The Crucible: Part 1 [Mission] [Akemi|E&E|Kath|Sasha]

Isabella was really happy that the twin humans seemed to be friendly, she gave both of them a wide smile. "Something tells me that we will get along well!" The floating fairy said in a cheerful tone, she enjoyed meeting nd befriending strangers that peak her interests, and the twins defintly had her interest. But sadly this was a team mission, there was not enough time to chit chat with Evie and Elise but she will definitely make some time after the mission for the two of them. But it was time to deal with Amy's message, Bella was annoyed that Amy is not here to help but eh she is not gonna be lastingly mad at her. After gaining the context of the message from Souji and she immediately raises her hand. "Okay if you paid some attention I said I am good at stealth like 5 minutes ago, so I will go alone since I am the best one here. Unless we have Anzu go do- pfffttt haha. " Bella laughed at proposition. "I am sorry I had to make that Joke, don't take that wrong way Anzu. You know I think of you as a friend, but stealth can't be your thing dear~" Bella said as she gave Anzu a playful wink.
Isabella then headed towards the location of the device, once there she finds it and is...very dissapointed. It's rather ugly and plain. Ugh she will give Amy an earful later but she will do what she has to do now, but she was still mad. If she had her way it would have been either a necklace or a cute ring but nooooo Amy had to have bad taste, after this she will help her be better about it. "Ok I am ready to do this guys, stay safe everyone. I won't be happy if you guys fail and make me look bad." She said with a jocular tone, as she wanted to relieve the team from the tension.
Souji on the other was...not doing so well, Sasha's word immediately made him really nervous. It was something about her that struck him as bold and confident, and while he admired such traits (it's why he like Jotaro although he sees Josuke is the best Jojo) he also finds it hard to interact with at least for him. "Y-yeah of course. I mean it would be weird if we instantly became friends, like that'd be weird and un natural. It's not like after this mission we can go drink coffee or have breakfast food like people in a tv show, cause that'd be weird." Souji then stopped for a second one look at his face and you could tell that he is nervous, but he was determined to make this work. "Th-that made sense right ? " well he tried, its not like anyone thought he'd be able to handle having normal conversations with intimidating people like Sasha, if only she was easy to talk to like Katherine.
After the great conversation everybody got off the plane and headed towards a Duskmon, who has one big grouchy guy. Souji avoided eye contact, like he was that one weird guy in the neighbourhood who for some reason always walk up to you. He then overheard Kath whisper something to Akemi, he did not know what it was but it was safe to assume it was something along the lines of be careful, frankly he thought someone needs to tell that to Anzu not Akemi but ah well. He stuck close to Sasha and leaned to her whispering this to her. "Hey let's keep a look at the place, having a head count will help us." Yes Souji is a shy introvert, but he has some sense of duty and competence.
Isabella used her device and changed her size to a size slightly larger than the average fly, and sneaked her way in. Once she is in she began to look around for options in locations of interests, hopefully she can find important locations.

Much to Sasha's surprise, as the Blimpmon began to approach their destination, it seemed Amy wanted to ask them a favor!
Unfortunately for Sasha though, it seemed like the favor required a very specific type of expertice to be pulled off. Stealth. She hated stealth. And so did Siegfried.
Sasha shrugged. "Eh, I'd offer myself to go but a bulky suit of armor is not exactly the best fit for stealth." Well...that and it was probably going to be a less fun time. The choice was an easy one, as it turned out Souji's...partner? Friend? Accomplice? Isabella was apparently made for stealth. Made sense, someone that small could hide herself with more ease than anyone else on the ship. Nobody else seemed to have any interest in taking that spot regardless, so it was settled.
"Try to not get fly swatted to death, Bella." She said, giving the fairy a thumbs up accompanied with a somewhat sardonic smirk. Did she trust her to be able to pull this off? Somewhat, but she was really their best bet in the end. Never hurt to give some encouragement, even if it felt slightly insincere.
She turned back to Souji, who was surprisingly not discouraged by her earlier response and seemed to actually try his luck with this friends' bussiness. At least, that was the feeling she was getting from his unelegant stuttering. So of course she'd double down and try to make him feel even more awkward. This was a long flight already, and they were going to be working hard soon, might as well have some fun now, right? "Heh, not at all, I've gotten invited for a drink for less than that." She teased, giving the boy a wink. "If we survive, I'll buy you a diet soda or...something."
Was it too mean of her to try to have fun like this? ...nah, he wasn't a kid, he could handle it like a man, right?
As they descended from the living airship, she was met with the impressive sight of a massive portcullis, far bigger than the Duskmon that came from it. Guess this was their welcome committee?
The Duskmon's rather blunt and straight foward "greeting" was bad enough to make her immediatelly dislike the armored digimon. Despite this, she held off her sudden urge to give him a (very foul and swear heavy) piece of her mind, opting for glaring daggers at him as subtly as she could while she followed after the group. If they wanted negotiations to succeed, she would have to swallow her pride for a bit and let the others do the talking.
Didn't mean she was going to put on a nice face during it though, unless absolutely needed.
"Right. Just don't stare at anyone for too long." She whispered back to Souji, "They might take offense to that or something..."

