Breaking the chain. Ozith Village XV. Her arms folded, Virkka closely listened to the Meicoomon at her right. “Subordinates…” She muttered, noticing the contradictory nature of that element in the sentence. The way Mana saw the relation between the dinosaurs being discussed in this exchange was backed up by the second part of her sentence that, although not wrong by any means, didn’t seem to quite grasp what the duo in the factory represented for Isimbi, something the vamp seemed to have understood at this point. Virkka seemed fairly surprised when seeing the cat pull out this cassette recorder off her fur. A sly grin formed on her lips right before she looked at Isimbi again, then back at Mana. The MetalGreymon stared at the Meicoomon with his red, cold eyes, not issuing any word about her proposal. “Just as I’d figured…” Virkka muttered to break the silence this had generated. She changed the way she was crossing her legs again and sighed. “Those two are not his underlings. If someone gave the order for them to go to the factory, they are that someone’s underlings in whatever hierarchy system they have here. But little Isimbi here is not that superior.” She noted, squinting as she stared at the massive Metalgreymon. The Dracomon to his side gasped. “Hehe…” “That is why, besides not even being able to guarantee they’ll follow orders, he knows the message will take a while to get to them, as the order needs to be given by someone else.” She added, looking at the cat and then back at the dino to address him. “If you’re the fifth Unaba higher-up, what are those two? Number two and three? Three and four, perhaps? I feel that’s some piece of info you should have put on the table and not deliberately hide during our negotiation, I~simb~i.”The Dracomon’s eyes widened. Although his superior still looked fairly calm, it was clear the tension had risen dramatically and the situation was making the small dragon nervous. “In other words, that recorder is of no use for Isimbi himself, as those two won’t even listen to him. Our negotiation has reached an impasse, because he cannot immediately guarantee we'll be safe from those two. He has no authority ov-“ “ENOUGH!!!”
The Metalgreymon’s voice echoed throughout the building, a burst of wind blowing aggressively as he stood up. The ancient’s creature voice had, for the first time, shown aggressiveness. The massive monster stood tall at the other side of the room, looking down at the Dusk Pirates and Mana. “I will not allow some foreign to mock my authority.” He declared. “I may not be able to order Ulak and Aleh, but remember at all times we do not care about your ancient manuscripts. I just need to issue the order and the people at the laboratory can try a little harder to destroy them. I’m sure we will quickly find a way to at least lay them useless.” Isimbi’s tone held a gist of mischief. If Mana turned to look at the LadyDevimon at her left, she would see Virkka clenching her teeth, her eyes turning sharp as razors again. Exposing the holes in Unaba’s offer had progressively turned this initially ‘friendly’ negotiation into a two-sided extortion. Each of them seemed to have their own hostages and were willing to use the power they held over those in their favor. What was the key to getting the best out of this exchange, having a privileged spot in it?
As time passed, Ina seemed to be less sure about going forward with this. Facing the dinosaurs from other tribes had triggered something in her, fear had frozen her in place. She stared down at the floor while she listened to Jin’s words. Slowly, she lifted her head to look at the Igamon. “W-Wait… what do you know?” She asked timidly. “N-No…!” The Monodramon shook her head. That confident, pushy attitude she had shown since the moment they had met had completely vanished for the time being. It was almost as if Jin was dealing with a whole different digimon now. “You don’t get it. I… lied to everyone. They worried about me and I was just… selfish.” She muttered, her eyes going down to the murky floor again in a regretful manner. “I cannot let them… see me.”“Huh? Who’s out there?”
The voices from inside the cages, in the darkness, would keep reaching Jin and Ina. “I swear I saw someone.” “It’s probably just one of Unaba’s wardens, right?” “N-No… I’m sure it’s someone else!”
The Igamon was right about something, though. Time was of the essence. What did Jin know about Ina and, most importantly, how had he found out about this? Was there any way to get her out of this crisis? Ultimate Brachimon XV. It was clear the effects of the Venusmon's touch and the fact he had found a creature he had never seen before when waking up had left a very confused Ulak. Although his mind was all over the place at first, he seemed to be well aware of how important it was to get his sister out of the Force Field and escape with the scientist; that was one of the few things he held certainty about. Despite this initial confusion and the unexpected response the cat offered, whatever technique Ulak had exerted on the Meicoomon before had given him some type of understanding of the cat’s movements, as he was able to immediately detect the gross projectile coming his way and move away from the force field to dodge it, his eyes widening at the unorthodox nature of the attack. The lingering question from before still seemed to invade the dinosaurs head: What the hell was he dealing with? He certainly seemed a lot more interested in the context of situations than his sister, that was for sure. That did not mean Ulak could not get tired of dealing with an annoying guest, of course. It was clear that he needed to get rid of this nuisance right away. He was, however, distracted again, when seeing the Force Field he was interacting with just now expanding, this time looking to cover the whole clear where the factory was located. Ultimate Brachimon had expanded the repertoire of things it considered a threat and now both Mana and the Tyrannomon were inside the Force Field too. “Fu--… It definitely changed targets.” Ulak noted while staring above. Unavoidably, his sight would shift towards the sheer disaster that his sister’s escape was causing. “Aleh… what the hell are you doing?” He muttered. It was also clear that, with Aleh being jutted out through the factory roof and the room Hisato, Kenny, Skadi, and Qhawe occupied before collapsing, what were previously two groups had turned into one and they were now occupying the same space. That was, at least, with the exception of Hisato and Kenny. The pair of humans, for the time being, remained inside the crumbling room inside the factory, and it was probably for the best someone got them out of there as soon as possible. Their current situation brings us back to the development of the exchange of techniques that had taken place during the last few seconds. Aleh had shot Ukuqothulwa successfully, getting that immediate dash that was inherent to the technique. Thanks to Kenny’s reflexes and timing, the full technique had been properly absorbed by the Mirror Shield card, giving Caine the change to shoot back whenever he was ready. For this, Skadi’s chains would be essential to keep the DarkTyrannomon in place. They would materialize as she flew out of the factory through the roof. They would appear and bind her down to the closest flat surface they would find, being that the roof of the factory itself, not far from the hole Aleh herself had opened to get in and out respectively. It was then when Caine would show, leaping through that same hole, with the stored up energy in the mirror shield, shooting directly at the chained dinosaur. Of course, just as when going Caine’s way, the sheer amount of energy held in this technique obliterated everything around it, completely destroying the other surface of the roof and causing more damage to the whole structure, which meant more crumbling and danger for Hisato, Kenny, and everyone inside. When the smoke caused by the impact dissipated, the shape of an unscathed Aleh became visible. She had curled her body to protect Nob with her tail. “HAHAHAHAHAHA” The DarkTyrannomon laughed manically again, her eyes widening up as she showed an evil grin. “What in the world are you trying to do!? That whole string of techniques and tricks to almost kill the scientist you’re trying to protect!? You’re really a bunch of idiots! Who would trust you to complete any kind of mission!?”The massive dinosaur got temporarily distracted by the SilverGrademon addressing her from the other side of the roof. “Huh?” She blinked, tilting her head while she grabbed Nob with her claws, still remaining held in place by those chains. “Where do ya’ll keep coming from?” Her eyes would rapidly move towards Caine, who had just shot her way earlier. Suddenly, a bolt of thunder would rapidly fall from the sky, targeting the Belzeebumon to hit him dead-on. The thunder was engulfed by dark green energy and would cause a massive uproar when striking, the thunderous noise echoing through the whole clear. Unless Caine had one more trick under his sleeve, he had just been hit hard. “I just need to start killing you all like flies.” “ALEH. BEHIND YOU!”
The DarkTyrannomon turned to see a barrage of missiles flying her way. They stroke one after the other, generating multiple explosions. It was clear Aleh had tried to dash away from this, but Skadi’s chains had not let her. “She couldn't just… ignore that damage?” Amelie muttered. She and Korka, who, for the time being, kept closely studying the fight unfolding, seemed to be taken by surprise from the desire of the dinosaur to dodge that technique. When the smoke cleared off again, there was a red barrier covering Aleh. This shield seemed to have barely been able to withstand the barrage of missiles Ultimate Brachimon had thrown at the DarkTyrannomon. Down below, in front of Mana, Ulak looked fairly exhausted now. “Thank you, Ulak!” The DarkTyrannomon waved at her brother below from her spot. “Don’t be so careless! Ultimate Brachimon is targeting us now. LET’S GET OUT RIGHT NOW!” He insisted. “I am trying! But these insects keep popping out of nowhere!”
Korka, on his side, would glance at Kenny addressing him. “I tried something similar earlier, but I believe she’s also able to feel the energy of a digimon approaching her. I could make someone invisible for them to get close enough and take the scientist, but it would need to be someone with a power level that is so low she can’t even detect it. Maybe if we try with a human…?”“No! No way, Korka! I told you we are NOT working with these losers. The scientist is ours!” Amelie protested, completely ignoring Hisato’s reproach. The devil let out a sigh. “Then can we go already? That thing is extremely dangerous. If one of those things hit us…”The crumbling room didn’t let them continue with this exchange. Korka would vanish in the darkness and Amelie would turn into the watery, slippery substance from before. In a second, they were both out of there. Qhawe, on his side, kept destroying as much of the debris and falling columns that he could. “You two need to get out of here now!”
As the two brothers kept witnessing Bruga’s sorrow, the environment of this fictional place they occupied turned tenser. The temperature dropped as the monster above the Kotemon kept growing in size and materializing, fueled by these feelings. When the situation was about to get out of control, Scarab’s words stroke the Hlonipha member. As soon as he finished the first sentence, the young Bruga stopped, wiped her tears, and turned for a second towards the Stingmon. “Who are…?” Before she could even finish her question, the insectoid warrior went on with his discourse. What was this stranger saying? The Kotemon seemed to be struggling to process these words, even if she was aware they held something important. Recognition… was not necessary? From what the Kotemon could grasp, the Stingmon was trying to say she would not become a hero when the Idimoni, her friends, or anyone else recognized her as such. She would become a hero when she stood up for the people she loved when she had the chance. “To rise… up…”
Suddenly, the two brothers would feel the same call they had felt earlier today. These items summoning them were now a lot closer, lingering inside the core of that monster materializing on top of Bruga, next to another version of the Kotemon, sleeping. Bruga just stared at the Stingmon, slowly trying to understand each of his words. Then, she looked at Gyo when the Ex-Veemon spoke. Her eyes widened. The truth was, she never had someone tell her all of this when she needed it the most, after Ina and Iqhwa’s death. That was why she closed her core shut and let those feelings of regret and resentment harvest in her heart. Somehow, something had conceded a part of her the chance to go back in time be to be reached by someone at that very moment, at those times of sorrow. Something had put Scarab and Gyo in her way to change her perspective of things. To do better. To break the chain. “You need… me…?”
