(Ooh, a delay party! Sorry guys.)
"Morning, Amy," Rinji piped up, happy to see that she was back. He settled down again once she sat next to him, interested to hear what Isaac and Elliot had to say.
So the name of the drinks was coffee? Rinji thought he might've heard of it before, uttered by city-going digimon. But as far as he knew, it was still mostly a human thing.
"Umm..." He hesitated at Isaac's question, unsure of how he would like his coffee. His mind halted as he stared at the ingredients Isaac intended to use.
He looked to Elliot. Elliot had taken the coffee without adding anything to it, but he wasn't quite sure. He briefly glanced at the cup Elliot was holding. It didn't smell very sweet.
"That's sugar, right? Can I have mine with a couple packets, please?" He asked, still feeling a little out of his depth. He wasn't sure what else to ask for, really.

Sorrryyyyyyyy Amelie smiled at Rinji, glad that at least he looked like was okay, last night had definitely been... strange, to say the least. She wasn't all that amused with Isaac's apology, though. "Hey. I thought you guys would be more gracious to your hostess." She said, half-jokingly. "I wasn't drunk. I was just a little tipsy, okay? I still remember most of what happened tonight, you know?" Which brought her to the next point, was it okay for her to ask about yesterday's strange events? Both brothers seemed to be pretty nonchalant about it, so... she'd make sure to at least mention them at some point down the line.
"But that's a nice gesture on your part, thank you." Given how tired he must've been, Isaac's actions were very much appreciated, even if... "Maid café?" The brunette's expression didn't do much to conceal how puzzled she was. "I didn't know that boys could... nevermind." Everyone to their thing, she guessed.
The mental image would be etched on her mind's eye for some time, however. Anyway, she wasn't a coffee person but refusing such gesture would probably be hella rude. "Latte's fine. Not much sugar, please."
As Isaac took a seat near them, Amelie finally decided to address... the elephant in the room, so to speak. "So... what's this all about exactly? I mean, by the look of it, I'd almost say it's some kind of secret society or something of the like. You won't have to kill because I know too much or something of the like, right?"

Isaac huffed a little at Amy's half-joke. How could you get any more gracious than literally bringing over hangover coffee? Wasn't his fault that she was totally on a drunken 3 AM adventure. "Wasn't saying you were," he said, a touch defensively at the "thanks" he had received. "But I figured the rough flight and the late sleep wouldn't be much help for an easy morning. Better safe than sorry, right?"
Still, it sounded like Amy was aware enough to remember what happened last night. Frankly, Isaac was shocked she didn't block it our for sheer improbability value, but considering that she woke up snuggled up with a centipede it was probably a little bit too late for that. "Hell of a thing to remember, huh? Well, if you've got any questions last night, me and my bro are happy to help clear stuff up," he said. Would that include the whole "turns into a dragon" part? Kinda too late for that to be swept under the rug, so at least Isaac was prepared to answer it fairly.
At the proper thanks, Isaac gave a small smile. "Hey, don't worry about it," he said. "It was the least I could do."
His line of work baffled Amy, but frankly it baffled Isaac too. "There's a lot of butlers, too," Elliot chimed in. "I think maybe even more than maids? Not sure. I gotta ask Asher." What? Elliot wasn't lingering around the place keeping count! Hell, Isaac worked there and he wasn't even doing that. It would've just been weird on every regard.
Isaac nodded at Amy and Rinji's instructions, whipping up their coffees as they requested. With a little bit of cream, he also drew up two simple designs for the duo. Taking a leaf shape and modifying a bit lead to a fairly decent looking centipede improvised for each of them. After a bit of time getting each coffee ready he gave it them to the duo, grinning as he said "Enjoy!"
Elliot took on QnA duty for his distracted brother. "Not really a secret society, no," Elliot said. "More a secret world that a few people here all coincidentally go back and forth to. So I guess it's a society, and it's secret, but not really a secret society? It's more a secret to prevent people from freaking out about dragons and angels and giant spiders existing, though. Not a 'you know too much so you gotta go' kind of thing. So no need to worry about that.
Please don't tell anyone, though. On account of the whole freaking out thing. It'd give everyone way too many questions to be worth it."

