To celebrate the new V5 site, we have decided to re-implement the jobs system. For those of you that don't know what that is, your character does a job IC, and is paid some bits or posts. A quick easy way to get some cash fast. The rules are as follows: A member would be allowed to do four jobs per character, per month They would have the option of writing a minimum of ten paragraph post describing the work that they have done (only one post though to prevent farming for posts by posting two or three paragraphs at a time as a solo thread) To prevent creating a jumble of one-and-done threads, there would be a stickied thread in each of the MAIN BOARDS in the different boards for people to post their Job on. In that sense, it would work similar to the Mall. They would be considered IC posts and after so often, the posts would be archived to help keep things looking clean. Staff could check the thread regularly and award Bits to those who completed the task. Each Job will be worth 1500 Bits or 5 posts, unless otherwise stated on the job itself. Now if they really wanted to do something special, they can request an NPC with a staff and create their own thread. However, the minimum paragraphs posted would increase to 20, but the reward would also increase to 3000 Bits or 10 posts. Other Job Boards: Northern ProminenceWestern FlatlandsEastern TimberlandsSouthern TropicsThe Digital CoreDark AreaEmpyrean SkiesPlease put this template at the start of each post [b]Job:[b] [b]Bits or Posts:[b] Name of Job: Hard Labor Reward Offered: 1500 bits or 5 Posts Plot Description: The Terabyte mountain. Home to some of the greatest mines in the digital word, and with recent influx of visitors, we have been running out of raw materials. We are desperate enough to hire wandering Humans or Digimon. Payment will be received upon procurement of raw materials. Name of Job: Lost and Found Reward Offered: 1500 bits or 5 posts Plot Description: Unfortunately, living in a giant tundra has its downsides. One of them is when some idiot decides to go exploring into the frozen tundra, completely unaware of how dangerous it is. Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't. Your job is to go out and search for them. We will lend you all the gear you need, and will pay you. Whether you find someone alive, dead, or not at all, any help is happily accepted.

Having spent much time in the Southern Tropics, Everett had grown more than sick and tired of the climate. Sure, he loved the beach, the vacation like sensation which the binary archipelago gave off. Why, with the palm trees, the ocean breeze, the endless sands, it was a place out of a post card, and it was lovely. For a little while. But Everett, much like his partner, was not one to dwell in a heated area for too long. They’d both decided that it was time to move on out of there.
They set out north, seeking the exact opposite of where they had just been. They wanted to go to a place where they could cool down, maybe do some sledding, build a fort and have a snowball fight, and best of all, curl up by a fire place with a nice flask and a cindering cigar. After all, nothing beat that feeling of searing smoke chased into your lungs by a crisp frost. Excited at the prospect of doing something completely different, the duo rejoiced once snow began crunching beneath their feet.
Days grew shorter, the nights colder, and soon Everett and Graedon realized that their journey to the village would only become tougher and tougher. Graedon did the only thing he could think of to help them and digivolved into WaruMonzaemon. He summoned a large bubble from his chest, goopy and slightly rancid, but warm. Scooping up his tamer, he encased them both inside the sphere and controlled it into the air. Levitating over the mountain scape, the duo saw plenty of incredible scenery. Mountains with hard drives and cables poking out, a sky full of microchip patterns, snow that looked as though crop circles had been carved every several feet from one another, and a corpse in the middle of a of frozen tundra. Wait, what?
By the time Everett had realized what he saw amidst the mountain’s chasms, Graedon had sped up and they were nearing the village. As they landed, the bruin degenerated into his original form, the excess data from his previously massive stature and the goopy mass dissipating and returning to Everett’s digivice. They stretched their limbs and took a few steps into the frigid environment, and Everett noticed something interesting. On a cork board by the chalet was a poster, a picture of a smiling Apemon, the word “MISSING” sloppily scribbled below. In small red-inked script, there was another line written. ”Reward offered, please see Terriermon”
A reward? Of course he was going to help! Aside from Graedon mugging random shmucks, this was Everett’s only real way of getting any profit in this world. Not that he needed much of it to get by, but it was always good to have money. Where there was money, there was bribery, and that’s always been his strongest weapon. ”Whaddya think buddy?” he grinned at the Bearmon. ”Profit? I’m in! But just to be clear, I ain’t sharing if I end up doing all the work!” the snide creature shot sarcastically. ”Don’t be ridiculous. I’m always the one that does all the work anyway.” Snatching the poster, the man tucked it away in his pocket, grabbed Graedon, and set out to find Terriermon.
