Another day travelling through this jungle. Crystal, who was riding on Sanoske, sighed as she looked to the sky. She honestly had lost track of how long they've been travelling in this jungle now. It has been more then a week, she was sure. Maybe even two. Regardless though, she had hoped they would have been able to find Pure by now. They were in race against time as she was sure that Vetina was searching for Pure too, and there was honestly no telling what the mutant Palmon might do if he caught him.
She couldn't say all this time in the jungle was all bad though. Despite everything that had happen, she and Sanoske had discovered that they had feelings for one another. Something that she hoped would grow even more the more time they spend together. Yet she had a feeling that Pure, being as protective as he is, may not appreciate their relationship all that much when they finally rescue him.
As the group continued through the jungle, Crystal soon sensed something strange. Almost as if there was something close by calling to her. Yet it wasn't in the same deja vu way she found the camp site. No. This wasn't something she had just forgotten about. This was something that was completely new altogether.
"Hey. Do either of you feel that?" She asked the other two as she grew curious if they had possibly sensed the same thing she had.

As he carried the Lopmon in his back, Sanoske had to marvel at all the things that has happened the past few weeks with Crystal. Reuniting with Crystal and Pure and getting beat up by an obese Guilmon. Pure getting kidnapped and fighting a weird plant digimon with Crystal. Meeting Ghost and officially starting his and Crystal's search of Pure's whereabouts. Getting beat up again by a Gorillamon while protecting Crystal. Reclaiming Crystal's memories.
And then there was professing his feelings for her.
Perhaps he always had feelings for her, ever since the restaurant where she helped him out. But at the time he didn't realize it. Not until he got his Egg of Dreams, which granted him enough mental clarity to even realize he loved her. Despite not trusting his Creator's intent as to why he was given the egg, at the very least it allowed this relationship to happen.
And at least Ghost is here, currently in her Arukenimon form to aid in spotting any long distance items of note with her suoerb eyesight. She had been a bit more hesitant in allowing Sanoske and Crystal on their own after the last fight. That spot he was impaled was still sore, but bearable.
Crystal spoke up, asking if anyone felt anything. Stopping for a bit, the two others answered.
^No, I didn't feel anything, Crystal.^
"Me neither. But, hey, for all we know that means another egg is nearby!"
^What makes you say that?^
"Because almost a week ago you did the same thing."

"Yeah. I was thinking the same thing." Crystal replied as she believed it was likely another egg too. After quickly double checking that her makeshift bag was still okay, she stood up on Sanoske's back to scan the area. Yet she couldn't see anything worth note through all these thick trees.
"Well I guess it would be to much to ask for it to be in plain sight like last time." She said with a sigh. She didn't want to have to take a major detour just to find the egg, but when was she gonna sense something like this again. If they moved on, would they ever be able to find their way back here after they save Pure. She found it highly unlikely.
Though her hesitation, an idea grew in her head on how they could locate the egg. She then took a deep breath as she closed her eyes and focused her mind of the thing she sensed. It took her a few seconds, but she was certain she had a good idea on the general direction on where it was at. Or, at least, she hoped she did.
"I think... I think it's that way." She told the others as she pointed in the direction she believed the egg to be. For Pure's sake, she really hoped they weren't going to end up on a wild goose chase.

Well,Sanoske was convinced, this was indeed another egg, and for Crystal as well. He would be happy for her, but they must find the egg first. But, like Crystal, he wouldn't expect it out in plain sight. But in his case the egg was placed there on purpose.
Where Crystal wants to go, they follow, and once she pinpointed the egg, Ghost gave a nod.
"Thattaway it is! Hey, let me scope out the area and see what I can find."
The Arukenimon quickly skittered up a thick tree, almost dissappearing among the branches and leaves. Above the canopy, she looked to where Crystal felt the egg briefly. She wasn't gone for too long, though, as she returned as quickly as she left.
^See anything?^
"Well, the tops are pretty thick, but I did make out small parts of some sort of structure. Can't really say what it is yet, though. But if the egg is anywhere, it's gonna be there."
Ghost walked off, Sanoske quickening his pace catch up behind her.
^"Well, this shouldn't take too long. I hope.^

