The situation was definitely on the dicey side, and in all honesty, Amelie herself was unsure on whether they had taken a turn for the better or the worse; another DATS agent showing up seemed like more-than-welcome reinforcements, yet... one of their comrades being deemed as an unwanted element made her face contort with worry. Considering that she had been pretty much absent of what had happened this whole time due to her single-mindedness in her own battle —not to mention, Heraldmon's own inability to see or hear—, such a conclusion was mistifying to the brunette.
Asking for what happened seemed like the logical thing to do, yet... somewhat tasteless at the same time; the conflict was still going at full throttle, and the possible peril posed to both Luke and her own person hadn't stopped being very much real. That said...
"I can walk on my own, Luke. Don't worry about that." Probably not run for more than five seconds, but it wasn't like leaning on another human being's shoulder helped a lot with that. "I agree with you, though. At least in regards to me, I think I've played my role on this board. Pity that pieces can't be promoted in real life, huh? I'd appreciate the power boost."
A somewhat entertained chuckle followed suit as the young woman followed her friend. "And, I gotta say I sympathize with that sentiment. Would rather not be questioned if I can help it, especially since it looks like the blonde lady is rather incensed."
Good thing she wasn't the manager here.

Viktor's mind was clear, his thoughts were on this battle and he was expecting tricks, perhaps she would teleport or give another ear piercing cry. But transparency? Surely she knew the foolishness of this? Data was data, transparent or not and the D-reaper's tar wold affect her all the same. But... he would let her figure that on her own. She was still occupying space. As the demoness phased through his blade, Viktor was lined up to impale his wolf ally. Or... he would have if wasn't planning for this trickery. The fox pulled his blade to the outside, sending it clear from his ally as he brought it back around. She might have been semi-invisible, but she didn't understand the Tar from the Red Mode affected data. Transparent or otherwise. Viktor would push away just after, letting Iko regain his bearings. But... as the Demoness taunted, Iko simply turned his back and headed to what Viktor assumed was his partners. Explaining she had three choices. As soon as Iko finished and turned, he would finally speak to the Demoness directly; "Christ, just die already."Viktor next and only retort was him aiming his weapon; training it on LadyDevimon's movements before bringing it up and around, with a single, short stroke, that created a solo symbol. It spun in place then approached the Demoness in an expeditious manner! She might have been transparent, but this was still explosive and would affect her, even if his polearm could not. He was baffled why she was stalling for time, given that once the humans formed their response it was essentially game over for her. They might threaten Viktor, but even in all this chaos they would know who was fighting for them. Maybe she thought she could take them? Perhaps she was so fool hardy in her actions that she truly believed this would end in her favor. So believing that the humans were weak that she wouldn't end up dead or incarcerated. Perhaps she was so radical in her beliefs that it didn't matter to her. Or... maybe she was just an idiot. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Viktor uses Slashes of Light: Slashes the air to create a single Sanskrit symbol that launches at the enemy, slicing and cutting anything it’s path.

Toki worried about the aftermath of this battle. Cion was now being targeted by Sistermon, making everything all the more stressful. This had to end soon before it was impossible to salvage. It seemed, however, that Toki didn't have much of a choice in what his next step was as the flames surrounded him and Matadrmon. Their madness induced rant hadn't fallen on deaf ears as Toki gazed at them with a look of utter sympathy. The Dark Area...once again past prejudices against that realm in the Digital World has come to haunt the present day. He clenched his fists and thought to himself that this would not stand.
He walked to the center of this makeshift arena. He paused for a moment and bowed to Matadrmon "You're right. There is nothing I could say to ease your pain or your grudge. You have my condolences...no one deserves what you have gone through. I will make things right, mark my words. But today...I will put an end to your grudge one way or another. Your madness causes suffering for the future. That...I cannot abide by."
Toki took a deep breath and exhaled "Human duels tend to end in one or two strikes..." He explained before saying "Modify...Berserker Protocol." An aura radiates around Toki's body as his power increases "Let's begin." He said, voice strained from the modification.
His next move was almost instantaneous as he kicked off the ground with staggering force. He knew that Lagosmon had relatively few powerful abilities at its disposal as it was meant for defense and counterattacking in the defense of allies, so he had to boost his strength somehow. This ring of fire...he had a plan. "Terra Kick!" He jumped and pulled his legs close to his body before kicking them outward towards Matadrmon's chest. The force was crippling, like being hit head on by a rolling boulder. The intent was to launch them towards their own wall of fire and spring off their body to avoid immediate counterattack. "I will fight on to honor the fallen. Your brother included."