Whether he was greeted or not, Duskmon would turn his back to the group as soon as they had more or less gathered around him. "Don't fall behind."
It wouldn't be a lengthy journey, for sure! The digimon got back into the Stronghold, unveiling crude, yet efficient architecture and masonry. By the borders of the city, not much could be seen beside a good deal of difference, yet humble households and some of the settlement's inhabitants going through their daily lives. One defining feature most of them had is that none dared to look at the group's direction; were they just ignoring them... or something else?
What would catch everyone's attention, however, was the giant pit-shaped arena that just... stood there, breaking any kind of harmony in the city's otherwise plain layout.
"This will be an easy affair." Duskmon spat once again. His tone wasn't getting any nicer for sure. "You group chooses a diplomat. The Diplomat negotiates with me while everyone else fights in the pits. If one side is winning, the other side's diplomat is forced to be more accepting of any terms proposed to them. If one side manages to win, before time runs out, they can make a request the other side will have to heed."
Just then, the vague shape of an hourglass would stand out at the top of the pits. Would that be used to measure the time the 'negotiations' would last? That was at anybody's guess. One thing was for sure, though. The digimon was getting impatient.
"Don't make me wait. Pick your side's diplomat and get into the pits already. I have other matters to attend to."
Not much else to say or do. Time for the negotiations to begin! Bella didn't have a lot of time to get into the city; in fact, if she rushed on donning the cloaking the device and then at the portcullis, she'd barely have enough time to get in before the opening closed rather violently.
When facing the previously-described city, she could probably stay and hear about what the 'negotiations' would be about, but the wristband that had shrunk in conjunction with her would show a small message on it.
Border the city until you see a big statue, then head to its center.
Seemed to be simple enough, even if a little cryptic. What would be the result of this small journey? No way to tell.

Jazz hadn't...turned back to normal thanks to frustration? And this form was notably jumpy and less calm compared to Lopmon...Akemi kind of felt for Kath. That couldn't be easy. Anzu, meanwhile, just...blinked in confusion. She had a stealthy form. It just wasn't her -strongest- form...She gave a nod towards Bella. "Best of luck. I'll try not to screw up if these guys won't." Anzu stated, a little smirk forming on her face.
"I'll keep my eyes peeled if you will." Akemi gave a short response to Katherine before she followed Duskmon, making sure to get a look around the place as they proceeded through. She seemed to be looking for something that Katherine might also be looking for...
This wasn't a very lengthy journey, indeed. Akemi followed Duskmon in, assuming the others were with her, and listened to the conditions. One negotiates while the others fight? Of course, upon the word fight being mentioned, Anzu made a "Hmmmm..." and decided to make her decision. "I'm far better with fighting than negotiations, so I'll happily go to the pits."

Sticking together was the best option now, especially now that Isabella had been selected for this stealthy mission away from the crew. Katherine just scoffed at the fairy’s statement, to then throw a smirk back at her. “Good luck. I hope you don’t need it.”
The green-eyed and Jazz entered the stronghold, following Duskmon along the rest of the team. A lot of digimon going back and forth could be seen. “Any Ballistamon?” Katherine muttered. Jazz was the one who knew how one of those looked like. “Not at all.” Welp, they couldn’t possibly expect it could be that easy, right?
This feeling was increased by the sight of a giant pit, just standing there, in the midst of town. Then, the revelation came. Considering the information Amelie had provided, it was kind of expected to see this type of behavior coming from Tayichi’tai.
First impressions were not always the way to go, but if Katherine had to think about someone with negotiating skills based on the few minutes she had known some of the members of this squad… Her eyes went straight towards the more introspective out of the two sisters: Evie. She seemed like a calm, thoughtful person, who could deal well with this type of situation. Judging by Anzu’s words, Akemi and her Tsukaimon seemed to be heading for the pit. “Listen, Evie, I think…” Nope, Jazz’s yelling wouldn’t let her finish that sentence.
“Anzu! I’ll race you to the bottom!” The pig girl was now pointing at her yellow-eyed friend. Yes, again with the pointing. “I am so ready to do this!” The word ‘fight’ had fired up something inside of the Chohakkaimon. She then turned at Sasha, a wide grin on her face. “You! You’re fighting by my side! Let's see what you can do!” Without saying anything else, she picked up the blonde, letting her body rest up against her right shoulder. “W-Wait…!” Katherine tried to say something but nope, no stopping this crazy hog.
“You too, Petermon-boy!” In a swift movement, Jazz would snatch Souji and put him under her left arm. The pig girl was sturdy enough to carry both of these humans without much trouble. “J-Jazz! Put them down!” Katherine yelled. Saying the teenager was a bit flustered by the whole scene developing was not saying enough.
“Jasso! LET’S… GO!!!” While she said this, the digimon ran towards the pit, only to jump in the last word. She would fall down the pit, holding both Sasha and Souji tightly. “You probably should evolve soonish! We’re about to get this party started!” The pig girl said, as she kept falling, laughing loudly. She would probably take all the impact of this fall, but it couldn't hurt for them to evolve, just... to be sure.
“Uhmm…” Awkward. Katherine turned at Elsie and Evie, still blushing a bit. “Yes! Of course!” Maybe it was too late, but if she could, she was going to make Duskmon think this was completely planned. She didn’t want the demon to think Evie was a designated Diplomat just because she was the only one left. So, she would put up a little act to make this decision seem completely well outlined. “Here I go!” Good thing she put on shoes before leaving Whitewater. “Akemi… do you think Anzu can get us down?” A brief silence ensued. “As you can see… my partner jumped already.”