Meanwhile...
Jimmy and Shin were making their way through the jungle until something caught Shin's attention. The Falcomon stopped as he took the time to look. Jimmy, on the other hand, continued walking a good few feet before taking notice that Shin had stopped. The teen then turned around to see Falcomon looking at some strange red flowers.
"Hey Shin. Is everything okay over there?" Jimmy asked as he walk back over to Shin, curious why he was so interested in those flowers to be staring at them like that.
"Well that's kind of difficult to really tell." Shin told the teen as he turned and looked over at him, "Jimmy, do you perhaps know what these flowers are?"
"Sorry. I can't say I do." Jimmy replied with a small shake of his head.
"Well that figures. Let me make this short for you. While most plants get there energy from the soil and the sun, these plant derive it from the corrupt data in the air. In fact, they act like a sponge to it, absorbing all that data, in effect cleasing the air around them of it."
"Well I guess that's kind of cool. Though I'm not quite sure why you are having a hard time telling if everything is okay or not."
"Tell me this Jimmy, what do you think would happen if someone were to eat one of these flowers?" Shin asked testingly.
"I would guess that the corrupted data would be absorbed into there bodies. I'm not exactly sure what would happen to a human who would eat them, but I'm guessing it'll have some type of ill effect on the digimon who dares to eat them." Jimmy answered.
"In a way yes, but there is something else more dire about these plants. As I mentioned before, these flowers act like sponges, absorbing quite a lot of corrupted data around them. So much that, when a digimon eats enough of these flowers, it causes them to go under the effects of a Dark Digivolution. A type of digivolution that usually occurs through some type of strong negative emotion that corrupts the data of the body and causes the afflicted to go on a rampage. Eat more flowers, the more powerful you become. Eat to much though, most digimon bodies will be unable to deal with so much corrupted data and end up dying as a result."
"So... Don't eat the flowers then. Okay. No offense, but seeing how neither of us were planning on eating these flowers, I believe my previous question still stands."
Shin sighs, "Well, as you might of guessed, these flowers aren't exactly common in the digital world. They are actually indigenous to this part of the jungle, and there is supposedly a village of digimon who's lives essentially revolves around this plant. A village, mind you, that is known to be very territorial at times."
"Okay. Watch out for there's probably a village of territorial digimon nearby. I wish you just said that earlier." Jimmy stated as he looked, "We should keep moving then. It's probably not a good idea for us to stay in place in any length of time."
Shin nodded in agreement as they began walking again. This time though, paying close attention to their surroundings as to hopefully prevent anyone from ambushing them. While they are most probably safe for now, it's probably best to be safe then sorry.

Crystal watched as Ghost climbed up the tree to get a better look at things. It made her happy to know that her friends were willing to help her find this egg even though it could just lead them into a wild goose chase. Though, considering there pursuit of the being that possessed Pure's body has also been a wild goose chase, they might of just decided that another one wasn't going to hurt them any.
Word soon came down that there is apparently a structure of some kind in the direction that Crystal pointed, and Crystal agreed that if the egg was anywhere, it was somewhere in that structure. Crystal sat back down and use one hand to hold onto her make shift bag while the other instinctively grabbed onto some fur on Sanoske's collar to help prevent her from falling off. As they travelled, Crystal began to take notice of weird patches of red flowers they keep passing by. The flowers seemed pretty familiar to her, but she couldn't exactly recall from where. In any case, the chills that the sight of them sent through her spine was enough to tell her they were bad news. And why she also have the feeling that they were being watched.
Soon they eventually came upon the structure that Ghost had stated to have seen. It was an ancient temple-like structure made from grey stone that was heavily worn down by time and even had overgrowth taking it over. The entrance itself wasn't on ground level, instead it appeared to be on the top of a large flight of stairs. There they would see a large stone door with some kind of inscription written in an ancient language carved onto it. It was also worthy of note of two slids that were on either of the stairs that appeared to just stop around the same place the door is on.
Crystal looked in awe at the site of this. The whole place reminded her of when she and Pure had gotten a job to explore through the ruins in the dessert. How much she love doing that, even if Pure was constantly worried about ever little thing at the time. She was actually pretty sad that Pure wasn't here to witness this. Well, at least she would have a good story to tell him when they rescued him.
"Well there's no point to just gawk at this thing. Let's go check it out." She said in an excited voice as she jumped off of Sanoske's back and ran up the stairs, forgetting her makeshift bag in the process. She then proceeded to try to push the door open, yet despite how hard she pushed, the door wouldn't budge. In fact, despite any of the groups efforts, the door seemed pretty adamant on staying where it was. It looks like strength wasn't going to get them pass this door, but what was?