One by one, Agent Tiger recognized the tamers and digimon she had met before and those she was seeing for the first time. She was glad to see Alan and Levi present, those were two that she felt she could really trust. And Cion was here as well. The rest, she only knew by word of mouth or not at all. Toki, he was a spirit wielder that Agent Maria had interviewed and helped DATS learn about spirit wielders. The rest, Tiger and Jiro did not know.
Then, Tiger listened to Maria's briefing. Initial combat was caused by three digimon that had fused into MetalGreymon, but it seemed they were now neutral. However, further damage had been caused by the arrival of four provocateurs. The black-haired woman looked at those in question. "I see. That's a similar story to what I encountered in the Entertainment District." she replied to her fellow agent.
But what she was saying about Cion... Tiger could hardly believe it. This digimon apparently goading the provocateur digimon into action? When they had a human hostage? Surely not.
"Agent Maria, please call your partners off Cion. I don't want her to be attacked." Tiger said to her colleague. She thought all of this was a mistake, but, she still had to trust in Maria's judgement. If Cion had been acting out of line here to such a degree that Maria would approve of attacks on her, she thought this was well out of control and needed to be defused immediately. She would then speak to the digimon.
"Cion, I like you, but tonight I have to go by what my superiors tell me." the DATS agent told the lavender-grey beast digimon. "They told me to assist my comrade Agent Maria, and it seems that your actions over the course of this night have caused her to distrust you to the point that she thinks you're an enemy. The best thing you can do here? Return to the digital world. I can create a portal and send you back just like last time, you'll be safe and sound and we can pretend all of these unpleasantries never happened."
She then gave a sigh, wishing she could light up a cigarette, but she had been told not to when on duty. This kind of stress never did well with her.
"So please. Return home or stand down. And I promise no harm will come to you." she looked at Maria with pleading eyes, hoping she would spare her.
Then Matadrmon made his screaming declaration. Agent Tiger cringed with guilt. Once again, it was old DATS that had caused all this destruction. They had hurt this digimon and he was seeking his revenge. And it seemed he used a powerful ability to make this a 1v1 duel, between himself and Toki.
Still though, after that display, Tiger had no intention on letting this one go, not after what she heard he had done and was intending to do. With that, she raised her digivice, a teal glowing energy glowing around her.
"Digisoul... Full Charge!" she cried, letting the energy flow through her before she jammed her palm on her device, which displayed the words "Perfect Evolution." then shone the light on her partner.
"Coredramon digivolve to...!" Jiro cried, the blue dragon transforming so that he gained weapons and accoutrements that increased his battle effectiveness by an incredible amount. Orbs appeared, hovering between his claws. A giant spear appeared on his back. His bulkiness increased considerably. And in the end, he appeared as a very threatening figure.
"...Wingdramon." he finished. As the evolution ended, he turned to face Matadrmon.
Before he would attack, Tiger turned her iC-digivice to the flamboyant demon digimon to determine his movements and strategy. From what she could determine, he was aiming the entirety of is power at Toki. However, she remained hopeful that Jiro's power could penetrate this phenomenon.
"Jiro, disable him." Agent Tiger ordered. And Jiro complied. His wings glowed green, then with swishing motions, he sent two green blades of energy at Matadrmon. They would not cause any physical damage, but, they would in fact disrupt his data for a short time, rendering him unable to use any of his known attacks, his data so jumbled he wouldn't even be able to remember the name of his attacks as he was struck. And since Jiro's attack would do no damage, he was unaffected by Matadrmon's field effect.
Tiger evolves Jiro to Wingdramon.
Jiro uses Mana Wings on Matadrmon.
Mana Wings - Jiro's wings glow green, then he beats them forward, creating two powerful blades of energy that drain attacking energy from the target. For 1 turn, they will be rendered unable to use named abilities. [Cooldown: 3 turns]