It was interesting to hear about the Digital World from the perspective of the Human World, Rinji had to admit. It confirmed a lot of things he hadn't been sure about when he first arrived: that most humans didn't know about digimon and certainly weren't tamers, and that the Digital World was a secret. He'd definitely have to be more careful in the future, especially if he was going to leave Amy's apartment again to try and get back to the Digital World.
Now that he thought about it, it was a miracle at all that a person like Amy had offered to help him. She hadn't even known what he was! There again, he didn't know what Isaac and Elliot were, and they were all still sat here. He'd have to ask soon.
But right now, he was starving. Rinji tentatively watched Isaac as he prepared the drinks - mixing and pouring the extra ingredients with a deftness that only human hands could achieve. It made his stubby legs look rather useless, he realised.
"Thank you." He could feel the warmth of the drink through his claws as Isaac handed it to him. The top of the drink had a little picture of, what he could tell, was a Scolomon on it. "Oh," he smiled pleasantly in surprise. So that was what Isaac was doing earlier. Was it because he worked at a café? He'd at least heard of those before, even if he'd never gotten the chance to visit one.
With extra care not to tip the drink onto himself, Rinji took a small sip. With his muzzle-shaped mouth, it proved to be a bit awkward, but he just about managed. The taste of the actual drink was almost a shock, but not a bad one. His face contorted in surprise - it just tasted so different from how it smelled. It was creamy, sweet and bitter at the same time.
It wasn't very long until he'd drank at least half the cup, slowed only by his ability to hold it without spilling anything. Satisfied for now, his attention turned back to the humans sat in front of him. Not wanting to be a bother, perhaps he'd ask about Isaac and Elliot first.
"So, uhh," he hesitated, unsure on his wording, "what are you? You don't smell like a digimon," Rinji asked, genuinely baffled. He hoped he hadn't offended - that had come out a little rougher than he intended.
Although, it was true: Isaac in particular never had any sort of digimon scent that he could detect. Although now that he thought about it, he faintly smelled of dragon now - but that was only after he'd digivolved, so to say. Elliot still smelled like a normal human, and so had Isaac, before the digivolution. Other than that, nothing else seemed to add up.
It was a genuine mystery.

If Isaac was right about something, was that last night had been one hell of a night. Just remembering it made Amelie yawn tiredly; how much had she slept? She wasn't sure, but probably not even five hours. They had crashed right when the sun was rising, and kinda still having breakfast, so... maybe four at most? Maan.
With a small nod and a smile, the brunette did her best to appreciate the gesture both Elliot and Isaac were having with her, all while pondering about men and maid cafés. Well, what a way to kill that stereotype dead, but it wasn't like she minded; never having entered one of those places, and frankly considering them plain weird, she wasn't exactly curious about their nature.
Even if a certain name mentioned by the younger brother resonated within the teenager's mind.
Deciding to not think about it at the moment, Amy instead just took a look to her coffee. The pattern drawn was kinda cute, she had to admit. "Much appreciated. Thank you very much, guys." She took a small sip, all the while eyeing her unlikely company. To this point, she found it hard to believe that she'd share her apartment's table with two kids and a talking centipede, but here she was.
Elliot's answer had proven to be... more or less good? She wasn't sure why he kept mentioning the words "secret" and "society" but the overall explanation was okay, she guessed. "So, now you're gonna tell me there's this fantasy world where all kinds if beings from fantasy books exist, can talk to boot and that Rin-Rin's one of them? Well, in that case..."
She had kinda seen Isaac turning into a four-eyed dark dragon-thing, so Amy guessed there was some truth to that, and couldn't but give a brief look to Rinji right away. There were dragons, angels, demons and that stuff in that world, and the guy had ended up being a centipede? That seemed like... he had gotten the short end of the stick, in all honesty. "Don't worry about me telling anybody, though. Chances are anybody would think I'm crazy or something, anyway. I don't wanna end my career as one of those peeps in the TV programs that just rave about aliens existing or something, you know."
Rinji's own question was a valid one, and one she'd probably ask if he hadn't asked it first. However, she had a couple o questions on her own. "So... how do people get to this strange, fantasy land? I'm not sure if it's a place I'd be visiting anytime soon, but... guess it's better to have that knowledge than not." The brunette made a small pause, as if giving the brothers time to answer her first question. "Also, is there anything else I should know about this? Or... I'm better just pretending this never happened?"
That was a pretty valid question. Amelie wasn't the type that'd just forget about things like this, but if this wasn't really her business, there wasn't much she could do about it, right?

