Akemi and Amelie’s piece of insight only seemed to reinforce the idea that, although it was a delusional task to perform, having reunited so much information about them was definitely possible. As usually, Katherine listened closely to her friends, nodding before finally reaching the second floor.
“Oh.” Akemi’s question seemed to have caught the Australian owl off-guard. “I actually did not want to show you anything, Mrs. Amaya. Since there are tables here, I figured you would be more comfortable in this room, considering at least you have somewhere to sit.” Well, he was right. Although they were surrounded for bookshelves containing books, newspapers, and documents of all sorts, there was a giant, squared table, with enough chairs around it for the whole group to take a seat.
“So, tell me, what did Reiki exactly say about me? How did he expect me to assist?” The owl asked, looking at Katherine, who only went to look at Boru. In the end, he was the only of the digimon right there who was present when the Goddramon delivered the map.
Looking above, trying to reminiscence, the Psychemon took a moment to think. “Well, Lord Goddramon said you would be able to help Kath, specifically. At the moment, we didn’t even know she had found the first Zoid Gem, so…”
“Oh, so he probably meant something that would help her regardless of the situation. Now… what am I good at?” The bird stopped to ponder. “Oh. May I see your digivice, Mrs. Jasso?” He asked, seemingly having thought about something.
After searching inside one of the pockets of her sweater, the teenager pulled out the gadget, extending her hand to show it to Cass.
“Oh. Definitely. This is not good enough. Give me some minutes.” In a swift movement, the owl took the digivice off the Spaniard’s hands with its legs, fluttering his wings towards the western side of the room, going through some bookshelves.
“W-Wait!”
“Don’t worry, I’ll be right back. Please make yourself comfortable meanwhile!” He posited, flying into the distance.
With a sigh, the teenager concluded it was for the best to trust the owl. And, at the same time, that left them with the other thing they came here to do: planning their heist.
Once everyone had taken a seat around the table, Katherine spoke up.
“Well, it’s time to develop some type of strategy.” She declared, trying to reach within her some type of leader tone she definitely did not have. “In order to do that, I believe it’s important to establish the two main objectives of our mission.” Meanwhile, Jazz reached for some paper (there were plenty of empty sheets) and a marker. Each time her tamer spoke, she made some very rudimentary sketches to illustrate the topic and passed them around the table. She… liked doing that.
“First, we need to save Koru and Boru: Jazz’s brothers who are trapped inside the Dark Army's hideout.”
“Yes.” Fei and Boru nodded.
“Then, we need to recover the five Zoid Gems Luke the Valkyrimon has.” Katherine continued. “As long as we fulfill both of these objectives, regardless of the order, I think we can call this a success. Is there any other objective any of you think we should also give priority to?” Naturally, the leader of this operation was more than willing to listen to some insight from the rest of the members.
“About the Dark Army’s hideout…” Her green eyes shifted towards Bastian, who had been in charge of the whole segment of the plan that involved getting in. With that, Katherine was expecting Bastian to make the tag and proceed with his part of the explanation.
“The Dark Army’s settlement is a 9-story building called The Dogma Tower.” The robot explained with his regular, robotic voice. “Its two more relevant features are its alternate dimension structure and the IDD Program, running throughout the whole tower.”
“Alternate… dimension structure.” Jazz muttered.
“I believe I explained it briefly to some of you in the past. To put it shortly: The Dogma Tower is at the heart of Terminus, but at the same time it isn’t. By using the Erin Zoid Gem, it was built in a parallel plane. In that plane, the tower is real. In our plane, it is just an illusion"
"Like the ones Void used to create with that exact same gem." Her arms crossed, the words came out of Jazz, while she reached her own conclusions. "Luke managed to exploit its maximum potential, by actually building things inside of the illusion."
"It’s basically a layer placed over Terminus. In our layer, we can't see or touch the tower. But in the layer it was created, the tower definitely exists. Its structural data belongs to the city, but you can't interact with it under normal circumstances.”
“That means actually entering there must be… a very complicated task” Fei mused.
“That is why decrypting a key that would actually let us go inside a building in another dimension took me so long.” Bastian responded, before proceeding. “Naturally, considering the Dogma Tower is basically a living illusion, its whole structure is absolutely surreal. It does not follow the laws of physics other places inside the Digital World abide by. I will go into details about this when I explain what I believe we will find at each floor.”
Until now, the whole thing sounded pretty messed up. So this was the place they were entering to recover the Zoid Gems and saving Koru and Roru. It seemed that, even from its architecture, it was fairly complex. Did the rest of the group have any question? Or was the first main feature of the Dogma Tower clear enough? It was likely what one wanted to ask, was something the rest was also confused about. They had to make sure they were understanding this clearly.

"Maybe he approached that hobby with the idea that perhaps this wealth of knowledge will come in handy someday. That's one way to explain the preservation of so much...info." Akemi continued to whisper, before the girl spoke up to respond to Cass. "Oh! Well, that's perfectly fine. Quite courteous too, might I add!"
Finally they got to why they were seeking the Owlmon out. He needed to help them in a way that only he could, and it turns out, that way was...Getting Kath's digivice tricked out. Akemi could respect that, getting her D-Arc was quite the valuable upgrade. Helped save her and Anzu's behinds many times in the past. As the owl flew off to do god knows what to that Digivice, Akemi and Anzu each took a seat at the table, with Akemi sitting right next to Kath. How conspicuous.
