A sigh escaped Zachary as Cion, Denryu, and others criticized Zachary for keeping too much to himself and his example of himself and Panthermon's moves were 'vanilla' and 'vague'. With the re-emphasis on how crustial this operation was, Zachary realized he had to share. As long as Cion was willing to put her trust in this DATS agent, Zachary should as well. "Okay, okay... Sorry," Zachary said as he shook his head. Panthermon didn't even bat an eye as he remained on the sofa, 'seeming' to nap. "Panthermon has some unique skills. His rookie and champion forms deal fire and darkness attacks, and his ultimate does light and dark. More important, Panthermon in his current form can become invisible, which can help us scout the enemy's location. Also it should be noted, his ultimate form can use shields and also teleport, so he can help to get hostages to safety, but he can only teleport with one extra person at a time. The ultimate, Jaguamon, is an anthro-jaguar with spellcasting abilities similar to a Taomon. A shaman, so he uses a lot of mystical arts and melee attacks. He has other evolution forms, but they are more offensive in nature, and harder to control... so lets not get into that, please." The mention of the 'Dark Digivolutions' were possible but not vital. In a situation like this Jaguamon was a safer call for his versatility over raw power.
He had opened up to the crucial points. He was glad that the normally shy Jojo and Runa were more open than they normally were. Vicktor was as serious as ever, as he would be as a law figure. While so many law figures made him on edge, he hoped he could depend on Denryu as a more free-spirit person. Still, they all cared about the well being of the innocent and the security between worlds.
Zachary then listened intently to Agent Tiger's explanation of the situation. This was of interest and he and Panthermon listened to each detail the best they could. While a wide concern, it seemed to extend privately to DATS and also let Digimon appear to public knowledge. While the 'chaos' in Zachary would have agreed to out knowledge of Digimon, to do it as 'invading, savage monsters' would indeed make ideas of unity and peace go down the tubes forever. That was out of the question.
The knowledge pertaining to the limits of Digivolution did interest Zachary, as well as Logan who was listening in on the team comms. They didn't know it was a safe measure by DATS-- they just figured it had to do with the amount of data and energy that each world provided. It was interesting to know that limitation was a man-made phenomenon. The mention of the portals, however, made Zachary aware of something. "We have portals. Our connection to our base-- but we would have to get the hostages far enough from the battle to use it. And it would still need to be in the reach of the Digital World-- so the Trailmon station should do." he explained.
With the Digivice Syncro, Zachary opened up the message from Hackmon again, but either way the rehash of the need for cooperation was important-- and why Zachary had relinquished his info about Panthermon and Jaguamon's stealth abilities. Either way, it wasn't like he lied. They could defend the hostages with ease. "I apologize for my distrust. If Cion is willing to put her life in your hands, so am I. You have our support, so again, I am sorry for doubting your intentions. Let's just focus on the job now." he said, pretty sure his fellow NEXUS members agreed. "At the very least, we understand the need for secrecy."
At this time, Zachary, John (And Cion maybe if she has team comm) would hear the voices over the comm pertaining to Datamon. "Hey guys, a small detail I should mention.," the chatty smart-ass machine spoke, "Not that you would but, your Emergency Teleporters on your D-Sync may not operate in the Trailmon Terminal since its, technically, part of the real world. Though hard to say since its a kind of in-between, like us. Anyway-- not that you'd wuss out mid-fight with so much on the line, but figured I'd let you know."
Zachary rolled his eyes as he turned and raised his D-Sync to his ear to talk. "What about our movements? Will you be able to track and communicate with us?" he asked.
This time Logan was the one who came on, speaking for Datamon. "Yeah, we should be fine. We may get some lag when you cross over, but we should be able to monitor you from here without issue." Logan complied.
Zachary put his Digivice/phone down and back to his pocket to listen in on the others.

Maybe Blitzwolfmon was being too leary. Agent Tiger and her partner seemed okay on the surface and they even revealed their fighting capabilities. After the tamer called Zachary revealed how unique his partner was she crossed one leg over the other, her tail still resting in her lap, before she said "Sorry if I came off as nasty to anyone. That certainly wasn't my intention but a lady like myself can't be to careful. As for my combat capabilities, I'm hardly as flashy or fancy as Panthermon but I'm a swift footed and agile holy digimon with access to holy and fire attacks. I just hope brute force isn't necessary since I hardly want to endanger the hostages."
