As for Amber?
It was a long few hours. The foot was one thing, but even that one 'casual' swipe from the Grizzlymon's claw had caused a lot of damage, and the doctor had to work diligently to make sure that everything was back in place. Her foot, her ribs, her skin, her insides - everything had to be analyzed and treated carefully, and the doctor, with his utmost focus, made sure that he had done everything right.
A little over three hours later, Amber would finally return to the living room. Honestly, it was a little jarring: when she had last fell asleep, she had a twisted ankle and a number of injuries - but with a combination of Mikemon's care and his own healing, the fox was right back up on her feet, without a single bandage and a brace on that twisted foot, 'just in case'. And, slowly, Amber would walk over, and take a seat right on the couch.
Hands folded, as she stared down at the table, a near blank expression on her face. Physically, she was alright. But mentally?
Those were deep wounds.

What was coal going to do during all of the waiting? Well she’d eat and eventually would get sent off to bed; to rest and recover. Silence wasn’t a harsh parent and she knew when it was time to talk over things. Right after the fact? She couldn’t berate them or make them feel bad. She had to make sure they were okay and then they’d talk over this stuff when they could.
She’d spend most of her time in the kitchen and eventually when she heard the door open… And footsteps that were definitely in stride of what she had placed with amber. She’d come out with that platter. Setting it down on the table and taking a seat next to her daughter.
She wouldn’t say a word, not much was really needed. She could tell that something was the matter and slowly the shutmon would put her arm around her daughter. She was there for support and to talk if needed but silence was all right too. A bit of awkward irony considering her name and the fact that the shutmon was very much so opposite of her namesake.
What else was she supposed to do? This entire event on it’s own was enough to make sure that they wouldn’t do something foolish like this again. Not without at least talking to their parents and figuring out the best course of action.
That being said, eventually silence would have to speak up, only saying her daughter’s name…
”Amber…?”

Sometimes, simply being there was enough.
Amber didn't respond at first. She felt that arm around her shoulder, the fox simply giving a blink, closing her eyes as she just tried to think. Think about what had happened, what had led up to all of this... and how all of it was, really, her fault. The avalanche, her unable to hold off the bear, and her inability to ultimately protect her little sister from danger. It was a harsh lesson that the world simply thrust into her arms.
That one word hit her ear. It gave a flick... and just like that, it seemed that the dam broke. Whatever Amber had done to keep herself composed simply became undone in that one moment, as Amber turned to face her mother, grasped onto both of her shoulders, and buried her head right against Silence's shoulders. There were no words. Only a stream of tears from the Renamon's eyes, as Amber started to bawl, loudly crying as she held onto her mother for support.
Today was way too much, for both of them.

Silence knew something was definitely wrong with her child; something was eating at her. So she simply wanted to be there for them.
Her arm remained around her child and she stared quietly towards the fireplace as it crackled. She didn’t know all that had happened and she wasn’t going to force it. So she simply waited. With her speaking like that whatever was being held back broke. The composure of her child breaking in half almost immediately. She was almost surprised but then the shutmon’s expression softened. Slowly shifting to hold her daughter against her. She could feel the wetness of the tears from them and she’d gingerly rub the other’s back.
”It’s okay amber… momma’s here…”
Silence would be there for her daughter as long as they needed her, holding them close against her and even shifting so rather than being pushed against the uncomfortable shoulder her daughter would have her mother’s chest to bawl against instead. Simply hugging her and rubbing along the other’s back.
Hopefully this didn’t leave too much in terms of damage but silence could tell that amber had a lot of pent up emotions from today; just what had all happened? She figured that the bear had been the cause of most of it but she likely would find out what was what here in a bit…
Meanwhile?
Coal was staring up at the ceiling; unable to really sleep and just sort of zoning out. Her second pair of glasses resting on her face. Her ears flicked and she’d turn her head at hearing her sister’s bawling. She couldn’t help but bite her lower lip and sit up. Wondering if she should come out there… or if that’d just make it worse.
She’d sigh a bit and flop back onto the bed, unsure of what she should do. In terms of things today was rough and she wanted to sleep but… she just felt so restless and so… useless! She’d grit her teeth and curl her hands up into fists.
Next time I won’t be so useless…

