Exploring the City (Agumaru)

For a while, Agumaru was deeply confused. Why would humans of different skin colors be treated any different? Aren't they all just humans? Then it hits him. "Ohhh.... yeah, we've had... some things like that here... Virus types have been persecuted by certain groups of Digimon, specifically those of the Virus Buster family. I mean, the only differences sometimes are Gabumon and BlackGabumon, Gatomon and BlackGatomon... just the color of their fur. So... I guess our worlds have big differences but also some parallels..."
The plan to explore for an hour... Agumaru wasn't too sure about it. However, he's willing to give it a try. "I can go without eating for a while I suppose! So just wander until we find something cool?"
"I haven't heard of Platymon either until I became one. It is a furry duck-beaked, duck-footed, beaver-tailed, snake-fang-leg-barbed, armored... Platymon. What about you? What's your Crest and form?"

"So not even Digimon can escape the plague that is discrimination..." Adrian says. "That's kind of sad. Luckily I don't see much of that in Shibuya. Anyways, we can probably go around the city and see the sights, then we can get some food in either one of the restaurants here or Terminus Mall. You'll have to lead, Agumaru, because I still don't know my way around here."
"I wish I had your enthusiasm, Agumaru," Shoutmon says. "I'd be surprised if I didn't die after an hour without eating!"
"You ate breakfast two hours ago, Shoutmon," Adrian says, crossing his arms. "You can go for one hour without eating something because I've seen you do it before... freaking bottomless pit."
"I have a fast metabolism! I need more food than other Digimon," Shoutmon explains. "...fine, I'll keep my big mouth shut."
"Thank you," Adrian says. Then Agumaru asked Adrian what Shoutmon's armor form was. He really didn't have an answer. "Well... this hasn't exactly been activated yet... so I don't know what Shoutmon's armor form is. Sorry."

"Oh, I think discrimination is starting to die down," Agumaru says in an attempted reassurance. "Lots less 'killing because different' going around at least. Things have improved a bit!" While this was true, he doesn't seem so reassured himself. "Anyways... yeah, I can try to guide you a bit, though to be honest, it has been a little while so bear with me."
The complaining from Shoutmon didn't seem to phase Agumaru. He just pats him on the shoulder. "Just think of it as endurance training," he suggests energetically, "you're sure to get stronger this way! And you'll be able to eat even more afterwards! It's a win-win!"
Agumaru pauses when it is revealed Shoutmon has yet to unlock the power of his Digimental, his face becoming a blank mask. "You...haven't figured it out yet? That's.... great~!" He bursts into a wide excited grin. "Do you know what that means?"

"Well, I'm glad that there's a lot less of the killing thing going around," Adrian says. "If it wasn't, this place would be almost like a scene out of a post-apocalyptic movie, and basically be like the rest of the Digital World. And I'm sure you know your way around here better than me and Shoutmon, anyways." He did catch a hint of uncertainty in Agumaru's voice, however...
"If you say so, I guess..." Shoutmon says after Agumaru tries to cheer him up a bit. "But it's just so hard, you know? I'm a Digimon, I like to eat! And right now I really am hungry..." His stomach rumbled again.
Adrian and Shoutmon were confused when Agumaru said that it was great that the two hadn't figured out how the Digimental worked yet. "Uh... no. What does that mean?" Adrian asked.

"Come on, Shoutmon, I'm hungry too but we're fighters! Nothing can stop us! Not hunger, not a rampaging Rhinomon, nothing! Keep it together like I know you can!"
Agumaru has gone full 'motivational speech mode' and putting his heart into it. The passion was obvious, he believed in their strengths! Perhaps if he was loud and willful enough, he'd overpower the rumbling in their stomachs!
It seemed that Adrian and Shoutmon did not understand his enthusiasm for them not unlocking their Digitama. Well then, it was time to tell them. "It means you have an awesome journey of self-discovery ahead of you, and I can help! My Digitama had the Crest of Determination on it apparently, as it responded to my overflowing determination. They seem to be unlocked by a trait of the user, some kind of mental, emotional strength and quality or attribute like that. Mine came naturally, it was a trait I have naturally. It will probably be the same for you. But... it might not be. It might be you need to learn some kind of lesson before you unlock its power. Can I see the Digitama? The symbol might give a clue."

As absolutely hungry as Shoutmon was, he knew Agumaru was right. The two of them could power through a whole hour without eating, no problem! "Alright, I'm with ya, Agumaru! When that hour is up, we'll eat like KINGS!"
Ignoring all the motivational hunger talk, Adrian then hears Agumaru ask for his Digimental. "Heh, sure," Adrian chuckles as he grabs it from his pack and puts it on the ground. "There you go, try picking it up."
What Agumaru didn't know was that the Digimentals can't be held by just anyone, so if he tried picking it up, it just wouldn't budge.

"Haha, the restaurant won't know what hit it!" The excitement really got to Agumaru. They were sure to clean the place out when it was time to eat! Their only limit is their money, and surely that was no big deal, right? But... "Maybe an all-you-can-eat buffet, but then there wouldn't be a buffet left after we're done!"
Adrian humors Agumaru and places the Digimental down. The Lego dino tries to lift it, but it was surprisingly heavy. "Nyygh... hold on I got this," he grunts, putting more strength into it. "Ghrr... come on...... wait." He stops trying to lift it, scratching his head. "Why was I trying to pick it up? The symbol wouldn't be on the bottom!" He circles the armor egg while examining it closely. "Hm... this could be.... no.... maybe it means... probably not... what if..."

