NeoDevimon wasn't out of tricks, it seems! How he managed to evade the next grapple, despite Heraldmon's increased speed was pretty surprising; however, the eldritch horror could be resourceful as well, or at least, the brain behind it. Sensing the amount of energy that its enemy was accumulating only gave way to the simplest of actions. Black smoke enveloped the abomination's visage for a split seconds before its color changed drastically as well. NeoDevimon knew what was coming. The fireworks were set off already; the only thing that was left was witnessing the results! Once the attack impacted, and the damage was mirrored between one entity to the other, Heraldmon just collapsed; the attack, amplified by NeoDevimon's trap, had proven to be a bittoo strong for the digimon to handle, its body now lying in a heap on the floor, but at least there was the small consolation that NeoDevimon probably wouldn't survive his own attack, at least unless he had an ace under his sleeve. But then again, so did Amy. The fight was more than able to go on if needed; this single moment of vulnerability was all credit she'd give to her enemies.

Perhaps it was the confusion of the battle... or perhaps it was situation they found themselves in, but Iko was not as tactically sound as Viktor assumed. The wolf seemed confused Viktor returned to him. An odd reason for confusion considering Iko was Viktor’s literal only ally currently fighting the LadyDevimon with him. He was simply ensuring the wolf was still in the fight. It wasn’t sentimental to pay him back, it was to make sure he still had another hand in this. Not only that, but their placement was of little concern given her ability to basically send her attack anywhere. The fox simply shook his head as he kept his eyes locked into the demoness, still watching for any attack she might make. Like clockwork... here she came, ready to skewer the fox where he stood. Fortunately, Viktor’s eyes proved faster than her lance and the fox wouldn’t do much make a full dodge as he more focused on moving to what looked like a parry! But as the lance grew closer to his blade, he dipped his shoulder, the lance coming mere inches to striking Viktor before he brought his weapon around and stepped off his back foot, rotating his hips and planting a single foot while stabbing out with the other, attempting to deliver a powerful reverse kick that was angled to knock her into Iko’s arms! Regardless of the kick landing or not, Viktor would take a single backflip and poise with his Weapon, looking for an opening to deliver a very precise slice! He cursed under his breath, this shouldn’t be taking this long. The human response was likely either ready or in its way, and he didn’t want to be anywhere near the area when they arrived. They had no idea who was who and could simply take them all out... Viktor had no plans to die a fox, so this fight needed to end sooner rather than later! __________________________________________ Battle Log: Read the post! >:V

Well... to say this was quite a mess of an endeavor, not to mention a massive chagrin, was probably among the greatest of understatements ever encountered. Not only did the Astamon not respond to anything Cion voiced, but neither did it appear as if he had listened to her at all. The pain it endured from her allies and some traitors was far more important than the fundamental, existential questions that haunted most too blind to recognize them. Narrow minds who wasted potential... that was how things were, universally so... Sighing, she folded her arms and shook her head. Was it even worth trying to reach the wicked and the fatuous, or was it merely unavailing? That was a question left unanswered today, but the first signs of fruitlessness crept into her awareness. One thing was for certain however - this event, its participants and results would forever burn itself into her memory. Thankfully, Toki had performed admirably, showing that he too had so much capability that had yet to be unlocked. Maybe he was bound to be a delightful surprise to the vulpine sentinel. Solely time could tell. Listening to the concerns of the pariah's, the CyberSagitamon kept a grave mien as she often did during a conflict. Understandable worries and animosity were explained, though naturally she was incapable of relating for her experiences with DATS had been accostable thus far. She did not dismiss them outright, but it was difficult for her to sympathize with imprudent thugs. There was the possibility they deserved what was coming to them. Perhaps Levi, a charming rascal and cherished acquaintance, knew of a way to solve this problem peacefully, together with young Mr. Akiyama. If not... that was acceptable, too. The scream of the reporter was of greater concern to Cion at the moment. Shifting her aureate gaze to become witness of the scene, she narrowed them and frowned ever so slightly. "So weak..." She spoke under her breath, disgusted and enraged by the Matadrmon's utterly vile actions of kidnapping an entity too frail to defend itself. What a miserable, odious fiend this annoyingly flamboyant creature was. Defragmenting it was both a gratification and service to the two plains of existence. "I doubt anyone cares about your tale, villain." She addressed the colorful martial artist directly, her voice beaming with absolute composure and confidence. She stood strong and tall, stalwart and unyielding... unlike others who she considered pleasant companions. Then, she walked towards him, taking slow strides. "You have a hostage - yes. None of us are fast enough to stop you from hurting her with our current limitations - presumably. But only you will regret if you lay a finger on this innocent woman. No quarter, no mercy. I vow that you will beseech me for deletion, and I will not answer."She was through with appeasement or attempts to reason with these fundamentally ill wights. If violence and were ultimately the sole languages they comprehended then this was allowable - so was her incapability to save the lady. She refused to relinquish due to ethics and morality that weakened the brave and empowered the malicious. "Face me in a duel in the digital world if you believe in yourself and your deeds this much. By any chance... abjection might teach you sanity." She adamantly challenged the ego and everything this adversary was. Perhaps the Matadrmon understood the double-edged sword she had imposed on it. If it complied then his destruction was assured from her point of view. If it rejected her challenge then everyone would fathom what it truly was. Either choice was detrimental to it and beneficial to peace. Battle Log: Move: - Cion utilizes 'No Ability' - Cion does not utilize Combat-Passive Ability 'Data Arrow Storm'

The ExVeemon first looked at the fellow champion levels with shock and confusion, and not soon after, anger was added to the mix. He stood with his eyes closed, rubbing his fingers into his eyelids. "Tell me... when... did I say... ANYTHING... about morals? Righteousness? What? Yeah, I phrased it kinda uppity, but pardon me if I made it sound like I was talking about 'righteousness.' I'm giving my two bits, whether they mean anything or not, about how to get what you want. And what's this about 'proving you're idiots?' Are you suggesting your whole reasoning is that you don't want to look like you messed up? You want a promise? Fine. I promise you that only apologizing won't help. That's what this day was supposed to be about. Mutual understanding... educating one another, so nobody has to be the victims of aggression borne of ignorance. That aside... what you say is true: you have no one to vouch for you. And you know that better than anyone. It's also true, that I am lucky to have a human partner. With that in mind, I promise to each and every one of you, that if you help with this, I will vouch for you. I'll speak with Maria and the agents of DATS. I'll negotiate. And I won't let them give you trouble. As you can clearly see... she's currently busy. I've been talking all big because it sounded like what I was supposed to do. But it seems to me like you'd appreciate something more like a transaction. Something without all those buzzwords anyhow. Those are my terms. Do we have a deal? Remember: if you're worried I won't hold up my end of the bargain, it's three on one, right?"