The pair didn’t have to travel far at all. In fact, as they entered the chalet, Graedon’s eyes darter to the green-fleeced bunny right away. He was sitting in front of the fireplace on a Garurumon skin, ears wrapped around his body as he sobbed in silence. Normally, the thuggish bear would take this opportunity to pick a fight and jeer at the saddened rookie, but not today; this rookie would be his employer, which meant money. That meant he’d have to pretend to be nice, at least for a little while. ”Hey man what’s wrong?” Graedon said as he approached the blanketed stranger, his voice oddly warm for once. An act, no doubt, but still odd to hear from this digimon.
Black beady eyes shot up at him, overflowing with tears. ”Oh, oh it’s um… it’s my um… my brother’s um… he’s um…” the small beast stuttered, struggling to keep his voice steady. ”Um, I’m sorry… I’m just so.. um…” Rolling his eyes behind his sunglasses, the lawyer grew impatient. He pulled out the sheet of paper which he’d picked up earlier, holding it out in front of the wordless Terriermon. ”Is this from you?” he asked. Nodding his heavy head, the bunny digimon took the sheet of paper in his hands. ”That’s him! That’s my um… that’s my brother. He’s missing. Um, I’m not the one offering the reward, but um, the digimon at the desk will. They um… they’ll give you, um.” ”We’ll supply you with everything you need to go find this poor fella!” a country voice rose from behind them, and right away the duo spun around to look at the other party.
The mon was large, a chubby digimon no doubt. Covered in long matted hair everywhere except on his hands and feet, the digimon resembled a yeti. ”The name’s Mojyamon! Come on over this way friends, let’s talk about this here situation.” the giant snow beast led them away from the lobby, behind closed doors so that Terriermon wouldn’t have a chance of hearing them. ”Now between us, that boy’s brother was as dumb as a rock” Mojyamon began. ”That don’t mean we shouldn’t go get him. I mean, I warned him real good that these here parts ain’t safe, but that ape just stormed on out an’ we aint seen him in days. His brother’s stuck here until we get that guy back, or at least know what’s going on with him. The deal is, if you can find him in whatever shape he’s in, we’ll pay you. If you get a lead or bring back clues, we’ll pay you. If you find anything at all that could lead to his location, we’ll pay you. We’ll give you jackets, snow shoes, climbing gear, whatever you need for the search. Simple?” The Mojyamon grumbled a little, rustling through a nearby closed and yanking out some old supplies. ”Take what you need, off you go. Just be back by night fall or your faces will probably end up on another poster in the missing section”
Graedon and Everett each grabbed a heavy leather and wool coat as well as a long coil of heavy-duty rope, and headed out the door. Everett knew that they wouldn’t be out too long; that body he saw from overhead, that must have been the Apemon. ”I know where he is, Grae. We have to go back the way we came.” ”Well I don’t remember where that is! Point me south and we’ll go there.” ”What am I, a compass? You should remember where you came from! He was around the tundra somewhere, I think.” Between their bickering, Graedon digivolved up to his ultimate stage, taking to the skies once again in his hovering bubble. The duo hovered around the northern province, focusing their attention around the frozen tundra area. At last, the bear spotted the ape’s body from up high.
Lowering himself and his tamer, they landed beside the champion’s body. It looked frozen over, the digimon’s expression blank and void, snow and ice layered atop his skin. ”This doesn’t look too good.” remarked the lawyer ”Tie him up, We’ll haul him back over. Dead or alive, doesn’t matter, we get our money.” Graedon spoke coldly, his deep raspy vocals lacking any emotion. Everett could have cared less though; he quickly wrapped the rope around the frozen digimon’s body, securing it three times over to be sure it would hold, and off they set back to the town.