"Yeah, no food will be left standing after we're done," Shoutmon cheered. But then the realization hit him. "An hour is a long time away... we better make sure we don't pass out or anything."
"Maaaaybe we should do this later," Adrian says, picking up the Digimental like it was nothing, probably amazing Agumaru with that act at the same time. "Come on, enough talk, let's go explore Terminus City. Where shall we go first, guys?"
"Hmmm..." Shoutmon hummed, trying to think of an idea. "Maybe we could go to a park, or even a music store! ESPECIALLY a music store!"
"Alright, so a park and a music store is on the list. Any ideas of your own, Agumaru?"

After all that hard work failing to budge the Digimental, Adrian lifts it like it was nothing? Agumaru stares confusedly for a moment or two, before he is suddenly able to figure it out. "Wow, that's amazing! These must be some kind of weird destiny eggs! I mean... how do we find ones that only we can pick up? What are the odds?" It seems Agumaru understands the gist of them, but not the deeper 'hows' and 'whys' of them.
Agumaru ponders where he could show these two that would be interesting. "Hm... I.... um..." Most of the places he knew where they were are either unexciting or places that he would rather avoid. "No....no... oh! The junk shop!" Inspiration strikes him, lighting up his eyes. "That would be perfect! It is one of my favorite places to shop, we should check it out if we have time after the park and music store!"

Adrian laughs at Agumaru's reaction to him picking up the Digimental. "Yeah, Digimentals can only be picked up by the true owners of them. If anyone else tries to pick them up, you'd literally have better luck trying to lift a building up."
"Not to mention we nearly died from trying to get these things," Shoutmon adds. "Not only was the leader of our expedition group incredibly clumsy, but we ended up getting attacked by a Sagomon! Shot me right out of the air, out of nowhere."
"Luckily we got out of that one..." Adrian says. Agumaru mentions the junk shop, a place that Adrian has never been to before. "A junk shop? Hm... that could be interesting. Why don't you lead the way then?"

"Really? A Sagomon? Sounds like some nasty business." Agumon listens intently, gesturing them to continue. Afterwards, he tells his own story. "Well.. I didn't fight anything as big and bad as that, though I was alone instead of with a group. I was training in the sunken ruins of Elysium, learning how to swim, climbing and jumping from the tops of the buildings sticking out, when I found the Digitama. I was then attacked by a feral - or grumpy and untalkative - Gesomon when I could barely swim. After.... after it took something important from me, I was able to use the egg to turn into Platymon, and fought it enough to consider me not worth attacking."
Agumaru then nods and waves his right arm in a signal to follow him. "Junk shop it is! I mean... it is called a junk shop but.. a lot of the stuff there isn't really literal junk. They have some good things there! It is mostly 'found' stuff, from junk yards or corrupted data that was able to be defragmented, stuff like that. It is pretty cool!"

"Yikes, who knew finding Digimentals could be so dangerous, huh?" Adrian says. "Anyways, let's get going to that shop!"
Adrian and Shoutmon follow Agumaru around the city as he led the way to this junk shop. Shoutmon was unusually quiet the whole way, mainly due to being super hungry, although he didn't complain about it even once. He did want to see what this junk shop had to offer, as well as heading over to that music store later.
"So Agumaru, what kind of things do you usually find at this thrift store?" Adrian asks. "A thrift store is a nicer name for the place than a junk shop, don't you think?"

On the way to the junk shop, Agumaru asks Adrian and Shoutmon about what happened during their armor hunt. He also dodges a few Digimon not looking where they're going, and ignoring insults from them that he's heard a million times. "Yeah, Armors seem to be protected, whether intentionally or unintentionally. And it seems the only ones to find them are the ones who get to use them. Or maybe the only ones that get to use them are the ones that find them? I have no clue."
Agumaru then gets asked about the junk shop. "They have all kinds of stuff there! Unusual antiques, strange gadgets, rare trading cards, stuff from the human world that was broken but the owner fixed... you name it! To be honest, I'm not sure why he stuck with such a negative name as the 'junk shop' though. But... none of the stuff is donated, it is all stuff he found himself. Maybe it should be called a 'treasure shop' then? Anyways, not too much farther!"

"We traveled through the Backup Bayou with these three Digimon, Owen the Gaomon, Rex the Guilmon, and Roy the Veemon. Trust me, Owen was the most clumsy Digimon we had ever met."
"Yeah, the very first step he took, he ended up slipping and falling right into the Bayou! Not only that but he started talking to a stump. Later, he had his tail pinched by a Crabmon too!"
"He did have his moments though, like fixing that bridge for us to get across, and saving everyone from that Sagomon. You know, he was the one that saved you from drowning like that."
"Yeah, I know... Are we there yet, Agumaru?"

"I know about being clumsy, I took a long time training to not be." Not being as flexible as some Digimon had probably been a big part in this. "But... you almost drowned? Heh, me too! What a coincidence! Maybe... maybe your armor form will be water elemental or have something to do with water or swamps? Mine allowed me to swim very well."
Finally, they approach a building. Old brick, tin roof, oaken door, and no windows - the junk shop wasn't much of a 'city' building. " Yep, we're here! The Good ol' junk shop! After you!" He holds the door open, and if Adrian or shoutmon were to peer inside... They would see rows and rows of tables, just barely illuminated enough by candles on the walls. They were covered in all kinds of items, from the mundane and average to the rare and obscure. They range in quality from fair to pristine, though obvious that all of them were used, and a lot of them were repaired by hand. At the back is a counter, a glass display case built into it showing the most expensive and rare items inside. Behind the desk was a sleeping figure with a black feather robe and a purple bird mask and armor. If they were to approach them, they would see that this was no robe - he has his black wings wrapped around him to keep himself warm.