Post by Elsie and Evie on Nov 18, 2018 0:03:33 GMT
After Bella had slipped off as their stealth unit, it looked like everyone else had picked someone else to enter the gates alongside. The twins kept to their own pair, of course. They also began to feel like they were the only ones that weren't keeping their eyes peeled for something! Of course, whether it was for a person or for a better feel of the area, the twins couldn't tell. And, could barely tell if some of the others were actually doing anything other than just being normal.
Elsie kept her head forward, though. And Evie? She was mostly just watching Elsie. And a certain pig Digimon, from time to time! On occasion, green eyes would flicker across their group, to take in what each individual was doing.
But, now the Duskmon was explaining their negotiation protocol, and the prim-and-proper twin began to look over the team for options. Except, the options were rapidly disappearing into the pit! She had turned her focus to Katherine, initially, after hearing her name. But, with the tamer's partner acting... well, the only way Evie really knew Jazz to act, it seemed that there wouldn't be too much of a discussion!
It didn't help any when Elsie began laughing. The girl tried to cover her face with one of her hands, but there was absolutely no chance to muffle the sound. "Pff- oh my -- oh my god," the red-eyed twin managed to wheeze. "That's -- hilarious!" Willing or not, half their team had just been dragged away! Trying to wipe away tears from her eyes, the girl could only keep shaking her head. "I wish I didn't want to punch her, because I totally want to like her for this!"
"That's," Evie paused, as Elsie tried to control her laughter, "pleasant." Still, her sibling was chuckling at the sight. Who would have thought that this would be how things were going to go? Elsie's hand moved to pat Evie on the shoulder, a grin plastered on her face.
"I know this means doin' different things," the girl started, feeling a bit of anxiety welling up in her chest. "But you know I suck at negotiations." Even in video games! Elsie almost always failed! And making their team fail a negotiation was not a way to prove her worth to anyone. "Also, I need to get a higher kill-score than the pig," she stated, bluntly.
This warranted the green eyed twin to quickly inform her sister, "perhaps, you shouldn't use the term kill in regards to a group we would like to be on good terms with?"
Oh. Right. "Knock-out score? Whatever. I'm going to show her up. That's the point." Then, red eyes shifted to Katherine, who had been left behind by the same Digimon that Elsie was talking about. "Nothin' against you, of course," she felt the need to point out, "you didn't just run off with part of the team."
They had to face it, nothing Katherine could say would save face with Duskmon after the way her partner had acted. And, if it did? This was going to be an easier negotiation than anyone expected!
To emphasize her decision, a red light warped around the blonde, soon cloaking her, and dissipating to reveal Matadormon. With Katherine waiting on Akemi and Anzu to be able to make her own descent, the spirit user hummed from under her mask, "Wish I could help get you down there, but," she wiggled the rapiers that poked out from her sleeves, figuring it was enough implication that it wasn't really safe for her to try to carry anyone into the pit. "I'll go with you guys, though." After all, it seemed more reckless than Elsie's usual to jump into the pit by herself! Even if several of their comrades were already in there! So, she'd just go along once Anzu was moving!
And, that meant...
Evie blinked a few times, taking in everything that had happened within the past few minutes. What kind of team had she gotten herself into?
Despite a sparkle coming from her d-tector when her sibling evolved, the green-eyed twin remained looking human as ever. A small smile fell onto her lips, as she looked to Duskmon. Unless someone had managed to pull themselves free from Jazz at the last second, the twin would answer Duskmon with, "it does seem that there are no qualms with me being the diplomat, then." After all, just about everyone else was dragged off! "And time is precious," she started, to empathize with Duskmon's rushed nature, "so, should we begin?"