Amber cried.
It was an earnest cry, a sorrowful one for everything that had happened today. She held close to her mother for support, not seeking words, not seeking understanding. Right now, what Amber needed was a pillar, someone she could rely on to take every bit of this. She forced herself to try and be strong, to be there for Coal, to protect her dear sister. For everything to come so close to tragedy?
It was likely too much for her. And so she'd press on for another twenty minutes like this, until the fox's crying started to taper out. And what Silence would be left with was a quiet, sleeping Renamon in her arms. Maybe it would be best to simply put her to bed, and deal with the rest of this in the morning. "Ugh..."
A good ten minutes after that? Silence would hear the front lock open - and right in front of a Meiphemon, Syre would stumble on in, a paw held to her head as she made her way into the living area. Whatever had happened today, Syre seemed absolutely beat - like she had just come down with something nasty in Luminas.
Food poisoning? General illness? Or something else? Her data signal didn't exactly seem stable, even for Silence's untrained eyes. "I'd say... a five-out-of-ten right now." She answered Holly's last question - and honestly, it was a lot better than the 'two' she gave right after lunch. "Dad's data's never done this before, so maybe I did just catch something? I haven't been to the Dark Area a lot, maybe the water's just bad... ugh..."

Silence sat there, just holding her daughter and being there the best she could.
It was all she really could do for her; being that pillar for her. She felt her resolve harden a bit and she’d hug her daughter against her chest. Letting them cry against her; bawling their eyes out… And then twenty minutes later?
She had a sleeping renamon in her arms; the shutmon’s eyes softened and she’d gingerly pick her daughter up. Cradling their head against them and taking them to their bed. All the while humming softly. She’d have to deal with this in the morning; have to talk to them and have to ease them into recovery.
For now? She’d put them to their bed, tucking them in and slowly rubbing the top of their head to comfort them. She’d sit by them for a little bit before slowly easing their way out of the room.
”...They need more don’t they…? But will it ever be enough for either of them?”
Silence had to wonder to herself before sitting down on the couch; staring listlessly into the fireplace. She didn’t want her children to be unsafe but there was only so much she could ask to prepare them. Was the training they had not enough or was it just so early that they didn’t really know what to do?
”Tch…”
Syre on the other hand was greeted with a much different viewpoint; the older sister was given a bit of a wide bearth at first so that she could sit down. She’d lean this way or that and then move to help the blackgatomon. Huffing softly as she started to fuss over them.
”Lets see if we can get some tea going and something to even out your signal..”
Silence figured that some food and something to drink would do for now. While holly went to seek out her father; nodding her head as the other answered her question. If the other had caught something it would be easy to see but… Really all they could do was let the doctor of the family handle the kids.
”Jeez… It could be that? I don’t know. I’ve never seen data flare like that before… Don’t think it’s food poisoning..”
Coal flicked her ears when she heard the two voices of her elder siblings, she’d sit up in bed and ease out of it. Putting on her glasses and making her way over to the door. Putting her ear up to it for a moment before pulling it open.
What she could see was a mess, holly was flustered, silence was pensive and syre? Well her core looked far far more purple to the point of where even the glasses weren’t doing anything for that aura. She’d furrow her brow and step out of her room for a second…
”Syre…?”