Upon arrival, the Terriermon immediately ran outside, cheeks soaked with waterfalls of tears. He leapt onto the Apemon’s cold torso, arms hugging him as tightly as possible. Everett and Graedon watched as Mojyamon approached the Terriermon, placing a large hand on his miniscule frame. ”I’m sorry,” he spoke silently in a somber tone. ”I don’t think he will last with us, Terriermon. I believe he is on the brink of passing.” As the yeti digimon spoke, a large cloud of data particles erupted from the beast’s corpse, leaving nothing but a hysterical rookie alone in the snow.
The tamer and his partner looked at one another awkwardly, unsure of what to say. Really, they just wanted their money, and despite the depressing situation, it wasn’t their business. The last thing they needed now was to get stuck taking care of this cry baby. They needed to split fast. ”Uh, sorry about your brother, kid…” commented the tall man. ”Hey Mojyamon, here’s your stuff back. I know this ain’t the best timing, but you know, we did what we needed to, and we’ve got places to be… y’know.” Slightly taken aback at the rudeness, the yeti digimon scowled. Although, as promised, he reached into his pouch and handed Everett his prize. An awkward silence fell between them, and right then, they knew that was their cue to leave. Without another word, the pair spun around and headed away from the scene.

SOVE Bits Paid
Job: Lost and Found Bits or Posts: Bits That night on the beach had been cool enough, Mana thought. Karin had somewhat helped to calm her troubled mind about what to do about her dilemma, the sand was really comfy, and she would start squealing sooner or later of she started to think about the sea. It was all really fantastic, but Mana knew herself, and that meant that even all those things would just turn boring if she only went there, and Ayaka didn’t like the unfertile ground that the beach was, and that just made her decision. They would explore the Digital World’s wondrous places! And so, they started to move out of the Archipelago.
They started their travels in a really cool Trailmon. As they went north, we would even describe some of the things that his previous passengers had done on those destinies. Granted, those tales seemed to be somewhat exaggerated and the things the digimon did there surely seemed surreal and the power they mustered at their odds even was greater the Vikaralm… Vikarlam… Piggy! As they advanced, she actually thought what the Trailmon said about the place where they were heading to. “Desolate Tundra” was it’s name. It surely seemed fun!
She was undeterred when the Trailmon said that she could only bring her that far because the rest of the way could be blocked because of snowstorms, but she didn’t make a big deal of it. Maybe snowstorms weren’t her everyday stuff, but Ayaka could even make her own when she evolved to Cherrimmon! So what was her reason to be afraid? Maybe the thing that unsettled her most was that sunlight seemed to be quite the commodity. She had learn of this on Geography class, but seeing days that short in person was just… weird, not necessarily in a bad way, but just weird. The climate was the other thing. Yeah, maybe they weren’t in a snowstorm, but the little snowflakes were relentlessly falling from the sky and in that moment she was glad that she had bought a good deal of spare clothes for this kind of climates, because otherwise she would be outright freezing herself. The place was a little colder than she originally felt Ōno was, but because she had lived so long in Shibuya she had grown unaccustomed to the these cold climates and a pang of homesickness struck her again, but she shooed it aside really fast. This just wasn’t time to felt homesick because they were discovering new places!
As the pair descended from the train-like digimon, the little girl regarded the little faerie-plant with her big honey eyes, as if expectant. The Kodamon looked back at her and just sighed in defeat. “Yes, miss Mana. Now is a good time to use the digimental. Let’s just hope that the result won’t be anything too sensible to cold environments or we’ll have to walk to the nearest village. Mana made a wide smile at her partner and brought out her digivice, but… “Uh, how does exactly this thing work again?” she naively asked to her partner. “You already don’t remember? You are indeed hopeless, miss Mana. You just bring out your digivice and say ‘Digimental up!’ That should be enough to trigger the process of digievolution. It could not be more simple” “Okay, let’s do it! Digimental up!”