Thinking for a moment an idea came to her mind. "Maybe Panthermon and myself could utilize our abilities to sneak in and remove the hostages from the line of fire. That is unless someone has another idea maybe." With this interesting group Blitzwolfmon had a feeling maybe that they could handle things without humans being hurt. Though a spirit wielder, she figured the others didn't need to know that. It would be more interesting to her if they figured it out themselves.

Blinking several times, Cion's gaze shifted to the person, who was perhaps multiple, who addressed her directly if privately. Once again, the potential spirit-wielder who apparently was not a human, acted with a rather aggressive attitude - implying that he doubted her ability in cooperating properly. Naturally affronted by his doubts, she nonetheless maintained her signature calm and poise, for it was becoming to a lady of grace. "There is no reason for us to have a problem, or is there? And unfortunately, I do not quite remember thee, nor your affiliates. Would you kindly enlighten me, dear?"
However, it was evidently more important to get back on track. Fortunately, after initial questions were answered, often regrettably so as anticipated, Agent Tiger finally decided to put her foot down and stand stalwartly for what she believed in - their cause to save people and prevent a disaster of literally global proportions. Nodding approvingly, the silver fennec refrained from applauding the woman's steadfastness, even though she had a small desire to do so. Nevertheless, this was likely another excellent lesson for the leader to-be of Nexus. Knowing how and when to control a situation was an invaluable quality.
Thankfully, the verbose speech appeared to have quenched the flames of doubt that were lingering. She was especially proud of the lad and his partner to open themselves up to confederates, regardless of if they were permanent or temporary. Anew, the art of diplomacy was a core attribute of any archon. Although... she probably had to clarify her own array of abilities as well - mainly for the nameless Blitzwolfmon. "I can conjure shields and zones of protection, as well as heal wounded entities. Beyond that, I am able to shock individual targets with my handgun, and my singularity and storm of arrows have the chance to snare multiple foes at once, but the latter requires time to be set up."
Aside from this, she was not too concerned with the warnings received from her group's operator. If everything went in accordance with a plan, then the emergency teleport was unnecessary.

For as much as there was to discuss, it was unfortunate that not everyone here seemed to be on the same page. Zachary might have gone about it like a politician, but the BlitzWolfmon was outright defiant - and John and his unseen partner had to leave the train to discuss the matter? Not only that, but now there was a tamer here who seemed to have no idea what was going on, while her partner was trying to assert power over Japan's jurisdiction over the matter.
It was unsurprising to see Denryu's fingers pinching his sinus, angel herself giving a derisive snort. "To be so carefree that you think this is a choice..."
"Lives are at stake, and most of us have portals. You honestly think our Agent here is dense enough to try and trap us?"
Honestly, until Tiger spoke, Denryu was tempted just to step off the train before the situation got any worse. Instead, the General idly flicked by the Hackmon's words one more time - and, though it too longer than he might have liked, at the very least the BlitzWolfmon was now on-board, and they knew a little bit more about their team's abilities.
Taking everything into account? The General gave a slow breath, and raised his hand: "If their intent is to try and challenge DATS to a public duel, then its more than likely they're trying to do this as a stunt. Given that, I have a proposal - one that might take the wind right out of their respective sails."
Presuming he got the attention of the train car, he'd press on: "The plan will differ depending on the number of signals we detect on the floor. But, to put it simply, one of our best options is to show a 'silent display of force'. If we detect that the number of ultimates we have is greater than the amount of ultimates they have, we'll simply show them that."
"We wouldn't attack - we won't even take aim at the enemy, or do anything that could be seen as a provocation. From there, we'll have put them under mental pressure - perhaps they'll feel we pushed them into a corner. Then. we'll give them an offer: we'll open a portal to Whitewater or Terminus, and state that whoever leaves will be fully pardoned from their actions."
"If even one accepts, then more will likely follow. From there, we might be able to diffuse the situation in the bottom floor without a single incident. If, however, it becomes apparent that the enemy has more firepower than us?"
"Then we'll go in, open the train doors, and let our 'invisible' Digimon slip out first. We'll be less likely to make an appeal out of force. In the case where we outnumber them, Zachary or myself should address their group - but in this second case, I'd suggest Tiger discuss their terms. Once we've shored up enough defenses around the hostage group, she'd give us a signal - from which we would shield and begin to evacuate the hostages, while simultaneously hammering them from the front line."
"Hm?" Angel blinked. "Wait - that direct? We wouldn't negotiate if we were outnumbered?" Wasn't that the same as consenting to a losing fight?
"Our intent wouldn't be to win, but to buy time. Cion can attest, at least, that her abilities are annoying as hell against large groups of targets. If they're unable to use the hostages as leverage, then they'll all be forced to the front line to deal with the sudden show of force."
