With everyone more or less on the same page, it seemed like the moment of taking off was almost here. Meanwhile, Katherine just stared at Amy while her friend agreed on being part of the Decoy Group. Thinking about the day at the beach, she started remembering everything Amy was capable of. Probably one of the most amazing fighters she will ever encounter, honestly. Then, why was she letting her go as a decoy? It was clear if someone had the highest chances of defeating Luke it was the blue-eyed. The answer to that would probably be related to the new Katherine that had been born during the last months. Someone who was willing to fight her own battles if she had to. Someone who prioritized others’ safety instead of her own. Someone who took responsibility for her own actions. She had started this, and she was going to end it while keeping everyone safe. Putting Amy in the Gems Group would probably be good for the mission at the cost of endangering everyone else, and she was not going to let that happen “Sounds like a plan.”
The curly-haired teenager’s train of thought was interrupted by Cass, who was now back. “Y-You heard everything?” She turned to look at the owl, quirking an eyebrow. “You wouldn’t think I’m going to let information slip in my own home, Mrs. Jasso.” He giggled before extending one of his legs towards the girl. His foot was clenching on a gadget that he later dropped on her palm. “That’s for you.”“This looks… Like a children’s toy.” She muttered, staring at the violet and sea-blue object in her hands, which bestowed a slightly different shape than her previous digivice. It actually… brought back memories. When she found her digivice, she looked at the catalog of a toy company to see if they had something similar. “It’s your digivice. I just… improved it by installing new software. I’ve seen many digivices change shapes when such improvement happens, I guess it’s somehow based on the connection you and Mrs. Jazz have.” Cass noted, staring at the device too. Meanwhile, Katherine lifted it up to eye level to look at it closely. She figured Cass was going to improve her digivice, she just didn't expect it to look like this. “This is an improved version of a D-Arc. With this, you should be able to convey your emotions towards Mrs. Jazz more effectively and improve your whole performance. You’ll also be able to use this.” With his other foot, the owl dropped a deck of cards inside a sleeve. “You better try those when you get the chance.” “It's almost time to go, Misu.” Bastian declared, calling Katherine to the center of the room. Everyone seemed to have put on their cloaks already. “Y-Yes!” She nodded before taking some steps towards the group. Before she kept walking, she turned to look at the owl again. “Thank you, Cass.”“Don’t mention it. I'm just being a good friend for Reiki. And maybe a good fan, too.”“A… fan?” Was Cass really a fan of them? Welp, no time to think about that! “Here they are, Misu.” Bastian extended two more cloaks towards Amelie. “What do you need this for?” He asked. “Once the Portal Cube is activated, whoever you want to go with you must enter the portal in the next 10 seconds. Once the portal closes, I don’t think there's any way of getting into the Dogma Tower.” Did Amelie have someone she wanted to invite to this? It was almost a known fact that Nei was going with the Decoy group. Everyone knew his skills were related to deceiving and tricking, so there was not a better place for him. Katherine crouched and caressed the Bakumon’s skull. “Take care, okay? Keep close to Amy and try to help her however you can.”“What about you, Boru?” Jazz asked while the Psychemon fixed the cloak on his back. “Huh…” The pelted digimon lowered his gaze for a moment. “… while I would love to go with you to help Koru and Roru, I feel I can work better with a bigger group.” He noted. “Feishi and I have been practicing some special technique together so I should stay with her. We also decided Mrs. Amelie should be the leader of our group.”Showing the same defiant glare that she used to have when she was the boss of Jazz’s bandits, back in Rustport, the Cho-Hakkaimon looked at her brother. “You better do a good job, or Empress Jazz won’t forgive you!”“S-Sir, yes, sir!”With this, each team seemed to have been assembled: - Led by Katherine, Gem Group consisted of Jazz, Akemi, and Anzu.
- Led by Amelie, Decoy Group consisted of Amelie, Boru, Fei, Nei and… whoever Amelie was calling, probably.
- Led by Titania, Jamming Group consisted of Agner and Sonia
Bastian took out his D-Terminal and called the Jamming Group. “Misu, can you hear me?” In what situation could the fairy be right now? Meanwhile, everyone at Cass’ home started reuniting around the Portal Cube. They were almost ready to depart!

In such a scenario, all one really -could- do was trust the judgement of whoever was victim to Zu. Akemi could meanwhile only nod at Fei and Amy, before her attention was drawn once more to Jazz's (questionable?) drawing. She tried, at the very least. The pig-girl tried. "Yeah, just practice a little more and maybe you can make Kath look as cute in a drawing as she actually does." The girl murmured.