Ghost figured hat the structure she saw from a distance was some sort of temple, but confirmation was always nice. Sanoske tried to tell Crystal to wait, standing up. But the bag she left had began to roll off his back, and he caught it. Taking a moment to see that it was safe, he looked up, seeing the Lopmon a good way up already, with Ghost following behind.
Uttering a concerned growl, the Gazimon flew up to reunite with the group, with Crystal and Ghost figuring out how to open it. The Arukenimon aided in pushing against the door, but it didn't give or budge an inch. Doubting his strength would help at all, Sanoske was about to push, but a voice called out from behind them.
"Hey, what's a bunch a maggots doing in a run down place like this?"
Turning around, they could see an Ankylomon, standing on two legs, arms crossed, and wearing a spiffy red beret. On his shoulder was a Patamon, looking quite timid.
^What? Maggots?^[\b]
"Yes, superchunk, I called you three maggots! You can't just go barging into ruins like that! It might be booby trapped!"
^... superchunk?^
"Might need to clean your ears out too, son."
Ghost and Sanoske looked at each other, and at Crystal. They didn't seem to be hostile... one was rude, but not hostile.

Crystal was trying to push the door open the best she could until a unfamiliar voice called the group out. She turned to see an Ankylomon and Patamon standing there. Their presence alone just irked Crystal a little as she didn't even hear there arrival. Though that could probably be blamed on the fact that she was to focused on the temple and the egg inside to really notice much of anything else. Besides, they didn't seem hostile (yet) and did have a good point about the ruins being booby trapped.
She shared in the look that Sanoske and Ghost gave before looking back at them. Despite her normally warm and friendly nature, she had already determine that she currently didn't really like these two, or at least the one who was spouting insults at them (who she was guessing was the Ankylomon). It actually took Crystal some willpower to stop her more childish side from shouting insults back at them, especially after they had called Sanoske superchunk. Only she was allowed to call Sanoske names, and even then, not ones so malicious.
Crystal took a deep breath as she looked the over. "We're a group of travelers who's curiosity got the best of them, and decided to investigate these ruins. Now who are you, and why did you two decide to come to this 'run down place' as you call it?" She asked the pair. Right now, they have given her no reason to trust them with the knowledge that she sensed her digimental within the ruin, so she had decided to keep that fact a secret until she could determine who exactly the two of them are.
((I'm going to skip Jimmy for now until I believe to the thread again. Also, I'm going to look at starting the attack during my next post, at least unless you have any problems with that.))

Ghost decided to let the others settle this. Simply because she knew that she could easily take care of them, but didn't want to end up hurting two digimon who are, more or less, innocent.
The Ankylomon made a boisterous laugh, whereas the Patamon remained silent still. "We just saw you three come here, and my pal here was a bit curious as to what you maggots are here for!"
^We would all very much appreciate it if you stopped flinging insults at us.^. Sanoske's tone seemed to have some restraint behind it, but this was grating for the Gazimon. The Ankylomon, however, laughed again. This time, however, the Patamon spoke up. A female, judging by the voice.
"Uh, sorry. Rolento means well. He's just... um..."
"Hey, I can handle myself. Besides, you ma-a-a-a...guy and gals look like a fun bunch. But perhaps ol' Commander Rolento and Private Pata can hang around! You can all be my Privates!"
Ghost snickered, although not for the reason Sanoske thought. In any case, he shook his head.
"Is that so? So perhaps we could work in tandem, at least. Just for fun! I don't mind a bit of explorin'. Anywhowau, who is the commander of your group?"
"Crystal"
^Crystal^