Souji was mostly intimidated by the duskmon, so he just twiddle his thumbs looking nervous as he just scouted the area in silence. His teammates seemed confident enough so the boy did not see any particular reason to intervene in thr discussions, until the Duskmon reminded Souji that they are indeed in the dark area, since they will have an important political debate over a fighting pit. Needless to say Souji was confused, he did not see any need for this to happen. But he remembered Isabella's word which in summary is that digimon in the dark area are mostly stupid or value stupid things like strength, she hated those who value their worth with how strong they are. It was one of the reasons Isabella wanted to help Amy in her mission to create a city that has no violence, a place Bella herself can sit back and enjoy life there. But to get there, Souji and Isabella need to help Amy with situation similar to this more often.
"Alright, lets see who should stay behind." Souji said as he placed his hand on his chin, he was deep in thought as he wanted to strategically pick their best negotiator while not losing their strongest fighter, following this logic Anzu had to go since she is pretty strong. But what about the rest ? Is Jazz stronger than them ? Or not, the question was tough but they needed to come up with a solution as soon as possible. But no, Jazz had another plan on her head. It was called do it, she then picked up the boy as he was confused. "Wait Jazz, what are you doing ? Please reconsider your plan here, its not worth it trust me. Jasso can you do something ?" The boy turned back to the curly haired girl the look on his face was a bit distraught, sadly he witnessed as Jazz ignored her tamer and got ready to jump.
"JAZZ NO"
(JAZZ YES!)
mid Jump Souji took out his digivice and immediately evolved himself, by the time they landed Souji already changed from a human boy to a Wizardmon. The Wizardmon then got off Jazz's hold and began to dust himself off "Its Wizardmon now, and you are really crazy. I like that, we can probably deal with them real quick but I will rely on your physical prowess while I use my ranged attacks to help you guys." It was clear that this was not Souji at this moment, but rather his spirit doing the talking. The spirit then spun his stick with a big smile on his face, he was ready for combat.
Isabella was floating in the air, she was unsure what held more priority so she scouted the location with her eyes. Luckily she would receive some info in her bracelet that would help her, even if its a little cryptic. She then began to border the city till she found a giant statue that she assumed was the one mentioned in her bracelet, she then headed towards it.

The group followed close after the Duskmon, Sasha meanwhile taking notice of the rather crude and simplistic (if efficient) look of the buildings and architecture inside of the fortress. Was she expecting something fancier from these warmongering demons? Not really, but she still felt a bit underwhelmed by her surroundings. Clearly they didn't use whatever pillaged goods they got from the other settlemts to make the place look nicer.
They soon reached their destination...a pit like arena. Sasha's look of confusion didn't last for long as it became clear just how negotiations would play out. Huh. Well that was...an interesting approach to things, for sure.
Well, there was one thing for certain: she wasn't going to be acting as diplomat. And as expected, neither was Jazz, who was quick to let her know that she wanted to fight along side her. She was perfectly fine with that of course...what she wasn't so keen on however was finding herself unceremoniously lifted by the Cho Hakkaimon. Her ensuing outraged complains were only matched by the sheer irritation in her tone.
"Hey! What gives?! Put us down, porkchop, don't you dare-" But there was nothing she could do to stop her, as Jazz was already jumping over the edge with both Sasha and Souji in tow.
While the girl really wasn't all too keen with the digimon's over eagerness to fight (or her own lack of saying in the matter), she couldn't help but respect her rather...direct approach to this. Not a single second wasted discussing things, just quick and efficient results. Surely, this would give the demonic brutes around here a good first impression of their group. That or it would make the team look ridiculous from the get go, either or. Regardless, she heeded the pig's warnings and promptly reached for her digivice, and as the light of digivolution took over her, she'd find herself separating from the pig girl just a moment before landing, the words of her spirit echoing once in her mind before going silent.
"Be careful, Sasha." "Aren't I always?"
Soon a large body would land loudly on the arena. Gone was the petite russian blonde, now replaced by the large and muscular form of Musyamon. Siegfried had joked how masculine that evolution was compared to Sasha, but frankly she didn't notice all that much. The novelty and rush of actually being tall for once never got old to her. She slowly made her way next to Jazz, dragging a rather large looking sword along the ground behind her, making a loud scraping sound. "I like your style Jazz. Lift me like that again and I'll gut you, though." She chuckled with a smirk, standing on guard to the left of the digimon and a good deal ahead of Souji, sword raised at the ready.
"Ya'll coming or not?! Don't let us have all the fun to ourselves!" She yelled at the rest of the team that had yet to arrive, before turning back to face whatever would be thrown their way.
"Come on ya freaks! Give us the best you got!" The girl turned digimon proclaimed happily with her voice deeper and distorted thanks to her new form, all the while loudly beating her chest with one hand, clearly as eager as Jazz to get the fight started. Was it herself that wanted to fight so badly, or was it the spirit's influence? She wasn't all too sure, but she didn't care.