But now that the newly-formed ultimate-level was ready to join the fight, he found the situation was far less dire than it had been when he began to speak to the champions. The leader was being dealt with one-on-one, and the other combatant was at an immense disadvantage. The Magnamon could not find it within his heart to try out his new-found power on such an already-beaten-down target. At a loss for what to do, the dragon who had assumed the image of a royal knight almost began to despair anew. But what if, he thought, he directed his power elsewhere? A power not meant to hurt or kill, but rather...?
Unsure of how one would go about this, he did only what seemed natural, how this result was usually achieved in movies or games: he prayed.
Of course, he prayed to no one or nothing in particular, so it may be more accurate to say he wished. He wished that all of his allies might find some of the strength they had lost where they needed it. And there, standing in the center of that park, Levi had found that outlet for his power. A golden circle of light expanded on the ground, with him as its origin, and gradually grew larger, healing those of his allies it passed.
Though he was confused at first, Alan found the sight positively dazzling, as well as a convenient showcase of a digimon using its immense power for something other than destruction, whether said destruction had good reason or not.
Magnamon positions himself between all those currently in combat and casts First Circle of Health.
First Circle of Health - A circle of light quickly grows outwards from where Magnamon is standing. Each ally it touches is given a minor heal. The circle disappears once it has either healed four allies or reached 100 feet in radius. 3-post cooldown.
Cooldown remaining: 3 posts.

Constructive criticism? At this point it already gone beyond the time for constructive criticism. Maria exhaled and recomposed herself. She need to focus on task at hand... Which is... She scanned for the Matadrmon... The next point of action would be... somehow boost either Toki or debuff the Digimon himself huh...
"Ciel, attend to Akiyama-san," meanwhile, the agent looked at Cion "...That action could've caused us even more damage. Attacking the ring... is it? There are counter mechanism there, and you want to attack it? Honoring Agent Tiger's request, I shall not attack you anymore, but at this point I began to question your mindset. First you thought that it's a good idea to keep egging on the terrorist, causing them to unleash high powered wide area attack... Alright, that's acceptable, people can make mistakes and especially in battle they can lose temper... still tolerable...
...Then what part even 'focusing their attention at you'? He got a hostage, he wanted to be heard, perhaps a sense of superiority, who knows... but you instead egged him again... asking him to duel you in Digital World... at which point was it focusing their attention at you? All you're doing is to encourage him to off the reporter... Because he got nothing lose. He doesn't fear death, why would he fear that? He just want to inflict as much damage as possible in real world, and you encouraged it with your egging. Have you ever truly strategies your moves or are you just letting your emotions flow like that? If you just want to play hero, please go somewhere else, preferably your own world. This is critical situation, not fantasy novel."
Jiro's debuff... passed through the ring of fire without actual repercussion. Matadrmon was going to attack Toki with an attack of his own, aiming for cross counter, but Jiro's silencing debuff actually paralyzed his technique, and causes him unable to react accordingly. Toki's attack launched him to the other side of the ring, burning him severely. No shriek, no shout of pain, just a Matadrmon who hunched and seem ready to attack once more. The mechanism that was made to prevent his preys from running away now used on him... ironic. Still, there are some fight in those eyes.
At this point, Ciel has finished with her prayers and send it to Toki, healing him while at the same time cutting his cooldowns by two turns.
Lady Devimon cackled. What's this, someone's retreating? How nice, how nice. Should she thank him? The excitement of living another day seem to made the Lady Devimon more spirited. She dodged the attack sent by Viktor, albeit truthfully, a bit of it managed to peel her skin, more than just superficial wound considering the flow of data that came out from the place of contact, but still superficial compared to the burn she suffered, and the stab to the stomach back then. "How about neither? I'll be taking my leave, boys! Oh I won't die, foxy boy! Not with all those attack of yours anyway! Perhaps next time keep focusing on killing me instead rather than being frozen by my alluring look? I'd give you two kiss goodbye, but looks like this is not the time! Now, Darkness Wave Var II!!"
She sent her attack toward Viktor and the Metal Greymon that tried to aim for her. The blast from the Metal Greymon X's cannon unfortunately was only enough to counter the swarm of bats she released at him, but not enough to hit her ascending figure... If there are no action done, the Digimon would successfully escape next turn as she opened a portal above her.
Battle Log: Sistermon Ciel uses Flowing Soul at Toki Sistermon Ciel prays momentarily, then draws forth a great healing light around herself or 1 ally for major damage as well as reducing their cooldowns by 2, or up to 3 allies for moderate damage and reducing their cooldowns by 1. [Cooldown: 3 turns]
Matadrmon tried to attack, but Jiro's debuff stopped him from executing his attack. Toki's attack brutally hits him and launched him to the other side, where the ring burned him. He's taking major damage.
Lady Devimon is damaged by Viktor's attack, but decided to run anyway. She used Darkness Wave variation II on Metal Greymon X and Viktor. Darkness Wave Var II: A smokescreen, a batscreen even? It's meant to be nondamaging attack that prevented the enemy to accurately attacks Lady Devimon, thus most likely wasting their attack. one turn duration, three turns cooldown.