Anzu, meanwhile, did nod in agreement with Amy. "Despite all these percentages saying something might go horribly wrong, we should be able to execute this well enough if we pick our fights and stick to the plan. Even if it were a suicide mission, I'd be okay with blowing up half the damn tower in the process, too. Though, I don't think I'll be doing that."
Taking a look at the finished D-Arc...Akemi nodded. "Most Digivices look like that. I think it looks cute, though. Interesting pairing of colors." Plus, it actually looked better than her own Digivice, which was a pearly white, with purple highlights. And a purple screen, too.
Otherwise, it seemed as though they were all ready, with Akemi, Anzu and Nei being content with how the teams were being placed. The three went to where they needed to go, while Bastian made a rather notable call. Meanwhile, with the Jamming Group...
A stranger clad in a bunny hoodie stood within a rather simple apartment, with a Shutumon (or Zephyrmon, they were really able to be called either) accompanying her. In addition, Sonia and Agner were present. The fight to get into the Apartment ended quickly, especially considering Titania had actually gotten -stronger- since her adventure with Boru.
The Shutumon received a call on her D-Terminal, and took it out to answer. "Hey! We're at the place, and ready to act. Uh...We might've been a bit delayed in getting here because I had to tell my daughter that she couldn't come with. Otherwise, the whole thing was a cinch."
Despite the minimum security, it seemed like the group got here without a problem, so...What precisely did they need to do from here?

Eventually, Cass came back. Did Katherine really not expect for the owl to have heard the brunt of their plan? When he was basically somebody who had informants across most of the world, to not know what happens on the insides of his very home? That seemed like a naive way of thinking, and that was, to say the least.
"It might not be our finest plan, but in a situation like this one, it will have to do." Getting ready for engaging into such a dangerous mission thus far hadn't been all that exhausting; sure, there had been some arguments here and there, but overall it seemed like everyone had come to terms with what had to be done, and what were the risks involved in such a mission. That was what everyone ought to do, right? In any case... it seemed like the next thing the group was going to witness was an 'it's dangerous to go alone...' moment between Katherine and Cass. It seemed like the group had gotten yet another resource in their arsenal, just in case things got dicey. That was good to know!
"You're implying that your previous digivice didn't look like a toy, you know?" The brunette couldn't avoid commenting, all while doing her best to suppress a snicker. "Nobody asked me, but I'd say that it's fitting with your personality. Especially considering that you just became a card gamer thanks to Cass; ain't that nice? Now you and Akemi can trade spares and stuff! A nice activity to bond over, right?"
Pity they couldn't follow with that activity, at least for now. Time was of the essence, right? Everyone was ready to go, and Bastian was already prompting everyone to hurry up. That was a good thing; keeping the bad guys waiting was poor manners, anyway.
At least Bastian seemed to have been pretty cooperative with her request. That was a good thing! Gingerly, the young woman took the cloaks within her hands, then smiled at the Ballistamon. "Duly noted. I'll make sure everyone enters in time. Don't worry about that one."
Naturally, it seemed like she had been deemed as the leader of her own group? Surprising? Not in the slightest. Inconvenient? Just a bit. "It's gonna be a pain to lead anyone with any semblance of accuracy after I evolve, but you can be sure I'm gonna do my best at commanding the group."
With that said... the only thing left was for the jamming group to be contacted, so Amelie took those moments to excuse herself and deliver that cloak to its prospective owner. Surely, she'd be back in time for the time everyone decided to open the portal cube.

Thinking the members of the group wouldn’t meet with their peers again at some point in this endeavor would be a bit naïve. More than likely, the mess of this battle would take them to reunite again, and that was fine, even if not ideal.
“Since we don’t know at what part of the Dogma Tower we’re going to pop-up, the best thing the members of the groups can do is hold onto each other.” Fei concluded, looking at the members of the Decoy Group, especially at their leader. “That way, maybe we can increase the chances of it sending all of the members of our group to the same place.” And that sounded like a plan.
“We should do the same.” Jazz nodded, looking at Anzu and Akemi.
Meanwhile, Katherine inspected her digivice, getting feedback from her two best friends. “A card gamer…” She muttered, looking at the sleeve full of cards. Was she supposed to do… that thing Amelie did? Shaking her head, she responded to the compliments coming from the girls. “… Thank you. Now I think it doesn’t look so bad.” If they liked it, it couldn’t be that hideous, right?
