Mojyamon simply grunted and nodded in response to Lagi and Omen's assurances. It was perhaps uncouth of her to question them when they were providing them aid, after all. She considered apologizing, but that would require too much effort for the soft-spoken Digimon. Besides, stuff like emotions and whatnot weren't all that important this far north, and it wasn't like anyone here seemed offended by her doubts.
Lagi had asked her why exactly she couldn't go into the tower. "A promise," She simply stated. But chances were, that wouldn't satisfy the outsider. She decided to further elaborate, though she tried to speak softly. A loud conversation wouldn't behoove them when attempting a stealthy approach, after all. "In this place, breaking a promise is a horrid crime. It's too harsh for a single Digimon to survive, so we need to trust one another to survive. But we can't trust those whose words don't reflect their actions.
"Chief Daipenmon made us promise that no one would go in after him. If WinterWitchmon and this Crystal Tyrant are strong enough to subdue Chief Daipenmon, then any further disturbances could endanger our village." She looked pensive for a long minute. She didn't want to think about the Chief's fate. But she couldn't not think about it, either. Which was why she was here today.
"But we never promised to ask for help, because seeking aid from outsiders is, frankly speaking, unheard of, and possibly a crime. I will never break my promise, but I will gladly face the punishment of seeking help from outsiders if I need to." She stroked her beard, and added. "I suppose that I'm just using you, and I am. Forgive me."
Unless Lagi and Omen had something else to say, Mojyamon would travel the rest of the way in silence. The trio would approach the base of the tower. Surprisingly, there were no guards, or gates, or mechanical defenses of any kind. It was just a magnificently sparkling castle of ice with no determinable entrance. Yet, there were balconies placed around its exterior, on almost every level, though no one balcony was parallel with another story. Anyone capable of flying would be able to reach them easily, though they may risk being spotted. In addition, there were a number windows made from pure, clear ice scattered all throughout the tower. With a proper amount of force, getting in would be a breeze, though it wouldn't exactly be the most quiet entrance in the world.
Mojyamon pointed up towards the closest balcony, not more than twenty meters away. A single Icemon was on the lookout, though he seemed distracted by something going on the distance. It wasn't every day that they got visitors, after all!
"There are normally two more of them on lookout as well," Mojyamon quietly commented. "Strange." As for Makoto, Kuro, and Joker's whole posse, it certainly seemed like negotiations were becoming something of an issue. After Joker's pouting fit, the disguised Makoto's questions, and Yuko's suggestion, WinterWitchmon's stolen mouthpiece remained silent for quite some time. And for nearly five minutes of silence, WinterWitchmon's voice spoke out through Jokermon's icy visage.
"You're offering up a lot of questions for situations too far into the future to calculate, I'm afraid. Our power is at its infancy, I'm afraid. I... we wouldn't dare attempt to directly oppose them any time soon! And for those that would oppose our rule... they're certainly free to do so, and even travel elsewhere if they would like! But all we need to do to gain the approval of the commonfolk is to apply enough pressure. There's certainly going to be resistance to be sure, but so long as we remain strong, then those under our rule will eventually get used to that pressure! And after enough time has passed, don't you think that they'll be overjoyed and praise us when we release that pressure upon their lives? It's perhaps not the fastest way to accrue power, I'm sure, but I can assure you that it works if you're patient enough. And I happen to be quite patient." The Jokermon statue made a wide-eyed grin that spread so wide that the ice around it began to crack and chip away.
"As far as how it affects the regions, outside of the north, I must admit that I'm rather unconcerned with those places at the moment. It's not like they have any reason to oppose a consolidation of power up here, and there's little point in focusing on the rest of the world when you've yet to stabilize your own part. What's most important is to either win the hearts of those you seek to rule, or obtain power enough that their opposition isn't an issue. Those in the Shining Sea will certainly present a problem later on, but appeasing them until we ha... what was that?" Suddenly her voice and tone changed, as if she were speaking to someone else. The Jokermon sculpture went still, and a couple of minutes passed. After a little while longer, however, it moved once more, but its face portrayed an unreadable expression.
"Oh my... It seems like we had some rats in our castle, after all!" Rather cryptic, but it was all she offered at first. "But we're certainly getting a lot of visitors today! It seems like quite a coincidence, don't you think?" The sculpture let out a polite chuckle before WinterWitchmon's voice continued.