Toki's attack struck true, launching Matadrmon into the blazing edge of the arena. Immediately as he landed, he took off in a sprint towards Matadrmon, feeling reinvigorated by Ciel's prayers. He reached a fist out and looked as if he was about to do that combo attack on Matadrmon with the series of punches and kicks. However, he stopped few feet away from Matadrmon and drove his fist into the ground and did an ability that normally should have taken more time to recover..."Stalagmite Fortress!"
Only a few spikes shot out of the ground in front of Matadrmon. Was Toki getting too tired to use powerful abilities? However, if he didn't pay attention, then he wouldn't notice that the spikes weren't all coming from a single direction. At his sides and behind them, a ring of spikes threatened to skewer him within the fire and hold him there to continue burning away at him. Toki stood in front of ring of spikes stoically, ready to react accordingly. Would Matadrmon slip away, or would this be enough? His Berserker Protocol was still active too, so the damage from this would be amplified even further.
He cursed himself that it had to go this way. Why couldn't he have been stronger? Even now, LadyDevimon was about to escape and there was nothing he could do about it. Someone...please stop her. This all has to end so damage control could be done. Was it too late for that, however...? Was he...wrong? Could humans and Digimon truly not coexist in a way that benefited all? He grit his teeth and focused on the task at hand. He couldn't lose faith now.
There were plenty of chances to stop LadyDevimon too. With Metal Greymon dispersing the vision obscuring ability, then perhaps the others could stop her once and for all. However, that was not his primary concern. He had to focus on the remainder of his battle with Matadrmon, however long that would take. What was going to happen after this though? People would know who he is now, for sure. Would he be shunned? Ridiculed? No matter what the result was...people would be safe. That's what mattered.
----
Toki immediately pressed the advantage and used his refreshed Stalagmite Fortress to pin Matadrmon within the flames with a ring of spikes.
Stalagmite Fortress: Upon placing their palms on the ground, an area of their choosing erupts in a barrage of earthen spikes. Enemies caught will be damaged and suffer bleed damage for 2 turns (2 turn cooldown.)
Berserk Protocol Duration: 2 Turns Left Stalagmite Fortress: 0/2

Alright, she's not a complete idiot.
Honestly, even if the LadyDevimon ended up leaving, what did Iko care? It just meant that she would be put out of their hair, and she would have ended up going back to the Digital World like DATS would have forced anyways. Thus, all the Shaininmon returned was a glance over his shoulder and a small, noncommittal shrug. He would have replied more, but it was probably better not to say anything stupid in front of these two tense government officers. "Alright... alright, that's good."
Luke returned a nod, letting Amelie stand up by herself. With her agreement, the two would turn the corner into an evacuated building, and Iko, with a brief flash of light, would round the corner as a squirrel and hop right on Luke's shoulder. "Yeah, you two aren't gonna leave without me again, are ya?"
"Hardly the time for that." Luke still returned a smirk, and took out his Digivice. Here, out of sight of any of the other Digimon or even the DATS agents, Luke would open a portal against the wall, open right to the landing zone in Whitewater. He'd let Amy through first, and would follow himself soon after.
They could talk about what just happened later. Right now, anywhere was better than here!

There wasn't a lot more to say or to do. Just like Amelie had said it before, she had done everything in her power to remedy the tragic event that had transpired in Miyashita. To her, it hadn't been enough and the conflict had still raged on despite them, but it wasn't like she could do anything about it. If she remained on the battlefield, a powerless human would prove to be a little more than a liability to the actual effort. As counterproductive as it could be.
Iko's timely appearance managed to make the brunette smirk as well. It was a good thing that the group's overall sense of humor hadn't disappeared despite the dire circumstances they had faced mere moments ago. "Wouldn't have left without you if you hadn't gotten in the way of a near-omnipotent digimon's attack, to be honest. I can say with total confidence that you've gotten a bit less reckless this time!"
At least the atmosphere wouldn't be depressing that way. Once the portal was opened, the young woman walked straight through it. For now, she just wanted to forget about DATS or the mess that would ensue if any of the footage filmed there got to the general public. For one, she sure hoped that everything would be fine.