Once the initial instructions given by Bella were heeded, the Tinkermon would find herself traversing a city that was almost uncannily homogeneous; small buildings, all of them built in the same manner, populated Tayichi'tai's borders. Uniformly featureless, she was able to advance until a massive statue could be seen.
A giant, jet-black Tactimon, at least if she recognized the species. The monument was nothing short of imposing, managing to stand out at a very long distance. As far as it was, a certain level of detail could be appreciated, in addition to a critical fact.
Near the place, it seemed like the Stronghold was finally beginning to show its true colors; a multitude of Dobermons with rather menacing expressions were patrolling the perimeter, as if ready to pounce at a moment's notice. Most of them were growling at the passerbys, in a 'mind your business' way. Was there something afoot? If anything, Bella would have to be very careful when going forward, especially since... the path near the statue bifurcated into two pretty much identical paths.
Which direction to take? Left or right? For now, the communicator remained silent; the Tinkermon was on her own. On the other side, Duskmon observed with a measure of disinterest how every fighter began descending into the pits; a Cho-Hakkaimon, a Matadormon, a Musyamon, a Wizardmon, and Anzu's evolved form, as soon as she took it.
"It looks like your rabble is ready." He spat to Evie, his gaze boring into her eyes as he sat at the grandstand, not intending to miss the spectacle.
From the opposite of the arena, a massive set of double doors opened; from behind, a gigantic set of feet stomped forward. Whatever was coming out was nothing short of gigantic.
"I'll make the first offer." The digimon spat as the creature's visage became apparent. At fair deal bigger than a normal member of its species, a Brachimon with its usual color pattern inverted finally exit its side of the pits. "If your paltry settlement crushes the mongrels of Kara-nam, I'll offer you a temporary truce; three months at most."
Lest to say, that offer was probably edging just a little bit on the unreasonable side. What would the blonde do about it?
Back on the arena, as soon as the entirety of Brachimon's body exited the doors and those closed behind him, the sound of a horn being tooted signaled the beginning of the fight. Once again, a gigantic foot stomped against the ground, creating a fissure that began to split the ground and cause tremors in the combatants' direction. Seeing the attack coming wasn't hard, but... what would they do about it?

As everyone else managed to make their way in, Akemi looked to Kath. "...Yeah, that's kind of our only way down at this point. Anzu, if you would?" The girl nodded as Anzu seemed to dissipate into a cloud of smoke that only grew in volume. It engulfed Akemi and soon went to engulf Kath, too. It wasn't bad to inhale. It was...It wasn't anything. Taking note of Elsie's request, it went to snatch her up too.
It was simply there, quickly shaping itself into two chairs for the two girls, and the spirit wielder turned knife-wielding monster, as it picked them (And Matadormon, too!) up and trailed down into the pit before setting them on the ground and moving next to the other combatants. The smoke pooled into a shape as a Mephistomon took the field. "Jazz, I greatly appreciate your friendship as well as your eagerness, but I would also appreciate waiting for the entire party to get down here." Her response to the attack launched by the Brachiomon was to take off. She had wings. She could use them. "...I'm going to take joy in crushing your pitiful champions." Anzu hissed.
As her counter was simply just flying, it was time for the attack. "Southern Cross." With a simple point of the fingers, a circle could be seen etching itself in the ground below the Brachimon, before a pillar of flame erupted upwards, threatening to scorch the dino.
Anzu opens up by flying up to avoid the tremors before using:
Southern Cross: Anzu marks an area around her opponent. A circle, specifically. A pillar of black flames erupts upwards from this circle, threatening to engulf her foe in flames that seem to burn at their very soul/core, leaving their defenses lowered for two turns. Three turn cooldown.
Cooldowns: Southern Cross: 0/3