"Aw, no need to thank me," Elliot said, gently brushing it off. "Isaac's the one with the talent here. I just help him carry stuff sometimes." Then again, with Elliot's bad leg and walking stick taking up an arm, "carrying stuff sometimes" was a surprising amount of effort for him.
Amy's explanation was ridiculous. It was also completely right. "Pretty much," Isaac said. "I mean, not all of them are really fantasy. There's a lot of sci-fi, too. Sometimes you get dragons, sometimes you get robots, and sometimes you get robot dragons, you know?" The Digital World really was quite the eclectic mix, basically boiling down to whatever adrenaline crazed middle schoolers thought was cool. And poop. A weirdly disproportionate amount of poop, for some reason. "Honestly, if you can think of anything, you're probably going to end up seeing something like it in the Digital World. There's a lot of variety around there."
When Amy expressed concern about sounding crazy, Elliot gave her a warm smile. "I know, right? It all sounds really weird," he said, thankfully taking that statement in stride. "It's why I'm really glad I have Isaac. And other people I can count on, too. It can be a lot to deal with alone, but when you have someone to split the stress with it's actually really fun!
And, I mean, if you ever end up there, and you need anything, we can help you! If you want, of course," Elliot offered, somewhat sheepishly. Amy was nice. He wanted to help her!
Welp. Now she wanted to know where the Digital World was. At least she acknowledged that it was a terrible idea, too. "Well, there's the easy way and the hard way," Isaac said, humming slightly. "Easy way, you hop on the train. There's a station terminal that doesn't really work, but if you have a Digivice it'll pick up on it and open up. Head down the tunnel and you'll end up at a Trailmon station. Just like a train station, but the trains talk. As for the hard way? Well, lets just say you wouldn't want to fall into the Shibuya River, and not just because it smells awful.
Not gonna lie, probably best to forget about this. But something tells me that's not gonna happen, so here's a few tips. Safety in numbers. Stick to towns whenever possible. Don't piss off anyone with flamethrowers mounted on their shoulders. And if anyone has a mysterious job or quest for you? Do not take it. Trust me. Not until you've got some experience under your belt, and even then you gotta be careful."
While Isaac gave a crash course on the Digital World, Elliot figured he'd give Rinji a crash course on the human one. "We're humans," Elliot said. "Think of us like . . . wingless Angemon. With no powers. And we're shorter, too. Other than that, we're not too different from Digimon, really." You know. Other than those huge, important differences!

