One way or another, the information provided by Bastian had established a game plan for each group that would be developed throughout their next movements. What would they be able to accomplish?
The Mikemon who had just attacked the Gem Group remained in a defensive stance, staring at Akemi while she provided some sort of explanation. "You're kidding... You belong to the beast faction!?" She asked, staring at the human girl. "Prove it! Show your true form!" This time, it was the feline showing a pointy finger. Katherine took a step back, getting a bit nervous. What were they going to tell this cat? Could they find a convincing reason for why they couldn't show her their beast forms? Well... Besides the, you know, them not being actually beasts in disguise! Quickly, Katherine decided to take a step forward and go for the save. She took out her recently gained D-Arc and pointed at Jazz immediately. "She meant one of our Digimon is disguised." While she finished this statement, the glowing light that had previously started swirling around Jazz, faded out to reveal a Moosemon. "A beast...!" The Mikemon gasped upon the sight. "See? We told you she was disguised." With this, Jazz returned to her Cho-Hakkaimon form, before Katherine continued. "My name is Katherine. And she's Akemi." Her green eyes went towards her best friend for a second before continuing. "We're not humanoid or beast Digimon. We're humans." She explained to the feline. "I don't... Know if you have ever seen one of us. But we have nothing to do with humanoid Digimon. We're in the Beast team along with our Digimon partners." That was probably for the best, honestly. They shouldn't get in trouble this soon into their heist. "My name is Doha. I work as a scouter for the beast fraction." She admitted, still looking wary of the group. "Get... Out? Of where?" She asked, tilting her head after listening to Akemi's question. "What do you mean by getting out of here? And where do you want to go?"It wasn't too hard for Katherine to see what was going on. "Careful." The green-eyed let out an almost inaudible mutter. Hopefully, Akemi would be able to hear that. They should be careful regarding what they said to this cat. And, at the same time, they should find a way of turning this alliance into an advantage. "We'll try to stay in contact, then." With that thought, Fei responded to Amelie's own piece of insight. They had agreed she would be the leader of this group and, in all honesty, her plan didn't seem to be overall disruptive with their objective. "We should find a way of letting the Gem Group know where the exit is, in case we find it. We're supposed to provide a distraction for them to advance, so we shouldn't go through it before knowing if they had." That did make sense. Although Amelie was probably more than aware of this, it couldn't hurt to bring it up, right? In reality, everyone knew that, being the Decoy Group, it was likely they would be causing a fuss quite soon! What about Nei's opinion? That was important too! "I feel that's definitely a good idea. Once we find that thing Bastian mentioned, that is definitely a good way to cause a distraction." Boru responded to the other rookie in the group. With that, the group took off, all of them holding tight into (and being held tight by) Heraldmon. As they ascended into the night sky, they started seeing something glowing into the distance. From where they were (several kilometers away from it), it looked like a mass of energy that shone with a light-green color. Packages of data that seemed to come from the battlefield they had just left behind kept passing by them. "They're going towards that glowing thing..." Fei remarked. ".What is that doing with their data?" Boru asked, while her master just stared at it silently. "Let's go, Amelie." That definitely seemed like the place they had to check. Thanks to Heraldmon's speed and skills for going undetected, their trip to their destination would prove to be rather short, although they had to travel a considerable distance. It wouldn't be until they landed over the rooftop of a building located near to this glowing mass of data that they were able to look at it a bit better. "I-It looks like a machine." In fact, it did look like some type of silver, gigantic gadget. Thanks to the two antennas that seemed to stand above the rest of the massive object, it reached the height of a building. These antennas were the ones glowing in that green light, which was so intense that actually made it harder to decry the overall structure of the device. The packages of data, which seemed to come from different points in the city, actually reached these antennas and disintegrated in the light it issued. What the hell was that thing? "I think we need to be careful, Amelie. I don't know what this is, but it seems like something important. I support the idea of getting a closer look but... Maybe we should take some precautions." What would the group decide?

Nei would nod up towards the abomination. Yeah. I think figuring out where we can stir up chaos, or however you'd put it, would be the ideal start to trying to throw a wrench into this...endless Dark Army war? I think? We could totally try sending a signal of sorts...I think we should get Bastian to tell them to keep watch for something of the sorts if we end up finding the exit.
Once they got to the skies, and neared the contraption... "We do need to take care here. I dunno what precautions I can provide, though..." The Tapirmon admitted. "I could try making anyone who gets near get sleepy? But I can only do that to one guy at a time." Ultimately, he was hoping that Amelie would have more ideas here than he did. A rookie was rather limited in utility. Turns out, trying to trick a cat by saying you're disguised falls flat when you're expected to reveal your true form. Luckily, Kath's quick thinking saved these negotiations.
"...Yeah. She's right." Akemi stated. "My partner's name's Anzu." She pointed towards the obnoxiously rotund and rude bean when she said that. "When I said get out I...really meant out of the alley. It's a bit claustrophobic with so many people here..." She trailed off briefly, before she continued.