"Me?" Crystal asked as she looked back and forth between her two companions. She was a little shocked to hear that after being asked who the commander of their group, both of them said her name. Sure she was the reason the group they had were together in the first place, but she never saw herself as their commander or leader.
Yet she didn't have much time to think about as she began to hear something moving through the jungle. She moved slightly so she could look down the stairs to see a figure appearing from the jungle. It was a Lopmon, like her, except this one was wearing tribal clothing and tattoos. It had a stern look in it's eye as it looked at the party that had gathered.
"Trespassers. I warn you only once now. Leave this place now, or face the consequences."[/color] He said in a deep voice. As Crystal heard those words, a chill went down her spine, telling her that they should take the Lopmon in front of them seriously. It was almost as if there was something evil and unnatural about him.

Sanoske was a bit surprised at Crystal's confusion. It was, he believed, considered that Crystal was the one who gave the orders and led the group. Ghost and himself were helping her out.
Soon, someone else came, a strange tribal Lopmon appeared, warning them to leave the area. Sanoske had to think about this for a moment... Crystal's egg was probably here, but he didn't want to cause trouble. He was thinking they could just leave.
And then Rolento started talking.
"And who is this little fly on the wall here? Hey, what gives ya the right to boss us around?"
"Th-th-they probably l-live he-" The nervous Patamon's stammering reply seemed to have fallen onto deaf ears.
"And no Tribal maggot is gonna stop us, Rolento and friends, from exploring these ruins!"
^Oh no, please shut up and go away before I shoot you...^ Sanoske whined out.
"Even superchunk agrees you can't stop us!"
Sanoske knew that Rolento was the subject of his threat, twisted around to aid his own boasting. At least, it seemed that way since he used superchunk again. And if Ghost wasn't currently holding back the snarling Gazimon he might have done something drastic,

The lopmon sneered at Rolento's insult, not approving of their choice. Without a word he pulled out a horn and blew into it. A loud sound rang through the forest to be echoed by other horns in the jungle. It was obvious that this lopmon wasn't alone.
"Wait a second. Can't we just talk this out for a second?" Crystal plead in hopes to avoid causing any bloodshed. She was really having a bad vibe about this, and had a strong urge to punch Rolento in the jaw for causing this.
"I'm afraid you've already made your choice clear. Now you will face the consequences." With that, he held something red in his hand, apparently a group red flowers of some kind to those with keen enough eyesight, and quickly ate them while the ground began to shake. There was something - or somethings - big coming there way. It wouldn't take the group long to get an idea what they are in store for as a dark aura surrounded the lopmon and he digivolved into a form that had haunted Crystal's nightmares these past couple weeks.
Looking back at the door as she knew they had a tough decision to make now. Either they could make a hasty retreat now and not risk any further injury on there party. Or they could stand in fight while also trying to figure out how to get into the temple and the digiegg reward inside. She had to admit the latter choice was pretty tempting, but she didn't want to put either Ghost or Sanoske in danger. Especially seeing how Sanoske was still recovering from the injury he suffered during their last battle.
Crystal bit her bottom lip as she looked back at the door behind her. As she did, she took note of something familiar about the cipher engraved on the door. Could it be..?
"Ghost. How long do you think you can hold them off for?" Crystal asked knowing that they would have to make a call soon. The gears in her mind already turning in figuring the secret of the door out.