"That's correct. We can't make a strategy towards getting to something if we don't establish what we're looking for." The girl nodded. Anzu and Nei were notably silent. Strategizing wasn't much something Nei could do, but Anzu legitimately didn't have much to offer to the table for the moment. Apart from...
"...So it's like Schrodinger's Building, then. It's there, yet it's elsewhere at the same time. Interesting..." The bean murmured. Akemi meanwhile raised her hand. "I trust we'll be learning about any figures we need to look out for? I'd like to point out that Anzu and I have never met anyone from the Dark Army in person, so we only have anecdotes to go off of."

The plot thickened. Now, the entire group was on a huge library that, admittedly, had a lot more space than the cramped room where they were before. It was a good thing that nobody here suffered from claustrophobia, because otherwise...
Not like it mattered. Time to get to the thick of things; the group had one building to infiltrate, and two objectives to fulfill. Amelie? Well... Amelie had a lot of questions to ask in the face of this, and some ideas as well. "Okay, I guess that I should begin at the start. This is probably gonna be a bit annoying, but please bear with me."
The brunette took a couple of seconds to clear her throat before she began. "How are we entering the tower? I've heard you mention a key, but I'd like to know the specifics. Are we supposed to carry out a stealth mission? Or are we gonna fight our way towards our destination? What do we know about Koru and Roru? Are they safe? How much of a priority is rescuing them? Because otherwise, it'd be better to just get the Zoid Gems first, then use the one with teleporting properties to get us to where they are, then continue as normal. For now, those are all the questions I have."
Right now, her interest in the Dogma Tower couldn't be lower. Sure, that place was abound with very weird phenomena, but so was a plethora of other locations in the Digital World. For now, Amy was confident in their ability to navigate through they found. Enemies notwithstanding, of course. Things could get dicey there.

“The what building?” To Anzu’s statement, Jazz did not take long to quirk an eyebrow, folding her arms. As usually, the bean was throwing some concepts the hog was not familiar with, mainly due to her not being familiar with many of the Human World concepts, like Schrodinger’s cat. So far, it seemed like, beyond the admittedly strange structure they were about to occupy, the group was far more worried about what might be waiting for them inside, in terms of enemies. That made perfect sense, it was likely everyone by this point knew the Dark Army had some powerful assets. THE ENEMIES “Jazz and I haven’t directly interacted with many members of the Dark Army either.” Katherine admitted. Scratching her nose, Jazz tried to make a brief count. “There was that Sagomon that faked to be a police officer… but it was Miyu who fought him.” She noted. “Thanks to Mr. Garmore’s insight, we also concluded the Team A in the All Out Race were working for Luke, right? So I guess those were members of the Dark Army too.” The tamer's green eyes shifted towards Amelie for a second, who had been their companion in that quest. “However, considering all of them failed those tasks, I don’t know if we’re going to see them again.”“Of course, considering Bastian is a former member of the Army, he should know a lot more than us about our potential enemies.” Fei, who had remained quiet until now, contributed. Naturally, everyone looked back at the robot. “Despite being called an army, the group focuses on quality rather than quantity. There are some regular digimon working on daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and doctoring, but, beyond those, there are no especially weak soldiers. They focus on having strong, capable fighters, most of the time.” The robot explained, addressing mainly Akemi’s question, but also partly Amelie’s. “Goyi told us something about the brigades, could you repeat that?”
Jazz asked. “Of course.” A robotic nod was issued. “The soldiers are split into three brigades: Alpha, Delta, and Sigma. Each brigade has a leader, commanding the rest of the soldiers in that brigade, who receives the title of Mighty Commander. Each brigade has a special function in the army, too.” Very similar to what Goyi had mentioned. “Luke, the Valkyrimon, commands the Delta Brigade. They’re in charge of everything related to combat and exploration. That includes searching for the Zoid Gems, so I remember that Gonzo guy being a member of the Delta Brigade, which explains why you had to face him. Kuma, the Pandamon, belongs to Delta too, so that’s an enemy you must look out for. You probably have heard enough about him, he is Goyi’s master and one of my best friends."Both Katherine and Jazz looked at Boru. “Right, I’ve seen him. Mrs. Titania fought against that guy. He is… very strong.” “Titania’s wounds were very serious when I found her.” Fei recalled. “I can tell that guy is dangerous.”“He has a reason to fight for. He wants to see Goyi again.” Katherine noted, her arms folded. “I think that’s what makes him so determined and dangerous.” “Although they’re constantly being sent out to explore and retrieve objects for the army, there is a high chance there are some members of the Delta Brigade in the building at any moment. If you’re trying to reach Luke, it is likely you find those, trying to protect their leader.” Bastian went on with his explanation. “That being said, you must also look out for Tip and Dash, and Aegiomon and a Gazimon.” “Shisei mentioned those two being in the mission at Snowflake Village, right?” Jazz noted, her eyes shifted back to Amelie. “Mrs. Titania and Feishi also met Tip, back at ElDoradimon.” Boru noted. “That guy… I remember feeling an unsettling amount of energy coming from him when he transformed.” The Lekismon confessed. “I think he is not even capable of controlling his full power.” “Tip is certainly dangerous. Although Dash is another huge threat. Their chemistry on the battlefield is huge, too. If you’re fighting against the two of them together, be prepared for anything.” Bastian suggested. “There is also a brigade in charge of protecting the fortress, right?” While she frolicked with one of her curls, Katherine glared back at Bastian. “Yes, Misu. The Alpha Brigade. That’s the one I used to belong to. Most of the times, they are inside the fortress, and they never leave. That means you will be fighting them.” “Any member of the Alpha Brigade we should take care of?” “Their skills are usually focused on healing and defending, at least the ones that are good in combat. I would definitely say Ronda, the Effecmon, is a dangerous digimon.” The robot answered. “You know that one too, right, Shisei?” Jazz asked. “We saw her at the tower too, she looked like a resourceful creature.” Fei noted. “I remember Paul mentioning she’s usually sent to protect the Delta Brigade in their missions.” Katherine reminisced. “She’s the right hand of Zu, the leader of the Alpha Brigade.” Bastian added. “Besides Luke, it is very likely you will face Zu too.”