For Mikemon, today, his 'day off', would end up being the busiest day of the week.
As Syre was given room, sitting back on that couch, the BlackGatomon stifled another groan - not wanting to seem impolite to Silence's offer. "Tea sounds... good, honestly, but can you stuff it full of ice? I'm too hot as it is." Past that, it wouldn't take long for Holly to fetch Mikemon, the doctor-cat forcing a smile on his face as he looked towards his daughter.
"I told ya - close your doors and tell 'em to leave, and Luminas won't do anything to mess with you." At least Mikemon got that much right! He'd motion for Syre to sit up, using a stethoscope to listen to Syre's pulse before taking a look into her ear. Syre, meanwhile, gave a sigh. "Really, I can only tell you what it feels like... and it feels like my data signal doesn't match what I am."
"And one more thing..." Muttering to himself, Mikemon held up his red crystal, peering through it to look deep into Syre's core. Moments later, he'd give a blink, and dispel the crystal. "Central core is still operating normally - no signs of any stress or damage. Its not 'misfiring', rather, its just firing in a way you're not used to. Repressing your own data habits is causing parts of your core to work to try and catch up."
"Meaning what, exactly?" Syre shook her head - and gave a nod towards Coal. "Hi, sis..."
"Simply put?" Mikemon held out his paw - red-and-black flames briefly dancing off of them, before he closed it into a fist, dispelling it. "It seems you did inherit more than mom's fire-and-ice."

Silence nodded her head and well; there was such a thing as iced tea! She knew how to make it and it wasn’t going to be too difficult for her to do so. Holly thankfully was quick to grab mikemon and she’d lean up against the wall. Content to let her father take hold of all this; she already had to deal with telling the luminas ‘police’ to leave her space.
”They were really concerned and were getting quite forceful, I told them to come back with a warrant if they wanted to enter. They got really grumpy after that.”
Holly shrugged her shoulders and silence couldn’t help but snort a bit at hearing that. She’d give syre her tea and then take a seat on one of the side chairs. Hearing that it was operating normally and it was just… firing differently holly furrowed her brows. What did that mean for all of them?
Coal blinked a bit and looked between silence, syre and mikemon. She was very confused here and then tilted her head to one side. What else did syre inherit? She’d blink and then slowly voice her question.
”There’s… more than just fire and ice? Wait… ma only has ice though? I haven’t seen her use fire at all.”
Silence paused and rubbed at her neck; wondering what she was supposed to say to that exactly. She didn’t want to broach on this subject at the right moment. But holly was quick to at least move that conversation out of the way.
”He’s meaning something to do with her core. Silence has a lot of knight stuff and da well…”
She’d sigh a bit and flip flop her hand in such a way to indicate a very other grouping…
”Has a data type that most don’t see for quite some time. If syre got it that means that two out of fou… Five kids have it. Which also means the possibility that each kid has some typing of that energy. Knight or what da has in him.”
Holly huffed, coal looked rather confused and silence frowned as she wasn’t exactly sure what holly was getting at. Coal pulled her glasses down just a bit and.. Certainly enough both her older sister and father looked fairly similar at least at a glance…
”So… what did syre inherit Da?”

"Good girl."
Mikemon managed to spare a chuckle in Holly's direction - and for Coal's first question, well, that was honestly easy to explain. "Not every Digimon exhibits all of the traits they are capable of having. Silence's data is recessive for a fire attribute, which was enough for Syre to inherit both. Its also how Holly has lightning, even though Silence doesn't use it all that much."
No part of that was a lie, and really, Mikemon didn't feel like getting to the details about it right now. It wasn't surprising that Coal would continue to press - she was a curious sort, after all - and as Holly's explanation fell short, the doctor would just answer: "Simply put, I'm descended from the Dark Area, and have quite a strong connection to Demon Lord energy. And Syre seems to have inherited the same."
"Ugh... I don't want it if this is how its going to make me feel..." Taking the iced tea in hand, Syre gave a nice, long drink - slow enough to not be of a concern, but it was quite clear that the feline was dehydrated, especially as she poured herself another tall glass. "This was supposed to be my one day off, but no, my core decides to practically revolt with this stuff? Ugh, sorry Holly... the smoothies did taste good up there, though..."
"There, there - you can't help what you can't control, hun." The cat gave a small smile - then looked over to Coal. "And you? You're tired. I know its probably hard for you to sleep this early - do you want a sleep aid, just for tonight?"