"Doha, you seem like a nice girl. We're trying not to get in trouble or anything, and we're trying to keep away from the humanoids, too. We've been attempting to find a place to lay low for a bit, consequently. Do you know of any? ...And have you seen any actual Humanoids nearby while scouting?"
Anzu had stayed notably quiet, but the bean made an effort to fly up. "Lemme go check something. Gotta keep watch..." It was an attempt to get a better look at their surroundings from above and against the wall of the alleyway. If the wall would end, she'd stop ascending. What would she see...?

So far so good; the group has gone undetected and now they had taken to the skies without much difficulty. Fei's comment was taken into consideration, but... the truth was that she was already well aware of that fact.
Ideally, Bastian should have fixed the intercommunication devices before we go through with our plan to set a distraction. That'd make everything go a lot more smoothly. Sides, our chances of going back to hiding once we begin with the 'distraction' proper aren't really the greatest, so we have to make sure to initiate it only when we can be sure it'll count. Until then... the more information we can gather about the situation at hand, the better we'll be able to handle it once we decide to go for it.
Considering they only had one shot at whatever they would attempt to do, rushing wasn't something she was too keen on doing. For that reason, she appreciated Nei's input.
We'll need every weapon in your arsenal to pull this one off, I feel. Illusions, trickery, you call it. Considering the scope of this operation, and the odds we'll face, nothing less than our very best is going to suffice in a situation like this.
The aberration got the memo regarding the strange signal, and it could even identify the gigantic device that was attracting the data packages towards it. Interesting. After Fei's encouragement, it began to draw nearer and nearer to its location.
"Think that is what reconfigures the data of the digimons that die in here? It would make sense, since this place seems to have its own laws. And I honestly doubt that every dead digimon would go straight towards the Village of Beginnings. That'd make things very inconvenient for the Dark Army. Let's check what that thing is about."
Hana's words mirrored Amy's own thoughts. Getting closer, at least theoretically, would be quite easy.
I feel like we should get closer, albeit cautiously. Maybe we can find a way to disrupt that machine? If we do, that's probably gonna be a huge distraction. Pretty much what the doctor ordered, right? Maybe once they drew closer, they would figure out what the machine was about, or if any clues regarding how to disrupt it, and or if it was really what they thought it was were true.
Time to check it out!

While introductions were issued, Doha just stared at each member of the group individually. “Anzu…” She muttered upon looking at the Tsukaimon again. Considering she was the only one who had been a beast from the start, it seemed like the Mikemon trusted her a bit more. The things Akemi said, however, seemed to catch her a bit off guard every time. Was the cat growing warier of her?
Quirking an eyebrow, the cat folded her arms. “I just inspected these buildings and they seem to be empty, but I really don’t think you would feel less claustrophobic inside one of those than… you know, out in the open.” She glanced at the night sky for a second. “Unless you want to go out to the street…” Now, her eyes went towards the avenue right next to them. “But I wouldn’t recommend Anzu doing that in Humanoid territory.”
“So this is a Humanoid Zone…” Folding her own arms now, Katherine looked around.
Now, Doha listened to what Akemi had to say. “You don’t want to… fight Humanoids?” Again, the cat seemed confused at Akemi’s words. “Are you hurt or something?” She went to examine from afar each member again. It didn’t seem like the ones participating in this war knew the concept of avoiding conflict. Were they programmed to fight? This exchange was definitely giving Katherine some valuable info.
“In normal circumstances, I would take you to one of the Beast Faction Warehouses, but… I can’t take you in there, for obvious reasons.” Doha looked at the humans. “... those being you look like Humanoids, in case that’s not clear.”
“O-Of course…” Katherine nodded. There seemed to be too many things this Digimon didn’t understand. Doha was a part of this world and they were outsiders to everything that was normal to her. How could they find the exit of this floor, how could they keep moving, if their only ally was someone who didn’t understand there was another floor, to begin with?
Then, Akemi issued another question. “As I mentioned, this is a Humanoid Zone, so I’ve seen plenty.” Doha noted before pointing her paw southward. Actually, now that Anzu had gained some height, she would be able to see a building with some lights on a couple of blocks away from them. “There’s a Humanoid hideout not far from here. I found it earlier and it doesn’t seem to be super protected. There doesn’t seem to be any other spot of Humanoids around, so this seems to be a good zone to take control of. I was going back to our warehouse to report my findings before I bumped into you. I thought you were a Humanoid hanging alone so I thought about taking you out. That's why I attacked.” She directed this last sentence towards Jazz.
That explained a lot. “Anyways!” Doha cleared her throat before taking some steps away from the group. “Now that I’ve told you my plan, I can’t let you go.” A menacing paw was now pointed at the squad. Then, she growled, sitting on the floor and crossing her arms. “... But I can’t take you with me to report my findings. You will cause a fuss in our warehouse looking like that and I could get in trouble.” That made sense too. The cat seemed to be in some sort of diatribe.