On an unrelated note, the dragon soon heard quite the outrageous thread being thrown in Matadormon's direction, and he recognized the voice that had made it as he turned to face Cion for a moment. "Holy CRAP, Cion, stand down! That guy's got a hostage; I care immensely about what they have to say!"

Double suicide... perhaps, except one is critical and one... frankly, the scene was gruesome. Neo Devimon thought it won, but the voodoo pain instead coursing all over its body and blasted its body to smithereens... A hypnosis so strong could cause a physical reaction, and this is no different. The demon lifelessly toppled over, bursting into data, forever gone.
...Amelie is in no condition to fight, however.
"What. on. earth. are. you. doing!?" Maria cannot believe her ears, so much that she spoke her lines between gnashed teeth. There was someone who's in hostage situation up there... and even though she's as furious, why on earth does this critter that once she thought was a responsible person instead goaded high threat Digimon to do whatever it want!? Does she had no idea the proverb "even a cornered rat would bite off a cat"?
Matadrmon was silent for a moment before he suddenly looked at Maria.
"Hey, you guys... was there any of kids who left their wind up toy behind somewhere? Tell them that they need to collect it as soon as possible. Its voice grates my ears~ Ekekeke~ Unless... this clown" he would point at the general direction of Cion "speak for you? Funny how apparently the higher your level is the less is your social skill. I wonder who's the villain here, really?"
Goddamn, she's now tonguetied!
"Why are you all repeating the same ol, same ol? 'I'm not the same as you, thus you're evil', isn't that what people says nowadays? Well, that's justified for me. I'm evil! Kakakakaka! But have you even considered the past behind someone so that they're 'evil'? Or are you some sort of knight templar? You all sending threats left and right but doesn't do much action yourselves, it's funny! MY SIDES ARE SPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLITING~~!"
In the midst of laughing Matadrmon, the three adults just stared at Luke.
"...Hey, we're talking to him," the Deltamon pointed at Levi. "Not at you, mister. Have you heard nothing? We and him," he pointed at Pumpmon "does not share the same goal. You want to piss people off? Because that's surefire way to get it. Unless you understand and don't trivialize what we're feeling, it's better to just slash your card or something. Letting her go? You're letting her go! You're not dealing much damage against her and she's ready to leave!"
Right on time, the Lady Devimon dodged another of Viktor's attack. Normally, it would be hard to dodge, but at the moment, it's buffed versus unnamed attack... she can dodge that easily. Her reaction speed is simply faster. She might be telegraphing, but the parry was all she needed to raise her spear up, sending lightning toward the two combatants, as she predicted!
The situation is not looking great for her honestly... She's not sufficiently harmed, yes... but neither is she doing the right damage on these two. Battle of attrition like this tire her... and it's time to end this farce. Lady Devimon slowly inhaled. She did guessed that Iko would try to grab her... but is it any importance at the moment? Even if she's in pain... it'll only make her scream louder. Yes, louder... like how she likes it.
--The sound that came out from her lips was so deafening, complete with wailing of souls that rose from the ground. It possibly only grew stronger with the death of Neo Devimon and defeat of Astamon. The resulting scream would have damaged every single glass-based objects in the area. The lamps, glasses, cameras... everything. At least it wasn't loud enough to destroy windows on some buildings far away... It, however, was enough to heavily damage whoever is inside its effective range... the closer, the worse it is. Now, would Iko let go from this devastating damage?
"Whew, that was very intense wasn't it!" Matadrmon commented. Whatever it is, it was apparently enough to knock the Cameraman unconscious... and also the reporter woman. Matadrmon lifted the woman by her arm and inspected her. Limp, huh. "...Awww, she fainted. Humans are soooo weak~ Ehehehe.... Sorry, where are we again?"
The trio adults was fast enough to cover their ears, although it's clear that they took damage. Even then, they looked at Levi. "You need a bit more lesson in how to words your sentences then," Dark Tyranomon would say "with your friends saying about moral sides of it all, who can help it when we thought you're going to guilt trip us too? None of these are important for the meantime.... We only said we would cooperate with them as long as no humans are seriously injured... but they're against it, so... I guess our contract are off."
The three jogressed immediately, and once it finished, what resulted would be a Metal Greymon X (Virus).
"Oh, what's this? Three of you want to fight against me? Well that's to be expected... But you see, the critter has challenged me, so... SAY GOODBYE~~!"
Matadrmon's knives stabbed at its target. Blood arcing from the stab point--but not one that he expected.
"...You're... a fool if you think... I'll stay silent. Gott...sumon... drag... those two... run!"
Pumpmon, using his technique, swapped his position with the reporter. For once, Matadrmon does not cackle, nor he said anything smart...