She muttered timidly. For the first time, the sobbing Bruga noticed the presence of the SkullGreymon materializing above her. The monster looked down at her too. “S-Skull… Greymon.” She managed. The bony creature finally materialized, but this time his frame was not made of dark fog. It looked much clearer. Brighter. It seemed contradictory for a monster so terrifying to look so… pure. The creature looked at the brothers and then back at the Bruga below him. “You… are inside of me?” The Kotemon timidly shifted her eyes from the SkullGreymon to her own chest. It was like the bony dinosaur was speaking a language only she could understand. Then, she turned towards Gyo as he finished his speech. “Together…”
Above her, SkullGreymon nodded. Suddenly, almost everything in front of the two brothers vanished. The dark fog from before was completely gone, just like the young Bruga and SkullGreymon’s frame, leaving only the sleeping Bruga and the two eggs previously floating inside the monster core. These three floated down, to be right at Gyo and Scarab’s reach. They could hear that heartbeat louder than ever. They could feel the call right in front of them. The two items were shining with bright light. As soon as the brothers made contact with them? The chain would be broken. Evolution would happen. After that, light would blind them again and, bestowing new forms, they would find themselves in the insides of the same factory they had disappeared from some minutes ago. This time the whole structure was crumbling. Mysterious Ship XV. And with this vicious exchange from Bee Samurai and Toxic Ogre, the final bout of the Mysterious Ship leg had started. Kenna observed completely amazed as the two creatures clashed in a show of their imposing strength. It was the first time she saw non-dinosaur digimon, and even more, the first time she got to see them fighting. Whether it was because her own life was at stake or not, Sasha was giving absolutely everything she had to come out victorious, and that was something that warmth Kenna’s heart. She had to do something to help too! Kenna tried to stand up, but was knocked down by a new expansive wave of energy issued from Bruyne hitting Sasha’s arm and yanking her against the sand. “Eek!” She squealed when falling again. Luckily, the Musyamon would be able to properly repel the ogre that just struck her, a chain materializing and flying in Bruyne’s direction. The hooks to its sides would fasten to the sand as the chain wrapped around the Fugamon’s legs in less than a second. The Ogre looked at his own legs and started thrashing aggressively, attempting to break free. A new technique cast meant more flickering from Sasha. The Russian could feel half of her data interfering with this new transformation, almost as if the signal that fueled her current form was poor and unstable. She could feel her transformation fading for a second or two only for her to barely regain her form again, constantly. How much time did she have until this form was definitely broken or she managed to finally gain control of it? “We’re done here, Bruyne.” Sasha would hear a faint voice. It wouldn’t take her long to realize it was coming from within herself, just like when that LadyDevimon had spoken to her earlier, but except this time it was not the vamp speaking. Although also feminine, this voice was deeper and her tone was way more serious than the leader of the Dusk Pirates'. Bruyne would suddenly stop trashing. It was clear he was also hearing this voice. “Finally. Opening a gate now.” The Fugamon noted, lifting his left arm and creating a sphere of black energy that immediately grew on size. He threw it above to his left and let it float. The next sentence issued by this mysterious voice would reach Sasha in an odd way. “I’m going to . . ."
The first part of it she would hear it through her head, using this strange method the Dusk Pirates seemed to have to communicate. Then, the second part she would receive it from right in front of her, as a fox-like creature materialized from this ball of dark matter, leaping towards the samurai aggressively. ... kill this fucking human!”
The Reppamon would take a couple of mid-air spins and aim to slice the Musyamon with her blade-tail. After hitting, the sight of this creature right in front of Sasha would change completely. Almost as if someone had clicked on her and manually stretched her size, the Reppamon would quickly grow in size until reaching the dimensions of a two-story house. From the now-massive fox, an army of regular-sized Reppamons would come off, making a circling around Sasha to start attacking the bee samurai with their tail blades one by one, leaping at her aggressively, trying to tackle her while engulfed in blue fire. "Let me show you how you use this!"
Did someone have to tell Sasha that this was Kuda and that she was PISSED OFF? It's 10:34 am. It's drizzling over Idayi Island. The rain is about to intensify.
Caine's Seer gave him some information!
-Caine can still feel a third presence going to the factory. Is it... slowly strolling? The amount of energy it emanates starts becoming terrifying. It's getting closer. The intensity of the combat is making Caine struggle to focus and receive further information.
The inventory has gotten some new information on the fights taking place.
Ultimate Brachimon:
Aleh:
-Aleh reduced the damage from the reflected Ukuqothulwa to zero thanks to There's Strenght in Numbers. -Aleh has been bound for this turn and can't move -Since Aleh can attack, she shoots her Isiphepho towards Caine, boosting it up with the damage of Ukuqothulwa she absorbed. This way, Isiphepho is trying to strike Caine with an extra of a 500% damage Ukuqothulwa.
-Isiphepho: Aleh calls for a powerful thunder to strike her target from the sky. Due to the velocity of the thunder and the source of the technique, the impact is particularly difficult to avoid. If Aleh blocked any damage through There's Strenght in Numbers this turn, she can deliberately choose one of those sources of damages and add up the damage that would have caused to the total damage caused by Isiphepho. If Isiphepho's damage is boosted this way, the damage of this technique cannot be nullified, hindered, ignored, or blocked by any external factor (cards, techniques, active or passive abilities...).
Mysterious Ship
Sasha now finds out that what Bruyne used during last turn was Crushing Rush!
????: One or more members of the Dusk Pirates are executing this passive. The effects of the passive or active abilities all of the Dusk Pirates are using during combat are unknown until one turn after the effect of that ability was triggered. If it's an active ability with a duration of two or more turns, the effect is unknown until one turn after the effect of said ability wears off.
Crushing Rush! [Last turn]: Bruyne jolts through the air to strike his cub against his enemy with mighty force. If the enemy is even partially hit by this technique, their defense and speed are lowered a 60% for two turns. Cooldown: 3 turns.
Since Sasha was hit by Crushing Rush, her defense and speed harshly fell!
???? Is not letting Sasha know what techniques are Bruyne and Kuda using this turn. She'll have to wait at least one turn to find out.
Achievements: -Split and conquer! (You split to take both different approaches in Ozith) -... And in the light will guide them. (You found the Mysterious Medallion in Binagi Shore) -Shattered memories. (You found the graves of Unaba heroes) -Thank you. (Bruga can sleep at nights again) -Mental health is important. (ClearAgumon liked you enough to tell you about his little problem) -Slimy victory. (You solved the puzzle and found the secret entrance to Ozith Village on the first try). -My sister would be proud! (You found one of the strangest guests Idayi has had) -Bee life! (You... turned into a bee. Huh) -I'm going to protect your promise! (You calmed Bon when he needed it, so he came to the rescue) -Infiltration complete! (You got at least 2 members hearing the Ozith meeting at the same time) -I won't let you hurt Professor! (Ina picked a side)
Post order for Ozith Village: -Manami -Daichi Yoshimura
Post order for Ultimate Brachimon: -Manami -Hisato Aizawa -Kenny O'Hara

Just like she had predicted, Nami’s attack had the desired effect. Ulak had opted to avoid her ability, and thus the forcefield was regenerating again. That’s what the Meicoomon called being between a rock and a hard place, especially considering how the Ultimate Brachimon was now turning the tables on the group’s side. Calmly, she leaped towards where the now-abandoned breach of the forcefield stood. Time to turn the tables on these.
Considering the rough outline of the situation, the two digimons were probably now facing each other. “Offer. If you two leave right now, nobody will get harmed.” She stared at the Tyranomon with an unamused expression. They probably saw that failure wasn’t an option, but the statement was something that she could spare in a moment like this one.
Given a negative response, the Meicoomon would call inside a factory. “Beckon. I need some help over here! Four people exactly, if possible!” Despite her usual monotone, the feline’s voice was loud and clear; with some luck, she’d get the necessary aid in order to put a dent in Ulak’s stupidly tough armor.
After the call, the strike wouldn’t wait. From one moment to the next, the cat was pouncing on her scaly opponent, her claws already brandished to deal exactly zero damage and accomplish the first part of this weird puzzle slash rhythm minigame.
Sure, she depended on the group abandoning a crumbling factory, but that was something any digimon worth their weight could do, right? Hopefully that’d be the case this time around. Considering how alien this situation was to Mana, it was no surprise she had been slow on the uptake regarding a couple facts. For example, how Aleh and Ulak weren’t really Isimbi’s underlings, but… the other way around.
That actually made things all the more interesting. Of course, the MetalGreymon didn’t take kindly for his authority to be challenged, but a male’s ego being wounded was akin to cornering a rodent. Virkka should’ve been more than aware of that, considering how much she had enjoyed taunting the cyberdino. In any case, his display was met by a shrug from the feline. “Since everyone’s playing with their hands hidden, should I remind you how bad of an idea that would be? I wouldn’t want to be the one that’s tasked to deal with the fallout of a catastrophic attempt at negotiating.” For the time being, her tone was pretty carefree. This mess was more or less where she wanted the talks to be. “I’m going to be honest here. Just in line with the spirit of what my boss said, the only thing we’ve gotten from this negotiation are promises or threats, with little meat in either of them. When adding the consequences of current events on top, it’s… fairly hard to not be wary of this deal, you know? So…”
The cat’s gaze was affixed on the bigger digimon. “At least some tangible assurances of goodwill would be appreciated, more so considering the unpredictable nature of digimons outside the scope of your authority. Else we might as well be walking into the situation blind at best and into an ambush at worst, you know? Not really a fan. Whether it is you, or a digimon that actually can, I don’t really mind.”
It was at best, a half-hearted attempt at salvaging the situation. It was true that Isimbi was as untrustworthy as they came, but if he was really interested in this deal coming to fruition, he’d better show that he could at least exert some kind of authority. Else, they were either wasting their time with somebody with no real power and very clear intentions to deceive them, considering they weren’t even being covered with the most basic measures. Mana herself had considered calling the possible bluff out, but that was probably too risky to do so; maybe something to have in mind if this moderate attempt failed. —Enfeebling Touch [Passive Ability|RAM Upgrade]: Each time Nami strikes an enemy or an enemy strikes her or one of her defensive abilities, they temporarily become vulnerable and receive 30% increased damage. This effect doesn’t stack; further applications will only renew its duration. This effect can only apply to two targets at most. Duration: One post. Cooldown: None.
—Shut Claw: Amongst the feline digimon, Meicoomons manage to be particularly vicious in nature; you don’t want to find yourself on their claws’ path! This ability manages to be quite damaging, and completely ignores active defenses used against it. Cooldown: Three posts.
Shut Claw's cooldown: 0/3 Trichobezoar's cooldown: 1/3.

Well, Caine -had- always surmised it'd take an act of God, trademark, themselves to take him down, so he wasn't really surprised when he got hit by a bolt of lightning that, for all intents and purposes, had caused a significant amount of damage to the Beelzemon. However, the Beelzemon was still standing, smoky as his frame was. Heavy damage was sustained, yes, but he was still breathing. Smells like cooked demon. Yup. "...If this is your idea of a joke, I must say. It would be a disservice to call you a clown. You are, in fact, the whole circus." Was it a good idea to taunt something that one, prooooobably wasn't even that much of a 'person' and two, had just managed to literally smite you with the weather itself? No. But. It was pretty fucking funny. What wasn't was the reckless endangerment of the humans, though this was pretty much a given when one plays with the amount of power that the Digimon present were playing with. Hisato was already moving, Qwahe did not need to tell him twice to get the hell out of there! However, an idea was had. Hopefully, hopefully...that was not the last they had seen of those two. Caine turned his attention back to the crumbling factory, and made his way in to see a scuffle between a Meicoomon and a scalie. Well, far be it from him to not enable chaos in this form. He simply draw a double barreled shotgun from his belt, cocked the sucker and shot the Berenjena at Ulak. "So, since your sister's kind of a bitch, I'm going to just make this a bit more unfair."