Post by Katherine Jasso on Nov 27, 2018 21:09:34 GMT
Right after hearing Elsie addressing her, Katherine simply shook her head. “That’s okay, I understand. Just, please…” Green met red, as they crossed gazes. “Don’t let that interfere with the development of our mission. I’m sure you can compete while you remain focused on beating the rivals.” She added, with a tone of voice that sounded nothing like an order, but more like she was asking for a favor.
Never a layout for an incoming battle had changed as much as it had with the recent turn of events, and it was just in a matter of seconds! Upon seeing the mist that Anzu had turned into engulfing her, Katherine shook her head. There was something huge going out of a door down there! Nope, she was not going down. “No, no! I’m fine. I'm sorry!” She uttered, realizing asking for that was a bad idea. It would only hold Jazz back while she tried to protect her tamer. If (hopefully) Akemi could order Anzu to leave her up there, the girl would stay at the top of the pit, taking a safe distance from the negotiations. It was a bad idea for her to be too close, since there was only supposed to be one Diplomat, after all. They didn't want Duskmon to get angry right now. She took her digivice out to communicate with Jazz. It was time to use that upgrade they had gotten from Reviewmon back in Whitewater. “Jazz. Can you hear me?” She muttered into the object.
“Jasso? Where are you?” The pig girl asked, her eyes going for a second to Anzu’s chairs of mist, who were putting both Akemi and a Matadormon into the pit. “You should see this! Everyone turned into a digimon! It’s amazing! Even Petermon-boy reached another form!”
“I’m not going in there, it’s a bad idea. I’ll try to help you from up here.” The girl stated, her eyes quickly moving around the stage. “Be careful!”
Their little chat was done for now, and there were some people addressing Jazz. And that was fine, after all, it wasn’t like she didn’t deserve it. The pig-girl threw a brief smirk at the Musyamon, Sasha's evolved form. “Well, we first need to survive this combat, don’t we?” She hissed, her eyes now shifting into Souji’s evolved form. Did this guy have a different attitude than his Petermon form? He looked a lot like that innkeeper in Rococo Village they once met. “I like that plan. I think our swordswoman also needs to go physical, so it would help if you can cover us.” Maybe it could get a little obvious the hog was trying her best to hide she was extremely excited to be fighting alongside three spirit wielders.
Finally, she turned to Anzu, who also had something to say. Her Mephistomon form was not something new at all for Jazz, but it wasn’t less amazing. The green-haired scoffed before throwing a reply. “Anzu, I greatly appreciate your friendship but I would also appreciate if you showed a bit more of eagerness.” She winked at the demon, before finally shifting her gaze to the giant monster entering the arena.
As soon as the ground began shaking after the Brachimon's stomping, Jazz knew she had to move, and fast. But first, she would form a triangle with both hands, shooting a quick pink-colored beam at the dinosaur, before getting ready to jump, trying to avoid getting sucked in by the fissures that this earthquake could produce. She knew it was likely the cracking of the ground would get them split around the stage, but she couldn’t actually tell it was not the best idea for them to get scattered, that might not be too bad, actually. In any case, the pig girl would keep jumping to avoid the damage of the earthquake as much as she could, while she slowly kept closing in the monster.
"Jazz! This is a Mega level digimon. Don't let your guard down." Katherine remarked. Meanwhile, the curly-haired kept studying the stage and the enemy from above, trying to find any weak spot on the dinosaur or basically anything of interest down there. Would she be lucky enough, or was she being too optimistic?
Battle Log:
-Danger Love: No damage. Cho-Hakkaimon curses the enemy with a romantic charm, making them take a slight amount of damage at the end of every turn, for the next 5 turns. 5 turns cooldown.
Danger Love's cooldown: 0/5. Danger Love's duration: 0/5.

"Well, yeah," the red-eyed girl reassured her teammate, "I was thinking we could have a nice competition about who hurts the enemy the most!" Yes. Hurting people. That was 'nice', wasn't it? Hopefully Jazz would agree, if Elsie ever got around to telling her that they should compete on it.
Plus, Evie would probably murder her sister, if she botched this mission out of competing with a pig.
But, since Anzu was offering her a ride down, the now-Matadormon wasn't going to refuse. "Fancy," the Digimon hummed, a reverberation in its words from the metal that covered its face. "Liking the new form, Bean," it teased, taking a seat. Of course she would! She got a free ride, and Mephistomon looked pretty awesome once he finally took form! Though, she couldn't say that she blamed Katherine for the sudden decision not to be thrown into the death pit.
Upon being dropped off, the Matadormon would walk to stand alongside the more ground-bound members of the group, blades shifting a little despite her arms remaining at her sides. Perhaps, it was a sign of anticipation. Excitement? Especially once their opponent was revealed. If the Champion could smile, it would be. For a moment, it felt like the spirit that she controlled was edging forward, urging to begin moving.
"I want it," the digimon commented. Was it in a battle-hungry manner? Or did she literally want to steal this creature? It was a coin-toss when it came to Elsie.
This statement wouldn't alter how she handled the next move. While Anzu had the air, the rest of them had to figure something out, right? "I think we're mostly close-range," the pink-clad Digimon stated, hearing Jazz. Mephistomon might not be, but considering the weapons of the remainder of them? It didn't look like a ranged-type group! Excluding Wizardmon, of course. Wizards weren't close-quarters friendly usually! Or, at least, Elsie would like to believe they weren't.
Despite their differences, the Matadormon would keep similar pace with Jazz, trying to stay close enough -- yet far enough away -- to avoid being split up and being taken out with a single stomp of this 'mon's foot! Bouncing across the ground, the Digimon seemed intent to make a follow-up once the Cho-Hakkaimon might be able to reach their target. But, in the meantime? She'd find a second to pause, lifting up arms to reveal each of the blades hidden beneath the sleeves. While the shaking earth would surely lower her accuracy, the Digimon still murmured, "Thousand Arrows," while firing off each of the rapiers upward, in an angle that seemed clearly intent to strike the beast that they were fighting.
And, once they had? She'd continue to follow Jazz, allowing the distance to make it a little less predictable on how well she would truly be trailing the pig. At least the splitting earth was a simple enough thing to spot that Matadormon was confident that she wouldn't fall in for the time being.
Evie, on the other hand, remained standing while they watched the battle. Maintaining eye contact as long as Duskmon did, she didn't seem overly concerned about their discussion. Neither nervous nor hostile, a faint smile continued on her lips. Even when the first 'offer' was made. Insulting. But, it gave an interesting insight. They were concerned about Kara-nam, apparently. Nobody wanted to wipe someone off the map if they weren't."We're not seeking a temporary truce," the blonde would comment, tone still holding a hint of sweetness. "Nor are we planning to eliminate a settlement for something short-lived." They weren't desperate. At least, Evie wasn't. And, she certainly wouldn't respect any of the teammates that would have taken such an offer! "So, my offer is simple. A permanent truce. Without destroying one of the other settlements to gain it."
A bold counter, wasn't it? One that Evie knew would be shot down. But, if Duskmon dared to waste her time with his first offer, she'd place one that she suspected he would find equally unreasonable.
Set the bar high. Then they'd have to wager to see who would win. And for that, Evie knew she would need her team to win.