He trembled. In fury that is.
Gottsumon, who was near the reporter, quickly grabbed her and the cameraman. His body cracked all over from the shriek of the Lady Devimon... but with this, the two of them will be safe and away from the battlefield. Even though he wanted to look back at his eternal friend, he had no luxury to do so. While crying, he pressed forward. He must keep running and running, lest Matadrmon targets him next!
"YOU BASTAAARDDD!!" Matadrmon's shriek was like a music to Pumpmon. This isn't his first time pissing off a Vampire Digimon anyway. Unfortunately for Matadrmon, He was unable to hit Pumpmon for the second time. A blast of laser caught him off guard, knocking him to the ground.
"THAT'S IT! NO MORE MISTER NICE GUY!! HOW DARE YOU STAND IN MY WAY OF REVENGE!?"
"We can and we will," the Metal Greymon X snidely commented. However, it froze when suddenly Matadrmon grabbed nearby unconscious Astamon and bit him. They doesn't like the sight of this one... Once he done feasting, he tossed the corpse aside... where it quickly formed into a Digitama.
Battle Log: Matadrmon's attack missed the reporter lady, and hits Pumpmon instead due to Pumpmon's 'A Trick it is!" Matadrmon absorbed Astamon's leftover health, rebooting him. Matadrmon is now on full health.
Neo Devimon has perished Astamon has rebooted
Lady Devimon dodged another of Viktor's attack. Lady Devimon's buff ends this turn. -however, the lightning will strike at the two combatants- Lady Devimon caught by Iko's attack, is burned and used "Wails of the Damned" Wail of the Damned: Once per thread. Lady Devimon and her familiar scream loudly, calling forth tortured souls and damages opponent surrounding it. The farther the enemies from its attack, the less damage they take. This attack gains 100% extra damage per fallen allies. (currently 200% boosted) From the farthest to the closest: Matadrmon < Cion < Toki, Maria and co. < Levi and co., Luke <<<<<<< Viktor (Absolutely closest due to grappling: Iko)
Three adults has fused into Metal Greymon (Vi) X Antibody Attacked Matadrmon with no-cooldown attack.
Pumpmon used "A Trick it is!" to switch position with the reporter lady while the lamps exploded from Lady Devimon X's attack.

The scream of the female devil - the force it carried was quite perturbing. Seeing how various items of glass burst apart, Cion felt fortunate that she was a long distance away from the vile source. Of course mental pain temporarily traversed along her nervous system as her senses distorted. Thankfully, no true harm remained; only a lingering headache. Unfortunately, the Matadrmon was left mostly unaffected by this ability based on sound, too. It was a real shame, for two villains bringing each other to naught was indeed a delight to behold. However... getting her paws dirty personally was acceptable as well. Though she recognized what Levi tried to tell her, this kind of lie seemed unbecoming to the often charming rascal. The truth was that solely the safety of the hostage and the de-escalation was of concern to the good-natured participants of this clash. The sole reason why anyone would relinquish and heed the nightmare soldier's words was due to its position, not sympathy. Was this something their common adversary knew? Probably, which was exactly why she outright refused to partake in this iterant farce. The quicker and more effective they brought thsi endeavor to an end the better for everyone. Given that a couple of significant opposers had already fallen to the protectors' blades, this sentiment was evidently executed admirably - deliberately or not. Despite Maria's unseemly ire, would she and her organization not agree? They appeared eager to finish missions as fast as possible. Oh well... regardless, the fall of the enemies and the numerical advantage of her allies was certainly beneficial. Their shared foe, although willingly ignorant, was but a cornered animal desperate to survive and realize its wicked will. The predator turned prey... and all that was needed was the perfect moment to strike. Bored by its infantile attempts to aggravate her, the virus' uninspired taunts failed to impress her, much less leave a lasting effect. "You just can't stop rattling on, can you?" She asked rhetorically, keeping her firm poise and neutrality in her voice. Displaying clear indifference, her aureate eyes narrowed, maintaining their absolute focus on her miserable game and the unconscious reporter. "My challenge to you - that was where we were interrupted." She answered calmly, excited to see the fiend's reaction. That was until some solo digimons decided to interfere, which caused her opponent to panic. Faintly bearing her teeth, Cion was about to execute her plan as a power billowed through the air - not unlike a ripple on the surface of a body of water. Jerking to a halt, the Pumpmon's interference came with a sacrifice. Nothing lethal, but unnecessary damage was still a detriment. Not that she was acquainted with the puppet, but... she understood the potential consequences of such rashness. Nevertheless, the woman she had bantered with before was save, and the Matadrmon was obviously succumbing to its mental fragility. Excellent... Unflinchingly watching the enemy gorge himself up on a vanquished comrade, the vulpine sentinel harrumphed. " Don't pretend it's the past that matters to you, or perish the thought justice. Egomania alone constrains you to act - but thanks for vociferously admitting your insatiable thirst for personal revenge to my undoubtedly benevolent comrades. I rest my case..." She continued to relentlessly antagonize and publicly denounce the flamboyant maniac. It was a scheme that had oftentimes proven itself to be useful and entertaining. Fueling their frenzy made her antagonists pleasantly predictable. With a snap of her finger, streams of data manifested themselves around herself and her companions, including the brave Pumpmon. Soothing pangs and mending moderate wounds as to assure the readiness of combat within the participators, her attention nonetheless belonged entirely to the colorful vampire. With her hands behind her hip, she proceeded to unperturbedly and confidently approach her opposition with slow strides. "I take it this was the last interruption, yes? So... back to my challenge, shall we? A duel in the digital world... or do you instead prefer ten on one here?" She questioned the intentions and sanity of the frenzied terrorist with uncanny composure. Was this behavior a ploy, or was Cion actually so poised? Wouldn't her adversary want to know... but no mien nor wince would grant it certainty. Naturally, she had not forgotten her vow... Viktor's efforts were enough. Even if he didn't directly manage to strike into the LadyDevimon, her backwards movement made it predictable enough for the wolf to grip his arms around her, both arms swinging around in a tight grapple around her midsection, that veil of dark flame held directly against her back. With 'Evasion Protocol' worn off, she would be subject to the full brunt of the torture wrought by the fire - even as that lightning struck through him, pain wracked through his body.