In another place, yet at a similar time... Bruga didn't need to know who they were, truth be told. They already had the same goal in mind--it was through that that the three present just....understood each other. What needed to be done. Gyo's form shimmered as in the place of the ExVeemon was a crimson Veemon. "Yeah. More than ever. Your friends need you, too." As the two Brugas faded away to reveal the real Bruga, as well as two objects of gold, the first instinct Gyo had was to touch his. Scarab followed suit, quickly. The chain binding them here shattered like a brick through glass, a blinding light enveloping the two. The Veemon assumed the form of a knight of azure, while the Stingmon acquired the form of a lumbering, colossal blue bug that really had no other distinguishing features outside of being an ancient recolor. Also, he was blind. And to make matters so much worse... "Such devastation..." The Magnamon began. "We had absolutely nothing to do with this." Uttered Snimon. Seriously, what HAPPENED while they were out? Where even...They had to get moving. Was Bruga with them?
Good grief, this post took a lot out of me. Sorry about that. I'll try to cut the log down as much as I can.
Relevant Passives: Gyo: Overwrite [RAM Upgrade Giga]: A feat only few are said to be capable of. Drawing upon a mode change of UlforceVeedramon's, Gyo is capable of empowering one of his attacks with a program that rewrites the 0s and 1s that make a Digimon's data up. And extending one of their active cooldowns that he KNOWS about by 2. This can only be activated every 3 turns.
Digizoid Armor [Passive]: Being covered head to toe in Blue Digizoid means a 30% damage reduction. Despite this being the fast Digizoid, Gyo does not recieve any bonuses to speed. He's already fast enough. Scarab: Oath of Enma [RAM Upgrade Giga]: Considering himself the proverbial apex predator that he is, Scarab has the ability to act/attack twice on the turn this passive is activated, on account of sheer agility and skill. This is shown as Scarab essentially becoming a blur as he executes the second action, or attack if applicable. This ability has a cooldown period of three posts.
I’m Blind, Not Deaf [Passive?]: Snimon does not possess any eyes, but every other one of its senses is honed to the highest logical extreme thanks to its antennae. Moves that may impede his vision, and visual illusions are completely useless against Snimon, but sound based moves are increased in their effectiveness.
Hunter’s Mark [Passive]: Snimon marks a target for three turns, and so long as Snimon is engaging that target, he enjoys being able to see where that target’s going at all times during these three turns, as well as a 20% increase in the damage Snimon can deal towards the target. He can only change the target of the mark every three turns, though.
Caine: Seer [Passive]: Caine...is a strange one. He's connected to a network of riddles and madness that ultimately give him knowledge he should not know. Think of this passive as a ability-based version of the Arcana Draw card. He's able to tap into this network in order to divine an answer or a hint as to a question within a mission or plot, but it's ultimately up to the DM/runner of the thread as to how clear or unclear this is. Once per thread.
The Emperor [Passive]: Caine's bullets in this form seek out that which he deems wicked, homing in upon them by his will for a 30% increase in overall accuracy.
Gluttony [Passive]: Of course, all of his attacks leech life from their quarry, and heal Caine for 5% of his overall health.
Okay. So. First and foremost, Caine tanks that attack that I am not going to try spelling, because being smited by the sky itself is absolutely rad, even if it involves taking a SHITTON of damage. Still alive tho! Hisato attempts getting out of dodge. Caine returns into the factory to shoot Ulak because quite frankly, being nice to the dinos from Unaba was out of the window. Subdigimon scum. Scum. SCUM. He's shooting his shotguns. Berenjena: A shot from the shotguns. This deals the same damage at whatever range, but works better at close ranges. Shotguns and all. So you could count this as 'melee?' Either way. One post cooldown. Also, Scarab and Gyo are back! What the fuck? Cooldowns (For Caine for now): Primal Orb: 3/3 Heartbreak Shot: 2/3 Berenjena: 0/1

Post by Daichi Yoshimura on Nov 29, 2021 13:25:21 GMT
If there was one way to describe Daichi right now it was tense, he was regretting even accepting the mission right now as it felt he was way out of his league and he was doing nothing but listening and waiting, it was Mana who was doing the heavy lifting on this exchange and all her efforts could be for nothing as the trio already got on the bad side of the Coronamon so any help from the pirates after this was out of the table. But there was a positive to all this, even if they don't have these pirates as allies as long as Unaba doesn't get them either they'll be fine at least for Daichi ti feels better to have multiple factions fighting each other rather than fighting two strong ones and them being alone.
There was one thing on Daichi's mind now aside from the whole exchange below, where are Jin and Ina? Why are they taking so long? Sure, the might be too many prisoners to help and stuff but the more time they waste the worst things could get for them and the teen wanted to run away as fast as possible from here, they got the information they wanted as it seems the meeting has reach a point of none of the sides want to give in, it would be the perfect time to run.
As for Jin he was having his own set of problems as Ina stop cooperating completely, having some kind of panic attack and being honest the ninja is not good with this type of stuff and when he tried to help in the way that his sibling would probably do it failed! It probably didn't felt genuine and that was the reason or maybe Ina was too focus on her problem that didn't really pay attention to him.
Whatever it was there really was no time for all this, the absence of the Coronamon was worrying for the green Igamon and this mission was very important they didn't had the luxury to lose time, yet he couldn't bring himself to leave and rescue the digimon on his own, it felt wrong leaving Ina like this especially after she stood up for them back in the secret path.
"We found the graves of Unaba heroes and Kenna told us the story" The green ninja would take a deep breath and sit next to Ina again "You're right, I don't get it, I lack the context of what happen and I'm not going to claim to know how you feel" He made a small pause thinking how to aboard the topic without creating a storm out of this "But what I do know is that you're holding a weight on your back that is affecting you a lot right now, if you need a shoulder to cry and let everything out, I'm here, I'll do my best to help you lift that weight and if you don't feel ready to let go at least let me help you carry said weight, we're in this together after all"
That is as genuine as it can get for Jin, hopefully Ina would like to share now and the ninja able to help, right now the priority was helping the Monodramon as much as possible because surely thing will improve once they are back with Kenna in the lab and they can talk things out.

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Dec 1, 2021 7:58:32 GMT
Nothing was going right. Aleh had shrugged off the massive blast upon her person like it was nothing, and now mocking them to their face. The entire factory was falling apart. Caine took a massive lightning bolt to the face from the deranged talking dinosaur. And as soon as the chains would fade away, she looked as good as ready to get the hell out of dodge, Nob in tow. They needed a borderline miracle to survive. Yet, Korka's words managed to resonate with him, if for a brief moment even as the room started to crumble. And now an idea started to form in his head, glancing at the tyrannosaurus in chains, and Skadi. Human... invisible... human... invisible... human... Those two words had echoed over and over again in his head. And then something clicked. With Aleh potentially distracted by Caine's sudden sucker punch towards her brother, Skadi would simply glance down towards her tamer below, a keen look in her eyes. For that brief moment in time, she'd merely whisper into the D-Nexus, "You thinking what I'm thinking, pal?"
"Yeah," The tamer smiled as he pulled out another card, "Let's do this. Like a team."
Not a moment too soon, the cloak would proceed to turn the SilverGrademon completely invisible to the naked eye. Kenny would be quick to follow suit, putting the small but powerful Geisterseele around his neck, a simple tap of the gem would also make him vanish from sight. The SilverGrademon would bound her way back to the bottom to grab her tamer once more, wrapping him in her arms as they'd make their way back to the roof, landing on their own two feet. Just as the chains started to fade away. "Go, I'll hold her in place. You get Nob." A simple command uttered by the SilverGrademon as she summoned the orb of light once more, and with another long reaching swing, would extend once more into it's whip-like shape. Regardless of if it hurt or not, she aimed to wrap the stinging whip around Aleh's neck, choking the life out of her in the meantime, as the whip would eat away at her stamina. As this happened, Kenny would make a mad dash towards the dinosaur, aiming to grab onto Nob's claw and pull him away without so much as a warning during the choke out. Had this worked, he'd aim to pull him away out of the line of fire, preferably to safety and where the Hisato and the others stood. So caught up in their little rescue mission he could only briefly spot two strange looking yet weirdly familiar figures statured inside of the factory itself with no warning. Yet, a cursory glance from Skadi as she briefly glazed her eyes down at the hole below made her notice something... new. "Scarab? Gyo?"
In a massively dangerous bid to save Nob from Aleh's grasp, and following on from Korka's suggestion(?), both Kenny and Skadi go for a wild bid to save him by turning completely invisible - Kenny wielding Geisterseele and Skadi hiding herself under the effect of JT-28: Chameleon Cape. Making their way up to the roof, Skadi once again aims to choke out Aleh with a Fouet Brillant around the windpipes, aiming to give her tamer as much time as possible to free Nob from her clutches. JT-28 Card Name: Chameleon Cape Type: Modify Rank: Gold Duration: 3 Posts Effect: The target Digimon gains a cloak that allows them to blend into their surroundings, becoming virtually invisible for three turns. Artefact used (Kenny only):Geisterseele (Weak Artifact):A small gold necklace with a glowing red gem, adorned around a Digimon's neck. It allows the wearer to turn invisible outside of combat, great for hiding or camouflage. It can be used for as long as the user wants, but only outside of combat. It's not strong enough to be used inside of combat. If hit by an attack or if the user uses an attack themselves, the effect automatically wears off. Passives:Buildup (Passive): For every post that Skadi does not directly attack the opponent with an ability, she gains a token. This token increases her attack by 10%, up to a total count of 4 tokens. These tokens cannot be taken off by the opponent, nor can these boosts be reduced by any attacks or passives from any opponent. (For example, simply using her swords to parry the opponent or merely swinging her sword to attack will not affect Buildup. Using Dual Striker or Sliver Breaker does)
Keen Eye (Passive): Being a skilled swordswoman has it’s benefits. So that means that she gets a 1.3x boost to accuracy. This also allows her to see perfectly fine where she otherwise wouldn’t, including fog, smoke, and other weather conditions. Active Buffs/Debuffs: Skadi:Buildup (+10% ATK): 3/4 active tokens Frostcloak (+30% defence, immune to all debuffs): 2/3 Cooldowns:Frostcloak: Active Ethereal Chains: 0/2 Fouet Brillant: 0/3 Cards Used (3/7):DR-28: Wings of the Wyvern (1/2) VB-28: Mirror Shield (1/1) JT-28: Chameleon Cape

There was always something else, wasn't there?
Despite the weird glitching going on with her form, dragging her body and soul down, Sasha still felt somewhat confident in being able to beat Bruyne. She just had to push through and finish this as fast as she could. But before she could even attempt to go for another, decisive blow well, she heard a new voice. Not one belonging to that sultry demoness from earlier, but rather a completely different one.
And with it came Bruyne's backup, a positively enraged looking reppamon leaping out of a sphere of darkness conjured up by the chained ogre. Sasha barely had enough time to raise her blade in an attempt to deflect the fox's own sickle like tail away, the clashing of metal reverberating along her arm almost as strongly as the glitching from earlier.
It didn't take a rocket surgeon to understand who she was fighting, even before the digimon grew incredibly large in size and began sending small clones of herself at Sasha. Truth be told, she wasn't too sure why Kuda was this angry: she clearly could still size shift at will, so it's not like Sasha had completely stolen her power. At any rate this wasn't the time to ask questions.
There wasn't much she could do about the circling swarm other than stand her ground and try to dodge as many as she could, though it quickly became obvious she couldn't dodge all. Sasha grit her teeth as one after the other the mini foxes slashed and lunged at her, the cuts and burns not being too bad on their own, but they slowly began to build up.