“T-That’s okay.” If he could, Bastian would have sweat-dropped at the fairy’s statement. “The other two groups are about to enter the building. I already explained to them everything I explained to the three of you earlier.” He noted. “Please have the card I sent to you ready, Misu. I also sent you a card reader to process the card, but if your tamer has a D-Arc, that will probably get the job done faster.” It seemed like D-Arcs were already the gadget to have! “When I say the word, just have your tamer slash the card and the jammer will activate. After that, it is your job to hold that position and protect that jammer for as long as you can.”
Among her belongings, Titania did have a special card. It had a dark-red color and small blue squares of data painted all over. Nothing else.
Well, no time to lose!
Once Amelie was back and if everyone was wearing their cloaks, Boru and Fei held each other’s hand, while they also extended their hands for the rest to hold them. Once the portal was open, the Decoy Group would advance together into the gate, all the five of them making contact with each other. That seemed like their best bet to remain together!
Bastian would extend his arm, holding the portal cube and tap it twice. “Let’s go.” He stated. Once the gadget started vibrating, the robot placed it on the floor. From its core, a portal, much like the ones a regular digivice could create, deployed upwards. In this case, they couldn’t see what was waiting on the other side, which was… definitely not encouraging.
Katherine and Jazz issued a firm nod towards the Decoy Group, who should go first. Once they had entered, and before any other member of the Gem Group could do anything, Jazz’s voice got to their ears. “Okay…”
The Cho-Hakkaimon tightly wrapped her arms around Akemi and Katherine, holding them and pressing their body against her much larger frame.
“... Let's... "
“Eek!” Katherine squealed loudly when her partner started running.
"...GO!”
Surprising? Not really. The pig-girl charged forward, running right into the gate. Anzu should get on top of that head immediately, they were going in!
Before they noticed, Bastian and Cass were alone on the second floor of the owl’s house. The portal remained there, open, the streams of data circling around the gate. If anyone that hadn’t gone in earlier was planning to enter the Dogma Tower, they should actually go in right now, before the portal closed itself!

"It looks striking in a good way. I'd suggest taking a good look at what those cards do--I had to learn how they worked in the middle of a fight, and that..." Akemi trailed off briefly. Though that fight was a literal bloodbath that ended in Anzu's favor, it was a headache and a half due to how zealous both combatants were at taking each other down a peg. "That wasn't pleasant." She concluded, still staring at the D-Arc with a smile.
...It looked like a toy but it still looked pretty cute.
And with any luck, they'd have that same zeal on their side during this endeavor. "Good call!" Anzu stated in agreement with Fei. "Ideally we want to minimize the risk of getting separated. Sooner we get started with this, the better it'll go, right?"
Plus, getting separated after teleporting somewhere was an unfortunate trope she kept seeing in the JRPGs she played. That was more than annoying, imagine that happening in this, the heist of the century! That'd be embarrassing! "...Try your best, Amy." was all Akemi had to say to that last statement that the frenchwoman made.
"Ah. Right." Naoko could be heard over the D-Terminal. "Yeah, we do have that card you gave us ready, so...I guess we're waiting on your signal, Bastian." This was probably the first time anyone present who's name was not Amelie Saboro had ever heard Toriya Naoko over anything, so...That might be jarring.
"What she said." Titania added on, quite simply. They were prepared to swipe the card and start the jamming the moment they received that signal, with the fairy handing the card and the reader over to the bunny hoodie-clad girl. Now it was just a matter of waiting.
Meanwhile, back at the planning room proper, Anzu seemed to know what Jazz was about to do, so she scrambled onto the head of the pig-girl. "Hey, hey!" Akemi stated in (feeble and useless) protest, "Jazz, you crazed hog, you're crushing me! Be careful with Kath, holy shi-"
Anzu was oddly silent, going in.
...And with that? They were gone. What lay on the other side? That was anybody's guess! Meanwhile, Nei simply floated over to Amelie, glancing up at the French spirit wielder. "...We should get going too. On your word, boss." The young rookie uttered. He wasn't sure what he was getting into, but he felt prepared regardless.

Luckily, Amelie's journey wouldn't take her long; five minutes afterward, she was back and already wearing her cloak! Besides her was a mostly shadowy, yet shorter figure hidden under its cloak as well. The new person's visage was mostly hidden beneath it, but if one looked hard enough, they could make out a series of rather long, dark purple locks of hair. Other than that, it seemed like this new member of the team was kinda mysterious!
"Aight guys, this is Hana! She helped me get my Beast Spirit back in the day, and we've been friends ever since. She's a bit shy, but she's a good girl. Hope you won't mind if she tags along."
A raised hand waved at everyone present, even if the motions denoted a degree of nervousness. Not a lot that could be done about that, though. At least she seemed to be ready and willing to participate into whatever strange business her friend had dragged her into. Oh well.