A quick tilt of the head towards Mojyamon. That's how Omen indicated she was listening. It helped a lot that Lagi had asked a question she herself had wanted to pose, yet...could not really find the means to. The means to vocalize it, as it were.
So, it was a bit shocking to hear that she couldn't accompany Omen and Lagi in there because of a promise to the chief they were looking for. "...It'd only be seen as a crime if we fail, right? We shouldn't, then. Fail, that is." Omen nodnodded. "I forgive you. But you're doing the right thing. The alternative is letting the Crystal Tyrant do what he wants and...we can't have that." Omen concluded, looking to Lagi with a nod.
As they moved up, Omen paid note to Mojyamon's words further. So, there were usually three lookouts? "...They must be either within the tower, or...with Makoto and Joker." Maybe. She couldn't afford to blunder this. "So, should we go on our own from here...?"

A promise to Chief Daipenmon? At first, Lagi tilted her head in confusion, but as the Mojyamon went on about what the aforementioned promise entailed, her face slowly shifted more into concern and worry, twiddling her fingers nervously as she continued. A promise was a promise, right? That she did know of. But seeking the help of outsiders outright being considered 'possibly a crime'?
...hoo boy.
Omen's words to the concerned yeti were short but sweet, and it was only fair that Lagi would add onto it the second the Whispmon nodded towards her, "She's right. I know you're concerned about the consequences, but when we get in there and save the day, I'm sure the rest of the residents will at least turn a blind eye towards your so-called... crime, as you put it." At least, she hoped so.
"And if they don't, we'll make sure we'll be there to at least stick up for you the best we can. It's the least we can do for you, after all." Probably easier said than done, but Lagi was always one to stick up for the little guys, especially considering her unfortunate circumstances of her birth. Her reassuring smile and pat on the Mojyamon's back hid her underlying nerves and her own concerns of the potential consequences.
That was just the least of her worries. As they arrived at the castle itself, Lagi found herself intimidated by the sheer scale alone. It was an elaborate castle bearing down before them, but the lack of security already raised an alarm bell too many in her head. Clearly, WinterWitchmon had a little something up her sleeve, she assumed, and needless to say, she wasn't exactly going to bumrush ahead.
But that observation with the singular Icemon raised a good point. Where were the other two, exactly? Omen had made a good guess, yes, but seemingly neither wanted to find out the hard way. Quickly, Lagi raised a hand, "I think we should discuss quickly on how we can get inside without being detected. Let me show you something quickly."
And quickly she would plunge her other hand into the snow. But had Mojyamon and Omen paid attention, they'd quickly spot that the snow hadn't even budged. Even when she pulled out, the snow still stayed intact from when she touched it. And that would tie well into her little explanation.
"As you can see, I can just will myself to phase through objects, so I think I could get in through the front just fine. But I have a good feeling that sounds a little too good to be true. Maybe we could try and find a possible 'secret' entrance to get through without possibly being spotted too easily?" For all she knew, the WinterWitchmon would practically cover every single base she could to keep potential intruders out. All they had to do here was stay on top of her and play their cards right.
For now, Lagi's eyes scanned every possible bit of the tower right in front of her. There had to be something they could use.

There appeared to be a lot of variables and nitty-gritty factors when it came to assuming complete dominance over a region in a legitimate way, rather than the forceful, super-villain antics that ‘Jokah-sama’ was accustomed to. Yuko wasn’t versed enough in Digital World politics to know whether the other regions’ governments would even care about the situation in the north. Damn it! What was supposed to be a simple search and rescue mission was actually making her think!
The Jokermon statue briefly became immobile again, like a V-Tuber after dropping their controller. When it went back online - so to speak - they mentioned something about rats again. “You keep saying that… Do you mean, like, Digimon based on vermin, or actual real-life rats?” The Japanese delinquent wondered aloud. Did real animals even exist in the Digital World? How could they know what a rat was otherwise?
“Or it could be a metaphorical rat - the worst kind!” The real Jokermon interjected. “IceDevimon… the one without the cowbell… Don’t you think we could help the Crystal Not-Tyrant with his vermin problem as a show of good faith?” The demonic clown suggested, turning to the transformed Makoto.