“Zu is one of the Mighty Commanders, right? What kind of digimon is she? Even Paul told us he didn’t know.” “She has the ability to change shape as she pleases. She can change her digital structure to look like the form of data she pleases to look like. Not even in my time as a member of the Dark Army I was able to see her real form. So please… be aware of any impostors. Zu is childish and loves to play jokes on enemies and allies all the same.” She sounded like a very dangerous character. “No use talking about the Sigma Brigade, as not even I know anything about it. Of course, there might be other dangerous Soldiers that have joined the army in these years I have not belonged to it. However, I doubt the overall structure of the organization has changed much.” The robot finished his explanation about some of the potential enemies they would find inside the Dogma Tower. Now, Bastian and the rest of the group went to address Amelie’s question. ENTERING AND EXITING
“I think I have a safe lead on where Boru and Jazz’s brothers might be inside the tower. Considering they’re our top priority, actually searching for them in that place should be a crucial part of our plan. If that fails, then we can go for Luke and try with the gem.” Bastian noted. “Yes. Getting the Lazuli Zoid Gem to go for Koru and Roru is definitely a good idea. But I assume defeating Luke will be much harder than rescuing the Psychemons.” Katherine noted, her green eyes denoting worriedness. “Our chances of beating Luke are scarce, after all. So getting rid of the easy task first, so we can escape at least having saved that pair sounds better.”It was a good thing to know Amelie had full trust on them defeating the Valkyrimon. At least someone did. “Right. Entering the fortress.” Bastian stood up, opening the front casket of his own shelf and taking out an infini-store. Out of the device, he took out a metallic cube, different lines engraved around it. “This is a Portal Cube. It is the item the Dark Army uses to enter their hideout. It works kind of like the portal software in your digivices, except it is calibrated to only enter a single place, the Dogma Tower. I kept my Portal Cube, even after demitting from the army. They keep a record of all of the Portal Cubes, so they were able to remotely deactivate mine, so I couldn’t enter their hideout ever again. I had to destroy and rebuild my Portal Cube, both physically and in terms of software, to be able to recalibrate it, so it could take someone into the Dogma Tower. I used a book Misus brought for me to decrypt the old code and discover the coordinates of the Tower.”
That sounded rather complex. Both Katherine and Jazz understood the thing perfectly, thanks to the time they had worked along Bastian, while Boru and Fei were not interested in asking anything about it. “Usually, the Portal Cube can only take a single person into the hideout, and each member of the Dark Army must use theirs to travel together into the structure. Since I did not have the time to build a Portal Cube for each of you, I extended the conveying capabilities of this one. Once I activate it, a portal will open, that will allow you to enter the fortress. Just going through the portal will add an exit program to your digivices and a program for us to communicate. I have several doubts about the later working, but you should be able to activate the former one to leave at any time.
When any of the digivices activates the exit program, it will take everyone out, since you’re entering through a single Portal Cube, so, for the program, you’re all a single package of data. If you want someone you found inside the tower to exit with you, like Koru and Roru, for example, you must only point at them with your digivice so their data is added to the exit program, which will bring you here, where you entered the portal. It is likely the army finds the form of remotely deactivating the portal you used to get in at any moment, so I would bet that, once you get out, you won't be able to go in again.” “Although it sounds extremely simple right now, you actually had to go through a lot of works to achieve this, didn’t you?” Fei asked, her eyes golden eyes affixed into the robot. "S-Simple...?" “I don’t know anything about programming so… I can’t imagine how hard it can be to actually crack the code to enter an organization that takes so many precautions like these guys.” “Thank you.” Bastian nodded. “I had some great assistants.” The robot glanced at Jazz and Katherine. It was almost as if he was smiling. “Please let me know if all of this is clear enough and ask questions about this now if you have any. Once that’s done, I will go on to explain the other feature of the Dogma Tower, the IDD program.”

"Schrodinger's Building. It's everywhere, specifically that one place, and at the same time it's nowhere. It's like this...weird science-y thingy I read about once in the real world." Anzu clarified, quite briskly towards Jazz. Moving on, it was known to Akemi, Anzu, and Nei that these people were packing some pretty serious heat, in layman's terms.
Much of these people, Akemi was already informed about thanks to Goyi, way back when. They had definitely not heard of Zu, however... "...So nobody knows what she really is because she keeps changing her face..." Akemi murmured to herself. "Is there any particular way we can discern if someone might be her or not?"
"Or any particular way she acts." Anzu added on. When it came to the subject of entering and/or exiting the Tower, it was Nei who brought up a few concerns. "Where exactly is that program gonna take us once we get inside? Do you have any specifics about that?"