"She already knows how the whole deal works, so we can save us the explanations. Guess it's time to go, isn't it?" The brunette smiled fiercely at the rest of the decoy group; it showed that she was more than ready to engage whatever was on the other side. Nei was right, and thus she began to held hands with Hana at first, and then with the rest of the group.
"Ready or not, it's time for us to go."
If everything worked out as it was supposed to do, the group would run towards the portal and enter moments after the first group did. Guess it was time for the whole plan to be put into motion.

After some very brief introductions, the group had departed. The portal had closed and only Bastian and Cass remained in the room. Almost in unison, they let out a sigh. It didn’t matter if they were ready or not anymore, this mission had begun.
Those who had entered the portal, even if they had gone in separated groups, would experience similar sensations. A bright light blinded all of their senses and they held no notion of themselves for around half a minute. It was definitely not as uncouth as being unconscious, but there was definitely discomfort involved. That blinding light would eventually go away and find itself replaced by the murkiness of a room. The Decoy Group was spread laying across the floor. None of them was hurt, no pain or any other strange sensation on them. They were… alive, which meant the IDD program had not erased them. But… were they inside the Dogma Tower? Upon inspecting the space around them by using the scarce moonlight going through the window, Fei would notice this was a quite roomy environment. It looked like… the insides of a living room, not too different from the one they were in some minutes ago, just… very less illuminated than Cass’ library. Along with the Lekismon, the rest of the members would be up and ready to move immediately. “It’s dark outside.” It was Boru’s voice the first to break the silence inside the room. The Psychemon seemed concerned while looking through the window. “I don’t feel like we were asleep for long.” “I don’t think we were asleep at all.” Fei fixed that statement for her disciple. “We have no reason to think time works the same inside of… this place as it does in our world. We’re definitely not in Terminus anymore.” Even if what laid beyond the window was a fairly industrialized landscape, it was clear this was not the metropolis they had come from. The buildings were a lot smaller, the streets and vehicles were something probably only Amy would recognize, considering its similarities with the human world. Lights outside were not abundant, so any further details of the city were not easy to see from the two-story building they were on. “There is a city inside the Dogma Tower?” “I wouldn’t be too surprised, considering what Bastian said.”
Before their conversation could go on further, the sound of steps reached their ears. “This way.” Something that intended to be a whisper could be heard coming from down the street, right below the window they were looking through some seconds ago. A group of four shadowy figures was running through the back alley. Being led by one, the group stopped around the backdoor of the building right in front of the one the Decoy Group was currently occupying, positioning themselves strategically to enter, almost as if they were in some type of gangster raid. “What are those…?” Boru’s question was interrupted by the sound of one of these figures kicking the door open. In less than a second, bursts of gunshots had plagued the environment. The light issued by each of the rounds shot by the four gangsters revealed their appearance to the group watching through the window. Whatever was inside that warehouse, these Astamon seemed to be trying to kill it. Although the possibility of Katherine and the rest of her group being in there crossed Fei’s mind for a second, this idea was quickly dismissed by two Cerberumon jumping out of the targeted warehouse and right towards two of the Astamons. The other two who weren’t being devoured by the beasts tried to fend them off, only to be forced to dodge bursts of yellow energy coming from inside the building, being shot by something the Decoy Group couldn’t quite see from their position. What in the world was going on!? The sound of someone opening a door on the floor below probably indicated some of these gangsters were looking for refuge from the counterattack in the building the Decoy Group was occupying right now. “With such a commotion happening right next to us, not like I was expecting we wouldn’t end up involved somehow.” Two spheres of purple energy lightened up around Fei’s hands. “What are your orders, leader?” She glanced at Amelie for a second. “Hey. Misu. Can you hear me? Please answer if you do.” It was at that moment when Amelie would hear Bastian’s voice coming from her digivice. “What’s the situation?” Good. It seemed like they still had some communication with the robot.
Katherine had received more or less the same message coming from the Ballistamon. The curly-haired girl was dusting herself up after appearing on the floor of a lonelier and definitely less frenzy alley. Compared to the one right next to Amelie and the others, everything was a haven. The apparent "peace" around the Gem Group probably indicated they were quite far from the Decoy Group, which was probably not a bad thing. “We can hear you, Bastian.” The green-eyed whispered while extending her hand to help Akemi stand up. Her windows trailed off to look at Jazz, who was, with Anzu on her head, peeking to see the street outside. “It’s like… a city, out here. It doesn’t look like Terminus, though.” The hog whispered. “I don’t see any human or digimon walking on the street, but I still can hear noises coming from the buildings. What is this place?” She wondered. “We’re in some type of city." Katherine reported to the robot . "It looks quite massive. I assume it's one of the floors of the Dogma Tower. I wonder which one, though.” The teenager looked down at her own body and let out a sigh in relief. “We seem to be in one piece… which means we probably avoided the IDD program.” That was a good thing. You know, being alive and all of that.

