Further ventures into the upper floors proved to be an entertaining, yet useless endeavor; while for some reason they were mostly intact, they also didn't contain anything valuable, that being something which... made a surprising amount of sense, at least to Amy.
Why would anyone destroy a place devoid of both combatants and useful information, after all? It seemed like a complete waste, and she was glad that whoever raided this place agreed. As a plus, that made her journey downward all the more obvious, given that there was nothing to see in here.
However, that seemingly temporary tranquility would meet an abrupt end as soon as the brunette began her descent. Things malfunctioning were an expected result, but that didn't make the event any less frustrating. Not going further down without working for it, huh? That was fair; B1 would have to do.
The teenager's first action when entering into the room was to take a good look, making sure that there wasn't something potentially life-threatening inside. Only after no immediate life hazards were recognized, she began to peruse the room, trying to discern if this was just a room full of engines or if it was something else.
Face value, it seemed! Wondering what was exactly the purposes of the engines, and why some were turned off, Amelie began to slowly turn them on, watching if there was any kind of adverse effect or reaction from the higher output. Since nothing happened, eventually all the generators were turned on... and revealed a new pathway; a set of stairs in the easternmost section.
After giving herself a pat in the back —figuratively—, Amy began to descend the stairs. What would be waiting for her in the depths? There was only one way to find out.

As she walked, the echo of her steps could be heard around the whole place, now that the floor with the multiple engines had been left behind.
B2. QUARANTINE CHAMBER.
The B2 floor consisted of only a hallway. At the end of the aisle, a door with a small monitor stuck to the wall next to it could be seen. Around halfway through the aisle there were two doors, one in front of the other, labeled as Quarantine Room A and Quarantine Room B, each with a card reader next to them where a security card could be slid. If Amelie tried to slide her card through one of these readers, the small screen over the card reader would show: 'LOCKED DOOR. UNLUCK THROUGH THE MAIN COMPUTER OF B2 FIRST' Upon approaching the door at the end of the aisle, Amelie would notice it didn't have a card reader whatsoever. Just the small monitor to its side. If she touched the computer screen, she would notice it was actually a pad. It would immediately show two options under the next sentence: 'WELCOME TO THE QUARANTINE CHAMBER. YOU CAN UNLOCK ONE OF THE QUARANTINE ROOMS OR ENTER A CODE TO MOVE TO B3.' -UNLOCK A QUARANTINE ROOM 'DUE TO SECURITY REASONS, AFTER YOU UNLOCK A ROOM, YOU MUST WAIT 30 MINUTES TO UNLOCK ANOTHER ONE. WHICH ROOM WOULD YOU LIKE TO UNLOCK?
-UNLOCK ROOM A -UNLOCK ROOM B' -MOVE TO B3' 'INSERT THE 5-DIGIT SECURITY CODE TO MOVE TO THE NEXT AREA' the pad would then turn into a numeric keyboard with numbers from 0 to 9.

Talk about a strange place. Quarantine Room A and B? Was this some sort of... infirmary or something of the like? Amelie couldn't be sure, even though the prospect of being confined in the same room, alongside things that needed to be quarantined was... less than ideal, to say the least.
However, she was determined to finish her small exploration trip, and something that sounded mildly concerning wouldn't deter her; after all, what was catching some kind of deadly disease compared to the thrill of exploring something nobody has seen in... well, a lot of years? Because of that, the brunette went once again through the motions of combing the room for any interesting clues or details.
The conclusions? She had no idea of what the code could be, and attempting random combinations was totally out of question; this kind of things could be like a cryptex, for all that she knew. One wrong code and whatever was behind would be lost forever.
What was the alternative? Of course, opening the rooms and hoping something useful would be there. Something useful that didn't try to kill her at the same time, if able! Slowly, she began to type into the pad, making sure that she unlocked Quarantine Room B.
And then... proceeded to wait. What would come out from that room? Would it be dangerous? Interesting? Something else? Time to find out.