The second way was definitely riskier, in all respects - but Denryu wasn't taking this lightly. Even now, he was mulling over the holes of both plans. "At the very least, I'll say this. We aren't going to do well, with this group, unless a plan is established beforehand. None of us have to like each-other - but we do need to be on the same page."

The more most of the members spoke, the more Viktor realized that most here had never dealt with a situation like this or worked with government agency. Despite what Tiger said and the information given, she still didn't give key information that would have put the fox's mind at ease. They were, effectively walking blind and that was never a good thing for any mission.
Viktor spoke briefly to the fennec as he turned to Tiger; "Golden week. The Taomon with the bamboo hat that took out the LadyDevimon. I trust your prowess on this mission."
The DATS agent seemed to be a bit short after Viktor explained his priority was not the Hostages, but this was not totally true. The Hostages were the first priority, but the fox was eliciting information; emotions often played a big part in revealing true plans. Though there was still next to no information on this, her reaction seemed genuine. That meant, at least to Viktor, a few things:
First, that she was really good at lying and they were still walking into a trap. This scenario wasn't too likely, given that she walked right into a 'hot' zone to rally her targets. To catch a wolf, you don't walk into the wolf's den. That's ambush 101.
Second, and the more likely, that DATS didn't have the complete information. What was likely was that when these Digimon terrorists took the train station and the hostages; the world turned there eyes to DATS. Viktor figured they knee-jerked at having jurisdiction in something and rushed the gun to gather fighters to flank the enemy. This would explain the rather suddenness and the vague answers of what the rest of the world was doing. There was no way they kept this one secret after the Golden Week. Right now... DATS was on the world stage.
Viktor nodded to himself, deducing at least somewhat why this was so hastily thrown together. DATS wasn't trapping anyone, not here. They were just nervous. Still, not everyone was on that page. When Denryu opened his mouth about how DATS wasn't going to trap them as a matter-of-fact, Viktor arched a brow. But... the XROS General's plan of Shock and Awe was not a bad one. Infact, Viktor might have suggested that himself. Still, there was lot of missing pieces to this puzzle;
"That's all well a good. But what if our bluff doesn't work? What then? What if they start executing hostages right then and there? What if the humans already talked them down and we show up and escalate? Tiger herself said time passes faster here, so time tables will be off. Your plan is good in a perfect world."
He sighed and now it was his turn to pinch his sinus; "But this isn't a perfect world. We have no other option, for now; we'll have to start with that and play it by ear."
There was one more thing he needed to address, however and he crossed his arms and squared off to Denryu to do it; "You... are walking into an area where you are significantly weaker into known DATS' territory were they have weapons and devices to capture Digimon just like us and you brush it off as illogical? You are either too stupid to understand the danger here or too arrogant."
He narrowed his eyes, "But we can't be picky with the cards we're dealt. If your plan starts off well enough, I'll play along. he leaned in a bit closer, bringing his voice to an almost growl "But the moment it goes pear shaped, I'm out. If my partner is put at risk, then you'll have more than DATS to worry about. 'General'."
He turned his gaze to Angel and walked back to Tiger, sitting down and taking a deep sigh; "Alright, Tiger. You said it yourself, I'm a Taomon. It comes with all the standard things, except I use a polearm rather than a paintbrush. All the same abilities. Range or up close. I'm your fox." he adjusted in his seat, "I expect to be compensated for this, make no mistake. But for now, consider me a hand in your mission."
The assassin closed his eyes and focused, meditating on the coming threat and putting himself in the mindset to be ready for anything. Even betrayal. At this point; nothing was off the table.

John and Runa listened to the agent make her case, John loosened up a bit, but the Viximon still remained skeptical. Still, she knew that there where people at risk, so her personal preferences would have to wait. “...You make a compelling argument, agent lady, fine I’ll tell you more. My rookie form is a Renamon, in that form I can hear really well if I press against wall to the next room, and I can hear from up to a few blocks away as long as it’s quiet enough around me. I can also see in the dark If the lights are all out. My champion form is a Kyubimon, that one’s mostly combat with a little defense.”
Runa’s tail flicked with annoyance, “Anything else you want, lady?” she said with a bit of an edge, John decided to intervene at this point, “Ah, sorry, don’t take it personally, my partner is just very suspicious of everyone new she meets, she’s probably annoyed that she’s showed herself sooner then she wanted, and telling all her moves to complete strangers.” He sighs, “Though I’m not really giving you a chance myself, I’ve heard stories about your group, but I have no way to verify them, and gossip shouldn’t be a basis of how we treat someone, I’m sorry.” He said, getting an eye roll form Runa.