As WinterWitchmon commented on the number of questions, Makoto couldn't help but chuckle softly - appearing sheepish. "Ah; do pardon me for putting you on the spot like that, darling. I only ask these questions out of good faith, so that we may better understand you and the Crystal Tyrant." They would respond with a respectful bow, continuing "I imagined that the questions were still ones worth asking and considering, even if you do not have all the answers quite yet; to have made an appearance with your beautiful tower such as this, you already have been drawing attention from those beyond, after all."
The approach that WinterWitchmon proposed though - in putting heavy pressure on those under their reign, and then dialing it back to make that pressure not seem so bad anymore... Certainly a manipulative technique; although Makoto would not comment upon it. The idea that there wouldn't be opposition from those of other regions, though, seemed highly unlikely; the fox knew quite well that there were those out in the world, who could likely knock down a castle such as this with a sneeze - and those folks were, more often than not, quite the heroic and altruistic types.
Makoto and their companions simply happened to be the ones to respond, as opposed to those sorts.
And on top of that, there was also the questions as to the relations between the different settlements. Though the Crystalline Ferry might've been small enough to fly under the radar until the cry for help was made, larger settlements, towns, and cities would not be overlooked so easily.
But in any case, Makoto would easily notice that something had WinterWitchmon distracted - 'vermin' that Yuko and Jokermon would both comment on. At Jokermon's suggestion of helping out with this problem though, Makoto would hum; smiling wryly. Though they - deep down - hoped that Lagi and Omen were still safe, Makoto would nonetheless maintain their facade to instead bow in Joker's direction. "If that is what my king desires, then I see no reason to not offer aid," They would respond coolly, directing their wry smile in the direction of the statue and asking WinterWitchmon "Would that be agreeable to you, dear?"
<... Shall I relay a message, to the children?> Kuro's voice would briefly prompt, from the back of Makoto's head - clearly having sensed Makoto's own concern, and sharing in it somewhat.
<It'll be alright, dear.> Makoto would respond soothingly - as though to reassure the both of them - before continuing <WinterWitchmon may notice you, if you leave now; and I trust that the two will know what they're doing.>