Perhaps this was just Sanoske's body. Perhaps a real digimon could have had a similar feeling. Sanoske was not too sure nor in a mindset to really dwell on it. All he knew that between his anger towards the Ankylomon and Ghost holding him back, his wounded area began to ache terribly. He kneeled, wincing as he rubbed the puncture wound. Ghost knew he wasn't going to try to attack Role to now.
Speaking of, Rolento and Pata looked around once the horns were blown. Ghost saw from a distance the red flowers the male Lopmon ate, turning him into a hulking bunny beast. But the newcomers saw this up close.
"I-I'm gonna d-d-d-d-...
"No one's dying on my watch! TRAP WIRE!"
Rolento thrusted a hand out and pulled back, seemingly throwing nothing. But the Wendigomon would feel something around his neck... tough, thin, and hard to see wire would now bind him by neck. One end was anchored to a nearby tree, the other now anchored to a piece of the ruin's structure.
"Tactical retreat to higher ground! MINE SWEEPER!"
Taking Pata in, Rolento rolled into a ball and went up to where the group was, all the while leaving a few parting gifts for the tribal Wendigomon in the form of a few grenades. How much damage this did, he didn't know. But as long as he could make his taxtical retreat all was well. With Sanoske injured, Ghost and, unfortunately, Rolento were the best to provide cover. At this time, Crystal asked how long Ghost could hold them off. This means that they would go in the temple.
"Well if I wanted fo kill'em, I'd be done in 30 seconds. But I don't, so all I'll say is if you've found a way to open it up, please do it quickly!"
^I'll stay by Crystal. Be careful.^
Ghost went into her HyldenImpmon form, holding two Smokey spheres in her hands.
"Oh come on, I'm not the one you should worry about."
"Let's do this!!!"
With that, Ghost took point, throwing Fizzy Duzzy Balls at whomever gotten within a certain distance. Non-fatal, but would put the tribe in a daze for some time. Even more so considering how much stronger she was. Rolento acted as back up with Pata in tow, and would toss grenades at any digimon Ghost would miss.

Jimmy and Shin stopped as the pair heard the echos of what they could best describe as warhorns surrounding them.
"Uhh... You don't think that was meant for us, do you?" Asked a very nervous Jimmy.
"I really do hope not." Shin replied.
Soon they began feeling tremors through the ground as if something big was moving nearby. And it didn't take long for them to discovery who exactly was making these tremors as they looked behind them to discover that a SkullGreymon had reared it's ugly head.
"Shoot. You have to be kidding me." Jimmy said as he saw the beast.
"Run you idiot." Shin stated as he took off as fast as his legs could take him.
"Right." Jimmy said as he followed after Shin.
With no time to spirit evolve, Jimmy knew they had no choice, but to run like the wind. Besides, he doubted that any of his forms could hold their own against that beast. This decision seemed to be even a better idea then he first thought as a quick glace behind him showed that the Skullgreymon had, albeit weaker, friends. Friends that Jimmy thought he might be able to handle normally, but not with so many at once, and especially not with Skullgreymon right there.
"Shin. We have more problems." Jimmy informed his Falcomon partner, hoping that he might have a plan.
Shin growled as he took a peek behind him to comfirm for himself what Jimmy had just said. This wasn't good. Quickly gazing around his environment for anything that would be able to get them some hope. Fortunately it didn't take him long to spot something that could prove to be their salvation through the foliage of the trees.
"Jimmy. There's what appears to be some kind of ruins up ahead. We can probably hide out there."
"I hope your right."
With that, the pair made a B-line straight towards the ruins. Yet they would soon discovered that this was probably not a good idea.

Crystal nodded as Ghost stated that she'd be able to hold them off without killing them as long as Crystal works fast. While she wasn't absolutely sure if they were allowed the luxury of not killing them, she knew she had to trust that Ghost knew what she was doing. Yet it seemed Ghost might have a bit more problems then it first appeared as a small army of Wendigomon and Skullgreymon covered in some type of dark aura appeared through the forest. Needless to say, they didn't exactly look happy either.
"Alright. I'll try to do this as quickly as I can Try to focus your fire on those Skullgreymon whenever you can. Rolento try to keep them off the stairs." Crystal told the pair of them before returning her attention back towards the door, "And don't be afraid to say anything if either of you happen to have any problems. Retreating is still a much better option then dying."
Taking a deep breath, she began to work on figuring out what the text engraved on the door means. It was obviously a hint on how to open a door, but what exactly does it say. The symbols themselves looked pretty familiar, yet she couldn't remember what exactly what they say. This is an ancient stone structure though. Could it be that just part of the text has worn off during all the time it has apparently been here? Yet she wasn't tall enough to reach it to tell for sure.
"Sanoske I think I have an idea. Can you give me a lift?" She asked the oversize Gazimon in hopes that she was right about this.