Something was off, Viktor didn't observe any onlookers or witnesses. No police. But most concerning was the lack of JDF or American forces. Considering how fast they responded to much less problems, they would at least be setting a perimeter. But there was none, only the DATS agents on site. If they weren't responding with small arms, it meant there was another option on the table:
Ordnance.
Viktor cursed as he only shook his head at the Demoness, then leaned to move in for a final barrage. She was an excellent bluffer, but the Fox was no fool. She was hurting. While he briefly surmised that an American ship was likely lining up a strike, or JDF was lining some sort of attack, the Demoness had all of his attention. But perhaps it wasn't the kind she wanted. Normally he would have let her flee, as it was little to no effect on him. But this LadyDevimon was truly a problem.
Viktor specialized in problem solving.
As she launched her attack, Viktor watched her movements. To her, it would appear that the Fox was consumed by this odd smog. At least at first. But very quickly she would see that familiar lithe figure of the DemiKajunemon break through the smoke, rubbing the blade of the weapon as it began to glow softly. Viktor took a deep breath as the world came to a stop. He began taking in the account of his momentum, her momentum, the trajectory of his polearm, it's weight, and the regular gravitational pull of the Earth. All in a matter of milliseconds. With a soft grunt, he brought his fingers up and took aim, throwing the sharpened spear not at her, but rather towards her portal.
Even if she noticed him setting up, despite it's sheer speed, her current path would be her last, should she continue it. Even if he missed, he was hot on her tail and would likely follow her through the portal!
The Fox was willing to chase her to end this, which wasn't normally his MO, but sometimes drastic enemies need drastic moves.
The Pen is Mightier: Viktor coats the blade with the writing from the weapon, increasing it’s sharpness and making it much more lethal to armored targets. It also will stick, burning to it’s target. [2] Post cool down.

Though naturally trying to be the better party in every conflict, Cion's spirit was still enshrouded in ire from the sudden, cowardly ambush by someone she had considered an ally in these times of need. It was a perfectly sensible reaction and sentiment to carry, and the fact that she did value Toki's well-being over her grudge demonstrated the strength of her character. It was her who tried to be reasonable, open-minded and down-to-earth, not those who had surprisingly decided to put her down. Her opinion of Maria was understandably highly negative, but she refused to let personal animosity impede her.
Thankfully, in lady Tiger, she found a pleasantly fair-minded acquaintance who maintained a neutral position. Having displayed efficiency and gentleness in the past, the silver fennec was, in spite of her enragement, willing to pay heed to her words - especially after insisting to stop the nonsensical assault against her. It was a great shame that the black-haired madame thought of herself as an inferior, at least in rank, for she showed wisdom, but lack of authority. And unfortunately, the solution her female companion proposed was simply inadequate, not to mention somewhat immature. Problems had to be solved, not cast aside.
From her poise, it was obvious that the CyberSagitamon portrayed a certain amount of defiance. She was a stalwart entity who rarely caved in. With her aureate eyes often shifting between those she interacted with and the prison of purple fire, anger and concerns mixed into a maelstrom of chaotic emotions on her face. It was faint, but clear as day regardless. The safety of the boy mattered the most right now. Briefly narrowing her gaze, she bit her lower lip and nodded weakly.
"I shall cease all actions, but... I must know of young Mr. Akiyama's well-being. Please assist him with everything you have." Cion explained herself, compliant to holster her weaponry but not to go away immediately. If the lad required her help, then she had to be there for him. He was too good a person to be disappointed, much less claimed by frenzied, vile forces. It was a blow of fate she had suffered too many times to abandon someone with amazing potential to it. Hopefully, the humans could relate and oblige her.
If nothing else, the other agent was unhesitant to debate the events that had transpired. Calmly listen to her statements with a neutral expression, she processed what was said and responded with utmost composure. "I noticed the limited qualities of this spherical barrier, which was I specified concentrated attacks. Matadrmon is merely Ultimate, hence his conjurations are not impenetrable."
"As for our shared enemy, it is evident that no social approach was possible with them. Emotions, logic, affronts, honor... not even appealing to survival instincts worked. Utterly consumed by what is perceived as justified vendetta. Manipulation proofed difficult. I'm glad we agree - sort of. What I said to the terrorists had little to do with their foul deeds, although I might have inadvertently removed the typical delay. However, and I have learned this from literal lifetimes of experience, I can assure you the hostage would not have been out of danger if we let our adversary speak - so please, don't patronize me."
"Naive heroism was not a factor. Everything I did was planned. The reality is only an intervention had a chance to save the woman's life. Unfortunately, the Pumpmon did so before I had the opportunity to wrest her from Matadrmon's clutches with my ability to tear space-time. Bruises, maybe a fracture, but certainy of survival. Have healing technique to mend injuries while other competent combatants dealt with the matter. Now... we'll regrettably never know." The vulpine sentinel finished her lenghty explanation with a disappointed sigh. What a messy situation... and learning experience... this was.

