouldn't if he wasn't afraid he would died if he didn't. Besides now he's able to fish fairly well with those imaginary nets he's able to create, that if we were to be separated, Yggdrasil forbide, that he wouldn't need to resort to stealing again." Crystal said, not believing Sanoske to have just been a drunk food thief before she met him.
She wasn't sure if she should mention any part of Sanoske's history to Rippah, and decided that it was probably best not to. She knew full well that it was a sensitive subject for Sanoske. One that was probably best for him to share. Even if it would help explain the actions Sanoske has taken in the past.
"So if you don't mind me asking. What exactly happened in the past to cause Cuttah to be so... Glum?" Crystal then decided to ask, "I mean if it's not your story to tell, then I understand. But it does make me curious why she would look so down on herself."

Rippah already knew a bit about Sanoske, at least enough to know why he couldn't be here, although there was still plenty he didn't understand. But at this point, before being wrong about the guy again, he decided to not make any more comments about the past he got from Crystal.
She then asked him about his sister.
"It's fine. She doesn't mind it if I talked to people about her past. *beellch*
Well, we didn't grow up together. I was in the digital world, whereas Cuttah had a tamer and lived in the human world. And even in her youth she was quite flatulent. So her tamer would tell her various things like keep quiet or high or stop farting or hold it in. In various ways she was either hidden or stowed away, told to remain quiet.
Then one day she snapped, beat her tamer in the face with her Magnum, and then left off for the digital world. She had heard about me from somewhere and eventually found me. I mean *burrp*, finding out I had a twin sister was cool and all but I could tell her treatment and her snapping took a toll on her mind.
And she blames herself. She never had any friends before me so her social skills were pretty bad, and, well... most wouldn't get pass the smell. She knows she has issues all too well and thinks she has no redeeming features, and she hates herself for them.
*beellch* But, even if slow, I've been making progress with her."

"Yikes. I would have never guessed. It makes me feel quite bad for both her and her tamer. Perhaps if they would have been able to talk things out and find some type of compromise. Someway they could work things out without one nearly killing the other." Crystal said as she dwelt on the subject for a little longer then she probably should have.
In all honesty, Crystal barely knew any humans, and so doesn't know much about them except from what she heard from other digimon. She knew full well that Moosemon always held something against humans. Could something similar have happened to him? She would probably never truly know now that he's gone.
"I have to ask though. Do you have any memories of Cuttah before you were separated by any chance?" She then asked as an idea came to her head. "Perhaps you could use something from back then to help improve her self-confidence. Maybe remind her that there is more to her past then just hardship."

Rippah shook his head at Crystal's question. "As far as I know, we were separated fairly early on, before we were born. I have no *belllch* past memories of her because I never met her until after she left her tamer, so to speak.
As far as I know, before she met me her past was *just* hardship. It's the reason she doesn't like humans, generally. She doesn't even like Karen because of her 'scent'. I guess she hangs around a lot of humans because *burrrp* she says Karen smells too much like a human, and it bothers her."
Well, Rippah was saying it in a nicer way than how Cuttah said it.

"Separated before you were born. How did that happen?" She asked not quite understanding how such a thing was possible. She always thought that twin digimon always shared a digitama, and it would be impossible to separate them before they hatch. At least that was the case with her and her brother. Could there possibly be different ways for twin digimon to exist?
"Well as far as I've seen. Most humans aren't like that. So hopefully your sister would soon see the light, or at least give them the benefit of the doubt. I would I hate to see her hating a group just because of a bad apple in the bunch."
"Don't you think that's a little hypocritical of you?" Mel cued on the conversation.
"Hey. I hate you and mostly you. That doesn't mean I hate the Hyldens. It's just... I haven't really heard much redeeming qualities about them."
"Always have an excuse. Do you?"
"Your one to talk." Crystal rebutted, "How much further is this sister of yours anyways?"
"Not much further now."