As it turns out, Jazz just rushing into the proverbial fray proved to be a far more disorienting experience for Akemi than anything the Amaya could ever have anticipated from this. Essentially, she was deprived of a good amount of sensory functions for half a minute, and that half a minute was agonizing as the chance that they could've been killed instantly was ever present. As Akemi and Anzu gathered themselves, the former gladly took Kath's hand to help her stand up, before she opted to dust the spaniard off herself.
Hopefully she'd give her that same courtesy, it wasn't nice being so dirty.
"I know the tower was supposed to be huge, but...This is less a tower and more a fortress. A super advanced one the likes of which you only hear about in legends..." Anzu glanced around and murmured that to herself. This place was...huge. Which begged the question of...how big were the other floors?
"We definitely did...I'm happy about that. Means we can do our thing." Akemi nodded a few times. "I think we should try figuring out where we are first before we start moving..." Akemi went to go and look out at the street outside, waving Kath along. What would Akemi herself see? What sort of buildings were there?
"...This is pretty dark--Shadowform might be effective here..." The girl muttered to herself. "Kath, anything stand out to you?"

This experience gave Amy one more reason to never try acid in her life; this trip hadn't been pleasant at all, but at least it hadn't involved an ultimely end.
So, where had the decoy group landed? Apparently, everyone was in the same place, which was both a good way to check that everyone was more or less fine, and also a pretty convenient outcome; organizing the party like this would be pretty easy, even if... it'd require some quick thinking. It wasn't hard to observe that a pretty interesting situation was afoot.
"It's a group of Astamon. And, apparently... they're on the backfoot on a fight that involves a group of Cerberumon, despite the former raiding the building where the latter were located." Hana relayed in a matter-of-factly tone; her eyes were set on the scene that was unfolding and that soon would reach their own location. "Intriguing. We should get ready fast; the ruckus is nearing our location, and its ETA is fairly soon. What's the plan, Amy?"
That probably would've answered Borus' questions, while also reinforcing Fei's request for leadership. The brunette took a deep breath before she began to speak. "We're remaining out of this conflict until we can learn what's it about; whether its a rebellion in the ranks of the Dark Army or some kind of revolutionary group trying to overthrow them, information is key. Once we can discern what's happening, we'll move to act in a more concise manner."
For now, it'd be time to observe; there would be plenty of fighting in the future, so jumping at the first opportunity without actually knowing what was going on would be beyond reckless.
The judgment was taken just in time for Bastian to Pipe in through the communication. Quite convenient! "Bastian. The whole decoy group is safe and sound; we've arrived to a warehouse of sorts and are currently witnessing how two groups are fighting against each other. Do you have anything on what might be causing this? We're gonna observe the situation and then act accordingly; we're preparing to hide. Send the necessary information to Fei or Hana; I'm evolving."
As ring of fractal code promptly enveloped Amy's hand, she gestured for everyone to draw closer. After slashing it through her D-Tector, her visage was replaced by Heraldmon's. Everyone in direct contact with the aberration would then turn invisible.
I don't know how effective this will be, so keep yourselves in high alert; the more we can go undetected, the more we can assess the situation. It's going to be an invaluable edge going forward.
Not the most exciting entrance, but it seemed like the Cerberumons and Astamons had that one covered in spades.

Although the scenery was similar for both the Gem and the Decoy Group, they didn’t seem to be particularly close to each other. Both coalitions would start moving towards their individual objectives. Bastian seemed to have copied all of the information and delivered a reply that was addressed to both groups. “I understand. I am receiving reports from the Decoy Group about two bands fighting each other, while the Gem Group describes the landscape as some type of city. It seems like you landed on the same floor, although quite separated from one another. The description of the conflict seems to match some of the knowledge I have about one of the lower floors, but I will see if I can launch a silent probe through one of your digivices to actually determine what’s going on. For now, be careful and report any other finding.
Oh, by the way: I have also determined the two groups are not able to communicate with one another, although I can communicate with both. I will try to fix that too.”