"Two can play at this game!" She spat, plunging her sword into the ground, a burst of energy erupting to her sides as she summoned two translucent Reppamons of her own, these only marginally bigger than the ones she was being surrounded by. As these copies lunged at the larger Kuda with the intention of self immolating, Sasha would look back and yell at the scientist.
"Kenna, get Bon and run! It's too dangerous!" She didn't really have a plan, but a good start would be keeping their employer from getting caught on the crossfire. It was Sasha's fault she was out in the open like this, so the least she could do was cover her escape.
Passive: I BRING WAR: Conflict fuels this spirit, and as the fight rages on so does the escalation of his tactics. For every turn that he spends fighting he increases his strenght by 10%. This can stack up to four times, though if he is unable to deal damage for two posts in a row all the stacks will be lost. At any time during the fight they can focus all the accumulated stacks into one of their other offensive abilities, increasing the ability's damage by twice the amount of stacked power (I.E. making the attack be 80% stronger with four stacks). After doing this however they can't accumulate more stacks for the next 3 turns.
Hell's Army: Plants his sword in the ground, summoning behind him two spectral reflections of whatever he's fighting, which will then charge towards the original source of the "reflection", exploding into a fiery burst once they are in range of their target or if they are hit by an attack. Three posts cooldown, can only be done twice per opponent in the same thread.
Passives: I BRING WAR (1/4)
Cooldowns:
Hell's Army: (0/3) Hook: (1/2) Blades of Conquest: (2/2)

Ambitions. Ozith Village XVI. Slowly but confidently, Mana had started having a bigger impact on the negotiation taking place at Ozith. Far from stopping her from talking, curious and confident on her skills to powerfully affect the outcome of the negotiation, Virkka just folded her arms and listened to her ‘crewmate’, taking her time to glance at Isimbi now and then. It looked like, slowly, she was processing what Mana’s role was in all of this. Isimbi was no different. His eyes were affixed on the Meicoomon as she spoke, breathing slowly as he listened to her speak. Seeing the time was right, Virkka followed Mana’s statements to contribute herself. “After all, you wouldn’t be negotiating with us right here if you were completely sure those two are going to get the scientist. I guess the fact all of you have failed against the Ultimate Brachimon before doesn’t help you believe the outcome will be positive.” She noted while examining her own red claws leisurely. After another pause, the MetalGreymon broke the silence. “Then let us leave promises and treats behind.” He noted, right before glancing at the Dracomon to his left with his narrow eyes. “Goro, go explain the situation to Superior Yama. Tell him the pirates ask us to send the retreat order to Ulak and Aleh and that they will provide us with both Nob and a scientist for the calibration in exchange, besides the manuscripts we found. Tell him the decision must be taken as soon as possible to secure the alliance.”The Dracomon’s eyes widened as he nodded nervously. Immediately, he ran again to the back of the room going through the same door he had gone through earlier. “That is everything I can do for the time being. It will be in hands of our master to give the final order.” For a minute, the MetalGreymon’s voice sounded slightly more conciliatory. “I am aware that if you want the manuscripts, you will take Nob and your scientist to the laboratory regardless of what happens. As I said, the rest of our warriors will cease fire immediately towards the Dusk Pirates and will have orders to allow you all to get to the laboratory. I should be able to make it there for the exchange.” After a short pause, the dinosaur spoke again. “And... in order to seal this deal and enhance our trust in this alliance… I will allow you to ask me one question.”Virkka’s eyes widened. It seemed that, at some level, her words and Mana’s had had some effect on the negotiation, since Isimbi had understood he couldn’t hope to seal a deal full of future promises without putting something on the table right now, especially when the other side had proved to have a strong bond with their target. The Ladydevimon softly floated on air while she turned towards Mana. “It’s clearly far from what I expected from Unaba.” She shrugged. “But I guess there’s not a lot to do since you clearly cannot take any further action right now. Since you monsters clearly don’t understand anything about the manuscripts, I don’t think there’s anything I can be interested in asking you.” She noted. “Instead, as a reward for her contributions to this negotiation, I will leave my crewmate here to ask whatever she wants. Once you had satisfied her curiosity, we’d have sealed our very feeble deal.” The vamp showed Mana a smug grin, right before giggling. “I feel I’ll find what she’s going to ask very… interesting.”
In the murky loneliness this dungeon offered, Ina remained sitting with her eyes trailing nervously and breathing heavily. Despite not having a direct confirmation the Monodramon was even listening to him, Jin kept talking. It was when the Igamon reached the end of his short speech that Ina’s eyes started to widen and she slowly moved her head to look at him again. Something among everything he had said had penetrated in the dragon’s cognition somehow. “Help me… carry… that weight?” She muttered timidly, as her breaths started finally calming down. Her eyes still wide open, she rummaged inside that brown back she had been carrying across her back all along, taking out a very small, spherical item. This one was shinning, and its glowing nature even illuminated the small fragment they were occupying for a minute. It issued an indigo-colored light and, despite Jin didn’t have one, it wouldn’t take him long to realize it was the type of item Daichi had, and that Kenna had given to some of them at the start of the mission. The sphere slowly floated in front of Ina, illuminating her face. It would go slightly brighter as two voices started coming from it, the quality of the audio showed it was some past recording. “-ink. I don’t think you’re making the right call. ”
“I’m not sure I am either.”
“…”
“You… hate me?”
Ina let out an ‘eek’ as the sound of her being held in one's arms was audible.
“I love you and everyone in Idayi more than anything.”
“But you said…”
“I don’t agree with the path you've decided to take. I think you need to trust those around you more and tell them the truth. But, if you have chosen to go with a lie, it’s not a weight I'm going to let you carry alone.”
“B-But...”
“I believe in your ambitions, so you better do the same. Become the best scientist this island has ever bred. Surpass Bon and me. Show them all where you stand. And do it with pride, Ina!”
Sobbing could be heard again. This time it was the Ina in the recording, though. The real Ina was now standing up firmly, she grabbed her inventory stopping the recording in the process, and walked forward. Slowly, some new samples of that mushy substance started forming on the floor, moving and spreading around, crawling over the cages. “W-What is this thing?” “Huh? Look! Over there!” “Is that… N-No. It can’t be.” “INA?” “Ina is dead you dumbass!” “No! It’s definitely her!”
Chaos started reigning in the cells at the dungeon, as the Monodramon came out to the light. Without issuing any word, Ina let her inventory float in front of her again, much closer to the cages. A holographic keyboard materialized in front of the sphere as she started typing on it. Her strange substance kept spreading and crawling everywhere across the room. “See? That’s Ina’s technique!” “It has to be her!” “Hey! Ina! Answer! What are you doing here? Are you with these Unaba freaks?” “What if it’s a trap?” “She belonged to Unaba, didn't she? Is she the one behind all of this?”
Ina was back to being that confident Monodramon. She was fully focused on her work on the inventory, but this was probably the right time to ask questions, before she would execute whatever she was planning. The indigo spherical item seemed to be storing energy. Ultimate Brachimon XVI. Although always chaotic, the Ultimate Brachimon’s group was experiencing its peak in action during the last few minutes. And things were about to get progressively even wilder. Nami vs Ulak. If it came to shock value, one could say the Meicoomon had the upper hand when asking for exactly four more people in terms of reinforcements to fight the dinosaur. “How did you…?” Ulak knew it couldn’t be a coincidence, so there was something about her request that took him by surprise. This cat had too much information and, although extremely curious about her origins, her attempt had helped the Dark Tyrannomon understand he should not underestimate her. Although Nami’s claws were barely able to scrap him due to his massive nature, the attack had ticked off one of his passive slots, so he came out perfectly unscathed from that. A second technique literally blasted down against Ulak, raising a smoke cloud but causing no harm whatsoever to the black dinosaur. That being said, he didn’t receive any other attack so… he was still the same indestructible wall that he represented when this round started. And he was now ready for a counterattack. Taking advantage of the short-ranged technique the Meicoomon had to executed, Ulak saw the perfect chance to get rid of a nuisance. Mana would feel that same strange pressure she had felt earlier around her body, significantly hindering her movements and stopping her from moving freely. The Dark Tyrannomon’s red eyes glowed and his right arm started issuing dark, blue energy. In a swift movement that bestowed way more velocity than Ulak had ever shown, he released this mighty, gigantic claw against Nami at point-blank range, looking to impale her. Aleh vs… the world. Despite her shock at the fact the Belzeebumon had been able to survive her Isiphepho, Aleh remained absolutely delighted at the savage harm her technique had caused on Caine. She debated on whether to make a run for it right now or take the chance to finish the job, seeing him wide open after changing targets. She glanced at the Ultimate Brachimon above and at Caine, carefully studying the scene. Below, Ulak stared, waiting for his sister to just dash away with the scientist. Aleh took a step back, ready to escape… Then, some words resonated in her head. “I am Caine, Son of Malkav. You face not a Lord of Gluttony, but a spawn of dementia and madness.” “… Dementia spawned to live together.” She muttered, tigtening her hold on Nob. “So I need to eat you. You are destined to live within me!”The Tyrannomon spun and dashed towards Caine at great speed. “DAMN IT, ALEH! I SAID STOP!” Ulak shouted in frustration. “DIE!” Aleh yelled, intoxicated by the sole desire to absorb Caine. Her maws glowing with dark green energy as she moved like a bullet towards the demon, whose attention had shifted to her brother. Aleh crashed against something different than her target. The energy stored in her technique was so enormous that, when released, created an expansive wave that made the whole clear tremble, causing more chunks of the crumbling roof to fall. Between Aleh and Caine, a new creature stood, holding a silver spear that separated the dinosaur from the Belzeebumon, fitting into the dinosaur’s gigantic fangs. The spear seemed to be storing a great amount of power in order to stop such a technique. “W-Who are…?” Aleh’s eyes widened as she detected the presence of this creature, finding the answer to her own question. “BRUGA?”“Such speed… I still don't have full control of this form.” The Cyberdramon muttered. Bruga’s voice sounded metallic, but still had the same young innocent ring to it. “Are you okay, Caine?” She asked looking back for a second. “What the... fuck did you turn into?” Aleh asked in shock. “A heroine.” “That form…” Aleh muttered as she glanced at a Snimon and a Magnamon emerge from the factory (hopefully putting Hisato to safety) with the corner of her eye. “You mutated. You’re not a full dinosaur anymore! Can you see what you’ve done!?”“I think… reaching evolution within that core made me acquire both insect, mutant, and dinosaur data. I’m certainly not a full dinosaur anymore. But I’m still going to become the heroine Kenna needs to save this island from you all!” “So… it definitely was Mother the one behind all of this.” Aleh noted with an amused tone. “You have changed your data; you have created a mutation and all to meddle in Unaba’s plans. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA” The dinosaur’s kooky laugh echoed across the clear again. “I couldn’t expect less from Mother to make digimon go this far for her. If only you knew the truth, Bruga!”“The truth?”
Suddenly, a red whip wrapped around Aleh’s neck. She leaned backward as a force was exerted by an invisible Skadi through her weapon, while she faintly held Nob to her bodyframe with her left claw. “Eh!?” As confusion increased another voice echoed near them and throughout the clear. “IT’S TIME FOR THE NUMBER 1 TREASURE HUNTER TO MAKE HER ENTRANCE!!” “Huh!?” “What the…?” "Ugh..."