By now, Rinji had finished the drink that Isaac had so kindly bought. Setting it down on the table, he leaned his head forward, listening keenly to both Elliot and Isaac. Most of what they said kind of made sense, especially with the description of the Digital World. It was a detail often overlooked, but Digimon came in so many more shapes and colours than humans did, didn't they?
When it came to answering Rinji's question about Isaac, he was quite possibly even more confused than before he asked. Wingless, powerless Angemon? That's definitely not how he'd describe a Devidramon. "But didn't Isaac turn into a Devidramon? I was sure most humans couldn't do that."
Maybe it would be best not to press on that too much for now. Something else had also caught the centipede's attention. Most importantly, the answer to Amy's question. "I came here by Trailmon!" He spoke out in sudden realisation, "I must've accidentally taken the wrong one... I had no idea you could go to the human world using Trailmon." Not to mention he'd also never heard of Shibuya River, either. It didn't sound like a very nice place to be, either.
A troubled look of realisation overcame his face. "I think I might've read the timetable wrong," he admitted, remembering back to when he'd been at the Server Woods train station. It wasn't that the print had been too small, but more with an issue with it being too blurry to read. Although not obvious in most situations, his eyesight was pretty bad. If he were human, he'd probably have been prescribed glasses. Unfortunately, most digimon didn't have that luxury.
"So I'll have to go back to the station?" That was going to be a struggle, although he'd been aware of this potential outcome since he realised he was in the wrong world. He tilted his head in thought. As far as he knew, he didn't have any attacks or abilities he could use to sneak back.
Several of his legs twitched involuntarily. He shook his head, feeling a little lightheaded. "How do I get back to the station? Is there any way to avoid the humans? I don't want to cause any trouble..."

Isaac's explanation made a pretty good job at confirming Amy's suspicions. That world was completely bonkers, and she wasn't even sure on how to react to its existence.
What would she even do about it? Not like she had any way of interacting with that world, and neither could she turn in those monsters like Isaac could. In fact, the only thing she knew about that world was that it had spawned Rinji. And that the digimon had thus far been a friendly and kind individual that... wanted to get back to his world.
While she could identify the feeling as homesickness, that was something the brunette had never felt herself; always being on the move from one country to the next, the only thing that she had called home was her parents' presence, along with the sporadic visits from her brother or sisters. The correct definition couldn't be more different, probably.
"It must be." She replied to Elliot, reciprocating his smile. "And while I'd like to visit that place someday, I don't think it'll ever become my thing. I mean, I doubt I'd have much to do there anyway." While the adventuring type, going to another world just to sate her own curiosity wasn't something she imagined doing in the short term; right now, she had to take care of things like school and such.
A long, drawn-out sigh escaped her mouth; adult life being what it was, she probably couldn't afford it. "I'll have in mind your offering, though. Thank you for being so generous."
Fun fact; despite all the excuses her head was making out, she listened attentively to Isaac's explanation about how to reach the Digital World and his safety tips, making sure to take in every detail on those descriptions, and quite obviously, showing some clear disgust at the mention of the river. That thing was... utterly hideous, in all honesty. "Does that even qualify as a river? Floating dumpster would be more accurate. Never thought the Tokyoites were so careless about littering, to be honest."
Rinji, on the other side, seemed to have some questions on his own, the most urgent being on how to get back to the train station and by extension, to his world. That was easy enough, the brunette thought. "I think I can squeeze you in one of my duffel bags. Not going to lie; you'll be uncomfortable while inside, but nobody will notice you. Getting to the train terminal is easy enough, so that's not gonna be an issue. I can get you there myself if that's what you want."
Amelie had promised Rinji she'd help him, and she was bent to see that promise through. Just as long as he wanted to go with that plan or something in which she could play a part, that is.