Well Isabella faced a conundrum didn't she ? traversing this settlement while weird was not something that provided any trouble to the fairy, who thanks to her weird set of skills felt like a natural fit to this segment of the mission. But real trouble did not rear her ugly head until the fairy reached the location specified in the message sent to Bella via the bracelet, and boy was it shocking. A jet black statue of a Tactimon, well Isabella knew one thing for sure. If this place has at least one digimon near, yes not as strong just near the level of strength of your average Tactimon then the team really does not want to be on this settlement's bad side, so for better or her worse the proud fairy made a little pray for the others to succeed in whatever that group had to do.
"Oh Yggdrasil, guide theit souls. For they are inexperienced but mean well, by your might and the might of the thirteen holy guardians protect them and..." she stopped for a second only to think of Souji, to think the narcissistic fairy would feel sympathy and really care about someone is strange to say the least. But not only did Souji help save her life but he reminded her of a certain someone she used to know. "And return them to me safe and sound." The fairy whispered to herself, before strengthening her resolve and got ready to continue exploring this bizarre and dangerous place.
Once the fairy looked down she would notice something strange, the dobermons looked like they are more than ready to start a fight with anyone that looked at them funny. incidentally that was what she was doing but thanks to her device she was wearing Bella was invisible so things won't go bad for her immediately, but it did not mean it was not going to anytime soon. Especially since she was at a crossroads a simple decision really, left or right. But here is the thing Bella did not know what sort of consequences her decision will have. But she chose right, she was winging it but she is ready to do anything possible to help her friends.
Back to the battle in what was essentially a fighting pit, man either Amelie undersell this settlement or the group did not take her warnings as serious as they should-be. But anyways they are now fighting whether they liked it or not, well the spirit liked it liked because the bizarre nature of how Souji accuired this power did not create an oppurtunity to fully test this power, but that did not mean both he and Souji tried to tinker with this form, figuring out the nifty tricks they can pull as Wizardmon. They just did not know the limitations of said form, but now is the best time to find out.
"Are you seriously still calling me Petermon boy? I am not even the boy right, nor am I a petermon. Eh, arguing with you would do me no good. " The Wizardmon then turned at Anzu and chuckled barely maintaining his laughter, man did he love to mess with that wreck of a digimon.
"Well look we have here, if it ain't little miss dish out but can't take it. Good choice of words, I don't know how relevant it is to confess your feelings right now, but it is better than you trying to throw some insults. Because god knows if they insult you back they would have hurt you precious little feelings." The wizardmon said with a smug look on his face, well was that the best time to push Anzu's buttons ? He did not know nor did he care really. But the time for messing around was running out, the wizardmon quickly dashed to Sasha's position.
"You there, short sword lady. I need something from you, the others are a bit strong but rash, so what I need from you is for you to stab our enemy in the eyes limit their field of vision from there we improvise. Got it ?" He said whispering to her, to the point that no one else should be able to hear what he said. He then turned to the rest of his teammates and said.
"Alright people let us do this."
He then swiftly jumped avoiding the tremors, the wizardmon chuckled as this was mostly an easy job on him. He pouted when the others attacked immediately "god damn it, you guys get the fun part. Eh I need to use this." While mid air the Wizardmon spun his staff as he released gusts of wind that circled his allies boosting their speed, also helping them gently float just a little more.
BATTLE LOG : Wizardmon uses a special move
The breeze of victory : Wizardmon summons a gust of wind that covers him and his allies, increasing their speed by 25% for 2 turns (3 post cooldown)