From the sky, Amelie fell at full throttle, a stream of water surrounding her body as she pointed her spear down towards Aleh, not actually hitting her but yanking it to the roof’s surface below her and landing in the middle of this already convoluted area. With how chaotic everything was, further description of the scene was probably necessary. Aleh remained locked through her fangs to Bruga’s spear. Right behind the Cyberdramon was Caine. The DarkTyrannomon was being held by her neck by (an invisible) Skadi’s red whip, while Amelie was now right next to that lock between Aleh’s fangs and Bruga’s spear. New runes started materializing on the floor, around Amelie’s yanked weapon. These started to be drawn around Aleh’s feet too, light blue energy coming out of the seals. “What is…?” A gist of panic could, for the very first time, be heard in Aleh’s voice. “Hehe…! Now you’re locked in place!” Amelie chimed playfully. “What are they doing…?” “… She doesn't know when to quit.” Korka observed from afar, next to the now-put-to-safety Hisato. “Huh?” Amelie’s eyes narrowed as she saw Nob slowly being freed from Aleh’s grasp and… floating away from the mess this very tight reunion had become. She giggled playfully, not particularly concerned by this. Kenny, on the other side of the escape, would feel a great amount of energy coexisting within that small area where the four digimon conglomerated. Between Bruga stopping Aleh’s mighty technique and Amelie’s runes, it would even be hard for a human like him to remain standing due to the immense pressure being exerted on his body, even bringing him trouble breathing. Luckily, Aleh didn’t seem to have noticed him at all. As he strolled away from this group with the Agumon in his hands, he would feel his body relieving from this sensation. Spending too much time in there with so much energy being stored could certainly bring great damage to a human eventually, after all. That being said, once Kenny got some distance from the group, he would notice something felt strange about Nob. His body was cold and he had not issued a single sound since being grabbed, he remained completely still. Was it that he was just terrified or… maybe something else? Kenny would need to decide whether he wanted to check on him right there, still being fairly close to the group, or if he had any plan to get away from Aleh’s sight, considering he was currently stranded in a roof with several zones that had crumbled down into a falling-apart factory. Being that close to an impact from any of Ultimate Brachimon's techniques could hurt him badly, so that was probably not an option. Meanwhile, Aleh kept nervously trying to move. It was no use, though, she was locked in place. “What the hell are you trying to pull, you idiot!?” “She trapped her.” Bruga whispered, glancing at Amelie and then at the runes around Aleh’s body. “ALEH! YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THERE NOW!” Ulak shouted from below. “I am TRYING!” “I still don’t understand how to hurt you…” Amelie muttered holding a smug grin, her eyes moving up to a new barrage of missiles coming from the sky. “But you were trying to escape from those missiles earlier, weren’t you? Which means those can. I just need to keep you in place and Big Dino will take care of the rest. Hehe!” The Mermaimon winked playfully. “You… stupid clam! LET ME GO!!” What previously was annoyance had turned into desperation. Aleh flailed dramatically, trying to move out of the way of the missiles coming her way. They were about to impact. Bruga glanced at Caine, what should they do now? Meanwhile, Gyo and Scarab could feel something strange about this new form. There was a new power within them. Something that they could not relate to anything previously found on their data. Something that felt exclusive to this place. Mysterious Ship XVI. Although clearly not hitting as hard as a regular Reppamon (and much less as a gigantic one could hit), Kuda’s replicas would feel significantly solid when impacting Sasha. Some of their attacks could be successfully dodged by the bee samurai, but those that managed to hit, would at no point feel like a product of an illusion, but the actual data of the Kudamon being correctly split into smaller beings to cause harm. When Sasha got ready for the counterattack, she would notice there was something… unexpected about the technique she had just used. The translucent copies she had summoned did not look like Reppamons at all! Instead, they looked like semi-illusory copies of the Musyamon herself, ready to charge at their rival just as she had conceived the technique to do. The two Musyamon moved at great speed and imploded against the giant Reppamon, making the enormous monster growl. For a second, the Reppamon copies took a step back, looking fairly shocked. “W-Was that…?” Bruyne started muttering a question as the shadow sphere that had worked as a warp gate closed. “You… bastard.” The giant Reppamon managed, gritting her teeth. Just as Sasha had requested, Kenna had ran. With the combat giving her some time to stand properly, she hastily made a run towards the opposite side of the shore. Not long after, Sasha would hear an engine and wind coming from behind. “Can’t do, teammate!” The Rusian would listen to Kenna’s voice through her inventory as she saw the faint shadow of a giant object on the sand, only to find the giant ship she and Bon had used to get here lingering over the battlefield. “I’m not to support quarreling resolutions.” Suddenly a blue aura expanded from the center and through the beach surface like a drop hitting a lake, only to disappear shortly after. Sasha would feel a short sensation of relief. “But I'm less keen to leave my friend alone!”
With that, another being propelled itself out of the water at great speed, although this one was significantly smaller than a Fugamon. Bon flew above the giant Reppamon and Bruyne standing next to her and fell face-first on the sand next to Sasha. “I still need to practice my landing.” He giggled apologetically as he tried to brush the sand off his soaked robe while their enemies stared a bit confused. He then turned to look at the Musyamon at his right. “W-Who are you?”“Bon!” Kenna’s squeal of happiness came from both Sasha’s and the dinosaur’s inventory. “Kenna!” He replied happily. “I hope you remember your training in combat better than how you remember your training in landing!” “Huh?” The dinosaur blinked. “How do you…?”“Up above!”
The dinosaur looked at the giant ship above them, only to see his human partner show a thumbs up from the window. “W-W-Wh--- How did you get here!?” “I’m not too sure either. But we need to fight.”
Bon’s countenance changed completely, as he turned to face Bruyne and the giant Reppamon. He glanced at the Musyamon for a moment. “I await orders.”Sasha’s inventory would float to her right, deploying a screen with a wide selection of techniques and info. This was about to get interesting. It's 10:45 am. It's raining over Idayi Island.
Caine's Seer gave him some information!
-Caine can still feel a third presence going to the factory. Is it... slowly strolling? The amount of energy it emanates starts becoming terrifying. IT WILL ARRIVE NEXT TURN.
The inventory has gotten some new information on the fights taking place.
Ultimate Brachimon:
Aleh:
-Aleh used Kuyabulala on Caine! -Aleh's Kuyabulala was stopped by Bruga's Last Wish. -Aleh is being held by Skadi's Fouet Brillant -Aleh is being held by Amelie's Cobalt Trap and can't move!
Some moves!
Aleh:
-Kuyabulala: Aleh can only use Kuyabulala if one of her offensive techniques managed to hit the past turn. Aleh jolts towards her target channeling all of the speed she can gather from Unaba's Bullet and storing a massive amount of energy in her maws. Aleh attempts to crunch the opponent with her fangs to eliminate them and absorb their energy.
Bruga:
-Last Wish: If one of Bruga's allies is being targeted by a technique that will potentially lay them unable to keep fighting, Bruga can travel at great speed to stop the technique from causing any damage. She can only do this once per fight.
Gyo:
Gyo can feel new power growing from within! He can now use Hlonipha Double Step and Amazombe
Scarab:
Scarab can feel new power growing from within! He can now use Hlonipha Double Step and Ukuzithiba
- Hlonipha Double Step: Gyo/Scarab can move almost quicker than the eye can spot from one position to another close position on the battlefield, getting themselves away from any incoming attack or repositioning to strike from the right spot. They can only use this once per fight.
-Amazombe: In order to use Amazombe, Gyo must gather the energy of two allies. These allies cannot use any technique during that turn and must solely focus on lending their power to Gyo. Gyo flies rapidly towards the enemy in order to, one after another, strike a succession of five powerful martial arts moves, combining kicks and punches, his limbs surrounded by mystical blue energy. Each of these hits count as an individual, named technique, and cannot be avoided or dodged in any way by the enemy. The fifth one is particularly powerful and aims to go through the opponent with a fierce, mighty punch. Once per fight.
-Ukuzithiba: If Scarab can hear his enemy, he can use Uzukithiba to lock them and go after them. Once Scarab reaches its target, a stream of blue energy creates a ring to enclose only Scarab and his target. From that moment and for the rest of the turn, the effect of any other active or passive technique being used over the target is nullified (Except for Scarab's techniques) and the target does not count as 'being targeted' by any of the users of these techniques, regardless of if they keep attacking them or not. Now, Scarab can use another active technique this turn. Once per fight.
Mysterious Ship
Sasha now finds out that what Kuda used last turn was King of the Swarm and Astrivian Energy passive! Kenna used Relief Droplet on the battlefield! Sasha was healed by Relief Droplet! Bon joins the fight! Sasha now has information on buffs and debuffs thanks to "Hero's Sapience!" Kuda's attack was doubled! Bruyne's attack was doubled! Bon is awaiting for orders!
-?: One or more members of the Dusk Pirates are executing this passive. The effects of the passive or active abilities all of the Dusk Pirates are using during combat are unknown until one turn after the effect of that ability was triggered. If it's an active ability with a duration of two or more turns, the effect is unknown until one turn after the effect of said ability wears off.
Kuda.
King of the Swarm![Last turn]: This is an Astrivia Form technique and can only be used if Astrivian Energy is active. Kuda creates many duplicates of herself and orders them to attack her target at great speed. These duplicates may keep attacking for the next three turns or Kuda can deliberately re-absorb them to get a 5% attack boost for every copy she absorbs.
Astrivian Energy [Passive]: Kuda can use the techniques of her Astrivia Form, regardless of the stage she's in. Astrivian Energy is always active and cannot be ignored, hindered or nullified by any other active or passive technique.
Kenna.
Relief Droplet [Passive]: At the start of each turn, using her ship, Kenna releases a healing program over the battlefield. This heals all of her allies in 10% of their total HP and gives them a boost of Stamina and Resistance for the upcoming turn.
Bon.
-Hero's Sapience [Passive]: Bon is constantly studying the fighting taking place and the environment. During a fight, all of Bon's allies receive immediate information when their opponent's stats change, whether buffed or debuffed. This includes healing or storing energy for an upcoming attack. Bon can also sometimes give warnings or relevant information about the opponents
-Hlonipha Doule Step: Bon can move almost quicker than the eye can spot from one position to another close position on the battlefield, getting herself away from any incoming attack or repositioning to strike from the right spot. He can only use this twice per fight.
-Umililo: Bon jumps high above and shoots a barrage of fireballs at his target. This attack goes first in every turn and, in case the opponent is using a technique that lasts multiple turns or is storing energy to unleash a future attack, the technique or upcoming technique is severely interrupted and will not be executed. Cooldown: Two turns.
-You're going to be okay!: Bon focuses his fire energy to surround an ally and heal them 50% of their total HP. Once per fight.
? Is not letting Sasha know what techniques are Bruyne and Kuda using this turn. She'll have to wait for at least one turn to find out.

Daichi clenched his fist as it seemed that the meeting has finally reach a point of agreement and all he could do was watch, it was frustrating but at the same time there wasn't much he could do to help at the end of the day, his mission was to save the kidnapped digimons and hopefully Jin and Ina are doing that exactly, it was on Mana's paws to save this situation with her question, if the meeting was over after that he and Han would go and help the other two with the rescue as the last thing he wants now is being caught for staying stationary for too long.
As for Jin it was really hard for him to be emphatic and understand others but he was doing his best here, even if he didn't fully understand what he was saying he say it from the bottom of his digicore and mean it, sometimes is better to share weights than letting crush you and said words seem to resonate within Ina who share a recording from an inventory she owned.
It was hard to understand the context of the recording but there was one thing clear, the person in said recording was Kenna and was encouraging Ina to walk her own path as a scientist, Jin couldn't help but smile as the look of confidence return to the Monodramon and quickly started working using that mushy substance to hopefully help the others out of their cell, it didn't take long for the captured mons to start making noise and talk a lot and while it seemed that they were the only ones here the absence of Lire was definitely lingering on the ninja's mind and would be better to not make more noise than necesary.