“Right. We’ll keep you posted, Bastian.” Fei replied through her own D-Terminal before turning towards Hana and Amy, who had provided their own pieces of input on the matter. Boru nodded firmly. “Staying out of sight sounds like the best. Nei, can you help us with that?” The Psychemon was much aware of the Bakumon’s skills when it came to deception. All of this occurred as the number of voices in the floor down below -which had been occupied by the initially attacking gang- increased. Apparently, they had gotten reinforcements somehow. However, Amy had taken the first step and was evolving already. For Boru and Fei, who knew the human was capable of turning into a digimon but were unaware of her potential forms, this was quite the spectacle! Master and disciple scooted towards Heraldmon to take advantage of her invisibility. The problem? Amy’s new form kept growing and growing! Before Boru could wonder how big this thing actually was, the monster had already destroyed the upper part of the building, which obviously raised the attention of the Astamons downstairs. “W-What was that!?” One of them asked out-loud while more gunshots could be heard. The gangsters seemed to be shooting at the outsides of the house, where the Cerberumon tried to surround the hideout they had chosen. “Go check immediately!” One of them ordered. In a matter of seconds, two of the Astamon had gone up the stairs to find the roof of the building completely obliterated, debris and dust floating all over the place. “What the…?” Among the dust, the members of the Decoy Group could see the Astamons had raised their arms immediately, looking for the responsible behind this chaos. “What’s wrong!?” One of them asked from downstairs while the clash with the beasts continued. “The roof… it got destroyed. B-But… there’s nothing in here.” The invisibility seemed to be working smoothly! The Decoy Group as a whole, however, would have to remain immobile to be unnoticed. Luckily, the fuzz happening outside should be enough to keep them off the radar. “There's no time. Let’s go!” The promptness of the situation didn’t allow the pair to examine the cause of this mess. The two Astamons went down immediately, leaving the Decoy Group and the enormous Heraldmon alone on the second floor once again. “It worked…” Fei thought, communicating with the rest through Heraldmon’s skill. The clash continued down below and the Decoy Group had managed to stay out of it for the time being thanks to Heraldmon’s invisibility. So what now? “Understood,” Katherine replied with a nod while she dusted Akemi off, her green eyes trailing down for a second to find the petite girl’s hat on the ground. She crouched to pick it up. “We should focus on finding our way towards the next floor. But… I can only wonder where might that be. I can't imagine it'll be easy to find with the city being this big.” She concluded in a whisper while placing the hat on her best friend’s head and tilting her head to show her a smile. Not long after, Akemi went to check their surroundings for herself. Right to the opposite side of Jazz, she peeked to examine the street outside the alley where they had popped up. “S-Shadowform?” Katherine asked while checking the cards inside the sleeve Cass had given to her, once Akemi explained she was actually talking about one of those. “Oh. I have that one.” She stared at the card, holding it delicately with her right hand. “Yes. This might work when ne-““Eek!” Although not very loud, Jazz’s squeal would interrupt Katherine’s statement. “Huh!?” Katherine quirked an eyebrow, turning immediately towards her partner, who had… a cat on her head! The creature, determined to scratch Jazz’s helmet, seemed to be uttering some words. “I got you, Humanoid! Take this!” Although she didn’t seem to be causing great harm on the pig-girl, the Cho-Hakkaimon did seem pretty freaked out by having a beast jumping on her out of nowhere like that. “G-Get--- her off-- me!”The Mikemon’s Ambush wouldn’t last for long, though. Just some seconds after the attack began, Jaenryu popped out of Jazz, covering her body in scorching flames and fending the cat off. Unable to withstand the heat, the cat jumped towards the closest target. “Take this!” She was going for Akemi!

Nei had managed to recuperate from jumping into whatever this was well enough, and he had been following Fei, Boru and Amy closely since they awakened. "I think staying out of sight for the moment might be our best option..." Luckily for the Tapirmon, Amy had just the right idea for this job as she evolved, with the Tapirmon moving to keep a hand on the creature.
Felt weird, but at least they could hide, right?
We're hidden for the moment, but I don't know what we should do about that group down there...I could've made an illusion to hide us, but this works a lot better. They're suspicious though...Maybe we could wait until one group's winning and swoop in to beat them both up?
Nei was no fighter. Hence why he was pitching this idea to the team (and Heraldmon). "The entrance to the next floor could be anywhere..." Akemi hadn't notice she had misplaced her hat, but when Kath placed it back on her head, the brunette blinked for a moment, before she smiled and reached out to ruffle the Spaniard's curls briefly before she went to examine the alley proper.
She nodded towards Kath when she held up the card, before nearly jumping at the sounds of a scuffle that quickly reached them, in the form of a Mikemon jumping on Jazz's head! With the pig-girl's latent fire spirit manifesting to fend the cat off, she jumped at Akemi.