"It's a long story," Elliot said, somewhat sheepishly. Why was he nervous about this? Literally everyone saw Isaac transform last night! Something about explaining being a spirit user always made him feel a little shy, though. Maybe it was the fact that even after a year of taking these forms, he still wasn't 100% comfortable with them. In the end, no matter what he had access to, Elliot was Elliot. He couldn't just slot into the roll of being a rampaging dragon as comfortably as Isaac did, even if his forms did give him a proper second leg to walk with.
"We can take up artifacts left behind by long-gone Digimon," Isaac explained, pulling out his Digivice and materializing the spirit Devidramon came from. He rotated it around with the Digivice's wheel, clearly biased about showing it off based on how cool he found it. "They get to experience life again. We get their protection. So I don't really turn into Devidramon, so much as borrow him for a bit. Not everyone can do that kind of thing, and we can't do it with just every spirit. There's still a lot me and my bro are confused on, but hey. It's working for us so far!" Yes, Isaac. Tap into these magic powers you don't understand because they're working for you so far. That's smart.
As Isaac excitedly talked about being badass, Elliot was relieved to see that Amy wouldn't be reckless with the Digital World. "Yeah. Truth be told, it isn't really mine either," Elliot said, sheepishly. "But these spirits stuck to me and Isaac for a reason, right? So I gotta keep helping, at least until I find out why. Glad you've got the chance to be patient with it, though. A lot of people get swept up into the Digital World all at once if they aren't careful. If that ends up happening to you, feel free to let us know!"
If only Elliot realized how literal being "swept up" in it was, considering his entrance. "You think that's bad? Some punks tossed Elliot right into it," Isaac said, brow furrowed in irritation as he remembered that day. "Funny, though, isn't it? If it wasn't for that, we may've never even found the Digital World. So I guess in a way, they did us a huge favor. Total dicks, though. If I ever see 'em again, I gotta give them a piece of my mind . . ." With a dragon transformation, maybe! Nah, Isaac wasn't that irresponsible.
The new plan seemed to be Terminus station, but with Rinji's size and it being bright daylight, that may not have been the best idea. Fortunately, Elliot's eyes lit up with inspiration. "Rinji, can you de-Digivolve?" he asked, looking at Rinji to guesstimate how small he'd be when reduced to In Training form. "It'd probably make riding in one of Amy's bags way more comfortable, and then you can go right back to being big after the trip."

The explanation for spirit users absolutely enraptured Rinji, and he peered closely at Isaac's spirit. It was the spitting image of the Devidramon that had carried them away that night. "Wow, I've never heard of that before," he commented, between Isaac's explanation. He briefly wondered what it would be like if digimon could be turned into humans, or what it would be like if a human could turn into his own species.
His thoughts were interrupted by a queasy feeling. Perhaps that drink from earlier hadn't agreed with his stomach? Deciding it best just to ignore it for now, he continued listening keenly to the twins and Amy. It was kind of cool that Elliot and Isaac were kind of like digi-heroes, with the way they implied it. He and Amy were really lucky to have bumped into them; the two were genuinely good people.
"You were pushed into a river!?" He said to Elliot, shocked. That was awful! He felt somewhat outraged, and wishing that he could do something about it. Isaac definitely seemed to think so. Maybe they could both give those other mean humans a good talking to?
He also found himself irked by the idea that the river was apparently so polluted. Having come from such a pure and tranquil forest, the idea of a toxic river disgusted him. Not that digimon were much better at cleaning up after themselves.
"De-digivolve?" Hadn't one of the twins mentioned that earlier? "How do I do that?" If he needed to, then he'd try, but he wasn't sure if that was actually something he could do. Squeezing into one of Amy's bags as a full-sized rookie also didn't sound very comfortable. He could probably fit if he needed to, but it'd be a real squeeze with him definitely having to double back up on himself.
Still, he was grateful that both Amy and the brothers were willing to help him at all. He'd have to think of something he could do afterwards as a 'thank you' once they were back in the Digital World. He didn't have much money, but he knew some really stunning places in the Eastern Timberlands.

Don't get her wrong, Isaac's story was interesting and all but... Amelie didn't have much to do with it, to be honest. As nice as the piece of trivia was, it was probably just next to organic chemistry on the "useless junk" section of her brain. Of course, that had been an explanation given to Rinji, so there wasn't much sense on it to be important to her. She noticed that Rinji seemed to be a little... sick for a second. Was something wrong with him? She didn't know, and he seemed get better pretty much instantly, so she dismissed those gestures as the brothers got to the actually important part of the conversation.
And she was absolutely surprised by it. Elliot, pulled into the river? "Oh god. That's awful!" The brunette said more or less at the same time that the digimon. "Why would anybody do something that mean? I can't believe it."
If there was anything that made Amy's blood boil, was the notion of people being needlessly mean to others. For the moment, however, she was distracted by the notion of... "Wait. Are you implying that the dumpster is connected to that world in some way? Man, that almost seems like out of a James Bond movie or something."
His words hadn't been exact enough, but it didn't take a genius to know that, at the very least, the river was somehow related to the other world. That was... pretty interesting, to say the least.
She could've asked more questions about the river, but another foreign concept entered her head. 'de-Digivolve'. Heck if she knew what that meant, but apparently that could make Rin small enough to fit in one of her bags more comfortably. That means it was something good, right? In any case, for now, she'd just wait and see...