He held close, grip tight, ready to call right out to Viktor to end this - when that foul noise shot right through his ears, sending his armor ringing, easily deafening the wolf at point blank range. His vision blurred as his grip tightened, the edges of his vision thick with fog.
Everything else fell to the wayside. Right now, Iko's mind didn't register that he was in the bustling city, that there was a fight here, that there was a hostage situation behind him. It didn't register Viktor, or even that he had a tamer, or even the last three years of his life. No, right now, this was a wolf still wandering in the depths of the Dark Area, fighting tooth and nail for his survival. One claw slipped up - intent on grasping right around the LadyDevimon's neck, intent to sear that throat with dark, pungent flames and to plunge his nails right through the ultimate's neck.
His throat let out a growl, the center of his forehead pulsing with another charge, before letting out another 'Lunar Ray' - this one aimed right at the back of the LadyDevimon's head. No thought, no remorse, not even a realization of the situation.
He just had to eliminate the threat in front of him. Perhaps Luke would have had something to say to the other Digimon in the area, in response to their response - but something far more important was caught out of the corner of his eye. Against the NeoDevimon, Amelie seemed to have taken the battle to a draw, both Digimon landing in a dangerous looking heap. And with the battle still going on, seeing Amelie collapsed caused the tamer to grit his teeth.
"... Fucking hell..." There was a moment's hesitation, but the athlete sprinted away from the other Digimon, clearly and fully distracted from the conversation at hand. Yes, it looked terrible in context, but Luke didn't care: he would simply try and get to the Hearaldmon's side, looking over the spirit's injured frame.
At the very least, she had managed to remain in her spirit form - and better yet, came out on top. But what if the Matadormon decided to do with the Heraldmon, what he'd just done to the Astamon? "Amy, you able to move?" Luke darted his eyes around the area: "They've got the Matadormon distracted enough - if you can, we should be able to peel out the back!"
Iko is hit by lightning and LadyDevimon's wail - but rather than falter, he grips on. Intent on taking the LadyDevimon out right then and there. He uses Lunar Ray to try and pierce through the back of LadyDevimon's head, as well as attempts to grip around the devil's neck. Evasion Protocol Expires. Burning Darkness Duration: 3/3 Lunar Ray A slit opens in Iko's helmet, revealing the half-moon, energy briefly charging before being sent out as a white ray of energy. Simple, effective ranged attack.
Burning Darkness III Iko can cover himself or his armor with dark energy, severely burning opponents that touch him directly. Can only be used once a battle, for three posts.

The LadyDevimon's movements of dodging and rapid evasion was exactly what Viktor expected, as her own defensive movements had become her biggest vulnerability. While Viktor was getting her dance around his blade, the demoness ended up directly in the fatal grasp Iko and his flames. Those flames might be enough on their own to finish LadyDevimon, but Viktor saw the wolf's eyes, saw what he planned. A two pronged attack it was. The fox widened out, ready to strike that final blow and end this once and for all... or so he thought. As he leveled that weapon and came to impale her with it, she released a cry so powerful it launched Viktor backwards off the building and into an adjacent office space, sending strains lighting surging through his lithe body. He met contact on the lower floor, crashing through the first and tumbling through the next. Breaking every column and every cubical that was unfortunate enough to find itself in his path. Luckily... he didn't see any onlookers or people in this office. "Good..." he ran his tongue over his teeth, "DATS can do something right."He spit a string of blood and wiped his maw, then planted his Naginata into the ground and pulled himself up, closing his eyes and focusing. Soon... there would be a red glow around his form, those deep blue eyes shifted to a sinister red. He took a deep sigh and watched as a familiar red sort of tar began dripping from his wounds, rather than blood. He continued dripping as he relocated his off wrist with a simple flick, then leaped to the other building. Viktor started scanning for his target, while keeping aware of his allies around him, careful not to hit them with his plaque. Viktor might have been irate... but he was no-where to level Iko's full feral state. This was both an advantage and a disadvantage, LadyDevimon would have no choice but to focus on Iko. The down side was that Iko likely didn't discriminate against friend or foe alike. He'd need to play this close to the chest. With a grunt from his wound and a shift of his stance; Viktor planted his feet and began rushing forward. Each step left tar, and each step ignited into another, leaving two solid trails of flame that led directly to the grappling duo. He continued this as fast as he was physically able, letting that length of fire grow before he came to an almost complete stop. As quickly as he ran, he planted both feet yet again and thrust his hands forward, sending the entirety of the flaming trail and the red, burning plaque to the LadyDevimon! Viktor was careful not to hit Iko, and would pull his attack to whatever direction he needed to prevent any fratricide! She would be hard pressed to dodge this, even with her increased speed. Truthfully, Viktor just wanted this to be over so he could go back to drinking alcohol. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Viktor is hit by LadyDevimon's attack and activates Red Mode I as a defensive counter measure. Viktor also uses Trail Blazer for 40 meters. Trailblazer: Viktor shifts his stance, changing from the sharp, piercing ink to literal fire. He then drags it along the ground, either behind him or around him, allowing him to manipulate the fire to protect him, or attack foes. The longer the trail, the more effective it becomes. Limited amount of ‘ink’, about 40 meters worth. Every ten meters is a post cool down. [2] to [4]. Red Mode I - Red Layer An approximation of the D-Reaper's shield, usable once per thread and lasting for three posts. On use, the user appears pure red, and physical damage is halved over the duration. On direct contact with an enemy, either by touching or being attacked, a thick red residue is applied to the enemy's point of contact. Lasting for a post, heavy burning damage, similar to tar, is inflicted over the area. It is also corrosive, effective against mechanical opponents.