The Bakumon had a point. Akemi thought this was all as clear as can be, sure, but they needed to know a bit more. "What do we do when we're inside? Like...Where specifically should we try making our way to in order to get the operation underway?"

There wasn't a lot that Amy could do, but to listen to the encroaching walls of text every explanation that had to be given. She was familiar with some names that were mentioned, but commenting on that seemed pointless and disruptive for the rhythm of the information delivery, so, for now, she remained silent.
What did they have thus far? The identities of her possible enemies, the hierarchy of the Dark Army and finally, about whether she was aware of Ronda's existence, plus Zu's penchant for trickery. After a small nod regarding the Effecmon, she couldn't help but ponder. "Should we have some form to identify ourselves to each other, just so this Zu girl can't trick us into believing that she's one of us? I think that'd be very handy."
Once that was taken care of, the plan regarding the other in which they'd complete their objectives plus the way they'd get inside Dogma Tower. Thus far, it seemed that the path had already been traced for the group to act so, it wasn't like Amelie could add anything to that. It seemed solid enough, and changing it just so her voice could be heard would be a bit arrogant. So...
"Understood pretty much everything thus far. Feel free to proceed about that IDD thing."

“I’m afraid you can’t, Misu.” After listening to Akemi’s question, Bastian threw an answer her way. “When she transforms, Zu is actually turning into whatever she pleases. She can even mimic a digimon’s techniques with the same effectiveness and the scanners will show her as the targeted digimon she decided to copy.” “Hmmm… like some type of code. Maybe a question only we know, which must be given an answer not necessarily logic, but that only we know too.” Rubbing her chin, Katherine glanced at Amelie. That actually was a great idea. “What do you have in mind, Amy?” Time to come up with some kind of secret word. “I think your action plan must be built by yourselves, Shinshi. I feel that planning must go, however, after I explain what the IDD program is. So you have all of the possible information you can have before planning what you will do once you enter.” Bastian looked at Nei, before speaking to the whole table again. THE IDD PROGRAM “The Instant Data Deletion program, also known as the IDD, is the strongest security measure the Dogma Tower has installed to prevent the entrance of non-allowed forms of data.” He explained. “At all times, there is a data scanner going through the whole tower. The IDD is programmed to only allow the existence of Dark Army members within the tower, set to eliminate any intruder as soon as the scanner detects a form of data that does not correspond to one of the ones programmed into the software. Those being the data of the Dark Army members.”“H-How does it eliminate them?” Jazz asked while her eyes widened slowly. “While you're inside the Dogma Tower, you’re inside of a pool of data created by the Dark Army. Your data basically belongs to the tower and it has entered a neighbor server of the Digital World they control. Therefore, the program can eliminate you instantly as if it pressed delete in a computer. Your data will be shattered and you will be lost forever.” His tone darker than ever, Bastian answered. “W-What are you saying?” Both of her hands on the table, Katherine leaned forward. “It can’t be.” Fei added. “ That means, just by entering the tower the program will instantly delete us?”“Unless you use… this.” Out of the same infini-store from before, Bastian took out, one by one, a set of black cloaks. There were at least 12 of them. “I am 99% sure the code of the IDD program cannot be changed. That means, unlike the Portal Cube, my data is still allowed by the system to get in safely because the program cannot be rewritten. The members that belonged to the Army when the program was created are still written in its code, so the IDD does not see my data as a threat.”“Your data is in the cloaks, then?” Jazz asked, reluctantly. “Exactly, Misu. I have inserted pieces of my data in each of these cloaks. As soon as you wear them, they are programmed to merge my data with yours temporarily. Merging data permanently can be dangerous, so even if I know how to do it, I will not insert my data directly into you permanently. Therefore, as soon as you wear these cloaks, you will be safe. They come in different sizes and will stay with you, even changing their shape through your evolved stages.” Bastian placed the cloaks on the table and continued. “Each and every one of you must wear these cloaks during the whole time you’re inside the Dogma Tower. Their structure is unstable, so you can’t eat them, you can’t fuse them with your bodies. You must only wear them. Although they are extremely resistant, the moment you stop fully wearing it… it is likely the IDD program deletes you immediately.”Katherine scooted one of the robes through the table and wore it. The cloak had a hoodie that she could wear over her head, or simply left hanging. It covered her whole back, it was comfortable, although maybe not enough fashionable for her tastes. Jazz wore hers immediately, too. “Whoa! I look great!”While she finished up tying the knot around her neck, Katherine glared at the robot again. “Bastian…” She let out a sigh. “You said you are… 99% sure the IDD program can’t be rewritten. What about the other 1%?”“It is true I don’t see any way a program like that can be rewritten. It would require building the whole Dogma Tower from scratch which, thanks to the Portal Cube’s decryption I did, I know has not been done. This is one of the topics I have researched the most since I met you, whether it is possible to change the program so it does not consider my data as a non-threat.” The ex-chef answered. “But…” Her green eyes narrowed. “But… I cannot fully guarantee the Dark Army does not have someone more talented than me who has found out how to do it and erased my data from the registers the IDD programmed allows.”“So… There is a very slight, tiny chance that… as soon as we enter…” “… You are immediately deleted. Yes”A sepulchral silence invaded the table, at least on Katherine, Jazz, Boru and Fei’s side.

A shapeshifter capable of being the perfect doppelganger to just about anyone or anything she so wished. "That's...gonna be troublesome." Akemi could only offer that in reply, since it was up to Amy to come up with the secret word stuff. Hopefully it would come in handy when the time came to properly make use of it.