Mikemon would've succeeded if it weren't for the fact Anzu launched herself off of Jazz's head when the fire began, and flew in front of Akemi to shield her! "GAH! You orange piece of Data shit, what the actual fuck are you doing? Hell, who the FUCK ARE YOU?" Ah, yes. The signature move any self-respecting Tsukaimon knows at their core.
Bad Message.
Probably wouldn't do much, though, right?

"Roger." Hana replied to Bastian's report. She touched Amy's form for a second before continuing. "We'll try to lay low until your confirmation, Bastian. With any luck, we'll get the information we need swiftly."
In all honesty, Amelie didn't feel the need to communicate with the other group at the moment, mostly because she couldn't speak their own mission was pretty self-contained; sure, hearing about Akemi's and Katherine's progress would be fine, it wasn't necessary until they needed to coordinate their exit after they had accomplished their goal. And... in all honesty? She'd be surprised if they were any close to accomplishing that goal.
Other than that? Heraldmon's initial plan had worked out flawlessly; sure, there was this contingency with the roof being torn to pieces, but that had only overall just contributed to the scene's dramatic effect; what mattered was that the group was completely out of sight, and that they were free to observe what was happening around them. So, what was the plan? Sides what was previously uttered by the brunette's companion.
Of course it worked. Why would you doubt something that simple working?
Just a little bit smug, even though the aberration probably had more important things to address at the moment. Like Nei's own words, for example.
Waiting is the best thing we can do at the moment. Either for Bastian's report, or for this conflict to look closer to resolution. I'm unsure of whether knocking both sides is that smart thing to do, however. We'll get plenty of action in the future, so... I guess we should try to intervene as little as possible for now. So we wait.
A mental nod came from Hana's direction, accompanied with its physical variation; sides Heraldmon carrying herself (and everyone willing to) to a better ventage point thanks to a ceiling that had been pretty conveniently not there anymore.

So… what had been the result of Anzu’s own attack against their cat attacker?
The Mikemon and the Tsukaimon clashed in the air, both of them being jotted backward. Although the bean had been propelled significantly harder against the wall compared to the attacking feline, he didn’t seem to be immune to her skill.
“I remember… that technique.” Katherine muttered, acquiring a fighting stance, just like Jazz. “Anzu!” The hog pointed a hand at her best friend. “Was that the best you could think of!? Do you really think that will stop a surprise ambusher!?”
The Cho-Hakkaimon’s question was answered immediately by the sound of… the Mikemon crying.
“T-That’s so rude…!”
Jazz couldn’t help but sweatdrop. “Come on! What kind of loser would fall for that!?” She now directed the accusing finger to the cat. “H-Hey!” Katherine refuted. N-Not that she had fallen for that before or anything.
The effect seemed to have worn off quite fast, though. The Mikemon was now blinking and looking at Akemi and Katherine. “What kind of Humanoids are you?” She muttered. “... And why are you helping the humanoids!?” She questioned Anzu now.
“You mentioned that humanoid thing before.” The Cho-Hakkaimon was now the one blinking while she tilted her head. “What are you talking about?”
It was then when another message from Bastian came in. Explaining some of what was going on. The group would listen to it closely.
What would be their conclusions after that?
“W-Well… I don’t have any technique that can turn me invisible. I also don’t have a technique that makes me grow on size to destroy the roof.” Fei responded to Amelie’s statement while staring at the obliterated ceiling “W-Wait…!”
“How are you inside our head!?” Both Boru and her master only now seemed to realize they were having a conversation through sheer thoughts
“Amazing…” For the Lekismon, who thought she had seen everything in this world, a digimon species she didn’t know was quite impressive. And especially one with the skill of this thing! “Heraldmon, huh? I wonder where this digimon came from…” Once Nei had told her the name of the monster, Fei took a moment to think about its origins.
Not that she would have much time for that, though! The invisible squad would move to another roof to observe the battle happening in the warehouse that laid below the ceiling they had just destroyed, trying to find an explanation for this conflict.
The battle unfolding in front of their eyes would continue. The Astamons, now joined by Devimons and Pidmons tried to fend off the Cerberumons, whose army also included Boarmons and Garurumons now. While the battle turned more intense, some of the digimon actually stared disintegrating into bits of data. Instead of vanishing into the sky, this data seemed to be moving through the sky to some specific point in the city.
“Where is their data… going?” Boru asked himself inside his head.
Meanwhile, Fei kept studying the elements taking part in the gruesome face-off. “Humans against… beasts?”
Her deduction would be confirmed in a matter of seconds. Just after she reached this conclusion, Bastian got in contact with the group again. And, just like during the previous contact, both groups would be able to hear the message in its entirety.