Toki waited for the Matadrmon's story...but it never came. All of a sudden, every began to shout, cutting off any and all possible chance of rebuttal. All this served was to irritate the enemy even more and drive the situation even further towards chaos. His heart pounded in his chest. His anger and frustration stretching his patience thin as he tried to find the right answer. What was he going to do, and how was he going to accomplish it? Everything was falling apart...
Then, Amelie was defeated. Not without destroying her opponent, but the lengths she had to go through to achieve victory shouldn't have been necessary. This situation could have been handled so much better if people took the time to listen. Something that he, admittedly, failed to do. The fact that Cion taunted and provoked the enemy, who has a hostage, didn't sit well with him at all. Angering someone who has a bargaining chip would never end well.
He grit his teeth. What was he doing wrong? What could he do to set this right? He felt like he wasn't in control of the situation and because of that, people were going to get hurt. However...something happened. Levi got through to the Champions. His eyes widened as he eventually came to a realization. This...wasn't the time to stand on the moral high ground. The champions personally suffered enough from their own get. To be pointed at and reminded of their failings...how much must that have stung? Everyone here...just wanted someone, anyone to listen to them. To give them the benefit of the doubt, and to understand them. Maybe not necessarily agree, but just...understand.
Something clicked within Toki. He smiled and chuckled weakly "So much time learning under you...and it wasn't until now that I truly understand what you taught me...I spent so much time trying to be you...that I forgot who you and I really were...Tsusagimon..." he clenched his fists "Today, I change. Today, your teachings will truly guide me...and I will fight on as my best self."
Suddenly the piercing scream echoed across the streets, shattering some of the glass in the area and reverberating with an awful energy. The sound pierced his ears and his body was assaulted by dreadful waves as he fell to a knee, gasping heavily as he fought the pain. “Fight through it…fight through it…!” He said between clenched teeth. As the scream faded, Toki struggled to stand back up. He punched the ground and pushed himself back up. He looked out to see the adults jogress and aid in the battle. Levi got through to them somehow. Toki smiled softly as he realized he could learn a lot from them. He was proud they Levi was so willing to keep the situation handled against all odds and give the champion Digimon the benefit of the doubt like that.
With that, a surge of confidence washed over him. He wasn’t going to give up either. Despite Matadrmon’s madness, he felt a straight on approach wouldn’t work, so he said something under his breath “Modify…Chameleon Cape…” A cloak materialized around Toki’s body that soon shimmered and changed to allow Toki to blend into the environment. He crouched down and dashed towards Matadrmon under the cloak’s cover, trying to reach them before they could harm the reporter…but It was too late! That is, until Pumpmon heroically traded places with her and took the damage in her stead. Gotsumon guided the humans away to safety afterwards, but Toki still felt horrible that so many had to be hurt today. However, now was the time for action.
Before Matadrmon could react, Toki approached swift and attempted to grab them by the neck and lift them up “Forgive me.” He whispered as he would violently slam them down onto the pavement "Stalagmite Fortress!!" Spikes of earth would skewer upwards from beneath Matadrmon's body in an attempt to totally shred their body apart while Toki held them down.
He stood up and took a deep breath "I promise! I will listen to you as long as you desire! I will help you negotiate with DATS until my lungs give out! I will ensure your comfort and safety when this battle is won!" he shouted to the jogressed champions. All they wanted...was someone to understand. Someone who would listen. One group through peaceful negotiation...one through shock and fear...one through chaos and mayhem. In a way, they all just wanted to be heard. Some were just more destructive than others and pointed at a deeper problem than any one individual’s insanity. He prepared himself to go up against Matadrmon. This time, the battle wouldn't be interrupted. -----

Some plans are... not as perfect as they look on paper, Amy found out rather soon. Sure NeoDevimon had been neutralized —or a wee bit more than that, probably—, yet she was in no condition to fight anymore; things as they were, more or less. A chance was taken, and the result had been... overall positive, she could say. A digimon on its last legs on the battlefield would be a nuisance more than anything. So, summoning the last bit of Heraldmon's remaining energy, the aberration suddenly vanished, apparently leaving the scene. That'd be the last everyone would see of it. Or not really. Amelie's visage appeared seconds afterward right beside Luke; sure, she was worse from the wear, but at least she looked alive. That was a good thing! "You look a bit distressed." The brunette said, her expression a bit entertained as she scanned the battlefield to get an idea of what happened. "Don't worry, I'm fine... well, kinda; no more evolving for a while for me, and I kinda stopped being relevant in this conflict." A bruised ego, and utter exhaustion of her energy reserves; the truth was that if she had to exert herself for a lot more, chances would be that Amy would end up collapsing, but appearances had to be kept. Right? Anyway... "I think this is going in our favor." She idly pondered while stretching her sore arms a bit. "But I think our time's running out as well. Hope everyone can finish in time." There would be consequences if they didn't, quite likely. A fair deal of collateral damage had been dealt thus far, even though the young woman couldn't quite process the depth or importance of it. Quite vexing...
Turn Recap! —Amelie devolves and scurries to a somewhat safer location.
—She's not a combatant anymore, so no meaningful combat actions were taken.

OOC: Due to the events in the Group A leg of this plot, plus with permission from Yuuki, I am going to be joining in this part of the plot with Agent Tiger and Jiro, acting as reinforcements from DATS.