However, a simple trickster was rather...paltry compared to what Bastian had to tell them next. Instant data deletion as a mere security system? Yes, that was probably some insanely top notch security. "...So the cloaks are essentially disguises that...have a 1% chance of getting us all killed." Anzu noted. "Yeah, that doesn't sound scary at all." The sarcasm was pretty palpable, this sounded like it could all fail from the start.
Nonetheless, Kemi, Anzu and Nei all donned 3 of the black cloaks. Simple as they were, 2/3 of them found they were a bit too simplistic for their tastes, while Nei? Nei just likes it as a whole. No, really, the Bakumon looked super happy.
"So, in order to minimize the risk of the IDD detecting and deleting us, given the temporary nature of this...remedy, we should strive to work quickly." Akemi broke the silence. "It's like a plunge that we ultimately need to take, 1% risk or not. So, are we still doing this?"

Zu would prove to be quite the handful, wouldn't she? "It seems like the only thing we know for sure about her is that she's a female, when... we're honestly not even sure about that. In any case! I honestly doubt that, in most situations, she'll be able to grasp all our mannerisms and the way we act, which might help when the situation doesn't require quick thinking. But when it does?"
For a second, she made a small pause, the gears of her mind grinding in order to produce a Zu-proof question. It took her a bit, but she eventually came with a good enough solution. "Question will be any question that begin's with w and that doesn't make sense in the current context like 'what time is it?' or 'where were you born?' and the answer will be the first place where each the person who's asking the question and the person who's supposed to answer met. Then the second, and so on. Once you run out of places, we get back to the beginning and play the same pattern, but backward. It should be complex enough to make it unwieldy to copy, even after the first attempt."
There was also a small chance that it proved too complex for Katherine or Akemi to understand or remember, but better be safe than sorry, right? This method was pretty much unable to fail unless this Zu person knew what to expect, in which case... they were probably screwed.
If that had gotten everyone's approval, then Bastian would begin to explain what was the IDD Program, and why exactly they had to be careful around it when entering the dogma tower. "Permanent deletion, huh? That sounds like something I'd rather not risk if we can help it." Luckily, Bastian had already thought about the solution; it came in the form of a set of black cloaks that everyone had to do if they wanted to get in and out with their behinds intact. If that was a possibility, that is. It seemed that their small endeavor had a very small chance of failing right there and everyone just getting deleted due to the chance of there being somebody more talented than the Ballistamon. What about it?
Amelie donned a cloak as she shrugged. "I've taken chances that were a lot more likely to fail than that without batting an eye. Honestly, I'd be confident about this whole deal succeeding even if it was like, ten to twenty-five percent likely to fail, given its nature. Ninety-nine percent of the time, it works every time, right? Heck, I'd even say that our chances of dying against whatever lurks inside the tower is higher than one percent, so... if you wanna be afraid of that, of all things, I'd probably consider calling this thing off. It's not gonna work out."
Considering that Katherine and Jazz had engaged Luke in battle when their chances of losing were around one hundred percent and the pair was saved due to what was basically a miracle, one would thing than ninety-nine percent chances of succeeding would've been a pretty hopeful proposition. Were they really getting cold feet about this? Pretty unbelivable, all things considered.

The group had effectively discussed Amelie’s ideas. “While that idea has the downfall that Zu will probably notice we know it’s her if we’re asking her incoherencies, I can't think of a better method for our test to be impossible to mimic.” Fei remarked. “However, I would say it would be good if, once we discover it’s a fake through this method, we try to somehow explain the reason behind our odd questions. If we can trick Zu into believing she tricked us, that might avoid immediate confrontation if the moment is inadequate.” As usually, Fei made a lot of sense. As both Akemi and Amelie spoke, the expression of fear that had previously appeared in Katherine’s face slowly turned into a smile. It was a smile that, among other things, showed confidence. It was easy to be derailed by so many traps in their way. But her friends were right. For better or worse, there were a lot of other dangerous things waiting for them inside that tower. This was not going to be the reason why they backed out. “Thank you.” She nodded. “You’re absolutely right, Akemi, Amy.” Showing this same countenance, she looked at Bastian. “We’re going to go. Even if the chances of the IDD program terminating us were higher, we’d still go.” The teenager declared with a firm tone of voice. “That's the spirit!” Jazz and the rest of the digimon finished tightening up their cloaks. “Thanks for trusting in my work, everyone.” Although his robotic voice could not show any emotion, the meaning behind Bastian’s words showed that he had been touched. “Tell us about the tower, Bastian. We talked about the enemies we’ll find there. We talked about the program that will try to kill us. But I would like to know what kind of place it is.”“Yes, Misu.”THE DOGMA TOWER
“If the tower is anything as I remember, it is divided in three main parts. The training area, the research area, and the living area.
The training area composes more than half of the tower and it goes from the first to the fifth floor. This is where the Army trains. All members of the Army are obliged to a very strict training routine in this zone. The training stages in any floor change according to the army’s necessities, so be prepared for absolutely anything. I really can’t know what you’ll find in the first four floors. However, if I recall correctly, the fifth floor is a colosseum, where the Army members used to battle each other for training.