“I have bad news… and good news. And bad news, again. I still haven’t been able to fix the line between the two groups. Something is blocking it from inside the tower. But…
I did manage to launch a probe through your digivices. I detected a massive amount of energy coming from somewhere inside that floor. It’s constantly moving and rebuilding data. It actually matches perfectly with an element located in one of the training floors that used to exist when I was there. After studying the situation for a bit longer, I think I can tell the floor you’re in with almost full certainty, so listen closely:
You landed on the first floor of the Dogma Tower. This is known as the Man vs Beast floor. As you probably have noticed by now, the floor's main attraction is a never-ending clash between Humanoid and Beast digimon to control the territory. When I was a member of the Dark Army, that floor used to consist of the same premise, under a very primitive scenario. I can tell the environment and the digimon of the war evolved through time like a regular ecosystem. I assume a city was built at some point and the conflict escalated. When I used to train there, the digimon just fought one another on a meadow. Now they're fighting by using strategy. I assume they divide into groups and try to take control of specific areas. Although we can't actually know how time works in the Dogma Tower, we can probably say these digimon have been fighting for years.
Sadly… I don’t know where the gate to the next floor might be. You must find that yourselves, Gem Group. If there are any members of the Dark Army training in there, you should find a way of going undetected.
... Oh! What I can give you is a little tip. I remember there is one basic rule about the Man vs Beast floor: The battle must be equalized. When one of the factions, humanoids or beasts, are winning, the Dark Army soldiers training on that floor will go in that direction to equalize things. So, if you want to cause a distraction for the Dark Army soldiers, you might want to help one of the factions and create a misbalance that they need to fix."
… What I don’t know is how you can do that without the Dark Army finding you when they get there.
That sounded like a problem.
“Anyways.” Bastian concluded. “Good luck.”

With that report, Nei figured out exactly what they should do. They had a big abomination capable of causing disruption, they had someone to keep them patched up, and they also had Boru and...Himself.
I didn't doubt it for a moment. You're not my moms' boss for nothing, Miss Amy. Anyways, if we're supposed to disrupt the fight down here, we should figure out what side to support and how we should support them...I think I can provide a good retreat for us if need be using my ability to make illusions via memory, too...
Did the group have any input on this? Meanwhile...Anzu had impacted the wall at high speed, but her Bad Message had done the trick in that the Mikemon started crying. "Yes, I did. The Tsukaimon's words -always- sting!" She wheezed as she got back up on all fours. Akemi had been about to retort to the humanoids bit before a message from Bastian came.
...
It was probably reasonable to assume this Mikemon was one of the people that were a part of the factional war down here, then. Shit, she had to actually come up with a good ruse for this cat to believe. "We're...uh. We're beasts in disguise...We need to figure out how to sabotage the humanoids and get out of here, h-honest." A shitty ruse, but it'd probably work if this Mikemon would believe them.
"What help can you offer us?"

The mental equivalent of Amelie grinning confidently would ensue.
Don't worry about that. The roof was collateral from this form being a little too big, but that couldn't really be helped; not like that really inconvenient, however. In fact, I wonder if the digimons that tried to check if anything was strange over here thought we were the enemy they supposed to fight.
Not like that really mattered, either. At least for now, the group had been left to their own devices, and while both Boru and Fei had their fair share of questions, those weren't really apt for the situation at hand.
I'd rather chat about this over a cup of tea; doubt the situation at hand is fitting for it. The gist of it is that this form can't communicate through normal means with me. If you want to, you have to touch any part of my body and think really hard about what you want to say. Speaking it out loud helps with that, but it's unnecessary.
Now in the roof, the group would observe the conflict and get more details coming from Bastian regarding the nature of what exactly happened in this place. Man vs Beast, huh...? That sounded interesting. After Nei provided his input regarding the situation, it was Amy's own.
So, the Dark Army is the equalizing force in this conflict, huh? They must ensure that that continues forever, or something. That's interesting. I feel like we should scout the area first and see if we can find the exit on our own; maybe the place where the data reformats is a lead? We should check that first. But... in case that fails, we should probably destabilize the battle so the Dark Army intervenes. I figure that if we throw this floor off-balance enough, their entrance will be a dead giveaway of where the entrance is. Let's figure that one out while scanning the environment first, then act if necessary.
Over cautious for a plan coming from Amy? Definitely, but this time more than her own life was at stake. One misstep could result in a catastrophe, so doing things as thoroughly and safely as possible seemed like the name of the game. For now, Heraldmon would take a hold of anyone interested in doing so, and then begin flying through the night sky. Would there be any clues to observe from that vantage point? Guess it was time to find out.