Through the night sky of Tokyo, maneuvering through the tall skyscrapers of Shibuya, those that looked out their windows would be seeing a sight that could be straight out of a fantasy/action TV show. A large dragon was flying steadily North toward his target. Upon his back was a black haired woman, dressed in sunglasses, a trim black and red uniform of a jacket and trousers, and a determined look on her face as she made her way as quickly as possible.
She had barely registered the events in the Entertainment District, where disaster had been narrowly averted, thanks to the intrepid work of a group of Tamers and Digimon that de-fused the situation and prevented an outbreak of violence. However, things didn't seem to be going as smoothly in the other hotspots of digimon activity in Shibuya tonight. Hachiko Square seemed to have turned into a battle royale, and things were very bad in Miyashita Park, so she had been told. So Agent Tiger's new orders were thus: go to the park and assist in putting the situation under control.
She didn't yet know the situation, but hopefully she and her Coredramon partner Jiro could handle it.
Eventually, she caught sight of the park. She couldn't yet make out the damage, but she could see clear signs of digimon activity down there. And thus, she braced herself as Jiro swooped down to make a landing, doing so close by the other DATS Agent on the field - Agent Maria, as well as her twin partners, Noir and Blanc.
"Agent Maria. Commander Hashimoto ordered me here to assist." Agent Tiger explained as she dismounted her partner. "What is the current situation?" she hoped she could receive a quick briefing on who the culprits were and how she could help put things right. She looked around at the battlefield, seeing many strange digimon present. Some she knew, others she didn't. But if there was enough chaos here to require her reinforcement, she'd have to know what was what.

The ExVeemon was trying very hard to ignore the nearby shouting while conversing with the three champions. With the one exception, of course, of the shout that no one could ignore. Levi was a bit delayed in his reaction, but covered his ears at about the same time. He flinched in pain and stared wide-eyed ahead until the ringing stopped, though the pain was bearable.
When the scream reached Alan, barely a hint of a noise reached him when a shield of light enveloped him, inside of which it was completely silent. But before the scream was even halfway over, the shield cracked and shattered, though this had given the human plenty of time to get on the ground and cover his ears with about every form of padding currently on his person, and press as hard as he could until the dreadful noise ended. Shaken, he stood, checking off "survive an Ultimate attack" on a mental checklist. So when do I get to digivolve? he joked to himself, happy that somehow, his glasses survived the onslaught.
Apart from the interruption, the rest of the conversation proceeded smoothly, Levi scratching the back of his head in relief and mild embarrassment that the backlash he had received was only part of a misunderstanding. He hadn't even considered that they would think he was lecturing them on ethics; he truly had been only trying to give his thoughts and advice, and attempting to seem charismatic while doing it. "Oh, yeah, no, we're cool." stammered the dragon, uncoolly.
But what happened next - the jogress - left Levi shaken for reasons he was ashamed to admit. Thoughts flooded his mind. At first, it was simply shock that the three champion-levels were able to do that this whole time. Disappointment followed, and this in turn made Levi consider why this was disappointing to him. This is good, right?
The basis upon which Levi had spoken earlier was the assumption that with their powers combined, the four champions could fight together to equal - or even exceed - the power of one ultimate. It had been a wonderful thought, to overcome limitations and work together as such. A new ultimate had joined their ranks. This was a good thing.
He felt alone.
Nami and Jirou had appeared to help. A friendly face and a new ultimate had joined the fray. This was a wonderful thing.
He felt helpless.
Like before, at the beginning of the DATS dilemma, they had appeared to finish the fight with the final control spire. That was practically a miracle.
It felt good, somewhat. But it also felt hollow.
Levi stared at the sky and trembled, unable to tell melodrama from real emotion. Was he troubled? Or did he just want to appear as such? He felt selfish and shallow. Alan's voice crackled into his ear. "Levi, what's wrong?" The voice wasn't urgent or angry. After all, the human had a pretty good idea. He glanced in Toki's direction. "Do you remember... when you reached that form for the first time...? You were tired as hell, but you couldn't figure out how to de-digivolve. I... feel silly suggesting this like it's no big deal, but I'll bit this forward: Unlike at New Year's... digimentals are a non-issue. Right, Levi?" The Tamer chuckled weakly. "Over."
"Hm!" scoffed Levi. "Ever the optimist." He swirled around and surveyed the surrounding scene of chaos, and began in a soft, mocking tone, "Yeah, Alan, why don't I just digivolve to- ah!?"
The middle of ExVeemon's sentence left him engulfed in a blinding light, as if it had been waiting to do this for a long time - teetering on the edge, a power Levi kept choked down out of some irrational habit. His body stretched and slimmed. the light deposited into heavy pieces of shimmering armor, and Alan, though it would be of no relevant use, somehow felt lighter.
"M... Magnamon…?"
Yes. That was the next word in his sentence, though he had no idea how it came to him. It felt natural, like a muscle memory. The doubts and insecurities lifted from Magnamon's mind, having been contradicted by the warrior's very existence.
"Aw-right!" Alan jumped and pumped his fist in the air. It crossed his mind to check if there were any cameras still working around here, but he had to admit to himself that it wasn't of very much importance at the moment.
Levi inspected what he could see of himself: arm arm, then the other, both legs, and finally exclaimed,
"It's Golden Week, Tokyo!"
Alan's Light Screen is quickly shattered by "Wails of the Damned." Recharge Duration Remaining: 3 turns Recharges Remaining: 2
Champion ExVeemon Levi takes increased damage from "Wails of the Damned." Levi digivolves: Champion ExVeemon -> Ultimate Magnamon

Talk about a mess. She likes people with heroic and honorable tendency, but this Digimon in front of her, is nothing but careless bravado, one that would drag the situation down to even worse. Considering the damage, it's not out of realm of possibility that the park have to be closed for few weeks to come.