Mojyamon looked over to Omen and Lagi. Their words were certainly encouraging, and she was glad to know that there were people that thought her heart was in the right place. But she wasn't overly emotional about it. To a Digimon from anywhere else, they might have shed tears to know they weren't alone. But to a resident of Crystalline Ferry, she simply nodded with a stoic expression. Tears would just freeze up and get in her eyes. She did eventually relent to her emotions... and let out a grunt of acknowledgment. That much expression was difficult, even for Mojyamon.
But that was enough of the mushy stuff. There was a mission to be accomplished. Well, for Mojyamon to idly wait for a group of children to accomplish the mission for her. So... the usual.
As Mojyamon witnessed the Ghostmon's capabilities, she nodded in approval and looked over there. "I don't know if she will have countermeasures for it. The only way of gaining certainty is to try. However, your group has been split up in half already. Unless you are confident in your powers, splitting up once more may prove to be more dangerous than is necessary." She looked over the tower. "And I do not know of any secret entrances. The shape of this castle occasionally changes in appearance. I assume because either The Crystal Tyrant or WinterWitchmon wills it so." Or maybe they just get bored.
Meanwhile, it seemed that negotiations were nearing to a close. Makoto's apology seemed to be sufficient to placate WinterWitchmon. "My plans are both well thought-out and yet highly improvised, servant. But I assure you... no... I am warning you... that I know exactly what I'm doing. Placating the powers that be will do for now. I stated earlier that our power is in our infancy, but if some 'hero of justice' comes seeking to quarrel with m-... with my lord, for some supposed sleight against the commonfolk, they will find our might to be more than sufficient. And that's assuming our powers will need be used in the first place. There's more to overcoming an opponent than just power, after all." The Jokermon statue once again gave an eerily wide grin that caused chunks of ice to fall off from its cheeks.
The icy Jokermon facade looked directly at Yuko for a long while, as if it were debating something. "'Real-life' rats? And what would you suppose this 'real life' is supposed to be, human?" It was possible that the delinquent girl's choice of words might have struck a nerve with the Digimon just now.
But Jokermon's suggestion, and at the IceDevimon facsimile's urging, WinterWitchmon gave a brief pause. "Hmm. Perhaps there is a way you can prove your loyalty to the Crystal Tyrant!" The grin returned. "I must admit something! The fact that we've received so many visitors in one day in such a remote location is admittedly suspicious! But we've recently captured some intruders within our walls! I had originally thought you were distracting me while they performed some kind of mission, so I decided to play along and prevent you all from assisting them until my servants captured could capture them! But I just thought of a wonderful idea!
"I was originally prepared to just execute them and then kill you, and forgive me if this plan is a trite cliche, but would you be willing to execute these prisoners for me?" There was a cold glee that she couldn't contain in her voice as she spoke. "Naturally, I would be a fool to assume that you aren't connected, but I shouldn't rule out coincidence, either! So if you execute them for me, we can begin negotiations proper! And if you are associated, well... The Crystal Tyrant could use some more ruthless members within his ranks!" As she suppressed a wicked cackle, the sound of fingers snapping came from the Jokermon statue's visage. And at that moment, near where Omen and Lagi were, the Crystal Keep began to change. The base, where there was smooth ice and nothing else began to groan and creak. Then an opening appeared twenty feet up, followed by the section below it jutting out and forming a staircase. In front, two more Icemon stood at the newly created entrance, standing guard. Thanks to the cloaks, they didn't seem to notice Mojyamon, Omen, or Lagi, but the longer they waited around, the more likely they were. They have, like, a +2 bonus to their spot checks, so it's a matter of time, really.

Lagi could turn invisible? This would be a good thing to have. Hrm. She herself didn't have much in the way of stealth...That may be an issue. Mojyamon's grunt puzzled Omen for a moment before she realized that was probably her way of acknowledgement. At the same time, though...That show of capabilities was good.
Omen could probably just be a diversion for Lagi to get out if need be. That was fine. "...I don't have anything of the sort like that but I'm aware that my species is...very elusive. I could try using that..."
As she spoke, however, the keep opened, two Icemon coming out to stand watch. To Omen? This was...alarm bells. "We should get in there...Hm." She had an idea of sorts. Omen picked up a rock with her tail and chucked it to the left of the guards. Hopefully that'd be some noise to distract them. If successful? She'd have an opening to get inside with Lagi! Maybe!