Once she pressed the pad, asking to open the room B, the screen began showing a timer at the lower right side. YOU NEED TO WAIT: 29:56 TO OPEN ANOTHER QUARANTINE ROOM. The timer kept going down, but the rest of the functions of the computer could still be used. Meaning it wasn't necessary to wait for the timer to input the code in order to reach the next floor. The door on the left side of the aisle (from where Amelie was standing) opened slowly.
QUARANTINE ROOM B (Main aisle)
Once it was wide open; if Amelie entered, she would find a definitely shorter aisle, with a door at the end just in front of the girl and a door to her right. The door to the right was labeled: 'Quarantine Room B - Observation hall' while the door at the end of the aisle was labeled simply 'Quarantine Room B'. Both doors were of some metallic material and could be opened. QUARANTINE ROOM B- OBSERVATION HALL
At the Observation Hall, a giant desk could be found at the middle of the room. Surprisingly, there was no computer, only a bunch of papers scattered around the also metallic desk surface, some notebooks with really confusing words and sketches, apparently results of a certain type of analysis. The wall at the western side of the hall was completely see-through, allowing anyone from the Observation Hall to see everything going on inside the Quarantine Room. From there, it could be seen how the Quarantine Room was simply a room with white painted walls and a bed. Suddenly, a roar could be heard in the distance. It seemed to come from the upper levels, but not as close as B1. Over the desk, only one piece of paper was clearly readable, labeled 'ExD SUBJECT # 2 - DR- TEMPRA'S FINAL REPORT'.
Dr. Tempra the Gomamon Dr. Henry Blakes (Human) Analysis team seconded to the Quarantine Chamber. -Zevolt XT Building -Basement 2. Contact code: 51994.
Subject ExD # 2 has finally concluded the tests done to it by Dr. Henry and myself, Dr. Tempra. He has reacted positively to the different tests ran by our team and has successfully taken the ExD code. This morning, I heard ExD subject #1 died last night at the Quarantine Room A. Apparently not all kind of digimon are fit for withstanding these kinds of experiments. We discovered pretty much any aquatic digimon would die if they are injected with a full syringe of our purple testing substance. I heard subject # 1 destroyed half the Quarantine Room A, leaving a huge hole that could lead to B3. A team is supposed to cover that whole tomorrow, we already can go to B3 through the door at this level, we don't need a gigantic hole.
ExD Subject #2 is ready for testing, tomorrow, he will be taken to the 1 XT-C Dome, located at 300 meters from here, to be sent to a different Digital World through project ARK.
Honestly, I can't say if this is going to work. The environment is tense and the risk involved around moving the subject so soon is high. I asked the chief of our investigation to delay the test one more week, due to the security reports that state a certain terrorist organization is planning to attack the building looking for the substances we use in our experiments. One week will be enough for the tunnel that goes from B3 to 1 XT-C Dome is completed and we can take the subject through there, without exposing the subject or ourselves to unnecessary danger. I went today to check the tunnel conditions at B3. It is already completed for a regular sized human or a small digimon as myself to go through there, but a gigantic digimon as ExD Subject # 2 won't fit just yet, we should wait a week. Nevertheless, the chief doesn't seem to be willing to wait, she wants to run the tests tomorrow. By the way, I think I dropped my card-key to 1 XT-C Dome over there this morning when I went to check the state of the tunnel. I'll go there to pick it up tomorrow morning, before the transfer of ExD Subject # 2. I'm just writing that here so I don't forget. I probably dropped it around one of the machines scattered around the place.
If ExD Subject # 2 or these substances fall in wrong hands, I don't know what could happen. An army of genetically modified digimon ran by terrorists could be devastating not only to Elysium but for the Digital World as we know it.
If the transportation of the subject is completed successfully, I will write one more report, telling how did the transfer through project ARK go. I just have a bad feeling about this.

At least going through what could be seen in here, there wasn't much to investigate in the first quarantine room; its layout was simple enough, and the things to inspect were few. One was the room itself, which was empty at the moment and the others were Doctor Tempra's notes. Figuring she didn't have anything better to do —and doing her best to ignore the roar that had been heard at the distance—, Amelie began to read the notes carefully, from start to end.
The result? She seemed thoughtful for the whole deal, even though she had managed to draw more than a few conclusions; the first one was that, no matter how she thought about all the foreign concepts introduced by this place, the brunette's mind couldn't quite adapt to them all, and the fact that these digimons/humans were already dealing with parallel dimensions was both admirable and... disturbing, in all honesty. The experiments themselves had their own quota of gruesomeness, and while she could understand why that was necessary, it all seemed to be awfully inefficient. Being in a hurry justified it somewhat, but... that probably only made the project's chances of failing even higher.
Good news? She could get to B3 if she was patient, given that a hole had been opened in quarantine room A led there; this was her lucky day, probably? Due to that very reason, she began to take care of what she could as enough time passed for her to enter the other room. Of course, that meant taking pictures of the Doctor's notes with her phone until they were all saved up.
If the roars came closer, Amy would get ready for the next battle, and if not? Time to get to Quarantine Room A as soon as the timer ran out! Hopefully, that'd help Amelie to get the answers she sook.