"Please remain calm, we are here to rescue you, we are not with Unaba" The Igamon claimed before looking at Ina "How can I help you?" He asked as he was not entirely sure what the Monodramon was doing but if there was someway he could add to the rescue effort he would do it "My blade is at your disposal Lady Ina"

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Dec 18, 2021 0:05:29 GMT
Was this... real? Were the tables actually turning in their favour for once? While Kenny barely had any time to notice from the immense amount of chaos from his side of his crazy gamble to save Nob from Aleh's grubby claws coming from the clash, Skadi's eyes would widen once more as she too would end up noticing the Cyberdramon's sudden intervention halting what would've been Caine's imminent demise like it was nothing. "...Bruga?" She could only whisper in hushed tones herself. What happened to her? What happened to Scarab? Gyo? Was this the 'thing' that the former mentioned earlier that was calling him, as he said? Did it 'call' Bruga too? Did it 'mutate' them all, as both Aleh and Bruga herself seemed to claim? What the fuck did Aleh mean by 'the truth'? What in the everloving Hell was even happening right now?Yet her- no, their gamble worked. Skadi's whip had now tightened around Aleh's fat neck, allowing Amelie to, indeed, lock her in place with her own attack. And Kenny, already heavily gasping and painting as his legs turned to jelly, struggling to stand up even in the massive outpouring of energy within, would somehow, by some sort of miracle, pull Nob out otherwise unscathed, still invisible to the rest of the participants within the scuffle. And yet, as he glanced back at Nob himself... that look on his face. Oh God, that look on his face. Oh, how did Kenny want to reassure him right then and there that he'd be alright. That he was safe now. Yet the glance towards the roof ahead told them otherwise. He didn't have to wait long, though. Skadi's whip could only hold for so long, and yet, as the light started to fade from view, a quick glance at her inventory told her one thing; help. As the light fizzled away at last, as soon as the final spark disappeared, Skadi would leap into action once more, leaping in to grab both Nob and Kenny with one clean move, before bounding once more, back to where Hisato and Korka stood. By now, Kenny was certainly shaking from everything that just happened. Yet his immense trust in his partner had helped to ease his fears. Glancing over to Gyo's new form, she merely told her tamer, "Take care of Nob for me; Scarab and Gyo need my help." As she turned over to his general direction, she'd lift up her hand, willing Gyo to take her energy... With a simple nod, Kenny would comply, tapping on the gem once more back to visibility. He'd lay a gentle hand onto the Nise Agumon Hakase's shoulder. "Hey, you alright, pal?"
Skadi opts to completely forfeit her turn to attack to help power Gyo's Amazombe instead, instead taking the time to save both Kenny and Nob from the collapsing roof. Otherwise, she keeps one eye on the battle... On the upside, Buildup gains it's final token, adding +40% to Skadi's attack Passives:Buildup (Passive): For every post that Skadi does not directly attack the opponent with an ability, she gains a token.
Active Buffs/Debuffs: Skadi:Buildup (+10% ATK): 4/4 active tokens Frostcloak (+30% defence, immune to all debuffs): 3/3 JT-28: Chameleon Cape (Invisibility): 2/3 Cooldowns:Frostcloak: 0/3 Ethereal Chains: 1/2 Fouet Brillant: 1/3 Cards Used (3/7):DR-28: Wings of the Wyvern (1/2) VB-28: Mirror Shield (1/1) JT-28: Chameleon Cape (1/1)

Post by Sasha on Dec 18, 2021 14:40:02 GMT
For a second Sasha mistook the shock and surprise on Kuda's and Bruyne's expression being directed at herself, which was odd but felt nonetheless pretty nice. It wasn't until she heard Kenna's voice again and noticed that weird shadow on the battlefield that she figured something was off. She glanced up and behind her, only to be met by the sight of Kenna's ship from before, flying above the beach like a mighty blimp. The relief she felt was only matched by the actual physical relief that came soon after, whatever energy had been sent from the ship helping the russian feel reinvigorated once more. Before she could even voice her surprise or even gratitude, yet another familiar figure jumped from seemingly out of nowhere and landed next to her in an unnimpressive but still welcome fashion. She could barely contain the emotion and happiness in her tone as she chuckled at the sight of Bon lifting himself from the sand. How the tables had turned in such a quick moment. "That's it, I'm getting drinks for all of us after this is done." She declared with a nod, turning back to face the two pirates on the opposite end of the beach, though before she could get back into fighting Bon's words gave her pause. Orders? Just before she was about to tell him something to the effect of "do whatever", her eyes would glance at the inventory floating by her side, a detailed list of information, stats and techniques could be read on it. If she didn't know better, she would have thought she was staring at a command menu out of one of those old turn based videogames like Final Fantasy, just considerably more indepth. Guess character limit was not an issue for Kenna's inventions. At any rate, after a quick read through everything that she could see on the screen, she gave a quick nod and lightly pressed a digit on the screen, right on the option named Umililo. "Take the big ugly, I'll take the fox." She said before rushing forward again, blade held to her side before she quickly slashed ahead, the sword glowing with power as she aimed to cut across the large Reppamon.
Vorpal Cut: Slashes the air in front of him with such strenght that it cuts through solid matter with ease, ignoring whatever defense the oponent has to deal medium damage. Three posts cooldown.
Passives: I BRING WAR (2/4)
Cooldowns:
Vorpal Cut: (0/3) Hell's Army: (1/3) Hook: (2/2)

Apparently, the negotiations had been a success. That was a mixed blessing, potentially? For the time being, it was hard to tell, except for the fact that time was running out regarding whatever was happening in the rest of the island. There wasn’t a lot that she could do regarding this situation, except humbly acknowledge her shortcomings and hope that everyone else was playing her cards right.
Least to say, she was more than pleased by how she had navigated her own personal puzzle; knowing that she had single handedly turned the negotiation on its heels was no small feat for her, especially considering that technically she was no more and no less than half one of the many entities that had been summoned into this strange place.
How would things go from this point? It was impossible to predict, in all honesty. The Meicoomon wasn’t even sure what would happen to her after her perceived usefulness was exhausted, but she was playing this situation by ear. This would surely improve over time if everyone was doing their best. At the very least, she could count on Nami to do her part regarding that; whether that would be or not, though, was up in the air.
As for right now? The situation had devolved into quite the interesting position. Isimbi seemingly had decided to try and play with them and was actually willing to show some good will. Color the cat surprised; she actually hadn’t expected for that to work. It was unknown at the moment if that attempt would be truly successful or not, though.
At first, Mana gave Virkka a look after those words, and was only further surprised when the ‘reward’ for her efforts at negotiating were bestowed back to her. Talk about strange people, but she guessed that the reward was only as worth as the question asked and the value of the information provided. All in all, the feline wasn’t completely sure on what she wanted to ask, but also figured that anything too specific might just get rebuffed. Not to say that there was a particularly big question that had gone unanswered for the longest time.
After nodding at the LadyDevimon, she turned to face the MetalGreymon again, her eyes a little more serious than usual. “Very well then!” She declared, making a grandiose gesture with one of her paws. “So, I see that a good deal of the village is completely unaware of what’s happening outside. Something like this would reduce any city’s resources quite greatly. Not to say that, when combined with the annoying devices that limit the combat prowess of everyone in the island would’ve normally made it pretty hard for any conflict to be resolved in a reasonable time frame. Yet, the Unaba were completely unhindered in their conquests. What’s more, you all just stomped through the other tribes almost like a baby on dry leaves. How did you manage to do that? It’s quite the feat.”
Probably not the most pointed question, but something that was no doubt important to have in mind if these were going to be their future opponents. There was also the fact that it wasn’t unlikely that the truth wasn’t going to be given to her, or at least not in its totality. But that was a matter for later. It was a true pity that Nami’s strategy had proven to be ultimately useless since her allies hadn’t followed it along; she could’ve used that time for something actually productive, but crying over spilt milk was of no use. Nevertheless, the conflict continued, and now the Meicoomon resolved that trusting her teammates was a mistake she wouldn’t dare to repeat, something that was completely at odds with the fact that Ulak needed a continuous assault to be dealt with. So, what could be done about this?
At least for the time being, just buy as much time as possible and hope for the situation to slowly ebb in her favor. Otherwise, she could always abandon the scene and ditch the hopeless situation as what it was. Once again, the sudden heaviness that the Tyranomon projected weighed the cat down, just as he was readying himself for a potentially lethal strike; this wouldn’t have been nearly as cumbersome given her previous strategy had worked, but… nothing to be done there.
As the claw arced towards the Meicoomon, a familiar glow would envelope her body once again; this process was getting a little too old, but just as strategies and plans were formed… they dissolved just as easily. Once Venusmon emerged once again, she quickly avoided the attack by disengaging at a fairly high speed, once at a safe distance, the goddess stretched her arms lazily. “Inform. By now, it’s obvious you can’t deal with me. Likewise, and without the proper support it is impossible for me to deal with you. So, why don’t we play a small game instead? Your sister’s struggle is a lot more entertaining, so why don’t we just watch it to its conclusion and, if she wins, I’ll just let you two go without further opposition. But, if she doesn’t, you have to give up. Bet that sounds a lot more exciting than clashing with an opponent you can’t realistically beat.”
Truth or bravado? Maybe a little of both, considering their situation. It wasn’t like she had much choice in the matter, anyway. —Compassion [Passive Ability]: Given how gentle the average Venusmon tends to be, that means that Nami has to be as well, right? Probably not. In any case, she can periodically remove a harmful effect afflicting a nearby ally or herself. Cooldown: Two posts.

Post by Hisato and Bad Company on Jan 8, 2022 20:45:32 GMT
It was clear that chaos was the very force in charge of whatever was transpiring here. The Beelzemon could do naught but look on as Aleh seemed to be consumed by a ravenous hunger for power. A hunger that clouded her senses, her objectives. Delirium in every sense of the word. And all he could do was smile serenely. For he wasn't expecting death, oh no. He had anticipated something to spring forth to put a wrench in all of this. And he was correct, for a heroine had come forth, spear in hand to halt Aleh dead in her tracks. "I am. Thank you, Bruga." He seemed to recognize her immediately. Huh. "The form suits you." Of course, the Magnamon and the Snimon came walking from the Factory, lackadaisical in their steps. It was always something that the twins did whenever they were brought out of a fight and had to get back in. Approach it calmly. Assess what was occurring. Hisato looked to his partners, a frantic look on his face. "...Where'd...What..." ...He wasn't present for anything within the core, so...Of course he would be confused. Anyone would be. "Digimentals." Scarab stated, plainly. "We're tipping the scales, here and now." The Snimon stated amid the cacophony that was Aleh. Unfortunately there was a lot to read and a lot to really process down into something digestible. Through the efforts of Kenny O'Hara of KIZNA, Aleh had wound up trapped, and Nob-less. This was good. Scarab set his sights on that one. Well, figuratively...Blindness and all. But he could HEAR her. And that was all he needed. Aleh would feel a sense of being watched, a dreadful anxiety, the hunter's mark. Then, came a single word that even the bug didn't seem to know the depth of. Ukuzithiba. The Snimon moved at blinding speeds, an azure blur rippling through the air as he rushed for the trapped Aleh. And when he closed the distance? A ring ensnared the two, right as it lashed it's arms for her. Waves of force went out with the intent to tear through Aleh. And as if that wasn't bad enough? Scarab got even closer, trying to use the sickles on his arms to try and rip further into Aleh. There was no banter. Just a simple desire for an end to this. As Skadi gave Gyo his energy, Caine felt it would be prudent to do the same--a hand being extended forth as he put his all into the gesture. Both would be felt by the Magnamon, who promptly closed his eyes. Scarab already had the loud one covered, so it was a matter of... ... The other one. The one that the Venusmon was dealing with. That was one of the heroines, right? He was going to hate doing this, but...Neccessity. Close the gap. A blow for the back to start off. One. Likely going to result in an attempt to counter. Block the result. Jab for the stomach. Discombobulate. Two and three. Second blow to the stomach. Four. Finish it with a fist through the chest. Five. Amazombe. You may think this was a Sherlock Holmes-esque spitting in the back of the head. It wasn't. It was a visualization of oncoming disaster, a fell omen of death. Gyo soared towards Ulak with malicious intent, and blinding speed. And thus, came the storm of blows. Would Ulak live to see the end?