John heard over the nexus comm what sounded like their portal might be down, taking that possibility into account, John listened to the others plans and ideas, he took into account what his partner and he could do, and what would be best for them to do. “Hmm, seeing as how my partner is champion at best, I think we should be on rescue duty. We can help detect when there’s someone approaching with her hearing, and we can hear into another room to avoid walking into one with a bunch of guards in it.” He said.

On the whole, Agent Tiger was glad that they were making headway in establishing trust here. She relaxed somewhat as the others explained their abilities and capabilities. At once, several ideas on how to direct their powers to a successful execution of this operation came to mind, but she would of course have to be patient here to make sure that all of these volunteers were on the same page.
First up was Panthermon, Tiger instantly paid attention when he revealed he could turn invisible. "You're capable of stealth abilities?" she asked. "If so, that would be excellent for this operation. If any others are capable of stealth, it would be incredibly helpful if you could scout ahead and point out to us the position of the hostages and the enemy, once we move out to the terminal. The idea being that we stop once we're on the other side, then see exactly what they have set up on the Shibuya platform."
Agent Tiger was acutely aware that they were severely lacking in intelligence for this operation. So the first logical action would be to have their stealthy allies be their eyes before they would move out.
The use of portals was also of importance to the operation as well. "Yes, as long as they're stable, safe and quick to form, portals would be a useful way to extract the hostages to safety." Tiger agreed. "But, of course, we're operating in the human world here. Such things aren't as easy to operate there as they are in the digital world, so I'm told, so, we need to have a backup plan to ensure the safety of the hostages."
Next, Tiger turned to Stacy. "That's fine, I understand that this is sudden circumstances and I don't blame you for being overly cautious, but, please understand that we mean no harm to you."
Following that, Cion told of her defensive and shield abilities. Jiro approved enthusiastically. "That'd be great! Cion could be our backup to protect the hostages, if attacks head in their direction." the Dracomon-X reasoned.
Agent Tiger agreed. "Yeah, Cion, your abilities would be really useful to keep the innocent safe." she said. "Then once that's done you could join us in the main aim to pin down the provocateurs."
"If I might make a suggestion too..." the Battle Armament Trailmon added to the conversation. "You could feel free to escort the hostages aboard me, and I'll bring them safely back to the digital world, leaving you guys free ability to take down the bad guys without having to worry about innocents on the scene. However, once I go, you've got no retreat other than portals or the elevator to the surface, so, keep that in mind."
"Hmm. Thanks for the input there, we'll keep that in mind." Tiger replied.
Then Denryu spoke and held Tiger and Jiro's attention. His plan was ambitious - to show force over them. This plan would be quite sound - if it weren't for the hostages. And, also, the past experience of Golden Week.
Jiro spoke first though. "While we have limited information about the digimon holding the Trailmon platform in Shibuya, I do know that Arachnemon's the archleader there." he said. "I faced her during the Golden Week incursion. I saw her intentions, and how she reacted when our allies drained the morale from hers with a show of force. I don't think that same trick will work again. While we would have the advantage of a few minutes of surprise, I don't think we'll be able to intimidate them away from battle this time. Arachnemon will be expecting it."
Tiger then turned to Viktor, recognizing what he was talking about. "I see, you were in Miyashita Park in Golden Week." she said, having been familiar with the debriefing from that.
Viktor then raised a point, that if their efforts of intimidation failed and the enemy still had control over the hostages, they might actually start executing them in front of them. As horrible as that was to think about, it would also be rather likely if Jiro's instincts about Arachnemon was right. They wanted a battle, if they were so obviously deprived of one, what would stop them from taking out innocents one by one to get what they wanted?
However, she was a little uncomfortable in the way that Viktor was talking to Denryu. "Okay, please, let's not be like this, we need to work together here." she tried to de-fuse this situation as such.
The last members of this operation spoke, and Tiger and Jiro turned to them. Runa was another of the Renamon line, and was more combat-oriented.
John then mentioned that he had heard rumours about DATS. Agent Tiger sighed and nodded in acknowledgement. "Yes, we're aware of these rumours, as are the enemy here, which is the main reason why they're acting like this against us." she said. "The DATS of the past overstepped their boundaries, but as far as I'm concerned, the DATS of now only wants to save the innocent lives being held in Shibuya station by hostile digimon with a grudge against what our predecessors did."
Now that they had heard of the capabilities of each of the volunteers for this operation, Agent Tiger thought of a plan that might possibly work.