"I could *urp* say, Crystal. It's kinda odd, and there is the fact that only she had gotten a tamer, while I was left here... uh, in the digital world.
Me... I have no particular love or hatred for humans as a whole... I did know one personally but *urrrap* he kinda ticked off Cuttah and she hates him now... although in her defense I have to admit it wasn't completely undeserving, if overreacted as well. Bit of an... odd story I'll save for later."
He remembered the time Joey, a human who was body swapped with a Bearmon at the time, challenged Rippah to a fight. Neither Rippah nor Cuttah knew who it was, and Cuttah decided to fight in Rippah's place. After nearly caving his face in with her gun, Joey revealed who he was. Cuttah was a bit livid in see how this (formerly human) friend of Rippah's decided to attack him to prove himself without actually telling him who he was before.
While Rippah wasn't as angry with Joey as Cuttah was, he certainly was disappointed in his actions. He mused over this as Mel and Crystal argued a bit more, remaining silent for the moment.

"Well... I guess that doesn't help your situation much. Now does it?" Crystal said, trying to think what exactly the human could of done to tick Cuttah off. Perhaps he mentioned something about her smell. That seemed like it would be enough to do it.
They continued walking for a short time after until Mel suddenly stopped them in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere. "Here we are." Mel then told the others.
Crystal looked around the best she could. Trying to see what exactly Mel was talking about, but couldn't see anything but the dirt and the occasional brush. "Here we are what? I don't see anything out here." She said growing impatient as the thoughts this could be a trap returned to the forefront of her mind.
"Of course not. I'm not going to leave something like this out in the open, now am I?" He then crouched down a little and brush some dirt out of the way before saying, "Reborn"
A circular patch of ground in front of them then began to tear open as it spun around and opened up. The other side of the patch revealed that the door was just metal cleverly hidden under a layer of dirt. If one were to then look inside they would see a similar metalic tunnel that led deep within the earth. It was almost like a bomb tunnel of sorts.
"Whoever is the last one down should make sure that you close the hatch. We won't be able to continue in otherwise." Mel said as he began to climb down into the tunnel. They needed to be quick about this.

Finally, the group made it to their destination, Mel's secret area where his sister was being held. Crystal was initially suspicious, but given that Lezard has put a complicated lock system on his door that is set to explode if someone tries to break in, Rippah as more than familiar enough with security to one's personal effects. Although Mel's was more subtle.
Once Mel went in, Rippah followed, but not before giving a nervous grin towards the Tururiemon. "Hehe, could you, uh... lock the door? No hands, you see."
Rippah had his ultimate form, but given the nature of this mission he felt that his champion form would attract less attention. But now he had to climb down? This was going to be a bit complicated, and he didn't want to potentially blow their cover by changing forms.
And so down Rippah climbed, hoping to not fall on Mel due to a misstep.

Crystal watched for a second as Mel and Rippah began descending down into the tunnel. She then quickly took a glance around their surroundings before heading down the tunnel herself, closing the hatch behind her. The sound of moving mechanisms could be heard all over the tunnel as lights turned on so the group can see. It might also be noticed that the fog itself that entered the tunnel was getting thinner and thinner as they continued further down until it was nearly non-existence.
They would eventually find themselves in a pretty large metallic room. So large that Rippah could probably enter his ultimate form and they all still have enough room to feel comfortable in. Once everyone was off of the ladder, it would then ascend upwards. A door would then cover the tunnel exit as the sound of something similar to an air conditioner came on. Mel just stood there in front of a door with a red light over it, waiting patiently for the decontamination process to end.
"So what exactly is this place? I doubt you where able to create all this by yourself." Crystal said as she looked around.
"Me and Celeste created this place to be a sort of hospital for weakening Hylden. We had hoped to one day create a place where the harmful effects of the Hylden would be at a minimum so that they would be able to one day recover. Unfortunately, with our unique connection to this world, it would be impossible to fully filter out the Hylden world effects without having an equally harmful effect on us. So it merely became an area that's able to slow down the degrading effects and nothing more." Mel explained as he stared at the door, waiting for it to finally open.

Rippah felt slightly better and at the same time faintly woozy down here. Considering the detrimental effects of the place perhaps his body still needed to adjust. However it was great without all the fog and enjoying the ability to see some color other than shades of yellow. The strange aroma of the Hylden area wasn't nearly prevalent here as well.
Mel described this as a hospital of sorts (even if it's here to just slow down the effects, although this had gotten Rippah curious about their situation again.
"Huh... I *beellch* have another question... even if this is just a place to slow down the effects of this area... why is it so hidden?"