Kath, however, had a potential solution. “Then why don’t you lead us to that warehouse? We’ll be able to use our Humanoid disguises, take them by surprise and gain control of the whole thing!”
“W-What?” Doha seemed rather shocked at the sole idea.
“Come on, think about it! It’s a good way for us to prove to you that we’re on the side of the beasts. If we fail, it will be our mistake and you won’t get in trouble and, if we succeed, you’ll take the credit as the chief of the operation. All the other beasts will praise you a lot for such a maneuver!” Oh, God. What kind of move was she the green-eyed trying to pull here?
Doha, however, looked kind of fascinated by the idea, just imagining how it would be.
“W-Where did Jasso learn to be so… sneaky?” Jazz muttered to Anzu, staring at her tamer from afar.
The Decoy Group had its own problems and mysteries to solve. After Amelie and Nei discussed the importance of each of the members contributing to their mission to the best of their capabilities, Boru and Fei listened to Hana. While the whole squad moved towards the tower, aided by Heraldmon, the theory issued by the short being seemed to gain more sense. However, the whole group would be abruptly interrupted in their way there. Not because any physical, pragmatic or tangible impediment but more because of … an unbearable burst of pain.
“Ahggg!” The shock of sheer pain going through Boru and Fei’s body made it impossible for them to not issue any sound. This pain would be shared across all of the members of the Decoy Group. Luckily, as they had decided to proceed cautiously, Heraldmon would be able to quickly go back as a reflex. The pain was very real and, although it disappeared when they gained distance from the machine again, one could only wonder what it could do to them if they got closer again.
“W-What was that!?” Boru issued that question while he clenched his teeth and landed along with the rest of the group in the rooftop of one of the buildings again, this time fairly closer to the gigantic machine.
“I—I almost felt as if it was trying to split my data into pieces.” Fei breathed heavily. That had been quite scary! How unbearable had this burst of pain been for Heraldmon and Nei?
It would take both the Psychemon and his master around a minute to recover. Reincorporating, Fei looked at the glowing green light. “I think… That thing was trying to absorb us.” Then, she glanced at Hana. “You were probably right. That thing is doing something to the data of those who die on the battlefield. If we get too close, it might assume our data is here to be processed too.”
“L-Look, Feishi.” Boru pointed one of his claws at the ground, right in front of the machine. Now that they were closer, they could somewhat see through the shinning green light and observe the base of the giant object. “What are those?”
Tubes. Two very thick, metallic tubes connected the core of the machine to the street. They went into the concrete and seemed to lead to some sort of underground tunnel, judging by the way they had been inserted into the soil. Although not far from one another, the tubes were facing in opposite directions. Both of them glowed with the same green light the antennas issued.
“The Antennas receive the data… the machine does something with it and then… sends the result through those tubes? But were to?” Fei muttered, taking a look at the whole system and issuing some very general conclusions. However, moving in the direction of the massive object would cause immense pain to any of them right now. It seemed like they were as close as they could get to this thing in their current state.
What now?

Nei nodded up at the beast, even if she couldn't quite see it. Anything you need, Ms. Amy, I'll try my best to provide. It seemed like the consensus here was to draw closer in order to properly discern this machine's function as well as determine how they could wreck it in such a way that would benefit their mission of being decoys.
Yet, the group found that they also could not get much closer, could they? If this was meant to be a data processing machine...
Hey, Ms. Amy, what do you think might happen if you go and break it?
Akemi had the distinct feeling she wasn't necessarily helping out with trying to convince Doha to help them. In fact, she was pretty sure this cute kitty was getting more skeptical of her by the second! Nonetheless, they had learned something quite important. This was a humanoid zone...
"We're not very prepared to fight them is the thing." Akemi clarified, before she nodded at Doha. "That's...that's fair." She then remained silent as this situation just developed more in front of her. Doha had had an entire plan that she just divulged, so they had to be dealt with somehow. So, Kath's response?
Siccing them on the Humanoid base. It was absolutely devious of Kath to propose, and Doha seemed enthralled by the idea. "...Yeeessss..." She nodded at the green-eyed. "It'd do wonders for your reputation if we succeed, so...What do you think?" Akemi looked towards Doha with expressive eyes. Hopeful ones. Would they work?
"...Dunno, but she's doing damn good at it." Anzu replied to Jazz, just as quietly.

It was quite the shocking revelation. How, when drawing close enough to the mysterious machine, a sudden burst of pain sparked between every member involved. Hana herself clenched her teeth at the sudden discharge; Heraldmon itself? It took it a couple more milliseconds to realize what was going on, and retreat into the safety of a nearby rooftop as quickly as possible.
That could've almost ended in a disaster. Luckily, the group was able to avoid that close call. "The hell was that." Hana commented, once the group was out of danger, pretty much at the same time as Boru. "T'was a good thing Amy bailed in time, considering..."
Yeah. For a moment I was wondering if we were under attack and I was debating on keep on advancing, but... yeah.