Levi opened his eyes.
Did this new power of mine... help anyone? he pondered, though not for very long, as he realized that he had no way of knowing. His eyes had been closed, after all, possibly for dramatic effect, rather than necessity. What he did manage to see once he had finished his healing spell (or so he assumed it was, in lieu of a definite answer,) was that the combatant he had sworn had been almost finished was now fleeing upwards. The following is a series of thoughts and actions, which, while unclear to Levi, who would only be experiencing a sudden feeling, would later be explained as thus:
Crap! What kind of precedent are we setting if one of the actual villains gets away while those champions, or rather, that ultimate, gets to be at DATS's mercy? They'll be pissed, I'll be pissed, DATS'll be pissed... and that, especially, is something to be avoided. How do I stop this?
The Magnamon's first instinct told him the best way to stop an airborne enemy with a lead was to throw something, but what? In the immediate area, there was nothing convenient, nothing that would do anything significant. However, this was a new form. He could be able to do anything, for all he knew. Clasping absolutely nothing in his hands, he took aim and made an exaggerated throwing motion, as if pitching a baseball, and upon release of the imaginary ball, the draconic warrior would notice that the ball was as real as could be.
BANG!
It was not a baseball, but rather, a sphere of concentrated, solidified, golden light sailing through the air towards LadyDevimon at a speed astonishing even to him. With no time to revel in shock, the moment he saw he had successfully launched an attack, he followed after it himself, intending to catch the fleeing devil using the jet propulsion built into his armor.
Ah... I suppose I can will flight to work, too...
A moment too late, Levi noticed that Viktor had had a very similar idea, with somewhat dissimilar intention. Even so, Levi would charge on to intercept. On some feeling, he had decided he needed to keep LadyDevimon on this side of the portal, for capture, or arrest, or whatever one would call it, and with DATS after her, it would make them considerably easier to bargain with if he was the one to do it.
Levi launches a SPHERICAL attack at LadyDevimon and charges through the air to grab hold of her if she falls, or take her off course if she doesn't.
It's Spherical! - Magnamon fires a sphere of light at a target. Apart from being a glowing ball of light, it is similar to a cannonball.

By now, Agent Tiger got the feeling that everyone was too tired and exhausted to carry this case any further. Therefore she resolved herself to simply solve what problems that remained. For now, she let Maria and Cion continue their arguement while she focused on what Jiro was doing.
For the moment, it seemed Jiro's intervention was successful in preventing Matadrmon from resisting Toki's onslaught. For a moment, she tried to decide whether or not to help finish the job, then LadyDevimon just had to draw their attention with a taunt.
Tiger and Jiro looked up, then saw that Victor and Levi were doing their part in trying to stop LadyDevimon from escaping. Sensing his opportunity, Jiro launched himself upward, closing distance on her. The orbs in both of his foreclaws were glowing. He saw that Levi was holding onto her, he frowned. "Levi! Let go! Now! Back off!" he told the other dragon digimon, at least giving him opportunity to break off before he launched his attack. He'd do the same for Victor, assuring them that he'd be able to guarantee to prevent the enemy digimon's escape.
Then, when he was directly behind LadyDevimon, he gave a triumphant snarl and clashed the orbs together, creating an orb of discordance with a radius of 20 meters. Hopefully none of the others were within this range, but hopefully LadyDevimon was.
The effect of this attack, if nothing impeded it, would immobilize her. If successful, he would not let her fall to the ground, but instead quickly carry her down so that she could properly surrender.
"LadyDevimon, on charges of disturbing the peace in the human world, you're under arrest." Jiro told her, the Wingdramon speaking in a low growl. "De-digivolve yourself at once, otherwise we'll force you to do so."
Agent Tiger meanwhile gave approving nods at Victor and Levi for preventing her escape. They had helped DATS here, and hopefully they would have much to learn from this digimon under interrogation.
Jiro changes target, flies up, then uses Sonic Pulse when in proximity to LadyDevimon.
Sonic Pulse - Jiro slams the spheres in his claws together, making wind energy pulse around him. Anyone standing or flying within 20 meters of him become immobilized for 1 turn from the shockwave. [Cooldown: 3 turns]