The research area is composed of a laboratory that covers floors number 6 and 7 and a prison floor that covers floor number 8.”“Prison..” Jazz muttered while sketching something in her papers. “I think it’s safe to assume your brothers might be somewhere in the research area, Misu.” Bastian stated, glancing at Jazz. “Finally, the living area covers floors number 9 and 10. This is where the members of the Army actually live. Unless he goes down to look for one of you, this is where you’re going to find Luke. I have heard there are more floors going up, but none except the Mighty Commanders are allowed to go in there.”“So that is the Dogma Tower.” Her arms folded, Katherine leaned against the table. “Do you know where are we going to land, Bastian?” With a preoccupied tone of voice, Fei addressed the robot. “Usually, the members of the Dark Army are able to program their Portal Cubes to decide in what floor they want to land each time they go into the tower. Since I had to decrypt our Portal Cube from the start, the cube lost that ability. Therefore, it is impossible to know. I imagine the tower will receive your data being transported into the tower and will distribute you along the lowers floors. If it can’t take all of you to the first floor at the same time, it will probably drop some of you by the second and third floor.”“It's done!” With both hands, Jazz pushed the piece of paper she had been working on forward, making it slide towards the center of the table for everyone to see. “W-Where did you get crayons?”“That is… surprisingly accurate, even if simple, Misu.” Bastian admitted. “H-Have you been practicing?”“What does the pink color mean, Jazz?” Fei asked the Cho-Hakkaimon, looking at the piece of paper. "I-I look... ugly in this..." “That’s where the lower floors are supposed to be. We don’t know what’s there but is where our faces are, because it’s where we’re going to land.” Confidently, the pig-girl nodded. “From there on, I sketched the colosseum, then the laboratories and everything on top of that.”This drawing really helped the scenario to be set, right? It was time to come up with a game plan and they'd be ready to go! Of course, questions were welcome and encouraged.

As strange as Amy's plan to deal with the shapeshifting menace that they were told of was...Akemi could more or less grasp what was expected of her and Anzu. "I'll try to commit that to memory, then." She replied. Fei's addition to the plan was also rather reasonable, though it'd depend on a lot of circumstances within the tower that they may not have complete control over.
Anywho...
"Precisely! Even if that thing was going to turn us into dust then we'd still go, because we've come this far, haven't we?" The girl directed that towards Katherine. It was pretty clear she was happy to see the Spaniard's confidence return once more! Of course, she had to quiet down in order for Bastian to deliver a rather complicated explanation of the overall layout of the tower. While Jazz...was drawing something? Anzu fluttered over near her to get a look at the drawing right when it was finished.
So, she only really needed about a second to make her final judgement. "It's not accurate or simple, it's PERFECT is what it is. Such majesty! Such colors!" ...Yeah, Anzu loved it, sure. "Okay, Anzu being a fangirl aside..." Akemi began, putting a hand on the table. "We need to come up with a plan to actually approach this, now that every detail we can think of's on the table. From what we learned via Goyi and Paul, dividing into two groups would be the ideal way to approach this...heist. One group distracts the Alpha Brigade, while the other goes for Jazz and Boru's brothers and Luke."
"Yeah, I have a question. Where the actual hell is the other help? That Titania lady that Miss Fei mentioned."
...Anzu, having a point? Shocking.

While Fei's words made a lot of sense, Amelie thought that beggars couldn't be choosers in a situation like this one. "I'm unsure of whether maintaining the ruse will prove to be a smart or productive thing to do." She noted. "While I agree on there being some kind of poetic justice by using Zu's own attempt at trickery against her, but I don't think that any of us would be able to act naturally in the face of somebody who we know could attack us at any moment, you know? At least I'd be on my toes if I knew an ambush would come in the least expected moment or as soon as an unforeseen situation presents itself. Wouldn't that be suspicious? I think it'd be like giving ourselves in a silver platter."
Good thing that the result of that conversation was mostly inconsequential, and that Katherine's own fears had been mostly held back by the girls' determination on following with this. What else was there to do? Not a lot that could be said about that, except a fierce smile that denoted companionship; the dark-haired female wasn't alone in this endeavor, and no matter how dangerous it seemed, Amy was determined for the group to prevail. Was there anything else anyone could ask for? Not really.
Thus, Bastian began to explain the layout of the tower and how it was mostly divided into three parts. It seemed like a neat and very informative description, and had managed to deliver the point. Especially coupled with Jazz's rather... crude drawing. Somehow, the brunette doubted that was an actual representation of the whole place, but... the morale boost is what counted, right?
"I'd say that you're an amazing artist, Jazz. If you ever become bored with the Digital World, you could just become a prolific artist in Japan. You'd get rich pretty much instantly!"
With all the explanations out of the way, it seemed like they were going to get to the nitty-gritty of it. "Two groups?" While an adequate plan, could they really afford to do that. "We're fighting against one ultimate-level at least. You sure you want to weaken our forces when any group risks running into them? I'm not so sure of that, honestly. Can we really afford that luxury?"
That was a very good question. Amelie herself wasn't afraid of Luke, but what about the rest? And most importantly; did any group really stand a chance against him while separated? That seemed like a farfetched proposition, unless they had prepared for that eventually. "Oh, and one last question. Can we destroy the tower once we're done with it?"
At least for her, that was the most important question!

While the group kept talking about the different approaches they had to take for each part of this heist, conflicting ideas kept arising. That was good. It meant everyone wanted to have the best plan possible. The one that had the biggest chances of succeeding.