Who'd have thought that the aberration's inability to feel almost had caused a disaster? In any case... the whole group took note regarding how close proximity to such a machine afflicted most data-based beings near it, and the mysterious tubes that were connected to it as well. Drawing some crude conclusions about the whole matter wasn't precisely a hard thing to do, in all honesty.
"Well, at least we have the distraction of our lives going on for us. Just disrupt the machine's normal functioning and chances are that the ruckus caused will give the other group enough time to try and pull off whatever they mean to."
Amelie mentally nodded to Hana's remark. That'd probably be more than fitting to answer Nei's inquiry as well.
The tubes must lead to the Dark Army's HQ proper. I can't possibly imagine it going anywhere else. So... I guess that's our next destination once we set this plan in motion. Hana, can you...?
The human smirked. "On it." And, after a pause, Bastian was contacted. "Hey, Bastian. We're in position to begin diverting the attention from the main group to us. How's the process of fixing the communicators going? And most importantly, how's the gem group doing? Any updates would be appreciated."
For now, there wasn't much more they could do rather than getting in striking range of the strange artifact in front of them and wait for Bastian's news regarding how everything was evolving.

Considering the messy situation they had gotten into, the fact the Gem Group had so quickly found a plan to execute was probably a blessing.
Akemi's input seemed to be the final contribution needed to help convince Doha that this was the correct move for her prestige. "Y-You're right. That could do wonders for me with the other guys." The cat nodded quickly and firmly, having completely decided to go through with this.
"It's settled, then." Her hand clenched into a fist, Katherine looked at Doha to then turn towards Jazz and Anzu, who probably knew what they had to do. By this point, it should be very clear the group was just trying to get anywhere that provided them with some more information on how to get out of here. However, it was also clear their goal was to avoid getting in any kind of trouble. They were the Gem Group, after all!
"Although you look like humanoid Digimon, you need something to convince the Humanoids you're totally on their side. Right?" Jazz suggested, turning her head towards Anzu now. "What if you pretend you're attacking them and they run away from you? That way, the Humanoids won't doubt the girls are on their side." Well, yes, that could work. "Meanwhile, I'll stay with Doha nearby and, as soon as you give me the sign, we’ll enter the building to help you."
Considering their plan wasn't really to destroy this humanoid hideout, it was clear the scheme of this could change a lot while they went through its motions. But this wasn't something Doha should really know, was it? Right now, they just needed anything that got them closer to getting more info.
The Mikemon, in particular, seemed completely all for Jazz’s idea. “You’re a smart one!” She nodded, looking at the Cho-Hakkaimon. Then, she turned to see Anzu, placing her paw over her mouth. “Can you turn into a big, scary beastly creature?” The feline wondered while tilting her head.
If everyone was okay with this plan, the girls would move through the alleys some blocks forward, getting closer to the building Doha had mentioned. For now, the streets remained extremely quiet and lonely, so the group would stay in another nearby alley before setting the plan in motion.
“Okay. You wait for us here.” Katherine’s green eyes locked on Doha and Jazz. Then, they went to Anzu. “You will chase us and pretend you’re attacking us.” Hopefully, the bean had evolved into some terrifying beast by now. “And you and I will run scared.” She finished the recap by looking at Akemi giving her a reassuring nod. They would be okay. They had to be.
“Let’s go!”
With this, the teenager jumped into the middle of the street and started running towards the building Doha had pointed earlier. “Help! Somebody help us!” Hopefully, Akemi would do the same. And hopefully, Anzu would do her part!
At the moment, the Decoy Group seemed to have impacted an important boulder in their way to success. Although it was true they haven’t caused a distraction yet, it didn’t seem like the Gem group had made the necessary progress to need one yet either. Bastian’s input on the matter would provide further details about this.
“Hana. I tried to reestablish the communication between the two groups but… I wasn’t successful. Although the cloaks are programmed to be able to communicate even through dimensions, there is something jamming the communications inside the floor you’re in. If I had to guess, it is likely one or even the two factions have installed a jammer to avoid information leaking. Another theory is that the Dark Army installed this themselves, to avoid the members of the factions communicating among them and having one become too strong. There are too many possibilities and now way to know right now. The good news is that I was able to track the source of the jammer and I know where the signal blocking it’s coming from. I think I might be able to send a very simple map through the cloaks and to your D-Terminals so you can go there. It should be at… around four blocks from your current position.”
So far, it seemed like Bastian's info was a mixture of terrible and good news.
“To make matters worse, I myself just lost communications with the Gem Group. I don't know what caused this and I don't think it's the same jammer since I can still talk to you. Since I can't be a bridge for you t get info across anymore, I think fixing the communications between you two is absolutely necessary right now, but that's your call to make. Last time I heard anything from the girls, they seemed to be interacting with a member of the Beast Faction directly, I think they’re about to raid a Humanoid Warehouse to get more information. I'll try to reestablish my channel with them, but it does not look good so far.”