The silence that reign across the observation hall of Quarantine Room B started getting more and more invaded by the roars coming from the upper floors. Amelie could actually hear how they got closer and closer. Stomping could be heard as far as B1 now, just above the girl. It seemed like a pretty heavy, mighty creature, was lurking around the generator room. The movement stopped, and silence took over the room again. After not even 3 seconds, the deafening sound of the roof breaking wrapped the layout. A giant seal-like digimon fell from the upper level, around him; debris from the collapsing structure and even steams of water. He was a gigantic beast, around the height of the room, it had a long, black horn, big fangs, a shiny white pelt and glimmering blue eyes, like the ones of the French girl. Next to it, another digimon made its appearance, falling from the roof too. It was blue manta ray-like creature of a fairly big size. If Amelie used her scanner, in case she needed it, she would actually be able to see the species of both creatures: Ikkakumon and Mantaraymon. Ikkaumon let go a roar, which pointed at him like the digimon roaring from above. Upon a closer look, these two digimon didn't seem like being part of the facility, they were completely healthy and didn't seem to have been subjects of any kind of experiments. The water falling from the upper level through the hole may help confirm this hypothesis, they seemed to somehow have entered the building through the upper levels, which would explain why water had managed to enter this previously dry basements. If the attention was turned at the current facts: two adult stage digimon had entered the room, leaving almost no space to move, while the room slowly flooded with water. Suddenly, electric shocks began to come out of the Mantaraymon's tail. The door to the Quarantine Room B main aisle was still currently accessible. If Amelie took that and headed to the main aisle of the floor, where the door to Quarantine Room A was located, she would notice another creature coming down by the stairs from the first floor, blocking the way back. Amelie was left with the door to B3 as her only escape route. Did she have a code to unlock this? Or was she going to try her luck against the invaders?

Apparently, things were getting dicier by the second! The roars began to become louder and louder, Amelie herself getting ready for whoever (or whatever) came in her way; fighting had never been out of question, after all.
The moment of respite had been a welcome change, even though it had ended rather abruptly. She hadn't expected for two digimon to appear suddenly, and for them to be completely unrelated to this place; Ikkakkumon and Mantaraymon, her digivice would tell her. Why they were after her, or chasing against somebody who had no inherent value? A fair question, even if one she wouldn't be able to ask.
Suddenly, water began to get into the room, and that probably was her cue to escape as fast as she could; drowning while inside a ruin wasn't exactly a pleasant way to go, yet... how to do it? The other room wouldn't be open for a while, and she had no clue about what could be the code to open the passageway.
Except, maybe...
Well, this was going to be risky, and the chances of it paying off weren't great, but that probably was better than this place becoming her watery grave. The first motion, of course, was to spirit evolve; a small arc of data formed on the brunette's right palm, suddenly colliding with her D-Tector and allowing her to evolve into Driftermon. Sure, it wasn't exactly a form to fight that pair, but it was small, relatively agile and maneuverable; three qualities that neither her human form or any of the other spirits in her repertoire possessed. And that wasn't to mention that it didn't need to breathe; a big plus in this situation.
Moving quickly, the aberration would try to weasel its way back towards the end of the aisle, its tendrils quickly pushing the numbers corresponding to '51994'. Considering that now an Anomalocarimon was part of the mix, getting the hell out of this place seemed like the most sensible thing to do in order to preserve one's life.