"It is true staying next to a deadly enemy for long might turn out badly." Fei remarked after listening to Amelie. "I think we can't come to a general agreement on this. If the situation is inconvenient, considering the amount of power Zu has, going along with the lie might be a good thing. Considering the other alternative is letting her know we know she's trying to trick us and she just kills us where we stand." Sounding ice-cold, Katherine dropped a statement that definitely put an interesting point of view on the table. "However, if we don't feel convinced she really bought our lie, then it probably is a bad idea to try to keep faking it."
"Whoever is the target of Zu must decide when is the right moment to face her, once they had discovered it is her trying to trick us." That did sound like the most acceptable option.
"Y-You really think so?" Jazz was shocked someone had received her drawings so well. Even she knew she was no artist. The hog actually looked at Anzu like questioning she was even speaking about her drawings. "Rich?" She then glanced at Amelie, who had thrown some more compliments. Maybe even Jazz knew her drawings weren't that good! Not that she had much interest in being rich. Not to say she didn't have any.
Regarding the rest of Amelie's opinion, Bastian started by her last question, just because of how crazy it sounded. Destroying the tower!?
"W-What do you think is going to be the result of this, Misu?" If Amelie was imagining them in an outcome that was so ridiculously favorable where they could actually take the time to destroy the tower, Katherine could only assume she had a huge ace up her sleeve.
"Well... Yes. You are allowed to destroy the tower. Assuming you get the chance of doing something like that... Which I honestly don't see how it could happen." The robot admitted. "You have, however, taken me by surprise in more than one occassion, so I would not put it past you."
Tackling the matter about splitting...
"Well, that's a good point. However, I understand our plan is to avoid fighting as much as possible, right?" Fei noted, throwing a question Bastian and Katherine's way. "That's right." A nod from Katherine. "If we were building up a plan assuming we're going to fight as many enemies as we can, sticking together would probably be the way to go. But since we know that would get us killed before even reaching Luke, I think our best plan to actually get to the Valkyrimon is splitting. I would say the luxury we can't afford is actually fighting all of them." She explained.
"According to Bastian, there is a brigade entirely dedicated to protecting the tower. Even if we fight that whole brigade as a group, I would say our chances of winning are scarce. We need a group to raise their attention and get them out of the way, maybe running from them or forcing them to look for the members. Then, the other group will have fewer obstacles and will reach Luke. If everything works the way it should, the Dark Army won't even know there is a second group besides the group that is working as a decoy." That was Fei's input on it.
With everyone listening carefully, Boru only went to say something once Katherine and Fei were done. "B-But... That means the group working as a Decoy will be in danger all of the time."
"That is absolutely right." Bastian noted. "And that is why we must build each group thinking throughoutly about the advantages and disadvantages of each of its members. The group working as a decoy must be composed of specialists in running away, hiding, deceiving, prolonging fights and enduring heavy damage."
"While the group going for Koru and Roru and then going for the Zoid Gems must..." Boru started an idea that Fei finished. "Basically be composed of those who have any idea on how to defeat Luke or take the gems away from him." The Lekismon remarked.
So, before they formed these groups, clarifying where actually were the rest of their allies was a good thing to do. That's why Anzu's question was fitting.
“Right. You asked me for their contact information because you had a special task for them, didn't you, Bastian?” Quirking an eyebrow, Fei turned to look at the robot.
Without fretting, he answered. “Yes. Agner, Sonia and Titania are in charge of reducing the number of enemies you will have to face inside the tower.” Naturally, these words needed to be explained further. “As I told you before, the Delta Brigade is usually traveling around the Digital World, whether they are sent on special missions or just exploring and collecting data for the Army.”
“But… by having a Portal Cube they could be inside the tower in a matter of seconds, no matter where they are.” Jazz seemed to be getting a grasp of what the robot tried to explain.
“The only way to avoid this is to install a Portal Jammer. To put it simply, the Dogma Tower can only exist by having a tiny piece of its data tied to a single spot in our plain of the Digital World. The jammer must be installed exactly in that spot, in order for it to avoid anyone can Portal Cube into the Dogma Tower while we’re inside.”
“That guarantees we are only going to be fighting the enemies that are already inside when we arrive.” Fei contributed. "We're basically going in and closing the door behind us."
“It does sound like a very valuable help…” Boru mused about the place that bonded the tower to this world. “Where is that place, Bastian?”
“It’s actually inside of Terminus.” A sort of melancholic ring could be felt in Bastian’s voice, regardless of how robotic it was. “The place you saw in that photograph Titania found. That’s the spot where Kuma, Paul, Goyi and I spent time when we didn’t want to be at the tower. It's a simple apartment in an old building downtown. No one except for the members of the Army knows about it, therefore it has barely any security. However, since that is practically the only guaranteed fight, I decided to send Titania there, knowing she is one of our strongest fighters, according to Fei." Apparently, that part of the group was already contributing to the development of the whole mission. "I hope you don’t mind, Missu.” The robot looked at Katherine, knowing he had taken a decision without consulting the ‘leader’ of this whole operation.
“That’s okay. You had already told me you were planning to give them a special task.” Katherine shook her head, dismissing the robot’s worries. “So once we enter, you will give tell them to activate the jammer, right?”
“Yes. Since it is possible the Army find out sooner or later they’re there, I believe they should stay there for as long as they can, making sure the jammer works." Another good reason to keep Titania in that group, then. Just in case a fight broke loose inside the apartment. "In case things go too bad inside the tower, I gave them a smaller Portal Cube, so you might get some reinforcements eventually.” That sounded excellent. Well, as excellent as it could sound.