HELP
Caine shares his energy with Gyo. That's all he wrote. This show belongs to the twins. Scarab activates Hunter's Mark on Aleh, before using Ukuzithiba to isolate her. His free attack there? Look below. Ukuzithiba: If Scarab can hear his enemy, he can use Uzukithiba to lock them and go after them. He uses Shadow Sickle after activating the technique to open up Aleh, hopefully. THEN he activates his passive, BFG Division/Oath of Enma to allow him to act AGAIN before he uses Sickle Cutter! Shadow Sickle: The insectoid swings it’s sickle-like arms out to send out a super fast shockwave of sheer force out to slice through an enemy, shields and all. Two post cooldown. Sickle Cutter: A simple melee attack utilizing the sickles on Snimon’s arms. They’re long, they’re pointy, and they absolutely goddamn hurt. One post cooldown. Meanwhile, Gyo uses Amazombe. Eat shit, Ulak. Amazombe: In order to use Amazombe, Gyo must gather the energy of two allies. Cooldowns: Heartbreak Shot: 3/3 Berenjena: 0/1

Justice. Ozith Village XVII. As she closely listened to Mana’s question, Virkka folded her arms and allowed a wide grin to be drawn on her mouth. With her and the Hagurumon being the only ones in the meeting that actually knew the Meicoomon was not a part of the Dusk Pirates, this question revealed more to the vamp than it did to anyone else. Her eyes widened when Mana spoke about some devices limiting power. Isimbi seemed quite shocked too. “How do you…?” He muttered under his deep tone of voice. After that, he allowed Mana to finish the question, somewhat at the expectative of what else she could mention. “So you have talked to the others in the village…” He noted. “Yes. The truth is we cannot allow them to know what is happening on the rest of the island. Causing panic among our people would bring no benefit whatsoever.”“If anything, that means you have successfully put the rest of the dinosaurs on the island under control, right? Excluding small… nests of trouble, like the scientist at the factory, it is still amazing you have subdue the rest of the island to your control. Assuming you can keep that for long, of course.” Virkka giggled at the end of her sentence. “We don’t need to keep it for long.” Isimbi noted, glancing at Virkka for a second before looking at Mana again to answer. “ You probably already know our island is divided in three major tribes. Hlonipha, Idimoni, and Unaba. The first one is the tribe of intelligence, digimons with wide knowledge in multiple disciplines and remarkable skills to enhance their learning speed. They are significantly less skillful at fighting than the other two, so you can imagine how that went.” “So you took care of those quite easily… What about the Idimoni?” “Hehe…” “The Idimoni are the so-called heroes of Idayi. They are the tribe full of courageous warriors that also specialize on artistic skills. Mother assigned them the task to lead Unaba on a strategic level, and work together with us to protect the island against possible threats. They are set to be the leaders of Idayi when we need them the most, and their members have more than remarkable combat skills. Basically, every warrior in Idayi dreamt about becoming an Idimoni. Due to their underlying issues to spread their data, very few digimon in Idayi are born under the Idimoni mark so, although powerful, we greatly exceed them in number. That’s not to say they are not capable of opposing resistance. ” Isimbi developed his explanation calmly. “And then there’s Unaba…” “We are the true army of Idayi. Although our skills for strategic combat cannot match Idimoni, we were supposed to defend the island through brute force when necessary. The combat skills and sheer power of our members cannot be matched. That, combined with the fact we clearly outnumbered them, allowed us to beat Idimoni. Once we did, Hlonipha was easy.” Isimbi explained. Although slow in pace, there was a gist of pride in his voice. “So… if you have sheer power, that… device Mana mentioned…” Virkka took her hand to her chin as she mused. “You are the ones that thing puts in the biggest disadvantage."“Mother knew what she was doing.” “Who is this… Mother you mention?” The LadyDevimon lifted an eyebrow with a curious expression. “I have already said enough for a single question.”
Virkka let out a sigh, glancing at the Meicoomon next to her for a second. “Well, hopefully you’re somewhat satisfied.” She noted while taking a standing position again and starting to walk away. “We'll see you at the lab. Let’s go… ”As the trio made their way to the door at their side of the room, a massive earthquake shook the whole building. Isimbi looked at the roof shaking above him, right when Goro came into the room from the door behind him. “Sir…!”
At the balcony above, Daichi and Han would feel the earthquake too, making the railing tremble violently “Goro… What is happening!?” He asked worriedly. “I have no idea! It comes from the dungeons!” “You…!” The MetalGreymon stood up violently, looking at the vamp at the other side of the room. The tension rose significantly again. Virkka turned over her shoulder to show the dinosaur a sly grin. “Surprising as it may be, we have nothing to do with that.” She noted. “But your dinos at the factory have yet to cease fire against my crewmates. So it wouldn’t be a fair trade for me to help you this soon into our deal, would it?” The tall, humanoid digimon turned again and started daintily walking again. “Good luck…” She noted lifting her right hand to wave goodbye with the back of it. “Huh?”
“Who are you?”
“What kind of digimon is that!?”
“I’ve never seen anything like it…”
Panic kept spreading among the prisoners, even if a portion of them was shocked at the mere sight of a species they had never seen before. “Just wait for my call.” Ina answered Jin’s question, her eyes affixed to the inventory in front of her. “What the hell are you doing?” Out of the sheer darkness, a familiar figure materialized. Lire was walking through the murky room looking at the giant cages around her. “It looks like these cages are stopping them from using their skills. That’s how they’re keeping them here.” She noted. “So you’re really going to help her go all the way, huh?” The Coronamon looked at Jin, then at Ina again. “You’re lucky our negotiation didn’t go as planned, Ina, or I would stop you from causing any harm to our allies right now.” The pirate noted while showing her silver claws. Then, she stared at the Igamon, looking quite angry. “However, I still have some matters to settle with your friend right here. Now that our temporary alliance is over.”Ina glanced at the lioness, but still remained focused on completing her task as quick as possible. “Trespassing into our ship, and even… stealing our precious power…” Lire recapped upset, as her paw started glowing with yellow energy. “I cannot forgive you!” Suddenly, the whole room… no, the whole building had started shaking! “Huh?”
Anyone inside that murky dungeon could feel a massive amount of energy coming from the core of Ina’s inventory. The item had grown on size significantly and was now shaking erratically, letting out small bursts of electricity around it. The few lights spread around the place started going on and off. Up above, Daichi could hear loud white noise coming from his own inventory. The cells that held the dinosaur prisoners started shaking too, as the electricity circled around them. Somehow, the metallic bars that were solid as rocks before now trembled as the material they were made of had weakened significantly. They looked… vulnerable. “W-What is happening?” “Ina! What did you do?”
The Monodramon glanced at her partner. “Now, Jin!” Ultimate Brachimon XVII. That peak in action the Ultimate Brachimon group had reached recently was about to meet its abrupt end. However, the string of events that would unfold before that happened was so ample things needed to be explained straightforwardly. The first movement of the turn was made by Ulak. He seemed to have completely ignored Nami’s proposal and, instead, focused on his sister. The pressure the former Meicoomon was feeling would slowly vanish, as the Tyrannomon seemed to have fully shifted his attention towards Aleh. For the first time since facing this enemy, Nami’s inventory would update, letting her know what type of technique had been used this time. The distribution of those around the battlefield changed dramatically right after that. Once Scarab approached Aleh after targeting her, Bruga, Caine and Amelie were jutted away from that small area they were occupying earlier. The runes below the DarkTyrannomon disappeared as soon as the Shakomon left the area, pushed away by an invisible force field Scarab had generated before creating that blue-energy circle that isolated her and Aleh from anyone else. “W-What the... !?” “Scarab!”
The fact that Aleh was able to move again gained huge importance, and then stopped being relevant immediately. The barrage of missiles she was terrified of was disintegrated by scorching blue energy materializing around each projectile. Then, the barrier surrounding her and Scarab did its job, while the speed of the insect allowed him to reach her swiftly. One, and two strikes. Ulak was on the receiving end of a mighty combo, coming from Gyo himself. The punches, blows, and kicks delivered by the Mangamon made the Tyrannomon bounce back, again and again, turning into a beautiful succession of clean strikes. When both of these techniques finished, both Aleh and Ulak looked significantly tired, with the Tyrannomon showing the biggest amount of strain. Although drained of energy, they both showed a grin simultaneously. Despite their exhaustion, they seemed unscathed. “HOW!?” “I told you... to … leave… Aleh” Ulak reprimanded his sister. “I don't know what was that but... it was… awfully close.” He added breathing heavily. “I know, I know… I may have… underestimated these bastards.” Aleh admitted, in what seemed to be the first reflective sentence she had entertained in all of this time. “How? It looked like those techniques should have w-!” Bruga’s sentence was interrupted as she noticed… someone walking through Ultimate Brachimon’s force field and into the clear. Whatever Caine had been feeling for a while… was finally here. A Troopmon leisurely strolled into the clear, humming, her red cape blowing with the windy rain. As she walked, multiple purple, dark portals materialized around her. From each of those, Hangyomons stormed out, floating around the area and staying close to each of the digimon and humans round the clear. The Troopmon kept walking, going by Nami in her Venusmon form, and getting closer to Ulak, at the foot of the crumbling factory. “Huh?” She tilted her head with curiosity, looking at the blonde humanoid digimon. “Oh! ‘t’s you, pal! Things got a bit fussy around here, didn’t they?”“W-Who the hell…?” Aleh blinked astonished as the circus of odd creatures trying to meddle in their plans kept growing. Meanwhile, Amelie was completely frozen, her eyes wide open as she saw the situation developed. “I told you we should have left…” “H-H-How could I've known SHE was going to show up!?”