Mel glanced over at Rippah as he asked his question before returning his attention back the the door. "To put it simply. Our 'Peers' weren't exactly happy with our initial concept and idea. It was seen as a waste of time and resources that could be better spent trying to get us out of this prison. So Celeste and I, being as naive as we were at the time, decided to build this place in private. Away from sight in hopes that the final product would be able to change peoples mind." The light on the door then changed to green as the door began to open, "Perhaps we should count our blessings that we never finished it in a way we were satisfied."
Mel walked through the door to the room next to it. The walls were made of a similar sterile white metal that the previous one was made. In it was a several beds with a variety of what Crystal guess was medical devices attached to them. Other then the beds there were a couple of trunks, desks, chairs, and a computer spewed around the room. The beeping of a single monitor could be heard in the room and upon investigation, they would find a small pink blob digimon in the bed the monitor was hooked up to it.
"Celeste?!" Mel called out as he went over to her side, "This is not good." He sat there in deep contemplation for a second before turning back the others, "Well I got good news and bad news. The good news is that she's still alive."
"And the bad news?"
"I'm not sure she'll be able to survive long enough out there for us to reach the portal again." Mel sat down on the other bed as he began thinking once again, "Okay. Let's look around real quick. There should be some prototype portable containment device we were working on that should help. Just look. You'll know it when you see it."
"You don't exactly sound sure about that."
"Look I'm taking this all one step at a time. Okay? It should be here. I'm just not sure if it's ready for actually use yet."
"And if it isn't?"
"Then we'll go with Plan B."
Crystal didn't exactly like the sound of this, but didn't have much choice. She had a pretty good idea what Plan B involved, and preferred to avoid it at all costs. So she began searching the room for whatever this containment device is. It shouldn't be to hard to locate. There wasn't exactly to many places for it to be hiding at.

Rippah looked around the area, seeing all the beds and whatnot. Rippah never been inside a hospital before, but from what little he has seen of them, this certainly felt like a hospital.
The group finally got to Celeste, but in her current state she wouldn't last long without some containment device used to transport her. Either that, or some "Plan B"
Rippah suddenly and unceremoniously digivolved to his Ultimate form, WeskerGarurumon, and then pulled out a stopwatch (which he always had, just couldn't get to in his champion form an didn't want to move down in form).
"Well, we do have some time to search. We still have some hours before the portal opens up again, an in her condition, time she spends here is time not spent waiting outside."
Rippah then went off and began looking. Sure, hopefully a prototype containment device is as obvious as Mel made it out to be. Rippah wished he at least said what it looked like, but didn't bother to voice the question.

Crystal and Mel began searching the room for the device Mel mentioned. Crystal didn't exactly seemed happy with this plan, but it's better then the alternatives. She had a sneaking suspicion that Plan B may include him putting Celeste in someone's body. And she rather not be forced into a situation like that.
"You do understand that it would be easier to find if we knew what exactly this 'device' looks like." She told Mel, completely frustrated as she worked.
"Just trust me. You'll know it when you'll see it."
"You keep saying that. Do you even know what we are searching for?" The room went silent except for the rustling of stuff as everyone searched, "You got to be kidding me. You don't even know what it looks like. Weren't you the one to build it."
"No I wasn't. It was one of Celeste's invention." Mel explained
"So you don't even know if it's in here."
"I remember her mentioning something about having put the prototype somewhere down here. So it should be here somewhere."
"Well to bad we can't ask her where the stupid thing that'll save her life is at." Crystal said with a sigh, "By the way. Can't you and Pure separate now. It'll be easier to find this thing with four of us instead of just three."
Mel stopped for a second before taking a deep breath, "No we can't separate now. It's still too risky." He lied, after Pure mentally begged him to keep it a secret for just a little bit longer.
"How is it still too risky? If they couldn't detect Celeste's signal or whatever it's called down here, how could they detect you?"
"I'm more powerful right now then Celeste has been since she's been down here. So it's still possible for them to see some sense of me if we were to separate. And I would like to keep this place intact for as long as we can."
Crystal turned and looked over at Mel with narrowed eyes. She could tell that he was now making stuff up, but before she could call him out on it. "Aha. I thought it would be here. Geez... She really needed to clean this cabinet out. It's hard to tell one thing from another in here." He said as he held up some sort of small device.