Part of her is extremely tired from this. There’s not even an energy in her brain at the moment to seriously listen to this Digimon’s drivel… but to be honest, Maria just want to cease this sort of ego dead on its track, no matter how useless it is. The flame behind them died as it looked like the victor of the battle has been decided.
“I shall be as patronizing as I want and I can do so. This is our jurisdiction in case you forgot. This is Real World, not Digital World, and as such, it’s my duty to stop beings with power fantasies, be it humans or Digimons to not cause more than enough damage. Yes, that includes you. If you don’t want to be patronized then perhaps rethink your actions?
You’re also a ‘mere perfect stage’ as you put it at the moment in case you forgot. All Digimon’s conjuration are not perfect, but surely you understand that to force your way through the trap will only harm Mr. Akiyama. Is that also part of your plan? Is your plan also includes the first time damage, or the possibilities that the opponent goes directly aim to end the hostage’s life?
Unlike you, we only have one life… one, not more. If we’re killed that’s the end of us.
Have you ever stop and think the consequence of mouthing off, and taunting the terrorists? Wide area of attack, does that sound familiar to you? It hits everyone, not just you. Is that part of your so called plan? Have you stopped and tell everyone else? Or are you thinking that they should just follow you for whatever ‘seniority’ you have?”
After exhaling an exasperated sigh for the last time, Maria delivered her conclusion to Cion. “...None of these matter to you isn’t it? Not the humans, not your ‘allies’, not DATS. You don’t even try to work together with the rest. It’s clear that you just want to show off your abilities and the world should just revolves around you. You have clearly painted yourself in that way to me. An arrogant being who think she’s perfect, but the tru th is absolutely otherwise. I have nothing else to address to you.”
The conclusion of the fight was clear. Toki won. His attack has charred the Matadrmon, and his life will soon forfeit… But at what cost? Surely if his madness isn’t stopped, then there will be a second time for this. The flamboyant dancer vampire also is aware of is. Its data slowly wafts away from its body. Its bond slowly breaking, and it’s about to turn into Digitama.
“...absorb… me… there is…. Nothing… left… for me… My brother… never returned… my fury… will never ends… My hatred… my vengeance… it will keep tormenting me… in… next… life… child of man… if you’re truly just… then you should take both… my fury… and my sadness… And remember… that atrocities that you… humans… made… must… end…”
What happened to Lady Devimon? Viktor’s vision was still clouded by the bat, but even if it missed the demoness herself, it hits the portal, causing it to explode. Lady Devimon shrieked, the explosion caught her off guard. The portal closed, but the explosion caused her to plummet and Levi’s attack to miss her completely… he himself won’t though, had he not stopped by Jiro. The dragon’s debuff landed and clearly she’s caught soon after. Knowing that she’s unable to fight, Lady Devimon just clicked her tongue and let herself be caught. There’s no longer any other way to fight this. She devolved back to her Petit Mammon form.
Maria approached the Metal Greymon with her partner on tow. “...Thank you for your help, but at the same time we still cannot disregard of what you did prior. We’d have to detain you and ask you several questions regarding what just transpired. Do you comply?”
The jogressed Digimon splits into three, a Black Agumon, a Gaossmon, and an Alraumon.
“We’ll comply to your demand.” the Black Agumon stated.
"Very well, we will treat you fairly." After the fiasco that is Matadrmon, Maria felt something bitter in her mouth. She just ushers them to preferred method of transport toward DATS HQ.
"DATS appreciates your help, Mr. Akiyama, Mr. Pantell, Mr. Levi, and four yet to be named individuals. Unfortunately, I have some reports to make. I trust you all can find your way home. Please do not dawdle, lest what transpired here ends up dragging you down, and please keep your Digimon hidden."
PLOT B HAS ENDED. You may post your exit post now. Rewards and reputation change as follow:
Toki and Amelie gained +2 reputation from Maria. 25000 bits and 25 posts awarded. Toki is at +3 and Amelie is at +2 Amelie gained joke item "Manager-Summoning Always-Get-it-Wrong Suncents Moccha" Alan and Levi gained +1 reputation from Maria, 25000 bits and 25 posts awarded. Alan and Levi at +2 reputation Viktor, Iko and Luke gained 15000 bits, 15 posts awarded Cion's reputation with Maria is at -3 and gains no reward.