The voice of these two raised the Troopmon’s attention, as she turned her head to look above the roof of the factory. “Well, I’ll be… If it’s Treasure Hunter Amelie and Korka, the Dusk Pirate’s navigator. This is an alliance made in hell if there is one!” She noted in a relaxed tone, while Amelie trembled. The Hyagomon surrounded the pirates, their spears out and water swirling around their bodies. One of the Hyagomon floating around approached the Troopmon back at the clear below to give a quick report. “We’re clear, Admiral. There’s one more digimon inside the factory. No more digimons around the forest." “I suggest you don’t move a muscle.” Korka muttered as he noticed Bruga trying to reincorporate. His eyes slowly trailed around, looking at the Hyagomon surrounding them. “ She’s Navy Admiral Fran. I'd argue she's even more dangerous than a Treasure Hunter. ”“You’re from that Wubaba tribe, ain’t you?” The Troopmon asked, her attention now shifting towards Ulak. “Listen bud’, I need a word or two with ya’”“Where do you all… keep coming from?” “So… the Durapror Manuscripts. Where are they?” Fran raised her head again, this time to address everyone around the battlefield. “This fight is over, by the way. In case y’all were wondering.” “Ulak…!!!” Aleh yelled in desperation, as she was only now realizing something. “T-T-The scientist…I-I don’t know where he went!”Kenny, on his side, was not exempt from this mess. Some of these amphibian creatures were surrounding him as well. The most worrying part of the whole ordeal was just about to hit the human. After getting no response from the Nise Agumon and taking a better look at him, he would realize… this was not a living being. He was holding some kind of ragdoll with the design of Nob… Although it felt real when held, and his size and shape were exactly like the Nise Agumon’s, Kenny was not holding a digimon. This figure then vanished as the data forming it disbanded. Mysterious Ship XVII. It seemed that, somehow, Sasha feeling relieved both physically and mentally had boosted her partners morale for what they were about to face. Bon nodded firmly when receiving orders, and got into a fighting stance. In the Musyamon analogy, if this was a turn-based videogame, the next turn was about to begin! With that, the stage glowed with a light green aura in the shape of a circle, that relieving sensation circling through Sasha’s body again. Bon smiled as he seemed to have also been benefited from Kenna’s healing this time! Right after that, the dinosaur dashed forward at great speed, while the scientist’s ship remained to hover over the battlefield, causing soft currents of winds to blow. Rain had started falling, too. “So quick!” “Here I… go!” The Agumon shouted as he jumped and crossed the air. One by one, he started shooting fireballs at Bruyne. These seemed to take the ogre by surprise, a curtain of smoke and sand being lifted around him. “That was a hit!”
This time, Bon manage to land correctly some meters behind the Fugamon and this cloud of smoke that had appeared from his impact. As soon as hitting the sand, Bon realized he was surrounded. The smaller copies of Kuda had made a circle around the Agumon “Eh!?” One by one, they dashed towards him, their tail spinning at great speed and glowing with bolts of blue energy. “Bon!”
The Agumon barely managed to dodge one or two of these slashes, the rest hitting him dead on. Severely injured, he fell on the sand. The copies were not going anywhere, though. They remained surrounding Bon, ready to strike again. As Sasha’s Vorpal Cut traveled towards her target, she would realize she had some other issues. Almost as if she wasn’t 10 meters tall, the Reppamon jumped quickly to turn her back at the source of the attack, her tail flailing quickly to repel it. A portal materialized right at the point where Vorpal Cut should strike, although the Reppamon didn’t seem to be unscathed by it, as she let out another growl that echoed through the beach. From this mysterious portal, a beam of blue, electric energy, similar to the one surrounding the smaller Reppamon’s tails, was shot towards Sasha at great speed, splitting the sand as it traveled, like a giant projectile making way towards its target. As if that wasn’t enough, whatever was left of Sasha after the potential impact would find herself surrounded by another army of smaller Reppamons. From there, she could still see the other group of foxes surrounding Bon, so… “Is it that technique again? It has no cooldown!!” She could hear Kenna’s voice through her inventory, as these creatures dashed towards her to try slashing her again with their energy-charged scythe-tails. “This is bad!” It was likely the mysterious nature of the Dusk Pirate’s attacks and the fact she couldn’t know right away what technique they were using made everything harder for Sasha. However, if she was still standing, Kenna would make sure to relay her observations from above. “Those foxes surrounding Bon look different… as if they were about to banish. Could those be the ones that attacked you earlier? Then… the ones that attacked you just now are new ones. That’s a problem, considering it's a technique that lasts for multiple turns…” Sasha would need to use her wits to capitalize from all the factors at her disposal and stop these two. It's 11:02 am. It's raining over Idayi Island.
Caine's Seer gave him some information!
-The digimon that was approaching the factory has finally arrived. Caine can feel an immense power coming from this Troopmon.
The inventory has gotten some new information on the fights taking place. Ultimate Brachimon:
-Ulak used Shintsha! -Ulak swapped his passives with Aleh's! -Aleh nullified the damage from Shadow Sickle thanks to Split and conquer -Aleh nullified the damage from Sickle Cutter thanks to Split and conquer -Ulak is being targeted by more than one single enemy, therefore he nullifies the damage from each hit from Amazombe.
Some moves!
Ulak:
-Shintsha: This move has high priority over any other technique used by both allies and enemies, and it takes effect at the very start of the turn. If Ulak can see Aleh, he can use a great amount of energy to swap all of his passives with Aleh's for the rest of the turn, leaving him significantly exhausted. Cooldown: 3 posts.
Mysterious Ship
Sasha now finds out that what Kuda used the past turn was Counter and what Bruyne used was Crushing Star. Kenna used Relief Droplet on the battlefield! Sasha and Bon were healed by Relief Droplet! Bon uses Umililo and hits Bruyne! Umililo interrupted Bruyne's Crushing Star! Crushing Star triggers and Bruyne gets ready for next turn! Bon takes damage from King of the Swarm Kuda's Counter was activated She reflected Vorpal Cut, but due to Vorpal Cut's passive, she couldn't half the damage and took full damage instead! Kuda uses King of the Swarm on Sasha Bon is awaiting for orders!
More moves!
Counter!:[Last turn] Kuda doubles her attack for the next three turns, meaning all of her techniques (including the ones that had been cast before this) deal twice as much damage. Then she prepares for any incoming technique that can be launched at her. If a technique that would deal damage to Kuda targets her next turn, she jumps immediately to parry it. Kuda will take half the damage the technique would cause and open a portal that aims to cause the full damage the technique would have caused to her, shot in the form of a beam of electric energy that aims straight for the user. Kuda can still use another technique that turn.
Crushing star [Last turn]: Bruyne doubles his attack power for the next 5 turns. If Bruyne doesn’t receive damage next turn, he will jolt towards the enemy at great speed to slam his mace with mighty energy, aiming to crush them. This technique causes a huge amount of damage and cannot be hindered or ignored by any defensive passive or active skill. If Bruyne takes damage next turn, he will automatically use Crushing Star again, doubling his attack once again, as this boost can stack.
Post order for Ultimate Brachimon: -Manami -Hisato Aizawa -Kenny O'Hara

Things took an interesting turn when Mana mention the devices keeping everyone at the same power, yet it seems that they were mostly aware of said fact, so what he thought was their secret weapon wasn't as secret and most likely wouldn't have much of an effect if a fight happens for real, that aside there was something interesting in the conversation, specifically the other tribes and the mention of a "mother" who undoubtedly was Kenna.
What the teen could gather from all of this is that the kidnapped mons they are hopefully rescuing, are strategist and born leaders, which split may not do much against the overall power of Unaba since they are the real blood warriors, but if the tribes were together this escape could push the balance on their side, not only having a sheer number advantage but also having strategist and strong willed digimon that could take on Unaba without fear, this was their one true ace under the sleeve and hopefully Jin and Ina were about to pull it out.
And then another earthquake hit the place and all Daichi could wish is that they weren't spotted yet, his mind drifted back to the first earthquake, was this produced by the Ultimate Brachimon group too? Or this was something else? The one thing he was sure is that he wanted to leave this place ASAP!
It seemed that Jin's words only make the mons in their cells even more paranoid and panicky, but what else was he suppose to do? Ina was still working so he had to wait a little bit more and then his main worry show her face, Lire who said that the cages seemed to block the digimon's powers and that their deal with the Unaba tribe didn't got exactly as planned and then she looked at Jin.
"I don't remember asking for your forgiveness" The ninja glare at the cat knowing exactly where this was going noticing the energy on her paw "Threatening me while my brother and master are not present would be an extremely coward act however..." As he was about to finish his sentence Ina finish her work and the inventory was going crazy sending electricity everywhere and the lights on the room turning on and off
One thing was sure, the cells weren't as tough as they were just seconds ago and with Ina's words the Igamon knew what he had to do, creating a couple of clones the ninjas would unsheathe their swords and strike at the bars to free the dinosaurs.
"Everyone run upstairs! You'll find a human and a Koemon follow them and you'll be free!" Said one of the ninjas striking the cells

Was Mana’s question the correct one? The incorrect one? Be as it may, it was too late to have last-minute regrets regarding an opportunity that had passed already, especially after knowing the answer to her query. The feline barely managed to contain a grin of satisfaction regarding knowledge that she might or might not have been able to divulgue, yet that would nonetheless further hamper whatever hold Isimbi thought he had in a situation like this one.
“It’s not something extremely hard to find out.” She limited herself to reply in a quick, yet somewhat curt and playful way. Nevertheless, that wasn’t something that mattered a lot for the current conversation. The MetalGreymon's answer had managed to be a fairly… boring, yet effective one. When everyone was roughly equal in the fighting prowess department, numbers were majorly what mattered the most in order to settle conflicts. And it seemed like the Unaba had those to spare, even while keeping their citizens in the dark regarding these developments. Fascinating, yet worrying at the same time.
Mana could give herself a fairly good idea regarding who this ‘mother’ was as well, but at least for the time being, she decided to remain silent, partly because chiming into the conversation anymore, and partly because she had to consciously make an effort at not being surprised when she was referred to by her name. It took her a couple seconds, but she managed to recompose herself, her usual cheery disposition returning to her face in full force.
She nodded at the LadyDevimon’s words before the surprising earthquake shook the building for some moments; while curious regarding the development, Mana’s curiosity definitely lied with her mysterious benefactor now. So, in a quick gesture, the cat followed after the disengaging party.
If the situation presented itself and she was sure the group was far away enough from any possible listeners, the feline would speak. “And little me over here was about to introduce herself.” Mana said, grinning. “But that’s not very important right now! Thanks for the helping hand.”
A couple seconds passed before she spoke again. “I’ll cut to the chase. I have two questions; I doubt you did that out of the goodness of your heart. What’s expected from me after that favor? And…” This time, curiosity was evident in the cat’s expression. “You’re not really counting on this alliance happening, are you? It’s fairly clear that the Unaba aren’t very trustworthy. I might be out of place, but what’s the plan?”
There weren’t precisely high, but the chances of her two questions being linked weren’t non-existent either. In the end, Nami judged her presence as extremely useless when it came to the events that would come to unfold; unless Ulak managed to be on the far side of the smart versus dim-witted scale, she doubted her plan would work, and without proper support in this situation, there was absolutely nothing she could do in regards to it; the only thing she could manage to hope was for her sister to have a less frustrating time in her own endeavor.
Nevertheless, there was certainly a measure of progress on the fight, considering that at least one of the Tyrannomons had almost been dealt a critical blow. Keyword being almost.
And then…? It just happened. Who would’ve thought that the digimon who had been a stowaway with her happened to be some kind of admiral. Slowly, Nami’s form once again reverted to Meicoomon as she heaved a sigh, both of relief and frustration. She gave the situation a look before finally answering. “Greetings. I wouldn’t be so sure about it myself. Be as it may, whatever was happening ended, however.”
Her curious glance was maintained on the environment. Life was full of surprises. However, she cared little regarding the actors and events currently undergoing. It came without saying that her grasp on the situation was tenuous at best, so, from her position, she just gave the Troopmon one final look.
“Query. What now? I assume you’re planning on doing something; else the Hangyomons wouldn’t have been deployed.”
There was always the hope that they would not be part of whatever was happening next, but that seemed fairly unlikely.