"Change of plan," she declared with heavy heart. She heard from Agent Tiger that this certain Digimon was polite... but she can't see anything but a massive danger to real world. "We have one more target to capture. Force return this Digimon in front of me immediately to Digital World!" she pointed at Cion "Enough of your self serving drivel! You said you'll assist, but all you did is assisting the terrorists and incite them to attack more!"
Blanc and Noir immediately joined their hands together, fusing into a single Digimon, Sistermon Ciel. The Digimon brandishes her sword. Immediately charged at Cion. The blade whipped toward the Digimon's body, leaving white trajectory behind it as it aims to deal damage.
"I'll return those words to you then... return, or is it something-number against one right here and now?" the Digimon questioned.
"We have no idea what happened, but eh well, time to build some reps? We can't exactly forgive you either for your travesty!" Metal Greymon mused out loud. It quickly blasted toward Matadrmon, the cannon morphed into a claw, ready to shred the Digimon to pieces, yet... with speed unthinkable, not only that Matadrmon dodged, but also whapped the perfect jogress away, causing it to be launched to nearest tree, destroying it. That normal attack wasn't normal the slightest! It's too empowered!
Meanwhile, Agent Maria saw Agent Tiger approaching. Maria saluted at the other agent before briefing her the situation. "The initial attack was a scare tactic done by misguided three adult stages which is now that Metal Greymon there, no causalities after quick response to evacuate. However, then four perfect stages, Astamon, Lady Devimon, Matadrmon and Neo Devimon immediately attacked and it become a full fight. The current damage was because attack from Astamon and Lady Devimon. However, the one who incites the most damage was..."
Maria pointed at Cion. "...Her. I have no idea what was her conduct when she was with you, but she undoubtedly talked down too much toward the terrorist, which causes the first collateral damage, and then incites Matadrmon to attack his hostage, a reporter that was hiding from plain sight. That Pumpmon over there," she pointed toward the unconscious Digimon "was the one who sacrificed himself to stop the attack. That's the gist of it."
While Matadrmon was busy approaching the rest, Lady Devimon was still in a lockdown. She gritted her teeth. This attack, how annoying! And not to mention, now there's pincer attack going on!? She cannot die right here, no way. She must make her final stand. Lady Devimon's body suddenly become transparent. Iko's hold on her practically vanished. The laser pierced through her--but instead now directed at Viktor, while Viktor's flaming Naginata unfortunately while hits its target, would completely pierces her body as if it's empty air, and strike Iko instead. Fortunately for the two this is not a scots-free move. She still took damage to certain extent, although not to degree that the two combatants wanted. Before she returned back to solid form, Lady Devimon attempted to gain distance from the two combatants... not a lot, sadly, with the damage she took.
"...Hard to believe you guys want to bully a weak lady like me, ufufu... go...hoh..." the demon barfed some blood. Finally the attacks are doing some damage. She... don't think she could get out from here alive. Well now... what should she do?
Matadrmon meanwhile slowly approaching the targets... had it not been for Toki who suddenly grabbed him by the neck. Not having enough time to react, it hits the ground... but thanks to its technique, the damage was mitigated... somewhat... None of that matters though, because somehow... laughter escaped from the flamboyant bullfighter vampire.
"...You promise... you said? What... does that empty promise would do to me...? Are you looking down on me? Looking down on me, are you? Kuhuhuhu... kekekeke... KAKAKAKAA!!"
Blast of dark energy released from the Digimon. "I don't want to be released, nor I want to bow my head to the very organization that deprived me of my most precious person! YES, I RECALL IT LIKE IT WAS YEEEESTERDAAAAY!!
MY BROTHER, OH MY BELOVED BROTHER, HOW DARE THEY BRAINWASHED YOU, THOSE DAMNED DATS, HUMAN GOVERNMENT!! WE HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG, PICODEVIMON! WE DID NOOOTHING WROOOONG!! WE ONLY WANTED TO ESCAPE FROM DARK AREA AND LIVES IN PEACE, YET THOSE DATS IMMEDIATELY HUNTED US LIKE WE DID SOMETHING WRONG! WHY, WHY, WHY WOULD THEY DID THIS!? WE JUST WANTED TO SURVIVE AND MAKE OUR LIVES BETTER, YET THEY BRAINWASHED YOU AND MADE US KILL ONE ANOTHER! DEAREST BROTHER, I HAD TO KILL YOU WITH MY OWN HAND, MY PITIFUL, STRONG BROTHER...
AND YOU... YOU THINK THIS GRUDGE CAN BE DOUSED WITH MERE TALK!? ARE YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME!?"
And suddenly, the maniac screaming died as his voice returned back to normal.
"...I had enough... enough of these incompetence... Either you kill me, or I kill you..."
A ring formed around Toki and Matadrmon. Purple flame danced around them, isolating them from the rest.
Cion is now treated as a target to return to Digital World immediately. Sistermon Blanc and Noir fused to Ciel used Shirotsume-Ichimonji Sistermon Ciel draws her sword and uses it to slash an opponent. Is able to pierce through all defenses and barriers [Cooldown: 2 turns].
Metal Greymon's Blitz Arm is parried.
Lady Devimon uses "Into the Abyss" Reduces attacks dealt to Lady Devimon this turn by 50% if it's physical, 25% if it's energy based. All attacks become piercing. Three turns cooldown.
Matadrmon used "Bullfighter's Dance" Creates area for 1vs1 fight for 3 turns. Must previously absorbed an ally. Any attacks that aimed to interrupt the fight will be immediately dodged and returned in spades toward its own attacker. Once per turn.