With that, the robot’s message seemed to be over. Boru looked at his partners, wondering what they should do next. “Does this mean… we have to split even more?”
“Finding that jammer seems necessary to coordinate efforts with the Gem Group but… at the same time, I feel when we start destroying this thing we might need as much strength as we can get.” Fei remarked. Then, she conveyed her thoughts to Heraldmon once again. “This is your call, leader. Who do you want to send to look for the jammer? Or… do you think we should all stay here? Or… maybe we should all go look for it?”
Decisions, leader! Time to make decisions!

Okay, that was definitely one of the more painful experiences Nei had ever had outside of having to provide free dream therapy. Don't ask what that entailed. "I-I think it was trying to break us down? I...I'm not really sure how one could describe such a thing..." It was pretty clear that the ordeal took it's toll on the Tapirmon.
So if they couldn't get too close, then that means they had to stay within a certain range or risk...that. And it seemed like Amelie had put Hana up to the task of getting in range. But they had decisions to make as news reached them! "...So we...have no idea how they're doing." They being the Gem Group.
That's nice. Totally.
"I think we should send two people out to find the Jammer and take care of it...But that's just me." Amy was the leader here, after all! The fact there was so much jamming going on though...Even if that were just exclusive to this floor, it was still able to hamper Bastian's cloaks. Would such a thing be a constant during their time in this damn tower? It was really nice to see that Doha had the smarts to know when a gift horse was looking the Mikemon dead in the eyes, that much was certain. Akemi made a rather bold move in that she moved over to Doha and gave her a pat on the head. "It's settled indeed! You won't regret this."
Well, maybe she might. But it was something they could both benefit from! Jazz's plan meanwhile was...actually pretty solid. Anzu made her descent back down from where she was in time to hear it, too. "I even have just the form for this!" Akemi was silently praying it wasn't Mephistomon X as Anzu was quickly enveloped in a fine mist before the Tsukaimon was replaced with...
Sangloupmon.
Oh thank god.
"Perfectly menacing, as all things should be, yes?" Anzu flashed a wolfish grin at the party. They then proceeded to maneuver through the alleys, and the cold and lonely streets of this floor. How empty the place was felt nearly...suffocating in a way.
So, when they stopped in a alley near the destination, Katherine saw fit to go over the plan of action given by Jazz earlier. She and Akemi were to be decoys while Anzu chased them, so when they got inside...Jazz and Doha would then move in.
"...You'll probably hear my signal loud and clear." The wolf decided to put some trust into Jazz and Doha. More the former than anything, really. Akemi had been quiet but attentive this whole time, so she jumped right after Katherine into the streets! "I-It's gaining on us!" She cried out in her best distressed damsel impression she could put on while Anzu gave chase!
"You humans'll SURELY make for a good meal!"
BUT. Would it work?

Well, things were shaping to be pretty interesting at the moment. Hana listened intently to what Bastian had to say; basically, one more task had been added to the list of things the decoys had to do. Fair enough, all things considered.
The girl relayed in real-time what the Ballistamon, Amelie rapidly thinking about the most fitting answer to such a situation. Of course, the answer didn't wait in the slightest. "Copied. So, we need to initiate the distraction as soon as possible, as well as directing our efforts as restoring inter-team communications. Both issues seem like a maximum priority, so I feel like the most sensible decision is to split our group. Hana-" It was only then when the girl realized that Heraldmon was referring to her. "I will go and wreck the communications jammer. And everyone else will remain with Amy 'n try to sabotage whatever this thing is. If you get across the people from the other group, please tell 'em that."
The communication was promptly dropped, Hana herself addressing everyone present. "Ain't that hard of a split, I guess. I have no problem on going on my own, even though Amy thinks that 'If anyone wants to volunteer, they're free to do so'. So up to y'all, I guess!"
Anyone who had shared an adventure with Amy would note that Hana was the owner of the same confident grin on that very moment. That'd probably be more than enough to answer both Fei's, Boru's and Bastian's thoughts on the matter. From their perch, the young woman prepared to descend into the darkness below, but not before waiting in case anyone present pretended to accompany her, just in case.
Once that had been taken care of, Heraldmon remained whoever decided to stay with it.
We don't want to do anything rash, so let's plan before attacking that thing. We should focus our attacks on a single point, shouldn't we? Unless anyone's got a better idea, I think we should all sever one of those tubes and then prepare for what's coming. Everyone, ready?
Unless somebody objected or had a better idea, they'd follow with the plan. What would happen next?
That was a mystery.