"Okay, so this is what I propose." she said, referring to the projected image of the Trailmon platform against the screen. "First, after we cross the boundary to the human world, we stop in the tunnel, then send forward our scouts - that is, any digimon capable of invisibility. Their task will be to determine the position of the hostages and enemy digimon, then communicate back to us where everything is located."
"Next, once we're sure of the positions of all forces involved, we take advantage of the element of surprise - a combined entrance of both the Trailmon and any digimon capable of flight operating externally. Jiro will arrive as a distraction in his Wingdramon at the same time as Trailmon's arrival on the platform to distract enemy fire, then, as Trailmon arrives at the platform, Cion and Viktor will cover the evacuation of the hostages onto Trailmon. Simultaneously, Blitzwolfmon, Metal Drive's forces, Runa and any further forces available will engage the enemy digimon to prevent them from hurting the hostages."
Tiger understood that this was a hasty plan, but she was open to any suggestions to improve it. The portals would likely be too ineffective to save all of the hostages, assuming there was a dozen of them. But they could save at least one of them in a pinch. She would look around at the rest of them, hoping they could settle on a solid plan of action.

Post by Zachary "Zaber" Scryer on Apr 22, 2020 1:42:17 GMT
Everyone was more willing to share after Tiger had addressed them on that regard. On that, Zachary was relieved and glad he could do it. He should of put more trust in Tiger more since Cion was willing to trust her too. Still, the whole struggle between humans and Digimon could have been seen from DATS policies in the long run-- but that was a debate for another time. For now, Zachary felt he could trust Tiger. Still, Zachary had hope. Perhaps these kidnappers were misunderstood-- as even humans could be. Perhaps, he could convince them to disarm, maybe even come to NEXUS for the chance to find common ground between humans and Digimon. That was the goal of Nexus after all.
For the quiet, stern-looking one-- Zachary looked to Denryu regarding his situation pertaining to how they should handle and even negotiate if possible. He smiled at him. "I agree with Denryu. That could work. If we can settle this bloodlessly, it is nice."
"And here I thought I could show off my fighting prowess," Panthermon growled with a hint of a sarcastic tone. While a peaceful solution was appreciated, he still wished they could have a little action.
Zachary shook his head. "Please don't mind my partner. He just likes to stretch his claws if you catch my drift," he commented, not worried. In the end, Panthermon was always a professional in situations like this.
Hearing Runa's concern and sensing her anxiety, Panthermon rose up with a stretch and off the cushon of the train. He walked and sat himself next to John-- in hopes the fox would be more at ease with his presence. To him, he hoped the Fox would be more at ease with him too as much as he was with John, since both Zachary and Panthermon always tried to make the shy fox more at ease.
Everyone seemed impressive, in addition to his own teammates, but also Denryu. Blitzwolf and Vicktor. By then Tiger spoke up again. She seemed surprised and pleased by the news that Panthermon had tools for stealth, as most cats tend to be. He reflected much of a jungle cat's qualities in many of his forms. The Nexus Portals might work if they could function in the Trailmon station. Hopefully, they would find out when they arrived. Datamon's comment from before didn't leave a lot of confidence there. However, the Trailmon spoke up-- which did surprise Zachary and Panthermon as the cat looked up in alarm, as most cats would do to a new presence. "Okay that's a good plan. You'll be paramount to get the hostages out of there. Thanks. Their safety is our first priority of course."
They had the plan that Panthermon and the foxes who could go invisible would lead the way in to scout for any immediate dangers. Luckily, Zachary had his D-Powers' visual system, which allowed him to see and hear what his partner saw and heard-- beyond their own telepathic link. He kept that to himself of course since it was personal. "I'm down for that plan. I think I speak for us both," Zachary said, and Panthermon nodded in agreement. "I just hope the potential exists for us to at least talk. As a rule, I try to give at least one warning before everything goes to hell."

It made sense for all these folks to not no who she was so she was hardly offended when Cion spoke to her. Turning to look at her, Blitzwolfmon said with a slight smile "I guess it's fair enough that your asking for my affiliation considering I, myself, haven't been a champion level digimon for long." Still keeping an air of mystery about her being a spirit wielder she continued "For the most part, you could say I'm one of those wandering do gooders. I'm here because this situation is hardly how humans should first encounter digimon."
Blitzwolfmon's tail began to twitch anxiously. She hoped things could be handled with out a fight and, if there was one, with as few casualties as possible. "I do hope we can solve this peacefully because I am hardly fond of innocents getting hurt during this fight. That and my long range fire attack has explosive properties so I really don't want to cause the station to fall on everyone's heads either."