So focused on the main threat of this most unpleasant issue, it was actually something unexpected that slightly managed to break her out of her poise. Reluctant to show this for more than a brief moment, Cion's aureate eyes shifted to the apparently indignant agent who had, at least to her awareness, idly monitored the situation. Not judging Maria negatively for trying to attain intel on her kind, her imputation was unreckoned regardless. "I reckon I did quite the opposite by providing myself as a primary target for the enemies and attaining their attention - not to mention my continued proposal to Matadrmon to face me in a duel away from Earth and its inhabitants." She calmly explained herself, hoping this misjudgment of her character would not become a future detriment. After all, they were fighting together for a common cause, which was to preserve peace and the well-being of those incapable of defending themselves. Lady Tiger understood this as well, right? Unlike the other officer and some participants, she merely preferred to be proactive instead of reactive. "But I am open to constructive criticism and a discussion... naturally once this problem is dealt with."It was a shame that the colorful fiend was able, throug its self-evident lack of moral, intellectual, honorable and self-preservative integrity, to bring a divide among them. However, as it was always the case, the CyberSagitamon refused to be inhibited by such paltry schemes, be they intentional or coincidental. Especially against a foe who repulsed to heed a single word no matter its tenor, someone consumed by its own maniacal frenzy, must not receive this type of weapon to wield. It was obvious that words alone would never reach it, and if sway was necessary then the vulpine sentinel was compliant to accept this exigency. Surprisingly so, just like her previous plan, her current attempts to manipulate the mad virus were thwarted by the interference of another. Yet this time, Cion was not sure what to feel, for the severe punishment Toki laid down, driven by sky-high flames of passion and fervor, was indeed alleviative to her. It certainly suited the versed boy better than kneeling before his adversary in an effort to appease it. There was reluctance and hesitation in his indispensable act, but that was only natural. Although they shared the same source of might, their mindsets, given their different species, remained dissimilar. Sighing, the armored fox did not believe she had much of a choice than to listen to the 'temerarious' terrorist's rattling. Whatever had happened in the past, this entity in front of her was entirely broken and a great danger who sought to retaliate against a wrong with another. But in the end, it confirmed its intention anew - death. Hopefully, this sign was finally the nail in coffin that made her allies realize what they needed to do. Giving quarter in this dire circumstances was bound to beget further anguish and agony. Sometimes, had line simply had to be drawn. This was exactly why she was willing to give everything she got with the relatively marginal power at her present disposal to assist young Mr. Akiyama. The purple sphere of fire that isolated them was unfortunately a colossal hindrance to her ambitions. A personal arena that likely prevented influence from the outside - truly a mighty ability. Still, Matadrmon was but of the Perfect level, hence this ablaze cage was presumably superable. That was her potential chance, and she knew who precisely to turn to. "Miss Tiger! If we..." Yet as she tilted her head confidently, an event that was destined to burn itself forever into her mind occurred. Having no reason to expect an ambush from an auxiliary. Though the slash of her blade was merely of the strength of a Sistermon Ciel, an Adult, Cion felt it penetrating her futuristic armaments nevertheless. Gasping with a wide gaze, the ancient vanguard was pushed backwards, paws clutching her cleaved chest as she stumbled, narrowly keeping her footing. "What in the..." She questioned in hushed whispers. This puppet... had it been ordered by Maria to put her to the sword? "But... you... why..." She attempted to make sense of this in vain. Bearing her teeth, her composure gave way for an instance as her eyes swayed between those who had attacked her and her trapped friend. She had faith in him... but her desire to assure her friend's safety was greater than petty scuffles and revenge. " Listen... I am confident this bulwark of fire can be overcome. If we concentrate out attacks on it... then we will possibly be able to help Toki." She responded, meeting antagonism with selfless abandon. For several seconds, it still felt like Iko was in another world.
That dull sound echoed through his ears, his arms grasping tight around the LadyDevimon as the flames seared into her flesh. For a moment, it almost felt like she disintegrated in his arms, collapsing away by the strength of his grip. But no - whether it was steam or smoke, somehow the devil managed to slip away from her arms. The wolf's hands slipped inward, Iko's gauntlet meeting Viktor's blade as his swing followed through.
Hopefully, this would allow the wolf to parry it with but a scratch on his arm, and, slowly, his sense of hearing returned. His eyes trailed over to the appearance of that weakened LadyDevimon. The wolf himself spat off to the side, blood trailed on the asphalt, growling as the LadyDevimon taunted him further. Iko grit his teeth, but he could feel something different, as Luke's attention diverged away from the battle at hand.
So that's how it is?
He gave a sigh. "... I'm done." His tone was tired and dull, not registering the LadyDevimon as a significant threat to him anymore. "As I see it, you have three choices. Attack me and get loaded; attack the fox and maybe not get loaded, or surrender yourself to DATS and see what they'll do to you. Honestly, if I were you, I'd pick door number two."
His voice was tired, and at that, he'd turn away and stride away from the fight - vaguely in Luke and Amelie's direction. But should the LadyDevimon take notice, she'd see that Iko's shadow was far darker than normal - perhaps ready to counter at a moment's notice. "Honestly, if I wasn't distressed, I'd worry." Luke managed a smile - and as needed, he'd help Amelie up, supporting her weight as he looked towards the sheer madness near the center of it all. Relatively, things did seem to be going in their favor, but time was definitely a factor.
Especially as additional help showed up.
"... Let's duck into a building. Iko seems to know where we are, and he doesn't seem to be drawing on my Digivice that much anymore. We'll group up, and take a portal out to wherever." He looked back over his shoulder, as the Matadormon continued that shouting match.
"... I'd rather not stick around for DATS or whatever to question us about all this."