Once it was clear that the battle was over, Toki dropped to one knee and panted heavily in exhaustion, the effects of Berserker Protocol wearing off as he listened to Matadrmon's final demands. He looked at him with an expression of genuine sympathy and sadness. He slowly stood up and extended a hand over to Matadrmon. As the fires and the spikes faded, Toki gently placed his hand on Matadrmon's head "What you've done can't be forgiven...but it's all because of the pain you've suffered that led you to this path of destruction. I wish...I could have met you and your brother all that time ago. Maybe I could have helped. All I can do now is let you rest at last. You have my word that I will do everything I can to make this cycle of hatred come to an end."
Toki wanted Matadrmon's final moments to be comfortable. He wanted to reassure him that his pain wasn't meaningless. Though it went against his code under normal circumstances...Toki began to load Matadrmon's data to prevent him from reincarnating. At this point it was the right thing to do. "Farewell...and rest easy." He wasn't sure if Digimon had a concept for an afterlife, but deep down he hoped that he would be able to see his brother again in death.
Once that was all said and done, Toki's exhaustion caught up with him, though he still had work to do. He went around and began using his abilities to smooth out and repair as much of the damage the battle had caused, though it likely wouldn't be much for the moment. Soon, he approached Maria before he reverted back to his human form "I'm sorry it all escalated to this extent, Maria. I wish there was more I could have done. But...if what Matadrmon said was true about what happened to his brother, then I'm glad that the old DATS is gone. But if there's any remnant of them anywhere in your organization, I would be wary of them. Please...don't be like them." He said, a tired and serious look in his eyes.
He looked at the Digimon being transported to DATS HQ and waved to them "Do everything you can to make sure they're treated fairly and have their voices be heard. If you want to call on me to help them or explain my side of the story I'd be more than happy to oblige. Besides..." He smiled a bit despite his worries "A lot of people probably saw me turn into a Digimon, so I'll probably need to be questioned anyway. Though I have one more question...what do you all plan to do now? I can guarantee you that a lot of people saw what happened here." He said, though he knew now wasn't the appropriate time to debate "Whatever happens next, I'll still lend my support. But even if it's a slow process, I think it's time to figure out a safe way for humans and Digimon to learn about each other. I'll just leave it at that. I know you have your own thoughts on the matter, and I'll respect them."
Before he left, he would address some of the others here. He looked towards Alan and Levi "The two of you did great. I could learn a thing or two about inspiring others from you. And look at that! Ultimate level now? I'm proud of you guys." He gave them a thumbs up. "If it weren't for your diplomacy, this might have ended a lot worse. Thank you...seriously. If you need me for anything don't hesitate to call me."
He sighed a bit and looked over to Cion "I appreciate the support you offered to me...but...I can't say I approve of what happened. If we listened to Matadrmon for just a moment we could have formulated a plan...and his wrath, while it doesn't justify his actions, was understandable. He had to be stopped, yes, but there's a tragedy to him...and I'm glad he's finally able to rest. Just...I don't know what else to say other than there's more to life than heroes and villains. We all have our motivations, good and bad, justified or unjustified. If someone does something wrong...I ask why and see what can be done to help them find peace."
If there was nothing else, Toki would simply remain in the area. He would rest up, but if he was needed to help with repairs or help calm things down, he would offer his assistance. If not, he would eventually get up to go home.

Toki loaded Matadrmon's data, bringing an end to his madness.