"Not just a river," Elliot warned. "The Shibuya River is . . . well . . ."
"A filthy mess," Isaac interjected, helping Elliot avoid dancing around the subject. "At this point, I'm pretty sure they call it a river to prank tourists. So trust me, if you're looking for some nice water, go to the park instead. If you're looking for an entrance to the Digital World in a pinch, on the other hand, it'll at least get you where you need to go. If, you know, you don't mind a bit of a nasty surprise first."
"I needed to shower for, like, two hours," Elliot groaned. "Don't listen to Isaac, it isn't worth it at all."
"I dunno. I'd rather have a long bath than deal with a particularly annoying Trailmon," Isaac countered. "Some of those guys are just total busybodies, especially when they have a captive audience."
"You can tune out a Trailmon, but that smell haunts you for life," Elliot warned.
Still, with how earnest the bros were being about it, they seemed to be telling the truth. "Yep. Direct portal," Isaac specified. "So if nothing else, it's at least the fastest way of getting there. Most Digital World portals wink out after a while, but this one's been holding on for at least a year now. It's not too stable, though, so good luck finding its location on the other side."
That wouldn't be the only concept the bros illustrated today. "Yeah! De-digivolve," Elliot said. "It's when you just . . . focus really hard, and stop being you-sized anymore. You know?" No, Elliot. I'm fairly sure Rinji doesn't know.
"Leave it to me, bro," Isaac said, grinning mischievously. He held his Digivice high, and soon there was a Devidramon coiled around the entirety of Amy's room. "See? Not very travel-sized," he pointed out, Elliot facepalming in a mix of embarrassment and amusement. Isaac could be ridiculous sometimes. "So if I wanted to, say, leave the front door without getting stuck, I'd have to do . . . one second . . ." he continued, squeezing his eyespots shut to focus. Slowly his body started to glow a gentle white, Devidramon's form retracting back until a glowing cocoon of light hovered over Amy's table.
After a second, the cocoon faded and an Impmon was left standing. Still floating above the table, Isaac allowed himself to take a bow. "Focus on sealing away my power, back when I was in a weaker form most of the time.
You remember hatching from the egg, Rin? Try focus on being like that, if only for the next fifteen minutes or so."

As much as Rinji wanted to go back to the Digital World, Elliot and Isaac's experiences with the river certainly didn't make him want to go jumping in. It only increased the urgent need for him to be able to squeeze into a bag.
"Yeah, the Trailmon can be a bit... moody too, sometimes," he interjected into the conversation about Trailmons. A particularly grumpy Trailmon was partially the reason why he'd gotten stuck here, after all. He was justified in feeling just a bit salty. Too bad Trailmon were the only real form of transport... if only there was an alternative, maybe they'd treat their passengers more nicely.
Rinji had never heard of a direct portal like that before though. Except maybe in rumours? Honestly, at this point, he couldn't remember. In fact, he still felt a bit nauseous from earlier, and frankly, couldn't be bothered to think about it.
"Stop being me-sized?" He echoed Elliot questioningly. The whole idea of it sounded promising, but still as out of reach as a meat-flavoured ice-cream.
But then, Isaac appeared to have his own idea on how to explain. "Huh...." What was he doing?
"Ahh!" He couldn't help but jump back a little out of surprise, having seen the massive black dragon suddenly appear out of nowhere again. And then seeing Isaac, as Devidramon, suddenly glow bright white and start shrinking... into an Impmon. Rinji couldn't help but look gobsmacked, still staring in shock as Isaac, now an Impmon, started talking to him.
Try to remember hatching from an egg? "I can't remember..." he mumbled, trying to think back as far as he could. He genuinely couldn't remember, as if there was some sort of mental block. "Come on..." he closed his eyes in concentration, trying to ignore everything else. He had to do it, if it would help him de-digivolve.
Instead, he started thinking back to when he was a Yuramon instead. His first memories... were of meeting Nyaromon. He tried to remember feeling small and vulnerable. And then, the sound of a traffic horn broke him out of his trance.
"Huah!?" Rinji yelped as he lost balance, and hit his head on the table before he fell to the ground. He was now lying on the floor, looking up as he was seeing stars. Suddenly, his body glowed white, and started shrinking into another familiar form. Chilomon.
Any feelings of achievement were lost however, as Rinji, despite this change, was still out cold.