Holly brightened a bit and shifted her weight, lily coming down to rest on her shoulder while mikemon went about explaining stuff to coal. She’d tilt her head to one side as he continued. Coal seemed to understand here or there; silence had access to fire, ice and lightning? That was definitely a dangerous amount of access. She had to wonder where her own powers came from but that was a conversation from another time.
”Huh.. That’s a surprise to hear really…”
Coal mumbled a bit and flicked her ears forward; so he had a strong connection to the demon lord energy? Why was that? Wait demonlords? Coal blinked slowly and didn’t seem to understand that at all. But looking to her sister she’d sigh softly.
”Well maybe next time we can go somewhere else that’s a little more chill! And yeah! Wish we could have got some more though...”
Holly chirped and went off to the kitchen; if syre was guzzling down the stuff that quickly the amount that silence made wouldn’t last that long! So another pitcher would have to be made for her… Silence on the other hand leaned to look at her youngest daughter.
”I don’t really think sleeping is gonna help me too much this time around da. Lots of rolling and just… thinking about some stuff. I’ll go lay down if that’ll make you happy though?”
Coal sighed a bit and shrugged her shoulders; she earnestly wasn’t tired. But good lord was she frustrated about all of this. Sleeping only for a couple hours seemed to do wonders for her so… She’d turn about to go back into her room. Wondering quietly to herself why their family kept on having issues all of a sudden.
”She did sleep some while you were working on amber.. So that’s probably why. She must be upset too.”
Silence sighed a bit and leaned back in her seat, staring up at the ceiling. Like mother like daughter it seemed. She seemed just the right amount of pensive for everything that had happened today.
”Might need to have the next few days be a break for the two of them… just so we can handle everything.”

"Heh... I'm looking forward to it, Holly."
The tired feline gave a nod as Holly went back into the kitchen, before lying back against the couch. Dear lord, did a nap sound good right now... and as for Coal? "Alright, you don't have to sleep, but you do have to go lie down. Grab a book, read, whatever you want - I just want you off of your feet, and relaxing. You might not feel it right now, but you're almost out of energy, Coal."
He gave a nod, and a small sigh as Coal walked out. And as Silence brought up Amber, Syre found herself tilting her head. "... I'm going to guess its why you didn't drop everything and come to Luminas over this... what happened with the foxes?"
"Well..." As Holly came back into the room? Mikemon explained everything. The avalanche. The bear. How, just a few hours ago, Amber was on wits end, and Coal was almost just as bad. He let Silence fill in the gaps, and as the story progressed, the color seemed to drain from Syre's face.
"... Dear lord, the two of them just had a Seadramon incident..." Syre gave a sigh, shaking her head.
"... Something like that." The doctor returned a light chuckle. "And yes, we're all going to take a break over the next few days. Syre needs to acclimate to her 'new' data signature, Coal and Amber need to mentally recover, Silence needs to spend as much time with her cubs as she can... and Holly..."
The doctor tilted his head. "... Shouldn't have to have everything dumped onto her by that wolf. Calling it now, its time we had a nice family reprieve."

”And this time maybe we can get that really big one! The one you didn’t want to get cause you were worried about brainfreeze!”
The meiphemon laughed a bit and went into the kitchen proper; leaving the four alone for the time being. Coal on the other hand sighed softly and rubbed at her arm with one hand. She’d turn her head to look to her father and just slowly nodded her head.
”There’s some books of holly’s I haven’t read yet…”
Coal didn’t look too happy at the idea of having to be laying down for the moment but really what could she do? Silence on the other hand she’d just sigh and give a small shake of her head. With mikemon filling in syre she’d chip in here or there. She’d raise a brow at hearing the ‘seadramon incident’.
”Not sure what that means but it sounds bad…”
Silence glanced to the doctor and tilted her head as he explained they all needed to take a break over the next few days. She’d frown a bit and then without much issue pull her phone out. Texting someone that immediately responded like they had been waiting for her.
”Spose I can always rely on him to be prompt… Guess that’s what you get for being a guard dog huh Sep…”
She’d snort a bit and then pause as she put her phone away. There was one question in her head that she wasn’t sure if was appropriate to ask…
”Wait how did he text me…? He doesn’t have thumbs…”
She looked flabbergasted and just shook her head. Holly having a break would be strange and everyone being here? It would be like a big family get together. Silence would sit next to mikemon and just ease back into the seat. Staring at syre for a moment.
”Well… My mercs should be able to hold down the fort. I know Sep and Lux at the very least won’t mind. Not sure about the other two… and doesn’t joseph pretty much patrol nonstop now days anyways?”
Silence shrugged her shoulders and glanced back towards the two doors that led to coal or ambers chambers. Her expression softened and then she’d just stand up. She started to walk towards the door figuring that she might as well handle this...
”I’m going out to pick some stuff up. I have an idea. One that i think will really help.”