Makoto would smile and nod, as WinterWitchmon assured - or perhaps more accurately, warned them. "If you trust in your powers and whatever other tricks and skills you may have up your sleeve, then I see no reason to question you in that regard, darling." They would respond simply; continuing "I can agree very well, the benefits in... Diversifying your approaches, to different problems, to say the least." They would not elaborate further upon that, though - figuring that nothing more needed to be said in this regard. Still, it certainly raised the question, as to what WinterWitchmon and the Crystal Tyrant's other skills and talents pertained to.
They would not linger on that subject for long though, when Yuko instead questioned about 'real life rats' - to which WinterWitchmon didn't seem to appreciate. Glancing in the delinquent's direction. Makoto would simply smile serenely - as if correcting a minor mistake - and respond to Yuko "Though the Analog World is where you were born and grew up, dear, the Digital World is just as much a reality; even if this isn't the world you're used to."
With Makoto and Joker both agreeing to deal with these 'vermin' to make a show of trustworthiness and friendliness to WinterWitchmon, the icy digimon would agree to the situation; the notion that WinterWitchmon had intended to kill them seeming like a bit of a faux pas to admit to, though the disguised digimon would simply continue to maintain their smile. "Simply show us where to go, and we will be more than happy to oblige, dear." Makoto would respond, bowing in the statue's direction.
As they spoke to WinterWitchmon though, they would speak to Kuro as well. <Would you let them know what I can do, for me, darling?> They would question; adding <I would speak to them myself, but I'd rather keep as much under wraps from the witch's ears and eyes as I can, until the time comes.>
For a few long moments, Kuro would be quiet - thoughtful - before its voice would, once more, reach out to Jokah and Yuko. <... Makoto's main line specializes in fire and shadows - they prefer ranged attacks, but have the means to handle close-quarters combat if necessary; while I assist in locking down the enemy, in later stages.> It would explain, the vaguest - faintest - images of what Kuro was talking about perhaps becoming tangible, if either individual grasped at it hard enough.
<This is their armor form, which specializes in mimicry, disguises, and invisibility. Their signature move is to make a pair of portals, which I suspect is going to be their plan for helping free any captives.> Likely, if they were going to be starting a 'prison break' of sorts, this is what Makoto would employ.

That grunt coming from the Mojyamon didn't exactly fly under Lagi's radar undetected so easily; at the very least, she knew about the concerns and worries that the aforementioned mission-giver might still be carrying upon her shoulders. Quietly, the Ghostmon resolved to bring all she could to the table, if only to give the Moyjamon more metaphorical ammo to defend herself when the time came.
For now, they had to focus. She already knew that she had to stick close to Omen as close as possible, but with the possible 'secret entrance' out of the question, this left Lagi scratching her chin. But what did Omen mean by 'very elusive', exactly? Before she could get a chance to ask, however, the sounds of the Crystal Keep's creaking doors brought her attention back to them.
And the other two Icemon guards, to boot.
Before Lagi got a chance to react, Omen had already acted, tossing a rock to the left of the Icemon in a bid to get their attention. A surprisingly unconventional gambit, but already a grin could be seen etched on Lagi's face as she watched. Had this worked, they'd pretty much be in, no questions asked.
But Lagi was not one to take any unwarranted risks; she quickly turned over to Omen as she slowly sunk her whole body into the floor, "Don't worry, I'll follow you from behind." She whispered reassuringly, "I'm just taking precaution, just in case."
True to form, just as she 'stuck' her hand into the snow earlier, she could also stick her whole body in as well, with not even a little bit of it changing shape. The lack of noise her movements made would at least help increase her chances of not being noticed by the Icemon, whenever above or below the ground.
It wouldn't be like her to not take advantage of everything she could.

WinterWitchmon claimed that they didn’t necessarily need their help, since her own power would suffice if any ‘heroes of justice’ tried to harm the Crystal Tyrant. “Ohohohoho! Being a bit overprotective, aren’t we? No doubt your lord is lucky to have you… as a subordinate.” Jokermon remarked with a jovial laugh, perfectly mimicking the statue’s wide smile with one of his own.
Yuko, on the other hand, didn’t feel as cheerful when the ice sculpture glared directly at her and asked her what ‘real-life’ was in her opinion. “Uuuh… Are you setting me up for a philosophical debate? ‘Cause I’m REALLY not qualified for one of those!” The teenage Tamer responded. She was a smart gal, but arguing about politics with a living statue had already done a number on her sanity without adding existential philosophy to the mix.
Unfortunately, that was the least of their worries… While they were busy verbally going back and forth, WinterWitchmon had apparently captured some intruders that she would like Jokah-sama and his crew to execute. Yuko exchanged a very worried look with her partner, who in turn stroked his chin, as if contemplating the offer. “Hmmmmmm… Setting aside the offensive fact that you’d even suspect me of foul play in the first place, I see no problem with nipping a potential rebellion in the bud.”
“But, Jokah…” The delinquent girl opened her mouth to speak, only for the real IceDevimon to press one of his clawed fingers against her lips. “Hold your tongue, little creature. Interrupting others while they speak. It’s rude, is what it is.” The snowy devil said in an uncharacteristically serious tone, his mouth turning into a straight line.
“As I was saying, I have no problem with executing those people that we’re totally not associated with!” The self-proclaimed Demon King continued as nonchalantly as ever, before placing a finger on his chin and puckering his red lips. “You’re not actually thinking of executing them inside your rat-infested dungeon, are you? Oh dear, you totally WERE going to do that! No, no, no, this won’t do at all! See, this is exactly why the Crystal Tyrant needs my help to improve his tyrannical act. If you’re gonna execute someone, you should do it publicly. Homeostasis knows a backwater town like Crystalline Ferry could use some entertainment…” He proposed with a sinister smirk.
Yuko’s eyes widened, as she realized what her partner was trying to do. “That’s right! I mean, it may be barbaric and very old-fashioned, but executing your enemies in public will make people think twice about trying to overthrow you again. You want the world to know of your might, right? Well, this is how you’ll make them know!” The girl added, trying to convincingly play along.