Yes, both of Denryu's plans had flaws. Even as he proposed them, the General seemed cautious enough about his own proposal, and hearing more information from Jiro seemed to put it more in doubt. So it was a personality that DATS had dealt with before?
"Hm... if its a matter of personality, then I guess it can't be helped. Duplicating a prior method only expresses weakness in that case - hm?" As the Renamon spoke up, however, Denryu gave a bit of a confused blink. 'What if the hostages already managed to talk them down'? "Oh - your reasoning is backwards. Time is around seven times faster in the Digital World - so one hour over there is seven hours on this side of the border. The hostages wouldn't have had more time to negotiate, if that's your thought."
Angel couldn't help but stifle a chuckle, as Denryu gave his flat, honest answer. For the rest of it? Honestly, the General was already used to this sort of tone: there was no shocked expression on his face, no 'sudden switch to anger' or 'realization that Viktor might be right'. He was listening, but he wasn't putting too much stock in the criticism.
Before Tiger would break it up, he'd give Viktor a reminder:
"You have little authority in all of this. You're out if it goes pear shaped? Optimistic of you to even assume you have the option, isn't it?"
He'd leave it at that - nodding towards Agent Tiger as a note to stop the argument and get back on topic. Agent Tiger listened carefully to that plan. It seemed simple enough: scout the area, distract the front line, and cover the evacuation of the hostages, in that rough order. Zaber and Blitzwolfmon seemed hopeful that this could be solved with talking.
Denryu, meanwhile, brought up a different concern: "Ideally, once we press, they'll lose the ability to keep track of the hostages. But we have to consider if the invading force has already thought of that. For example, they could be holding the hostages in a subway car still on the rails."
"Hm?" Angel's ear perked up at that.
"And, most modern subway trains are rigged to give off an alarm if the main door or an emergency exit is opened while the car is not properly at a stop. If they're using one as a way to hold the hostages, that puts us at a clear disadvantage in two ways: one, even using stealth, any efforts to attempt to rescue the hostages will be immediately known. Second, our Trailmon friend here would be forced to approach at a lower speed, so as to not collide with the hostage car. That will push him further from the fight, making it difficult to use him as a point of escape for the hostages."
He might have just been pessimistic here - but if that truly was the case, this situation became far more difficult. An Arachnemon could even use her webbing to make such a vehicle largely inaccessible... or, perhaps she would have strung the hostages up in her web?
"Our success is going to rely heavily on our scout team's ability to get in and get as accurate a picture of the situation as possible. We need to be prepared for the likely situation that we won't be able to use 'words' at all."

Phew! Among a lot of planning, there were close to innumerable ups and downs and backs and forths. It was overwhelming in a sense, even if the silver fennec barely managed to keep track of everything that was said and done. Furthermore, she appreciated the credit she received, was it explicit or implicit, from Denryu and Viktor. Nonetheless, she did not remember the face of the latter, but given the chaos of the 'Golden Week', that was hardly a surprise. She nodded approvingly regardless, signifying to the warrior the she indeed possessed prowess, which she of course was willing to bring forth for the sake of this dire mission's success.
Fortunately, it appeared that most were bestowed a specific role as to perform to the best of their abilities. Since she lacked access to her apex form on Earth, it was reasonable to position her behind those who were specialized in CQC. From there, she could either support her allies, or disrupt their foes, as to win through attrition. It certainly was her forte, in spite of her preference to join the fray if possible. However, she naturally recognized that this was not about her. The hostages' safety and well-being were their maxim, hence it was hers, too.
Not caring too much for the identity archenemy, she nevertheless paid absolute attention to her modus operandi. "Covering the evacuation - Affirmative." Cion voiced briefly in acknowledgment of the task she received. It seemed simple enough, but she understood how crucial it was. If all other undertakings failed, or if mistakes were made, it was upon her and the grumpy vulpine to serve as the last line of defense and assure a flawless result. This idea was visibly something she embraced openly. Few things were as genial as a good deed after all.
Ultimately though, peaceful or by force... failure was simply unacceptable. For this, a couple of scouts had to deliver them the intel they needed. Looking over to Panthermon, she gave him a firm nod. This was his time to shine and, to an extent, earn and justify his pride.