While it was true that Doha didn’t seem to have enjoyed much of Akemi’s head-patting, the area around her cheeks had gotten a bit… reddish. Maybe this was another event that showed that Digimon could blush. “W-What are you doing!?”That had been left behind and now Akemi and Katherine were pretending to be under attack by a massive Sanglupmon. The green-eyed, who was the one running up front in the pair, didn’t even have time to doubt if their scheme would work. With all of the fuss they were causing, a digimon didn’t take long to peek his head out of one of the windows of the building that had become their target. It wasn’t until he and a couple of humanoid-creatures more had flown closer to the pair that Katherine was actually able to tell what they were. A digimon species she had… never seen. They did look like humans, though. No. More like… angels. “A-Are those Humanoids?” She wondered. Upon hearing one of them potentially question his partner about their identity, Katherine decided to yell again. “Help! We’re under attack by the Beasts!” That would do, right? Seemingly, it would! In a moment, one of the angelic creatures raised two arms, aiming at Anzu. In a moment, his open palms started jutting fireballs that traveled in the Sangloupmon’s direction. Even if his companions followed, the former bean wouldn’t find it too difficult to dodge them. Weren’t these adult digimon? Why weren’t they stronger? How would she react to being under fire? Meanwhile, a Pidmon landed in front of both Katherine and Akemi, shielding them from any incoming attack that could be coming from the beast and pointing them towards the building they had come from. The tamer at the head of the pair abided and made her best to act desperate while she ran to the door of said edification. Right in front of the portal, another Humanoid was waving his arms to them. “Over here!”The creature moved away just for them to enter and then closed the door, while the angels kept ‘fending off’ the dog outside. “Are you two okay?” He asked while Katherine let her rear fall on the floor, panting. What!? She didn’t fake the run! Just the reason for her to be running. Inside, a group of humanoid digimon that Katherine didn’t have the time to identify greeted them. While a Wizardmon scooted closer to them to examine their bodies, the Iguneetmon (a heavily armed warrior wearing a helmet) got closer. “W-What type of digimon you two are, exactly?” He asked, tilting his head.
The leader of the Decoy Group had made her decision and Hana had started moving. The way to wherever this jammer was located proved to be rather uneventful. Just like in the rest of the city, there was a false sense of tranquility spreading through the lonely streets, with the noise coming from the different fights across the metropolis echoing in the distance. After going through the required four blocks, Hana would be able to spot the building where the jammer was located. Getting inside would prove to be quite easy and she would find a murky, abandoned two-story warehouse. As a first impression, it seemed like neither of the factions was interested in conquering this place. The first floor had several rooms and all of them were empty. Upon going up the stairs, it would become obvious something of interest was hiding there. A glowing green light (not too different from the one that could be seen in that giant machine the rest of the group was examining) dimly reached the stairs, probably coming from one of the many rooms the second floor had. Hana wouldn’t have to roam around for long before hearing… steps. They were slow, metallic steps. There was someone… something, in here. Did she have any invisibility technique herself? How would she approach the room where the light was coming from? Did she want to do this stealthy or violently? Meanwhile, the rest of the squad seemed ready to start causing a mess. Her arms folded, Fei stared at the machine while she listened to Amy. “I do feel the tubes might be the most sensitive part of the whole structure. We can’t get too close to it with that thing on top trying to absorb out data, though, so we’ll have to shoot from distance.” She noted while a spark of purple energy started glowing around both of her hands. “If those tubes go to the Dark Army’s HQ as you said, I really don’t get what they’re doing. But, whether they do or not, I suppose destroying one of them is a guess as good as any.” The nurse added, getting ready to shoot. Meanwhile, a burst of colorful energy started growing inside Boru’s mouth. The Psychemon was ready too! “Let's just pick one of the tubes and destroy it. Left or right, Amy?” “I hfope I’f down’t missh…”

Nei was pretty sure he was interpreting everything being stated here correctly. So, they had to be quick and on the draw with initiating the distraction for the sake of Gem Team having enough time to do their thing. Ergo, Hana went off to do her thing while the rest of the crew remained, prepared to cause a ruckus.
"Me too. Unless the tubing's made out of something super strong, we should focus on -that- first." So, their job at the moment...Yeah. Just need to wreck face. The Tapirmon extended his paws forward as he charged up a ball of electricity. "Dibs on right!" He chirped, ready to fire when ready! "...Letting you know you've been doing good...?" Akemi replied towards Doha. Was this something foreign for the Mikemon? That might or might not receive an answer later, hopefully.
For now, let us focus upon the scheme that the two hatched. How was it going? Well, Akemi and Kath were running at full speed from Anzu (who, to note, was pretty into her role as the pursuer here) in the hopes of getting into that warehouse with the humanoids. One poked their head out. Then more showed up as they got closer.
Akemi...couldn't recognize it. Well, no. That was inaccurate. She couldn't tell if it was a mere Angemon or a Piddomon at first--the two were pretty much the same in appearance save for the sash. THEN she made the distinction thanks to the pink sash! Right as they launched an attack in the form of fireballs that Anzu had to zigzag in order to avoid. She wasn't stupid. As they landed to cover the humans, Anzu hurled her Sticker Blades at them in order to keep the illusion up.
Akemi ran for the door as the Ignitemon gestured her and Kath inside, and she practically keeled over too. That was...physically stressing. "F-Fine...Just tired..." She managed. Akemi glanced to Kath, before looking to the Digimon. She seemed short on breath for the moment, so maybe she should do the talking here.