“Lookin good, girls.” Sasha commented as the now transformed Anzu and Elsie landed close by, rather awed by the former’s rather fearsome appearance. Not bad for someone everyone called Bean. Though she quirked an eyebrow seeing they had taken Akemi along for the ride. Was it wise to have a human down in the arena? She shrugged a bit, turning back her attention to the large doors opening on the other side of the arena, the floor trembling as whatever was behind them came closer.
The beast stepped forward to reveal itself as…
…a dinosaur? That was…slightly underwhelming to Sasha, actually. Knowing both digimon and this settlement she was expecting something a bit more vicious looking and over the top, like…a dragon made out of many guns? Nah, that was probably too much. Regardless, at least she got to fight against something seemingly very powerful, that was good enough for her.
“Range or not we’re good. You know what they say: the best offense is a good offense!” She quipped to the Matadormon with a grin. It was hard to tell whether her mangling of that saying was due to her lack of culture, or Musyamon’s, but did it really matter right now?
Both of Jazz’s and Souji’s advice was as sound to her as it was obvious, since despite having this form for a relatively small amount of time, she was already fully aware of how close combat oriented it was. It also was large, loud and very hard to ignore. And while she didn’t took all too kindly to being called short (she was currently taller than the wizard by a far margin too!) she was too eager to fight to give it much thought, simply nodding at his idea. It wasn’t much of a plan yet, but nobody else had given any better ideas, so eh, why not give it a shot?
“You got it, boy!” With a laugh she jumped in the opposite direction where Jazz and Elsie were heading, avoiding the collapsing floor caused by the Brachimon while keeping away from the other teammates. If they were spread out such a large and slow beast would have a harder time hitting any of them. Aided by Wizardmon’s wind she closed in the distance with the Brachimon with ease. With a powerful kick to the floor and some extra help of said wind current she leaped high into the air, approaching the long neck dinosaur’s head. She swung her sword downward with deceptively high speed, the blade moving so fast it seemed to vibrate as it slashed through the air, aiming to hit the giant digimon on its eyes as instructed.
After all, Mega level or not the eyes were still a weak spot, right?
Sasha approaches the Brachiomon thanks to Souji's Breeze of Victory, and aims to cut the dinosaur's eyes with Vorpal Cut.
[Passive]: I BRING WAR: Conflict fuels this spirit, and as the fight rages on so does the escalation of his tactics. For every turn that he spends fighting he increases his strenght by 10%. This can stack up to four times, though if he is unable to deal damage for two posts in a row all the stacks will be lost. At any time during the fight they can focus all the accumulated stacks into one of their other offensive abilities, increasing the ability's damage by twice the amount of stacked power (I.E. making the attack be 80% stronger with four stacks). After doing this however they can't accumulate more stacks for the next 3 turns.
Vorpal Cut: Slashes the air in front of him with such strenght that it cuts through solid matter with ease, ignoring whatever defense the oponent has to deal medium damage. Three posts cooldown.
Cooldowns:
Vorpal Cut (0/3)

Thus far, it seemed like nobody was pulling any punches! Neither the small earthquake caused by Brachimon nor the subsequent attacks were thrown with any restraint or care for environmental damage. Lest to say, every attack coming its way had managed to hit in one way or another; perks of being so big, probably! However... excluding Anzu's attack, the digimon seemed to be unfazed by pretty much everything thrown its way, almost as if the entirety of what had been used against it had been ineffective. Was the digimon that tough that only the Mephismon could damage it, even if barely so? Or were there other reasons besides that? Considering that Jazz's attack would take a bit to deal damage, the answer was uncertain. Duskmon let out a laugh. Was that prompted by the futility of the opposing team's attack, or by Evie's counter-request? Maybe a bit of both. "A permanent truce, and total rejection of my own offer? That is very bold of you, human girl. What was your name, again?" For a second, the digimon sounded amused. "Well, the ambassadors from Deeplane sure are ambitious. Pity ambition doesn't equate to intelligence." Undaunted, Brachimon prepared to stomp again, even though this attack was way more focused. his left front leg was raised, it's intent to crush Elsie underfoot, or to at least damage the Matardormon in the ensuing shockwave. Given sharp observational skills, her and anyone nearby the digimon would notice a symbol in the sole of the digimon's foot. "But, you entertained me, so I'll play along." Duskmon resumed after the attack. "Tayichi'tai doesn't need outside help to defend itself from outside threats. We have the most powerful warriors in the whole Dark Area, and your group isn't even willing to collaborate on eradicating one of the few thorns in our side. In that case, may ask of you, envoy of the nascent city. What can your people offer that we can't procure for ourselves? In short; what can Tayichi'tai gain from a permanent truce with Deeplane? I'm listening." What about Bella? How was the fairy faring in a foreign land without any kind of outside help? That was a very interesting question! At first, her journey wasn't difficult; she had gotten into a narrow street. The entrance of one alley could be seen right away. It took her one or two minutes, but after some walking around, the Tinkermon would feel... hunted, almost as if something was tracking her, or trying to discern her location. By now, she caught a glimpse of the entrance of a second alley; this time at the left, and beside it, a cart with the following inscription: 'Bastian's Delivery Service'. Just after that, the digimon would feel a series of angry barks becoming louder and louder, evidently approaching her position... could it be that she was discovered.