A purple light was projected from her digivice and upon hitting Ayaka, she started to grow. She began to take a hunched posture as limbs protruded from her body. When the light vanished, Mana could only look at her partner’s new form with awe. It was a green and purple spider that was more or less Foxy-san’s size. Green moss seemed to grow from its chitinous exoskeleton and her abdomen was absolutely overcrowded by fungi. Said spider regarded her partner quietly for an instant before gesturing “Sso… are we going or not? You sshould be already on me, missss Mana” the giant arachnid inquired. “Ayaka… YOU LOOK AWESOME!” she squealed “I can believe you had turned into a spider!” She then pointed her D-3 at her. She was called Nephilamon now and her changed to Insect, but other than that, most of the stuff was really the same. Wait, insect? But she’s a spider! These digimon taxonomy was indeed really weird. “Well, sshall we?” Ayaka said with something akin to a smirk. “Yeah, let’s go!” and then, she hopped on Ayaka’s back.
Well, what could Mana say, Ayaka’s Nephilamon form was really something out of a fantasy book. Granted, it wasn’t as fast a Foxy-san’s armor form, but as days grew short and the snow started to become one their problems, her legs seemed to adapt almost immediately at it, forming the most close thing to snowshoes a spider can have. And even then, she was somewhat lying she had said that she was slower. Every now and then, Ayaka would release a cloud of white spores that made her feel as if she had been eating pure sugar for an hour or so, but the point was that it made her move incredibly fast. It was a really lucky thing that the moss that covered Ayaka’s body was really sticky, or otherwise she wouldn’t be able to hold on something that was advancing at such a breakneck speed. That way, the travelled north at a really good pace, at least until the snowstorm started.
Mana could feel how the cold was starting to chill her to the bone, even though the thick coat that was covering her slim features. They had to find a refuge or the city fast, or she would most likely fell ill. But as they advanced, they could only find and endless expanse of cold wasteland. Not that they could see much, mind you, as the snowstorm was really thick, but it seemed that the luck had smiled on them, as they found a cave in what seemed to be the nick of time. It seemed to be deep enough, and even… it seemed that it was inhabited by something! She started getting close to the darkened figure on the cave as Ayaka devolved to her Kodamon form and made the necessary preparations: the moss that her Nephilamon form left behind and the native from the cave was not that much, but it was more than enough to make themselves comfortable in this frozen waste.
It was a blue doglike digimon, but bipedal. He seemed to be snuggled into one of the cave’s corner and not move at all. As Mana approached him, she could see that she was at the brink of hypothermia, and immediately brought her to where Ayaka was. They both helped him at the best of their ability, and it seemed to work mostly because they have found him just before his condition reached a really severe point. “Thank you for your kindness, Er…” “The name’s Mana” she was quick to introduce herself “And her’s Ayaka. You don’t have to thank us. It was a pleasure to help you…” “Gaomon” now it was his turn “Well, I must thank you nonetheless, you have shared your food with me without expecting anything in return. You know, I live in a village not that far away here. Maybe we can go in there once this storm ends and so I’ll be able to repay you there”. The duo looked at each other, Mana smiling, and Ayaka already sighing at the fact that she’ll have to be the means of transportation for two beings now.
The short trip to the village was rather uneventful. Ayaka was just too fast to make anything exciting happen, but after almost chilling herself out on a rather literal way, Mana was thankful for that. It was indeed a small village that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but Mana gueesed it beat being on a cold cave with makeshift moss furniture. As they entered there, another doglike digimon was waiting in there, although he was quadruped and more or less of Ayaka’s size. “Gaomon, you’re back!” he said relieved “We were all so worried about you! You shouldn’t have gone into the tundra with a snowstorm alert up! Mom was just worried sick about you and dad was about to go in there himself!” he then noticed the giant spider and the little girl that were with him “Who are supposed to be you?” “I’m sorry, nii-san. It won’t happen again” he apologized, although it didn’t seem very sincere “She’s Mana” he said gesturing to the girl “And she’s Ayaka. They both helped me out of that snowstorm. I’m really grateful to them” The giant dog-wolf regarded the pair before he continued speaking. “I see… Sorry for my bad manners. My name’s Gaogamon, and I’m this little irresponsible brat’s older brother. We were searching for him, and even offered a reward for anybody that could bring him back… and you have done it out of kindness. I’m deeply thankful to you both” “Who are you calling brat?” the Gaomon retorted “Shut up, Gaomon. You better hurry home before mom has a heart attack. You’re in deep, deep trouble, young mon” the little bipedal dog then paled, and ran to the center of the town as fast as he could “Anyway. You two are welcomed here, and as a token of gratitude we’ll give you the reward we were offering for him. You’re free to stay as long as you wish” “Yay!” Mana cheered “What sshe meanss, Gaogamon-ssan“ interrupted Ayaka before the situation could turn into a more awkward one ”It iss that we are both very thankful to be your guesstss “ And indeed they were both very thankful. They both rested the next couple of days, bought some food and supplies, got acquainted with most of the town, and then with a radiant smile on Mana’s face and a respectful bow of Ayaka’s arachnid features, they left the town in the search of their next destiny.