Anomalocarimon backed up for a while as he saw the human evolving. He didn't act like a brainwashed digimon, but like he knew exactly what he was doing. After seeing the form the girl had acquired the anthropoid seemed kind of confused, like it was a digimon it had never seen before. Without uttering a word, it started moving fastly towards the tendriled creature in front of him. Ready to tear her apart.
The computer in front of Driftermon kept showing the timer to open Quarantine Room A.
YOU NEED TO WAIT: 07:16 TO OPEN ANOTHER QUARANTINE ROOM.
Of course, she didn't have that amount of time, which became fairly obvious when the wall to her left exploded, shattering in pieces thanks to one of Ikkakumon's harpoons. The white pelted creature, who was, of course, unable to get out of Quarantine Room B Observation Hall, was making his way to Driftermon, while Mantaraymon, just behind him, kept shooting electric shocks while the whole floor kept being flooded by water.
The computer took a brief loading time after Driftermon introduced the code to then show a different screen.
WRONG CODE.
Was shown in red letters. ...
A brief message showed right after, between parenthesis.
(Haha! Got you, Dr. Tempra. I'm glad you're using the right code, you always tend to forget. Thanks for always working so hard. Your friend, Dr. Henry Blakes).
...
VALID CODE.
The door then opened fairly quick, even though it might have felt like an eternity to someone about to be devoured by aquatic digimon. If Driftermon headed for B3, the door will shut down immediately after she crossed, even though it showed it could be opened again from that side, using a computer to its side and the same code. Going down the stairs, Driftermon would finally find the third basement, where another set of different machines could be found. This room had a much poorly decorated layout; like it was dedicated to only transport subjects. Which would raise her attention immediately, was a crystal wall, with a locked down door and a card slider next to it. If Driftermon tried to attack the crystal wall, she would discover it was made of an ultra-resistant material, making it impossible to get to the other side if she didn't went through the door. Of course, if she tried with the card that she currently owned, the door wouldn't open, showing: YOU NEED A DOCTOR CARD KEY TO ACCESS THIS TUNNEL.
Through the transparent material, she could see on the other side there was an at least 4 meters tall door which seemed to lead to some sort of tunnel, also protected by a crystal wall of the same kind. The door she had close to her was labeled: 'Door to 1 XT-C Dome'.
Summarizing up: She had two doors to go through to get to the tunnel, but no key card to even open the first one. Her next choice should be made keeping in mind the most important piece of information she had found since she got to the basements: Dr. Tempra's notes.

If Driftermon had been able to to experience sight or hearing, Amelie would've probably had a heart attack on the spot; right now, she was just getting impatient, and had considered for a split second that the code maybe wasn't the right one. Before beginning to silently pray to any higher entity in existence, the door suddenly opened, and the digimon was able to sneak right in before being turned into an appetizer.
Giving herself a second to internally doing the equivalent of sighing in relief, Amy advanced towards the third basement. While a lot cruder in design; and only one way to go through; a way that couldn't involve brute force, at least for now. But... at least she still remembered most of the doctor's notes, and that gave her a pretty good idea of what to do.
Slowly, the digimon would begin to scour every inch of space at her disposition, trying to find the so-called 'Doctor Card Key'. It was either that or spending the rest of her life in solitaire confinement.
Definitely not something to look forward to, so better to get to work. And... to make matters worse, who knew if her pursuers would also be able to get through the door that separated them at the moment; if that was the case, her time was... really limited.

While Driftermon moved around the layout of the room, which was actually quite simple to explore, a trembling could be felt. If she turned towards the vibration, she would feel there were parts of the roof falling on the ground, something was tearing apart the roof's surface from the upper floor. She had limited time until her persecutors broke into B3.
If she continued with her scavaging, it would take her a while to finally touch a small card next to one of the machines in the room. It was of a metallic material and it seemed to have been abandoned for years.
Having acquired the card, if Driftermon slid it through the reader next to the door attached to the crystal wall; after waiting a while... she would realize the door haven't opened. What was wrong? The door might have issued a message on its screen, but in her current form, of course, Amelie couldn't know. Why didn't the key-card worked? She may need to acquire a form that allowed her to know this. Actually, there might be something else that could be seen through the crystal wall that could give her some more information on what do to, but again, she wouldn't know, since she couldn't touch it.
The roof finally started shattering, a hole had been made in the roof by Anomalocarimon, who entered B3 through it. If Amelie could see, she would spot Ikkakumon's paws digging through the same hole made by the anthropoid, to enter the floor too, since it apparently couldn't fit through there, due to his size.

Well, things were definitely getting dicey; the tremors coming from upwards could only mean one thing. If Amelie didn't hurry, she'd be seafood food; was there a worse way to die? Yeah, there definitely were, but that didn't mean that the brunette wanted to die!
It took her some moments of searching, but she finally found the card she was looking for. Hurriedly, she went back to where the crystal wall was and slid said card.
Nothing. At least the adrenaline made her mind function quickly enough to discern that maybe there would be further instructions for her to follow, and that those instructions may not be visible due to the way the Driftermon perceived her surroundings.
Sure, it actually increased the risk of the brunette becoming minced meat, but at least it wouldn't be a certainty, which would be the inevitable result if she remained that way. Quickly, and while doing her best to mentally prepare to overcome the daze that always got to her each time she went to her human form, Amy undid her evolution.
She staggered as her senses rushed back to her, but eventually managed to focus her sight on the card reader ahead of her and... whatever else there was. With any luck, this hadn't been in vain.