As soon as the discussion went further away from the river, Amy couldn't undoubtedly say that she was completely lost; well, it wasn't like this wasn't among the weirdest topics ever, or that she was pretty much a newbie at them, but... it would be rude to interrupt. Not to say that Rinji seemed to be curious about what was happening.
Her thoughts were promptly interrupted pretty much instantly when Isaac transformed into... that dragon from last night. Well, at least that confirmed her suspicion about not dreaming about it; every bit like she remembered it, even if not as black.
She just stared at the show, too dumbfounded to actually comment anything, at least until the dragon-thing transformed into... a small lizard-kid-thing? She wasn't really sure of it, but at least that seemed way less likely to accidentally wreck her apartment; that was a relief. "Wow." There you go, first words. Digimons were undoubtedly amazing. Not to say a little scary.
The brunette kept on watching as Rinji attempted to do the same, even if he hadn't been that big in first place, and undoubtedly was getting even smaller. What would become, if dark dragon had become lizard-kid-thing? Maybe a smaller centipede? Maybe he could even pass for a real world one! Nah, that was too unlikely. Better to just watch and see.
Eventually, he managed to become... a thing. She wasn't exactly sure what was he at the moment, but at least it was way smaller and... unconscious. "Rin! You okay!" Amy hurried to where the unconscious digimon was and scooped him into her arms, gently trying to shake him awake. "You didn't hit yourself too hard, did you?"
It would probably take him a couple of minutes to regain consciousness but what they would do until then? Maybe the brothers had a plan. "I guess we can't bring him back to his world like this so I guess we just... wait? Unless you have a better idea, that is."

"The worst are the ones that hold grudges," Isaac said, now commiserating with Rinji about the Digital World's less than perfect commuter situation. "I swear, you doze off and miss your stop once, and that Trailmon'll never let it down." At least on a bus, you weren't literally the driver's captive audience. Half the time you couldn't even hear them over everyone's complaining! Issac certainly wouldn't mind having an alternative either.
Of course, Isaac was so busy meditating on this that he almost missed Rinji's attempt at following in his lead. Thankfully, he snapped back to attention in time to see Rinji's attempt, sitting next to Elliot to watch what was going on. The good news: it was a success! The bad news: Rinji fought the table, and the table won fairly decisively. Both Elliot and Isaac ran forward to check on the bug as he slipped up, Elliot kneeling down near him to see how he was doing. "Are you okay?" Elliot asked, gently turning the bug over to inspect him. Did Digimon even have pulses? How was Elliot supposed to properly check?
Then he started glowing white, the two brothers nervously shooting each other looks. Their nervousness only grew more as Rinji glowed white and started shrinking down to an egg type shape. Did he hurt himself that badly? Oh, this wasn't good at all!
Needless to say, it was a huge relief when rather than a Digitama, Rinji had simply reduced back down to his In-Training form. "Thank goodness. That could've been really bad," he said, looking for Amy's comfiest cushion to borrow for Rinji's use. Thankfully, Elliot had already set out The Good Pillow, so there wouldn't need to be much searching.
"He should be fine. Trust me, your average Digimon fight hurts way worse than slipping into a table," Isaac said, regressing back to human form as he spoke. "But he might be a bit groggy. Especially when he wakes up and finds out he's, like, a third as big as he was before. So lets all be patient with him when he wakes up."