Title: Lost and Found
Posts or Bits: Bits
UFADO wasn't really a helping digimon. To him, helping was usually not a priority and he just moved on. But occasionally he did find the patience to give out a helping hand. That was one of those times.
UFADO was romaning the tundra when he found the camp. The campfire was still, but it had clearly burnt most of the wood and would go of soon. Given the missing parts of his body, UFADO was finding it hard to adapt yo the cold, so he approached the campfire to get a bit warmer.
Sitting next to it, UFADO took a look at the leather tent being illuminated by the campfire. A metal zipper hold it shut and reflected the light of the campfire.
Suddenly a figure approached. UFADO indentified it as a greymon, but something was wrong. The greymon looked pale and had his teeth beating each other as his body shook violently from one side to other, trying to cover itself with his small arms. The digimon might have been beaten up, as he had bruises all over his body and looked like he could barely stand. Which was quite TRUE and proven by the fact the greymon fell a few feet from the campfire.
"Please...help..." the greymon begged. UFADO looked at the greymon. Maybe he should just put him out of his misery? No. The greymon was likely the one that started the campfire and UFADO sure could use having those around in this cold. So, UFADO walked towards the greymon and looking down at him, started to pull jim towards the fire.
"Th...Thank you, stranger. But..." the greymon told UFADO. "But my son...he's still out there. Can you help him?"
"I'm afraid I am busy at the moment." UFADO answered.
"Please! You have to help me! We...we are merchants, we can trade what you you want, will give it to you, just help me get my son back, please!" the greymon insisted
"Hmm....Anything, eh? Very well, I will assist you. As for the prize we'll discuss it later." UFADO proposed.
"Thank you, thank you..."
"Don't thank me, I'm this is not a favor, it's a deal. Now, who is your son? What's his species?"
"He's a snowagumon, carrying a deal of trinkets."
"Very well. Armor evolution!" UFADO saw as the armor floated out of his body andback in, then having his body chnage into a robotic insect digimon named Searchmon. "Magno Finder!"
A sort of magnetic wave came from his back in every direction, searching for the snowagumon across the digital world. Soon, part of the wave came back, giving him instructions as to where exactly the greymon's son was. Without waiting or saying anything else, UFADO ran towards the given direction in the tundra.
He had to make use of his attack a few more times, trying to make sure he found the snowagumon. Every time, the loactipn given was more accurate and UFADO was clearly getting closer. He then saw a small grey figure on the snow, with an ogremon standing next to him. The jewelry were in the hands of the ogremon, indicating this was a possible robbery. UFADO could clearly see the ogremon's small wounds and burns, which mixed with his heavy breathing and the cold that was installed in the tundra, leading UFADO to the conclusion that the ogremon was tired, cold and likely weakened enougth to be engaged and destroyed without much effort.
"Voltic Meteor!" UFADO shouted
The ogre on was clearly caught by suprise and hit straight by the eletrical sphere. Now it was standing in front of them, UFADO noticed a larger burn in his chest. UFADO returned to his rookie form.
"Major Strike!" he shouted as his claws glew green and treapased the stunned ogremon, destroying him. UFADO then evolved to his armor again and ran back to the camp. There, he found the greymon anxiously waiting for him.
"My son!" he cried out joyfully.
"Wait. First, I want my reward. You better hurry up, cause he's injured and I am tempted to just take his data."