Omen's diversionary tactic sent out a sharp crack as a rock collided with the wall of the icy entrance. Almost immediately the two Icemon turned their heads to their right, then to each other.
"What was that?" The one on the left asked. He seemed rather eager at the moment. But Icemon on the left seemed to have a much more relaxed posture.
"Dunno. Probably just some ice cracking, bro..." He answered, letting out a yawn. "Probably nothing."
"What? How can you say that!? When does the ice that WinterWitchmon shape just crack like that?" He retorted in disbelief.
"Even if it is something, we still only got to guard the entrance, dude..." The lazy Icemon responded with a shrug. "Who cares if there's anyone out there?"
"If we're guards, I think our employers would appreciate the information of anyone still outside their castle!" The eager Icemon practically barked. "Besides, maybe some of us don't want to spend their time guarding a door all day! So if there is something there, we should check it out! WinterWitchmon might praise us and even reward us with another boon!"
"Maybe, but your ambition might be blinding you and setting you up in a state of perpetual cycle of torment and frustrations, dude..." The lazy Icemon stated. "You're too worked up by moving on ahead when you can spend that effort just doing what you're supposed to do. You wanna move up in life, then you just gotta move with the flow that life brings you, bro!"
The more eager Icemon stared blankly at his partner for a long minute before shaking his head and turning around. "I don't think I'm ever gonna understand you, Stanczky," Before going off to explore around where distraction rock landed. He didn't seem to notice anyone, but he was likely to investigate further if he couldn't find anything. Meanwhile, there was a single Icemon standing guard, occasionally looking over towards the other Icemon, while letting out the occasional yawn. And over towards the business meeting of epic evil proportions, things were looking like they might be a standstill. WinterWitchmon didn't seem to acknowledge Makoto's apology, as if it were only natural that they defer to her superior knowledge and wisdom. But the animated Jokermon sculpture looked on curiously as Jokermon and Yuko suggested their alternative method of execution.
"Oh, my dear pair of jesters, you seem to be deeply misunderstanding something!" The statue looked like she was holding back laughter, but nothing came of it. "This whole extermination exercise is to secure my trust in you. If you truly seek an alliance with the Crystal Tyrant, I would have it secured within this fortress, the domain of my power. I would remind you that you are the ones seeking an audience with me. Whether I gain your aid or not makes no difference to me." The faux-Jokermon's visage remained cold and collected while she stated this, but her face brightened up just a bit. "But of course, once you secure my trust, I would be far more open to your suggestions at a later date!"
It seemed that WinterWitchmon was reluctant to relinquish any supposed upper hand in this particular conversation. But what would everyone do? Follow along with WinterWitchmon's plan, gain entrance into her keep, and kill some captured intruders for your new bestest friend? Cut off ties with the paranoid spellcaster and make your own path? Or keep up an otherwise pleasant conversation with her?