Ah, right - Silence wasn't fully caught up on that little adventure, was she? Syre blinked at the 'Seadramon incident' comment, but waved it off for the moment. "I'll tell you about it later - I don't want to put more on Holly's plate right now."
That aside? Silence was quick to make arrangements in regards to covering for the Knights. As she did so, Mikemon would fluff up a pillow, and help Syre to rest her head back, nodding to Silence's comments. "At this point, the Knights really are just that one tamer pair and, well, this family. With how small they are right now, I hope the wolf hasn't made too many long-term promises to their clientele..."
The doctor shook his head at that. And as Silence made her way out towards the main door, the doctor would give a nod.
... And then he would call out: "Hey, Silence?" It took a moment after that, but the doctor would give a smile. "I'm proud of them. I know its been a long, scary, and stressful day... but they're home. They're safe."
"So... don't beat yourself up over what happened."

”All right. Can’t say that I’m not curious.”
Silence gave a small shrug; it was something that sounded like she should know about. It was frustrating cause it must have been before… well before she was around. She’d rub at her neck somewhat awkwardly and then smiled at mikemon.
”I don’t think so; most of it at this point is just trying to make sure things don’t explode.”
Silence paused at the door and sighed; her shoulders sagging a little bit at the last part. She wasn’t exactly beating herself up but… She definately felt like she needed to do what she was about to. They needed a way back and a way home along with a few other things… they didn’t know any better did they?
”I’m proud of them too; but I’m more angry that this had to happen to them than anything. I feel like I failed them somehow but… I’m not sure how.”
Silence grumbled a bit and stepped out; she’d be gone for quite some time. Having to pick around at the various shops and eventually even picking something up from the bakery. She’d come back home a few hours later; two bags in either hand and gently push open the door. She’d make sure to tip toe to the kitchen before setting it down…
”Lessee…”
She had one of her own; a portal device but she knew that the twins didn’t. So she had picked up one of those for each of them. The next was two varied infinity storages; both of which were keyed towards her children… And the last thing?
Well she had got a half and half cake; one half that she knew that coal liked and the other half that she knew that amber liked. It was still warm and there was instructions on how to keep it that way…
”Turn the oven to this degree… it’ll bake the cake a little more and make sure that the icecream inside doesn’t melt entirely…”

The house that Silence came back to was a silent one.
Given a few hours, Syre was comfortably tucked under a blanket and napping on the couch, and Mikemon himself was in the living room, keeping an eye on both the front door and Syre while flipping through the news on his D-Terminal. Once the Shutmon stepped back inside, the doctor would raise a finger to his lips - nodding towards Syre - and would lead Silence back into the kitchen for her to unpack.
There was a portal device and an Infini-Store for each of the twins, as well as an ice cream cake. The doctor gave a small chuckle at the last bit. "We've ordered from there before, for Syre's birthday, so we're at least a bit familiar. But a portal device is definitely a must for these two." He'd give a smile, and lean up to give a peck on Silence's cheek.
"Sheesh, its been a long day... I don't want to gloss over what happened with the twins, but honestly, hearing what happened to Syre gave me a fright." He gave a 'tsk' through his teeth. "... Never thought I'd have to worry that my genetics would actually harm her."