“I feel no one knows us better than ourselves. While I personally feel Amelie should go with the Decoy Group, since she has the highest level of endurance, I will let you decide how we should split between the Decoy Group and the Rescuing Group.” Katherine stated, giving a name to both groups for clarification. “Since we know the Zoid Gems a little bit better, I think Jazz and I should go with the Rescuing Group.”
“Let's see...” Fei started, looking at Boru and sounding pensive. Where did they want to go? “I feel my healing skills will be much needed in the Decoy Group, so that is probably my place to be.”
“And since Minervamon is my strongest form...” Jazz stood up to throw in her own opinion. “… Anzu and Akemi should go with Jasso and I, too.”
Of course, this was only a preliminary sketch. The discussion about how to split each group was the most important so far, so the input of the rest of the group was very much necessary!

Sincerely thinking on the matter...Amy again had a good point. It would be difficult to act naturally while knowing that there was an imposter among them. So, they really would likely have no choice but to go with the lie. Which was troubling...Kinda. More importantly, though...
"Yes! Why would I say that if I didn't think it to be the truth? The art's so pretty!" ...It seemed as though Jazz had earned herself the worst kind of fangirl to ever exist. The Anzu kind. Akemi meanwhile had to keep herself focused on the division of the people present into groups. "So the help you requested is it's own group?" She inquired towards Bastian. Otherwise...
The group going for the brothers should be experts in holding attention, while the group going for the Zoid Gems needed to be capable of putting up one hell of a fight. In addition, the help (comprising of the people Bastian just mentioned) would be ensuring no reinforcements could arrive.
"I don't see any issues with how we're arranging the teams thus far. I've got cards to lend support to the Gem Group with--Plus, Minervamon. Amy, any objections? We need to put what we're bringing on the table so we can actually...make some headway with these teams. Anzu's able to take a beating and dish one out that's even more severe than the one she just took, for example. And that's outside of Minervamon..."
...Hm. "Jazz, you can heal in your perfect form, right? Or am I mistaken?" It seemed as though Akemi was taking this seriously!

Good thing that Amy's thoughts were given credit by Katherine. Like, she understood that there was a saying that went 'Keep your allies close, and your enemies closer', but if their enemy was somebody supposedly somebody both stronger than them and quite possibly, murderous at the drop of a hat if she thought they hadn't bought the act. In the end, however, Fei's conclusion managed to directly hit the heart of the matter.
"I guess that's acceptable as well; there's a myriad of situations in which we could face this person, and it's impossible to account for them all. The best we can do is trust the... 'victim's' judgment, so to say. I wish we could be more prepared for that kind of eventuality but... there's not a lot we can do, frankly. Just hope for the best and be quick on our wits."
With that topic behind, Amelie proceeded to nod fiercely at Jazz's question."Yup. I can recognize talent when I see it! You just need some practice and dedication, and you'll eventually become a great artist!" She nodded once again at the mention of being rich. Prolific artists pretty much swam in money, didn't they? Hopefully, Jazz wouldn't end up drawing 18+ drawings for thirsty young adults with too much money on their hands. That was a fate worse than death.
Her gaze shifted to Bastian; somebody had to be the confident member of the group, right? Considering Katherine had gotten doubtful about something that hadn't even been that big of a deal all along, what was wrong on somebody trusting the chances at the whole endeavor being successful? In the brunette's mind, none.
"We're going to be successful, of course. Rule one of choosing your fights is not engaging unless you're pretty sure you can win, y'know? Else, I wouldn't be here. I don't do suicide missions, not even for friends." She then grinned confidently; her every word denoted that she was more than ready to face whatever would be thrown at her. That was the correct mindset to have, right? "I don't think we'll end up destroying the tower either, but it doesn't hurt to ask if we can given the situation presents itself. Maybe there was something important over there, or maybe we wanted to avoid structural damage because it'd desestabilize the pocket dimension around the Dogma Tower, or what do I know. Plenty of reasons it might be a bad idea and all that stuff. But since there isn't... I'll have it in mind in case the opportunity arises."
While she still wasn't a fan of splitting forces in case the worst happened, there wasn't much to be done about her own opinion. Splitting had its merits; it's just that it wasn't her style. But then again, she wasn't in charge. "Fair enough. I just hope that splitting works. I personally dislike the fact that we're on the side that has the least amount of fighting prowess, but this wasn't never meant to be a direct confrontation, I guess. Let's hope your plan works."
Being a decoy wasn't as fancy as it sounded for sure, but it'll have to do. Had it been up to her, Amy would've messed with the Dark Army more thoroughly, but there wasn't a lot more that could be done. All in all, it was a good thing that she'd have a decent degree of autonomy while acting as a decoy. Had she accepted the role already? Seemed like it!
"Yeah, me being a decoy makes sense. I can probably mess with whoever will come to pick at us very handily, even if they outnumber us by a fair bit. I'm down."
Jazz and Anzu remaining together made sense, since they were jogress partners and they had to use every resource they had available to be succesful in this endeavor, so far, so good...
"No complaints at all over here. Plan seems well-oiled and ready to go. I'm pretty much waiting for the moment we intrude." After a small pause, her expression changed a bit as she gave the Ballistamon a look. "Mind if I get one or two additional cloaks, just in case? I think I got an idea.."
What did she have in mind? No way to know.