"H-Humans..." Well, she provided a start at the very least.

Right now, things were going rather smoothly. Hana had departed on her own to do her thing, everyone else remaining where they stood while getting ready to sabotage the machine in front of them. It was just then when the distraction the Gem group needed to progress would begin.
The tubes is it, then. Let's just blow up the right one. Is everyone ready? Get in position to attack.
A concentrated jet of flames was being prepared in one of Heraldmon's tendrils. The temperature was getting to its apex, and it was only a matter of the signal being given before it could be released on a devastating blade of fire.
One, two... fire!
With any luck, that combined attack would have the desired effect. Hana was having a relatively easy time as well. She moved quickly and silently through the streets, all in fervent pursuit of the location Bastian had given. Had that whole deal been... a bit too easy? No way to know, even though she had gotten to the building and entered it without a hitch.
A dark warehouse, that otherwise seemed deserted. Traversing through its first floor had proven to be rather simple. It was only then when she noticed the glowing light somewhere in the upper floor. Her quarry, maybe? Not like she'd have a lot of time to think a lot about it. Bringing out her D-Arc, she pushed a single button in order to turn completely invisible.
She'd advance cautiously afterward, making sure to not make a sound. What was in front of her? It was hard to tell in such a low-light ambiance. Her actions would have to be planned extra carefully if she wanted to be done with this as quickly as possible in order to get back to the main group. With any luck, there wouldn't be a lot of complications.

Once Akemi delivered her answer, Katherine turned to the Wizardmon, showing him a smile. She stood up on her own and dusted herself up, fixing her cloak. “Thank you.” She bowed to the group of Humanoids around them, while Akemi explained what they were.
“Humans…” Just like Doha, the group didn’t seem to know what those were. From between the crowd, they could hear some of the digimon thinking out loud.
“That sounds like Humanoids…”
“… Is it a new species?”
“I had never seen any digimon that looked like that.”
"Can we trust them?"
Immediately, Katherine cleared her throat loudly, trying to bring the attention of the group of digimon back to her. “Listen!” She demanded. Time to do this. “There’s no time to lose. My name is Katherine, and this is Akemi.” For a second, she turned her head towards her friend, who was still sitting on the ground. “We were on a scouting mission to disclose the next movements of the Beasts. We were found and that’s why they sent that… thing, to chase us.” The green-eyed then looked at the door, denoting she meant the Sangloupmon outside.
Noticing these digimon seemed to be buying her story, Katherine continued firmly. “However, we did find out the Beasts are planning a brutal raid against this whole area.” The human’s revelation was met with some gasps from the crowd of humanoids listening to her. “Now that they know we found out about this, it’s just a matter of time before their attack begins.” Trying to sound as convincing as she could, Katherine impressed the maximum amount of drama she could into every sentence. “Luckily for us, my superior is a powerful strategist and one of the keenest members of our faction.” Opening her hand, Katherine pointed at Akemi, showing as much confidence as she could right now. “There’s no time to lose! Please show her all of the assets we have to withstand the upcoming attack. I’m sure she can do marvels with whatever resources we have. So… please, we’re counting on you!”
After two seconds of silence in which Katherine questioned if they would have to call Jazz and Doha already… the humanoids started moving. “Please, come over here, superior!” The Ignuteemon approached Akemi, helping her stand up and commanding her to follow him. “I will show you all of our tools. I’m sure you’ll know how to make the best out of them.” Meanwhile, some of the Humanoids scooted closer to Katherine, ready to ask some questions. The curly-haired tamer glanced at Akemi for a second. She just hoped Amaya could find anything interesting here with the time they had. After all, they knew they couldn't keep this lie forever.
Meanwhile, the Pidomons outside turned their attacks into more violent displays to contain Anzu, surrounding the beast and slamming their canes against her.
Although she still hadn’t been able to catch a glance of whatever was the source of those mysterious steps, it was likely hearing them fade away would be a good signal for Hana to make her way into the room with that glowing light, using her invisibility. The dimly illuminated room contained some sort of antenna. The tip of this device seemed to be the source of the light; similar in tonality to the light coming out of the gigantic machine they had seen early. How would be Amy and the others dealing with that one?
A quite-busy worktable located not far from the antenna would probably raise the attention of the coated being. On top of said table, a folder rested. Inside, a foil of different documents, maps, plans, and sketches. Although she didn’t have time to read them one by one, she would maybe find quite interesting there were drawings of that huge machine that seemed so important for this floor. Sketches of an antenna that was honestly not too different from the one next to her could also be found in this folder. Written on the front side of the foil, the title of the project could be read.
“Dogma Tower. Floor # 1. Humanoids vs Beasts.”
Hana didn’t have to be a genius to know what was explained in these papers was basically the outline of the floor and how it had been built to have an ever-lasting conflict between these two factions.
“How… did you get in here?”