Having recovered her senses, Amelie could start noticing many things at once. First of all, Ikkakumon's hole up the roof had gotten much bigger, and the hairy seal was about to enter the floor too. Mantaraymon had fallen through the hole made by Anomalocarimon. It wasn't hard to figure out the small stingray was the most dangerous of them all, due to its electric techniques that covered a whole room. The screen on the card reader computer was still showing a message.
'YOU HAVE SLID DR. TEMPRA'S CARD KEY. PLEASE NOW SLIDE DR. BLAKE'S CARD KEY TO OPEN DOOR C1'
If she looked through the crystal wall she would notice the second door had opened. But the one right in front of her remained closed. This door was labeled C1, while the recently opened door (after the crystal wall) was labeled C2. A second message then showed on the computer.
'YOU HAVE 1 MINUTE TO SLIDE YOUR OTHER CARDKEY OR BOTH DOORS WILL CLOSE. AFTER THIS, YOU MUST WAIT 30 MINUTES TO TRY AGAIN.'
Summing up: The second door had opened, but the first one, right in front of Amelie remained closed. She needed the other card key to open the first one. If she went through the room with her gaze, Amelie would notice that, after the crystal wall, a pretty big hole could be found on the roof of that gap between door C1 and C2, where she couldn't get to thanks to the door C1 being closed. The hole seemed to come from B2. She could notice that hole had not been made for any of her current enemies, since they all were on the other side of the crystal wall, with her.
Now, Ikkakumon had managed to make the hole he had been digging big enough for him to fit, as he fell into the room as well. He was right in front of the door that went back to B2, blocking it completely. Anomalocarimon started moving quickly towards the girl, trying to pierce through her with his tail. If she managed to dodge this attack, she would get trapped between Ikkakumon and the anthropoid. Time kept going, she had to quickly get rid of Ikkakumon if she wanted to get to B2 (In case she considered going back there could help) Did she have something that could immediately take Ikkakumon out? Maybe the answer to that was either between the stuff she had picked during this trip, Dr. Tempra's notes, or both.

This was getting harder by the second, and the worst part about it was that Amelie couldn't permit herself to waste an instant or she'd be dead meat. Her mind raced with everything that had gone thus far in her travel since descending, eventual and suddenly illuminating with an idea.
It would be as risky as it could be, but a chance of surviving handily beat dying for sure, so it was worth a shot. The brunette left her infini-store in the ground as the opposing digimons began to break into the room, an arc of data once again beginning to form on her right hand.
The solved dodecahedron rested in the floor as the teenager's complexion was replaced by something bigger, heavier and definitely not friendlier. Stridermon's pale and sinuous figure rose up; time was of the essence, so better to get working.
First order of business? A lone tendril browsed the storing device until the aberration found the bags that contained the medicines, reaching for the one that had the purple liquid. Unceremoniously, it was brought out, and the bag that protected the syringe was neatly torn to shreds.
Any aquatic digimon would die if they were injected with a that, at least if Dr. Tempra wasn't lying. Without paying much heed to it, the infini-store was... well, stored back into Stridermon's data makeshift as it did the bare minimum to prevent Anomalocarimon's stinger from hitting anything vital; pretty much everything else could be grown again given enough time.
Gaining a sudden burst of speed, the digimon moved right towards where the Ikkakkumon was located, then proceeded try to stab the giant walrus with the syringe; if it was successful at deleting the mammal, Stridermon would move upwards, hoping that those seven minutes and odd seconds had passed already, unlock Quarantine Room A and get inside as quickly as possible.
Would the aberration find the tunnel dug by the test subject who tried to escape? If it did, the rest was history. Time to leave her pursuers biting the dust and get the hell out of here, hopefully before the minute she had in order to get through the previously-unlocked door was up. Stridermon slashed Lightning Implant.
——WG-29 Card Name: Lightning Implant Type: Modify Rank: Gold Duration: 3 Post Effect: The target Digimon's speed is increased to three times to that of its original speed.
Slashes left for the thread: 6.