...Somehow, the notion of your only partner for the moment being right behind you made Omen feel a little safer. She felt her nerves firing up in those precious few moments before one of the Icemon guards went off to investigate, while the other was busy being...completely absentminded.
Huh.
Wonder who that reminded her of.
Besides, if they wanted boons from WinterWitchmon... "...Are these the mythical simps my mom said to avoid?" Omen wondered, quietly. But, now was the time to move in. She would advance forward slowly and silently, trying her best to not make any noise that would alert the Icemon.
Hopefully the cloaks would help in this endeavor, too. HOPEFULLY Lagi was behind her because she would actually scream if this failed.

Ah; it seemed that WinterWitchmon had no interest in allowing Jokermon to pull a fast one. While it was certainly a clever idea he had, Makoto had a feeling that WinterWitchmon wanted the lot of them to be playing on her terms - not their's - and would not be budging on that any time soon. But, that being said...
... Who's to say that her terms couldn't be made into their terms, under the right circumstances?
Glancing to the others, Makoto would dip their head respectfully to Jokermon and the like. "I suppose putting on a show for the villagefolk will have to wait until next time, then; what a shame." They would make a show of sighing as they spoke; feigning disappointment as they cupped their cheek in one hand. Once that feigned disappointment faded though, Makoto would once more put on a serene smile; questioning Jokermon "Shall we proceed inside then, and dispose of these thorns in WinterWitchmon's side, my king?"
With their respective tricks up their sleeves though, Makoto was confident that they would be able to stage quite the prison break; and speaking of which...
<... Kuro. Could you begin charging my Digiport, just in case, please?>
<Will do.> As Kuro responded, a thin and shadowy tendril would trace up the shaded side of Makoto's leg - reaching into the messenger bag at their side. A brief endeavor, and a discreet one at that - blending in with the rest of the shadows Makoto cast... Once they found the prisoners, or if they otherwise needed a quick escape of their own, their Digiport would likely serve quite well.

Underneath the massive mounds of snow above, Lagi's tail flickered a little as she listened to the two Icemon chatter away from above. While Omen probably wouldn't be able to detect it or notice it so easily, the Ghostmon simply lay right beneath her as close as possible, as much as she could without possibly letting slip an appendage out in the open for all to see.
What were they talking about exactly? Who knew, and honestly, who cared? All she got from them was that WinterWitchmon handed out 'boons'... whatever they were. If they did have any 'boons', they sure weren't exactly willing to use it right now. It took all the energy in her Digicore for her to not chuckle at the sight.
And now she could hear footsteps from close by! Yes!
Resisting the urge to cheer or shout, she simply let out her signature scarecrow smile. And on cue, when she could spot the slight shifts in the snow beneath her and the very quiet footsteps trampling that very thin line of snow 'separating' the two, she hovered slowly along Omen's path, keeping in pace with the Whispmon at all times.
Even with or without the cloak, as she easily phased through the snow, she didn't make a single sound. But as she unconsciously moved along, another big question came up in her head:
"How's Mako holding up?"

Getting another of his clever suggestions politely shot down made Jokermon visibly angry. He was used to Yuko calling his ideas ‘fucking bonkers’ or ‘batshit insane’, but to be outright belittled and treated in such a condescending manner was a different thing entirely…
“I beg your pardon?! Do you really think our partnership is gonna happen on your terms? The Demon King’s aid is graciously offered, and should be graciously accepted, you ungrateful little girl! If you didn’t look like me, I would slap you for your insolence!” The evil clown furiously ranted, all the while the real IceDevimon held him back in order to keep him from lunging at the talking statue.
“What Jokah is TRYING to say is that he respects you putting your safety first and will GLADLY be invited into your castle!” Yuko interjected, finding that once again it was up to her to diffuse the situation.
Seemingly calmer, but still pretty upset, the self-proclaimed Demon King looked at Makoto’s direction, nodding with a slight frown at their proposition to proceed into the Crystal Tyrant’s fortress and carry out the executions there. “We shall do so, IceDevimon #2. But let it be known, for the record, that the Demon King’s disappointment is immeasurable and his day is ruined.” The jester-like Digimon said.