A voice would echo behind the cloaked intrude. A Guardromon stood several steps behind her, looking quite startled. Had he managed to hidden the sound of his robotic steps? His eyes were red, almost as if he were using some type of thermal vision to see her. Although his voice was robotic, it also seemed humanized to some extent. This creature was genuinely shocked to see her here. Moreover, although confused, he didn’t seem particularly aggressive.
“You’re neither a Beast… nor a Humanoid, are you?”
The robot asked.
It seemed like, per Nei’s decision, the Decoy Group had decided to aim all of their efforts towards the right tube. All of the techniques were shot at once, combining into a giant burst of energy that imploded against the duct. Once the smoke dissipated, they would find out… it worked! Their attacks had gone through the concrete and destroyed a portion of the tube. This was making the data traveling from the device into the tube spread out through the street.
“We did it!” Boru stared at the result. “The data is no longer going from the machine into the tube.”
“I still wonder where it was going...” Fei wondered, her arms folded.
Before anyone could come up with an answer, a loud, extremely noisy horn started sounding off the giant structure. The beacon on top of the device kept absorbing data from everywhere, but now it had turned into a bright red light, while this alarm horn just wouldn’t stop echoing everywhere. It was so extremely loud Fei had no doubt it could probably be heard anywhere in the city.
“Well… if we wanted to cause a distraction. I believe we did.” The nurse admitted, speaking louder than usual and looking at the machine. Then, she turned towards Heraldmon. “What now? Do we want to wait to see if someone comes to fix this mess?”

"Y-Yes!" Akemi agreed! Precisely what Kath was saying. She had more or less provided a convincing foundation to build a ruse upon, so Akemi figured the smartest thing to do here was to reinforce it so that this could last as long as feasibly possible. She could only hope that Anzu wasn't having too rough a time with the humanoids outside...
Especially since they seemed to mostly be Angel digimon.
While she could have definitely done without being referred to as Katherine's superior even if when you think about it she technically was, a good craftsman made do with what she had. "My lovely subordinate's correct. Even now, those filthy beasts plan and plot to crush this very location under their heel, so it's imperative we prepare accordingly." Akemi nodded towards Ignitemon. "Of course. I'll do my best to prepare you adequately for this assault. We'll get through this with our lives!" Prepare them adequately, of course, meant she was going to do her damnedest to cripple the humanoids. As such, she would await the Ignitemon to describe or show her what exactly the Humanoids had here in terms of ordnance and other tools. They would certainly need it. Meanwhile, outside, Anzu had one goal. Distract the humanoids, and despite their attacks growing ever more violent, Anzu would persist. The strikes of their staves only made one thing clear--the Piddomon were around her.
This was a bad idea, as cornering a beast meant they'd be able to lunge at one with impunity. And that was what Anzu did, she made an attempt to tackle one Piddomon down and tear into him!
...She did feel kind of sore, though. And just like that, Nei and friends had wound up damaging the tube, and caused a huge data leak onto the streets! Honestly, maybe he could now see why it was that Anzu enjoyed causing property damage so much. "...Siren's blaring, so..." It was loud.
Uncomfortably loud. Mmm...
"I vote we wait. But like, hide in wait and ambush whatever comes so we can cause an even bigger distraction!"

At least the attack was successful. That much was a relief; Amelie didn't need to have eyes to see the result of the combination of abilities that had struck the tube. The tear was substantial, and it didn't take a genius to suspect that, as well, an alarm had been activated, judging from both Fei's and Boru's behavior. At least partly, things were going well.
I guess that was the easy part. Now the hard one begins; I agree with Nei regarding the plan. We can't go too far away because Hana won't be able to pinpoint or location if she fails and the communication devices aren't repaired. Let's find a good place to hide.
Luckily, when the group was on what was a densely-build area with a plethora of rooftops and alleys, finding places to do so seemed like quite a simple task. In one swift motion, the digimon carried its two companions to a nearby rooftop before turning invisible again. With any luck, that'd be the best hiding place they could get. Hana's own situation wasn't as controlled as the main group's, however. She had managed to enter the room that emanated the strange light, noticed the worktable and the documents... but most importantly, the blueprints and a reference to the antenna that was one the device providing the illumination for the room; it wasn't hard to assume what was the case with them.
However, what she didn't expect was that a Guardromon, of all things, managed to sneak up to her. Could those things really be that sneaky? Oh well; it wasn't like wondering that had any point at the moment. As things were, a pensive index was brought to Hana's chin, her expression becoming as innocent as it can be.
"This building seemed interesting, so I decided to check it out! That's not bad, is it?" She answered to the Guardromon. Her tone at the moment was pretty upbeat, almost as if she were talking casually with an old acquaintance. "What am I should be obvious, right? Two feet, two arms, a single head. Does that sound beastly or humanoid to you?"
It wasn't like she was lying, but she was also not responding to the question either. What did the Guardromon want? And most importantly, would it leave her do what she wanted?