The burst of speed granted by Lightning Implant stopped Anomalocarimon from getting a direct hit, simply managing to rip apart one of Stridermon's extremities, letting it tangled around his tail that immediately after the attack hit the crystal wall that Amelie was previously in front of, making it release a brutal electric shock that hurt the anthropoid badly. Meanwhile, Mantaraymon kept throwing electric shocks around the whole layout, electrocuting Stridermon as hard as it could, but not damaging her enough to make her lose consciousness or leaving her unable to move, even though the pain she felt was definitely hard to ignore. Due to the speed its attacker moved with, Ikkakumon couldn't really do a thing to stop Stridermon from stabbing the middle part of his body with the purple filled syringe. He roared in anger, at first, since he felt no kind of pain from the injection. He raised his right paw to hit Driftermon, but just before he managed to strike, he let go a deafening squeal of pain, closing his eyes and rolling on the ground, out of pure suffering, leaving a space for a wounded Driftermon to go up the stairs into B2. Just when the door to B2 opened, a huge amount of water started coming out towards B3. B2 was completely flooded with water, not even the holes made by her prosecutors leading to B3 could stop the flooding of the room, the water was coming with great might from B1. Luckily, the computer next to the door seemed to still be working. YOU NEED TO WAIT: 00:04 TO OPEN ANOTHER QUARANTINE ROOM. Was the message it showed, the timer getting to 0 while Driftermon asked to open Quarantine Room A. As the door opened, the water immediately flooded the room, if she could see, going through the room, she would have seen 'ExD SUBJECT # 1 - DR- TEMPRA'S FINAL REPORT', completely destroyed thanks to the water. Apparently, due to not doing everything in the minimum amount of time, there was some information regarding the case Amelie would never know about. Leaving this sad truth behind, the good (and most important) news were that the hole was in fact right at the center of Quarantine Room A, allowing her to go through it and reaching B3 again, now she being at the other side of the crystal. The door to the tunnel, labeled C2, was slowly starting to close. If she would have any time (or the possibility) to look back, into the other side of the glass, she would have seen Ikkakumon was no longer there. If Driftermon tried to go through the door, she would feel she was unable to. The door was around 2 meters in height and was half closed by then, so she had to be much smaller to fit.If Amelie managed to enter, she would find a relatively dry tunnel (only a 20% flooded with water due to the steam that entered whole the door was opened), extremely long and dark, made my cold metallic walls. A sign could be read stuck to one of the tunnel's walls. TUNNEL TO 1 XT-C DOME. THIS PROJECT IS NOT COMPLETED. PLEASE DO NOT GO ACROSS THIS TUNNEL IF YOU'RE OVER 2 METERS HEIGHT. ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME BY WALKING: 10 MINUTES.
WARNING, HUMAN OR DIGIMON: JUST AFTER ENTERING THIS TUNNEL, IMMEDIATELY REMOVE ANY KIND OF PROTECTION ON YOUR FEET/PAWS OR HANDS. DO NOT WALK THROUGH THIS TUNNEL WITH GLOVES, BOOTS, SOCKS OR ANY TYPE OF CLOTHES OR ARMOR IN HANDS OR FEET. HUMANS MUST WALK THROUGH THIS TUNNEL WITH NO PROTECTION WHATSOEVER IN THEIR HANDS AND ON THEIR BARE FEET.
At the end of such tunnel 1 XT-C Dome was waiting for her, that place she found at the start of the adventure and that she was originally trying to get in, turned out to be her final destination.

Well, that had been quite the trip. Time had been of the essence during the whole endeavor, and even though Amelie had sustained quite a bit of injuries, that was totally fine; Stridermon's body would heal on its own, given enough time, and that's what mattered the most at the moment. The likely loss of information was a shame, but it was something that more or less couldn't have been avoided.
The following moments happened in a flash, and before it could notice, the aberration was already near the door that was slowly closing in, even if there was a small... problem; its size. A problem that was easily solved, but that required something that made the brunette doubtful every time; reverting back to her human form.
This time there was no time to waste, so after a quick devolution, she would hopefully be able to fit into the door before it closed. What was inside? A dark, narrow tunnel; luckily, Amy still had her trusty flashlight in order to illuminate the signs.
No clothes or protection whatsoever on her hands and feet, huh? Well, that was doable, even if she couldn't but wonder if the flashlight counted as 'protection'; better to be safe than sorry, right? Making sure to store all the now-unneeded pieces of clothing in her infini-store, Amelie proceeded to affix the flashlight on her clothes as she advanced through the tunnels.
It'd be a relatively short journey, ending in a place that, honestly, had been in her mind for a while; not entirely unexpected, but kinda surprising nonetheless. Would be this the true end of her journey, or would somewhere else be found in here? In all honesty, Amy wondered if the people in here truly had managed to complete the whole parallel-dimension skipping device, and as unlikely as that was, at least being able to take a peek at what they had accomplished would probably be an enlightening experience. Probably.
Slowly, and displaying a measure of caution despite the excitement she felt, the brunette entered the dome.