It was clear to Viktor that the "General" had little to no idea how things operated in the Human world, and his plan would work under very extreme circumstances. Circumstances that might not exist anymore. The fact he did not understand that was almost enough for Viktor to turn tail and drop the Op. But... he was instructed to participate by his charge, so he was in for the long haul. Despite it already turning into a metaphorical train wreck. Even if everyone was willing to risk the mission to save hostage lives. The truth of the matter is they might get there and everyone would be dead. What then? What would the team do when they saw a dead family? Would they freeze? Would they lose it? Everyone acts differently when they're in the black.
These were concepts no one was willing to embrace and despite their general discomfort of Viktor saying he didn't care about the hostages being alive or dead, the latter was a reality they may have to face. So accepting that the Hostages were essentially shields for the bad guy and can and will be used against the team was not a matter of if for Viktor... it was simply a matter of when. The truth hurt, and the truth was they were fighting with a handicap on multiple playing fields. There were a great deal of unknowns and the dark was creeping on them as they spoke, regardless of the time difference.
As Denryu retorted, Viktor simply grimaced and cocked his head in confusion, then rolled his eyes with an audible sigh;
"Whatever you say, kid." was all he said at Denryu's almost laughable response.
Did this child seriously think Hostages were doing the negotiations? Did he not know there was a working government that likely already made contact and might have struck a deal with the terrorists? That statement alone was already a massive red flag to Viktor about this kid's operational experience. But... again, he had no choice or say in leaving. Viktor couldn't leave? That was rich.
He turned away from Denryu and walked to Cion, rolling his neck as he was preparing for what they'd have to do. Tiger laid the plan bare and appointed each member with their own roles. As she assigned them, the fox gave a nod after the fennec, "Exit detail. Got it."
With that, he took a seat, waiting for the Trailmon to cross over to the human side so he could prepare to jump straight to his Taomon form and begin the escort and coverage of the hostages. Tiger's choices were set, but Viktor silently questioned them as he closed his eyes. Was having someone who gave the least amount of worry to the well being of the Hostages a good choice to cover their exit? How could she trust Viktor wouldn't break off and do his own thing? What of those least experienced or willing to fight up front? Was it a wise choice to have them make direct contact with the enemy?
It was out of his hands now, the fox would just have to see how this played out. Regardless, he was going to go home and sleep in his flat in Terminus when this was all said and done. But for now... it was almost time to make the green grass grow.

John and Runa both listened to Agent Tiger’s plan, the former turning his head slightly to his partner. “You have any objections to this?” He asked, “We don’t really have time to argue over this, so I’ll just go with it.” John nods and turns to Tiger, “We’re in.”
Runa was confident in her stealth and speed abilities, she’s spent most of her life hiding and avoiding the sight of others. Her combat skills though are a bit lacking, she could count the number of battles she’s had with other digimon on one paw, so she was a little on edge about fighting an ultimate, let alone champion.
The two of them noticed Panthermon approach, and sit next to them. The intended effect worked, Runa felt a little bit better, being reminded that there where others here who she trusted, at least somewhat. John was also nervous in this situation, there was a lot that could go wrong here, and he was essentially a greenhorn, Panthermon sitting next to him helped remind him that there where people with more experience there who got his back.

Agent Tiger was pleased that most of those present seemed to agree with her plan. First she would turn to Zaber. "Of course. In my experience, a useful tactic would be to bring into question a digimon's mortality while on Earth. While they may be willing to fight to death in the digital world, knowing that they'll likely end up in the Village of Beginnings, that outcome is not guaranteed, as far as they know, if they were to die fighting in the human world. If we manage to gain the advantage against them that way, we may be able to gain leverage over them that way, at least in morale."
"And of course, if we manage to get the hostages out of their grasp, that would also reduce a lot of their leverage." Jiro added.
Tiger then turned to Blitzwolfmon. "Yes, explosive attacks in a subway is probably not a good tactic. If you must launch such attacks, please try to aim away from support pillars." she said.
The DATS agent agreed with Denryu's assessment. "That's correct, as we speak, things are playing out seven times slower in real time in the human world. That's why we're here, so we can plan for an advantage."
Tiger and Jiro noted that Denryu and Viktor didn't seem to get along. Therefore if they could help it, they would try and get them to do things separately. They were a hastily gathered piecemeal force here and had no obligations to work together, but, hopefully as long as they could be kept from butting heads as much as possible, that would help make the mission a success?
Denryu then raised the possibility that the hostages may be held in a more secure place. Tiger pressed her palm to her chin as she pondered the significance of that.
"That is a valid concern." she began, hesitantly. "However, if they were to be held in a subway car... Trailmon, do you think you could couple up with it and haul it to safety?"
"If I had a half-minute to connect with its systems, yes." Trailmon answered. "But... what if they have that car rigged with traps? Like... explosives?"
"Unlikely." Tiger answered. "In our last encounter, the digimon involved could have done a lot of harm to innocent people easily. Instead they chose to escape without causing harm. The fact that they did that makes me inclined to believe that they don't truly want to do harm to humans on Earth."
"Exactly, we think they want to keep the moral upper hand here." Jiro added. "And if digimon start killing humans in their own world, that would give humans free reign to kill digimon in the digital world in retaliation." he turned back to Panthermon. "Still, we can't know for sure until our scouts can determine exactly what the enemy forces are and where the hostages are located. So until then, we have to keep all options open."
Cion then agreed to cover the evacuation of the hostages. "Excellent. I've seen your abilities in person, Cion, I'm sure you'll excel in this." Tiger said with a smile. Defending the innocent and hindering the enemy would be ideal.
As for the role of Viktor covering the hostage evacuation, Tiger trusted Cion enough to act as a backup, and that the defensive abilities of a Taomon (as far as she knew) would be adequate for protecting people. If they did this quick enough and got all the hostages to safety, then it would just be them and the enemy, hopefully them outnumbering their opposition in both individuals and power.
"Alright. If we're done here, we'll proceed." Agent Tiger said to the group. "Trailmon, we're ready."
If nobody had any further objections, Trailmon would begin its journey from the Terminus platform, carefully approaching the digital portal to the human world. Then he would come to a stop just before the portal to the other world. This way, the scouting party could relay information to them with the time difference in effect, so they could plan their method of attack faster.
Moving through the portal would be little different for them than if they were to take it normally on board the Trailmon.
"Alright... in this spot, we're 2 kilometers from the platform." Tiger stated, speaking quietly as they remained here in the tunnel. "Scouting party, are you ready?"
"If you need communication tools with us, we have some radio comms." Jiro said, offering them if needed. "But it's imperative that you are not seen, heard or otherwise detected. All we need from you is information on the enemy composition, position, and the location of the hostages." the Dracomon-X repeated.
"Good luck out there." Tiger told them.

The time difference did make Zachary worry, considering all of them from Nexus had an 'eye in the sky' via Logan and Datamon, but they had mentioned they had invented some tech that would sync up time in a sense pertaining to the connection they had. At most, they would have lag, as they said, but they could still communicate. "It's showtime..." Zachary said as he was ready to move along with the rest of them.
As the train began to move and drive towards the 'real world', Zachary met with Denryu as Panthermon kept close to Runa and John, purring softly. "I hope we will be able to work well together." he said, once again giving a positive encouragement to the somewhat chill young man.
The train continued with them on it, and Zachary wasn't 100% sure how the Trailmon really operated, but it was probably best not to question the logics of science in the Digital World. As he sat down and waited, he felt the shaking as they approached the portal and stopped.
Hopping off with Tiger and the others, Zachary approached the portal with Panthermon close by his side. He already got his Digivice open and active.
"Guys-- this is Logan. Remember, communications may get a bit choppy once you step in from our end, but I am gonna try to synchronize the terminal here with some programs to keep in touch. Be careful. We will be on standby when you need us." Logan informed, keeping the radio open.
"Roger that. " Zachary said to the phone and entered the portal with the rest.
The portal through felt smoother than Zachary anticipated. It was almost as smooth as one of NEXUS' Data gates, oppose to how choppy a Digital Gate was normally. The dark tunnel left little light for them to see beyond the maintenance lights around, but it was no hindrance for Panthermon or likely any of the fox Digimon who could see easily in the dark.
As Tiger and her Dracomon informed, Zachary nodded. "Panthermon and I should be fine. We have the communication function from my original D-Power/D-arc. Plus we also have a telepathic link... er, long story..." Zachary said, realizing that was one kernal of fact that he forgot to mention. Either way that was personal for a reason.
Panthermon felt a surge of excitement as he stepped forward. "Sit tight , everyone. I'll be back soon," Panthermon growled softly before them. With that, as sleek and graceful as he was for a black cat-- he merely stepped ahead and his form shimmered with the darkness. He vanished right before their eyes, now completely unseen and unheard with his cat-like feet. The jungle cat was on the prowl back in the concrete jungle of the terminal. No doubt that the others of the scout group would be right behind him as he proceeded to investigate what was ahead of the tunnel.
After a few seconds of Panthermon now gone from view-- Zachary snapped open the flip-phone style Digivice he had and with it-- a holographic screen opened up, for Tiger, John, Cion and the others to view as well. With it, they heard and saw what Panthermon could, and they could see him moving through the tunnel.
